Bonus Halloween Blog #35 Brutal Doom review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, today I am going to review one of my absolute favorite mods ever. Still one of the craziest I have ever seen. Even a member of the original development team loves it. I'm here to review Brutal Doom, it's so damn good. Clearly, I got so much to talk about in the actual review here.

Brutal Doom
Brutal Doom is virtually a mod updated version of most classic Doom games. Doom, Doom II, and both halves of Final Doom. Someone even made Brutal Doom 64, which technically better than the most recent port. This mod gives you so many options among difficulties, it's ridiculous. Not only that, they added great mechanics into the games making it more interesting.

Stuff like Doomguy not only has voice overs but also gives demons the finger. He also can rescue other space marines to help him out at times. You also can perform executions on the enemies. Some enemies has more of those awesome, sick animations than others. The level of violence is mind blowing. You literately can destroy enemies in a true blood bath style.

You also can use other mods along with Brutal Doom too. In every possible way, these classic Doom games are even better than ever before. Yes this also works with every expansion levels for Doom II as well. It's a little tricky to do with the Master Levels though. You also get a few new weapons like Revenant's weapon.

You can even directly aim which wasn't even possible in the original games. Which makes some frustrating sections notably easier here. Of course, they added a new attack for Imps making them tougher to deal with. The fact you can get this to work with other Doom mods. From smaller ones that adds music & weapons to those essentially being their own episodes or fan games.

Brutal Doom is a truly unique experience especially if you're a Doom fun. This mod is so incredibly satisfying, it's difficult to stop playing. There's a lot of updated versions of the mod itself. Yes, this also inspired similar mods in other FPS games too. John Romero absolutely loved the mod too. Brutal Doom nails exactly what you love about Doom games then takes it to a completely different level.

I even say this is the definitive way to play these Doom games. You can play this in all modes of these Doom games too. Just imagine doing coop with a friend, it's a lot of fun. You get the full experiences of those Doom games plus much more depending on additional mods you have included. I am not going to lie, I can't believe this mod even exists sometimes.

Brutal Doom is a true master piece among mods within video games. Yes, there's a lot of people who recreated the original Doom on anything you could possibly name including a candy bar? Sure why not lol, Brutal Doom is incredibly addicting to play. I can't even criticize it because if I had any issues. I simply could use a mod or two to fix the problem.

So I personally felt to me at least, this is the single greatest Doom mod I ever played period. Brutal Doom felt like how a lot of older FPS games should've been done. The best part is the mod itself being virtually free to download. Even Sigil, also created by John Romero could be notably improved by this mod.
