Jack Red reviews Sam & Max Complete Pack (Telltale game series)

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I knew the moment I started playing these games. It was going to be one of my absolute favorites from it's developer. I am talking about Sam & Max Complete Pack aka Sam & Max Seasons 1-3. Sixteen crazy filled episodes that's so ridiculous. It would rival even the highest ranked games on my official list.

 Sam & Max Complete Pack
1. Sam & Max Save the World (October 17, 2006-April 26, 2007) six episodes
2. Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space (November 8, 2007-April 10, 2008) five episodes
3. Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse (April 2, 2010-August 30, 2010) five episodes
Before we even get to these crazy games. I must discuss the history leading up to them. Lucasarts used to be the game company behind Star Wars franchise during the 90s to early 2000s. Within that period on the PC side of things, they were responsible for some point & click games like Monkey Island series.

They worked with the creator of Sam & Max himself for Sam & Max Hit the Road. They wanted to bring his work to life even before than a bad cartoon show with their names on it lol. There was a few attempts at making a follow up to Sam & Max Hit the Road like Sam & Max: Freelance Police. A few factors led to it's cancellation.

Then Telltale Games quickly got the rights to start making these Sam & Max games. It may not state it in any of those games. But these are essentially a follow up to Sam & Max Hit the Road. Obviously it follows two crazy policemen working on cases. Sadly at the moment I can't review the original Sam & Max game right now.

Honestly WOW just when I couldn't find such a ridiculous game series. Here we are, there's so much going on in just one of these that to imagine it altogether is way beyond the point of your heads exploding. Obviously some mechanics does apply to several parts. For the most part, you are mostly playing as the duo in some truly ridiculous adventures.

I would even state this is one of my personal favorite Telltale game series ever made. Clearly the humor is both bizarre & to some point at times goes over your heads. Sometimes it gets offensive as well as disturbing. Let's put it this way just when you think you seen a lot of this before. You are really aren't prepare for the madness of Max lol.

These games are mostly aging very well in my opinion. I should mention some of these got originally released on a gaming service that wasn't on consoles, Steam or GOG. Season 3 was also released on mobile devices. There's sixteen episodes worth of insanity. Now that's almost as many as their The Walking Dead games that is twenty three games in total.

Sam & Max in it's entirely should've made it's creator proud. Sure they might not sold as many as some Telltale games. At the same time, this does more recently get overlooked. I strongly felt you shouldn't be allowed to be called a Telltale fan unless you play these I'm serious. For me to even give you a little taste of what's in store.

Why ruin any of the surprises that awaits you lol. Trust me you need to have a very open mind with a twisted sense of humor. Otherwise you simply won't understand these games at all. I loved how it does stay true to the original DOS game based on what I played of it so far. Sam & Max Seasons 1-3 is still on purchase on Steam.

There's so many great moments that it would be a long list lengthy enough for possibly two or so blogs. Honestly Season 3 came out around Tales of Monkey Island. Another game I need to play more of along with Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. Sam & Max is like a mix between The Animaniacs and Ren & Stimpy that's more twisted than those two combined.

If that doesn't tell you how cartoon crazy this gets. You really need to watch more older cartoons from the 90s. I also grew up with some classics that had a lot of slap stick comedy in it. Sam & Max is worthy among their list of games. To me, this is one of the absolute finest of their work by far. Even with the notable time gap between Season 2 & Season 3.

Jack Red reviews Puzzle Agent series

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I finally get to review more games from my huge Telltale purchase. Among those was both Puzzle Agent games. But there's a few interesting things that really make these stand out. If you love being challenge by puzzles then these are up your alley. Good news is neither of these games sucks.

Puzzle Agent (2010) & Puzzle Agent 2 (2011)

Believe it or not, this was one of the earliest in development games for Telltale Games. They were collaborating with Graham Annable whose helped in many ways including the artwork. Puzzle Agent is a game filled with puzzles, I mean come on it's tells that simply in the title. Some of these can tricky while others could be difficult or surprisingly easy.

Considering both these games are really similar. I felt instead of writing two separate reviews with little to no difference to being a composite review. You are looking into this mystery centering this town about the disappearances of people. Honestly I liked the artwork because I watched several cartoons growing up.

Well it's humor comes out when you at least expect it. I would even say these are very straight forward games that likely inspired The Walking Dead series. Puzzle Agent series is a game you can't lose but you still could get confused or loss from time to time. I do recommend using a guide in the event you're stuck on the puzzles.

The actual story has an interesting way it plays out. But this technically ended up on a cliffhanger. I am probably one of those select few who wished there was another Puzzle Agent game. There's just something about this series making it easily one of their most underrated game series. Puzzle Agent series did borrow some mechanics from some of their earlier games like the map system.

Honestly this is a series if you love puzzles needs to play these games. It has a great variety of them through out including hidden puzzles or those you missed prior to completing em. Puzzle Agent series officially gets a good rating from yours truly. This is a great forgotten series that's surprisingly cleverly well done.

Jack Red reviews Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2 Part 1 (the Compilations)

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, It took me months to fully play through these Mega Man games. I didn't have any Mega Man games growing up. I knew about the franchise for years to finally decided to give it a try. I got to say I got a lot of positives with not as many negatives for both these compilations.

1. Mega Man Legacy Collection (Mega Man 1-6) (2015)
Capcom surprised a lot of fans by releasing Mega Man Legacy Collection on many platforms. I so happen to own both of them on Steam & Xbox One. This covers the first six Mega Man games. All six of these games were originally released on NES. Believe it or not, we almost didn't get Mega Man 6.

What happened was Capcom chose to move all of their attention to then newer consoles. Nintendo decided to publish Mega Man 6 themselves to release it. In other words, Capcom chose to cancel it's US release but Nintendo ended up releasing it anyway. They felt the fans deserves to play it. Now I am only going to talk directly about the compilations in this part.

You get some options to spice up the game play including save state. Now there's a lot of interesting challenges you can play to push yourself. The craziest challenge has all the robot masters in one long endurance. I will give them credit they done more than The Disney Afternoon Collection. All six of these Mega Man games plays perfectly.

You also get an auto fire button that's present in all six games to help you out. If you want it to represent more of the original hardware you could enable Legacy Mode. There's also a huge picture section for all six games. I am not an expert on Mega Man soundtracks but I do believe majority of those songs are present here.

2. Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 (Mega Man 7-10) (2017)
A few years later, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 gets released. This compilation covers Mega Man 7-10. Keep in mind, the following year Mega Man 11 came out. Eventually I'll get that one, now this is the more mixed collection. I am going to flat out say the later games are more enjoyable to me. It does improve a few areas over the previous Mega Man compilation.

I may not got to play the other Mega Man compilations prior to these. But I knew someone who told me a lot about em. There is no hidden bonus Mega Man game in both compilations. There is a few surprises if you know what to do. Now unlike the previous compilation, you can only do the checkpoint saving.

Obviously the controls do differ more in these games too. The emulation is mostly right on point too. Mega Man 8 can be difficult to emulate good enough to play. I seen this one YouTuber who at the time had to use an emulator to play it, eventually he got himself a copy of it. I am just impressed this represents three consoles from SNES to PlayStation 1 to finally Xbox 360.

I am not trying to upset anyone but to me the artwork looks better in this compilation. I do prefer the cover as well as some of the screen option pictures more. I felt this is more what I look for in a game compilation. Honestly both of these are worth checking out. In terms on what both delivers, I'm very satisfy with what I got truthfully.

Jack Red reviews Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2 Part 2 (the Games)

Hi once again to my readers, I'm Jack Red, we must continue by reviewing every Mega Man game. I will do a ranking for them all after the final game's review. Now I am a more recent Mega Man fan so I apologize in advance I lack your level of passion for it. I always had been a huge Capcom fan. I knew eventually I had to play these games.

1. Mega Man (1987)

The original Mega Man can be a difficult game but an unique one as well. You have six robot masters to defeat before going after the mad scientist Dr. Wily. Yes there are rematches during the Wily Stages with those robot masters. If you memorize which of their abilities is a weakness to another very well.

You can quickly speed through these rematches in no time. You don't have much protection from enemy's projectiles since they can go through them. There's a great variety of everything for a short platformer. Do I even need to mention the soundtrack being great because it is. This is a true NES classic more people needs to play.

2. Mega Man 2 (1988)

For a lot of people they consider Mega Man 2 as their favorite Mega Man game. To be fair, it is truly worth of that title. We get two additional robot masters increasing the total to eight robot masters. Obviously you need to defeat before going after Dr. Wily again. I got to say Metal Man is one of my absolute favorite robot masters ever.

Everything from his level to the song playing to his ability. All of it is easily one of my favorite Mega Man stages ever. This game also introduced a small area where you must do a rematch against all the robot masters. A theme that also carried over to Mega Man X series. I felt this was the most balanced NES Mega Man game out of the six.

I can't even pick a particular stage I honestly did not like either. Mega Man 2 has a truly amazing soundtrack with excellent sound effects. This game not only surpasses the original, it likely stayed beyond most of the games that followed too. To me this is not only a must play game. Mega Man 2 is the very game you could listen to it's songs every single day.

3. Mega Man 3 (1990)

Mega Man 3 introduces the slide, a personal favorite of mine. You also get eight more robot masters to defeat. Seriously where is this old man getting all of these robots? They added a new robot who appears in four stages you cleared. You need to defeat him eight times since he represents all of Mega Man 2's robot masters.

Yes imagine that not only you got this game's robot masters but also a robots whose essentially all of MM2's robot masters in one. I know that's a lot to take in even before going after Dr. Wily. I felt some of them are some of my favorites like Magnet Man yeah I know no surprise. I felt this game is a little harder than the previous entry.

Mega Man 3 does try it's best. I would say it's one of the best among those on the console. You really need to memorize a lot more than usual to get far in this game. I felt it is still a well balanced game for what it brings to the table. Easily one of my favorite Mega Man games I played. I also don't have anything major for the criticism side of things.

4. Mega Man 4 (1991)

It wasn't common for any series to have more than three games on NES. Mega Man 4 starts one of the most annoying treads this franchise has to offer. They go out of their way to make it seem like someone else is responsible for these attacks. In this case, a Russian scientist named Dr. Cossack was forced by Dr. Wily to help him.

He actually stolen his creations then claim em as his own. Even Dr. Robotnik wouldn't go that low. So this means for the first time, you got two castles/fortresses to play through. I felt this time around the eight robot masters are a mixed bag. Sure I actually like Pharaoh Man & Skull Man despite being tough bosses.

But come on Toad Man, Ring Man & Dust Man? Yeah I am a little disappointed, even the worst of them from Mega Man 3 was better than this. Of course, the soundtrack is once again a home run. I felt adding those Cossack stages to make the game a little bit longer. To be honest, I kinda prefer those over that of the Wily stages.

5. Mega Man 5 (1992)

This has one of the strangest stories in any Mega Man game. Supposedly the new eight robot masters being led by Proto Man. It's a pack of lies, we all know it's Dr. Wily lol. Just like Mega Man 4, we got two fortresses to go through. The first of these are Proto Man theme despite being an impostor. Yes the real Proto Man shows up.

I actually felt they did a much better job with the eight robot masters to make up for the previous game's. Who doesn't like Napalm Man lol. Some of my favorite abilities are in this game too. I felt as a whole, it's deserves more attention than it currently gets. I am not saying it's better than some of the previous games either.

6. Mega Man 6 (1993)

I felt the eight robot masters here are alright. Clearly better than some of those from Mega Man 4. Yes I am not going to let it down so easily. Once again, we got two fortresses to get through. Supposedly Dr. Wily's mentor being the one responsible for those attacks. Of course, you knew it was actually Dr. Wily in disguise come on now lol.

Mega Man 6 may have some alright stages with some great ones. It does have some of the best additions in the franchise. If you go out of your way to collect what you need. You can combine with your robot dog Rush just like that in the cover picture above to increase getting to difficult spots. I will say the soundtrack is once again great.

We already pass the point of somethings got ridiculous. It only going to continue getting more ridiculous over each new Mega Man game. By now you would think this guy would stop trying already lol. I will say he does live up to being difficult in this one. A handful of robot masters are well laughable for the most part.

I mean come on Plant Man? Is this the best you could come up with Capcom? I could excuse similar theme robot masters. I will say the challenge ends up being slightly easier if you get your upgrades. This is a well designed game that may not live up to the hype some have. I felt it was an enjoyable experience.

7. Mega Man 7 (1995)

Mega Man 7 to me was a bit of an disappointment. I wasn't a huge SNES fan, I was way more into Sega Genesis during my child hood. I actually got to be honest, I really do prefer the first Mega Man X games on SNES over this. I felt there's a few major problems that does hurt this game. Unlike most Mega Man games, you only start with half the robot masters.

After you defeat the first four, you'll get a short stage in the Robot Museum. Followed by the last four robot masters. Honestly I rather have the option with all eight of them. I felt they didn't want you to speed run it too fast by doing it this way. Yet a lot of people still beat the game fast so what's the point?

I do have to agree with some people's point about Mega Man being a bit too big on the screen. It makes trying to avoid some hazards more difficult. For the most part, I actually liked the robot masters. Well except for one, Spring Man I bet a developer really enjoyed a slinky as a kid lol. Hell Ace Ventura got a world record with one of those lol.

Thank god we only got through Dr. Wily after defeating all eight robot masters this time. At least it did me a solid by doing that. I wasn't that happy with some of the stage designs truthfully. I felt some sub bosses was harder than the actual bosses. You don't even need to replay stages. Mega Man 7 ends up leaving a rather sour taste in my mouth.

8. Mega Man 8 (1996)

Oh come on already you go through half the robot masters with a short stage again. I do felt the short stage did serve more of a purpose as well being more enjoyable this time. After you defeat Duo whose clearly held back on you. The last four robot masters are up to take down. How the hell did they allow Aqua Man.

No not DC's Aquaman, they actually got a robot character called that. Oh the horrible of that now legendary bad voice acting. OMG you got to be kidding me, Clown Man? Didn't they watch the mini series called IT lol. Oh well I do sorta liked Grenade Man & Sword Man. I felt this is a better roster than the last couple of Mega Man games.

Thankfully after defeating the last robot masters, you can start going after Dr. Wily. If you really didn't see that coming by now. You must need a doctor's visit or something lol. Now they included the PlayStation 1 version. There does exist a Sega Saturn version that adds a few things to spice it up. This was also an anniversary game, what a sad year for Mega Man.

I do need to talk about how they further break down the stages in a rather annoying fashion. You select any of the robot masters. At several points sometimes after defeating a sub boss. You go through a loading screen before continuing on the stage. Now I know this was a CD game, of course it had to load up.

I felt they could've disguised it more like classic Resident Evil games did. Mega Man 8 ends up being the sore thumb of these games. The voice acting alone will make you turn off your speakers I'm not kidding. The soundtrack is alright at best with some bad sound effects. Yes a console with great audio not nailing that in this game, you know something is wrong lol.

9. Mega Man 9 (2008)

A huge time gap occurs, I meant in real life not in the actual game's time line lol. They chose to go a rather different take on going to the basic. We ended up with an NES style Mega Man game that actually doesn't suck. Yeah a huge surprise, it quickly made up for the previous game. I felt this had one of the absolute best selection of robot masters to date.

I honestly can't name a single bad one well except for Plug Man. Are you kidding me, do I plug it in lol. The rest including Galaxy Man & Hornet Man ends up being my two favorites. Now Capcom sure has a dirty mind because they have a female robot master named Splash Woman. I am not going to add any jokes to avoid offending any of the ladies.

I heavily felt these stages are hands down some of the finest in the entire franchise. I also feel the same way about their powers. Dr. Wily with his weaknesses ends up being one of the easiest. I do like how they added these style cut scenes. I didn't mention that in the previous ones because it took a long time for them to finally get it right.

Unlike most of them, this was originally a digital release. Since then it has been on several platforms including Legacy Collection 2. This game also inspired Sega to do Sonic 4 games, yeah that didn't do far lol. Honestly this is one of my favorite Mega Man games to date. I'm positive for a big fan who played them through out their child hoods, this really hit home for them.

10. Mega Man 10 (2010)

Finally we get to the second most recent entry. This is a follow up to the previous Mega Man game. Before Capcom suddenly went dark about Mega Man franchise. Mega Man 10, oh ok how many times does Mega Man has to own you Dr. Wily? I swear it's like a divorced couple that's still living together.

I do kinda agree with some reviews I came across. Some of these robot masters I do like. Then there's Sheep Man & Strike Man? Wait doesn't Strike Man look similar to a boss from Talespin on NES? Besides that, Sheep Man in every sense of the word sucks. He makes some of the worst robot masters seem like a master piece.

The soundtrack is good enough to keep you going for a while but quickly becomes repetitive. Now that's never a good sign but at least it doesn't suck. Some of these stages are mixed while there are some great ones. I would say one of the tougher Dr. Wily boss fights is present here. Like Mega Man 9, this also was originally a digital release.

Mega Man 10 should've been named When will it ever end, Mega Man? Even Dr. Robotnik can take a hint sometimes. Hell even Dr. Cortex has more common sense than Dr. Wily. Well oh okay creating Crash the way he currently is wasn't a good idea lol. This game is sorta giving a similar repetition to the last three NES Mega Man games.

Honestly it might be a mixed experience but if you are patient enough. There is some good things such as both this & MM9 in Legacy Collection 2 comes with every dlc. You might have to enter in a code but at least it's there instead of going through the trouble of buying it all again. Mega Man 10 does have a great cover I do enjoy staring at.

Now it's time to rank the Mega Man games from worst to best...
10. Mega Man 8
9. Mega Man 7
8. Mega Man 10
7. Mega Man 5
6. Mega Man 3
5. Mega Man
4. Mega Man 6
3. Mega Man 4
2. Mega Man 9
1. Mega Man 2

What's the Difference? Fullmetal Alchemist Homunculi

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, a lot of people have compared both Fullmetal Alchemist animes including myself. But today I really wanted to focus more directly about the Homunculi. I will cover everything I can relating to both anime's take of this species. I think there's no better place than right on the direct differences.

How are they created?

In the manga & Brotherhood anime, a Homunculus named Father removed a sin from himself. Each one became their own Homunculus named after that particular sin. There does exist two exceptions to this since those two were originally human prior to becoming humanoid Homunculus. But in the original anime, they were created after every failed attempt to revive a dead person.

Thus they quickly got searching for a newly created Homunculus. Essentially they are creatures with traits of those of the deceased including memories. Some of them can be weakened by being in the presence of their human remains causing them great pain. It isn't clear why they were named after the seven deadly sins, Dante created most of them.

What powers them?

In the manga & Brotherhood anime, most of them are powered by a Philosopher's Stone. Which is created by force fusing human souls together. But in the original anime, they are instead powered by a weaker variation of it called Red Stones. Creating a Philosopher's Stone takes time as well as gathering more souls while a smaller fraction of that makes it more common to find.

Whose their leader?

In the manga & Brotherhood anime, A young alchemist named Van Hohenheim aka the Elric brothers' dad created a new life. But in the original anime, Van was in love with a woman named Dante. This being Hohenheim created led to tricking himself becoming immortal while it took on a god like figure of it's creator.

Dante chose to start cheating death after forcing Hohenheim's soul into another body. According to the rules, you can only perform it a few times before you start facing the penalty of decay. In other words, their father goes through two different takes of being an immortal man. On one hand, he created a being who created his own offspring over time for a truly planning.

On the other, Dante was a former lover of his. Her big plan was to attempt saving herself once again. Father's big plan was much worse in comparison. Obviously how the Homunculi were used was very different. Several centuries of being a leader while keeping their actions a secret. Honestly I have to give credit to Father for attempting the impossible.

What's different about the Homunculus featured in both animes?
Let's start with Gluttony, he mostly is a simple minded servant for the most part. The big problem is in the manga & Brotherhood anime, he was a failed attempt at recreating the gate. As in the same gate you would see after attempting to revive a dead person to only fail. But in the original anime, Dante was able to remove or give him feelings.

Next up is Lust, mostly what you see her do stays the same. The big problem is in the original anime, she partly remembers who she suppose to be. A former lover of Scar's that died. Thus later on decided to turn on her own kind. Obviously, in the manga & Brotherhood anime, she stayed loyal to Father.

Alright one of my favorite Homunculus there is, Greed has a very different role in both animes. To be honest I have to leave a part of this for the next section. Don't worry when you get there I'll explain more in detail. In the manga & Brotherhood manga, Greed up to a hundred years prior to the events chose to not be a part of Father's plan leading to his demise.

A similar case in the original anime where he was one of the feed good Homunculus along. He ends up getting most of his power taken to have Edward killed him. He still comes off as a villain with his own goal rather than simply being against Father's plan. Although in the original anime, he was coming after Dante prior to his death.

I have to say Envy has the biggest differences among those three. In the manga & Brotherhood anime, he has a bigger form filled from the souls either given to him by Father or he stolen. Yes we do get to see it's true form without souls. Envy has no true gender while late in the original anime is confirmed to be male.

The biggest surprise was his true identity as Hohenheim's first son. Yes in this canon, Edward is actually the middle child shocker I know. It also turns out Envy had a secret purpose to be a part of an gate leading to a parallel universe. His most powerful form in this version is that of a dragon. Other than that, his hair was heavily changed between both animes.

What's different about the other members of this species in both animes?

Obviously I'm more directly comparing the other members not present in the other anime. But I must get to the elephant in the room here first. As many of you know in both versions, Fuhrer Bradly is a Homunculus with a different name. Trust me when I say this is a little confusing due to the differences. You see how both animes greatly differs on the creation of their kind.

I can safely say General Bradley is two different characters in both animes. Let's discuss what both versions does have in common first. Both of them wears a few similar outfits ruling over a country while secretly working for the Homunculus. They also have impressive fighting skills with an unusual eye.

Now we can start talking about the major differences. In the manga & Brotherhood anime, Bradley was a Homunculus named Wrath who couldn't regenerate. But in the original anime, Bradley was a Homunculus named Pride due to being considered the strongest of his kind. Honestly I'm a bigger fan of him being Wrath.

Speaking of Wrath, the original anime had it's own Homunculus named Wrath. Who was created from two different attempts to reviving the deceased. Most of his body came from Al while parts of him came from their teacher's dead child. This creature acts like a spoiled brat until the movie. Wrath is a weird take of the concept in my opinion.

I must talk about the second Greed character in the manga & Brotherhood anime. Father forces a prince named Ling Yao to become the new Greed. Eventually over time started rebelling against his own kind. Unlike Wrath but like most of his kind, Greed can regenerate. Although he ultimately doesn't need it due to his Ultimate Shield ability making him insanely durable.

This Greed is a much better fighter with greater speed & reflexes. I am very surprised by the poll, the original Greed was higher on the popularity ranking. Greed so happens to be the only good Homunculus of his kind. I felt that's very interesting considering you expect the exact opposite for someone like that.

Oh man Pride is one of the absolute worst of his kind to run into. Bradley's adapted son is only a cover for this monster. The only child of Father whose a lot like him in almost every possible way. Pride is what you would expect. Sure having a body of a child works against him in combat but still greatly makes up for it.

I believe I got two different Sloth characters to discuss. In the manga & Brotherhood manga, Sloth is suppose to represent one with the potential to do anything but chooses to waste it. But in the original anime is more of a water like creature with shape shifting abilities similar in some ways to Envy. This also represents the Elric brothers' mother.

The manga version is a huge man being double the size of one. He is physically one of the strongest of his kind. It turns out he is officially the fastest of his kind. He spent most of his time digging tunnels. Sloth in the original anime has a more notable role due to being more involved with the story.

You see Sloth in the manga was just a hard working servant that was given an assassination job. But in the original anime, Sloth for the little time she was involved helped her kind doing horrible things. Clearly one of the most difficult to kill due to being a water creature. Sloth in the manga is very durable in his own right to clarify.

What was their goal?

In the manga & Brotherhood anime, Father was planning to essentially become a god. He was tired being a part of how God set things. He chose to do a ritual that involved those who attempted to revive the deceased to only fail. They were short of one person until they literately broken the rules further to force a penalty on Colonel Mustang.

This process also involved stealing a lot of souls to help keep God in check. Yes Father got to absorb God very late in this story. But in the original anime, sorry if I already spoiled it in advance. The so called ultimate goal was to attempt prolonging Dante's life a little longer. Ultimately Father gets screwed over twice that led to his demise.

Dante possibly got devoured by Gluttony to become that abomination in the movie. Dante was a human alchemist while Father being a Homunculus created by a human. To me, Dante's plan was flawed in fact stated to eventually fail to work. In the other hand, Father spent centuries to transform himself into a god.

Death Battle Fight Prediction: Lobo (DC) vs. Ghost Rider (Marvel)

A huge spoiler for the next fight it's Lobo versus Ghost Rider baby!!!

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, today I tackle a rather unusual kind of a fight to the death. Both of these fighters are widely known for having truly ridiculous regeneration. In other words, the big question you must ask yourselves is a rather simple question to get a complex answer. Who can truly kill the other person?

Lobo

Lobo is a galactic bounty hunter with a horrible attitude. Sometimes fights some of the strongest beings there is including the Man of Steel. Lobo is the last of his kind with a twist. He arranged a horrible attack on his own race killing them all to gain immortality. This forced the ban from both Heaven & Hell preventing most ways to die closed.

Ghost Rider

Keep in mind, several people shared the mantle for the most part. Robbie is more of his own take since a different demon possessed him that is more about killing. Anyway most people that take the mantle fight the supernatural to protect mostly our world for terrifying threats. Ghost Rider is considered to be one of the most powerful superheroes in existence.

Before I go into everything else, I am mostly focusing on Johnny & Daniel for this prediction blog. It is very likely one of them will be facing Lobo on Death Battle. So you can't get upset if I miss something.

Powers and Abilities
Lobo

+Czarnian Physiology (confirmed to only be killed by his own kind)
+Superhuman Strength (over 100 tons class)
+Superhuman Stamina (limitless)
+Immortality

+Self-Sustenance (doesn't require anything to survive)
+Ridiculous regeneration
+Bio-Fission (a weird method for clones)
+Genius Level Intellect (I know a shocker)
+Tracking
+Multingualism (according to Lobo can speak 17,897 different languages)
+Morse Code (believe it or not this is important to him)
+Expert Combatant

Ghost Rider

+Superhuman Strength (Lifting by default to 25 tons)
+Superhuman Stamina (limitless)
+Superhuman Durability
+Ridiculous regeneration
+Empathic Reading
+Identity Detection (he can know who you are by looking at you)
+Supernatural Awareness (anything supernatural close by alerts him)
+Sin Manipulation (it relates to your sins that determines what he will do to you)
+Sin Perception (by looking into your soul will see all of your sins)
+Sin Eating (he literately can remove/absorb any sin from anyone)
+Hellfire Manipulation
+Hellfire Infusion (alters whatever he touches through Hellfire)
+Hellfire Projection (essentially Hell theme attacks similar to super powers)
+Hellfire Forgery (capable of creating stuff through Hellfire)
+Hellfire Telekinesis
+Hellfire Attacks
+Hell Firestorm (manipulates the rain to incinerate his enemies)
+Soul Manipulation
+Soul Reading
+Soul Consumption (capable of stealing souls while the bodies to become lifeless)
+Dimensional Travel
+Mystical Chain Projection
+Demon Magic Manipulation
+Penance Stare (possibly the scariest power he has)
+Self-Size Alteration (capable of growing in size)
+Expert Stunt Rider/Motorcyclist
+Skilled Hand to Hand Combatant
+Occult Knowledge
+Essentially limitless with Zarathos in control

Weaknesses
Lobo

Lobo has a very bad temper that usually gets him into trouble. Due to being unable to die, he does get careless during combat. Speaking of that, he does keep his promises even it endangers him. Most of his attacks won't work on Ghost Rider.

Ghost Rider

It is a mixed bag when Zarathos takes control. Unfortunately entering churches or stepping on holy blessed grounds turns him back to normal. He lacks a solid way to put Lobo down for good. His soul theme powers are essentially useless in this fight. It is confirmed holy weapons can actually harm him during combat.

Advantages
Lobo

+Superior default strength rivaling Superman
+Superior default durability
+Superior default speed
+Faster vehicle
+More unpredictable
+Very likely to get under Ghost Rider's bones (he has no skin sue me)
+More likely to adapt during combat
+Flight forces Ghost Rider to quickly change his tactics

Ghost Rider

+Superior potential thanks to Zarathos being essentially limitless
+Superior overall max stats
+Way more god like powers
+Through Zarathos does have more confirm experience
+Due to his sin theme powers can quickly track Lobo
+Superior arsenal

Disadvantages
Lobo

-He has very bad temper
-Not as many powers & abilities as Ghost Rider
-By default can't actually harm Ghost Rider since he lacks holy weapons

Ghost Rider

-Some of his powers are essentially useless against Lobo
-Due to Lobo's biology, Ghost Rider can't take advantage of it to kill him
-Entering churches or stepping on holy blessed places disables his powers
-Really has to push himself to start holding his own against Lobo
-In a few cases, Zarathos has taken control without warning
-Lobo could easily force a distance battle forcing Ghost Rider to rapidly change strategies
-Ends up becoming predictable during the fight
-Even destroying Lobo's soul doesn't affect his ability to continue living

Verdict

Obviously a lot of first reactions will be stuff like this. "Oh man this is going to be another stomp." "Why another Marvel vs DC fight guys?" "Why even bother with two immortal characters?" "Holy crap they are finally bringing both of them on there I really can not wait." I am very sure you will have at least one of these reactions.

This is clearly a case only one stats truly matters. You could be way stronger but lack a solid way to win or being a truly god like being not capable of eliminating the threat.. I think durability in general should be your main focus. It is no secret, both of these characters have some truly broken regeneration with no clear limits.

Which would be rare even for Death Battle. Obviously no matter what one or the other does. The result will be the same every single time. So I did some digging yesterday for several hours on and off. I didn't want to lose my sanity over something like this. Thankfully I did find a way for one of them to die.

You see Ghost Rider might still apply to being the character until dawn. Unless something particular happens that allows him to continue being Ghost Rider. Even if it doesn't, there is something that can disable his powers instantly. Trust me this will sound like a bad joke, I thought it was at first myself. Basically by entering a church or stepping on holy blessed grounds will instantly disable them.

Now even if this doesn't occur during this fight. Death Battle does have a habit of bringing in stuff to make some of their fights interesting. Yes I am looking at you RoboCop vs. Terminator with that laser weapon. So knowing they are likely to do it again. It does state holy weapons can actually harm Ghost Rider meaning Lobo can use those to kill him.

Of course this will take some time for Lobo to figure out during the fight. Now let's get to the elephant in the room. By default, Ghost Rider will have a difficult battle ahead of time even with his powers. Lobo held his own against some of the most powerful beings in existence including Superman.

Ghost Rider is a much weaker character by default in comparison. However to some degree he can increase his size as well as how much of his powers he's using. The craziest scenario being if Zarathos decides to take control becoming a limitless being. Clearly Lobo held his own against Superman whose essentially has limitless potential.

So in theory he can handle Zarathos in this fight. Unfortunately for Ghost Rider, there's a very strict way to kill Lobo. He can only die by his own race. Which he wiped most of them out of existence through an attack he caused. He actually kills women he got pregnant for that reason. In this particular reason, he needs to bleed that creates clones.

Temporary all Lobos will be mortal but as soon as the second to last Lobo dies. The surviving one gains the ban that prevents all forms of death. Essentially this won't be like Guts vs Nightmare. No this is more like Bowser vs Ganon due to having a strict way to die. You know the kind most forms of it are useless but doing the only way can be difficult to pull off sorta thing.

In this particular case, there is no possible angle Ghost Rider can take advantage of fully killing Lobo. In fact, they can only kill each other making it even worse for Ghost Rider. I know some people's big question is what about the penance stare? Ghost Rider using it can kill you by forcing the pain of others on you for an eternity.

Even through it or stealing souls allows him to destroy em spiritually. Yet Lobo's body was still functioning fine without a soul. In most cases, if your soul gets destroyed, it will be a death among a death. However here it won't stop Lobo at all. Now this is very rare in both universes not including gods for living creatures to do.

Also if you enjoy infecting pain onto others or have no regrets doing it makes the penance stare useless. There was a time Ghost Rider used it on The Punisher but surprised he really had no real regrets. It is very likely one or both of those will play a factor in that as well for Lobo. Now going back to Ghost Rider having a difficult fight against him.

Some powerful characters like Hulk can easily dominate him. Although Hulk himself did state Ghost Rider is one of the exceptions he can't smash. No not in that way you sick bastards lol. So if he struggles against the likes of Hulk & some members of The Avengers. Then this should be an easy fight for Lobo to win.

To sum it all up, Ghost Rider lacks a way to fully kill Lobo for good. In vice versa, Lobo could knock him into a church or any holy blessed grounds. Thus removing his powers to quickly take him out in the process. Even if Zarathos takes control, he wouldn't be much different from that of Superman. Most of Ghost Rider's powers are essentially useless against Lobo especially soul theme ones.

Winner: Lobo

Death Battle Fight Prediction: Dragonzord (Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers ) vs. Mechagodzilla (Godzilla)

Special thanks to Simoun O'Brien for adding some important details on Mechagodzilla. To clarify on Dragonzord vs Mechagodzilla episode, it doesn't state when it will be coming. I figured in the event stuff coming up soon, to do this blog prediction early. I am honestly very proud of the work that went into it.

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, a little spoiler for those that doesn't know. Death Battle confirmed they will be doing Dragonzord vs Mechagodzilla. Now I knew this was a huge request, hell I requested it myself. Up til a conversation I just had with a friend whose a huge Godzilla fan. I didn't have enough information on Mechagodzilla prior, I got plenty to do this prediction blog.

Dragonzord

Originally a high school student named Tommy Oliver gets manipulated by Rita to attack the Power Rangers. Eventually the red ranger was able to free him from her control. Just like the other rangers, he has his own zord that's also unique in a few ways. Dragonzord is still unusual among many zords in the franchise.

Mechagodzilla

Keep in mind, there's a lot of time lines that has Mechagodzilla. So I have to do my best to attempt bringing them all in here. Mechagodzilla was originally created to stop Godzilla. Thus it was designed to destroy him. This thing is easily one of the dangerous enemies Godzilla has. Not only that each model is so different from each other that it's up to them how they will use this giant robot.

Before I go into everything else expected in a prediction blog. Keep in mind, some of what I will be talking about may not mash with particular Mechagodzilla models. In fact, there isn't much they actually share in comparison. So you can't be upset with me really trying to do the impossible here. Thank you for your patience please continue on reading my blog.

Powers and Abilities
Dragonzord

+Fingertip missiles (yes that's a thing)
+Drill tip tail
+Capable of combining with other zords up to three transformations
+Tommy or Jason can control it from outside by playing the dagger like a flute?
+More projectiles in more powerful forms
+Dragonzord Battle Mode uses a drill staff

Mechagodzilla

+Laser theme arsenal
+Depending on model made out of a durable matter
+Missiles
+Flight
+Head Rotation
+Through combining with Garuda becomes Super Mechagodzilla (yes he can do it too)
+Creating barriers
+Being physically strong to hold it's own against Godzilla

Weaknesses
Dragonzord

Dragonzord isn't bright by default. Most of the time, he tanks more damage than dealing it. Sure he can transform more times than Mechagodzilla but it still takes time. Also the power increase between these transformations isn't as big either. Also it is possible Mechagodzilla might be loud enough to affect the alternate control method for Dragonzord.

Let's be honest, Ultrazord takes it's sweet time to move. Also that form has only one method of attack. We don't know if it has enough ammo to fire like that again if the first attempt fails. Dragonzord by default lacks defensive options forcing it to be more likely to take damage. Even with it's projectile attacks are too short range as well as limited ammo to even matter.

Mechagodzilla

Keep in mind, a friend who really knows Godzilla is my main source of information here. Sometimes using too much of it's electricity arsenal causing losing power to affect it's ability to function. Some models are more durable than others. Although most models has a greater amount of both primary attack formations.

It will still take time for the pilots to learn them due to be more difficult controls than that of Dragonzord. Also it doesn't fly that much of the ground allowing some of Dragonzord's attacks to hit. In one model's case, the old spirit connected to those bones can steal control away from the pilots. Some models do have the option of becoming Super Mechagodzilla meaning others don't.

Advantages
Dragonzord

+Having two methods of control
+Dragonzord by default requires one to pilot
+More transformations

Mechagodzilla

+Superior overall stats especially durability that rivals Godzilla
+A lot more in it's arsenal
+Some models are several times more powerful like Black Mechagodzilla
+More direct combat experience
+More unpredictable
+Doesn't have any real weaknesses Dragonzord could take advantage of
+Most of it's arsenal can be use at any range
+Combining with Garuda is way faster
+More use to dealing with multiple giant monsters
+Can recharge with the same energy powering a town/city

Disadvantages
Dragonzord

-All the power rangers isn't as well trained as the pilots for Mechagodillz
-Isn't even close to Mechagodzilla's durability by a long shot
-More likely to run out of projectiles
-Despite having more transformations, the process takes longer than Mechagodzilla's
-Also adding zords doesn't greatly increase everything by much in comparison
-Some models of Mechagodzilla are way too fast for it
-Only Utrazord could come close of destroying one of it's barriers.
-Dragonzord isn't very bright by default
-Clearly lacks defensive tactics
-More likely to get damaged by monsters than dealing any real damage to them
-Most of it's arsenal was designed for close range combat
-Isn't capable of any form of recharge

Mechagodzilla

-Does rely heavily on electrical weapons that can deplete it's power faster
-Sometimes a spirit could take away controls from the pilots
-It can take a while for any model of Mechagodzilla to recharge
-Obviously will take longer for it's pilots to learn the controls due to being more complex
-While in flight mode is more attacks to some of Dragonzord's attacks

Warning I didn't expect the entire verdict section to be this long. Please take as many breaks needed before continuing on.

Verdict

This is a surprisingly clear cut fight for many reasons. All the zords were designed to take on giant monsters. They were also designed when needed to combine with each other to better their chances. Essentially their way of one upping them was adding another zord in like a game of Jenga. Thus the power increase isn't that notable.

Keep in mind, stated early on in my blog before I really started breaking both of their giant robots down. I did say some models of Mechagodzilla are very different from each other. Black Mechagodzilla was on a show that got stated to be ten times more powerful than regular Mechagodzilla.

Which bags the question just how powerful a regular one actually is? According to my friend, in a few ways is equal to the king of monsters. After all, it was designed to destroy him. You know similar to Metal Sonic was to Sonic, he gets just as close every single time. My point is despite being a robotic doppelganger, it can hold it's own against the real deal.

Now in comparison, let's be honest Dragonzord has a history of getting it's butt kicked. It barely got any kills because most of it's kills involves more powerful forms thus through help. Also since it was stated in White Tigerzord vs. Gundam Epyon episode, the other rangers can summon the zords. But we never seen Tommy it's original pilot do that.

Now they could work it in where Jason has two of their powers allowing five of them back for this fight. I still don't think that would make enough difference to matter. There so happens to be very clear proof late in season 1. Most zords got owned by Cyclopsis an evil zord Goldar was piloting. They only won both times because of Ultrazord.

I should mention for the final fight. Cyclopsis was given more power that caused spikes to appear on it's body. This also allowed Goldar to use more powerful attacks. Now in comparison, when Mechagodzilla loss badly. It does return with more weaponry as well as being more powerful as but the power increase was more notable especially in models compatible with Garuda.

Which meant if they couldn't change into that form, they would've loss with Rita finally winning. Of course that's not the only time they got owned that badly. Remember the episode with an genie. Yes this guy was already too much in comparison. They only won because some of their allies ended up destroying his lamb ending up destroying him in the process.

You are probably wondering why I am only focusing on those handful of ownage fights that they ended up winning through outside help? I actually got several reasons for doing so. For starters, Cyclopsis does have a similar arsenal to Mechagodzilla. The fact it took their strongest to beat him both times would mean Mechagodzilla very likely destroy them even before that point.

Even if they did succeed transforming into Ultrazord, The pace that form moves is much slower in comparison. Some models of Mechagodzilla moves way faster even without flight being used. They also have a history of being owned to the point, they were forced out of their zords in combat. Even their most powerful weapon in this case being those of Ultrazord wouldn't even do damage to him.

Clear proof of that is he does hold his own against Godzilla. Whose a very broken character capable of some truly ridiculous feats. Basically he has done stuff the power rangers can not even come close to. Godzilla's durability does include his ridiculous regeneration. One time, Mechagodzilla was able to have a scar stay on him.

Now this is a rare feat since Godzilla usually regenerates with no signs of it left. The fact he was capable of impacting an scar on a giant monster this tough scales him higher than anything else. In comparison to Mechagodzilla's durability is well debatable at best. One model has diamond platted armor while another has titanium.

You know one of those fictional metals stronger than steel but also lighter as well. Either it's one of those or another model's materials. His durability has shown to be nearly as durable as Godzilla's. Keep in mind, in some of his movies he does fight several monsters. Sometimes this occurs at once forcing him to be more on his guard.

To sum it up, even Ultrazord couldn't even hope to put a scratch on any model's armor. Oh wait I'm not done yet, Mechagodzilla has a bigger arsenal in comparison. For starters, he has plenty of defense while Dragonzord in all of it's forms lacks that entirely. Offensively, Mechagodzilla does have more range as well as variety of attacks.

Hell this giant robot can still function without it's head. Last I checked, the zords can't do that. I should mention on some episodes, there were times parts of the Megazord got knocked off. Which isn't a great thing against Mechagodzilla. All that's going to do is making it even easier for it to destroy Dragonzord.

Obviously the pilots for Mechagodzilla are more experienced but also has to learn more difficult controls. This comes off like a bad joke but Dragonzord's biggest advantage to me is having an alternate control method. Green ranger usually plays his dragon dagger like a flute or a similar instrument.

Clearly this by itself comes with problems. You have to know how to use the damn thing. It is likely Mechagodzilla could be loud enough to prevent Dragonzord from hearing it. Mechagodzilla does have a more impressive track record in combat than Dragonzord to begin with. At one point, Mechagodzilla did defeat Godzilla, a rare feat for any other giant monster to have.

The transformations to more powerful forms takes longer while Mechagodzilla with Garuda takes a few seconds. But there's a major power difference to consider. You see for Super Mechagodzilla becomes four times more powerful than it was before. It doesn't state how much more powerful the zords becomes after they combine.

The closest statement is the very one Death Battle used themselves relating to Thunderzords being more powerful. Sure there was a fight between Dragonzord & White Tigerzord where Dragonzord won. But it only did due several factors including white ranger being weakened prior. So as much I would like to take this as an impressive win, I personally can't.

Now going back to rangers being able to summon the other zords. I don't recall a single time, Tommy summon the other zords. Now if they chose to use red ranger with his powers. They could allow that rule into play. In the event, it doesn't however forces Dragonzord to remain at it's default form. Even weaker models of Mechagodzilla would be too much to handle.

This episode has more in common with Megazord vs Voltron. Which also involves two giant robots that can transform to a degree. Obviously more characters were involved. Yet they also had major differences to also make that a very clear cut fight. Megazord usually protects those of Earth while Voltron protects the galaxy, a major difference.

In this case, Dragonzord's advantages are essentially useless. Even in Ultrazord form does more harm than any real good. The transformation still takes longer than Garuda fusing with Mechagodzilla. Two similar transformations that are overkill in their own right. Yet in comparison, Mechagodzilla held it's own way better without that.

It seem every victory it got was because it got help from the other rangers. It didn't kill that many monsters in comparison either. Most of it's confirmed kills is shared with the other rangers especially in more powerful forms. Sure you could say for argument process, "You're judging too heavily on their lack of experience."

Let's be real here they're all from in high school at the time. Of course they will lack the experience most piloted Mechagodzilla. It's as unavoidable as Mechagodzilla winning this fight I'm not kidding. We seen much weaker monsters do critical damage to Dragonzord too. The drill staff wouldn't do anything if it hit Mechagodzilla.

Hel some of it's arsenal could easily end the fight fast. There's a huge difference between being designed to fight giant monsters & fighting Godzilla. Godzilla by himself could dominate Ultrazord in record time too. Dragonzord has fought a bigger variety of monsters while Mechagodzilla has dealt more confirm damage including those to Godzilla.

Even if this were to become a straight up fight low on everything. Some models of Mechagodzilla has insane level of strength that the rangers can not compete with. Mechagodzilla has too many ways to attack at close range making it's go to fighting style the single worst thing it could do in this fight. I highly doubt Dragonzord could wear Mechagodzilla's energy down enough to even remotely have a shot at winning.

Another major advantage for Mechagodzilla is it's more use to dealing with multiple giant monsters at once. Most of the time, it's Dragonzord with Megazord out numbering one giant monster. There are some exceptions they fight more than one. The fact, they struggle against some of the stupidest in concept monsters you ever heard of is beyond the very definition of stupidity.

Most monsters Godzilla fought more than once has some impressive feats too. Thus making holding his own against them more impressive. Most of the monsters they face doesn't have much feats at all. The most likely to do so is Goldar whose a coward anyway. There I finally state it publicity let's move on.

Now I know this has to be the single longest verdict I ever wrote. But trust me when I say, I got a lot of necessary information. I had to really look at this at an angle most of you won't. Let's be honest, most of you aren't even fans of both franchises. So you already lack enough information to comment. Mechagodzilla is easily one of the most confusing characters I ever covered.

Honestly trying to give a short summary of everything I just talked about is very difficult. Sadly to simple it may be the best option for those inpatient ones. The most direct way I can say it is Dragonzord simply really not meant for versus battles period. In every category, it lacks something critical making it terrible to even consider in these style fights.

At least in Megazord's case, it had a lot more going for it than this. In every possible way, it just fails short or a very large distance from those of Mechagodzilla. It isn't even close of being a good fight sadly. As stated earlier, it's so called advantages are basically non existence at this point. Mechagodzilla may be a doppelganger of the king of monsters.

At the very least it sure can tank a lot more damage & fought tougher monsters. Obviously there's a few models to consider with their own pros & cons. For this blog, I did my best to combine most of them into one. Yes I know to you Godzilla fans, that's making him incredibly op I know shut up. Sometimes you have to combine several characters/models together.

Even doing this with one model of Mechagodzilla can be frustrating. So to me there is no easy way of doing it. Tommy or Jason wouldn't even consider using dirty tactics. Unless Rita was manipulating Tommy for this fight, I highly doubt they would do that. Mechagodzilla still ends up being too difficult for Dragonzord to predict while in vice versa, Dragonzord would be too easy for it to read.

Also keep in mind, Zordon simply hidden the zords, yes he know how they would work but it doesn't imply he knew how to properly fix it. Even if that were the case his assistant, Alpha 5 does that. Sometimes Billy the blue ranger helps out. But usually that's for other forms of machinery. It doesn't even matter because both sides lack anyone aboard that can repair any critical damages.

Mechagodzilla in an emergency can use the power that Angel Grove or any city uses to power itself up. A fatal flaw in every zord is they don't regain any power they loss. I highly doubt this would be a real notable factor for this particular fight. I felt it still needed to be pointed out. We have a fight where one even at their most powerful form can't do anything against it's opponent at all.

Winner: Mechagodzilla

Why I Love the Leprechaun by Jack Red

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, one of my favorite comical horror icons is the Leprechaun. I know a lot of you are probably thinking "Dude you must be seriously high." No I always enjoyed even the bad Leprechaun movies except for Leprechaun: Origins. I went out of my way a day before St. Patrick Day last year to buy most of them on steam.

Warwick Davis & Linden Porco made the character very entertaining to watch. The original director attempted to recreate his success with a movie called Rumpelstiltskin. Which is more of a cult following than anything else. This little guy is one of the meanest killers I ever seen in any horror movie.

Obviously most of these movies are essentially their own time line with the most recent being a direct sequel to the original. Let's be honest, how many horror movies or anything in general you have witches? I felt this guy thought why do the easy route if I could pull off a more difficult one. Clearly you had to expect a little comedy in one of the silliest things you ever heard.

Let's be honest, some movie companies including Full Moon tried doing their take on a killer leprechaun. No one compares to Warwick Davis man. It's like Robert Englund for Freddy, Doug Bradley for Pinhead or Tony Todd for Candy Man. He was meant to play that role. Some of the most mess up kills I ever seen was in Leprechaun 3.

On the back of Leprechaun 2 some releases, it actually says he's meaner than Freddy. Now that's quite a bold statement if you ask me because he didn't hold back being a dick to people. Leprechaun Returns put a smile on my face like these Leprechaun movies. I do enjoy watching Porco playing a more dark, sicker take of the character.

It was way better than whatever that creature from Leprechaun: Origins. Seriously how do you call that thing a leprechaun, now those are the ones high on clovers. This guy does come off as one of the most powerful creatures in a horror movie. Sure he does have a lot of weaknesses. At the same time, good luck trying to get just one to work.

The weirdest thing is the original movie company was also responsible for Warlock trilogy. Yeah imagine that both the leprechaun & the warlock at one point was owned by the same company. Maybe one day I'll talk more about him. Leprechaun 4: In Space was just too stupid of a concept for it to work.

Well I did do another blog with that movie claiming it wasn't as bad as Dracula 3000. Trust me, if you love Dracula stay the hell away from that movie. At least in Leprechaun 4: In Space, we see the leprechaun turned his cane into a light saber to kill a space marine. A true fact relating to one maybe both hood movies.

Originally they were going to do Leprechaun vs Candy Man movie but Tony Todd was heavily against it. To be quite honest, I didn't feel that's the match up I would go with. Actually if it were possible I really would love to see Chucky vs Leprechaun. Two little guys that use different form of magic that are monsters in their own right.

I do enjoy that one joke early on Leprechaun 3, you know about brass balls lol. I do hope Davis does the character one more time. Even if he doesn't I will hope Porco to return instead. So you can't blame me when neither comes back to do the character. Let's put it this way, Jack Frost even before the very bad sequel was already too ridiculous of a concept to take seriously.

I seen two different takes of a killer sandman movie that was way better. Of course, these movies have a special place in my heart. The character himself is clearly one of my favorites in all of horror movies. Just imagine him fighting Wishmaster now I would actually pay a lot of money to see that. The Leprechaun himself is hands down one of the funniest killers.

To me, you aren't properly celebrating St. Patrick's Day unless you are watching these movies. Now going back to a statement earlier. I already talked how much I didn't enjoy a movie called Red Clover more commonly known as Leprechaun's Revenge. At least that was more of an Leprechaun movie than Leprechaun: Origins.

Jack Red reviews Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Warning this will be a lengthy blog review of a classic horror game. Trust me when I say just like playing it, you should take breaks to maintain your own sanity or you could be serving Dracula.

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I recently gotten Castlevania: Symphony of the Night earlier this month for free. I got it while I still had gold making it a free game. WOW I miss playing this on my Xbox 360. I beaten Dracula several times on Xbox One already. I actually got a warning amount of stuff to talk about.

I haven't played many Castlevania games. To be honest, this is the first Castlevania game I beaten. I got a lot of fond memories playing this game. I am not going to hide it, this is one of my absolute favorite Castlevania games of all time. There's so much content on one disc. Oh ok back then similar concept games had multiple discs on the same console or those on Sega Saturn.

So I'm very mind blown they got it on one disc is truly impressive. This follows Castlevania: Rondo of Blood not to be confused with Dracula X on SNES. A few years after Dracula was defeated, Richter suddenly went missing. Alucard whose Dracula's son decides to take his father on once again. According to a line Richter said, it was a few centuries since he last fought Dracula.

Unlike Castlevania 3's Alucard, this game really made sure to have him stand out. I am not kidding they added some RPG elements that never over stay it's welcome. You can grind by killing enemies or destroying particular candles for money. You also can equip stuff that does affect more than your stats.

Honestly this & Darksiders II are the very long games to nail how I prefer to play a game with those elements. I am not going to lie, just going through one gigantic castle will take you hours. Just imagine having to do two of them? There's plenty of rooms as well as enemies you will come across. Yes there is a learning curve for a few things.

Thankfully in Alucard's campaign, most of that you will quickly adapt to. There is only one merchant in one particular spot in the entire game. By the way I do have an announcement, as of a few hours ago. I gotten every achievement in this game. Yes even getting 200.6% completion one that was frustrating to do.

Well oh okay with great stuff as well as the back tracking it isn't that bad. What makes it annoying is finding some well placed hidden areas. Some of these areas involved getting in the water. Unless you got Holy Symbol, you will take constantly damage as long you're in it. I love for every major problem, the game has a solution.

The sound track is amazing with mostly great sound effects. But you knew I have to talk about the voice acting. Let's put this way it's alright but not really something to remember. Like the original Resident Evil had some cheesy voice acting with some hilariously bad lines. Even with X-Men Arcade with a select few engrish yes that's a thing is better than this.

There's plenty of places to save with fewer teleport locations. These allows you to move directly to a particular area. One of the most annoying flaws this game has without question is waiting to come back after you die. I would've been fine with game over that goes a lot faster or the option to continue.

Why do you have to wait so long to get right back in your save is beyond me. There's a lot of bosses more than your usual Castlevania game. Basically imagine Castlevania 1 & 3 bosses not including sub bosses. Now that's a lot of bosses to keep you busy. I highly recommend getting Beryl Circlet before facing Galamoth.

This guy will whip the floor with you fast. Thankfully while using Beryl Circlet, I was able to finally beat him. I would even go as far to say he's the most difficult enemy to kill in the entire game. There's plenty of amazing art work all around this game. Some of the special effects are among my favorites in this series.

Hard to believe for a decade, most who had the game didn't realize they were only playing half the game. Yes if you don't meet up with Maria to get Holy Glasses. You won't be able to save Richter thus getting the bad ending. I kinda like it isn't set in stone allowing you to go for the inverted castle. Some boss fights are two of them at once or only once three of them at the same time.

I highly recommend learning what you can about the bosses as well as some enemies. For example slime enemies can only be harmed by fire. Otherwise they are immune to whatever else you got. I really love how they went about using the maps in this game. I know all of this & more is a lot of information to take in.

The game itself is over whelming yet works with you at the same time. I do have one major complaint about this game. I don't own an Sega Saturn thus doesn't own the Saturn version of this game. I thought how they worked Maria in with several exclusive enemies was better than Richter's. Believe it or not, at the beginning of Alucard's campaign recreates Rondo of Blood's final boss fight.

This is the only time you will be playing as someone else in Alucard's campaign. Among beating the game in Inverted Castle unlocks Richter mode. You start up a new save typing in Richter to get started. This is sorta a mix between old & new Castlevania style that doesn't fully work. Oh ok this is essentially for many people a speed runner game in this particular mode.

Richter gets all of his moves from the start while you have to perform Alucard's. Yes you also can buy some of them but for a particular achievement. You must perfect all eight of Alucard's moves with a select few being frustrating to pull off. Richter isn't capable of fully exploring both castles. You don't even have to fight every boss.

You heard me correctly, depending on your game plan. You could be facing a couple of them or a handful like I did for the achievement. He doesn't tank damage that well in comparison. Some areas are more difficult to explore due to abusing his jump move that in some spots can be very annoying. One particular spot took me longer to get through then most of anything else in the entire run.

Richter does have some of those whip tricks from other classic Castlevania games. There is no story at all being told during this mode while Alucard's being full of them. A handful of boses like Richter, Dracula & Death aren't present here. Oh ok I can understand two of them but why isn't Death? Obviously Alucard is going notably slower while you can quickly playthrough it as Richter.

In all honesty playing as Alucard is where most the fun ends up being for me. Sure sometimes I have some fun with Richter but it's mostly frustration I feel. Speaking of frustration attempting 200.6% can be tedious. Don't worry I will do my best to explain what to do. Obviously defeat every boss including Galamoth.

You also need to fully explore everywhere in both castles. It should say on your save 200.4% after you do all that work. When you start the cut scene with Shaft. You should get it otherwise you are missing something. I recently heard of a glitch that temporary allows you to get 200.7%. But I wanted to do it more my way.

I recommend constantly looking over the maps while watching a few videos. Especially those showing where the hidden areas are. Keep in mind, what you do in one castle you must do in the other castle too. You get so much stuff to work with from stuff he wears to weapons to relics to familiars.

Yes I do need to mention there's five familiars you can have to help you out. They too also can level up to make things a bit easier. The weirdest part maybe this is just me. One screen Alucard has access to sorta looks nearly identical to that of Final Fantasy VII. I'm not a Final Fantasy fan but any means. I do know a friend who wouldn't waste any time to say something about it.

Obviously they led to a handheld Castlevania games of similar concepts. This could've inspired along with Metroid series, an genre going strong especially in indie video games. To be honest this isn't my first of those style games I done everything in. No that honor goes to Batman: Arkhma Origins - Blackgate on PC.

To be fair, this is a very good Castlevania games even with it's flaws. I am very surprised Konami didn't do additional deals with Castlevania Anniversary Collection. I would've as a preorder deal on Xbox One. Also include Castlevania: Symphony of the Night now how insane would've that been? Of course Sony could've done something similar with a 2 in 1 that also has this game.

The more I think about it, James Rolfe on his The Angry Video Game Nerd show. Directly in one of his Castlevania episodes was very right what he said about this game. If I were to add it to my Castlevania ranking. I would say it is around above Super Castlevania IV but below Castlevania III. It does deserves to be played by more people.

I am well aware like in many game franchises like the case of Resident Evil 4. This game not only became a gateway Castlevania game. It also started it's own fan base that was fighting against older fans. Honestly I'm more of a fan of classic Castlevania. I do still really enjoyed this master piece of a game.

Jack Red reviews Scream series including the show and Scary Movie

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I'm a huge fan of both Ghostface & Scream franchise since a young age. Considering season 3 of Scream show ended last night. I figured why the hell not, I'm going to review it all right here. Honestly I couldn't be any happier how this year treated the character Ghostface.

I also want to review the original Scary Movie since it's a parody of Scream series as well as I Know What You Did Last Summer. Interesting enough, Sarah Michelle Gellar was in both franchises. I want to get it all out. I bet some of you are surprised I liked Ghostface this much right? He always been one of my favorite slashers among Freddy and Chucky respectively.

I already reviewed all four Scream movies, I will be posting a link just in case you wanna see. https://jackred1989.blogspot.com/2016/10/the-final-week-of-halloween-thon-5.html

1. Scary Movie (2000)

For the record most of those movies sucks. The only other one I could recommend is Scary Movie 3. But my favorite always has been the original Scary Movie. It does a great job parodying Scream series making it even more comical than those movies are about horror movies in general. The mask for Ghostface in this movie later got owned by the same company behind the official one.

But they chose to not sold it due to confusion among their consumers. I also think because in the movie, that mask does alter a lot with some mess up facial expressions. Let's be honest that sounds more trouble than they're willing to try releasing it hoping without a serious situation occurring. What's more interesting is Dimension Films also released this movie.

Yes the same company the released all four Scream movies. Now that's rare even among parody movies to have the same company that done the movies it's parodying to release it. In my opinion, this movie holds up better than most parody movies. In my mind, this was another Scream movie to me.

Two actresses later got better roles to not come back in some of the later Scary Movie movies. Mostly Anna Faris whose on the sitcom Mom. This movie doesn't hold back on parodying other horror movies at times like The Blair Witch Project. Which is surprisingly among the author Stephen King's favorite horror movies of all time.

Honestly I grew up watching this movie a lot. It still is one of my favorite parody movies ever. Let's be honest, some of the newer parody movies are just so bad & not in a good way either. At least Scary Movie went in with some great jokes. I'm a huge fan of a few scenes including wazzup lol. Man it brings back a lot of memories just thinking about this movie.

2. Scream show seasons 1-2 (MTV) 2015-2016
There's a reason why I'm doing two different reviews on Scream show. MTV done two seasons with some of the same cast. This played heavily on secrets they hid from each other. Honestly I was surprised how well done the kills are. I do think in both seasons, the story does drag on a little too long.

At the same time, they stayed true for the part to the concept. Keep in mind, they didn't have the copy rights or okay from the costume company to use Ghostface. On both seasons, the killer is called Lakewood Slasher. They had to come up with a different mask that's sorta similar. Let's be honest it can't compete with the classic one.

Although I do like that mask for what it is unlike most Scream fans. You can kinda tell this is an MTV show because how they interact with each other or usage of music in general. I should mention season 2 ended with a Halloween special that was in two parts. Sadly due a lot of likely problems, they chose to drop this story line about Brandon James.

This also means we will never know who the final killer that killed the second killer actually is. You got to hate cliff hangers. Some characters are alright for the most part. Emma is essentially Sidney of those seasons. I felt MTV did the best they could but chose questionable times to air these episodes. Just changing when they came on would've helped a lot.

You do have to be patient about getting up to the killer's reveal. Actually there's an interesting fact about season 1 that not a lot of people know. Everyone including who was going to be the killer didn't know who it was until that point in time during filming. Honestly I loved they attempted that making it even more intense than it needs to be.

Overall this show is much better than I was expecting. The kills are mostly great at times with some alright ones. Lakewood Killer characters do the persona similar enough to Ghostface for me to like it. Believe it or not, Wes Craven was involved to a degree prior to his death on this show. I could recommend it if you want more Scream.

3. Scream show season 3 aka Scream: Resurrection (VH1) 2019
Say hello to the newest entry on this blog. Scream show season 3 aka Scream: Resurrection is a huge improvement in many ways. For starters, it actually doesn't suck unlike Halloween: Resurrection.  This is an original story separated from the first two seasons. They got permission from the costume company to use Ghostface this time.

A major complaint about the first two seasons was no Ghostface. Although Lakewood Slasher is essentially an alternate Ghostface in it's own right so I failed to see the problem. This is also the shortest season to date with six episodes. Yet I felt they did a great job giving us a full story that doesn't over stay it's welcome.

Thankfully there is no unresolved ending or story here. They actually got the voice of Ghostface, Roger L. Jackson to reprise his role. Keep in mind, some horror movie franchises are doing shows. I still say Ash vs Evil Dead hands down is the best one I ever seen without question. But this season of Scream show is for sure up there in my book.

The kills are amazingly well done this time around. I think one of the biggest surprises was Tony Todd appears on this show. One of my absolute favorite moments was his character fighting one of the killers with a hook hand. This is the closest we'll probably get to Ghostface vs. Candyman. I got very excited when that scene started too.

Scream: Resurrection is very true to it's name. It is a reboot that actually does not suck unlike majority of them. I would even go as far to say it's one of the very best in the franchise to date. This comes off like three two hour movies put together for a complete Scream movie worth watching. I am well aware this is currently mixed among it's viewers.

Trust me I understand due to the fact, it got moved on VH1 channel that's also a heavily music channel. Although they are more likely to air movies from time to time there. Another unexpected surprise is the actress Queen Latifah is one of this season's producers. Then again the comedian Chris Rock is doing the same on the upcoming Saw movie so whatever.

Out of all three seasons, I felt the twists was the best done. This might come off as the most predictable as well. I am very happy to say Ghostface was used for very well by two different people. Scream: Resurrection came back after three years with little to no word up til recently as of last month.

Sure it isn't as big of a time gap as Scream 4 from Scream 3. At least they took the time to make sure Scream 4 didn't suck. I actually think Wes Craven is smiling down on how well done this season actually is. I also felt the characters are more easier to relate to this time around. I felt they did an amazing job keeping stay to the movies while being it's own story.
