Halloween Blog: Which is more of an Halloween game? MediEvil or Zombies Ate My Neighbors

Just in case, some of you might ask I still haven't got to play MediEvil Remastered or the PSP remake. So most of what I'm saying is about the original PlayStation 1 classic. Easily one of my favorite PS1 games of all time. I always had a soft spot for Zombies Ate My Neighbors since my child hood.

Happy Halloween everyone, I didn't think I would get the opportunity to doing a last minute blog for Halloween. There is a few games I personally consider of being a true Halloween game you must play prior to or on Halloween. Today I will be doing a different kind of comparison between two of my favorite games.

Also I won't be including MediEvil 2 & Ghoul Patrol in this. Even if I were to do that, it easily ruin the purpose of this blog. Let's be honest, most of us knows MediEvil 2 is way better than Ghoul Patrol. So I felt this comparison works best with their respective original games. If this blog is a success, I'll consider doing a follow up blog for next Halloween with two different games.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors

MediEvil

This isn't about which is the better overall game. If that were the case then I would've easily picked MediEvil. No this comparison is more directly about which one ends up being more of a true Halloween experience. I don't see a lot of people doing that too. I am leaving my bias side out of this too.

Round 1: Characters

There isn't many characters to speak of in Zombies Ate My Neighbors. In fact, most of them are those you rescue. They don't bring anything to the table. But in their defense, all kind of monsters is after them. In a way that makes them come off like a horror movie. In the case, MediEvil there's more characters to speak of.

Most of them aren't exactly in the Halloween theme. So I will only be talking about the ones that do for this comparison. Sir Daniel Fortesque is an undead knight indirectly revived by his old enemy Zarok. He is a skeleton knight that takes on all kind of creatures. Sure having kids taking on monsters has been around in horror related media for years.

But there's just something about a skeleton knight that stands out more to me. Zarok is a powerful sorcerer that killed Fortesque in battle a long time ago. You also have a gargoyle that gives you information. There's also a merchant gargoyle that can come in handy at times. There's a level on a flying ghost ship where you take on a ghost pirate crew.

Dr. Tongue is the main antagonist of Zombies Ate My Neighbors. There is little to no story in that game. We can only go by he was the one responsible for most of these creatures. I felt just playable character wise I have to give it to MediEvil. But due to lack of story that sometimes a good thing in a horror movie or game.

I felt there's too many unanswered questions here. So I am going with MediEvil here. You also deal with possessed villagers in a level. The game will tell you to not kill them or their souls will become lost. This by itself adds more a horror factor into the mechanics. As much as I like Zeke & Julie, they didn't have enough on their own to take the round, also due to Ghoul Patrol.

Winner: MediEvil

Round 2: Enemies

There's a few enemies both of these games shares surprisingly. Zombies, giant ants, mummies, and mutant plants. To clarify, they do feature different takes on mutant plants. Both of them has so many monsters not featured in the other game that it's mind blowing. This is where I believe it possibly could come down to personal taste.

I should mention, there's more boss monsters in MediEvil. Each one stands out in their own way. I won't name every monsters you deal with. Trust me, a list for both games is a little long. Let's put it this way do you want a game with vampires, werewolves, evil toys, mermen & martians. Or do you want a game that has scarecrows, ghost pirates, shadow demons & Stained Glass Demon?

I felt the bosses in Zombies Ate My Neighbors are mostly there to act as parodying of several classic horror movies. Which does help giving the game the B-movie vibe. Like Snakenoids is a parody of Graboids from Tremors series. Real quick, there's a new Tremors movie coming out I can not wait. MediEvil has more enemies in the air in comparison.

I also liked even with strict to kill enemies, it can be done. But vampires in particular in ZAMN are very frustrating to force leaving the levels they're in. Even with the recommended weapon, it can still take awhile. Speaking of werewolves, some later levels you are forced to rush fast to rescue tourists. If you don't get to them in time, they will transform into werewolves.

Yeah it's kinda weird you can save some potentially dangerous people before they lose control. MediEvil does have some tough enemies of it's own. I felt just looking at majority of them. This very easily could be a tie for the right reason. Both of them uses different creatures the other one lacks in a way that works.

You could combine the two games into something truly unique here. Surprisingly that's how close this is. Here's where I'm at this, boss wise I'm going MediEvil but regular monster wise it has to be ZAMN. So I am officially going to do a first I ever done in any comparison I done. There's two different winners in their respective categories for this round.

Better monster roster (Zombies Ate My Neighbors)

Better boss monsters (MediEvil)

Round 3: Audio

Some might consider this an unfair category since I'm comparing an cartridge game's audio to a CD game audio's. But in this particular case, it is actually a close one here. Especially if using the SNES version of ZAMN's soundtrack. I felt both has plenty of songs that fits in perfectly for Halloween. Even some of the sound effects does that.

But I felt MediEvil has more impressive sound effects in comparison. Not many songs repeats in MediEvil, although you could end up replaying levels. There's fewer songs in ZAMN but all of them stands out. Honestly I am already considering pulling what I just done in the previous round here. Both of them have something better than the other in a few key areas within audio.

You could mix them up to making an excellent Halloween soundtrack with amazing sound effects added. Honestly that would be truly sick if someone could pull that off. Oh hell I guess I sorta got no choice here. ZAMN does have a few songs better than the best MediEvil has to offer. But in vice versa, the sound effects does help sell MediEvil to keep on playing it.

Even if it came down to the monsters themselves. It still a very close round to call. So I don't think there was going to be one simply taking this round. Also I felt in their particular areas they nail incredibly well, they earned it. This is me being as direct as well as being fair as I can possibly be here.

Better soundtrack (Zombies Ate My Neighbors)

Better sound effects (MediEvil)

Round 4: Weapons

Let's be honest, ZAMN has mostly stuff thrown in to making it more of a horror parody game. These were never meant to be taken seriously. But you still get surprisingly more weapons than you do in MediEvil. Yet this category was never about how many weapons either game has. This is more about which arsenal ends up being more Halloweenish in comparison.

Keep in mind, these games don't even share one weapon between them at all. Honestly ZAMN does have stuff like a bazooka, chemicals turns you in a few ways & the cross. It even has Pandora's box that destroys most enemies on screen. This weapon alone does come close to many weapons Sir Daniel wields.

Sure a good number of his arsenals are alternation versions of other weapons. But they do help making it feel more like an Halloween game. You do get weapons you would expect from a knight. You also get some magical ones, using your own arm & Dragon Armour. Sir Daniel also can use a few types of Lightning.

There's a particular enemy in ZAMN that uses electricity against you. Dr. Tongue's Frankstein creatures. You also can get the club caught on fire. Many things in horror doesn't like being near fire. A closer look at their arsenal after removing what isn't Halloween theme. I can safely say MediEvil won this round since it plays more on things than ZAMN does.

Winner: MediEvil

Final Round: Fear Factor

Keep in mind, ZAMN is heavily inspired by so many horror movies. MediEvil was inspired by Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, a personal favorite of mine. So ZAMN already go into this round with a huge advantage. Obviously most categories was taken by MediEvil. I know some of you are wondering why do this round if the winner being somewhat obvious.

The truth is for me the winner of this wasn't even obvious to me at all. There's a lot to consider from both of these games. ZAMN does do some things better than MediEvil. I also liked there's a credit level after the final level in ZAMN where you get to explore LucasArts' builiding itself. Sure it was done to play more of this being a parody game.

Let's be honest, playing both of these on Halloween is enough to get any gamer excited. In their own right, they do deserve that reputation for the holiday. They are excellent horror games that isn't meant to be scary. Although, somethings within them even from the game play could get people off guard. I felt this was something I always wanted to do for a long time.

Even to this day, I am thankful I got to play both of these classics growing up. Sure I didn't get far in them but my respect still remains very high for them. ZAMN plays more on nostalgia of horror movies while MediEvil comes off more of an original horror inspired action adventure. In both games, you do get to explore the levels.

I should mention, depending on versions of ZAMN that does also include regions. You could be get an game over with blood running down your screen or different color slime in other versions. In Europe, the game is simply called Zombies. I guess the title was too unpleasant enough to just leaving Zombies there lol.

MediEvil didn't get as much differences between regions. The biggest differences was not the US version doesn't have the big code. More recently, in MediEvil Remastered you can unlock the original game. Yes you can actually use the big code being the first time on console in the United States. Of course, those are just minor details to what really matters here.

MediEvil has a charm to it that will keep bringing more people in. In a sense so will Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Sure both of them can be difficult games in their own right. I felt MediEvil actually have cut scenes with a few that could scare people. It ends up being the edge for this category. ZAMN doesn't really have much for the ending either.

Also another great reason I would give this to MediEvil has to be that beautiful map selection screen. The more you play of it, the more of the overall map you'll get to see. I felt even in the original game itself, it's a true piece of art. I do like the Remastered look to the map selection screen as well. I will say level names wise ZAMN got this in the bag.

ZAMN's level names actually sounds like horror movies. Some of them even go like a more terrifying sequel to another level before the actual title comes up. I am not saying I didn't care for the level names in MediEvil because I do a lot. Even if settings had a role in this, I am likely to give it to MediEvil.

You get to explore the same graveyard twice, an swamp, an asylum, inside an ant hill, an place where many fell into the sea and an ghost ship. Even doing places like malls in ZAMN isn't enough here. Obviously locations is going to MediEvil here. This was never going to be an easy comparison for me.

Winner: MediEvil

Now nothing has personally changed for me here. I absolutely love both of these horror classics with an passion. I couldn't name another other horror game that could come close to one or the other. Which is exactly why I ended up with these two going against each other for Halloween. With everything considered, to me MediEvil is more of a true Halloween game.

Jack Red reviews The 11th Hour

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, not long ago I reviewed The 7th Guest. Now it is time to review The 11th Hour. There are notable differences between the two. Like how they went about telling the stories or how they went about digitized actors. You play as Carl whose goes to the same house from The 7th Guest to rescue a woman. Only one actor reprises their role, in this case being Strauf himself.

The actual acting isn't as good as some actors from The 7th Guest honestly. They did make major changes to the house. Keep in mind, this game took place sixty years since the original. I should mention, an official fan game called The 13th Doll is coming out on Halloween that's a few days from now. Honestly I'm more impressed by their work than what was done here.

The 11th Hour has more puzzles where you play against the AI. I do like you can skip cut scenes just not the first long one. Seriously, some of these cut scenes takes awhile before finishing. I liked there wasn't many cut scenes in the original that were long. The longest two was oddly enough the beginning & ending respectively. You see that's perfectly fine.

To me, there seems to be a slower build up in The 11th Hour. Even with some lines making you think you need to rush the game. When there really doesn't appear to be a real time limit. You got to love when a classic horror point & click game does that lol. This game didn't have the same success as the original. In fact, I would be truthfully surprised it ends up getting an anniversary treatment.

Keep in mind, I bought a lot of horror games the same day. Just like The 7th Guest, there's some great puzzles here. I am surprised in some puzzles, when you get help you can have it do either a turn or complete the puzzle. Now this would've been helpful for several puzzles in the original. I do enjoy the soundtrack a bit more during this game than the previous one.

Although some of my favorite songs in this franchise was in The 7th Guest. The riddles are very oddly worded but quickly gets ruined after you figured them out or use the device to giving you the answers. I felt this ends up being notably easier than The 7th Guest. There is some surprises you will find as you keep playing. One nice feature comes when you do a new run after beating it.

Where you can play each puzzle as much as you want. Honestly this is a great idea considering how frustrating a lot of them are. This would've made The 7th Guest a bit better in my opinion. There is also more codes for this game too. Including skipping directly to any AI theme puzzles. Thankfully you can't actually die during the game. Well oh okay, there is technically three endings.

You get to choose between three ladies that all end very differently from each other with one of them being a twist. The 7th Guest only has one ending but it was well done. I looked it up online in advance considering I am still stuck on an piano puzzle. I felt some cut scenes being removed would've made this game much better. I do agree some of them do add to the appeal in some way as well as revealing important stuff to the plot.

Did we really needed one cut scene being mostly about kissing? This game does have some flaws but surprisingly an joyful experience. I also felt Strauf had better lines in The 7th Guest. This comes off like you are searching for someone in an haunted mansion while the original quickly becomes a ghost story. I will say the live action portions is easier on my eyes in The 7th Guest.

I will go as far to say this game looks better than D as in D game by Warp. This is also an interactive movie theme game without live action portions on a strict time limit. Once again, I do prefer not having the time limit. I kinda felt based on what I played & seen of it, D is better than The 11th Hour not better than The 7th Guest surprisingly. The 11th Hour is a true sequel in what it brings to the table.

I strongly felt The 7th Guest has a better foundation for a story overall. I mean come on this is technically a twisted love story that could or won't have an happy ending. Even the interactions with characters was done better in The 7th Guest. I would consider The 11th Hour a gem that won't be as high up to play. I will say it just falls short to everything else.

I know I'm mentioning The 7th Guest a lot but there's still one more notable thing. In a few areas is actual copies of the game. This was likely intended to be an easter egg or playing on how self aware Strauf is. The 11t Hour may not been the best title for this game. At least The 7th Guest & the fan game The 13th Doll's titles do represent what the game's about.

The 11th Hour does give you the option of game speed. Honestly this helps in some puzzles while others not so much. I also liked it is easier to memorize the actual map. Although I do prefer how The 7th Guest used red to marked finished rooms. You also can rewatch several cut scenes at any time during game play. I would say The 7th Guest is slightly better but this did try being a follow up to such a classic.

It is because of that, I have fewer people I could recommend this game to. I will say I do now respect what this game got right. The actual plot sounds more like movies that do center around some form of romance than an actual horror game. I should mention, there is little to no sexual content in this game. So parents you don't have to freak out when they're playing this.

By the way, no you can't get Samantha to make a move for you or skip the final puzzle. In most AI puzzles, Strauf is incredibly cheap. They demand you to be trying being perfect but it's impossible. He will go right for moves to screwing you over. This is one of many major reasons why I do prefer The 7th Guest. It is kinda sad, they indirectly add more time to the overall length by having them when having more puzzles you're alone that could've been fun.

Jack Red reviews The 7th Guest

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I recently tried more than I ever have in completing The 7th Guest. This game is kinda forgotten by many horror game fans. It is more of an interactive movie than anything else. Even Bill Gates was impressed by it back in the day. You know the same guy who founded Microsoft, one of the biggest companies in the world.

I need to clarify no I haven't got to play the anniversary version yet. But I am sure I would love it more than this. The version I'm talking about isn't on digital stores anymore. The original version of this horror classic. In The 7th Guest, you play as a character that the game slowly reveals more about it.

In other words, at the end of it you will know who you are playing as. Now I thought that's a great idea. Sometimes knowing who you are in an horror game can take away from it. This was one of many early 90s games that used digital actors. You know having actual people appearing in a video game.

Right now, it is more about online multiplayer, VR & achievement/trophy hunting. But back then, this concept was a surprise they pulled it off. Sure a lot of similar style games didn't hold up for long. Which does include The 11th Hour the sequel to this game. Honestly, unlike D I am glad I can take as long at times.

Just imagine with limited controls to completing the game within two hours. I rather have some more time to figure stuff out in comparison. There is absolutely no enemies in this game. Your challenge comes in the form of puzzles. Some of them can be easy, some can be frustrating & a select few being very difficult.

I will say it right now screw the microscope puzzle. There is no set pattern with the AI being cheap & too on top of whatever you're doing. The goal is to hope you have slightly more blue slime than the AI's green ones. It could be calculated around 97% percentage of attempts ends in failures I am not kidding.

Thank god that puzzle is optional, I also heard touching a particular book gives you the puzzle. I don't know for sure if that's true. If it is I really don't want to play that puzzle ever again. Some puzzles do require a lot of patience even if you written down instructions. You will be amazed how long some of these instructions can actually be.

By the way, those still struggling on the portrait puzzle. I came across a helpful link to make completing it a lot easier. You first need to memorize the default colors you start on the puzzle. There is no set beginning pattern. But there's a lot of possible solutions with some being notably longer than others.

http://gamesolutions.efzeven.nl/7th-guest-portrait-puzzle-solution/

The actual acting is alright or a master piece if you compare it to The 11th Hour at least. I will say you also learn about the other characters through out the game. Some of them are more interesting than others like the magician. Every room mostly has one puzzle for the most part. You do get a map that could help paint an picture where to go at times.

I am aware this map was improved among in the newer 25th Anniversary Edition. I highly doubt The 11th Hour would get the same treatment. Not a lot of people knows this game was on CD-i console. Sadly it is the only game console it ever was released on. Although, I heard this port even with some changes is great.

Speaking of ports, iOS version removes some of the most frustrating puzzles out of the game. If I was playing that version, I would've finished the game by now. I felt it does give up a creepy vibe to it. Sure, there were better horror games during the 90s. Yes I confess I do prefer Harvester over this. How can you compete with something so terrifying mess up?

The 7th Guest is exploring the mansion to uncover the truth what happened there. The main antagonist loves to keep taunting you to the point he constantly repeat lines. Honestly, he does have some good lines but he has so many cheesy ones too. I prefer the cheesiness of Goosebumps: Attack of the Masked Mutant on PC.

I do see the appeal of this game, there wasn't many games attempted some of it's core ideas. But at the same time, even I got to say this version isn't aging well. I recently seen a great speed run of the 25th Anniversary version, now that's aging much better in comparison. This game can be complex in the puzzles but the story itself might not interesting enough for some.

I can only recommend this to those who love the game or similar ones in general. This game isn't a master piece you may expect. But in a way it should count as one since it does put you on the edge. Sure most of that comes from the puzzles themselves. Yet some cut scenes might be a little disturbing for some.

A few quick Death Battle predictions (Yu Yu Hakusho vs. Hunter x Hunter theme)

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I felt I should make this style of blog to further explain stuff relating to versus matches on Yu Yu Hakusho vs. Hunter x Hunter fights. Now I am doing this out of respect not to make one of the franchises to look bad. Trust me, the last thing I want is to do that. So I got a few quick predictions with the same guide lines I used in a similar blog.

1. Yusuke Urameshi vs. Gon Freecss

I seen people requesting this fight more often for Death Battle. Don't get me wrong I would love to see both of these characters on their show. But there's a few major problems making the winner very obvious. Yusuke is an upper S Class character whose among the top tier characters of his universe. By default, Gon would be around an D Class character in Yusuke's universe.

Now he obviously has a trump card move. Where he rapidly ages to his prime but this comes with a few problems. This alone puts a very heavy strain on his child body to the point it could kill him. Also this acts as a temporary power boost. Now this would be a little difference if Gon was stronger after doing it to better control of using this technique.

But Gon only done this technique once against one of Meruem's royal guards owning her badly in the process. Yusuke has access to his life force, spiritual energy & demonic energy from his demon side. Three different sources of energy while Gon has just one. Gon in that state is close to top tier character's level.

But in Yu Yu Hakusho, it is likely to get an C Class rank. No I am not low balling Gon here. Gon haven't done stuff similar to what Younger Toguro whose an B Class can do. Like one blow caused a building to collapse or carrying a replacement ring by himself. Obviously Gon has unnatural physical strength before even becoming an licensed hunter.

But Yusuke can easily take him down with ease. Yes Gon has powerful techniques but in comparison require more time to pull off. Also he has to be accurate to nailing a blow since it isn't fast. Even if it were fast, Yusuke was fast enough to have a quick punching section with Hiei. A character on many occasions to being faster than the eye can see.

Also Yusuke's techniques is simply better suited to a greater variety of opponents. Yes Gon is a clever strategist but so is Yusuke. Now I get why so many want this fight. They're both the main characters in two of the most famous mangas in the world by the same author who wears green. Yusuke stomps heavily in stats, raw power, more energy & a greater overall potential.

Winner: Yusuke Urameshi

2. Hiei vs. Killua Zoldyck

Obviously I talked a great deal about Hiei in a few blogs. I still need to state the obvious here. Hiei is an upper S Class character. He defeated five hundred A Class demons on his side. Despite this, I felt they actually got more in common than most of the main four characters. Both of them in an sense are assassins.

Killua does use electricity but Hiei quickly came back from a electric attack like it's nothing. Killua is likely going to be an D Class character in Hiei's universe. Obviously they're two of the fastest characters in their respective universes. But Hiei has shown greater level of speed in comparison. We are talking about a guy even greatly weakened was still faster than the eye can see.

Killua could count as a hyper sonic theme character due to some of his electric techniques. I should mention Killua uses specialized yoyos no I'm not kidding. These can rip right through trees but also could potentially kill people. Honestly even those wouldn't mattered in this fight. Hiei also has the Jagan eye that's ultimately why Killua would lose this fight.

You see this eye can allow Hiei to read Killua's mind, erase memories and create false memories. In other words, he has a few methods staying right on top of him not counting his ridiculous speed. He also could erase his memories relating to his fighting style to greatly limit his options. Also this being an random one on one encounter.

Killua wouldn't even know what Hiei is capable of. I will be honest to say both of them are easily among my favorite characters in both universes. But Hiei is simply too much for Killua even if he brought Gon into this fight. Now I know the complexity of Hunter x Hunter universe does play a role to a degree here.

I just can't ignore Hiei is way too powerful in comparison. His speed could easily surpass Killua's top speed with ease. His direct electric attacks are essentially useless here. Killua could put up some form of resistance mentally but it won't last enough. Technically speaking, Hiei could use the Jagan eye to control him with ease too.

Winner: Hiei

3. Kazuma Kuwabara vs. Leorio Paradinight

This one doesn't get thrown around as much. But in a way I do see why. Both of them are very quick to anger. They do have some great advantages over each other. I do need to point a critical fact about Kuwbara out. In the manga, he does become an S Class character. Yet in the anime version, the highest he goes is A Class.

Which is still ridiculously powerful for the human world to handle. Obviously Kuwabara easily wins in raw power alone. Despite how he fights is vastly different from many characters. He also has a superior weapon for this fight too. In his fight with Byako, he was able to stretched his spirit sword around to counted it in place.

Leorio is technically more of a strategist also due to the fact he's in the process of becoming an doctor. Yes he is an licensed hunter, Kuwabara does give up fighting late in the manga. If the power difference wasn't so big, this would've been a great thing for Leorio. Leorio did once punched Gon's father off his feet.

Although this was done intentionally since Ging knew what was going to happen. Leorio was a top candidate to becoming the next chairman among the hunters. So Ging would've fought back to own him badly if the situation was different. Ging is one of the strongest hunters in his universe. He basically let his own guard down on purpose.

Let's be honest, this is a straight forward fight. Sure Leorio knows more about the human body. But Kuwabara still has to hold back since he has enough power to destroy the human world. Even holding back a great deal, he will likely win this fight. I would rather see an argument or debate among these two than an actual fight now that would be way more entertaining lol.

I should mention, Kuwabara may not got training like many characters in his universe. He does have a lot of street fighting experience. After all, he was Yusuke's rival prior to his death. Leorio obviously spending a lot of time studying to becoming an doctor. So he doesn't have as much combat experience as the other three main characters in comparison.

Winner: Kazuma Kuwabara

4. Kurama vs. Kurapika

OMG, I also see a lot of people requesting this for Death Battle. But in a way I deeply understand. They are very similar characters in ways you wouldn't believe. I can technically say their differences aren't that different either. Both of them have a trump card that's worth noting in versus fight debates. Kurama gain the ability to transform into Yoko Kurama whose was him in his past life.

Kurapika has one of the absolute scariest potentials in his universe. When his eyes becomes red, all of the categories for all Nen type users becomes 100%. This essentially means he can do virtually anything including what some of the finest in their respective fields can't do in theory. Kurama uses demonic plants while Kurapika uses his Nen chains.

Although parts of that are exclusively for those among the Phantom Troupe. He also has a condition that in the event he uses that part of his Nen chains on someone else, he dies. But he also shown to force these onto others before. Kurapika can decide what you shouldn't do or you will die after doing that.

It is highly unlikely he would use that part of his Nen chains on Kurama. He was clever enough in taking down the physically strongest member of the Phantom Troupe by himself. Let's be honest, both of these characters are tactical geniuses. They are among some of the smartest in their respective universes.

Kurama by default has deadlier techniques like the one that killed Karasu or an tree used on Elder Toguro. Keep in mind, that tree is meant to suck out your life but Toguro was immortal. Just knowing Kurama has something like this makes him scary. Kurama is also an S Class character while Kurapika is likely around the ball park of D Class in comparison.

Honestly I do imagine more likely scenarios Kurapika could win this fight. It is way more likely out of the main four characters debates by far. Kurapika could enforce Kurama to no longer using his techniques. But he still would have a tough fight on his hands. At least, an weakened Kurama does partly help to even the playing field to a degree.

Hell, Gama used his paint to prevent his usage of spiritual energy. So this concept does exist within the Yu Yu Hakusho universe as well. At the time, Kurama had a difficult time with this. But he is likely to hold up a lot better in this fight. Both of them are difficult to predict making this easily the most difficult one to truly decide a victor.

Without everything considered, Kurapika could enforce what would be a draw on Death Battle. But it is unlikely Kurama would use spiritual energy if that's the condition to not die by his Nen chains. Also by using a part meant for the Phantom Troupe is more likely to kill Kurapika before that even becomes an issue.

Kurama's transformation also increases his stats along with his level of power too. To be fair, Kurapika is more of an unique character. He could do things that no body could potentially do on their own. Kurapika does have superior training thanks to the hunter exam as well as his teacher for his Nen abilities.

Winner: Kurama

5. Suzuki vs. Hisoka

Here is the kicker, I just did a little more research on Suzuki. Even he does become an S Class character. he isn't a greater fighter at all. Hisoka has constantly proven to be a great fighter. Even going up against Chrollo. Hisoka could caught on to him changing disguises. Let's be honest, even with limitations of Nen abilities.

Suzuki isn't that skilled with his own techniques. He didn't even last long in both tournaments he competed in. Also Hisoka's techniques Suzuki wouldn't understand. Yes I know he technically a more powerful character. But he haven't even pushed beyond his limits in canon. I meant that in a bad way too to clarify.

Hisoka is easily smarter, more adaptive & truly impressive fighting skills. An older Genkai easily defeated Suzuki in combat is clear proof of that. Suzuki relies on all the wrong things during a fight. I hate to say this, Hisoka has a surprisingly easy fight for one that's suppose to go the opposite way. Hisoka can handle being over whelmed to a degree while Suzuki can not.

Winner: Hisoka

Alright I found one fight debate between the two franchises where an Hunter x Hunter character wins. Maybe in the near future, I might be able to find another one.

Jack Red reviews Are You Afraid of the Dark? 2019 mini series

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, along with Goosebumps, I also seen a few episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark? show. It almost got a movie but due to what happened to Paramount. They canceled it, although it got saved as a limited three episode mini series. This is it's own story from the actual show.

Sadly I haven't finish watching the actual show to do a review on that. But I did plan on covering these episodes. Based on what I recall of the actual show, it is a small group of kids to teenagers telling scary stories. Around a camp fire in the forest when they aren't suppose to be outside. Although we do get to see some of that, it is more centered on for me a major problem.

Well oh okay I don't mine it has a carnival theme to it. But what I do mind a lot is it goes against the Midnight Society's rules. They tell scary tells that none of them are in. But Rachel ends up telling them a story with her in it that turned out to be true. She told the group about a mysterious carnival where children goes missing.

Suddenly, no one else remembers anything relating to it. This story focuses more on the newest member than what should've been an anthology of scary stories. To be fair, most actors are going a great job at acting. The actress playing as Rachel's mother is clearly overrating. It is almost like she needs to be heard rather than she speaking normal or maybe she's on drugs who really knows.

This aired several Fridays through out the month of October. So in a way this plays more towards Halloween despite noting being on the same scale as the actual show. I should mention the show got two main show runs with only member present in both of them. Surprisingly that guy isn't present here for unknown reasons.

A lot of people actually consider the show more terrifying than Goosebumps show I'm not kidding. I don't understand why the group chose to sorta mimic looks from The Purge series. I mean come on take a great look at both of those, you likely question why do that? Are You Afraid of the Dark? 2019 mini series does have some great story telling.

I felt they clearly cared about the show enough to make a few references. They did reference a small brief Zeebo cameo. Zeebo is still one of the scariest TV clowns I have ever seen. Personally Ghastly Grinner freaked me out more. Some episodes on the show does involve a carnival including Zeebo's. I would say some of the scares are a little better than what I was expecting.

I got to give praise to Mr. Tophat himself, what a truly amazing performance. He is the ring master that commands everyone working there. This sorta plays off of IT as in Stephen King book IT. Both involve a being mind manipulation people to turning a blind eye to them. Obviously this is more of a friendly horror mini series while IT more aimed to adults.

My point is this mini series doesn't wow me like Scream: Resurrection did. Yes I know that season/reboot got mixed reactions but I liked it okay. I felt if they didn't focus too much on Rachel, this could've been a bit better. Of course, they had to try throwing in a romance. I will be more honest to say Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween is better than this.

I will state the actual story with the added details is better than Scream: Resurrection or the first two seasons of Scream show alone. Honestly they delivered such an entertaining story. You can tell they weren't holding back on the scares. Like this cop gets over whelmed by a lot & I do mean a lot of scorpions.

I never seen scorpions used that much in horror related stuff. So I am glad one of my favorite creatures got used that way. Hell my favorite Mortal Kombat character is named Scorpion while I'm a Scorpio. So the whole scorpion thing is really in my alley. This felt like Rocko's Modern Life & Invader Zim movies on Netflix to me.

They do reference another famous character late in the final portion of this. They almost told a follow up story to the Ghastly Grinner. Now there's a character I remember strongly ever since first seeing him. The closest thing Goosebumps had to him was another personal favorite of mine. The Masked Mutant that also had the late Adam West.

Both of them are comic book theme that twisted parts of reality. Anyway I was a bit disappointed it got cut short. Although in this regard in a way it makes sense they ended it this way. So I'm mostly mixed at the very end of it but still a great ending. I will say they took their time to nailing this as good as they could.

Also I didn't think we get to see an underage kid driving a cop car. They do reveal a large important details in the final episode of this. You could be very confused if you only seen the first two to not ended up seeing this conclusion. Mr. Tophat sold his soul to continue running a carnival with a few problems.

Everyone will forget all of it's existence due to a particular incident that happened a long time ago. Trust me there's more to it that also explains why a said character being the only one capable of stopping him. Surprisingly the story itself had more work put into it than I originally thought. Honestly, this is one of my favorites in this franchise.

Yes I know a bold statement for someone who haven't watch every single episode. But for a limited time mini series that continues the spirit of the show. I will say it truly lived up to that legacy when it had major road blocks preventing it from happening. It is nice to see this was handled with care especially those people heavily into that show.

I am actually willing to let go this had a story that actually happened rather than a story they make up for their group at night. It does play on many things you would expect from that franchise. Thank god, Rachel's mom wasn't in the final episode of this. Sorry her character just doesn't felt quite right not trying to be rude.

How Similar is Capcom's Dead Rising to Lucasarts' Zombies Ate My Neighbors?

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I am sorta making an exception for this blog series. The games I'm talking about today aren't in the same genre. Although there are very strong similarities to make up for that. I will be comparing Dead Rising series to Zombies Ate My Neighbors. I haven't play Ghoul Patrol & personally I don't want to.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors was released 1993 while the original Dead Rising came out in 2006. I always noticed a lot of things these games has in common. I am just glad I can finally get this off my chest. Obviously both of them deals with zombies & psychopaths. Yes there is a few bosses in Dead Rising series that uses chainsaws.

Majority of weapons in Zombies Ate My Neighbors are also weapons in several Dead Rising games. You can throw dishes, fire water gun, rocket launcher, footballs, fire extinguisher, soda cans, tomatoes and flame thrower. Although the Sega Genesis version of ZAMN lacks the hidden flame thrower.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors is a parody of different horror movies in different genres. Mostly Dead Rising series is a parody to Romero Dead series. True story, due to what was on the cover of the original Dead Rising game. Capcom got sued by the company who owns both versions of Dawn of the Dead movies.

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record does add a space theme amusement park to the map. You deal with martians as well as their motherships in Zombies Ate My Neighbors. The more mutated zombies in a few games are similar to werewolves & mermans. I say this because they are more directly after you. It does take more ammo to putting them down.

Also, they move faster than majority of enemies. I should mention, both Dead Rising 3 & 4 has several types of zombies. Both do involve corrupt scientists to a degree. Well Dr. Tongue was the main antagonist of ZAMN. In a few levels, you take on football players that are under mind control. The closest Dead Rising comes to this was a particular maniac in Dead Rising 4.

Both franchises have using different types of cloning. This was mostly important to Dead Rising 4 to help introducing a new parasite. But in ZAMN, clones sorta mimic your movements. They come out on a mutant plant. ZAMN is widely regarded to being a difficult game. I think I speak for a lot of Dead Rising fans when I say the original Dead Rising was the hardest.

If it isn't obvious by now, in both games you rescue regular people from monsters & psychopaths. Boss fights in ZAMN often repeat from a select few but only motherships doesn't need to be defeated. You can take them out by using soda cans but this requires finding a strict angle on the map with a lot of cans.

There is no insect enemies at all in Dead Rising series. The most common places found in both franchises are labs, neighbor hoods & malls. Dead Rising Chop Till You Drop on Wii added two zombie animals as enemies. To clarify, zombie poodles are essentially it's take on werewolves. There is no zombie parrots.

There is a tiger boss you could kill or tame to becoming your ally or give as a gift to your daughter. Sadly, a second player is the only help you will get in ZAMN. Honestly trying to find this tiger is almost like fighting just one vampire in ZAMN. Trust me when I say, they will take a lot of damage to make them go away.

Although there is motherships that are in the air. Obviously two vastly different things. You also get stuff to drink that grants you abilities. In ZAMN, it is chemicals including a randomize one. Funny enough, Dead Rising series has a mixed drink called randomizer. One shared ability among these is increase speed.

You could compare Ted from both versions of Dead Rising 2 to the giant baby boss. He isn't bright but you could sorta see the similarities. There is evil toys in several levels in ZAMN that tries to kill you & those you need to rescue. The closest Dead Rising gets to that is Slappy. No not the Goosebumps villain you wish lol.

Slappy was a mascot for a clothing brand that's found in one of the malls. He comes off like a giant doll since he kept his costume off. You can create weapons in several Dead Rising games. Obviously ZAMN has hazards not present in Dead Rising series like spikes on the ground. By pure coincidence, there is a castle inside a mall in Dead Rising 4.

No it isn't a real one but you can explore it. This is the closest it looks like those castle levels from ZAMN. I should mention, more sports related stuff are also weapons in Dead Rising series. There isn't many small enemies in ZAMN. The shortest boss character in all of Dead Rising is Evan the Clown.

He is the brother of Adam the Clown from the original Dead Rising game. He needed stilts to see above people due to his height. Obviously ZAMN has smaller enemies than him like evil toys & mushroom men. One surprising difference is once sometimes dies in Dead Rising series, they're dead. But there is a set amount of survivors.

It doesn't even matter if you save everyone or let them die. It doesn't affect which ending you get at all. But in ZAMN, you will start with ten people you need to rescue. Among losing the last one will give you a game over. Now you can continue playing after losing a few people. You just won't know which victims won't be present.

You can gain a victim back by doing well in bonus levels not including the credit level. Which itself is a joke on the developers of this game. Dead Rising series does do jokes about itself as well as other Capcom series like Resident Evil. Dead Rising series does have vehicles since you are traveling one huge map rather than a series of them in ZAMN.

Honestly, this was the big one for me. I keep noticing more similar things between these than anything else. I already consider Dead Rising series as a spiritual successors despite no one from ZAMN worked on any of those games. Yes you can dress up similar to Zeke or more ridiculous than that lol.

Jack Red reviews Goosebumps show & both movies

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, one of the first horror shows I ever gotten into was Goosebumps. Yes I been around a lot of the books, Slappy always been a personal favorite of mine. I also seen both Goosebumps movies. So I figured since I haven't talked about Goosebumps in general to review it prior to Halloween.

1. Goosebumps show (1995-1998)

Based on most original Goosebumps books as well as a couple Goosebumps Series 2000 books. There is a handful of original episodes as well but most of those aren't great. I remember watching a couple episodes including a few I had on tape. Yes one of those was The Haunted Mask. Some of these got a few episodes mostly the case for Night of the Living Dummy 3.

Largely what you expect from the books was present here. Yes there are some notable differences that started becoming more notable in later seasons. Most of these earlier episodes are better than the later ones. This was due to low ratings, being rushed out & altered too much of the story. This also explains Chillogy episodes.

There was great special effects with good enough story telling to get the job done. In some ways like aging is a mixed bag. The later seasons are aging horribly while the first two seasons are aging very well. Goosebumps also had a few exclusive VHS footage with the author himself. Most of this is now present on Netflix.

I felt they did a great job playing on a lot of different fears. I would even go as far to say for a child's horror show that I still love. It truly deserves the title of a true Halloween show in my eyes. You got enough creatures alone to stop right there. I simply loved how they used Slappy on this show. Sadly it wasn't clear why the canned episode based on Night of the Living Dummy 1.

Honestly, this brings back a lot of memories. Goosebumps also continuing with several newer series. Including those Slappy is narrating himself. The success of the book sells as well as those watching the show led to a few spiritual successors by. R. L. Stine. Like Fear Street & The Haunting Hour. It also led to our next entry.

2. Goosebumps (2015)

Goosebumps was an interesting take on the concept. Slappy got freed from his book, he released most of the monsters. A group of kids had to send them back that ends up being more difficult than even the author thought. Jack Black plays both his roles incredibly well. Funny enough, not long ago he started his own YouTube account killing it.

I felt they pulled most of the right monsters in this movie. The concept of facing most of them at once would be terrifying. I felt the writing itself was great with some surprises you won't expect. Goosebumps is very true to it's name.

I am even sure the author himself is proud of it. Obviously they had to make a sequel. Before I start going into that. Goosebumps does have better special effects than those on the show. I will say the theme to that show is still the best Goosebumps song ever. Honestly they did a great job with a difficult concept to nail.

Jack Black is hands down the best character in this movie. Sadly, he moved to a more minor importance in the following movie. I liked how they went about even the little things. They went out of their way to making you believe this is Goosebumps. I felt this movie is going to become a family friendly horror classic your families & friends will watch for years to come.

They even made it more difficult to stopping them too. As long they remain outside their respective books, they are essentially immortal. Slappy does look more faithful to the books. Although I'm still slightly more of a fan of the show Slappy more. This was a great take on a series of horror books. This movie nails most of it like a home run.

3. Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween (2018)

This movie did change from it's original concept. But to be fair, doing an entire movie at Horrorland wouldn't be able to add much to it. So I am very happy about this new concept they ended up with. Goosebumps 2 has a different Slappy from the previous movie. He is more magical with a more twisted plot.

This time, Slappy went to a store like Party City to transform the costumes & similar stuff into creatures. Personally I love this since he went to the perfect place. Places like that has all kind of Halloween stuff so just imagine a good amount of it becomes alive out of the clear blue. An employee got transformed into a creature too.

This also affected a lot of people's Halloween decorations. Thus suddenly the entire town was under attack. Some may say "Oh the last movie did that." Yes it did but how they went about a similar concept is what makes it so difficult. A new group of kids had to take on these monsters. Jack Black had a smaller role since he was starring in another movie during production.

Goosebumps 2 is also very true to the brand as well as the title itself. This also screams Goosebumps with an passion. Yes a couple monsters got reused but they were newer monsters not those from the previous movie. A different actor voices Slappy in this movie. I kinda felt side characters works better here while main characters was better in the previous movie.

Honestly, this movie may be mixed by some but it still has some appeal to it. This would be a great movie to watch with your family especially if you have kids. Goosebumps 2 is a great sequel that sorta comes off as it's own movie. There is loose ties between the two movies. I felt they did a great job with this.

How Similar is Midway's Mace: The Dark Age to Bandai Namco's Soulcalibur?

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I know this did a take on this topic for another blog series. But I can go more into direct details here. Just how similar is Mace: The Dark Age to those of Soulcalibur series? I would say they are similar enough to doing this blog entry. I grew up with Soul Blade on PlayStation 1 as well as Mace: The Dark Age on Nintendo 64.

Both of these fighting games uses weapons in a medieval setting. In a little bit, I will be throwing out a series of quick comparisons between characters. More importantly, both of them ends with defeating a powerful being. Of course there's a few major key differences in the game play. I just felt Mace: The Dark Age coming two years after Soul Blade or Soul Edge depending on which region.

I know there's a few short lived fighting series that had weapon combat. Even a few Mortal Kombat games went that route before they went back to the basics. Speaking of Mortal Kombat, Midway also responsible for Mace: The Dark Age. You can tell by the finishers since you can kill your opponents. You also can call by parts of the environment.

Some stages could come off as being similar to a degree but more different. Originally both started in the arcades to then get ported to a console. Sadly, Mace: The Dark Age didn't caught on like Soulcalibur series. Although it eventually left the arcade business while Tekken series still doing it. A lot of weapons are used in both franchises.

Lord Deimos & Nightmare are dark lords wielding a giant sword (Lord Deimos came first)
Grendal & Astraoth are both living stone creatures (Yes I know Grendal came first)
Ragnar & Rock are both warriors wielding an giant axe
Xiao Long & a few characters are bo staff users

Both games involves defeating a powerful being to gaining a powerful weapon. Soul Edge or the Mace of Tanis respectively. Mace: The Dark Age never got the opportunity to use guest characters. It was likely Soulcalibur series buried it early on. Majority of endings deals with those powerful weapons.

How Similar is Rare's Killer Instinct to Sega's Eternal Champions?

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, guess what Killer Instinct wasn't just similar to Capcom's Darkstalkers. It turns out Eternal Champions on Sega Genesis came a year before both those games. Now I am not directly calling Killer Instinct a rip off or to insult it in anyway. I just wanted to make it clear it wasn't the original fighting game with it's concept.

Both of these games has a dark tone even going as far as killing your opponent. Sure in Eternal Champions series it is mostly stage finishers called Overkills. In just the original Killer Instinct alone you had stage finishers, killing your opponents, ultra combos, ultimate & humiliation. A few stages in a way are sorta similar.

Obviously the stories in both series is vastly different. Killer Instinct 1 & 2 got ported to two of Nintendo's consoles while Eternal Champions games are exclusively for their Sega consoles. Well oh okay the original Eternal Champions has more methods to get officially. Both do involve a ruined world with hope from a few fighters willing to take on something bigger than themselves.

Both these franchises has a great soundtrack overall. Now I can't say much on the sequel or the spin off games. I do know by reputation those spin off games are bad so even if I did play them I'm choosing to ignore them. Even how the story is presented ends up being a major difference. Killer Instinct does what most fighting games at the time did while Eternal Champions has a option.

Yes you can look up a long but a very written story for each character. Their endings are also beautifully written as well. This also means there's no real cut scenes either. So it depends on you, either you could go with bios that come up during the demo stuff or look up their stories directly. Honestly this is surprisingly similar games in a couple of ways.

Fulgore & R.A.X. are both cyborgs
Mire & Midnight are both vampires
Jago & Shadow are both assassins
Kan-Ra & Xavier are both magic users
Aria & The Dark Champion are the one responsible killing their worlds

Majority of these games are set up for one to potentially saving their world. Eternal Champions has most characters that could make a difference to saving mankind but died prior to that. The Eternal Champion was never able to fully find all of them. He has enough power to revive most of them to facing each other for a chance to redeem themselves.

In truth, the Eternal Champion wants the winner to face his dark counterpart in combat. Regardless, Gargos has a similar reputation to the Dark Champion. Killer Instinct comes off more like many fighting games. I just can't shake the similarities between these games. The fact I already compared Killer Instinct to Darkstalkers should be altering.

Death Battle Fight Prediction: Injustice Superman vs. Batman Who Laughs

Please be patient with me, I am slowly adding pictures to this prediction blog. I wrote it from my laptop last night.

Warning I am covering a very dark version of Batman that's disturbing. I will talk about what I can about him in a way you don't freak out or throw up. We are talking about a character whose just as evil as Carnage but potentially more dangerous. Alright if you choose to stay don't comment to me. One more thing, technically yes this will be taking Meruem vs. Cell's place but it will be worth your time.

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, Halloween is next Thursday. A friend of mine told me about a fight that really caught my attention. Plus one of these characters could come off as being twisted, evil & to some degree Halloweenish. Today we put two evil alternate universe counterparts of two legendary comic book super heroes against each other.

Injustice Superman

Superman got drugged by The Joker that led to the death of his family as well as Metropolis. During Batman interrogating The Joker, Superman interrupts to killing The Joker. From this point on, Superman enforce his new way of doing things. Every criminal must die to keep the world as well as the universe safe.

Batman Who Laughs

Alright the short origin story is he already was an experienced super hero. One night, The Joker chose to do some truly horrific nightmare filling things. Like blowing up hospitals, killing Commissioner Gordon in a rather painful way & recreate the tragedy that led to him becoming Batman. This caused Batman to breaking The Joker's neck to inhale a modified Joker Venom that's transforming him into a monster.

Powers and Abilities

Injustice Superman

If you already know the basic Superman powers, you already know this version's. Honestly he doesn't doesn't appear to have any powers that some versions have while others do.

+Superhuman Strength
+Superhuman Speed
+Superhuman Durability
+Superhuman Endurance
+Heat Vision
+Freeze Breath
+Ridiculously hearing
+Superhuman Reflexes
+Flight

Batman Who Laughs

+Gadgets
+Black Kryptonite (modified to cause Superman to go insane)
+His visors (multiple functions)
+Vicious Robins (No I am not kidding)

Advantages

Injustice Superman

+Superior Strength
+Superior Speed
+Superior Durability
+Superior Endurance
+Superior Reflexes
+Superior Senses
+Has several powers
+His dark metal cards won't affect his universe either

Batman Who Laughs

+Likely can get green kryptonite
+More unpredictable
+Through his visors can travel on his own to other universes
+Better strategist
+Has a team capable of killing Superman's Regime
+More likely to kill people without any hesitation
+Easily the better manipulator
+Technically doesn't have a physical weakness

Disadvantages

Injustice Superman

-More arrogant
-Doesn't have any counters to any form of kryptonite
-Needs help to travel to another universe or back to his own universe
-Very likely to misread Batman Who Laughs in this fight
-His group can't handle Batman Who Laughs group of evil Batmen
-Very likely to be overconfident
-Does have some form of humanity left
-Hates getting taunted
-Not likely to caught on to Nth metal being a weakness

Batman Who Laughs

-By default his gadgets or his fists won't do much to him
-Obviously is trump in all stats by a huge margin
-Doesn't have any powers
-Can't use dark metal cards to alter reality if this fight takes place in Injustice universe
-His Robins won't do much to Superman or the Regime
-Likely to laugh a lot
-Nth metal can weakened him & his group of evil Batmen

Verdict

Alright this might come as a surprise to some. Both versions of these characters has done some truly horrible things. Especially true for Batman Who Laughs that are borderline what I can & can't talk about. This is a fight between two heroes becoming the worst villain in their universe. Both went down this path following their murder of The Joker.

Injustice Superman is similar to some of his evil counterparts while Batman Who Laughs ends up being vastly different. It turns out, Batman Who Laughs' visors has many abilities. One of them allows him to see things within another universe. It was noted he likely seem a large amount of the multiverse.

Keep in mind, Injustice Superman with help didn't get information from a parallel universe prior to going to one. So they were in the dark about what they could be expecting while Batman Who Laughs wasn't. Now this fight wouldn't actually be multiversal by any means. I just needed to point it out since in a regular fight that's a possibility that could happen.

If both of them brought in their respective teams. Who is likely to come out on top? Well the Regime isn't that different from most universe counterparts. But in the case of these evil Batmen, each one came from another universe within a particular section of it. In this case being very evil versions of characters like Batman.

Red Death stolen Barry Allen's Speed Force making him a speedster Batman. Believe it or not, there actually exists a Batman who chose to become Doomsday by infecting Doomsday DNA into himself. Now considering what a regular Doomsday can do, this version is going to be much more dangerous. My point is all of them are Batman from their respective but destroyed universes.

Thus they do have a lot of the same experiences, gadgets & information. Therefore, a team of evil counterparts being all Batman is very bad for Injustice Superman. Batman Who Laughs could find green kryptonite since it's common to find on Earth regardless on which universe. Batman has enough information to stop or killing the Justice League.

Which does include the Man of Steel himself. Batman Who Laughs could fire black kryptonite into him. Regardless this won't do much to him but this version of it once caused his universe's Superman. Oh ok folks this is where things are about to get very dark. Superman was driven to insanity, he already was most of the way there.

Batman Who Laughs killed his Bat family as well as the Justice League on purpose. He fired black kryptonite into him to forcing him to killing his own family. In this case, it was his wife Lois & their child. Now isn't that sadistic or what? Batman Who Laughs still maintains the tactical part of himself making him even more dangerous.

Injustice Superman does have powers that do require solar energy from the sun. Except if it was a red sun, I wouldn't surprised Batman Who Laughs could use that against him too. Both of them got experience prior to becoming these respective villains. Let's be honest, Injustice Superman became a dictator while Batman Who Laughs becomes a chaotic monster.

A monster so bad The Joker had to team up with Batman to stopping him. You know you are bad when someone whose amazingly evil themselves has to stop someone worse than yourself. Sure his Robins won't do much to Superman or the Regime. But Batman Who Laughs has proven to be a truly amazing strategist.

Injustice Superman is about order as well as kill every criminal within the universe. Another universe counterpart of theirs prevented him from bringing that kind of hell to their own. But in the case of Batman Who Laughs. Well his original universe was dying, he wanted to best Batman from a particular universe.

This version killed several Bruce Waynes from a couple of universes. Also Injustice Superman doesn't take taunting kindly. Unfortunately, Batman Who Laughs has what he needs to putting him down for good. Injustice Superman's best way of winning this fight is fly from a far distance to flying right into him.

I can tell you if he doesn't do that, Batman Who Laughs will likely come out as the victor. He actually has proven to be even worse than the version of The Joker that made him this way. Speaking of that, this Batman he was facing chose to risk his own insanity to learning how to beat him. I am not kidding, he was using a similar mixture of Joker Venom that transformed him into a monster.

He nearly gave in but The Joker was surprisingly true to his word in helping him. By that point, his body was already curing itself from that mixture. Batman Who Laughs has exactly what he needs to guarantee this victory. Sure it could take some time finding green kryptonite. But his team of evil Batmen alone will rip the Regime into pieces.

As strange this is, Batman Who Laughs is an expert in breaking people down. His visors also allows him to see dark energy as well as what can break people down. By now, he could be crazy enough to recreating what happened to his family with Metropolis just breaking him down. Even if this greatly angers him, Batman Who Laughs likely is prepare for what's coming next.

In vice versa, Superman isn't that different from his evil counterparts like Ultraman whose similar in a few ways. Batman Who Laughs is essentially a chaotic mixture of Batman & Joker into each other. Sure the multiverse has hero & villain versions of both characters. But this particular evil Batman has done some truly evil things.

End of the day, Injustice Superman didn't technically have full control over one universe. His goal was to rule every universe within the multiverse. Which is virtually impossible due to infinitive amount of universes. In vice versa, Batman Who Laughs simply wants to prove a point. No it is not he's the best Batman.

Hell no, his point is he has no restrictions at all holding him back. In his mind, he is the happiest Batman there is. Easily the most dangerous version of Batman that another version of Batman ever faced. Batman Who Laughs killed some alternate universe's counterparts of his enemies in cold blood. Like killing Bruce whose working with the Penguin but he kills everyone there mostly from Penguin's umbrella.

Probably the best advantage Injustice Superman has going for him is simply not being from his portion of universes. You see Batman Who Laughs uses potentially dangerous dark metal cards. If not used correctly can poison you or worse. These cards can alter reality to a degree but that only implies to those line of universes.

Therefore, Injustice Superman fighting in one of those universes can put him at a greater disadvantage. Due to needing help to teleport between universes greatly reduces this possibility. Regardless, Batman Who Laughs has some critical advantages I simply can not ignore here. I will say Injustice Superman is a great villain in his own right but Batman Who Laughs puts chills down my spine.

What I am trying to say is Injustice Superman mostly remain to what you do know of the character while Batman Who Laughs doesn't. I am not going to lie he's incredibly dark. In fact, just before writing this prediction blog, I realized why he seem so familiar to me all of a sudden. I will get to that in a moment, I have my money on Batman Who Laughs.

Winner: Batman Who Laughs

Judge Death

Judge Death from Judge Dredd multiverse. Batman Who Laughs may or may not been inspired by this guy. But the similarities are very notable. Judge Death became the top judge by murdering the man at the top of command. Which is similar to what Batman Who Laughs done in his own universe. Judge Death with his dark judges wipe out all remaining life in his universe.

Parts of their appearances or the way they talk are similar. Let's be honest, both of them are incredibly evil even for comic book standards. It isn't clear if Judge Dredd was a counterpart of his or not. In Batman & Judge Dredd's eyes, both of these monsters are exactly what they don't want to become. They don't have any regard of any living creatures.

The fact they aren't even restricted to one universe anymore making both of them truly terrifying. These two see humanity as a waste. They also led a group of super natural beings that can terrorize those of a parallel universe. Honestly do I even need to go any further? These two characters are strikingly similar to the point if it weren't for a few key differences.

I could argue Batman Who Laughs being a rip off of Judge Death. Although there's so many rip off comic book characters so even if this were the case. Unless a lawsuit suddenly comes up, no body cares. To be fair, I do like both of these characters. Two terrifying villains that will do absolutely anything to cause chaos.

Jack Red reviews Conker's Bad Fur Day & Conker: Live & Reloaded

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I get to talk about a game that might not aging well but still one of the funniest I ever played. Conker's Bad Fur Day on Nintendo 64 is one of my absolute favorite games ever. Rare had a lot of classics on older Nintendo consoles during my child hood leading up to my early teen years.

Most of what I will be talking about implies to both versions. Yes both of them are playable on Xbox One being the only console to do so. Conker gets drunk to the point he ends up getting loss. He does get help on the way, sometimes he has to do some rather unpleasant stuff. This game was originally aimed for a younger audience until critics kept saying we're getting another cartoony platformer.

They decided to completely change direction to transform what was going to be a sequel to Conker's Pocket Tales. It ended up becoming a stand alone game. The closest sequel for Bad Fur Day was dlc for another game that quickly got shut down. Yes I seen what happens in that, I really wasn't happy with it.

Conker has some clever jokes that still has appeal to this day. It plays similar to Banjo-Kazooie but in a way it parodies that experience with a South Park twist. South Park was a major impression to this game. Keep in mind, South Park had a couple bad games during this period. In fact, they're so bad the creators of the show became more directly involve with later South Park games.

More importantly, some of my favorite Rare characters appears in this like Gregg the Grim Reaper, Conker & Count Batula. The cut scenes alone are among the best parts of both versions. Sadly I can't say the same on the multiplayer. I am going to flat out say I didn't care for Live & Reloaded's. It attempts to bland in with many online multiplayer games at the time.

Yes I know there's technical a sequel portion to Bad Fur Day in this version. But that also fell incredibly short to this. The original version had a lot more options overall. You also can use codes while you could unlock potty mouth option that doesn't fully uncensored lines during multiplayer. How they went the character designs between both versions was alright.

They did make a few minor changes in the campaign. Like you now need to get a baseball bat to hit the gargoyle or an extra Dr. Tediz sub boss in It's War chapter. Speaking of that chapter, they added a little portion to it near the end. But they also changed how you can leave into the chapter as well. Originally you need this eel to shock particular spots under the water.

Guess what they change that to? You guess it just throw the switch ready guys? The controls are technically better in Live & Reloaded although I do like them in Rare Replay version. I should mention Rare Replay version does have achievements. Which I quickly got them all early on that's how much I love this game.

Who couldn't forget about the Great Mighty Poo lol. Basically this portion of the game is heavily toilet humor. It is better than actually telling you what's going on there. You have to defeat the final boss like how you beat Bowser in Super Mario 64. Trust me, on any controller it can hurt your fingers after awhile.

Honestly I am a huge fan of the original N64 game but just don't care much for the newer version. It just isn't the same guys. Conker has some truly ridiculous moments like the famous sunflower cut scene. I am still amazed Nintendo allowed that on their console. Seriously, Conker's Bad Fur Day did an amazing job parodying movies too.

I really prefer how Spooky Chapter was originally done too. They did add more enemies in the remake. But Some of the jokes quickly loss their appeal. I felt it is still better than Perfect Dark Zero & Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. Other than that, I can't recommend it. Conker's Bad Fur Day can be a little strict at times but can still be fun to play.

The voice acting isn't common among N64 games due to limitations of those cartridges. But I got to be honest they do rival those of Perfect Dark. In fact, both their multiplayer modes are even better than GoldenEye's. Conker is essentially saying alright the joke's over the real me is coming out. I absolutely love this game with an passion.

How Similar is War Gods to Primal Rage?

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I grew up with several fighting games. Among them were Primal Rage on Sega Genesis. Which was ported by the same team who ported the first Mortal Kombat games as well as Batman Forever to several consoles. Oh the horror that is Batman Forever still one of the worst controls I ever experienced in a video game.

Later in my child hood, I gotten War Gods on Nintendo 64. Oddly from the same company responsible for Mortal Kombat series. Maybe this is just me but War Gods comes off in a way ripping off Primal Rage. This is purely my own opinion but I felt some people might've at least once thought that.

Primal Rage originally hit the arcades in 1994 while War Gods came two years later. It doesn't help a few Midway compilations had Primal Rage. In both games, you play as gods that ultimately wants to be the supreme god. Obviously, how they went about this concept is vastly different. In Primal Rage, most of the roster was dinosaurs & two giant apes.

War Gods actually given us demi gods to real gods in comparison. Also you do get finishers that kill your opponent. Which majority of those are better in Primal Rage. War Gods didn't even come close to the amount of ports Primal Rage got. Let's be honest, Raiden & a few gods were playable in Mortal Kombat series.

In a way since Raiden was playable in Mortal Kombat 1, both of these are ripping off that concept. War Gods does have two real bosses while Primal Rage forces you to face every character in one match. Yes you can play as those boss characters but it is differently among the ports. I can only directly judge the N64 version.

War Gods was created to better Mortal Kombat 4's chances with the new 3D animation style. Sadly MK4 was the last arcade release in that franchise. It is kinda weird but you let the game run sometimes you will see bios in War Gods. But the endings of Primal Rage do reveal the origin to each character.

Eventually a different giant monster fighting game that isn't Godzilla related called War of the Monsters done that. There is more playable characters in War Gods but a lot of moves are too similar between the characters. At the same time, Primal Rage didn't really didn't have that problem. By now you kinda see what I had to write this.

Midway in some way was involved with both of these games. Yes they do have a saying that's different from Mortal Kombat's Finish Him/Her. In War Gods, it is Prove Yourself while in Primal Rage you get nothing at all. I can't exactly compare characters to each other like in my previous related blog.

Whose banned on my Death Battle prediction blogs list?

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I think it is finally time to talk about whose not going to be on my future prediction blogs. I am aware this may get emotions running high. But this is my blog, I will be as honest & straight to the point as possible. There are factors I took into place to making sure these are more of my own rather than he's ripping other people off or lacks originality altogether.

Keep in mind, yes I am numbering these to making it easier to follow. This isn't an actual ranking of these characters I will be naming. To further clarify, this could get nasty so don't be surprise what I or angry comments might say.

1. Dragon Ball characters (overpowered characters)

I deleted Meruem vs. Cell blog because DB fans are so incredibly bias that love making up claims. One of them used Cell being able to destroy the solar system. But in reality, he was no where near that level of power. Much weaker Dragon Ball characters are still on the table. But around Krillin to higher is excluded from my prediction series.

I also deleted that blog because I started questioning my own reasons. Even prior the comments I did receive came. So from this point on, I won't be using characters from planet level to higher. This particular fan base acts like animals when their characters loses. So I don't want any of that, mostly because you the fans characters like Goku are excluded.

2. Broken classic cartoon characters unless something comes up

I was a fan of Invader Zim vs. Marvin the Martian idea. But I quickly realized it was a stomp. So from this point on, unless I could use two of them in a fight against each other. I won't do a repeat of Zim's fight here. These characters virtually can do anything with no clear limits at all. Ridiculous isn't even a word I would use to describe it.

3. Dr. Manhattan

Dr. Manhattan is the only member in Watchmen to have super powers. But OMG he is a god like being that doesn't really have much limits. I don't even think it's technically possible to kill him for long. He can wipe out a lot of soldiers with ease. He perceptive everything similar to how gods do. You can't kill him by going to prior to that accident turning him into what he is.

4. Yhwach

This guy has so many powers that it makes even what could be worthy choices questionable at best. I won't fully cover them all since in a way I did in another blog. But he has powers that not many fictional characters can counter or work around in general. Yhwach by default could cheat the victory with ease.

5. Chaos King

OMG Chaos King has an army of gods from several universes under his command. This alone greatly limits who can face him in a fight. If a friend of mine really wants to do this one fight we talked about. I am willing to help in the making of that. But for my blog series, Chaos King is a ridiculous god like being that could take down universes I'm not kidding.
