Jack Red reviews Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled

As of recently including both secret characters. There are fifty six characters overall you can play as. Yes I know a lot of them are alternate versions. This is hands down the greatest kart racing game I played since Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. If you want to get back into Crash after so many years like me, you need to play this.

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I found out sometime after getting my big PS4 purchase of the year for Christmas. I was very surprised to know Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled won Best Racing Game of the Year award. Yeah a remastered of a classic PS1 game won is kinda mind blowing. The real question is does it hold up by today's standards?

Crash Team Racing was originally a PlayStation 1 game. A short story is Naughty Dog originally signed a contract with Universal to make three Crash Bandicoot games. However despite being upset with Universal, they wanted to make one more Crash game before hitting the road. Thus, Crash Team Racing was the final Naughty Dog game in the franchise.

I actually found out, shortly after Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. A lot of Crash fans kept emailing the company Activision about if this game was getting a remastered. Clearly, I'm here to talk about that particular version. But just in case anyone asks I did own the original PS1 game more recently. My first true exposure to this game was the same friend who got me into Crash 3.

He once came over my house to play Crash Team Racing. Despite, the often Mario Kart clone label a lot of similar racing games gets. I strongly believe in it's defense, it is by no means a Mario Kart rip off. For starters, like Diddy Kong Racing, it had a story mode. Funny enough, I also grew up with that game.

Crash Team Racing allows you to play as a couple characters. The newer version added so many of them. We don't even know when they will stop honestly. It is over forty characters I am not kidding. There's plenty of modes to play to keep you busy. I actually don't have many real problems with the game.

One of the select few issues I had was over if you lose connection at any point during a race. You no longer get Wumpa Coins. Now you need these to buy stuff including a lot of characters. During the weekends, the increase for these goes up to double the amount. Personally, I do like they do that. This is honestly one of the most addicting racing games I ever played in my entire life.

There's so many tracks including a lot from Crash Nitro Kart with some bonus tracks too. Speaking of that, they also added a few Spyro things into the game. I know it's kinda mind blowing we have a racing game with both Crash & Spyro. Yet this actually wasn't the first Crash racing game to have Spyro.

They also took a note from Spyro Reignited Trilogy with the soundtracks. Yes you can switch between both versions. Exclusive to PS4 version is three characters has a retro style look, a retro cart & one of the levels done in retro style. I also liked you can use characters with stuff with increase earning of Wumpa Coins too.

I do need to say there are no longer Grand Prix events. But they are still adding content to the game. There's now two secret characters with the newer one being well a crate lol. You get so much variety in every possible way that I don't think many racing games could compete with this. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is truly mind blowing in every possible way.

This is a very high recommendation. There's plenty of everything to keep you and your friends playing for hours. You got a lot of modes with over forty tracks. This game is like a love letter to the fans. Although done differently than Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, this is bringing everything you love about Crash.

Jack Red presents The Unlucky Three (Horror Movie Edition)

Hello everyone, Happy early St. Patrick's Day to you all. I been going back and forward for a few years how exactly should I go about this. One night after my shower, I finally got the perfect way of doing just that. I always think of three particular magical horror icons that should be called The Unlucky Three.

Now this won't be me reviewing all of their movies or anything as time consuming. No I just want to talk about their usage of magic. Keep in mind, I am throwing some of my opinions in there as well. But I do want to present all three of these characters as faithfully as I could. I will start with the easiest to talk about.

1. The Warlock (Warlock 1 and 2)

The Warlock attempted to ending all of creation simply by saying God's true name. Oh okay really whatever moving on. He later got revived through an unusual birth in Warlock 2. He then attempted to ending the world by causing the apocalypse to happen. No I am not kidding, he needed the talismans.

Mostly in Warlock 2, he deals with a few magic users. The Warlock has shown to be one of the strongest magic users. It took two champions working together to taking him down. Some of his kills actually involved magic like trying a man into stealing his job to transform him into an abomination. This guy is ruthless, cold & manipulate.

2. The Leprechaun (All except Leprechaun: Origins)

Yes I am well aware most Leprechaun movies are essentially their own stories. In most of them Warwick Davis portrays The Leprechaun killing anyone who tries stealing his gold. He actually has more kills that used magic than The Warlock. Also, his weaknesses do variety depending on the story as well as what he can do.

This creature is meaner than Freddy. He turned a woman into a human balloon before. The Leprechaun is truly a wicked magical creature that enjoys causing people pain. Not even outer space could fully kill him. His usage of magic is heavily depended on the amount of gold he has simply because he stole his soul for it.

3. The Djinn aka Wishmaster (Wishmaster series)

OMG, hands down the scariest potential out of these three magical beings. The Djinn is an evil genie that twists any wish to end up killing them. This guy could cause some ridiculous things to happen with ease because of it. The person who frees him will get three wishes. But among granting the final wish will cause the apocalypse to happen.

Now you wanna see some truly mess up ways to kill people that isn't Final Destination series. Then here you go because a few of these forever left a mental scar on my brain. Like the guy who wished to never be born was such a disturbing death. The Djinn also great at manipulating people in getting what they want.

Let's be honest, the world is never save with any of these three roaming around. You can guarantee there will be bodies possibly amount to fill up a river or two. All three of them should give you a reason to be afraid of magic. Not only that, in their own right can get pretty ridiculous. I highly recommend not talking or even saying a word with a djinn around or you'll be sorry.

Now I don't be including Case 0, Case West or Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.

Dead Rising 1

Least Favorite: Kent

Dead Rising 2

Least Favorite: Carl

Dead Rising 3

Top 5 Reasons Why Mavericks are more awesome than the Robot Masters?

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, not here to add salt to anything. I just quickly liked The Mavericks from Mega Man X series more than the Robot Masters from classic Mega Man series. I was able to put a lot of reasons into just five of them to justify why I strongly felt that way. Now I am aware some Mega Man fans are more into the Robot Masters, you will get no complaint from me.

5. More direct story centering around them

In classic Mega Man series, there are a few cut scenes involving the Robot Masters. Yet it doesn't add anything to those characters at all. I strongly felt The Mavericks in most Mega Man X series has more actual story. Some of the later X games gives you a lot of information about them. It is also interesting some Mavericks can have different motives behind their actions.

Some of them were simply built to take on humanity while others eventually chose to go that path or political reasons or being infected by a virus. For the Robot Masters, either they are built or stolen then altered by Dr. Wily. At one point, he was black mailing an Russian scientist into helping him. I also liked The Mavericks do act more like leaders representing particular sections.

Here's how I think about it sorry in advance. The Robot Masters are the front line, usually solid but in a few ways ends up being more flawed than it appeared to be. But The Mavericks doesn't have that design flaw of being weak to each other. Believe it or not, that's more of a game play mechanic than anything else.

The Mavericks are like generals of their own smaller armies that joins together as a massive army. Therefore, ends up being a more direct threat to humanity as well as other robots. Their overall strategies alone is a vastly different game from anything Dr. Wily has done. In fact, you could even say they attempted going the more extreme route about their goals.

4. Their actual appearance being more unique

The Robot Masters looks more humanoid while The Mavericks are more like humanoid creatures. They do cover a lot of different animals across eight games. Yes, I know some of them are insect & plant based respectfully. I kinda felt from the start, they had an appearance that's more rememberable to me.

The Mavericks just makes more sense as well. You get a variety from these characters you really won't expect. Some being more surprising than others while some of them you never thought was going to be awesome. I know I thought differently about some of them before I fought them. Like Overdrive Ostrich quickly grew on me.

3. Their names

The Robot Masters for the most part are called something Man. Yes I do know about Splash Woman. There are a lot of them not even called something Man at all. But most people think about the main Robot Masters. So for me that's a problem I simply can not ignore. Also a lot of these names are just plain silly or stupid.

Well oh okay, I do confess some of them are awesome like Metal Man & Skull Man. I strongly felt The Mavericks overall had better names. I would even go as far to say it perfectly describes them for the most part. Yes, I do plan on listing some of my favorite Maverick names just for fun. Even their abilities you take from them sounds slightly more awesome in comparison too.

1. Chill Penguin
2. Armored Armadillo
3. Wheel Gator
4. Magna Centipede
5. Toxic Seahorse
6. Gravity Beetle
7. Cyber Peacock
8. Frost Walrus
9. Shining Firefly
10. Burn Dinorex
11. Metal Shark Player
12. Blizzard Wolfang
13. Splash Warfly
14. Ride Boarski
15. Bamboo Pandamonium
16. Gravity Antonion

To clarify, Yes I am aware some Maverick's names were altered since they were references to the members of the band Guns n Roses. A few years go, Axel Rose sued over Guitar Hero 3. So I think because they done that without their permission possibly learning about that lawsuit. They didn't want to get taken to court over it that led to changing their names as a result.

2. Their stages stands out more

Yes I know parts of what I am going to say are more of a game design than the actual locations. To me, these stages are notably bigger in comparison. There is collectibles in every Mega Man X game. Which gives you more reason to explore. Also most of these stages for the most part perfectly fits with it's Maverick boss.

Mega Man X6 does have optional boss fights that can be fought in any of the stages. Now I know parts of this concept was also a few classic Mega Man games as well. I just kinda works better here in my opinion. Not only that, their names stands out more too. You can more likely tell which Mavericks you're going to face than doing the same with an Robot Master.

Unless, you played these games enough times to know exactly what is going to happen. Both these Mega Man series are replayable in their own right. Sometimes, stuff relating to some of the Mavericks is represented in some way. Yes, X8 had a few stages that greatly changed the game play with one of those being a chase theme stage.

1. Sigma

I mean come on who is surprise here. Dr. Wily is a character I really don't respect. I got a lot more respect for Dr. Robotnik & to some degree Dr. Cortex in comparison. But damn Sigma quickly grew on me. This guy is all about world domination even if it kills the planet. Yes, he was crazy enough to go that route before.

Sigma is a computer virus that simply will not give up. As stated before, he has some of the most challenging boss fights ever. He is the main antagonist of seven of the games. It turns out Lumine was the true antagonist of X8 long story. Sigma already knows he is X's greatest enemy. He doesn't even hide he does have some respect for his efforts.

He essentially something worse than all the Mavericks combined. He has taken giant bodies before like in some of these games. Not only that, his strategies are simply more interesting to discuss too. Like he hid a spy within the Mavericks Hunters on purpose to figure out what they were up to. I also respect he didn't create a copy of X to face himself unlike a certain scientist.

Sorry it is difficult to respect an old man that's perfectly fine with stealing other scientists' robots. Sigma is more like an A.I. that's willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants. Dr. Wily was already an old man when jealously led to his attempts at taking over the world. Sigma strongly believed every action he taken was for the better of their people.

Sigma is like M. Bison in a few major things. This guy is very driven with a very high potential. X technically has limitless potential as a part of his design from Dr. Light. So in a way, they would be polar opposites that could be fighting forever if necessary. Sigma is someone I deeply respect. He acts more like a leader that's got a few armies on his side rather than just one huge army in comparison.

Jack Red reviews Team Sonic Racing

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, today I get to talk about a spiritual successor to Sega Superstars' racing games. Usually I call them the good Sega Mario Kart clone games. Actually I consider both of them being better than Mario Kart now including Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. How does Team Sonic Racing stack up to those?

Team Sonic Racing was created to just focus on Sonic franchise. This is largely due to most of their team being new members. Some of the guys responsible for the other Sonic racing games are still working at Sumo Digital. I got to be honest, it does look & sound great. I do like how they went about the controls.

The visuals are great in their own right. I still say Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled looks better. It is very similar to those crossover Sega racing games. Maybe just a little too much though. I think this might be one of it's biggest problems. It barely does anything different from Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

They kept it mostly in cars this time making this a step down from that. I will say it is notably better than most Sonic racing games if that means anything. Also, how they went about telling it's story kinda lackluster. I actually felt with Sonic Forces having the same problem did slightly better with this.

Also, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing was more creative in it's variety single player mode. Probably due to all of them being stand alone stories. Yes I know, it also represents several Sega franchises. I still felt with the reputation Sonic has still could've worked with this on it's own. It is a shame it really doesn't.

I do like they added the Wisps into the game. How they went about that I felt was one of the best things about the game. Let's more honest, Team Sonic Racing doesn't even compare well to Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing to me. I actually felt they did a better job displaying what made Sonic so great in comparison.

The roster of characters is fine but if they had to where they could've add more. I probably thought it had more potential like Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. Last I checked that has over forty characters in comparison to this. Now I think about it, both crossover Sega racing games had more playable characters.

Yes I am aware some characters being exclusive to other versions. My point is simply having a little more characters could've greatly affected this game in a big way. This comes off like Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite sadly. Team Sonic Racing brought back the team aspect from Sonic Heroes to probably making the game a bit easier.

I should mention, the AI on easier difficulties for me are a little too high. I never had that problem with both Sega crossover racing games. Even Sega Superstars Tennis had a better difficulty curve than this. It does reuse some of the objectives from those games with a few new ones. I have to say so far my favorite has to be destroying robots.

Stuff like going through rings is very strict, actually more so than the time theme challenges in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. I am a bit disappointed this wasn't as good I thought it was going to be. Maybe because the bar was a little too high with Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. It likely could've been most of the newer members didn't have the skills necessary to fully pull this game off.

Regardless, this game is simply alright at best. It isn't anything special, I actually went into Sonic Forces thinking I wasn't going to enjoy it. To my own surprise, it was a great Sonic game. I will say the best part of this game has to be the music, Crush 40 is back. They have performed some of the absolute greatest Sonic songs in history.

Team Sonic Racing could've had a better story to fit the racing theme. If not then give me a lot of stand alone stories instead. This alone would've allowed some truly exciting concepts. Like being forced to race against your own team or you have to race with Dr. Robotnik in a surprisingly difficult track.

I do also like the intro they made for this game. It is a real shame they really let me down here. I really wanted to love this game. I have more reasons to just not care about it at all. If anyone buys The Ultimate Sonic Bundle I did. Which by the way by pure coincidence started on my birthday, you might need to reconsider.

I am safely say you will have some fun in Sonic Forces, easily Sonic Mania even without Encore dlc is the best Sonic game included. Sadly the worst Sonic game in this huge bundle has to be Team Sonic Racing. I get why they made it to help people getting caught up on newer Sonic games. Especially during the holidays.

I don't fully regret buying this bundle. It just makes me feel a bit better I didn't end up going with it's other bundle. Yes Team Sonic Racing is currently in two bundles. The other one has Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD that has Sonic as a playable character. This bundle is a little cheaper as well. Honestly, I can't personally recommend Team Sonic Racing to anyone especially fellow Sonic fans.

Customizing vehicles comes off being somewhat limited. I felt I had way more options in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. The best parts are legendary ones, good luck cashing in chips for mod pods. It is like a random slot machines. Sure they did something like this before. But this felt kinda repetitive & more of wasting your in game money.

Team Adventure mode is the story mode for this game. Eggman gets an exclusive vehicle for the final race. Honestly, it came off being like a tank that didn't do much. I already had enough trouble with Metal Sonic & Zavok. This game felt limited in most categories. I will say it again the soundtrack is the best aspect of the entire experience.

I could say more positive things about Sonic Forces or a few okay Sonic games. There are better racing games of this style out there. This felt limited because they wanted to focus on Sonic universe only. Let's be honest, they didn't use Zavok prior to this. He is slightly used better than Sonic Forces despite he wasn't actually in that game.

Team Sonic Racing isn't even close to being enjoyable as Sonic Heroes. Keep in mind, I never got to play Sonic Heroes on GameCube. I had it on PS2 that wasn't a great port that had a few major issues. I felt that held up better than this truthfully. Even the little bits of Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex was better.

It quickly became clear to me that out of all 2019 games I played some of or playthrough. This had to be the single worst among them. Also the crossover games allowed other vehicles. This is strictly modified cars that sorta represent each character. It is a real shame, this game to me personally was a major letdown.

Ranking Classic Mega Man series

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I figured to rank ten of eleven Mega Man games. At a later date, I should be doing a follow up on where I rank Mega Man 11. But for right now, most of them are ready to be stacked. Keep in mind, this is my opinion alone. You may or may not agree with me, it is perfectly fine as long you don't act like a baby over it.

To save you time which also goes for my Mega Man X ranking blog. I won't be posting the covers to these games again. I believe I done that enough times already.

10. Mega Man 8
9. Mega Man 7
8. Mega Man 10
7. Mega Man
6. Mega Man 6
5. Mega Man 3
4. Mega Man 5
3. Mega Man 4
2. Mega Man 9
1. Mega Man 2

Mega Man 8 is amazingly bad in nearly every category. Mega Man 2 is so surprisingly good that it's mind blowing. I felt this should be as close to accurate for an ranking system I could possibly go. Honestly, Mega Man 2 is now considered to be legendary especially on NES.

One more thing, if I could rank Wily Tower from Mega Man: The Wily Wars on Sega Genesis. It would likely go between 1 and 6. This short game brings a lot of stuff from the first three Mega Man games.

Ranking Mega Man X series

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, now it's time to rank all eight Mega Man X games. To me, this will be an easier process than ranking most of the classic Mega Man games. I don't think my list would surprise a lot of people though. Once again, this is strictly my opinion only. I am simply doing this for fun as well as a challenge of some sort.

8. Mega Man X7
7. Mega Man X6
6. Mega Man X8
5. Mega Man X5
4. Mega Man X
3. Mega Man X3
2. Mega Man X2
1. Mega Man X4

Mega Man X7 is simply a game that went in with a lot of bad ideas. Mega Man X4 to me was a truly amazing game in what it brings to the table. Easily, one of the absolute best Mega Man games I ever played.

Jack Red reviews Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle

Hello everyone, I was very surprised I didn't review Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle yet. I think a lot of stuff came up thus I ended up forgetting about it. But I really felt bad because I really enjoy playing beat em up games more than some game genres out there truthfully. I think it's about time I put this to review so here's my review of Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle by yours truly.

There are seven classic Capcom beat em up games included. All seven of them are emulated beautifully here. You do get additional options to better suit the overall experience. Like changing the difficulty to being easier or harder as well as the amount of lives or even limiting your continues. Personally, I'm a huge fan of playing beat em up games with infinite continues.

You can play coop both offline as well as online. Well for one particular achievement/trophy you need to be online gold on Xbox or PlayStation Plus to get. Thankfully, the actual process of getting it is much easier than you would think. Most of them is simply beat the games continues are fine. Just imagine if they did it with a particular set of continues.

Honestly games like Final Fight for me wouldn't be doable on my own. There's also a gallery for pictures including those exclusively for this compilation. You also can play the Japanese versions if you choose to. I kinda felt a few aspects done a bit differently would've made this stand out more. I apologize in advance for even saying this here.

Compilations like most Mega Man Legacy Collection games & The Disney Afternoon Collection. To me, those seem to add more to the overall experience. Like most of those has challenges including boss fights. Also, their overall achievement/trophy section is much tougher to do. Well, oh okay there's some truth to that relating to The Disney Afternoon Collection.

The final six achievements I got left for that is essentially a strict two hour time limit version. You won't be allowed to use save states/load states or the rewind feature. In that regard, I felt those are more of a worthy challenge in comparison. I will say most of these games are replayable. Obviously some more so than others like Battle Circuit.

This screams what Capcom is all about folks. You get a complete package that delivers most of their arcade beat em up experience. I do wish stuff like both Dungeons & Dragons games or Magic Sword were included. Thankfully, you can still get those as far I'm aware on Xbox One. Yes you can save & load up your saves.

Obviously, parts to these games can be very easy to die a lot in. Especially during some of the later boss fights. Honestly, I am just happy to have a game compilation like this. Sure stuff like Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage & Golden Axe are technically better in their own way. But you are still getting an experience that you sadly won't get much of anymore.

There used to be a time where beat em ups were all over the place. Now not many franchises are holding up by today's standards. Technically speaking, Devil May Cry series would be the leading beat em up franchise that's still going now. Obviously, they couldn't get the rights to their Dungeons & Dragons games or Alien vs. Predator arcade game.

I will be more honest, Konami surprised the world a few times late in Xbox 360 & PS3 runs. They allowed both X-Men & The Simpsons arcade games to be ported. I kinda felt those had the better end of the stick in the additional content areas. Like both of those had major differences from the US versions to the Japanese versions.

Sure X-Men Arcade had even easier achievements than well this. But I kinda felt a few changes would've helped this compilation stand out more. I felt most of the line up is very solid for the most part. Just removing one of them for one or two particular games would've made this more mind blowing.

I am not saying I'm not grateful to own this because I am. It is just sad even Capcom didn't go the distance needed to bring back the genre like they could've done here. Truthfully, it isn't too bad to play with others during online sections. You might have some technical difficulties though. Overall, this is a solid game compilation that does fall flat in a few ways yet still delivers many hours of fun.

Ranking all games included in Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I just realized I didn't talk about Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle in a while. I figured to do two related blog entries on one game compilation for entertainment purposes. I am a huge Capcom fan as well as an beat em up fan from child hood. Of course, I wanted to do this for a long time now.

To clarify, I have officially gotten every achievement in this compilation. Yes, I do love arcade games that have infinite continues. Also, sometimes a great beat em up game is better than a couple good fighting games to me. Honestly, this ranking on every beat em up game present here is strictly my opinion only.

7. Final Fight

Honestly, despite being a Streets of Rage fan. I never was crazy about Final Fight. I do see why a lot of people like this. To me, it is a little too repetitive. Not only that, it doesn't do much different from many beat em up games around that time & a little after. Final Fight is a game best enjoyed with another player.

6. Warriors of Fate

Warriors of Fate is actually a follow up to another Capcom arcade game that wasn't included. Anyway, you get a couple characters to choose from. But very few of them are worth checking out. Simply riding around on horses breaks some of the challenge of this game. I do enjoy the actual art style of this game.

5. Armored Warriors

Armored Warriors is an unusual beat em up experience. Well oh okay not like Cyborg Justice on Sega Genesis that's sorta similar. I could actually argue this is a great experience. You play as pilots in huge mechs taking on regular soldiers as well as mechs. The best aspect of this game is allowing custom parts into your mechs was such a great idea.

4. The King of Dragons

The King of Dragons is similar to a handful of their arcade beat em up games that wasn't included. Trust me, both Dungeons & Dragons games is way better than some of these games I'm not kidding. Honestly, there still some depth to it that the previous games simply did not have in comparison. I also loved some of the bosses' animations especially some of the later ones.

3. Knights of the Round
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/2/2e/Knights_of_the_Round.png/220px-Knights_of_the_Round.png

Knights of the Round has a lot of depth to the overall experience. You have more notable differences to whoever you play as during leveling up. You can level up finishing levels or during some of them. Some of the best boss fights are present here. I do have to say it does have one of the absolute best soundtracks included.

2. Captain Commando

Captain Commando was never a game to take seriously lol. All playable characters are named something Commando. You know how Capcom loved doing something Man for Robot Masters lol. Anyway, this game is filled with surprises you won't see coming during the first playthrough. I also liked how differently each playable character plays from each other.

1. Battle Circuit

It is no question in my mind, my absolute favorite among all games included had to be Battle Circuit. OMG, what the hell am I playing lol. No literately it's very difficult to accurately describe a game like this unless you play it yourself. Everything about this game stands out in a way you really won't forget trust me I know what I'm talking about lol.

Who are my favorite & least favorite Robot Masters? (Classic Mega Man series)

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I figured since I been a Mega Man fan for a few years. Also because I wanted to give more of an idea how I personally view the franchise. Why not point out my favorite Robot Masters as well as my least favorites in most classic Mega Man games. I still haven't got to play Mega Man 11.

I promise when I do, I will consider a quick follow up blog to placing my favorite & least favorite Robot Masters from that game. Yes, Mega Man X's Mavericks will also be getting the same treatment. I love testing myself especially when it's been awhile since I done so. Now clearly there's way too many Robot Masters to fully cover them all in one long blog entry.

Considering there are several related stuff to Classic Mega Man series. I am only pulling the Robot Masters from the games they debut in. Also the additional bosses that technically counts as them won't be considered here for fairness reasons. Otherwise, it just wouldn't be a challenge to me making this.

To save some time, I will only explain the questionable picks. Like I said before, you can see the ones I do and don't like without me saying anything. But there are a few select Robot Masters I do need to explain. Now once again, all of this is strictly my opinion alone. I am only speaking my truth period don't take any of this personally.

Mega Man 1

Favorite: Guts Man

Least Favorite: Elec Man

Elec Man does a lot of damage with tricky to avoid attacks. I get why they used a even shorter variation of the word electricity. Clearly, his stage was very electric lol. But it still doesn't change the fact, he still came off as a cheap boss fight. I will say he still had a great weapon. I just felt out of the original six or in Powered Up version's case eight Robot Masters, he just wasn't that great.

Mega Man 2

Favorite: Metal Man

For most Mega Man fans, it's absolutely no surprise Metal Man is my favorite here. He has the best of everything in every category. Even with his very weapon being his greatest weakness. Honestly, his ability ends up being one of the very best this franchise has to offer. I swear this guy is so well designed that I don't think many Robot Masters could rival him.

Least Favorite: Quick Man

Mega Man 3

Favorite: Magnet Man

Least Favorite: Gemini Man

Mega Man 4

Favorite: Skull Man

I know some of you were probably expecting Pharaoh Man to be here. I will be honest, those very close to me knows I do have a thing for skulls. Skull Man may be similar to a few previous Robot Masters. Yet he comes off being the scariest using his powers. His very appearance alone earned a spot among on my favorites.

Least Favorite: Toad Man

Mega Man 5

Favorite: Napalm Man

Least Favorite: Charge Man

Charge Man is well a humanoid train character. Don't we already have Thomas the Tank Engine? Also this is strict period to jump out of the way or you'll take a lot of damage. He doesn't have much variety in his attacks either. Well I won't be choosing him for a future Mega Man title. Obviously, the very concept was silly to begin with.

Mega Man 6

Favorite: Blizzard Man

I will be honest, I wasn't sure at first which Robot Masters was my favorite. Then I kept going back to Blizzard Man. I know parts of his appearance comes off being somewhat silly I get it. To me, more aspects with him works better than most Robot Masters in Mega Man 6. Now you can argue that if you wish but I do enjoy facing Blizzard Man.

Least Favorite: Centaur Man

Mega Man 7

Favorite: Slash Man

Least Favorite: Spring Man

I had a difficult time deciding which Robot Master was my least favorite. I quickly realized how much I don't like Spring Man. Just look at him already how did this pass the final concepts of a video game? He makes other worse looking Robot Masters like Ring Man look like master pieces. No that wasn't a good thing either because even his stage does not work.

Mega Man 8

Favorite: Frost Man

Least Favorite: Astro Man

Astro Man has some great reasons why he quickly became my least favorite. He wasn't too different from a few Robot Masters. His actual stage from Mega Man 8 even with a guide could be one frustrating experience. Honestly, nothing works at all with this guy. Astro Man simply needed a lot more done before the final game.

Mega Man 9

Favorite: Galaxy Man

Least Favorite: Hornet Man

Nothing personal about Hornet Man, I simply do not like bees period. Surprisingly, I did like Blast Hornet from Mega Man X3. Parts of his actual appearance comes more off like a honey comb not like the cereal. Treat me his boss fight isn't favorable either. His ability is somewhat helpful but more likely to be wasted.

Mega Man 10

Favorite: Blade Man

Here's an interesting way of viewing Blade Man. He is what Sword Man from Mega Man 8 should've been. His moves are more of what I expected Sword Man to do but ultimately doesn't. Also, Blade Man better at using swords in comparison. His very appearance alone was enough to have him among my favorites.

Least Favorite: Sheep Man

Who are my favorite & least favorite Mavericks? (Mega Man X series)

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, Now it's The Mavericks' turn. Keep in mind, some of these were very straight forward while a handful really came down to particular things. Keep in mind, this is strictly my opinion only. You are likely not going to like my choices but if you end up loving it then good for you we're all winners here.

Now because there's a lot of Mavericks here. I will only explain my questionable choices. I figured I could do that to help explain how I view things. Also, not a lot of these would be on either fan's lists usually. So why not, I wanted to make my choices as crystal clear as humanly or in this particular case robotic accurate as possible.

Mega Man X

Favorite: Boomer Kuwanger

Least Favorite: Launch Octopus

Mega Man X2

Favorite: Wheel Gator

Least Favorite: Crystal Snail

Crystal Snail can be a little frustrating due to some of his moves. Also, you could damage him more depending on a few things. Otherwise, this boss fight likely takes longer than most of the Maverick boss fights. Keep in mind, you do have to face all eight of them twice. It is even worse going in without his weakness.

Mega Man X3

Favorite: Toxic Seahorse

Toxic Seahorse was one of the biggest surprises to me. They took an seahorse then made it strangely awesome here. His actual stage is rather unusual yet unique at the same time. His very appearance really stands out among all the Mavericks. Not only that, this guy is a lot of fun to take on. He is very true to his name of being toxic.

Least Favorite:  Tunnel Rhino

Mega Man X4

Favorite: Frost Walrus

I absolutely love Frost Walrus, sure he is huge. But he actually works way better you would expect. I strongly felt just his presence alone earned him a spot among my favorites. Not only that, I loved his stage as a whole. They took an Walrus & made it awesome like this. Frost Walrus is the best among the huge sized Maverick bosses in my opinion.

Least Favorite: Split Mushroom

The voice itself wasn't a good pick for this guy. Parts of his boss fight is clearly a play on having an acid trip. They must've been on mushrooms when they created him lol. Also, he quickly becomes too predictable during his boss fight. He doesn't have any notable moves that doesn't come off even the slightly annoyance.

Mega Man X5

Favorite: Burn Dinorex

Least Favorite: Crescent Grizzly

Mega Man X6

Favorite: Metal Shark Player

Least Favorite: Rainy Turtloid

OMG, this guy is simply too large. They added you needed to destroy two spots on his shell. Before you actually can damage him. He also has difficult to avoid moves as well. If that wasn't annoying enough, you can trigger acid rain in his stage that quickly eats away at your health thanks guy. Honestly, with the right gear he will go down quickly.

Mega Man X7

Favorite: Splash Warfly

Least Favorite: Flame Hyenard

Look I know by now the internet really knows how annoying this particular boss fight truly is. No one abuses lines as close as much. The actual boss fight is one huge poorly designed mess. The real boss is on the giant walking robot while his copies are constantly trying to play tag with you. Let's be honest, it makes boss fights like Gemini Man seem way better than it actually is I'm not kidding.

Mega Man X8

Favorite: Gravity Antonion

Least Favorite: Optic Sunflower

Come on really a robot based on an Sunflower lol. The voice acting for this guy is already laughable. Sadly, his stage is more like a series of mini games than a proper, bigger stage. The best part actually involves a cheat code to adding an extra boss fight just before his boss fight. You get to face Cut Man from Mega Man 1, if that's the best he has to offer I'm not buying sunflowers anymore lol.
