Death Battle Fight Prediction: The Mask (Dark Horse Comics) vs. Deadpool (Marvel)

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I am very surprised Death Battle is going to put Deadpool in another episode. This time, it is very surprising they are putting him against The Mask. I really didn't plan on doing another prediction blog with The Mask in particular. WOW, this is going to be a very wild fight regardless how it plays out.

Stanley Ipkiss aka The Mask

Stanley Ipkiss was a lawyer down on his luck. Until a mysterious mask came into his life. Among putting it on allowed his true self to come out. This mask was later confirmed to be created by the god of mischief, Loki. At times, Stanley takes on criminals in his city. This character has little to no real limits in what he can't do.

Wade Winston Wilson aka Deadpool

I made sure to prevent an unwelcome guest taking over my blog. How does that feel Wade? Deadpool is one of the best assassins in the world. He eventually becomes a member of a super hero team called X-Men. Deadpool is widely a joke character that anyone allows him to break many rules just for a quick laugh.

Powers and Abilities

The Mask

I said it once and I'll say it again. The Mask can virtually do whatever he or she wants. There is a few reality rules they must work around. Otherwise, everything else is possible. Also just imagine how long an actual list could be, it could easily make this blog too repetitive.

Deadpool

+Breaking the 4th wall
+Superhuman speed
+Superhuman reflexes
+Superhuman stamina
+Superhuman endurance
+Excellent marksman
+Magic Shrapnel (it allows him to pull out anything he wants)
+Broken regeneration

For those wondering, Deadpool no longer has the death ban on him.

Advantages

The Mask

+Way more powers
+Even more broken regeneration
+Superior stats
+Greater overall knowledge
+Can alter reality quicker than Deadpool grabbing from his Magic Shrapnel
+Due to his powers, Deadpool's carbonium sword can't negate his regeneration
+More unpredictable (yes Wade someone more unpredictable than you)
+Could still fight without much of his body
+His powers makes almost everything that could be use on him useless
+Only the user can remove the mask

Deadpool

+More likely to stay focus
+Has combat training under his belt
+Could convince The Mask to taking over his mask
+More overall combat experience
+Without his mental barrier, he is actually a cunning strategist

Disadvantages

The Mask

-Loses his powers once the mask comes off
-It is possible to killing him by beheading
-Could be convince to removing his mask or giving up altogether
-Some reality rules, he must work around since he can't actually break em
-Doesn't have combat training
-Doesn't have as much combat experience as Deadpool
-Lacks weapons by default (Not that it really matters hahahaha)
-His insanity allows him to not hold back especially on really ridiculous stuff
-Not usually comes up with plans prior to do anything
-The user could feel some of the pain from the previous nights
-Could have until dawn

Deadpool

-His insanity could work against him
-His 4th wall breaking can't get around The Mask's powers
-Must pull stuff out of his magic shrapnel that is slower than The Mask
-Far less stats in comparison
-Due to The Mask's insanity, convincing him to taking the mask off might not work
-His weapons including his carbonadium sword is useless
-Spends a lot of time being a prankster
-It is possible to prevent Deadpool from fighting back by cutting him into pieces

Weaknesses

The Mask

Unfortunately, his insanity is also his biggest weakness. He no longer hesitates in even doing the impossible stuff. This also could work against him during Deadpool. Also removing the mask takes away all of his powers. Stanley lacks combat training prior to becoming The Mask. Some reality rules can't be broken by him either.

Deadpool

Obviously his insanity does act as a double edge sword. His over confidence allows easy hits even what would've been fatal blows. It is rare to see Deadpool being serious in what he does. Also his regeneration does have a flaw. Among cutting him into pieces, he has to try pulling himself back together.

Verdict

Alright, let's get the most obvious stuff out of the way. Both of them are ridiculous anti hero characters with broken regeneration that can break the 4th wall. Despite this, Deadpool surprisingly in this particular case lacks a solid method of doing The Mask in. I'll even break his best chances at winning down since if I don't.

It quickly bags so many questions. Deadpool's carbonadium sword is an incredibly durable weapon. Yet it only works on living beings. More directly, it doesn't seem to affect those using magic. The Mask's mask was designed by a god. So the mask itself is an exception to that rule. This leaves Wade's best chance at winning this fight.

He has to either convince Stanley to surrendering or taking off his mask. Obviously, he will quickly go in for the kill the moment that mask comes off. The problem however is The Mask also suffers from insanity. Which is a side effect of using his powers. So it is questionable if Deadpool could actually convince him to do either of those options or keep on fighting.

Also Deadpool's arsenal just isn't going to do anything to The Mask. But in comparison, The Mask can create those massive firearms from the movies. Even if he doesn't, The Mask also can alter reality to a degree at a fast rate. Considering Deadpool might end up with that sword again. I do have permission to bring up an non canon encounter with DC's Lobo.

At one point, Lobo got swallowed by The Mask. What a lot of people doesn't realize is stomach acid actually one of the deadliest forms of acid there is. It easily can burn right through a person. The only reason it doesn't, your stomach has regenerative cells to prevent that from happening. So in this particular case, imagine Deadpool trapped inside of him?

It would be enough to melting him down completely especially in this case. The Mask has a lot more powers that Deadpool simply doesn't have. Let's be honest, The Mask trumps heavily in stats. He could do very ridiculous things with ease. Deadpool just isn't fast enough to stay on top of whatever he's doing.

Deadpool's best method to die is being melted down. This alone reduces many options The Mask has. But his powers also plays off of creativity of the user. So depending on which person is wearing the mask. They could have little to no imagination to being very creative like Stanley. The Mask is essentially in this case a living cartoon character playing off a lot of it's rules.

Deadpool has a history of being owned by stronger characters. There are characters that has speed blitz him before as well. The Mask has not clear stats in comparison. Stanley alone could do things that you could only imagine happening in the cartoons. Sure, I need to go into the 4th wall business. Unless last time, he & Pinkie Pig became friends.

I highly don't see that outcome happening here. Deadpool by his own standards is ridiculous but compared to The Mask. Hahahahahahahaha please ridiculous is his middle name. Deadpool's combat experience surprisingly doesn't matter that much. There is a chance, The Mask might change back by dawn or Deadpool maintains to cut off his head.

Well cutting off his head is a confirm method for sure of killing whose wearing the mask. The problem is The Mask easily can survive that. Hell both of them could still be alive just being heads. But The Mask can still fight just as his head. Deadpool also has a history of being dismembered. Sometimes he or his allies has to help him get back together.

This isn't even a problem for The Mask. Deadpool's teleporting can be questionable at best. The Mask's moving speed is simply too great to even consider using it in combat. The Mask also could gain the knowledge advantage to how to kill Deadpool. The sad truth is Deadpool could further break the 4th wall to leaving whatever he's in.

Yet The Mask potentially could do the same thing. Deadpool would need to read comic books to get Intel on characters from DC comics. But he never picked up a Dark Horse comic in his existence. Because of this, he would get quickly confuse how to go about doing that. The Mask is simply too broken of a character for even versus fights.

Deadpool is essentially in every possible way screwed beyond belief. The Mask can virtually do whatever he wants. In other words, even if Deadpool had a solid method to preventing his movements or killing him. He easily could counter right back with ease. My point is Deadpool can't work around The Mask no matter what he does in this fight.

I will even go as far to say, Saitama won in his blog prediction for being too broken. In possibly getting him to surrender or convincing him to taking his mask off. Deadpool may be a broken character but The Mask essentially invented the term. The Mask could send him flying into the sun. Deadpool isn't creative enough to survive something this broken of a character.

Let's put this in another way folks. Deadpool is so out gun here. The Mask could easily guarantee victory in rather unpleasant ways. Either by sending him to the sun, swallowing him whole to melting him with stomach or could even pull off a reality break to erasing him from existence. Now I don't know if The Mash has ever done that before or not.

If he has, then Deadpool really is beyond screwed in this particular fight. The fact, The Mask is surprisingly more unpredictable too. Usually Deadpool wins that advantage in most versus fight debates. Wade still has to do many things like a normal person does while The Mask doesn't. Deadpool just isn't going to last long against this guy.

Winner: The Mask (Dark Horse Comics)
