Death Battle Fight Prediction: Michael Myers (Halloween) vs. Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th)

This is going to be a lengthy blog mostly in the verdict section. Please take as many breaks as possible. We really don't need another Jason or Michael hunting people down.

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, a lot of you probably already know this. I am a huge horror movie fan since my child hood. I was surprised a lot of people liked my last Death Battle blog prediction. There isn't many fights I could do the same level of justice. Thankfully I do recall another huge request that a lot of people really want to see.

Halloween's Michael Myers vs. Friday the 13th's Jason Voorhees in one hell of a fight. These two are respectively the top 2 slasher villains with the highest body counts in horror movie history. It is also no secret while Friday the 13th does some things differently it still a knock off of Halloween. Both their franchises are some of the longest ever just for their original movie series.

Honestly I feel exactly the same when I wrote The Joker vs. Sweet Tooth & Carnage vs. Lucy. I am a huge fan of both characters that are more recently appearing in video games. Yes both of them had an remake movie with one of them getting it's own sequel. Keep in mind the new Halloween movie coming later this year is one of those strictly sequel to the original movie while ignoring the rest movies.

Before anyone gets the wrong idea. Yes I seen every Halloween & Friday the 13th movie to date. I am mostly considering them for this prediction. Of course I like Michael more than Jason in general. End of the day pushing my bias side away who would actually win in a fight between these two?

Michael Myers

Michael was a kid when he murdered his sister on Halloween night. He spent a long time in an hospital under the care of Dr. Loomis. Until Michael escaped one night to go back to Haddonfield. Where he stalked a teenager named Laurie Strodes. Ever since that night, people living in the area often referred to him as the boogie man.

Jason Voorhees

Jason supposedly drown at Camp Crystal Lake with none of the counselors paying him attention. This led to his mother to killing them all. Unfortunately one of them cuts her head off. Shortly afterwards Jason starts killing people starting with the person who murdered his mother. People also tell stories about him stalking teenagers to adult at the camp to this day.

Powers & Abilities
Michael Myers

+Superhuman Strength
+Superhuman Stamina
+Superhuman Durability
+Can use anything as a weapon

Michael Myers has survived things with some difficulty that could kill a normal person. Widely known for being silent to the point by the time you noticed anything you're already dead. Michael doesn't have a filter when it comes to killing people. Even his doctor stated he is essentially evil incarnate.

Jason Voorhees

+Superhuman Strength
+Superman Stamina
+Suiperman Durability
+Can use anything as a weapon
+After his body got destroyed he was able to steal bodies
+After stealing a body of a relative gains a new body
+Each kill makes him stronger

Jason Voorhees has survived some ridiculous things I have to consider for this blog. Regularly hunting on foot searching for anyone close to or by or at Camp Crystal Lake. Jason is nearly an unstoppable killing machine with a few movies to prove it. This guy will never rest unless people stops coming to Camp Crystal Lake.

Weaknesses
Michael Myers

Michael is still technically human giving the attacker plenty of options how to hurt or slow him down. Also come on Myers a butcher knife was never meant to kill people lol. Out of the two Michael gets angry much faster.

Jason Voorhees

Jason is smart enough to hunt down dumb people. But stuff does go over his head from time to time. Although he doesn't show his fear of water in the real world. Freddy was able to use that fear against him in the dream world.

Michael Myers

Advantages
+Faster
+Smarter
+Harder to predict
+Being quiet allows him to work around people without them knowing
+More experienced killer

Disadvantages
-Much weaker
-No where near as durable as Jason
-Jason being undead makes most of Michael's options to kill people useless against him
-Seriously a butcher knife I rather have a machete
-Mostly focuses on killing his own family that can leave him open to surprise attacks
-More likely to get frustrated out of the two
-Simply not a Voorhees

Jason Voorhees

Advantages
+Much stronger
+Insanely durable
+Has killed more people than Michael Myers
+His signature weapon gives him a few tactical advantages
+Being undead makes most options for Michael to kill him impossible
+Only a Voorhees can send Jason to Hell
+More likely to switch out his weaponry
+Can gain a new body by stealing a body of a relative

Disadvantages
-Not as smart
-Slower
-More predictable
-Not as experienced as a killer

Verdict

At first sight this appears to be a close fight. Among a closer look you quickly noticed how one sided this fight actually is. For example Michael has lifted a few victims off their foot prior to killing them. In some of his movies, Jason makes that look like child's play. In the dream world, Freddy dropped a huge boiler right on top of him.

Not too long after that Jason quickly fought off Freddy before pushing the boiler off himself. This is a feat that easily could've took a small group of strong men to lift that with some help from machinery. The simply fact he was on the ground looking up prior to that boiler slamming on him. It makes this strength feat more impressive.

Most people couldn't even lift something that heavy while on the ground like that. Durability is very one sided for many reasons. End of the day, Michael Myers is a human that has gone insane a long time ago. At the end of Halloween 4, a group of guys with guns fired at him causing him to fall. Which nearly killed him if it wasn't for an old man's help.

Usually Michael doesn't struggle to injuries but this was the most notable among them. In a few movies, Jason easily took a lot of gun fire like it's nothing. In Freddy vs. Jason, the level of punishment Freddy gave Jason. There is no way a normal human being could even survive the smallest possible percentage of his injuries.

It is no secret, Michael loves to stalk his victims. Regularly not talking being perfectly quiet. Very likely why his body count got that high in the first place. But a lot of kills, Jason done do get noticed by other people. In Freddy vs. Jason, he killed a couple people at a party right after each other. Jason is more willing to flat out kill people regardless what may occur next.

Both of them has survived being burnt badly several times. Sadly most possible options Michael can kill people simply can't work on Jason. You see back in Part 4, a young Tommy Jarvis with a machete killed Jason. Several years later, he ended up by pure coincide reviving his old nemesis from the grave.

In other words, Jason since Part 6 to Jason X in the time line is undead. According to Jason Goes to Hell, only a Voorhees can kill Jason with a particular dagger. Keep in mind, at the beginning of that movie the government blew up Jason's body. If Michael were to somehow destroy Jason's body. He could steal anyone's body to continue the fight.

Now if one of his relatives was near by. All he has to do is steal their body to fully gain his old body. Which means all the damage he took prior to the explosion & other bodies is gone. Almost like it never happened giving Jason a surprise advantage. We are talking about a killer that survived from space falling to the ground of Earth 2.

This by itself makes anything Michael could do entirely pointless. Granted yes this was Uber Jason that got revived by a machine becoming bulletproof. In doing so made Jason ends up getting a lot more heat without protection as well as heavier due to metal parts of his body. Basically a long fall, being burnt & lack of oxygen in that one feat.

It also means if given the chance Michael can not slow or trap Jason in place. The entire opening to Jason X is clear proof of that. Speaking of that, Jason survived frozen for four hundred forty five years. The same guy cut three people in half with a single machete slash. Not even Michael's unpredictability going to help in this fight.

Oh wait I'm not even come of being done. As stated he fought Freddy but he also faced Leatherface, Ash and the deadnites in the comics. The actual canon of the Halloween series is rather a confusing topic. Thank you so much James Rolfe for your video on the topic. Which helped allowed non canon stuff for Jason's side.

Jason held his own against all of them. I doubt Michael would fare well against them on his own. Now yes most of Jason's victims are dumber than the dumbest among the Halloween movies. Mostly both killers will flat out kill people when given the chance. I do need to state Michael has let his guard down around family members in the past.

Although that won't be a factor in the fight. Jason only did that a handful of time for different reasons. The first time, an counselor was attempting to trick Jason into getting killed. The second time was Freddy pretending to his mother right before their dream world fight. Two very different tricks involving his mother.

Jason was able to see through both their tricks on his own. Yes both of them have use a lot of different weapons to kill people. Obviously most people will focus with him having their signature weapons. A machete can be used to cut plants in the jungle or protection from animals. Regularly a butcher knife is more meant for cooking up meat for lunches & dinners.

Therefore a butcher knife simply was never intended for killing people or to be used in a fight. You would be surprised how easy it is to break one of those. In comparison, it takes a lot more force to break a machete. Also a machete is much sharper than a butcher knife. Do I even need to say Michael's butcher knife is much shorter than Jason's machete.

I am not talking about their privates guys come on. Let's be honest on paper it may sound like a good fight. Sadly it quickly becomes a stomp in favor of Jason Voorhees. A lot of people tried killing Michael including that ending of Halloween 2 with Dr. Loomis. Jason survived most explains including some at point blank range.

Originally that explosion in Halloween 2 did kill Michael before Halloween 4 rewrote it as a coma. Technically speaking he did die in the original movies. So if an explosion occurs, Jason will easily bounce back from it while Michael is likely to struggle to continue the fight. I should mention sometimes Michael does a trick while laying on the ground waiting for someone to get too close.

Right before he kills them now in Jason's case standing, having sex, walking, looking or laying on the ground. He is going to flat out kill you regardless whose in the area. This also means Jason is more likely to go straight for the kill out of the two. Clearly Jason can throw Michael's butcher knife a farther distance or break it on the spot.

Both of them prefers walking slow but in some of Jason's movies. He notably walks much faster in comparison. Yes both of them will caught up to their victim's strategies. Usually Michael is more likely to figure Jason out first. But Jason has little to no clear weaknesses Michael can take advantage of to win this fight.

The biggest reason Michael is going to die of all. He is not a Voorhees meaning if he somehow got a hold of the dagger. Michael isn't able to send Jason to Hell. This fight could be even more one sided by having Uber Jason from late portions of Jason X. A machine wasn't able to do anything to that version.

Prior to that, KM-14 wiped the floor with Jason after getting upgraded. Which involves an arm, leg and his head got blown off. So if a machine isn't able to do anything to Uber Jason than Michael is screwed. Every possible way you can look at this, Jason has absolutely no way to lose this fight. Michael can only do so much against an undead murder.

Winner: Jason Voorhees
