Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, some of my absolute favorite Death Battle episodes. Actually were more villain theme that ended up being more interesting than expected. I know this might be a little early since the new season approaching it's end. We don't know if any remaining unconfirmed match up episodes going to be villain theme or not.
I know Gru vs Megamind going to happen soon. But they were villains that ended up becoming heroes. I'm not sure if I could work with that for this blog entry. If I had chosen to wait on doing this or not. I will say this though I'm very sure it's going to be a great episode. I just felt bad for Megamind fans last year with not great stuff for Megamind franchise.
Joker vs Sweet Tooth
I actually have a personal connection on a few fronts with this match up. This was one of my most wanted child hood matches. I even gotten my original Death Battle prediction blog on ScrewAttack's front page. Back when it was ScrewAttack a long time ago. I always been a huge fan of both these evil clown characters.
My prediction came true Joker did indeed won. Sadly this might be the only time they'll do Twisted Metal on the show. At the same time, this was a rather fair match up for both characters. Right now people wants Joker to face Green Goblin!!! Yeah no thank you that's going to suck. Especially compared to this episode it's no contest.
I loved this starts as a car combat scenario. At one point, Joker gets inside his ice cream truck. The animation for the fight was amazing. Most of the episode still holds up incredibly well. Despite Season 3 being one of my least favorite seasons. This was a great one to do in 3D animation. It really lived up to my expectations.
Shredder vs Silver Samurai
I know some might be a little confusing. Not about including the solo match up with an TMNT villain character. More on the fact both of them has traits of samurais and ninjas. If you know the actual history of ninjas. They had personal dislike to how governments at that time being ran. Originally started with farmers funny enough that stood a stand against em.
Both of them has a recurring capable mutant enemy. Obviously in most TMNT franchise, Shredder is the turtles' arch enemy. Silver Samurai is one of Wolverine's greatest enemies. Considering Wolverine has hundreds of years worth of experience that's saying something. It's a rather unique take on the concept of ninja vs samurai.
Silver Samurai had superior armor with his mutant powers increases his sword's cuts. Not a lot of people knows main TMNT comic version of Shredder. Actually mastered most fighting styles like Wolverine. I'm very surprised they didn't use that in their long list of arguments. I was quite happy to see Shredder on the show.
Carnage vs Lucy
This was a rather unexpected one for it's time. Literately no one knew this was coming when it gotten announced. In fact, at the time most DB viewers didn't even know who Lucy was. Of course I did since I seen the show. I later fully read the manga series as well. This is more of an antihero taking on an villain.
Lucy is essentially a neutral character. She also suffers from multiple personalities. One of her newer personalities is such a sweet person. As the events went on, she ended up doing some good things. It doesn't change the fact she murdered a lot of people. She has some form of humanity while Carnage virtually none at all.
I am a huge fan of both these characters. I really was expected they went for Carnage!!! Easily, among the most evil of Spider-Man's enemies. Then we have this chick of a nearly extinct species. Who has many invisible, longer arms. Capable of easily ripping humans apart with ease. This sounds like a great one to do for an Halloween episode right?
Ultron vs Sigma
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite took away some of it's appeal. I really glad they didn't do Ultron vs Brainiac. Which in recent years I kept finding to be a bit boring. Especially compared to this one what a great idea!!! Two computer viruses with some strong connections. Sigma was originally meant to fight against Mavericks.
He ended becoming the worst of them through a weird fuse infection thing. He was designed to not get infected by the Maverick Virus. Ultron is usually fighting the Avengers. It's not often he fights anyone alone either. This AI was so dangerous, they even attempted to prevent his creation. Obviously they couldn't stop that from happening like Skynet lol.
Oh come on you knew that Terminator joke was coming lol. I also love they went for a war theme. At the time, we needed a better example than Eggman vs Wily. Someone had to say it oh okay!!! I simply love everything about this episode. I would even dare to say these two are virtually the same character.
Ganondorf vs Dracula
Easily among my most personal favorites. I always disliked Ganon's original episode. No I didn't want him to die because he killed Bowser either. It just came off as a rather unfair match up that's rigged. Bowser had no real way to put Ganon down for good. Despite how ridiculous he truly was with magic. Not to mention both these matches could be recreated in Super Smash Brothers series now.
Now putting Ganon against Dracula was pure genius!!! Not only this made more sense than his last episode. You also could argue they virtually are the same character as well. Even bringing in their original game's release dates. Ganon came first by couple months in 1986. Although the United States gotten the original Castlevania first by a few months the following year.
Two dark lords with rather impressive feats. Who wouldn't wanna see these two go at it? Even death is a small thing they always come back. Both widely known for impressive magic usage. A lot of big named villains under their command. A truly sick 3D animation fight. This is one of my absolute favorite Halloween Death Battle episodes to date.
Venom vs Crona
This would be a spiritual successor to Carnage vs Lucy. Which does get referenced in the actual episode. I simply love the concept of this match up. It's essentially two on two with both duos having a rather unique connection. Both had a parasitic partner that's more ready to fight. At times must deal with their human hosts in many situations.
The fight animation was amazing stuff. It's a match up as soon as I seen. I already knew which duo going to win. This was a great one for Halloween as well. What surprised me was their actual connections thank you Death Battle wiki. I was happy Soul Eater finally gotten onto the show. More recently with Maka vs Ruby another great episode as well.
I also love how unexpected of a match up this was for it's time. Crona's gender I don't think ever gotten revealed. It didn't affect things much though. These two duos were vastly different in many ways. I actually wish the fight was a little bit longer. I'm quite happy with what we were given as well. It was a great introduction for Soul Eater on the show.
Lex Luthor vs Doctor Doom
I know hard to believe any Marvel vs DC match up made the lineup here. Let's be honest these two has a rather impressive list of feats. I'm a bigger fan of Doctor Doom myself. This was a little closer than what I was expecting honestly. The fight song I absolutely love it!!! This was both characters' second episode on the show.
I actually felt for Doctor Doom it truly was his best to date. I kept going between both of Luthor's episodes honestly. I seriously love both those episodes a lot as well. I knew Doctor Doom had some critical advantages. If anyone had a great chance lasting a long time it's Luthor. To be fair, on both his episodes they kept mentioning kryptonite weaponry isn't the best.
I would be more terrified of the man who easily steal deity's powers with a device. I simply love everything about this episode. Both of them are heavily massive pain in the buttocks for everyone. I was really happy with the actual episode. I couldn't even change a single thing either. Honestly, it's a great episode representing villains on the show.
Goku Black vs Reverse-Flash
Hell yeah I really love this episode!!! Two broken time theme evil doppelganger villains going at it. Goku and The Flash with some notable changes. Reverse-Flash actually has more crazier abilities from his good counterpart. Goku Black also differs in a few ways from how Goku fights as well. Considering this was added in towards an end of a season it's great!!!
Both couldn't stay dead regarding different time related factors. Let's put it this way if neither had a solid way to put the other down. This actually would've been a fight with no end. I love time travel gotten used in the actual fight. They even tie it in with another Flash episode. I got a lot of respect for Reverse-Flash from The Flash show on The CW.
I personally do not like Goku Black at all!!! In fact, when he's about to die the first time. I really lit up with such joy god I must be a horrible person lol. I also love how they differ from their hero counterparts. At the same time, this ended up being more unique and exciting. This episode does a great job with it's creativity.
DIO vs Alucard
Another personal favorite among their Halloween episodes. Two unusual manga/anime villains going at it. Alucard had a few million souls with a rather long list of abilities. DIO has two Stands with The World capable of stopping time. Vampires is one of several types among demons for those didn't know. However in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, vampires aren't demons there.
Two vastly different vampire characters. Alucard started as a villain that ended up becoming an antihero. DIO was the main antagonist of two Parts in the original JoJo universe. Parts 1 and 3 for anyone curious there you go. I really love every aspect of the entire episode. The fight song is among my favorites for an Halloween episode.
It's crazy we get a vastly different portrayal of Dracula from the Castlevania version. This was a weird yet unique vampire episode. You may never see anything like it ever again!!! I'm actually a huge fan of both these characters being more of an Alucard fan truthfully. I'm glad another vampire won on the show.
Black Adam vs Apocalypse
This was a rather huge deal for me. Back when an friend's private chat on Facebook had four people. Majority of the group sided with Black Adam. I was the odd one out choosing Apocalypse. Then Apocalypse won on their show surprised all three of them. I also previously done a few fight predictions on this match up.
I do agree this had to get done on the show. Back when there's a few possibilities left for Marvel vs DC episodes. I'm a huge fan of both these characters being more of an Apocalypse fan. I'm more of an X-Men fan in that regard it shouldn't that much of a surprise. I absolutely loved almost everything about the episode.
I personally wish they would've changed some of Apocalypse's voice overs. It was a bit trickery to understand some of the stuff he's saying. I know both has an Egyptian background. I actually meant how his voice over said some lines was a bit difficult to make out among hearing it. Other than that, the fight song is among my favorites as well.
Sauron vs Lich King
I actually predicted in a old video. Sauron was going to face Lich King from Warcraft. My other main guess was Voldemort from Harry Potter. Personally hell yeah they went with the more bad match up!!! These two are strikingly similar even with major differences. A lot of DB viewers didn't properly understand The Lord of the Rings franchise especially Sauron.
I knew Sauron was going to easily win this fight. Some could view it a bit rigged due to how Sauron gotten defeated in the canon of the stories. I like both represent the opposite environments. Sauron has this sick darker, lava possibly hellish theme. Lich King was more of the colder, ice environments. This by itself gotten me very interested.
The 3D animation alone was among my favorites to date. Sauron's 3D model was truly amazing!!! It's no secret I really love this episode with a huge passion. I do like medieval stuff to a degree see what I did there? LOL on a more serious note they nailed it perfectly. I would love more of either franchise on the show in the near future.
Frieza vs Megatron
I gotta give this one credit right out the gate. For a match up I didn't want, it quickly gotten me sold. Among first seeing the full fight animation. Some question some aspects of their research. Who truly is more powerful no longer matters because Frieza found a faster training method. Even if Megatron had the stats, Frieza wasn't far behind.
I simply love we put an powerful alien against an powerful giant robot on the show. This shouldn't work at all honestly. Somehow it works incredibly well!!! I really enjoyed the entire episode as a whole. I never considered this match up prior to it's announcement. Possibly due to not even knowing it was a thing either.
Thanks to Death Battle wiki pointing out their connections. These two were more similar than I even realized!!! I will confess I was rooting for Frieza there I said it. I don't think any version of Megatron boring either. I just knew their otaku bias was going to show up again. For such a weird mess up, it earned my respect.
Galactus vs Unicron
Now here's a rather epic match up I wanted for a long time. In fact, most of the viewers on this show as well. Two of the biggest characters they ever done!!! Both being multiversal beings with some strong similarities. Just imaging a lot of planets getting blown up gotten me excited for this. Even not having Torrian animating this 3D fight.
OMG it was truly mind blowing stuff!!! It was simply unbelievable how damn great the animation turned out to be. I absolutely loved everything about this episode. This was one of those original big requests they had for a long time to do. I had several versions of predicting this match up. My finalized prediction actually in a post I made for my YouTube account.
I ended up siding with Galactus. This was a rather complex match up at it's core. I love they really went the distance with this one. It even blew the newest version of Goku vs Superman episode away!!! Easily among my favorite season finales to date. They really done justice to both these tyrants. I personally couldn't ask for anything else.
Bowser vs Eggman
Prior to actually happening, this was one of my biggest requests to date. I know some people might get tired of Mario vs Sonic. I felt this was a rather necessary one to do on the show. Two legendary video game villains with a long list of connections. At their core, they heavily played off of magic vs science theme.
Let's be honest, this easily blew Wily vs Eggman away!!! This was both characters' second episodes. Easily they're best one on the show. There's so many crazy possibilities to consider. I loved they went for a war theme fight animation. Personally one on one could've been too short. Not to mention, it wouldn't help people understand why Bowser wins against him either.
By doing a war with their armies. You truly see how these two tyrants differ in how they do things. I confess I'm a bigger Eggman fan myself. After doing research, I quickly went for Bowser. I'll give Eggman credit he put up quite a fight indeed. This was way better than Bowser vs Ganon it's not even close!!!
Shigaraki vs Mahito (current season)
It's been a few months since they done Shigaraki vs Mahito on the show. I figured it deserved a spot in the lineup as well. I love they heavily play off don't get touch by either villain character. They had some strong similarities since Mahito was inspired by Shigaraki. We get two unique villain characters going at it.
Shigaraki showcase how he was Deku's greatest enemy. In vice versa, Mahito was lucky Shigaraki didn't kill him on the spot. I knew from my research Shigaraki going to easily win this fight. I personally do not like Mahito either. Seeing him die the fact he does actually made me quite happy. We get two vastly different written villains.
Shigaraki had a lot of tragedies in his life. Mahito was simply born out of people's inner ugliness. Shigaraki had plenty of not pleasant stuff to become an villain. Mahito was never going to be good being an pure evil cursed spirit. The fight animation was rather impressive. I simply loved everything about the episode myself.
