Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I recently came back to Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 to finish up the series. I really wanted to do this review ever since I first got to play both these compilations. I haven't played many Mega Man series but I can safely say Mega Man X series is already my favorite. Honestly, I am very impressed with these games more so than the classic series.
Unlike the previous Legacy Collection games, both of these came out the same day. Some of it's content is virtually the same. Yes, they are many things related to each game included. They added a loop option for the music player. Trust me, the songs are absolutely amazing. There's eight games with four of them in each compilation.
The first compilation mostly has three SNES games with one PS1 game. The second compilation finishes up with two PS1 games & two PS2 games. I can safely say PS1 games are the finest games. The SNES games do come close as well. Although, two particular entries I can't recommend others to play for different reasons.
X6 ruined the story of the X5 in a way that's doesn't make sense. This actually got the creator of Mega Man upset despite no longer making Mega Man games at that point. Also some of the level designs don't make much sense either. You can play as X but you can unlock Zero late in a run. X7 is a true mixed experience, it makes Mega Man 8 seem like a master piece.
This is when they tried something new. Yet the entire experience feels off. You can play as three characters that doesn't change the direction of the story much. You could save people with a lot of them are in the worst possible spots. You are likely to miss them for one reason or another seriously it's terrible.
Keep in mind, X7 brought the series to PS2. Maybe they should've wait before going into making this game. Capcom does have some great games on PS2 like Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition or Resident Evil 4. This particular entry has a glitch that can prevent you from completing the level I'm not kidding.
Due to how they went about the actual graphics, it's sometimes tricky to judging how to jump to another platform. Otherwise, majority of these games are very good for the most part. Not much to criticize other than some of them being harder. Some earlier entries uses the password system that also acts as your save feature.
In Mega Man Legacy Collection, you can save state the hell out of those games. In Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, you can only do check points from the emulator options. Thankfully from MM8 to MM10 you can save in game. I am happy you can save in all eight Mega Man X games. But I do need to mention for the last stages, if you reset or turn off your game.
Let's say if you stopped on the second of these stages then you did either of those. You will be reset to the beginning of those stages why? Just like the classic series, you got to take out an enemy group. The Mavericks to me are way more interesting in common. I mean come on Capcom how many characters can you name something Man?
What's next Diaper Man, Banana Split Man, Corny Man, Violent Man the list of potential bad names goes on. Also, late in the games you do have the rematches with all eight of them. Instead of Dr. Wily, we have Sigma whose essentially Ultron for Mega Man X franchise. Unlike Dr. Wily, I do respect Sigma, this virus does not give up.
Some of the absolute most difficult final boss fights in Capcom's history are present here. Honestly, I am somewhat disappointed in X Challenge. I do like the concept of taking on two Mavericks at once. But it seems they chose the lazy way out. Majority of fights are the same on both compilations. The only real difference is they changed every third fight on X Legacy Collection 2.
I do like I get a few chances as well as selecting what I want to bring in. But even that is limited depending on the line up. I'm not great at these games truthfully. So don't expect me to talk about the secret final fight that aren't even Mavericks. Also they don't fully use all the Mavericks. Oh okay I could excuse both X7 & X8 since they done their boss fights differently.
There's still no excuse about the first six entries. Not only that, some pairings doesn't make sense to me. A couple of the Mavericks are used often too. Why not give a few Mavericks a try? There isn't even much to go on how this mode fits in either. I do like playing it for the challenge with a few being surprisingly difficult.
They also included Day of Sigma OVA that occurs before the original Mega Man X. I am happy this is included but why did they put the same OVA on both compilations? I could see some getting the later compilation first. It still doesn't make much sense though. Majority of additional content that isn't in the actual games is worth checking out.
A handful of it are hidden, they will give you trophies as well. I also liked the screen options for both compilations. The overall emulation is very solid with notable slowdown in the SNES games. I also liked each game has stuff you can get to better your chances in somewhat. This wasn't as much present in the classic series.
It is mind blowing how more awesome these games can truly be. My favorite entries on both compilations are very straight forward. X4 for X Legacy Collection 1 & X5 for X Legacy Collection 2. To be fair, despite criticisms people give X8. I actually enjoy this game a lot more than I was expecting.
A huge amount from the classic series is greatly improved in every single way. Yeah I still struggle trying to do some aerial moves due to how they went about the default controls. I do know you can change them, I just chose to work with it instead. Like some classic Mega Man games, there are a few optional bosses you could face.
They do put an amazing level of depth in most of these stages. I also liked most bosses has a health bar. For both compilations, they added Rookie Hunter mode that makes the games easier. I will be honest, most of them are mostly a cakewalk with that. The SNES games in particular will still punish you like no tomorrow especially late into them.
I really like after beaten the stages, you can explore them more for stuff you missed. Some of these games has an extra version of X but mostly of Zero like Black Zero. He is recolored in black while being more powerful. I heard the PS2 games got their loading screens shortened for X Legacy Collection 2.
I do see why AVGN 2 game parodied the mechanics of these games lol. I can only hope Capcom does ending up releasing Mega Man X9. Personally late SNES to early PS1 games should be what they need to recreate for X9. You also can change the languages that does affect most of these games in some way.
I'm still new to this franchise, I do recall seeing a video someone made about missing songs. Yeah apparently some songs exclusive to some of their Japanese versions isn't present in either Legacy Collection. Yes, I am aware both of these are officially the second Mega Man X compilation game. Honestly, they still got a few other Mega Man games they could make a collection with.
Portable Mega Man Legacy Collection
1. Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge (Game Boy)
2. Mega Man 2 (Game Boy)
3. Mega Man 3 (Game Boy)
4. Mega Man 4 (Game Boy)
5. Mega Man 5 (Game Boy)
6. Mega Man (Sega Game Gear)
Additional Mega Man Legacy Collection
1. Mega Man: The Power Battle (Arcade)
2. Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters (Arcade)
3. Mega Man: The Wily Wars (Sega Genesis)
4. Mega Man & Bass (GBA)
5. Mega Man Powered Up (PSP)
6. Mega Man Soccer (SNES)
Yes I know most of these are from the classic series. There isn't much left of X series other than Mega Man X: Command Mission and Mega Man Xtreme series. I highly doubt that would get it's own compilation. In a sense as a late tie in, I already know about the release of Mega Man Zero/ZX Collection.
If Capcom just allowed two short Mega Man series in one compilation. Then we probably getting more related to the classic series in the near future. I really don't think there's enough fans to demand Mega Man Legends Legacy Collection that doesn't roll off your tongue. Personally, X series comes with a very strong recommendation.
These games are truly legendary in their own right you just can not fully recreate or surpass. In fact, a lot of indie Metroidvania style games took a lot of aspects from this series. Mega Man X is an absolute must have in your collection. Now the big question I know some Mega Man fans wants to know.
Now I played four of these Legacy Collection games. Which game compilation series I felt held up better in comparison? If we were just judging the actual games then hands down X series wins. But I just felt in additional content section was given a little more care in the classic collections. Yes I know there isn't as close as much X collection games has.
At least, they didn't reuse several things for both collection games. Achievement/trophy wise I have to give it to X collections for more direct trophies that can done in each game. I also liked you could use codes for some truly awesome stuff in both X collection games. Yes, both Mega Man 9 & 10 does have dlcs.
You have two ways of accessing those additional stuff that got added on at later dates. Trust me, that's the only notable code the classic collection games uses. To me, the classic collection games did differ itself from each other more. At the same time, both X collection games made it easier to memorize where everything is.
Overall, I got to say both Mega Man X Legacy Collection games are essentially better. Despite it's issues directly relating to the actual compilation holding each games. It really does make up for it in the long run. Also, maybe this is just me but these games sorta come off like anime games. I still haven't play many anime games.
There is no question X series are more difficult games. Yet you could get access to some truly awesome stuff you simply can not ignore. I am not kidding, I had a very different experience from little to no upgrades from having them all. I also liked being able to play as another character in a couple games.
Up to Mega Man 9, you are mostly stuck as the original Mega Man. I'm a huge Zero fan ever since I got to play these. The actual stories are more to my likening as well. The Mavericks are clearly done better overall in comparison. Sigma is such a great villain, you already know in each final boss fight. You really need to bring it or die trying.
The actual levels are notably bigger with greater level of details in X series. There just not denying which Mega Man series I prefer more. I still do respect the classic series. Even it's finest game, Mega Man 2 isn't as good as some of the finest this series has to offer. I am not kidding, they really are that damn good.

Why I Respect Joe Musashi (Shinobi series)
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, For me I always been a huge fan of Shinobi series. I am well aware it's been not great since the Genesis era. Joe Musashi is still one of my absolute favorite Sega characters of all time. I think it's time to give this man some respect. I am also aware majority of gamers prefers Ninja Gaiden over Shinobi, I get it.
Not to insult anyone right off the bat. Just going by the great Shinobi games. Joe does do more stuff you would consider a ninja would do. Like using scrolls that each have different effects. Including one that damages enemies or bosses at the cost of your own life. You get a limited amount of Shurikens.
You have to be cautious sometimes willing to take risks to survive in Shinobi games. It's actually trickier to hit some Shinobi bosses' weaknesses than that of Ninja Gaiden series. Also, Joe doesn't get upgrades to have him out for the most part. Yes, some ports of the original Shinobi did do that. Beyond those no you are all alone.
You even go to land some difficult jumps. Two Shinobi games at the end forces you to figure out how to escape the maze. This requires paying a lot of attention as well as constantly watching out for all kind of threats. Shinobi series always pushed the envelope prior to Shinobi Legions on Sega Saturn. It seems from that game on is where the series fell hard.
Shinobi also had some tricky bosses to avoid including Spider-Man himself. I don't think Ryu ever took on someone like Spider-Man before. These games were legendary as they were challenging. Yes some of them had one hit deaths while others had some complex game designs. I also liked in Shinobi 3, you can wall jump.
Yes I know, some Ninja Gaiden games do that as well but damn it doesn't look that good in comparison. Shinobi is more true to it's very title than Ninja Gaiden. Usually gaiden is a side story of something but Ninja Gaiden is it's own franchise making the usage of that word don't make sense. At least with Shinobi, you already know you're playing as a legendary ninja.
Yes there is a water level that's ripping off the turtles. I kinda felt Joe made that look more awesome than they did. Honestly, there's the right level of challenge especially in later levels. Ninja Gaiden is more meant for the hardcore gamers meaning majority of them should be more turned off by it. Instead, they actually praise it like Ninja Gaiden on NES as the perfect ninja game.
I could make arguments why The Revenge of Shinobi is a better game. Shinobi 3 to me is the perfect ninja game. Honestly, you aren't living if you haven't got to play Shinobi 3. This game will test your gaming skills in ways you can not imagine. To me, it's depressing so many prefers Ninja Gaiden when Shinobi should get more respect.

Forgotten Gaming Mascot #2 Earthworm Jim (Shiny Entertainment)
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, today I will talk about a particular gaming mascot that had a short time in the spot light. Now just going by that there's a couple you could possibly name. Don't worry this isn't a guessing game. In more recent years, this character has grown on me a lot. I'm here to talk about Earthworm Jim, groovy.
Earthworm Jim had a short lived game series originally by Shiny Entertainment. The first two games got enough popularity to have it's own cartoon show. Most gaming mascots didn't even get that. This franchise has some truly bizarre sense of humor. Yes it's a worm that's somehow using a suit. This guy has some serious weapons.
More recently, there's a new Earthworm Jim game coming exclusively to a console not a lot of people would own. Not the strangest move by far, no that would be Earthworm Jim 3D. Yeah, this character was given an amazingly horrible 3D experience that actually killed his franchise. It doesn't help that game was a shameless rip off of Banjo-Kazooie games on N64.
Interplay bought Shiny Entertainment then forced the team to work on another game that ended up being MDK. A different team that clearly didn't know Earthworm Jim created a disaster. He was a guest hidden character in two versions of ClayFighter 63 1/3 game. Which also had Boogerman whose from the same company as Earthworm Jim.
Earthworm Jim was a truly out there concept that surprisingly worked. The first two games are amazing platformers that still held up incredibly well. Personally, Earthworm Jim 2 is my favorite. This guy is one of the strangest gaming mascots there ever was. At the same time, he's a mixture of awesomeness with humor kinda like Ash Williams from Evil Dead series.
Hard to believe Dan Castellaneta who voiced many cartoon characters including Homer Simpson. He has voiced Earthworm Jim in the cartoon. Sadly, he also voiced him in Earthworm Jim 3D. This guy voiced so many Simpsons characters, it could take hours to fully breaking them all down. Earthworm Jim is usually a platformer that has run & gun element.
It's a similar type of game to Vectorman series without transformations. The bonus levels are easy to understand but sometimes frustrating to stay on top of. Earthworm Jim has some variety in his games. Let's be honest, the first two games has some weird boss fights. The simple fact he had a few games as well as a cartoon show is already more than most gaming mascots.
Indirectly his guest appearances in ClayFighter series could've also played a part in his long absence. It's difficult to accurately describe the actual humor this franchise has. They took an earth worm that easily could've blown right in their faces. Instead, it became one of the most awesome things in all of gaming.
There isn't a lot of games similar to the first two Earthworm Jim games. Honestly, it's a challenge to find something that could fill that bill. Which makes Earthworm Jim himself something truly unique. Something you can not recreate no matter how hard you try. I knew since last month I was going to do Earthworm Jim for this entry.
This guy was popular enough to make a notable dent in the mascot wars. I don't think he burnt out & died like most of them did. Interplay clearly wanted to stop that franchise however they could. Maybe that's how I personally felt about this. Earthworm Jim does have voice overs that also wasn't common among gaming mascots of his era.
In a weird way trying to describe this is like doing the same for Comix Zone. Despite the fact it's a short beat em that takes place inside a comic book. This is more of slap stick comedy that isn't afraid to try weird jokes. Seriously, a princess actually named Princess What's-Her-Name lol. We even get giant hamsters in a level.
I went a long time not seeing them in video games until Serious Sam Double D XXL I'm not kidding. Earthworm Jim always done weird stuff involving cows. Yeah, Shiny Entertainment sure loved cows moo lol. Honestly, this series was amazing up to when it all fell apart. The actual character is still interesting as well as being amazingly bizarre.
Sadly, he isn't a mascot character anymore. Which is more of a common faith than you would expect. The simple fact is he was the reason Shiny got bought by a company like Interplay in the first place. It's a real shame they screwed them over. I also liked some weird with the actual earth worm he does in these games.
Earthworm Jim is vastly different from most gaming mascots. A huge number of them were choosing some obvious animals while others took a page from Sonic to doing animals people didn't know. The same strategy Crash Bandicoot ended using. No body was even expecting an insect would make this level of impact within the gaming community.

Jack Red reviews Mega Man: The Wily Wars
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I recently been playing a couple games off of Sega Genesis Mini. I spent a couple of hours on a particular game compilation that's included. One of the rarest Mega Man games in the entire world. Mega Man: The Wily Wars is mostly mixed reception among the fans. So what do I think about this?
Mega Man: The Wily Wars is a compilation of the first three Mega Man games remade on Sega Genesis. The actual US release history of this game is quite interesting. Originally, in 1994 through the Sega Channel this game with several others were temporary brought here. More recently in 2012, AtGames put the game among many others in one version of their portable Genesis player.
Last year, Sega released Sega Genesis Mini that does included this game. There isn't many game compilations on the console. Even fewer are classic games remade on Sega Genesis that aren't arcade games. If you played the hell out of the first three Mega Man games. You should be better off than those who haven't like myself.
I can't judge the actual NES version directly. Although, I do own Mega Man: Legacy Collection 1 that does emulate the first six Mega Man games. Obviously, parts of the artwork in some areas are notably different. For the most part, all three Mega Man games are mostly faithful to their respective NES versions.
Believe it or not, they went the extra mile with this. If you beat the first three Mega Man games on the same save. You can play a bonus game called Wily Tower. This is such a nice addition to the overall experience. You can select up to eight Robot Master abilities you want. Not only that, you also can select up to three teleport items to help you on the way.
At times, you will be asked if you want to change anything out. Wily Tower brings so much from the first three Mega Man games to help tie everything together nicely. I should mention, instead of the Robot Masters you would expect. You will face the Genesis Unit that's made up of three new boss characters.
Each members is based on a particular character from classic Chinese story Journey to the West. Keep in mind, this same story also inspired Dragon Ball as well as Saiyuki. I loved among the beaten games, it will say All Clear on your save for that Mega Man game. Unfortunately, it doesn't on Wily Tower for some odd reason.
If you are a Mega Man fan, you need to experience this for yourselves. I know a lot of people especially bias Nintendo fans believes Sega Genesis has terrible audio. When in fact, there's so many great songs being played off the console itself. Yes, their choice of an audio chip that makes the emulating of the overall sound more difficult than it should be.
Mega Man: The Wily Wars is packed with content to keeping you busy for hours. Easily one of the biggest surprises among Sega Genesis Mini. You get technically three and a half Mega Man games in place of one Genesis game. It is mind blowing the other Classic mini consoles didn't do that. I would even go as far to say this is way better than both Mega Man 7 & 8.
Yes, due to recreating each Mega Man games onto a more powerful consoles. Not everything would be perfect. I don't think the controls are off by much neither the overall physics. Yes, some particular boss fights like Yellow Devil in Mega Man 1 is notably easier. Some popular glitches from the NES games aren't present here either.
Capcom put a lot of work into this game compilation. Personally, I am very impressed how well done it truly is. I wouldn't say this is the greatest Mega Man game ever made because it isn't. For a very few Mega Man games to come out on Sega consoles, this is likely the best of them. I do recommend playing this off of Sega Genesis Mini for a few reasons.
1. The actual cartridge & bootleg copies can be expansive
2. These games can be difficult at times
3. You need to take breaks unless you are crazy enough to do it all in one long endurance
4. Some bosses is easier using their weaknesses against them
5. You can use save states to help you out
Honestly, this is worth checking out. I have to say among classic Mega Man games on 16-bit consoles, this would be the best. You really get more than enough to justify more so than most rare Genesis games. Mega Man: The Wily Wars is hands down a forgotten gem among the Genesis library.
This compilation was the beginning of something truly beautiful. Yes I am talking about the later game compilation. I personally didn't get to Mega Man Anniversary Collection. Although, someone told me a lot about it while going to school a long time ago. I got to be honest, if you want a challenge look no further than this game I am not kidding.
The music to me is mostly great as well as the sound effects. Yes I do agree some songs in general are simply better in their respective NES versions. I always been a fan of how audio plays off an Genesis console. I felt this is a complete package that's not only going to bring back nostalgia for it's fans. This is a love letter to them telling em we need Sega to get in on the fun.
I am not going to lie, there is obviously a learning curve. Some parts you'll quickly get while others you are more likely to lose it or simply be confused. The confused parts is not often though. Like some bosses you need to use your head how to damage them. Most bosses do have a health bar with a particular boss in Wily Tower having two of them without additional phases.
There's a great variety of everything especially for the level designs. I could talk for hours how I feel about them. I do agree some of the NES version's artworks is better. I do like some changes in Genesis version a bit more. I also liked in Wily Tower, you get a better idea which stuff you are bringing than you usual do.
What I mean by this is usually you get two letters to represent almost everything. Only energy tanks are the exception to that. You mostly get icons that kinda makes things a little confusing. But in Wily Tower, you get a better picture of what you brought in. Now this by itself plus making the selection screen bigger than the other Mega Man games included does also help out.
I know some would prefer the other Mega Man games' selection since it doesn't cover much of the screen. Honestly, sometimes it's nice to know what's possibly coming to your way. You would be amazed how incredibly easy it is to die in these games. It isn't Ghouls 'n Ghosts level of hard but it does come close in a few ways.
I also liked you can select any of the Mega Man games except Wily Tower from the start. Which means you can complete these games in any order. Like you would expect, you also can do that with the Robot Masters & The Genesis Unit as well. Let's be honest, being forced to complete one level for hours can be very annoying.
I love having an option of a few stages especially if doing so ends up making the games much easier in the long run. Like going in a particular order per a game makes most difficult parts seem like a cake walk. But some of their abilities can be frustrating to get working. Thank god, most bosses have alternate weaknesses to help you out.
This is a game that will test your gaming skills in more ways you would expect. You simply can't rush in thinking "Oh I'm going to speed run this bitch." LOL who are you Leeroy Jenkins come on now. Now this is one of the finest among Capcom's games on the console. Obviously, it is their most ambitious Genesis title ever created almost like a perfect gaming experience.

Jack Red reviews Sonic Forces
Yes, I am well aware Sonic movie comes out this week. I already figured this month's big review had to be a Sonic game. Honestly, a lot of people judged this game the wrong way.
On February 11, 2020 I got all the collectibles. Silver Moon Rings really aren't my friends lol. I felt the collectible portion was better than several Sonic games. The stages are right around the perfect length to constantly replay them as much as I needed to. Honestly, I had a ball going for these even with Silver Moon Rings pissed me off.
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, the day has finally arrived. I get to play Sonic Forces, I remember being more excited for it than Sonic Mania. I figured Sonic Mania was going to be a great Sonic game. Then on launch day, I heard a lot of people were heavily disappointed with Sonic Forces. Of course this had a major effect on me.
I got to be honest, this Sonic game isn't bad. I would say it is good enough to be satisfying. What's a better way of saying I like the game. I kinda liked it more than Sonic Lost World. Especially if we compare the speed it's no contest. Sonic Forces finally brought in the resistance against Dr. Robotnik concept.
Which originated in Sonic SatAM cartoon that continued through a long running comic book series. You get three characters to play as. Two versions of Sonic similar to Sonic Generations. The last playable character is your avatars. Yes you can own more than one of them but the game itself sees any of them as just one character.
I know that's kinda confusing but whatever it works. You also can use avatars created by other players too. In fact, this game is packed with stuff for your avatar. You still need to download free dlcs with Episode Shadow being the only major dlc. Sonic Forces is made by the Sonic Team with a great sound track.
If you have Episode Shadow installed, you actually can select Shadow in Modern Sonic's levels. You also can get Super Sonic dlc for free. Originally, it wasn't that quickly led to a lot of Sonic fans being angry. Personally, that was a horrible idea like Dead Rising 4 making the true ending as dlc bad. Surprisingly, by default you get thirty levels to play.
Yet the overall length of this game is much shorter you would expect even for a Sonic game. It is one of the easiest Sonic games to getting S ranks in as well. Yes, there's a major connection to Sonic Mania. Although, you should look into it on the internet since how they go about that isn't going to be exactly clear.
The learning curve is mostly fair. Although some collectible's placements can be painful strict or cruel to get. Sometimes, you need to equip the right wispon. I will be honest, I used a few video guides for the collectibles. On one particular stage, they used the lightning wispon. Yes I am aware all types have notable differences just for one type.
You can own a lot of the same weapons but most has two to three possible effects to help you out. I ended up trying something to see if I could do this with a burst wispon. Surprisingly, it worked on the spot. Most stages are easily to memorize. Both Red Star Rings & Numbered Rings aren't too bad. But Silver Moon Rings are a real pain to collect.
Red Star Rings are usually placed a notable distance from each other. Some are closer than others to another one at times. Numbered Rings has to be collected from the number #5 ring to the number #1 ring. If you collect them out of order, the remaining ones disappears. At the same time, two of these collectibles are very fair for the replay value department.
Now when it comes to Silver Moon Rings. These damn rings are a little too strict. Majority of these are close by each other. You could collect them in a different order sadly I haven't pulled that off. As soon as you collect any of them, you have to rush through wherever the remaining ones are. Trust me, slowing down or for the most taking a hit pretty much guarantees you won't collect them.
You got a very short period of time to collect all five of them. It also doesn't help as soon as you collect one. The remaining ones suddenly turns transparent making them more difficult to spot. We are talking about a game that does change up the stage designs often enough to notice. Maybe not bring in as many game play styles as both Sonic Adventure games.
What does happen is not many stages has a water theme or particular stuff that doesn't happen often. You could learn faster routes to finishing the stages. Which usually doesn't work well with the collectibles. You need to pay attention to sudden changes in some stages to get far in this. I found out, one stage has two possible ways of finishing.
A warning for those like me who got the game a few years too late. If you gotten this shortly after it's release. You had a much higher chance going for the ranking achievement/trophy. Keep in mind, you have to play on hard difficulty since ranking doesn't apply to normal difficulty. Almost everything you'll do will unlock stuff for your avatar.
Infinite & Dr. Robotnik are using the same gem that was used in Sonic Mania complete with the same sound effect. In the true ending of Sonic Mania, Past Sonic got sent into the future. Which led to him being in Sonic Forces. Dr. Robotnik used this gem to create a false army of doppelgangers. Some of Sonic's worst enemies kinda like a particular Dragon Ball Z OVA you know the one.
Speaking of Dragon Ball, not to cause any flames here. I strongly felt Jump Force in a way did telepathically ripped this game off. Both of them has an avatar character being one of the most capable in their universe by late into the campaign. Also, you can customize the hell out of them. Let's be honest, it's an excuse for you to co-exist within their universes.
Obviously, Jump Force is more directly ripping off Marvel's Avengers concept. The same concept Universal's Dark Universe quickly shut down with just one movie lol Sonic Forces does have some interesting level designs. I got to be honest, the visuals in this game are amazing. Sadly, I am heavily disappointed in the boss fights.
Two particular boss fights are strikingly similar to each other. Usually most bosses within a Sonic game being more different then the last. Also the collectibles aren't in those stages. Some previous Sonic games did place some collectibles during boss stages. I am happy they don't so I could just focus on the boss.
Well oh okay, Dr. Robotnik's final boss fight was alright just a little repetitive. Sonic Forces also brought back the famous red star rings. You can do secret levels as well as EX levels. You need to collect the red star rings to unlocking EX levels though. They also have Sanic dlc shirts as well in this game.
For those that doesn't know, Sanic is a meme of a poorly drawn Sonic the Hedgehog. Honestly, the entire method they used for most of the in game texts was a major lackluster mess. I felt more cut scenes worked better simply because of that problem. I should mention, avatar characters do get weapons.
You can create a lot of avatar characters or brought someone else's. Episode Shadow only adds three more trophies/achievements to the game. Thankfully, you can take some time getting them quickly in three levels. This is a trophy/achievement friendly game, it's virtually throwing them at you. Not only that, you also get to do optional SOS missions.
I could say a few nice things about Episode Shadow. Like despite being a level shorter than Sonic 4 Episode Metal, it actually was fun to play. Yes both of them lack boss fights that every stage represents a different section of the game. Also, I do like you can play as Shadow in some of the main levels.
I also could've said you had to buy both Sonic 4 Episodes 1 & 2 to even play Sonic 4 Episode Metal. The ending isn't much better in comparison. For me, Sonic Forces is going more in the right direction. Sure it isn't perfect then again what exactly is the perfect Sonic game. Honestly, Episode Shadow does make a few revisited stages a little more fun than it originally was.
For the most part, they are unaltered versions of levels. A few occasions, you actually have to rescue little animals from a capsule. Otherwise, just replay the levels without dying. I do love most of customizing your avatars aspect of the game. On the surface, this game might look like a disappointment but hidden beneath is a gem.
Sonic Forces does hit a lot of high notes but ultimately falls short. I would probably say this is more of a gem among the main Sonic games if anything else. Not to mention along with Sonic Mania were continuing an anniversary of the franchise. Personally, it is way better than Sonic 06. I do think there's a good Sonic game in there.

Top 5 Reasons Why Puppet Master appeals more to me than Child's Play/Chucky series
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I always been a fan of killer toy movies. If it wasn't for Child's Play/Chucky & Puppet Master series. Chances are I probably wouldn't be a fan of it. Honestly, it is no surprise more people know about Chucky. But I am here to state my best reasons why I personally prefer Puppet Master more.
Keep in mind, this is strictly my opinion alone. Also you really couldn't go wrong with these movies. Both of them have a loyal fan base that simply wants more of them. There are things that both franchises do differently from each other. Thus making them a vastly different experience from each other.
5. Puppet Master got a licensed game
I am aware the developers were working on and off this game. Late last year, Fullmoon made it official. I don't think Chucky has many video game appearances. You can clearly tell the developers were huge fan of these movies. Honestly, I would love to see the ninja become a playable character in this game.
4. Actually gets their fans involved
Some of the later Puppet Master movies got their fans involved. The most recent doing that with Puppet Master: Axis Termination. Most Nazis that dies in this movie was played by fans. Keep in mind, Fullmoon got money funded by their fans to making several movies. I love they gave them a role even if it was short with cool deaths.
3. Depending on things, the puppets can be either good or evil
Let's be honest, Chucky is always a bad guy. In some Puppet Master movies, someone not pleasant commanded the puppets into killing people. A good number of them had good people leading them. Regardless whose the puppet master is. It greatly affects the puppets very roles in these movies. They even took on the supernatural a few times.
2. The puppets
There is a lot of puppets, at this point you are likely to find at least one you would like. My personal favorite always has been Blade. Each puppet brings something different to the table. Like Torch has a flamethrower or Tunneler having a working drill on top of his head. These puppets were built to stand the test of time.
1. It has an unique mythology
The entire story of Puppet Master goes back to the early 1900s. They have been through a lot of stuff over the years. We get to learn more about what brings them to life as well as how unique their very design is. Sometimes, they take on supernatural beings & the Nazis. There are rare times, we get to learn about the very people's souls whose bonded to those puppets.
A bonus reason just for fun please enjoy.
The actual movie covers to me look better than majority of Chucky movie covers.
Not insult to some Chucky movie covers. I always felt most Puppet Master covers looks better. Even the no so great Puppet Master movies gets somewhat rememberable covers. My favorite cover always has been Puppet Master 2. For a low budget horror movie franchise, it's been going for a long time. Slightly less than Chucky but it's very legacy is more likely to have an impact on you.
