Quick Fire Death Battle Prediction Round 1

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, today we will be doing something very different. I want to do a few fight predictions within one blog. But in order to do that I must not include some of the essentials like abilities with gear, advantages, disadvantages and weaknesses. Also by doing that, it would give more of a surprise who would actually win in a fight to the death.

I am doing this as a challenge but also I don't think all of them could've been great being longer blogs on their own. So I felt this was the best angle to represent multiple fight predictions right after each other. I know this will likely leave questions to the usual focusing strictly on one fight I was doing prior to this.

Round 1: Reptile (Mortal Kombat) vs. Aeon Calcos aka Lizardman (Soulcalibur)

Reptile

Reptile is one of the last of his species that currently resides in Outworld. He usually serves whoever is ruling over Outworld. Reptile may appear to be a man when in fact is Saurian. He has hold his own against some of the best fighters in several canons. Not only that, Reptile briefly was the vessel for Onaga the Dragon King.

Aeon Calcos

Aeon became an experiment that transformed him into a humanoid lizard man. Over time, Aeon losing some of his humanity becoming more like a beast. Despite this, Aeon does still fight with weapons while wearing armor. He has hold his own against some of the best fighters in his universe. Aeon also by Soulcalibur V was maintaining what he had left of his humanity.

Verdict

Aeon does have the durability advantage because he wears armor. This is depended on if he brings a shield or not. Aeon does have a history changing out his arsenal through out the series. Yes there are a few Mortal Kombat games, Reptile gets weapons. But Reptile himself has held his own without them.

For starters, Reptile by default has a better state of mind than Aeon. Due to his experience & not wearing stuff like armor likely takes the speed advantage. Now throw in his ability to turn invisible. He can easily get around his defenses. I should mention Reptile does have more range attacks in comparison.

Also Reptile has shown to be capable of devouring bodies like it's nothing. Reptile can split acid that can quickly break down a body shortly after making contact with it. Obviously Reptile is more intelligent out of the two reptilian creatures. Aeon is likely to become more predictable as the fight goes on.

Winner: Reptile

Round 2: The Lizard (Marvel) vs. Killer Croc (DC)

Dr. Curtis Connors aka The Lizard

Dr. Connors was experimenting on a method to regain his missing arm. Instead caused him to transform into a man size lizard creature called The Lizard. It is debatable sometimes which mind has control while in this state. The Lizard remains a recurring enemy to Spider-Man. This creature is unique in a lot of ways.

Waylon Jones aka Killer Croc

Waylon Jones used to be a pro wrestler until he unexpectedly got a condition that transformed him into a reptilian man. To clarify, he didn't get his DNA spiced or was born a meta/mutant to become this thing. Killer Croc is a recurring enemy to Batman that's widely known for his aggressiveness. Easily one of the physically strongest among his enemies.

Verdict

Let's be honest The Lizard triumphs in all stats. Sure Killer Croc could rip through human flesh or send some people flying. But The Lizard could do something like that with more ease in comparison. Also depending on which mind The Lizard is using. Both of them has proven to be more intelligent than Killer Croc.

Who regularly focus on overpowering his opponents not the best approach to The Lizard. Also The Lizard can move much faster due to being able to crawl around tight areas. Killer Croc being an reptilian allows The Lizard to use his ability to control other reptilian creatures. Therefore he can guarantee victory in this fight. Which means the only real way Killer Croc could win is if The Lizard turns back to Dr. Connors.

Winner: The Lizard

Round 3: Ermac (Mortal Kombat) vs. Rose (Street Fighter)

Ermac

Shang Tsung was tasked with creating a being that could help Shao Kahn. So the sorcerer took all the souls loss during wars fought on Outworld at the time to fuse into one being called Ermac. This being is mystic in nature capable of mentally powers on a greater level than those with similar powers. Ermac is virtually a ridiculous amount of souls forced into one powerful being.

Rose

Rose was M. Bison's good half prior to him mastering Psycho Power. The same force his body can't fully contain yeah that didn't exactly work out. Rose does maintain many of M. Bison's powers just not as powerful as him. She often helps to some degree against several threats. Rose does have a strong psychic ability that makes him a dangerous enemy to those who oppose her.

Verdict

Rose is half an soul while Ermac virtually an army of them fused into one being. It is difficult to even coming up with a method that sounds possible enough to come off as being accurate. After all, some of those wars fought on Outworld also technically happened on other realms while merging them together.

Which means, Ermac is essentially from multiple realms at it's very core. Ermac would gain that knowledge as well as experience because of it. Sure, he does get weaken in the Netherrealm aka Hell. But Rose couldn't take advantage of that. In comparison, Rose is still a powerful being in her own right.

But Ermac is virtually going to be around millions if not billions of souls loss within Outworld. Keep in mind, it isn't clear how many realms Shao Kahn has claimed. We only know of a handful of them he did claim like Edenia & Zaterra. Even Rose would quickly realized her power isn't going to be enough here.

Ermac has greater potential to majority of what Rose can do possibly more than that. Honestly Rose is more powerful than you would expect for being half a soul of another character. But Ermac is simply too much for her alone to handle. She can only delay the inevitable in this particular case. Ermac being all of those souls also means Rose has to manipulate all of them at once to win this fight.

Winner: Ermac

Final Round: Swamp Thing (DC) vs. Man-Thing (Marvel)

Swamp Thing

Most origins are similar where a scientist dies by drowning in a swamp. Sometime afterwards a mysterious swamp creature raises. Swamp Thing is essentially the avatar of all plant life through The Green. I didn't name that lol anyway he has shown to be one of the most god like beings in his universe.

Dr. Theodore Sallis aka Man-Thing

Dr. Theodore Sallis gets screwed over that led to him drowning in a nearby swamp. Instead of actually killing him, he transformed into a mystic being known as Man-Thing. This being protects the same swamp he was created in since it actually the nexus to the multiverse. Man-Thing is a being you don't want as your enemy.

Verdict

Man-Thing does have many powers Swamp Thing has. But unfortunately for him, Swamp Thing is the avatar of all plant life. In order to fully kill him off, all plant life must be dead in the entire universe. Obviously Man-Thing doesn't have that reach of possessing of other plants. Also Swamp Thing does have intelligence while Man-Thing is a mindless creature.

Sure Man-Thing does have a deadly touch to those who got fear because of it. But that touch is virtually useless against Swamp Thing. Due to being the avatar of plant life, he could simply wipe him out of existence by possessing him. Swamp Thing also held his own against powerful beings like Superman before.

In comparison, Man-Thing has not. Swamp Thing has additional powers like Flight that Man-Thing doesn't have. Keep in mind, I'm not giving him his White Lantern ring that also gives him the power of all life within the universe. Thus making Swamp Thing more insanely powerful & unkillable. To sum it up, there really isn't anything Man-Thing can do that Swamp Thing can't do.

Death Battle Fight Prediction: Ruby Rose (RWBY) vs. Maka Albarn (Soul Eater)

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, One of the biggest requests with an RWBY character to date. A few years ago, they already confirmed to be doing it in the near future. I am talking about an unusual scythe battle between Ruby Rose & Maka Albarn. I'm going to be honest, no matter how this plays out I do want to watch it.

Keep in mind, I have to talk about Soul since how some characters within Soul Eater fight differently. In their particular case, both of them are constantly working together to achieve their goals. Thus this can't be accurate by removing him. Also because he is the weapon she wields that would put her at a disadvantage against Ruby.

Ruby Rose

Ruby is the leader of the team RWBY, a group of huntresses taking on the Grimm. Supernatural creatures that terrorizes the world. Ruby wields one of the strangest scythes in all of fiction history. She has proven to be capable of leading her team. She is currently fighting to try saving the world after everything changed.

Maka Albarn & Soul Evans

Maka with her weapon partner Soul are a team that hunt down kishins. Maka is a student at the top of her class while Soul ran away from being an musician. Regardless, these two have overcome amazing odds including against Asura himself. Maka with her partner have proven to be capable of truly impressive feats.

Abilities

Ruby

+Wields Crescent Rose (both an over sized scythe with an High-Caliber sniper rifle built in)
+Semblance
+Silver Eyes (capable of destroying Grimm through their eyes)
+Can sense aura of people

Maka

+Posses Anti-Demon Wavelength
+Soul Perception (can sense souls around the world)
+Scythe-Meister
+Demon Scythe
+Grigori (has an angel soul that can allow the ability to fly)
+Wavelength Control
+High Physical Abilities
+Hand to hand combat
+Danger Sense (she can sense how dangerous her opponent can be)
+Black Blood
+Black Blood's Madness
+Black Blood Armor
+Physically stronger

Soul

+Full-Weapon Transformation
+Demon Scythe
+Wavelength Control
+Black Blood
+Black Blood's Madness
+Black Room (it's part of his black blood's effects)
+Death's Weapon (Soul became an deathscythe)
+Magical-Life Powers
+Power of the Spider Queen (this allows Soul to use Maka's Soul Perception ability)
+Shape-Shift (this is on a greater degree than most weapon meisters)
+Soul's Piano
+Sound Wave Impact

Advantages

Ruby

+Using her aura could protect her from some attacks
+A slight chance can surprise Maka & Soul with her rifle attack
+Maka will likely to struggle try her scythe
+Dust ammo could damage them

Maka and Soul

+More overall experience for both of them
+Soul being a death scythe can use more devastating attacks
+Soul can disrupt her silver eyes or aura
+Capable of flying at high speeds
+Much faster
+Maka is smarter than Ruby
+Soul can easily change his form to whatever he wants
+Soul's scythe form is more durable than Ruby's Crescent Moon
+Maka through black blood is more durable than Ruby using her aura
+Their connection is much stronger than Ruby with her team
+Maka's Soul Perception can easily find Ruby regardless where she is
+Through using black blood, Soul can also use Soul Perception
+More likely to adapt during combat
+Also through black blood can greatly enhanced their stats
+Using black blood could prevent Dust from affecting both of them
+Maka is the best strategist in this fight

Disadvantages

Ruby

-Wields a much heavier scythe
-Dust is limited
-Aura is also limited
-Her stats simply isn't on their level
-Dust theme shots won't do much to Maka & Soul
-Soul can disrupt her silver eyes & aura
-More depended on her team in comparison
-Even if her silver eyes works, Maka & Soul can easily withstand it
-Can't not fly so has to waste Dust to blow herself into the air often
-Doesn't have a method to avoid being sense through Soul Perception
-Using her silver eyes can wore her out
-In comparison, doesn't realize things as quickly during combat

Maka and Soul

-Sometimes they can get into an argument
-Their roles in any fight can't be reversed
-At risk of going insane by using black blood
-Madness could affect both of them
-Maka or Soul aren't as physically strong as Ruby
-It is possible to disrupt their wavelength

Weaknesses

Ruby

Her scythe is not balanced in several ways. Low on stamina makes wielding Crescent Moon more difficult. Dust ammo is limited & not easy to come by as it once was. She doesn't fight very well without her scythe. She focus more on overpowering her enemies centered on team strategies. She can't repair her own weapon if it gets broken.

Maka and Soul

They don't see many things eye to eye at times. If they don't connect their wavelength, prevents them from using techniques. Black blood brings madness that could potentially affect both of them. Soul can be cocky at times while Maka can be stubborn to a degree. She does depend on using Soul during combat, sometimes with other people.

Verdict

I am sad to say this is a stomp in favor of Maka and Soul. I actually got a lot to explain since a lot of people who watch Death Battle got to read Soul Eater manga all the way. In fact, I'm sure a large number of them are using the anime version for reference. But there's a lot of major differences that makes the anime version, it's own canon.

To clarify, I am directly using information I gathered while reading the manga. I did hint this fight during my Orochimaru vs. Medusa Gorgon prediction blog. The nicest say to say this is late final battle with Maka & Soul reach their full potential. Which is a lot more powerful than in the anime version since Soul doesn't become a death scythe in that version.

Oh wait there's more, during that battle they both chosen to use black blood with madness to further push themselves. Thus they became insanely powerful enough to harm Asura twice. Asura is way more powerful in the manga version. In both canons, Asura was stated to be powerful enough only Lord Death can beat him.

There's a lot of truth in that statement folks. Asura was essentially insanity itself that couldn't be killed. It took Crona to seal him on the moon to stop him. Keep in mind, Asura is over eight hundred years old that's been insane for most of that time. Obviously both Ruby & Maka has fought in many battles with other teams in the past.

The bond between Maka with her partner is more unique than Ruby with her team. Their wavelength must connect in order to do anything together. Not in that way you sick bastards lol. It does confirmed Soul can use Maka's Soul Perception ability. She was able to sense the entire planet as well as the moon in the process.

In doing so, she discovered where Asura was hiding the entire time. Maka & Soul are more likely to adapt during combat. Also we haven't even gotten to talk about a death scythe. There was a chapter where Soul was temporary insane. Another weapon meister who wasn't a death scythe tried stopping him to only fail.

This alone limits who could wield him. It also states those who are a death scythe can even be wielded by Lord Death himself. Well now it's his son Kid that's ruling things but you get the idea. Death scythes are on their own level that's superior to majority of their students. Keep in mind, the weapon meister must eat ninety nine human souls or ninety nine kishin souls in the anime version.

There is another chapter that goes into details why the final soul has to be that of a witch. It turns out, a witch's soul allows a weapon meister to use their full potential. Maka had a very rare soul that had the ability to fly. It took them awhile, they can fly very well. Their flight speed is hands down ridiculous.

It took around four hours for one airship from Earth to reach the moon. But Maka with Black Star & Tsubaki fled very fast from a little in the sky to the moon. This is likely around a little greater than the speed of light since space shuttle takess a long period of time to traveling to the moon. Keep in mind, this even triumphs Death the Kid with his weapon meisters on his board to do the same exact thing.

Obviously just going by the manga, Kid wasn't going nearly as fast as Maka was. This level of speed simply does not exist within the RWBY universe. There was a brief period of time, Maka wielded her father whose the most powerful death scythe there is. Now I know they're family so the basic wavelength rules doesn't apply here.

But even being able to wield the most powerful death scythe is still quite an achievement. He was the same death scythe used against Asura earlier in the manga. In comparison, Ruby's Crescent Moon has major problems that ultimately work against her. For starters, due to it's weight alone Ruby has to keep moving with it often.

Also Dust is more limited than it originally was. Now this could affect both Soul & Maka despite both of them being humans. But Soul ate Arachne's soul that would give protection to Maka. Which along with using black blood possibly madness can easily counter it's effects. This also can counter Ruby's using her silver eyes.

This can easily kill The Grimm in the area but it can wear her out in the process. Even if she could get better to limit that possibility from happening. Soul can disrupt several beings that are over eight hundred years worth of madness. Sure it was temporary in some of those occasions. But that also could disrupt Ruby using her aura as protection.

I am going to be honest, Maka with Soul can dish out far greater levels of force especially late in the manga. It is likely they can quickly break her aura to put Ruby into an disadvantage. Not only that, Ruby has no choice but to waste Dust to send herself into the air. This by itself is a major flaw Soul & Maka are likely going to take advantage.

Plus both of them has more confirmed missions as well as training under their belts in comparison. Hell black blood does enhanced their stats especially their durability. There isn't a lot of proof that black blood can be broken in the manga itself. It can take a ridiculous amount of force to just doing that.

One time, Black Star done that against Crona. Now Crona is the leading example of using black blood. It can act as a durable shield to stop attacks with ease. It is considered an impressive feats to break through it even a little bit like Black Star did. During the final battle, Maka with Soul pushed the black blood in madness further to achieve a new form.

This particular form further increases all of their stats to a greater degree. This also includes their black blood armor that held up against powerful blows from Asura. Because Lord Death died due to Kid becoming a full shinigami. Asura remains as the single most powerful being in his universe. Obviously no body within RWBY can match the level of force from any of his attacks I'm not kidding.

Sadly Ruby lacks that level of force, they also have more ranges in their techniques. Ruby has to manually change weapon modes to do short or long range. But Soul can easily transform himself because he's a death scythe. It is a particular trait of being an death scythe not known to those who aren't one.

Keep in mind, Maka herself isn't technically a death scythe just a wielder of one. Ruby is more used to working with other people. Maka & Soul has survived being inside an Magnetic Field, an magical book and inside of Asura. All three of those are simply too much for Ruby to survive. I'll even take the time to explain simply because it's a very big request for their show.

Magnetic Field was created by an explosion that forever within it repeats the very hour that explosion happened. It was stated that most beings had to leave within twenty minutes or becomes a part of it. This field by itself prevents radios as well as using soul wavelength. Although they were able to work with the later through black blood.

This magical book had each chapter centered on the seven deadly sins. Yes they had to experience those sins as they went through this book. During Sloth chapter, they fought Giriko who had two different bodies. This led to his very soul not being able to handle that rage he held onto for over eight hundred years.

Obviously Asura became the source of all madness itself. Thus going inside of him then later came back out through him is very impressive. He is an insanely powerful being with madness the highest it could possibly go. They were even able during that fight to hold off against his madness for a short period of time.

Last I checked, Ruby has never left her planet so far in the show. I should mention Ruby can't manually repair her own weapon if it gets broken. Just the style combat alone went from being similar up til Soul becoming a death scythe. Now they had a few aerial battles as the story went on. Basically Ruby doesn't have many options that would help her in this fight.

I could even say she will be very over whelmed by both of them. Ruby is a skilled combatant in her own right. Her soul will be reaped before this night is done. Just comparing their default durability, Ruby ends up falling short there as well. Yes I know she fought against a mech designed to take on giant Grimm creatures.

Honestly I can't give her much credit there due to the fact, she wasn't fighting it alone. Maka & Soul defeated Arachne whose around as powerful as her younger sister Medusa. Keep in mind, she transformed herself into madness itself making her defeat even more impressive. They did held their own against Asura despite tanking a lot of punishment in the process.

They did trained against Professor Stein early on whose the best meister under Lord Death himself. He wasn't going easy on them either. This guy used madness on the moon to his advantage to wipe out a lot of clowns. Keep in mind, this was prior to the witches helping them out. Maka can actually see how dangerous a person can be by seeing their soul.

She also can see how powerful they are as well. Ruby would not have a counter for that. Ruby's training got interrupted due to a terrorist attack from Cinder's group. Keep in mind, both Maka & Soul are still going to DWMA. I know not fair of me to bring that into this. They even used madness to reach a new form to fight Asura that was able to cut him.

No body even came close of doing that during the final battle. This means Soul has way too much force for Ruby to handle. Also due to their bond, Soul's weight will seem light. Even if we were to consider she's lifting another person without the weapon part. Most humans would struggle attempt doing that on their own.

In an sense, Soul is going to be too heavy for Ruby to pick up. In comparison. Maka will struggle to pick up the Crescent Moon at first. But using black blood could give her the strength to wield it even better than Ruby herself. My point is Ruby ends up being outmatched in most categories. Maka with her partner triumphs experience and black blood could be too much for Dust in general.

Winner: Maka Albarn

Yes I requested this fight but up til recently. I didn't realized how much of a stomp this fight actually was. Honestly I do like Ruby to a degree, I'm a bigger fan of her sister Yang. Now even she falls in comparison to both Soul & Maka. Honestly I get it, two capable women wielding unusual scythes in somewhat similar worlds.

But this simply won't make a lot of people happy especially those who are more into RWBY. Now I really tried making Ruby looking a bit better than she actually does. Now that's proof I do have respect for her. I don't regret I requested this fight like so many people done. I am just happy Soul Eater will eventually appear on their show.

Soul was going to be a musician before he decided to becoming a weapon meister. He has proven to be quite skilled at playing the piano. Even Maka done it once inside their souls to not so great music. Although it still had affects during the situation. Soul is clever in figuring out how to play his music through things to reach other people within the area.

One time, he done this to stop Arachne from further infecting others with insanity to force her soul in one spot. This is exactly how they were able to kill her. Honestly, in every possible way Ruby falls short in either large to a ridiculous amount. She had no real way to kill both of them to win this fight. But they had plenty of methods to killing her in vice versa.

Freddy rematch (Mortal Kombat 9 vs. Dead by Daylight)

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, A while ago I did a comparison between a few games with horror movie slashers. I did state when I got to play the new Freddy rework that I would make a follow up comparison. Now this is going to be a lot closer this time. With Halloween being a few weeks away, I figured no time was more perfect.

https://jackred1989.blogspot.com/2019/05/which-is-better-portrayal-of-slasher.html

Freddy no longer has to bring survivors into the dream world. This was one of the most frustrating problems he originally had. Within a particular distance, Freddy can or can't see him. He has more powers to make trying survive more difficult. Like teleporting to another generator. This slightly reworked this feature for Stranger Things' The Demogorgon.

Depending on your add ons, you'll have one of two ways to put survivors asleep. They also introduced an mechanic for the survivors to wake themselves up. But it can become more difficult as the match goes on. He also can create dream pallets in place of used up ones to throw off survivors. Among triggering them will slow down survivors.

My first Freddy match with the rework had an Merciless Killer rank I'm not kidding. To me, this is more of how Freddy should've been done. In fact, it's so good that I had to do this follow up comparison. Keep in mind, all of this is strictly my opinion alone. As many of you know I'm a huge Freddy fan.

Alright, Mortal Kombat 9 version fits in perfectly. I feel the same way about the newer Freddy rework. Sure Robert Englund doesn't voice Dead by Daylight version Freddy. But the person voicing him to a degree still sounds close enough to the character. I also liked when you teleport, blood will come out of that generator you teleported to.

Obviously most finishing moves for MK9 version does reference several kills from his movies. Yes before Jason got that in his own game. I kinda liked how those were done in comparison too. Sure they didn't change Freddy's mori that's a shame. But they did change up stuff you can equip to him. Thus making him more fun to play.

It is actually fun to be a survivor going up against him instead of how it originally was. Freddy is still one of the most difficult to master killers, I should know. Sorry folks, I don't have Stranger Things characters yet. Honestly showcasing powers in Dead by Daylight does bring out what you would expect from the character.

Yes Freddy does have a story with an ending in Mortal Kombat 9. They recently added archives to Dead by Daylight. It is likely stuff related to Freddy will be in there soon. Sadly neither version has an alternate outfit. Although some licensed characters do have cosmetics they can wear. So it is possible Freddy might get that in the near future.

With everything considered, I have decided to go with Dead by Daylight here. Even ignoring all the crazy stuff it has. Freddy went from a questionably design to one truly worthy of his character. He used to be ranked close to or at the very bottom among the killers. Now he is ranked a lot higher since the new rework came out.

Also I do like he is one of the select few killers to have something different from the regular chase music. The add ons & sacrifices alone are way better than they originally were too. Sure between these two games, Freddy is more difficult to master in Dead by Daylight. But it is also one of those games you must play on Halloween.

Death Battle Fight Prediction Halloween Edition: Medusa Gorgon (Soul Eater) vs. Orochimaru (Naruto)

Special thanks to Casey Lapeyrouse

Welcome to Hell, I'm Lord Jackless Redmus the dark lord of this realm. You are all my servants hahahahahahaha.

Just to clarify, yes there's a theme for this particular prediction blog. Orochimaru's information will mostly be taken from the manga Naruto. Additional stuff for both characters will not be considered. I will mention them within the verdict to make a point. Also I put a lot of work into this one prediction blog recently.

-Sadly lacks a counter for mind manipulation like what was done to Crona

Weaknesses

Medusa (Yes Medusa planned to be killed by her own child)

She is more arrogant out of the two. Her magic to some degree has limits. She lacks the ability to sense souls. Possessing a weaker creature limits her potential to a degree. For spells like that requires madness wavelength from others in order to work. It is possible for someone with enough madness for her madness techniques to not work. A mental attack could knock her out.

Orochimaru

He has techniques that has to be done in a particular way. Also some of his techniques do require a lot of chakra. It is possible to prevent him from using chakra. Out of these two relied more on help at times in comparison. Orochimaru sets a lot more snakes out making it more difficult to maintain them.

Verdict

Alright I know I done two recent prediction blogs where an Naruto character loss. Before you start saying stuff like you don't like Naruto, Well I don't actually. But for this I actually left my bias side away to making this a fair fight. I am not going to lie, some of the stuff that needs to be talked about will get confusing.

For example, Orochimaru does have a few methods to posses another living person. However among a closer look I did notice a few problems. Living Corpse Reincarnation can only be perform once every three years. Which increases the chances of it failing against Medusa. A slight chance the host he's possessing won't resist him in that time period to become officially his new body.

Sadly that never actually happened in the manga. He attempted to stealing Sasuke's body to end up being absorbed by him instead. This by itself means it is possible for the host to fight back against Orochimaru. Keep in mind, during this process Orochimaru was weakened also becoming more desperate in the process.

Also in his giant snake form the one with hair to clarify has to swallow you whole. Shortly aferwards, in a strange dimension he will attempt taking over your body. The problem is Medusa ends up being the very person that shouldn't be attempted on. She does have Purple Clown that can protect her from a several ways including madness.

Medusa herself has other methods of causing insanity like the time she caused an entire town to go insane. Keep in mind within Soul Eater universe, madness affects both the mind & soul whoever makes contact with it. In this particular case, Orochimaru simply doesn't have the needs to dealing with something like that.

He can't prevent it from increasing or stop it altogether which ends up being worse than his poison infecting her. It is not clear how Medusa could survive being poisoned since that never happened in the manga itself. Purple Clown itself can cause madness wavelength to work on a single target likely being Orochimaru himself this particular case.

Sure it could take awhile before succeeding into madness but it could actually happen during a fight. This occurred a few times within Soul Eater manga itself. Also Purple Clown can fuse with some of her snakes to increase their attack power as well as speed. Yes they quickly got destroyed by Justin Law a former deathscythe who became insane during the battle for brew event.

I should point out Medusa actually fought three deathscythes within the manga by herself. The first of these had Professor Stein whose second best meister under Lord Death himself with Spirit whose the most powerful deathscythe there is. Orochimaru officially fought the Third Hokage & the Fourth Kazekage aka Gaara's father.

I can't count battles with people who weren't technically hokages yet like Naruto or Tsunade. The only reason Justin Law still counts was because during that part in the manga, they weren't aware of his insanity yet. There was a time Medusa forced her hands down two witches' throats before they could even react.

It turns out Medusa implanted snakes inside both of their bodies. She killed one of them simply commanding the snakes to cause her body to explode. Keep in mind, both of those witches can transform into smaller animals. Orochimaru himself can become a bigger snake. Although he still has a few human traits allowing those snakes to do the same to him if given the chance.

The scariest part is they aren't actually powerful creatures. They don't require magic or additional wavelength at all. Her usage of snakes can easily get around Orochimaru's defense without him realizing it until it's too late. It is possible due to those being magical creatures that Orochimaru might not be able to actually sense them through chakra.

Sure Orochimaru could create a new body even taking a lot of damage that may or may not lose limbs. But Medusa is smart enough to carefully move the snakes into his newer body thus forcing him in the same boat he just left. Yes she can even communicate with them regardless of the distance even if they're inside someone's body.

Orochimaru doesn't communicate with his snakes nearly as long distances. Thus Orochimaru swallowing Medusa wholse could likely led to his own death. Obviously can her soul through chakra while she can't sense a soul. Although she does have a method to disable it that not even shinigamis like Lord Death himself can't sense.

In a special condition, she can break up her soul. Yes this required additional madness wavelength. It is possible since Orochimaru could be driven to madness enough to allow her to do this. Thus she could possess one of his snakes. Also by doing this will throw off Orochimaru who isn't used to dealing with such an ability.

Those who never got to read Soul Eater manga doesn't know this. Medusa can also summon giant snakes of her own during combat. Sure this only happened once but they did damage the location to some degree. So she could handle dealing with Orochimaru's bigger snakes. It is possible for them to defeat Manda, his strongest snake.

Orochimaru's trump card is Eight Branches Technique where he becomes even bigger than Manda with eight heads & eight tails. I swear I'm not making this up even if I tried. Medusa once used madness wavelength to posses the corpse of her older sister Aranche. Simply doing that made her even more powerful than she originally was.

Medusa has constantly shown to held up against top tier characters while Orochimaru is likely a little beyond Sasuke in the power scale. Orochimaru can tank more notable force as well as more destructive attacks. But destruction is in witches' nature as confirmed in the manga. Yes majority of them have this.

Unfortunately for him, Medusa has another advantage not a lot of people knows about. It is stated in the Soul Eater manga by a witch that a witch's magic is immeasurable. Yes there are limits with usage of magic but Medusa is very skilled in her witchcraft. Which clearly doesn't exist in Naruto universe. Medusa was able to do things Orochimaru had to alter himself to do.

Like her age, possessing other beings, summoning snakes, and keeping up with her skills. In fact, during a conversation with her sister Arachne. It confirms both of them are older than eight hundred years old. To clarify we don't know how exactly old both of them actually are but that given a clear idea how old.

Which trumps Orochimaru's fifty four years of experience by almost seven hundred fifty years. Orochimaru could attempt freaking out Medusa by doing a stare. The same stare that caused his victims to see horrifying images. But it took her sister's insanity form to knocking her out. She alone was holding onto over eight hundred years worth of insanity.

Clearly that stare wouldn't be enough to knock out Medusa or to throw her off her game either. Orochimaru's seals takes time to work. It is possible to remove them like Sasuke had done before. Although that was from those who rescued himself than he actually recovering it himself. Also by the rules of Death Battle, that ability is technically outside help.

Thus ends up being an unfair advantage. Probably the biggest surprise of all is Medusa ended up being a better strategist overall. In the manga version right up to her death by Crona, everything went exactly the way she planned it. Even Death the Kid stated this during a mission to take out her sister at the time.

In comparison, some of Orochimaru's plans didn't work. This by itself means, Medusa has proven to be the best manipulator. She played everyone & yes I do literately mean everyone getting exactly what she wants. Medusa's Vectors can rip right through a human's body like knife through butter I'm not kidding.

Hell Professor Stein whose has a few similarities with Orochimaru himself tanked a lot of deep cuts in his battle against her. Obviously this means she can easily take care of his smaller snakes. It is possible for Medusa to last long enough for Orochimaru to run low on chakra. Which is a difficult feat to do within Naruto universe.

She actually by that point can easily kill him to win the fight. The real question is how would she last that long? The answer is a bit surprising, very late in the manga some of the strongest characters are constantly fighting off insanity clowns. Professor Stein himself as well as Spirit were doing just fine even with some of the fellow deathscythes getting tired on the moon.

Both Professor Stein & Spirit have proven to have the tendency to that by facing Medusa. She was holding them off until the kishin Asura was resurrected. This was the longest fight in that particular story arc. She was fighting dirty forcing them to fight close range majority of the fight.

Shortly after being cut in half, Medusa was still able to bite Professor Stein prior to hiding herself inside a snake while her body died. Clearly this means Medusa is even crazier than Orochimaru in comparison. Yes she loss that fight technically on purpose but she held her own against those very powerful characters on her own.

Yes Orochimaru does have superior combat training with more confirmed techniques. Unfortunately for him, Medusa is widely known for being unpredictable. I still haven't gotten to a particular situation Medusa could enforce among Orochimaru during this fight. She has an technique where her vector arrows are surrounding the target.

Each arrow represents a particular direction. If touching will force the target to move in that direction. Thus could prevent Orochimaru from attempting his bigger techniques in the process. But Orochimaru has a few methods to prevent this from happening like shadow clone jutsu or standard Body Replacement Technique.

Early on Soul Eater, she was able to keep up with Maka whose one of the fastest character. Keep in mind, this was before Soul became a deathscythe. So Maka isn't that level of speed that would triumph someone else in particular when the times comes. Maka was able to dodge light meaning Medusa rivaling that level of speed makes her technically faster than anything Orochimaru has done.

By the way it was my friend Casey that pointed this feat out to me thanks man. Before anyone brings up "Oh Orochimaru can run on water." argument that wasn't actually a speed feat. Kakashi taught a technique to Naruto's group to walk on trees. Which includes matching your chakra with that of the tree that requires concentration.

In other words, he quickly knew how to do that while running on water while talking to other shinobis like Kabuto. It is also possible to remove his arms to prevent him from using his many chakra filled techniques. Likely a stronger possibility when he's low on chakra late in this fight. I do need to mention due to being a witch, Medusa can fly while Orochimaru can't.

So if she attempts increasing the distance upwards, he has to constantly jump or use one of his bigger snakes just to reach her. This also limits many techniques that would work. Of course it also depends how fly Medusa is willing to do during this fight. If this were a fight, there's more ways both characters could win.

To sum it up, Medusa can handle whatever Orochimaru can throw at her during this intense battle. To be honest for me this was one of the most difficult fight predictions I ever made I'm not kidding. Both of them really had great advantages over each other making this surprisingly a close fight. Even if we included additional stuff given to them from their respective anime versions.

This fight would simply wouldn't be fair for Orochimaru. He would be coming in with extra techniques as well as a pill designed to knock out characters like Naruto with tailed beasts inside them. But Medusa guarantees victory because she would use a spell where you must destroy her soul Suddenly this becomes one of those fights where you must kill them for good or you'll lose.

Orochimaru himself lacks techniques that can do that. He could attempt stealing her body even with several souls inside of him. Which implies to all canons of Naruto but the result wouldn't be much different. Medusa can easily come up with a plan to taking him down. After all, her advantages ends up being more useless in comparison anyway.

Winner: Medusa Gorgon

I should mention Medusa could have up to a thousand snakes. It isn't clear how many snakes Orochimaru could have at one time. Yes I am well aware his bigger snakes are mostly made out of smaller ones. Which is largely the reason Medusa's giant snakes would rip through them easily. It took beheading them all at the same time to take them down.

Honestly I went out of my way to finish reading Soul Eater manga for this prediction blog. I also finished my research on Maka and Soul whose confirmed to be facing Ruby Rose in a future episode. Don't worry when the time comes I will be predicting that fight. Despite not being a Naruto fan, Orochimaru is one of my favorite characters.

I'm obviously a huge fan of Soul Eater for so many reasons. Medusa is hands down one of my favorite Soul Eater characters. I am also a huge fan of snakes do is my wife. Which to me became clear this was the perfect choice for an Halloween Edition Death Battle blog. I am honored to be covering such a close fight.

Medusa's Vectors can do several things during a fight too. Which meant getting up close to her was a horrible idea to begin with. Medusa can also has access to mind manipulation that got used on her own child Crona. This led to his insanity to clarify so it is possible Medusa can manipulate Orochimaru when he loses it.

One more thing. there are clear differences between weekly manga series to those monthly manga series. Shonen Jump in particular doesn't take time to fully explain things that greatly get blown out of proportions. Most monthly series takes the time to explain everything to prevent confusing or that reaction altogether.

Also just imagine you have to put out an chapter in Japan every single week except for breaks. Now that's a lot of chapters within an year compared to a standard monthy series. You usually get one longer chapter per a month. But the story itself remains more constant in comparison. Let's be honest stuff like Naruto or Bleach had terrible endings.

Death Battle haven't used characters from both styles before. No Aang vs. Edward Elric doesn't count since Aang came from a cartoon that has some anime inspiration. My point is I already know those used to weekly mangas to those monthly mangas have a different general audience. Obviously we all have different takes but this fight really needs to happen soon.

Why is Freddy Krueger my favorite slasher?

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I finally get to do a blog I always wanted to do. It is no secret Freddy Krueger always has been my favorite horror movie slasher out of them all. Yes there's a lot of them that do come close including Chucky, Michael, Leprechaun and several others. But to me, Freddy always left a huge impression on me.

Keep in mind, I wrote a similar blog on Scream's Ghost Face. It's about damn time I finally show my passion for Freddy.

Freddy was eventually given a twisted humor side like Chucky. But majority of his movies involves a dead man haunting teenager's dreams. Essentially a place their parents can not protect them. He can manipulate to a degree that's truly terrifying. He can make anything including not possible things to happen while in the dream world.

Freddy had a rough past that quickly led to him becoming a serial killer. After taken to court to only be let go due to no one signed the warrant for his arrest. This caused the angry parents to hunting him down burning Freddy alive. Freddy is easily one of the most op slashers in all of horror movies. There isn't a lot of things beyond him making even covering such a topic difficult in it's own right.

I got a confession to make, I personally do not like A Nightmare on Elm Street 2. Not for the reasons you may think at first. Freddy's concept centers on killing teens in their sleep. But in this particular movie, a high school student named Jesse Walsh into manipulating him to murdering people. First off, this completely ignored the concept the late Wes Craven set in stone.

Second, possessing a high school student to killing people just doesn't seem like a Freddy movie. No Wes Craven's New Nightmare to me was way more of a true Freddy movie. Hell even the remake yes I'm going there stayed true to that concept making that ultimately better in my eyes. Yes I also watched the documentary on this franchise, I learned a great detail about the making of those movies.

The Simpsons in one of early Treehouse of Horror episodes does a parody of this franchise. Honestly even that was way better than the remake. Freddy is such an unique character for more than he can talk. He can virtually do anything in the dream world making him a god like being. Hell I'm going to state the obvious here.

For me, the definition Freddy experience is watching A Nightmare on Elm Street 3. Along with that, I recommend the original, Wes Craven's New Nightmare & Freddy vs. Jason. Now everything else with the possible exception of the remake & 2, I do like to a degree. For example Freddy's Dead is more of a horror comedy than a proper Freddy movie.

I haven't seen many horror movies that reminds me of it except one called The Funny Man with the late Christopher Lee. Trust me, that movie is way more entertaining. Freddy got to be in two follow up cross over comics with Ash from Evil Dead continuing after the event of Freddy vs. Jason. When they done that movie, it's been years since in horror we gotten anything remotely close to Frankenstein meets the Wolfman.

Obviously it was a huge deal at the time for many reasons. Freddy kept appearing in places you just won't expect including an Halloween episode of The Goldbergs. Robert Englund has done Freddy so many times in his life time, it's mind blowing. Beyond these movies, he also cameo as the character in an intro to Treehouse of Horror episode.

He also reprises the role in Mortal Kombat 9 as a dlc character that does reference the movies. No disrespect to Haley Earle Haley, he is a great actor. I thought he did try with such a poor attempt on the franchise. I just wish people stop criticizing his performance, it never was his fault it bombed the way it did.

Freddy also made some jokes especially in Freddy's Dead like the famous Power Glove reference. Which by the way because they made a replica of that you can buy without talking to Nintendo led to a lawsuit. So that particular joke, Nintendo didn't take kindly to. To be fair, Freddy's Dead was like turning the Looney Tunes into a horror movie.

Oh wait nooooooo The Banana Splits movie. Sorry to get a little off topic but I finally breaking my peace about it here. I remember watching several reruns growing up of that show. Then I found out about that movie, I got angry. I got more upset when I found out, it was suppose to be a Five Nights at Freddy's movie.

Honestly Freddy's Dead is a better movie even if I don't get to watch The Banana Splits movie. I also noticed beyond the second Freddy movie, Freddy was killing fewer people. I don't know if that was budget or limitations on special effects or they didn't have the time or trying making the movies shorter.

What I do know is Freddy in not so great movies stands out. Maybe not having the best lines but hey it's Robert Englund in majority of those. Freddy always delivered some original deaths for the most part. Some of my personal favorite kills are in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 alone. I felt the character stands out in many ways I can't fully explain or people already said enough times so I don't have to.

Which is the better adaptation of Stephen King's IT?

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, it's been awhile since I made a blog like this. Hopefully I will get to see Pet Sematary remake soon. I really want to cover this as well but for right now it's time for IT. One of the leading examples of the fear of clowns in history. Regardless if it was the book, the mini series or the movies.

We all can agree that Pennywise is absolutely terrifying as a being. Easily one of the most op horror icons I ever heard of. Honestly just doing a blog on Stephen King alone is justice enough but doing such needed ones for my long list of blogs is even better. IT follows the story of a bunch of outcast kids that band together against a mysterious threat terrorizing their town.

I will be breaking this up into several categories. Keep in mind, both the mini series & the movies are done in two parts. So to help prevent confusion I will be calling IT mini series instead of 1990 version. After all, it has been edited to being a made for TV movie in some releases. But it still isn't technically a movie while the actual movies are well movies.

Round 1: The Losers Club

Honestly just doing Part 1 of both adaptations is very close. Both of them had a great selection of actors portraying their respective characters. Obviously, some changes were done for the mini series to allow it to air on TV. Despite this, I felt this actually came down to Part 2 of both their adaptations. I won't sugar coat this, the cast for Part 2 of the mini series wasn't great.

Yes they had some great actors but they just didn't make us fully believe it was them grown up. Also due to the fact the mini series got rushed from being in three parts to just two didn't help things. Honestly the book from what I know can be very confusing since it kept going back & forward with the characters on the stuff that happened.

I also felt the direction of the first IT movie keeping it mostly focused on their younger selves was a smart move. IT: Chapter 2 did allow some flashback scenes but I felt most of these were necessary. Also the actors alone was perfectly selected for that movie. Not only that, they nailed their characters picture perfect in comparison.

For me, just because of how obviously it truly is. I strongly felt The Losers Club in the movies is way better. Not only that, some of the best actors for the mini series was in the first part anyway. You really can't blame how this played out. I just felt one was given time to blossom while the others quickly died out from lack of water.

Winner: IT movie series

Round 2: Pennywise

Truthfully this was way harder than I was expecting this to be. Both actors Tim Curry & Bill Skarsgard knocked it out of the park with their performances. Honestly both of them gives us a terrifying take on the character. Let's be honest, in most scenes you are likely to get freaked out. Sadly once again Part 2 of the mini series did deliver some bad moments.

Like he suddenly steps from behind Henry with a vicious dog head attacking a security guard. I felt they could've given us a bit more satisfying than that. I mean come on, Pennywise mauls a grown man like a dog is palm stupid. Also there is how both Part 2 of their adaptations that ends we have to discuss.

I should mention Curry's portrayal uses a several different colored balloons while Skarsgard's only used red balloons. Curry's take also more directly used balloons in weird ways. I do like the movies gave us a perfect idea how truly terrifying Pennywise is. You can see how close this category alone was for me right?

Yes spoilers I am about to talk about major changes during the endings. In the mini series, Pennywise transforms into a stupid looking crab like spider creature I'm not kidding. But in IT: Chapter 2, Pennywise has a few insect parts while being a giant. I felt that worked way better than well that lol. You do get to see a lot of Pennywise especially in both IT movies.

Sure I wasn't a fan of Skarsgard's voice at first but it grew on me. Obviously Tim Curry went the extra mile by allowing his real hair to grow out for the character. To me, Curry looks more like an actual clown thus making him scarier. But Skarsgard looks scarier in looking more ancient in comparison.

Skarsgard also can move his eyes in a weird way that actually creep an interviewer out. Funny enough, IT movie came twenty seven years after the mini series. Obviously Skarsgard had more special effects used on his portray. I felt majority of them works well enough to get the job done. I actually felt Pennywise in Part 2 of the mini series was better than the actual cast I'm not kidding.

This came down to some unneeded Pennywise moments in the mini series. Also that stupid spider alone gave it to IT movies. Pennywise like Freddy Krueger can become whatever terrifies you. I felt their movie battle together even played out better than that of the mini series truthfully. Not even Tim Curry could save it.

Winner: Bill Skarsgard

Final Round: Source Material

I got a confession, I actually didn't get to read this book but it is in my Stephen King book collection. I do know a lot of moments are present in both versions. I'm sure there's people who are actually willing to directly break it down. I will just say this, both IT movies was taking a lot more from the actual book.

A good number of things got removed from the mini series due to not being allowed, didn't have the money or got rushed from three parts to simply being two. Regardless, it simply missing too much to win here. I felt both IT movies really took time to take so much from the book. To clarify, IT is still one of the author's longest books.

In fact, IT is one of the select few Stephen King books to have over a thousand pages. So in this regard, IT movies got way more respect from me. Honestly most moments, they shared simply had a bigger impact on me from those movies rather than the mini series. I am not truthfully trying to give the mini series a bad reputation.

There is a good amount of it I do like but not nearly as much as those movies. We get more Pennyise in both IT movies as well. I also liked more personal details simply excluded from the mini series are also present. Like they directly reveal more about the sexuality of several characters or Pennywise's origins.

Honestly, I really can't over look the mini series missing too much. Now if this were the case of The Shining. Sure the movie did so little from the book but ends up being more satisfying to watch. So clearly IT mini series not capturing that is a huge mistake. They had room to alter a few details while keeping it close to the book to spice things up that would've flied back then.

Winner: IT movies
