I had a gut feeling majority was going to vote this into the show. Let's be honest, there's plenty of great reasons. The episode simply happened too soon before they had a solid research set up in place. Also not to add salt to Ben's animating skills, it was among his worst. I actually felt majority of them were surprisingly decent in comparison.
At the time of the original episode, I played three Halo games. I was barely scratching the surface Doom wise. Over the years I was getting more into Doom, easily my favorite FPS franchise ever!!! I already left Halo behind following beating Halo 3 in disappointment. I will try to leave as much bias out as inhumanly possible.
Verdict
Doomslayer
Sure Master Chief is a rather impressive soldier. He was capable of winning against two armies. Especially when the odds were against him. Sadly that's just child's play for his opponent. Doomslayer possibly has more overall experience. Time is a weird factor due to him constantly going between a few plains of existence.
Master Chief would have fewer weapons on him than Doomslayer. Not to mention, Doomslayer has notably more ammo in comparison as well. Now I know this wouldn't matter if Master Chief's armor simply nopes em. Well Doomslayer has weapons his armor can't protect him from. They are notably more supernatural weapons with a few experimental ones.
BFG by itself simply too much for him to survive. This weapon could kill more powerful demons like Cyber Demon in a few shots. Yes I know there's another variation of it called Tyrants. He even destroyed enemies capable of summoning other enemies. Such as the Icon of Sin and the Mother Demon respectively.
Doomslayer destroyed possibly millions of demons in comparison to how many we could confirm Master Chief slayed. There's a chance both could be given their AI helpers. I don't think it would matter much. It's debatable how much information available on Doomslayer. This by itself would put Master Chief constantly on guard.
Obviously both wear armors while going into battles. We can argue Doomslayer being the tougher character. He tanked notably greater levels of force to what likely could kill Master Chief. It's even safe to say Master Chief despite his enhancements possibly more human. It turns out Doomslayer based on Davoth aka Dark Lord.
The supreme ruler of Hell virtually the devil in Doom universe. Doomslayer always the one person stopping Hell. By this point I'm simply adding to why he easily wins this fight. He's willing to rip apart demons and other supernatural beings with his hands. Even comparing one of these is notably more strength than Master Chief ever shown.
We could argue a few possible advantages Master Chief has. Cortana more likely to assist Master Chef than Vega for Doomslayer. He's more of a tactical fighter than the more brutal straight hit & run kill strategy. He does have more notable defense options. Although we still haven't brought up power ups.
Yes both of them has a few similar power ups. Doomslayer has an berserk powerup that heals him fully but also increases his fist's force to easily kill some weaker demons. Considering Doomslayer is notably much faster. This could be game changing by itself. Also it's possible for Doomslayer to survive a few plasma grenades.
I'm sorry one plasma grenade can't kill this guy. Yes I'm looking at you Ben!!! Master Chief also more used to working with squads. Of course, he's got enough experience to carry out missions on his own too. I actually felt he has more of a shot against Duke Nukem than Doomslayer. Even there I also had to go with the King on this one.
Even Serious Sam would be too much for Master Chief. Hey I can keep going with FPS characters that destroys Master Chief. Doomslayer in all honestly destroys in stats. Removing weapons altogether, Doomslayer capable of destroying Master Chief's armor with his hands. Not only that, he has plenty of things Master Chief lacks a solid counter for.
He possibly has more overall experience. Also fighting on a few planets as well as several plains of existence. Ultimately means wherever this fight takes place, Doomslayer adapts to it much faster. Are we sure this guy isn't an Saiyan? Master Chief simply can't handle Doomslayer on his own. Here's an example I think hits home the best.
Just imagine an army of Master Chiefs. Sure several wars would've ended much sooner than expected. Now imagine an army of Doomslayers, there wouldn't be any wars!!! Just one guy taking on Hell mostly on his own is a rather impressive feat. I could argue it's rare when he gets help. But most of the time, Doomslayer fights like no tomorrow usually slaying demons!!!
Sure we could limit what both of them could use. To be honest though I still see Doomslayer winning the more gladiator style version of this fight too. Also no powerups would've been included either to make it fair. Master Chief is an amazing enhanced soldier. He simply can't handle the unstoppable force known as Doomslayer!!!
