New Saints Row ranking

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I finally got to experience Saints Row 2 without codes. Thanks to both Volition & Microsoft for temporary making Saints Row 2 free on Xbox One or Xbox 360. I played this on Xbox One, I'm ready to give a new ranking of this beloved franchise. Just know this will be done differently because I'll explain why I place em in their respective spots.

5. Saints Row: Gat out of Hell

Let's get what wasn't great or could've been more. There's virtually no customization at all. Which is one of the biggest things it has over Grand Theft Auto series. There is no music on car radios. Well let me clarify something technically there is for random NPCs driving around. But when you get in their vehicles, the radios goes silent.

This has the shortest campaign including story in the entire franchise. Now I know this is suppose to be a stand alone expansion to Saints Row 4. At least, that gave me a lot more for my money. They even parodied Disney for a short while. Although, I liked the cut scenes were presented differently to better match the theme.

The endings are too short, lackluster & too easy to get em all. The game actually will rush you out of no where to take on Satan. Thankfully you can go there when you're ready. The campaign is only a few hours with not many missions. Only one real boss being Satan himself in the entire game. I do liked you can play as both Gat and Kinzie.

I also liked both of them have exclusive collectibles. Sadly, this game barely focuses on her at all. She had a much stronger presence in both The Third as well as 4. It is very easy to get every activity done on gold medals too. I done the entire process a few times to know that very well. Although, you get some powers from 4 with a few new ones.

It just doesn't feel like a complete experience like 4 given us prior. I loved most new weapons especially my personal favorite. I kid you not this is a real weapon/vehicle in the game. Armchair-A-Geddon is representing the sin Sloth. This has to be one of the most ridiculous weapons I ever seen in a video game without question.

To me, it felt like this could've had more in most categories. We are talking about a crazy organization that defeated an alien empire taking on Hell itself. I also liked Insurance Fraud is now called Torment Fraud to better match the theme. Some vehicle diversions are very frustrating to finish for 100% completion process.

4. Saints Row

There is a handful of safe houses. Unlike 2 to up, you can only manual save at set locations. I will say this is still a solid early Xbox 360 game. After playing SR2 recently, I felt a few changes could've made it even better. To clarify I am not suggesting it sucks, it is way better than both GTA IV overall and GTA V.

Yes folks I just said that moving on. Some activities will be more difficult than in later games. The story itself is well written or way better than Gat out of Hell's. You can only play as a male character. The customization alone greatly makes up for it. I felt they did a great job with the overall content present here.

Saints Row was a great entry to a franchise that was inspired by GTA series. To me personally, it will always be more amazing as well as more fun to replay. GTA series never done great with side missions including rewards for completing them. Thank god, Saints Row delivers in giving you nice surprises.

You also can switch between each gang missions you want to do. For example, you could be stuck on a particular mission. You know you need a break but refuse to stop playing. As long you got the other gangs around, you got other missions. In the case you don't, there's always activities to do or find collectibles.

3. Saints Row 4

Let's be honest to take a game this ridiculous seriously is very difficult. The story is you are now the President of the United States that takes on an alien warlord named Zinyak. You have to fight through simulations of yourself as well as other characters. The references to many pop culture things makes this a fun game.

Everyone knows How the Saints Saved Christmas is hands down the best dlc. Maybe the very best dlc this franchise ever released I'm not kidding. Some of my favorite weapons are in this game too. Although having super powers does remove having to drive vehicles or not having em in other simulations.

I strongly felt there's a lot of creativity here. Hell I'll say another statement I really don't plan on taking back. I really enjoyed Saints Row 4 way more than the campaign of GTA V. Yes you just heard it from the horse's mouth. Some of my favorite vehicles are also in this as well. Some of my favorite songs ever are present here too.

I felt this had some of the funniest jokes yet. Yes having super powers making getting an 100% completion noticeably easier. A few activities still take me a while to get a gold medal on. Sure, the map is slightly smaller than The Third's. I still felt it used the map way better than GTA V. Sorry Rockstar fans, by default way too much of the map doesn't get use in any possible way.

I am already aware of the online mode for GTA V coughs Saints Row rip off I mean online service. This game has attitude I actually respect. It does get very ridiculous the more of it you'll play. At the same time especially during a first play through, you'll quickly get more curious how much more lol. Saints Row 4 is actually my favorite game of this series, it still not my number 1 choice.

2. Saints Row 2

This took Saints Row then made it even better. Some even considered it one of the greatest video games ever made. It greatly improved in areas the original Saints Row felt short in. You can save anytime you want. More safe houses this time around. Better overall rewards to keep bringing you back or replay it all over again.

Saints Row 2 may came after GTA IV prior to it's two related games. I strongly way more impressed by Saints Row 2. They made everything a much more enjoyable experience. Like doing activities is a little more forgiving. You get some of the greatest missions in this franchise ever. I also liked they had a secret story mission to revealed the truth about what happened to your character.

This also had two story dlcs which I don't own prior to writing this. I do plan on getting them very soon though. This also was the very multiple platform release. Sadly the PC port is actually the worst Saints Row game I ever played. Yes it even makes Gtat out of Hell way better than it actually is. Although, the team did promised us fans it will be fixed.

This game given us a couple boss fights this time around. I also liked how the map is notably bigger. The achievements are more fun than those in the original. Honestly, this is one of those must play games before you die. Truthfully, this game was simply more than a home run. Imagine three loaded bases then a home run four players got home.

1. Saints Row: The Third

For me, this was a difficult decision. But Saints Row: The Third is hands down the best Saints Row game. I strongly felt this is very strong in every category. They took the respect system then made it into a leveling system genius. You get a lot of plenty great stuff on the way. I highly recommend you do every activity with a gold medal.

I am aware some of those can be frustrating to do. Trust me, you need to see how more awesome this game gets. You also get some of the nicest save houses yet. Some of my favorite mechanics also got introduced in this game. There's two endings that are greatly different experiences from each other. I loved you can get ridiculous with weapon customization.

They made it even easier later on to get more money. Originally, you had to go to one of your safe houses. Then look for the money icon to collect money. Now you directly get wired the money. This process happens more often making getting upgrades for things much quicker. Some impressive game play variety as well.

Although two particular dlcs are heavily disliked. I do liked majority of them with The Trouble with Clones being my favorite. Thanks to this game, the ridiculousness got much higher in the following game. I should mention The 3rd Street Saints are no longer a street gang but a corporation. Their rivals are also corporations working together to attempt wiping out the Saints.

Some of my favorite activities are also introduced here. Some of the older ones like Insurance Fraud is even more fun to replay. You get a lot of nice stuff even if you got Unlockables Pack working on PC version. For those that doesn't know prior to it's release. A few key points you have to choose which reward you want.

There was no other way around it meaning once chosen you can't choose again or gain both. Unless you installed Unlockables Pack that virtually said screw that you can have it all. Some of these rewards are ridiculous lol. I felt every minute from the beginning right up to both endings is very enjoyable experience.

This game took what I already loved then made it more awesome as well as comical. This is when Saints Row started to go more comical to help differ itself from the more serious, realistic GTA series. Saints Row: The Third is a fantastic game that I really highly recommend. More noticeable differences among your enemies.

Personally, I really don't have anything major enough to complain about. This game is beautifully well made. It easily blows even GTA III era games away. Yes even GTA: San Andreas included. This game made it so unique & refreshing. I can't name any games other than later Saints Row games are similar to this.

Saints Row: The Third is one of the absolute greatest video game sequels I had the pleasure of playing multiple times. Clearly, they do care about their fan base. You can upload your custom characters to their website or download someone else's. They even made customization on characters funny in many ways.
