Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, people are quickly throwing out beliefs that Chapter 17 in Dead by Daylight might also be license. Now I will make this post as short as well as the more direct as humanly possible. Just want to point out, end of the day what you're about to read is entirely my opinion alone.
My prediction
Pennywise from IT
Let's examine what we already know. They attempted going for Pennywise before to get turned down. This led to the creation of The Clown. Someone recently did a Q&A session with one of them. Pennywise was among killers they confirmed along with some other huge request killers. Each major appearance of this character was a leading factor to those afraid of clowns.
This was directly supported by the creation of The Clown himself. Although, the new Candyman movie is hitting theaters in September. Both IT movies hit theaters in September as well. According to some people looking into this new file. I'm only focusing on the two costumes part. It is likely Pennywise will have two major looks with the classic mini series costume in the store.
Also, everyone knows Pennywise has a long list of forms he's taken in all canons. This by itself would deeply support having more than two possible outfits. Pennywise is also one of the biggest requests the team ever had. There does exist a VR IT game that does have Pennywise. Also, the team has been going for still popular, big horror franchises.
Stephen King is one of the biggest horror writers of all time. Even if they are strictly going for IT, partnering up with the legend himself is a smart move. Pennywise also would freak people out since he could represent any form of fear. In a sense in the dream world, Freddy Krueger can do that as well.
Yet The Entity had to force him to bend to it's will. I would be curious to see if The Entity had to do the same with Pennywise or they made a deal instead. Let's be honest, the mobile version had an add on that was sorta a reference to IT. Pennywise is an ancient entity who dates back to the beginning of time true story.
Pennywise has a lot of powers with a good amount of them performed differently by other killers. Which does further support the fact, they are really trying to fully bring him into their game. I am going out on a limb, if it's another license chapter. I will stick with Pennywise being my guess. Honestly, I felt he brings way more than any other horror icon possibly could.
Prediction of how they would go about him
The Shape Shifter
He would have a perk to temporary disable survivors by using the dead lights. He also could have another perk to transform into a different form for a short brief of time. Like if the regular form is slow possibly sluggish. He could do a faster form that has a longer attack range. I also imagine his mori being getting impaled then face gets chewed up.
It is likely his map would be the sewers since they haven't done the sewers yet. Also recreating the town wouldn't fit their theme that well. I could see Pennywise being terrifying to a lot of people. Honestly, I deeply believe he will come to the game sooner or later. Possibly before Candyman, I have nothing against the character to clarify.
