My thoughts on Toy Story: Retro Roundup! and Toy Story 3: Complete Edition

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, Digital Eclipse announced many classic Toy Story games coming back. In order to tie in to Toy Story 5 hitting theaters soon. Despite some recent game compilations they done I'm willing to give them one more chance. Honestly, if they don't get rush again we could be given gold!!!

Toy Story: Retro Roundup! is a game compilation mostly of older Toy Story games. They were kind enough to add A Bug's Life game as well since all their respective films were by Pixar. Toy Story 3 Complete Edition is going to have include everything. Of course, both of these Toy Story games getting enhanced in a few ways.

I grew up with some of these movies. I even remembered Buzz Lightyear of Star Command cartoon show as well. I also grew up with Toy Story on Sega Genesis. For a few years until a few months ago I had Toy Story 2 on Nintendo 64. Digital Eclipse tries to get as many versions within game compilations as possible.

Traditionally majority of their game compilations on every major gaming platform. They usually pack in a lot of cool bonus stuff. I been wondering on and off for few months when these Toy Story games were coming back. Now we all know October 15th, yes that's for both Toy Story games. This could end up being their best Disney game compilation to date.

They previously done both The Disney Afternoon Collection and Disney Classic Games Collection respectively. The later was updated to have more games with even more bonus content. I been noticing some companies been bringing back games from PlayStation 1. One of them about to open a bigger door with emulation PlayStation 2 soon.

They also have a practice mode that's generous for newer players. They also including the cheats option like Beat 'Em Up Collection and Marvel MaXimum Collection. Six licensed movie games with some versions of the same games. This already looking better than Rugrats: Retro Rewind Collection. Toy Story 3 I heard was a decent movie game.

Originally a different game company was going to make the game. But their pitch to Disney was rejected. Which led to Avalanche Software developing the game instead. Pixar had a team of theirs to assist with making Toy Story 3. Most of the voice actors from the movie reprised their roles. There's a story mode along with Toy Box mode.

Toy Box mode lets you explore a western town. Essentially it's sandbox mode that does allow you to customize. Previously in PS3 version lets you play as Emperor Zurg. Now every version of the new version has Zurg by default. Every DLC automatically added is a nice touch. They also have a multiplayer mode which the newer trailers showcased.

You know Toy Story fans going to listen to the soundtracks in Toy Story: Retro Roundup! For me along with A Bug's Life game added. I wasn't expecting they bring back Toy Story Racer or Buzz Lightyear of Star Command game. Let's be honest, most people buying this won't know of either game.

In a way it would make up not giving us a newer version of The Disney Afternoon Collection. Which had two SNES licensed Disney games added. The older version lacks these two entirely confirmed by Digital Eclipse on social media. They are giving us this much Toy Story I'm happy with that.

I don't know if they going to do a bundle deal with these two Toy Story games digitally. Physically already confirmed to be happening though. Adding in Toy Story 3: Complete Edition. You're getting six Toy Story games with a couple other versions. I guess the chest getting very filled by now.

Assuming either does well I'm hoping Digital Eclipse ends up being the company. Possibly finally do an retro Batman game compilation. To be fair if Limited Run Games doing it, there's a huge chance they'll directly make the collection themselves. But if I see any teams not them that released a few game compilations this year doing it no sir I'm not buying!!!

I'm expecting there to be a ridiculous amount of bonus content to keep you busy for hours. Especially for people who really into the franchise. Suddenly Toy Story 5 going to be much sweeter with these on the way. From what I seen from the trailers I think both going to be very decent. These going to become a new awesome way to get into the franchise.

Not only that they also could open the door for more classic franchises to come back soon. I do think there's a lot of potential for greatness here. I'm not entirely sure which one I'm more excited for? I already added both of them to my wish list. At this point I'm hoping neither gets rushed out. Also I'm hoping they may get onto GOG in the near future.
