Why I see Dead Rising series as a spiritual successor to Zombies Ate My Neighbors?

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, before I get to today's topic. I want to give a quick shout to Tuned-Out Games for making their own spiritual successor to ZAMN calledd Demons Ate My Neighbors!. I want to give them as much support I can possibly give. Even if I'm not able to give em money.

Now, I been thinking on and off for years. How there isn't many games like Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Honestly, for years that game left a major impact on me. It was truly puzzling me until I play Dead Rising on Xbox 360. I quickly became a huge fan of that franchise. Despite none of the developers on all Dead Rising teams never worked on ZAMN or it's sequel Ghoul Patrol.

This is a different usage of the term spiritual successor. Where these games are strikingly similar in many ways. Now I know I previously covered this in another blog. But this is going to be more of an in-depth point of view. I really got my hands full alone on what to talk about. I think the easiest part is what both franchises has in common.

https://jackred1989.blogspot.com/2019/10/how-similar-is-capcoms-dead-rising-to.html

+Way more enemies on screen at least

Funny enough, both franchises died after a particular game. Ghoul Patrol & Dead Rising 4 respectively on a lot of the same reasons. Another interesting piece of trivia is due to ZAMN being on Virtual Console for Nintendo Wii. It is technically the only platform officially to have both franchises present.

The humor is mostly within the game play itself. Dead Rising 3 fully went nuts with a particular dlc tribute to all things Capcom. There's also Dead Rising 4 with Capcom Heroes mode. Which is virtually the campaign without the Exosuits. Trust me, this is the best version of the campaign by far.

To me, it felt like Dead Rising series was meant to continue the legacy ZAMN started. No one else had the balls to do prior to that. I do praise Tuned-Out Games for their DAMN!, hopefully next year or so it'll be out. Honestly, this franchise was a major breath of fresh air to me. I am not saying DAMN! got major shoes to fill here.

I am just saying Dead Rising series is the closest thing we possibly ever gotten to ZAMN. Even more so than Hercs' Adventures which had the original ZAMN team. Dead Rising gotten three different movies too. Two of which are part of the game canon. Thus taking a page from Resident Evil series, yes both of them are Capcom survival horror franchises I know.

The very essence of what ZAMN so great does live on within Dead Rising series. Even as much to it's very core. Dead Rising series has it's fair share of it's ups & downs. Every franchise has those otherwise something's not right here. ZAMN is still one of the most recommended games to play on Halloween to this day.

Jack Red reviews Streets of Kamurocho and Golden Axed

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, Sega within a week was releasing free mini games to help celebrate their 60th anniversary. The later two really caught my attention. I'm a life long Streets of Rage fan as well as an Golden Axe fan. Of course, I had to try these mini games out myself. Now this is strictly my opinion alone.

Streets of Kamurocho is a parody mess up between Yakuza and Streets of Rage series. You play as Kiryu or Majima or Ichiban whose the hidden character. Now this does play similar to rom hacks with different characters. But it still was refreshing to play this. One weird joke they done is each character gets a different reaction to the sword.

Majima simply gets the sword while for Kiryu it transforms into a traffic cone or for Ichiban a wooden plank. This is one stage that endlessly loops until you lose. It does seem to get harder each round you're playing. I felt despite replaying the first stage of SOR2 repeatedly. I loved how they replaced characters with those from Yakuza series.

Personally, I felt they could've went a little further. This is a short game that's surprisingly fun to keep playing. Overtime, it likely could get boring or faster to those not fans of the genre. This was a fun concept that deserved some praise. For a free game that's new it's one of the better free games I gotten in a long time.

Golden Axed is a more interesting game to talk about. This was a prototype of a cancelled Golden Axe game. Which was suppose to lead up to more reboots of Sega franchises like Streets of Rage or Shinobi. Sadly, that division making the game closed down back in 2013. A year following Sega Vintage Collection: Golden Axe.

You play as Ax Battler taking on a handful of enemies. Some beat em ups doesn't change the enemies up much. Yet remain enjoyable games in their own right. Also considering this is a cancelled game I can't criticize it in that regard even if I wanted to. A few spoilers, Death Adder cameo I absolutely loved it.

There is no actual boss fight in this at all. There is magic but no additional potions you can pick up. The game will roughly end to go right back to the main menu which isn't much of one. I absolutely love the title for this, easily one of my favorite things about this. I kinda wish the one stage was a bit longer.

Maybe this is just me but the stage seem shorter than the one in Streets of Kamurocho. Honestly, I'm glad Sega done something for Golden Axe on this particular anniversary. Sure it would've been nice to have something for Shinobi but this is fine. The game itself looks way better than 3D remake of Golden Axe as well as Golden Axe: Beast Rider.

This prototype was great on how it controls which was another surprise I wasn't expecting. Some of it's members came back to make this possible for Sega's 60th Anniversary. There is no creatures to ride on in this game. Can I be brutally honest? I actually prefer this over 3D remake of Golden Axe & Golden Axe III.

I felt the difficulty curve was balanced. It actually looks great for that franchise. There wasn't much music presented though. Which might turn some people off. Especially those who absolutely love the original Golden Axe game. There isn't much depth for this. Streets of Kamurocho had an hidden character with the weird weapon joke going for them.

Golden Axed is a cancelled game that had strict conditions. Sega was desperate getting their stuff together but were rushing to do so. This is something that happens at times in game companies. Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed the dwarf whose my favorite among the original playable character isn't presented here.

I would say it's worth seeing at least once. Beyond that it's not likely going to have more runs. It is much easier to do that in Streets of Kamurocho's case. I would say it's not the best Golden Axe game. I would even say Golden Axe II has many things over it. But it is far much better from the worst cancelled games I ever played.

Jack Red reviews Spyro Reignited Trilogy

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I missed out on Spyro series on PlayStation 1. I was heavily around Crash series on the same console. I can't say I had any real exposure to Spyro until playing Spyro Reignited Trilogy. I would bring up a demo or the time I went to a friend's house who was playing one of them. I don't recall which Spyro game he was playing though.

Just like Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Activision comes back the following year with Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Essentially the PS1 Spyro trilogy remastered in one game compilation. Honestly, I didn't have much to go on. My wife isn't a fan of Crash but she absolutely loved Spyro. Also the original developers eventually went on to making Ratchet & Clank series.

I only finished the first two Ratchet & Clank games many years ago. Spyro is a vastly different experience from Crash series. You get multiple hits before dying. Thankfully, you can attack small creatures that transforms into butterflies for your dragonfly friend to eat. It was a clever idea making his condition as your health bar.

I personally loved on the game selection screen, all three games' current completion percentages are presented. This is very helpful for those who love going all the way to completing these games to their fullest. Spyro the Dragon involved you rescuing trapped dragons. Originally due to hardware limitations as well as time restricts.

Most dragons looked somewhat similar to each other. Thank god, all of them looks very different. In fact, this alone was a high light of this version of the game. All three games does also give you the option to being able to switch sound tracks. Not only that, in Spyro 1 you also collect dragon eggs from thieves.

In Spyro 2, there's different collectibles such as the orbs that could get Spyro back home. You also need to collect talismans in order to stop Ripto. In Spyro 3, dragon eggs becomes your second biggest collectible in the game. I also liked both Spyro 2 & Spyro 3, you get more direct help from other characters.

I also liked the humor displayed in these games similar to Rare with their N64 platformers. Excluding Conker's Bad Fur Day for many reasons. Spyro is a small purple dragon that has to help others from three different tyrants. I really liked in this compilation's cover you actually get to see all three of them.

You can almost place them in a triangle I'm not kidding. Obviously Dr. Neo Cortex was the final boss of Crash trilogy games. I very quickly got pulled into these worlds. It sorta reminds me I dare to say Banjo-Kazooie? Yeah, there are some similarities. In fact, if enough people are interested. I might do a more proper comparison with Banjo-Kazooie with Spyro trilogy.

Anyway, you get to keep every gem in the original Spyro. But in both Spyro 2 & Spyro 3, there's a greedy bear named Moneybags whose will force you to paying him a lot of gems. Even for small things like how to swim or how to climb up ladders. Honestly, what a prick this guy is. He even makes a small reference about Sonic himself.

You can tell each Spyro game adds more variety to the overall experience. Sure I can also say that about Crash trilogy as well. Not to upset Crash fans, I felt slightly more of those worked better in Spyro trilogy. Honestly, I do like you can easily tell what to do for the most part. At the same time being new to these like myself was such an eye opener.

Unlike Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, some of the original actors reprise their roles. I have heard complaints some characters sounded better in the original PS1 games. But hey what can you do right? I also liked how the controls even with a handful of issues still gets the job done. It's more surprising that this compilation has more achievements/trophies than Crash trilogy does.

Spyro has a lot of levels within their respective hub worlds. I should mention how they go about getting to the bosses is different between the three Spyro games. Originally, you could go directly into a boss level. Then in Spyro 2, you must collect all the talismans or enough orbs to unlock the boss levels.

This is slightly done differently in Spyro 3 where getting on a vehicle with a handful of characters surrounding it. Actually takes you directly to the bosses. Yeah in Spyro 2, you still have to go find where the boss levels are. This is more different than Crash trilogy I'm not kidding. Spyro is a lot of fun to watch as well as to play as.

I felt some of the additional characters in Spyro 3. Each one brings a different game play style. Sparx aka your dragonfly is done in a retro shooter style. Shelia comes off as a mix between beat em up & a platformer. Sgt. Byrd comes off as a weapon's guy including a jetpack. Bentley's levels are a weird variety.

He usually comes off as a beat em up. Although, he does have a boxing theme level. I swear this is one of the shortest Spyro levels I ever played. Agent 9 plays like a third person shooter. Now that's interesting because Insomniac games later went on to making Ratchet and Clank series. Thus his levels are precursors to that series.

Your friend Hunter is playable in the bonus levels. Usually, in the first two Spyro games you only play as Spyro. He had to be included in those respective games' bound levels. It is interesting, someone else gets those instead. Some reviewers complaint about Spyro 3 offers too much content. The closest thing for the longest time I played this was Donkey Kong 64 on Nintendo 64.

Both 3D platformers has a handful of playable characters that all bring something else to the table. I highly felt if I were to do one massive PS1 vs. N64 comparison video. I probably would be crazy enough to do that. Anyway, Spyro series is such an experience. I highly doubt I could do it any justice. Even with dark moments, there's more than enough light moments.

More recently added from October 17th, 2020.

If you are an completionist, there's so much to go to keep you busy for hours. I got to say the soundtracks in all three games holds up amazingly well. There's a great variety of boss fights as well. Spyro cameos in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled with Hunter and Ghastly Gnorc as playable character  with their own track.

Considering Crash 4 surprised everyone, I wondered if we might get a new Spyro game. Especially, that franchise didn't fell as hard as Crash had. I may not be the person to truly know the original three PS1 games. I can see this from what I seen of both versions, this compilation is very faithful to the source material.

It is incredibly fun to explore even in levels with enemies that's difficult to avoid or take out. I should mention, I bought the then new big bundle with Crash N. Sane Trilogy & Nitro-Fueled included while on sell. I also got on sell, Ultimate Sonic Bundle that isn't as great as this bundle. These games gives you more than enough reasons to love Spyro.

Clearly a lot of love for the games as well as it's fan base are shown here. I felt they really knocked this out of the park. Although, I would say this is actually better than N. Sane Trilogy. I grew up closely to that franchise which is why I'm a bigger fan of N. Sane Trilogy in the first place. But you really couldn't go wrong with either compilations here.

Spyro is more fantasy with some clever usage of game play mechanics. It actually does skate boarding better than most newer Tony Hawk games. Funny enough, Activision done Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 more recently. It is likely some PS1 games could be getting this treatment in the near future. Personally, I was very surprised how much I enjoyed these games.

Jack Red reviews the extra forty (fake) Genesis games from AtGames Genesis models

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I already reviewed two AtGames Genesis models. All that's left to do as painful, wasting time it may be. I'm going out of my way to review all the extra forty Genesis games included. Oh okay, by now we all know those games aren't even real Genesis games. There's plenty of real ones they could've pulled from.

Keep in mind, the line up I'm doing is from their Mortal Kombat Edition. Which sadly lacks Streets of Rage trilogy. Now, these games are mostly terrible with a good number being poor educational games. If I wanna learn something I have the internet or meet up with someone than playing these. Even if these were considered actual Genesis games, I think AVGN himself would put most of these in his top tier of his shitty games ranking system.

The line up of bad games I'm reviewing today are as followed below...

1. Air Hockey

2. Adventure in the Park

3. Black Sheep

4. Bomber

5. Bottle Taps Race

6. Brain Switch

7. Bubbles Master

8. Break the Fireline

9. Cannon

10. Checker

11. Chess

12. Cross the Road

13. Curling 2010

14. Dominant Amber

15. Fight or Lose

16. Flash Memory

17. Hexagonos

18. Hide and Seek

19. Hidden Agenda

20. Jack's Pea

21. Jewel Magic

22. Jura Formula

23. Lost World Sudoku

24. Mahjong Solitaire

25. Meatloaf Rotation

26. Mega Brain Switch

27. Memory

28. Mirror Mirror

29. Mr Balls

30. Mya Master Wind

31. Naval Power

32. Panic Lift

33. Plumbing Contest

34. Skeleton Scale

35. Snake

36. Spider

37. T-Rex Memory Match

38. Wall Breaking

39. Whack a Wolf

40. Yawning Triceratops

A lot of these are poor educational games with similar rules. Some of them differ but the general concept remains the same. A lot of them also are rip off of other games. For example, Bomber is a rip off of Bomberman series. Some of their titles isn't even representing the actual game meaning they're misleading.

If you seen the back of the boxes their products come in. All of these games I'm reviewing are actually given smaller pictures to represent them on the back. They done this to make it more difficult to see what you're actually getting in hopes you ended up buying one of their products. A handful of these are weird puzzle games.

The perfect example that also so happens to have the best title among all those games. I present you with Mr Balls lol I'm not kidding. They actually have a game called Mr Balls included in this. A large number of them largely deals with amounts or numbers in general. Let's be honest, most of this are educational dumpster fire waiting to happen.

Even going by the audio, you can clearly tell none of these were actually designed for Sega Genesis in mind. All of them sound like old PC games from the late 70s. The simple fact even the basics in every game not done well is a great warning sign to not get one of these. The games with AI opponents are largely unbalanced as well.

You can tell most of these weren't designed to be actual games you beat. No they are just a huge waste of space if anything else. Very few of them does something just not well executed at all. I could even say just going by AVGN's Cheetahmen episode more directly Action 52 on Sega Genesis is better than this.

Some exclusive deals they used to do involves getting an extra cartridge with more of these games no thanks. Thank god, they wasn't as much of that on their Sega Genesis Flashback. Which I do not own but I am well aware what's included in that. Obviously, go buy yourself a great Genesis game compilation or Sega Genesis Mini.

These games are likely much smaller than actual Genesis game size on cartridges. Which is pretty pathetic they attempted to cheat us Sega fans like this. They even have games based on stuff that shouldn't be games like Lost World Sudoku. Now Sudoku is a memory test on paper to see how often can you do new number orders without a single one repeating in any way.

I personally felt that really wouldn't work for an video game no offense. A handful of these games are altered variations of each other. The perfect example being Mega Brain Switch adds two additional things to know while playing. If you struggled badly in the other one, this one really won't be holding your hand at all.

Very few of them are slightly fun for a few seconds before boredom kicks in. Not a great sign to have in video games. The controls are very limited in majority of these games. The handful that actually deals with hit detection is terrible. AtGames went up & beyond to insult us Sega fans with this. I can't even pick the best out of the worst since none of them stands out just enough to do so.

Two of these games deals with Chess done a bit differently. I rather deal with The 7th Guest as well as it's sequel The 11th Hour's chess puzzles than this. Bottle Taps Race is easily the most boring racing game I personally had the displeasure of playing. Of course, you could be playing with those terrible wireless Genesis controllers to make all of this much worse.

If you paid eighty for one of them, half that total worth is great. They usually pick a great selection of real Genesis games. At times, they do change parts of the order up. Sadly, the other half of it is just a waste. Forty dollars out of eighty goes right down the drain. If you couldn't get any real way to play Sega Genesis games.

In other words forced to torture yourself with one of these. Highly avoid the other half of the overall games, they just aren't worth a damn in my opinion. I would even go as far to say one of my most hated games of all time always has been Last Action Hero on Sega Genesis. I rather play that than any of these ever again I'm dead serious.

Forcing your worst enemy to play all of these is more than enough torture to cause chaos. It is incredibly disappointing Sega couldn't do much about them. Until we all spoke up to had them removed from Sega Genesis Mini, yes I'm personally calling you out Sega. Clearly, AtGames just wanted the money by cutting corners.

Once again I do need to mention. Sega Genesis console alone has over eight hundred games. Even most homebrew games including ports are way better than these. AtGames has more than enough real Genesis games to pull from. Also, some deals adding in an extra cartridge further adds salt to the wound.

The sad part is just going by the back cover of the box they came in, the real Genesis games had better pictures than those in the actual devices. Whoever is responsible for making those terrible pictures on the real Genesis games, you suck at your job. In fact, even the fake games looked better on the game selection.

Let's be brutally honest that's not excusable. Everyone who got suckered into buying these. They want to relive games from their past. Sometimes, they can't help the nostalgia especially from some of their absolute favorite games. At the same time, a lot of them are smart enough to avoid this piece of crap altogether.

AtGames is just not excusable guys. You insulted us repeatedly with these fake games. The simple fact you even screwed up emulation of the Mortal Kombat games. Is there a limit to your shame? I was more than happy to hear Sega kicked you guys out the door almost done a happy dance over it myself. You are thieves that never shouldn't got permission from Sega to making these rip off console clones.

Why Tekken is my favorite fighting game series?

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I always been a huge fan of fighting games since my child hood. But there's always one particular franchise I really look forward to beyond them all. Tekken is something truly special to me in so many ways. Honestly, this franchise is still a major inspiration to me. I really can not speak highly enough of it's greatness.

I am aware I made a similar blog talking quickly why I loved Tekken among all of it's competitors. I easily could've went deeper with it. Which is exactly why I'm making this post here. To me, that post was quick to the point yet lacked my real passion for this franchise. So I just hope this post greatly makes up for it.

Tekken started a few years after Sega's Virtua Fighter. Now currently the most successful 3D fighting game franchise in the world. Just in terms of sells seems to be more directly going head to head with Mortal Kombat. Now that in itself is virtually mind blowing. Tekken may have stories that are weird, silly & sometimes doesn't add up to anything.

At the same time, it actually is one of the select few games I'm great at. The controls are complex yet parts of it are simple enough to help get you going. Let's be honest, Tekken always had some of the finest songs in this genre alone. You probably could spend hours among hours to possibly days listening to em I'm not kidding.

Of course, it has so many characters. Tekken is widely known for having a huge roster of characters. Most of it's competition is keeping it around twenty maybe thirty in some cases. Tekken seems to constantly increase the amount of characters. Obviously, a move like this comes with a huge risk. Yet I strongly felt they pulled it off.

Only two of these games had guest characters that's weird. I could see how a handful of them fit in. Then you have characters like The Walking Dead's Negan. Now that's more of a guest character for an Mortal Kombat game than Tekken. I still say they made it fun to play as Negan. You also can customize existing outfits or create new ones for most characters.

It's hard to take Tekken characters seriously for so many reasons. You actually have animals that fight in these games. We're talking Alex (Raptor), Kuma (Grizzly Bear), Panda (well a Panda), & Roger (Kangaroo). It is still not common to see animals as fighting game characters. I should also mention there's a couple machine characters as well, which is more common.

Such as Jack series, NANCY-MI847J & Bryan Fury. You also have some characters that can transform like Jin, Kazuya & Ogre. No I'm not talking about Shrek lol. I loved they have so many fighting styles. Actually more than you usually see within an fighting game. I also loved most of the stages as well. I still don't have a particular favorite because there's plenty of great ones.

Tekken is evolving at a fast rate. If you been playing since the original, you should be great at the newer games. I personally loved both Tekken Tag Tournament games. Sure they aren't canon yet it's an excuse to play with more characters including those that haven't been in one for some time. Think of them as all-stars Tekken games.

Tekken originally done ports exclusively to PlayStation 1. Following Tekken 4, Tekken 5 started to be on more PlayStation consoles. By Tekken 6, the series was also on Xbox consoles. Of course, like many fighting game franchises there's joke characters. I know some see Mokujin as one of them. This may come as a huge surprise.

Mokujin is one of my personal favorite characters to play as in this franchise. This training dummy in every round will randomly have someone else's moves. Which means, you as well as your opponent have to guess whose moves Mokujin is using at that point in time. Now this is something I wish more fighting games have done.

Yes, I am well aware about the original Unknown, Combot and Tetsujin (metal counterpart). To me, none of them are as unique or even as fun to play than Mokujin. This character also cameos in Street Fighter X Tekken as well as in the movie Tekken: Blood Vengeance. There's a lot of endings in these games too.

I think the best way to describe them is most of them are just the right length. I still felt Tag Tournament 1's are a little too short to be called endings no offense. It just leaves you wanting more with little to no real way to satisfy. I also need to mention the newer ports are adding stuff not found in the arcade versions.

Usually this includes a handful of characters. Tekken 7 brought in the seasons system. Originally started with 2013 Killer Instinct game. Now all of them are doing it that comes with it's own pros as well as cons. Obviously, the pros is they add some stuff to the game. But the cons is they might not do it in a way that's good or at least excusable.

Let's be honest, Tekken is now getting the hang of how to do it. Season 1 was kinda lackluster but both it's guest characters works perfectly for this. By Season 2, now that's how you do it guys. Season 3 adds more direct things than just characters. Now they are adding a new top rank among other things. Tekken has the best difficulty balance of all it's competitors in my opinion.

I also loved it's incredibly easy to earn money at a fast rate. Some of it's competitors really makes you grind for that alone. You also can unlock more stuff to customize characters with is a nice touch. Surprisingly lacking in SoulCalibur series which is made by the same team. Tekken also has parts of some stages you can destroy to explore more of it.

By now you knew at some point I have to talk about the bosses. They started fair to Tekken 5 getting unfair in several ways. Now back to fair with Akuma in Tekken 7. The story mode of Tekken 7 is perfectly done in my opinion. The final fight not the bonus one, it greatly reminds me of MGS4's Solid Snake vs. Liquid Ocelot.

I am not kidding, both of them reference moments with those characters. It really was their last fight that literately wore both fighters down. The way it played out giving us the players a very satisfying conclusion to legendary rivalries. There's bonus portions with most of the characters. However it's just literately one fight which is kinda disappointing.

Some of the previous games has an arcade mode as well as an story mode. Yes I know a smaller scale variation of the concept. But at least, everyone having a great acceptable length story mode made me much happier. Well it's still better than only PS ports of the first Tekken games has endings. I do need to talk about the mini games.

This concept officially started in Tekken 3 on PS1 version. There's actually two additional mode that are interesting in their own right. Tekken Ball is like a dodge ball with a huge ball. There's two methods to unlock the guest character Gon. One of them actually is through this mode with the other for the scores input GON to get him.

The other mode is Tekken Force which plays like an beat em up game. There's a selection of bosses unlike you play as Mokujin. In that regard, every boss in this mode suddenly is Mokujin no joke. You actually have to beat it four times to unlock Dr. Bosconovitch. Whose the other console exclusive character.

More recently, he returned in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Yet he fights very differently that I ended up preferring. In Tekken 4, there's just Tekken Force mode which is not as good. Sadly, you don't get much from even playing it. Also, the game has a difficult time having you face multiple opponent. When they are on several sides of you.

Tekken 5 has The Devil Within which is exclusively played as Jin. Sure it's disappointing you don't get to choose your character. But I felt this mini game was way better than Tekken 4's Tekken Force mode. This mini game actually comes more off like it's own game. There's even an exclusive form of Ogre's too.

It also marks the first time you face Jack-4s since you don't play as any model in Tekken 4. As a huge Jack series fan myself, I really wasn't happy about that. Tekken 6 has Campaign Scenario mode which also brought confusion with where's everyone's endings located. Sadly, where majority of them are both Lars and Alisa doesn't have endings there.

Although, the reason is because this mode acts as their own story mode. A better way of saying it is Scenario Campaign was an early attempt at a bigger story mode. They learned what they can from it to make Tekken 7's story mode being way better. This mode has a lot of stages with every character cameos.

You actually can play as other characters in this mode too. There's also hidden stages that will require things to get. This mode is filled with boss fights as well as a few surprises. Like the bonus stage NANCY can be playable in a stage, the game will give you the option. In both Tekken Tag Tournament and 7, there's also Tekken Bowl mode.

Obviously, it's bowling one of my favorite sports believe it or not. Originally Dr. Bosconovitch cameos in Tag Tournament's. Can you imagine playing this as Negan lol. Some of the later games also allows you to switch out songs including from other Tekken games. Yes, you had to paid for them with real money for Tag Tournament.

Later in Tekken 7, you can use in game money to buy em or play enough hours to get everything unlocked. Tag Tournament 2 also done that with intros as well as endings excluding Gon's since they no longer had the rights to him. Once again, Tekken 7 made it more reasonable to get. It is so cool to have all of that in one place.

I don't see many fighting game franchises doing that either. Tekken really means a lot to me without question. Honestly, this franchise is so damn good sometimes I don't wanna play something else. I also loved how they done the ranking system. Especially with Tekken 7 allowing us to see the process getting to the next rank was a welcome feature.

Sometimes, you fight for hours not getting a single promotion match. This does include going a long time not losing an match. Tekken has some silly stuff as well. I recently finished Fight Lab from Tag Tournament 2. This is when the humor gets well Tekken humor lol. Some endings also have that going for them.

I also liked some endings in Tag Tournament 2 have characters self aware what happened. There's likely an Tekken character you're going to love. Not as many you won't dislike either. Honestly, this franchise set the bar extremely high for me. Sure, some of the movies aren't great. I still like two of the animated movies.

I could talk days possibly longer about Tekken. I think it's time to start rapping things up. Bryan Fury is another personal favorite of mine. It's difficult to believe they still make arcade versions. When most of it's competitors no longer does that. Tekken is like anime character such as Monkey D. Luffy & Goku. They never give up no matter what.

If Dreamcast Mini happens, which games I think could be on it

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, there's been talk about Sega possibly considering to making an Sega Dreamcast Mini. I had one of these back in the day, It quickly blew my mind. Some of which still haven't been topped to this day I'm not kidding. This is Sega's second most popular game console behind Sega Genesis itself.

Considering Sega knocked it out of the park with Sega Genesis Mini. I think the potential of this mini console could be difficult to top. Honestly, this game has some truly impressive games during it's run. It also so happens to be one of the most popular game consoles people are still making games for. This is now a legendary game console since what it started took a notable period of time before everyone else was doing it.

Stuff like playing online console wise as well as having paid & free dlcs. Not to mention, this was the very console to inspire Microsoft's Xbox. Which the later consoles also got inspired by Sega Dreamcast. I highly think Xbox 360 is virtually a new age Sega Dreamcast since it comes the closest to it's overall design.

I figured to give you not one but two lists. The reason behind this is the second one ended up being a longer list. Basically this list is filled with choices I would be surprise to in some cases very surprise to even see it get included at all. So I will start with my so sure selection of games to help give those who never had this console an idea how truly amazing it was.

List 1

1. SoulCalibur

2. Sonic Adventure

3. Crazy Taxi

4. Phantasy Star Online

5. Resident Evil - Code: Veronica

6. Marvel vs. Capcom 2

7. Skies of Arcadia

8. Jet Grind Radio

9. Shenmue

10. Sega Rally 2

11. Power Stone

12. Sega Swirl

13. ChuChu Rocket

14. The House of the Dead 2

15. Ikaruga

16. Space Channel 5

17. Virtua Fighter 3tb

List 2

1. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver

2. Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare

3. Blue Stinger

4. Bomberman Online

5. Seaman

6. Dino Crisis

7. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

8. KISS: Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child

9. Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes

10. MDK2

11. Power Stone 2

12. Any Puyo Puyo games

13. Rayman 2: The Great Escape

14. Samba de Amigo

15. Sega Bass Fishing series

16. Shenmue II

17. Sonic Adventure 2

18. Crazy Taxi 2

19. Spawn: in the Demon's Hand

20. Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage

21. The Typing of the Dead

22. Zombie Revenge

23. Ready 2 Rumble series

24. Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness

25. Army Men: Sarge's Heroes

26. Resident Evil 2 & 3: Nemesis

Now if Sega decides to include any homebrew games. I'm sure the selection for that alone would be difficult. You might be surprised some classics like more recently Super Mario 64 are now on that console. Honestly, some Atari rereleases has some homebrew games included. So it would be surprising if Sega allowed some of those newer classics to this mini console.

I know a large amount of them are shoot em up style games. There's people out there that just wants more Dreamcast games. It is truly inspiring stuff as well maybe even more so. Stuff like Beats of Rage would be nice since there's little to no Streets of Rage games on the console. You know what screw it I'm doing a bonus third list right here, right now.

List 3 (homebrew games)

1. Another World HD

2. Beats of Rage

3. Gunlord

4. Flashback: The Quest of Identity

5. Last Hope series

6. Volgarr the Viking

7. Fast Striker

8. Redux: Dark Matters

This console is still inspiring games as well those within the gaming community to this very day. A large amount of stuff everyone else does was originally started with this particular console. Honestly, I really can't speak highly enough about how truly great it actually is neither can a whole group of people.

Sega Dreamcast was the stuff of legends. We got some truly impressive games for their time. It also was the first game console to successfully nail arcade perfection in it's ports. Some of which are still the best versions of those games I'm not kidding. A perfect example of this is Marvel vs. Capcom 2, it adds replay value in a way that keep you going for hours.

You can tell I would be very excited if Sega decides to make this. Sadly, Sega Dreamcast doesn't have as many official games as it's competitors. I know a lot of people compare it to PS2, Xbox and GameCube. But in my mind, it was more directly competing against PS and N64 respectively. Regardless, Nintendo many years later ended up pulling a similar move with Nintendo Switch.

I do see so many great games that can be included. A lot of people were deeply surprised how PlayStation Mini was handled. I still say that's better than how AtGames handled a lot of rereleases of their own Genesis products. I do think this console has something for everyone out there. You probably end up getting your mind blown like I once was.

My thoughts on guest characters for Mortal Kombat 11

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I still need to get Aftermath dlcs. Earlier today, they confirmed a second Kombat Pack. Now, this isn't going to be the actual review. But more about the guest characters themselves. This very topic got a lot of mixed reactions especially following the newest guest character. So I figured to give my early two cents on each one.

1. The Terminator

I was very excited to see Terminator appear in this game. Sadly, Schwarzenegger had to do other things relating to Terminator: Dark Fate movie. So he personally selected another person to voice his character in his place. Honestly, I really felt they done a great job bringing him in. Plus referencing many movies of Schwarzenegger's was pure genius.

2. The Joker

This is actually Joker from Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe game. Although, the same voice actor also voices Joker in Injustice series as well as Raiden. They made sure to put slight differences to help tell em a part. I loved how he was done in the game. I was very excited but also this team used the character a lot. So it isn't on the same level as some guest characters.

3. Spawn

OMG, now this was the one guest character I really wanted to see in this game. Spawn's universe has some similarities making this crossover perfect. They even got the guy who played the character on the animated series too. I really happy how Spawn was done. This is one of my favorite surprises the team has ever done.

4. RoboCop

I am a bit surprise to see RoboCop show up. Although, in MKX they did tie in for Alien vs. Predator. So I guess I should've seen this coming. The fact the original actor reprises his role for this game is crazy. I loved how ED209 got used in this too. I am alright with him being in the game. Honestly, they kept making unbalanced with more gun characters.

5. Rambo

I am a huge Rambo fan myself. We already pass the gun characters limit. No disrespect to one of the most bad ass action movie characters of all time. Obviously, they'll reference Stallone movies as well as his rivalry with Schwarzenegger. Personally, the fact Stallone himself is reprising his role kinda bad ass. I do think Rambo will stand out in his own right next month.

Jack Red reviews Jetpac Refuelled (Rare Replay)

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, although I haven't fully done a playthrough on today's game. I felt I seen enough of it to do a review. Today, I'm here to talk about Jetpac Refuelled. A game from Xbox 360 section of Rare Replay. I will be sharing some interesting facts relating to this franchise while I review this game.

Jetpac Refuelled is an Xbox Live Arcade remake of ZX Spectrum game Jetpac. You play as Jetman whose puts ships & robots together then fill em up. There's a lot of differences here I need to talk about. The original Jetpac didn't have an ending instead after a point the game loop stages endlessly. There's an ending to this version.

Now you can use bombs to clear the path. Which can be pretty helpful especially when your ship or robot ready to go. Yet the ground section filled with enemies sometimes most of the screen. You also have a time limit to get through the stage or lose a life. Dying prior to being timed out will not affect the time limit.

Another major difference is a lot more stage designs are present. Can you believe this small game has one hundred twenty eight stages? The original itself had a handful of levels. Now, that's way more I imagine this game would have. The audio department is very solid here in every category despite not many songs. You also get the original version with no check point system.

Which means if you are going for it's solo achievement, you have to do it without getting game over. Thankfully, the newer version not only lets you start from level 1. You also can start on levels that you put rockets or robots together. Just make sure you beat em before losing all of your lifes or the previous check point limit you start from again.

Some levels enemies can be very frustrating to avoid. Like Level 25, there's these purplish respawning enemies that will quickly respawn behind you. Which is perfect for a few score achievements single player. I struggled getting the strategy for that down due to sometimes being quickly over whelmed. Thankfully, there's no boss fights at all in this game.

Simply going by what I have played of their work. The final boss would likely be too much for this game. You also can play multiplayer, just know not many people are playing it. I'm willing to help others get a few multiplayer achievements. Jetpac Refuelled is a decent game that has too many levels. I don't often say much about the level count in my reviews.

I will say I love Jetman's appearance in this game. The achievements are still fun to go for. This was a great attempt to bring back the franchise. Sadly, it didn't due to not enough people were interested. Keep in mind, most reviewers gave it great reviews. I think simply because they released it as an XBLA title.

They loss out on the bigger profit they could've gain from this game. The same can be said for the first two Banjo-Kazooie games as well as Perfect Dark since they're also XBLA titles. In a sense, this would be the worst of those games in Rare Replay. This is a rare case that being the worst isn't so bad. It does offer a lot to make up for it's short coming.

You also can earn lifes as well as bombs. I should mention in multiplayer you automatically have infinite lifes. Some levels if you know the trick can greatly help your process the next few levels. Don't count too much on it though. Now I'm not saying this is Battletoads NES hard, hell no. It's no where near as unforgiving.

Some stages having too many enemies could easily turn people off. Except someone like Markiplier whose crazy enough to keep on going lol. Some level names are referencing other Rare franchises which I like a lot. It's a challenging game yet satisfying when you get past levels you're struggling on. The artwork itself is beautifully done even by XBLA's standards.

Jetpac Refuelled may not necessary be the best Xbox 360 game within Rare Replay. You're still going to have a great time playing it. Honestly, this game is greatly underrated for what it brings to the table. Possibly overlooked due to a lot of similar ports on the same console. A lot of classic arcade games had a similar treatment likely another reason this game didn't sell well.

Jack Red reviews Viva Pinata (Rare Replay)

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I kinda felt bad because like many people who gotten Rare Replay. One of the last ones I gave a chance to so happens to be Viva Pinata. This is very differently from most genres of games I ever played. Honestly, I been playing it for a few days. Viva Pinata is easily one of the best for their Xbox 360 games without question.

Viva Pinata is a garden life simulator game. You start small but over time you will gain new stuff. There's a lot of pinata creatures you get during this game. Some of them are the sour pinata creatures. Now these will require doing conditions to transform them into a normal one as well as an residence. This allows you to own any amount of them.

Keep in mind, everything adds up in value as well as potential space. To get some things, you need to add something or get a particular's person to help. There isn't a lot of enemies in the game itself. There's a few ways to deal with them including some of which will give you achievements. Speaking of those, like Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.

Viva Pinata is virtually giving you achievements I'm not kidding. Yes, some you may have to look up some info. But there doesn't appear much stopping you from getting higher levels. Also, those wondering if you need to keep your game going for 10 or 50 hours straight. No you don't, the game is keeping track of your overall time.

This by itself will cut some stress off of you while you play. You also can plant stuff from small to actual trees. The biggest trees actually has gems. Everything gets easier overtime including when you get short of money. For the longest time, you can get a Taffly either when they come to your garden to decide staying there or getting an hunter to find one for you.

You want to transform a Taffly into a Reddhott. You spend six hundred per a request with some time to wait. After you get a Taffly, make sure you place a torch. You have to turn this torch on then command that Taffly to fly into the flame. Then quickly use your watercan to put out the fire. This will cause a chain reaction to transforming it into a Reddhott.

You can sell one of these for a little over two thousand chocolate coins. Later on, you can get a Mine as well as a Diggerling. This guy can go into that mine to get gems out. You can also get an Lantern O' Loot. You need to put it around something that's valuable then sell that items at a higher price. This is virtually more of how higher level players get more money.

If there was a word to describe this game, it has to be colorful. Everything about it is virtually colorful both physically and mentally. You also get stuff to prevent the bad guys from entering your garden to cause mayhem. This is a very straight forward experience that's easy to play. You also can customize the appearance of your animals that also increases value.

Also doing challenges will increase value as well. It virtually is if you have whatever the game asks for. You get it sent out not long you'll get which creatures you sent out back with happy treats. To be honest, getting some of these animals can be frustrating. Sometimes, even requires you to drop everything to work on in order to get that creature.

There's cut scenes that play letting you know how many in game achievements you have. Yes, they do reference some of their franchises mostly Banjo-Kazooie series. Keep in mind, this was before Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. This game does so much to make it such an enjoyable experience. You won't even fall over whelm after a sudden point.

The ultimate goal is getting everything particularly done on the pinata animals as well as the plants. Some of this will take hours to do. But trust me, the more you play. The better your chances will be. Viva Pinata even lets you romance your creatures with each other. In fact, you can even do this with different species to create new pinata creatures too.

I highly recommend this game for a lot of great reasons. It isn't difficult to understand stuff with multiple steps. For some games, even that can be a huge problem. You have a couple ways of doing everything. This garden will constantly go through a lot of changes even if you aren't going for achievements.
