Death Battle Fight Prediction: Selene (Underworld) vs. Alice (Resident Evil)

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, The most occurring movie fight request I see is Selene from Underworld series taking on Alice from Resident Evil live action movie series. Both of them are heroines in something that started out great to have fallen. Let's just say I got a challenge in the makings for just one of these characters.

Regardless, I focus on a particular version of a character per a prediction blog. I have made a few exceptions but here due to how they went about Resident Evil movies. I kinda have to give two different verdicts for the price of one. I am also doing this to prove I'm looking at this from every possible angle.

Selene


Selene was took in by Viktor whose one of the Vampire Elders of her kind. For centuries with vampires fought against Lycans aka werewolves for those new to this franchise. She fell in love with a hybrid of their species. Eventually they get a daughter being a perfect mix of her parents. Selene in just a few movies goes through a lot.

Alice


Alice was working security for the top secret underground facility called The Hive. She wants to bring down the Umbrella Corporation. I'm not going to lie, sometimes she has powers while she doesn't crap. Alice turned out to be a clone of one of the founders of Umbrella. Regardless I have to look at both versions of Alice within my prediction blog.

I do apologize in advance if this gets confusing. I just don't want to hear oh Jack you didn't consider this or you didn't talk about stuff relating to Alice regardless she has powers or not. The simple point is Alice has feats either way. Honestly I can't say I was crazy for her especially after seeing the last couple movies were terrible.

The reason why I'm not including firearms is because sometimes they have to use what they can find. Also by this point, everyone knows both of these ladies uses guns. Oh hell no perverts I wasn't talking about those lol.

Weaknesses

Selene


Keep in mind, Selene's DNA kept getting stuff added to it. Her standard arsenal is meant for vampires & lycans. Despite having centuries worth of experience, Selene can be emotionally at times. She also can still technically die just taking much more effort to do so. She is so used to being hunted that she doesn't trust people like normal anymore.

Alice


 Alice's powers were easily making her among one of the worst creatures to come across. But those powers got removed by Wesker. Also after the antivirus worked, she permanently loses her powers. Also struggles more often against stronger opponents like Tyrants. While having her powers, she was able to remove some of her biggest flaws that could've been used against her.

-Her regeneration isn't as good in comparison
-Majority of weapons won't do much to Selene
-Can't rely on methods to killing an vampire to kill Selene
-More arrogant out of the two
-Selene's DNA prevents Alice from doing anything directly to her mind
-No where near as experienced
-Due to how wide of a stats gap can't rely much on hand to hand combat
-Even with powers, it is possible to kill her
-In canon has loss her powers for good

Verdict 1 (Alice without powers)


I am not going to lie this is a stomp. Selene has so much over Alice it's not even funny. Alice without powers can't hold her own. But Selene got over six century more experience. Her stats essentially crushes hers badly. Even Selene's specialize bullets for lycans or vampires still can kill humans. Also due to how her DNA evolves through adding blood from a few powerful beings.

Selene become powerful enough for most vampires not being able to read her read. Unless they drink some of her blood. Selene drank the blood of the only person who predates both his sons. Respectively the original vampire & lycan of their species. Among drinking his blood, Selene became stronger than Marcus.

It turns out this also gave her immunity to ultra violet lights as well as sunlight. Thus removed the most fatal vampire weakness. In vice versa, Alice likely won't get far with any weapon. Even if she does seriously wound Selene, this would be a small thing since she has better regeneration out of the two.

She later gain more DNA that greatly further increased most of her stats. Also keep in mind, she is used to hunting lycans. She also had to take on her own kind as well as humans. Alice had to deal with T-Virus to Uroboros Virus creatures. Sometimes she deals with humans but mostly by Umbrella employees.

Alice simply can't stay on top of whatever Selene is doing during this fight. Selene also has superior senses that prevents several possibilities that could happen during a fight from happening. In just hand to hand combat alone, Selene has a more impressive track record. Alice sadly doesn't have very much going for her.

Verdict 2 (Alice with powers)


This is vastly a different fight between the same characters. Although to me, the winner still remains the same. Unfortunately for Alice, her original powers got removed. Even if she still had them, Selene could easily hold her own. Even Alice's mental abilities won't do much to Selene. The reason behind she does have memories of several people inside of her.

Thus this could act like protection that refuses Alice from directly attacking her mind. Also by drinking Alice's blood, she could potentially add her powers to her own. I would say in stats wise this would be a closer fight. Sadly once again Alice has never shown the same level of speed Selene can go.

In terms of strength, Selene could easily handle powerful vampires & lycans by herself. Sure Alice put up a fight against Nemesis & an Tyrant. But Selene's ability to adapt further through drinking blood puts her on a higher level. In other words, it can take awhile for Alice to evolve while Selene could jump start it by drinking blood for the same effect.

In terms of durability, Alice can regenerate to a degree but Selene has bounced back from far more serious injuries. In fact, even I took the time to directly compare a few of them. Some of these knocked Alice out while it just slowed Selene down a little bit. Also Selene isn't as good of a shot Alice is.

Selene has superior firearms that can still kill an human. But the additional effect won't be fatal to Alice. For example, bullets for lycans has silver while bullets meant for vampires has ultra violet light. It is still technically possible to die from silver being left too long in your body. In terms of senses, I would say Alice does have superior eyes while Selene got everything else.

Late in the last movie, Alice survived an antivirus bomb that was stated to kill her. She survived but lose her powers permanently in the process. However the process of taking or giving powers is vastly different in Underworld. It is mostly done by drinking blood while someone's dying. Additional DNA Selene gained trumps Alice at her most powerful with powers.

Even with powers, Alice is still technically alive while Selene being undead. Thus Selene can bound back from several things Alice will struggle with because of it. Selene eventually becomes one of the new Vampire Elders. Alice's blood was essentially the cure to the T-Virus. Although, a clone of an founder used her blood to enhanced zombies.

This clearly meant Underworld's process still exists within Resident Evil movies. Selene has proven to be great at many methods of combat . So she could straight up fight Alice or kill her quickly. Alice may be smarter but she is more arrogant. Which sometimes gets someone killed. Selene has been on the run from both lycans & vampires for awhile.

Alice's firearms simply won't do much to Selene or likely uses too much up ammo trying to hit her. Both of these are strong possibilities or simply getting disarmed by her. Even telekinesis that can push an Tyrant back isn't going to help her much. Of course we do need to mention the clones. Alice usually telepathy talks to them to help her.

On one occasion, she convinced several of them to attack an Umbrella faculty. Honestly even if they came to help her against Selene. I personally don't see them lasting long since it is unclear how long they been awake for or what do they know. So in that regard, Selene will surprisingly have an easy time taking them out.

Also due to being an vampire, Selene doesn't age. Even with powers, Alice can still age. We simply don't know if it had any effect on her aging or not. Thus Selene is essentially always in her prime. The same can't be said for Alice. Obviously I don't think the T-Virus inside of her will do much to Selene.

Her mixture of DNA could handle the T-Virus. So could Michael and their daughter Eve. Essentially she could be possibly immune to it as well. Although that also could be because Alice herself is immune to the same virus. So I felt Selene could safely drink her blood without worrying about such a deadly virus.

Beyond all of that, Alice doesn't have much left going for her. Selene simply trumps even her at her most powerful with ease. After all, Selene did defeat a giant lycan before. Hell an evil Rain clone nearly killed her before. So if she with Jill had trouble fighting her. Selene should have this in the bag folks.

Winner: Selene (Underworld)


I felt one version of Alice just isn't the right opponent for Selene while the other does come closer but still not cigar. Honestly Selene could handle whatever Alice throws at her. She can't even do much to stay on top of whatever Selene is doing. This is a surprisingly straight forward fight for what it is. I felt at best this is likely to be done in 2D sprites.
