Why Death Battle shouldn't do Piccolo vs. Martian Manhunter?

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, in a way I kinda understand why people want Piccolo vs. Martian Manhunter. Sadly it's more of the same as simply another Goku vs. Superman fight. I personally see major problems that ruined it even before it begins. I understand this is a huge request from so many people.

The sad truth is this simply isn't a fair fight. In fact, there's plenty of proof that all points to Martian Manhunter easily winning this fight. I covered this fight on another website more in detail. I am just going to be direct here. Martian Manhunter is a superman level character. Piccolo does train often but stopped notably pushing the limits like some characters.

Just like The Joker vs. Green Goblin, majority picks Martian Manhunter to win. For starters, yes both these green aliens can regenerate even entire limbs. Piccolo is a far weaker character in comparison. Sure he did make it up to what the fans called planet buster level. But planet buster level is a small thing to characters like Martian Manhunter.

Even Superman himself stated that Martian Manhunter was physically stronger than him. Keep in mind, Superman is a guy who can essentially lift anything. I literately do mean anything, he has lifted infinity on a few occasions. Let's see half of infinity is infinty lol. Martian Manhunter is in the weight lifting class of 100+ tons.

Which is technically the second highest with infinity being the actual highest. Dragon Ball doesn't really consider lifting weights much. It just not clear how much someone like Piccolo would be able to lift. They are more notable by what they can do with their chi. This does affect the fight in many ways.

Obviously striking force alone easily goes to Martian Manhunter who fought some of the most powerful beings. He also can regenerate from much more powerful force than Piccolo in comparison. It is likely a planet explosion can destroy Piccolo while it takes a lot more to destroy Martian Manhunter.

There is no question that Piccolo being an smart fighter. Once again, logic is a rather funny thing in Dragon Ball universe. In Dragon Ball manga prior to Dragon Ball Z, there used to be actual story telling. They took longer for Goku to improve on his skills as well as increasing his power. Ever since Dragon Ball Z, they pushed the story away to make it heavily about fighting.

It went from a surprisingly well told story to something that many manga series recreated including Naruto. My point is there used to be more of a purpose behind every character's actions. There used to be more actual character development before going that route. Keep in mind, Piccolo is technically a son/reincarnation of King Piccolo.

Does anyone remember some of the creatures King Piccolo created? Whatever happened to that ability? Sure Piccolo does have eternal youth through a wish from the dragon balls. But even if he had more actual experience over Martian Manhunter, I highly doubt it would matter. Piccolo is a tough guy in his own right but if this fight becomes mental, he easily loses.

Martian Manhunter was stated to be the best at mental powers in his universe. This guy can easily get inside of your mind with plenty of powers including some to fight against other mental opponents. Mental battles isn't really a thing within the Dragon Ball universe. Sure there was a few times Goku used chi to read minds before.

But along with using telekinesis, this never really added up to anything. Martian Manhunter can shapeshift into other beings. So he could throw Piccolo off by transforming into Gohan. If he really wanted to, he could shut down his body by killing his brain. Now I know what some of you are probably thinking?

"Oh Piccolo's mind will quickly get back to working." Not exactly because as stated before mental battles isn't a thing in his universe. The closest being that went this route with the wizard Babidi. Whose also technically a son/clone of another character. Who by the way did not create Majin Buu for the record.

Babidi directly attacks minds to force them into helping his cause. Vegeta himself confessed he gave in so he could get more power to defeat Goku. Although, Babidi didn't really try controlling Vegeta. Also because around that point, Majin Buu was almost free. Obviously Babidi is using magic rather than actual chi.

I only brought this up because of Martian Manhunter. By the way, Martian Manhunter can allow anything to go through him as well as use it to get inside whatever he wants. Now an ability like this is a rarity within the Dragon Ball universe. Essentially he can easily avoid attacks as well as directly attack your organs.

To sum it up, even if Piccolo charges up his special beam cannon. Also considering if Martian Manhunter would be kind enough to allow him to fire it. Obviously he moves too fast for that technique to work. Martian Manhunter could avoid or directly tank the attack. He fought ridiculous powerful beings that make a lot of Dragon Ball characters seem much weaker in comparison.

Yes, both these aliens fight with others more often than not. I would say Piccolo training is easily his biggest advantage. Sadly it just isn't enough against Martian Manhunter. It also doesn't help Martian Manhunter has ridiculous regeneration in comparison as well. He can regenerate from smaller pieces even from something like a supernova.

There is very clear proof no one can survive a supernova in the Dragon Ball universe. Yes more of these examples are non canon at best. But until we finally see someone not killed by the sun. I can safely say Martian Manhunter got this fight. Even if someone like Cooler were to be considered here. The following movie The Return of Cooler.

Even Cooler himself explained how he was dead until a particular microchip started to work. Which transformed what was left of him into an unique machine. Clearly he still technically died from the previous movie. Only his head remained after his defeat by Goku. In just raw strength, Piccolo won't be able to affect him at all.

Piccolo being an tactical fighter would be easy target for someone like Martian Manhunter. It is quite clear, Martian Manhunter being highly intelligent in his own right rivaling the likes of Batman. Let me tell you Batman has some truly impressive feats for someone without powers. Martian Manhunter has simply has too many ways to win this fight.

He could throw Piccolo hard enough to get burnt to ashes by the sun. He could throw him inside a black hole if there was one within his distance. Now being inside a black hole, it's virtually impossible to be able to breath. Probably even before going inside of an black hole will likely be dead from lack of oxygen.

There is proof that Piccolo does require oxygen. He could directly vaporized him with his heat vision. It is possible to beat Piccolo to death. The closest thing Piccolo fought to this guy was two namekians from Universe 6. Both of them fused with half their people to increase their chances in The Tournament of Power.

For those that doesn't know, The Tournament of Power is a battle royale set up tournament. Instead of doing the traditional way like in several story arcs prior. Each universe not including four of them has ten fighters to represent their universe in this epic battle. If this tournament proves anything which is very likely to be overlooked by it's very fans.

It's that it is possible to put up a fight against someone whose stronger. Although two fighters from Universe 11 disproves this very fact. Obviously because both of them are actual candidates of becoming future destroyers. In the Dragon Ball universe, there must be several kais that look over everything.

They also do what they can to maintain the balance. However each universe also has one destroyer that's ridiculous powerful. They must destroy according to how Grand Zeno set it up. This also means you could kill a kai to killing a destroyer in the process because of that very reason. The point being most fighters were close enough in power with the possible exception of those two.

This doesn't mean Piccolo could handle anything Martian Manhunter can do. Let's be honest, it's actually the opposite here. Piccolo's abilities aren't that different from Martian Manhunter anyway. So he doesn't have a way to surprise him during an actual fight. Hell he could manipulate Piccolo into using his special beam cannon against him.

Obviously he has a few ways of doing just that. Neither Piccolo can avoid even when he realizes it. Which is very likely going to be at the moment he dies. Piccolo does require chi to regenerate while Martian Manhunter doesn't require much at all to doing the same thing. Yes Martian Manhunter does technically have a weakness to fire.

Yet in more recent years, he has made himself more resisted to it. So the one way Piccolo could use to win simply won't work anymore. Piccolo isn't used to fighting opponents capable of shapeshifting either. Even Piccolo's advantages aren't really advantages in this particular fight. A perfect example would be The Flash vs. Quicksilver fight.

Quicksilver was greatly trumped by The Flash to the point, he simply couldn't win. Although they did state he got training from the likes of Captain America. Even that training didn't help much against The Flash. To clarify, an researcher actually told me they given Barry Allen feats of others that shared the mantle.

Honestly just Barry Allen was too much for him why making it an even bigger stomp than it needs to be. For the record, no one really knows how truly fast Barry Allen can run. What we do know is Martian Manhunter can keep up with speedsters like him. Whose obviously going several times the Speed of Light.

There is very clear proof that Martian Manhunter can easily fly similar flight speed to that of Superman or Shazam. There is no solid proof that Piccolo can move or even fly that fast in any canon. I am truthfully not low balling anyone here. Honestly Piccolo has no real way to win while Martian Manhunter has plenty.

This is more or less like the case of fights like Raiden vs. Thor. Another perfect example of a similar stomp. Raiden is powerful for an Mortal Kombat character due to being one of many gods. But the Elder Gods had rules that Raiden had to obey like taking a mortal form. Obviously reduced his power, even if he had that form.

Let's be honest, he would simply be electricity. Therefore nothing he could do to Thor. In comparison, Thor has plenty of feats that greatly proven to be on a much higher level. We're talking about a guy who can still fight with stars & planets getting destroyed like no tomorrow. Raiden clearly isn't capable of handling beings like Shao Kahn or Onaga on his own.

Thor would easily dominate both of them. Raiden had some great advantages but ultimately didn't bring much to the actual fight. I strongly felt this would be doing the same exact thing. Sure Piccolo wears armor but it just isn't heavy compared to many things Martian Manhunter has lifted over the years.

What I am trying to say is please stop requesting this fight. This will unavoidably end the same as Goku vs. Superman. There is absolutely no way Piccolo can win this fight. Martian Manhunter is one of the most powerful Justice League members there ever was. Both physically as well as mentally. Piccolo can only delay the inevitable folks.

Winner: Martian Manhunter (DC)

To clarify I'm a bigger fan of the planet Mars but that didn't even anything I was going to write. I do recall a petition for a planet in a nearby universe to be named Namek lol. I am not making that up, in fact I signed it lol. Honestly we do need an alien fight that's better than this folks. I do know one that kinda interesting.
