What If...? show Season 1 review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I got a rather interesting MCU show to talk about today. I knew about it for awhile but finally got to sit down to watch it thanks to Disney+. No this isn't sponsored folks, I wish it was though. What If... ? show is one of the more interesting shows within MCU. Virtually non canon to the main MCU events but they are still acknowledge to a degree on the show.

I will return to review Season 2 of this show in due time.

What If...? Season 1
The narrator of each stories is The Watcher. He reveals stories from the multiverse. To be honest, most of these ended up being more interested than what actually happened. Some goes from one particular decision to a series of events that dramatically changed things. Most of these stories stayed contained within their own universes.

They chosen to use the nostalgia CGI comic animation style. Yes a lot of people reprised their roles from the MCU movies. Some ambitious concepts especially late into the season. My least favorite among these stories was What If... Thor were an Only Child? This felt like an joke episode than anything else. The rest of them are well told stories that mattered.

I would say my favorite episodes are What If... the World Lost its Mightiest Heroes? & What If... the Watcher Broke his Oath? Both of these were very interesting episodes. I highly recommend checking those out. They even adapted Marvel Zombies in an episode too. Personally I prefer the actual comic which got fully leaked on YouTube more.

Some of these were very unexpected stories too. I am not going to spoil much more than I already have. I will say I'm interested enough to wait for Season 2. Some of the writing is alright but mostly decent stuff. This felt like a different movie within a series of it's own. Honestly, this show has plenty of interesting concepts to keep it going for years to come.

It also directly helps with what's actually going to happen in the main MCU universe as well. I do give respect for what they have done. I simply came close to wanting more but by the final episode felt satisfied. Let's say this became more epic than Avengers: Endgame. I absolutely loved every minute of it too.

Moon Knight show Season 1 review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, thanks to Disney+ I got to watch a particular MCU show I wanted to see. There were a lot of talks if they were going to do this character or not. Late last year, Moon Knight show finally happened through Disney+. Despite the comparisons to DC's Batman, I say he's a very different character even with some strong similarities.

If they do an Season 2, I may come back to review it here.

Moon Knight (2022)
This show takes place within Phase Four. For those new to MCU, each movie line up within MCU are called Phases. The first three Phases together is called The Infinity Saga. The more recently three Phases is called The Multiverse Saga, we're currently in Phase Five. A little confusing I know let's move on. Moon Knight is an strangely interesting show because the main hero has multiple personalities.

I will try to keep this as non spoiler review as possible. Each personality is vastly different from each other. Currently there's six episodes but I do hope for more episodes. This felt bigger scaled from the Netflix MCU shows in a couple of ways. Not only that, Moon Knight having a particular look for which personality is in control a rather nice touch.

Either variation of Moon Knight's outfits is very faithful to the comics. I even say the one Marc has is very awesome looking. It even looked better than some live action Batman's batsuits no lie. This show partly reminds me of The Punisher but it isn't as ugly with the violence despite things. This felt like The Mummy series with Brendan Fraser at times.

I kinda wish we more than six episodes but it still works. Maybe I wanted more of the actual character onscreen. I would say one of the better MCU shows I seen, I got a long way to eventually get caught up. Moon Knight felt like the days of Batman would kill people. At the same time, it also felt more ancient yet mysteriously too.

Moon Knight is an character that never quite gets old. Especially when things started heating up. I felt they done a great job bringing the character into MCU. Honestly, there isn't much complaints I have with the show. Probably my biggest complaint other than the episode length since they might do more episodes. Some cut away moments kinda felt more like bad editing than making you wondered what happened.

Other than that, the characters for the most part are interesting. Yes they do reveal the origin of Moon Knight. It just isn't a major part of the actual story arc. Mostly shown as a flashback, some superhero movies & shows constantly shows their origin stories to the point you get sick of it. So I'm glad Moon Knight was more focus what's going on than doing that before everything.

X-Men: The Animated Series review (1992-1997)

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, thanks to Disney+ I finally got to fully watch. One of my most beloved cartoon shows from my childhood, X-Men: The Animated Series. It's mostly labeled as X-Men in the actual show but considering a lot of things are simply named X-Men. We needed a way to differ it from similar titled X-Men stuff.

X-Men: The Animated Series (1992-1997)
Often considered one of the greatest 90s cartoon shows ever. Also one of the finest adaptations to Marvel Animated Universe. Which acts as a precursor to the more successful, Marvel Cinematic Universe. Believe it or not, the actual story started with a failed show attempt. This also was originally named simply as X-Men but later added the solo episode title to it.

I have seen this solo episode, I'm glad they went straight back to the drawing board. They came back surprisingly strong with this mind blown awesomeness. This isn't just my entry into the X-Men themselves but also one of two shows that made me an Marvel fan for life. The other show being Spider-Man: The Animated Series, another classic cartoon show I plan to revisit in the near future.

Before I actually talk about the show, keep in mind Fox also made a lot of X-Men movies. A good amount of what happened in those also happened on the show but simply done better. Especially true with a particular X-Men villain, Apocalypse. They really pulled X-Men stories from the comics for this show. A risky strategy that ultimately worked out.

Of course, we really gotta talk about that theme song!!! WOW what a great theme song that you constantly wanna keep listening to. I even say it's the greatest theme song within the Marvel Animated Universe. Yes even better than Spider-Man: The Animated Series' theme song. Which is another great theme song too, seriously it's that damn good.

I was surprised by several things as I watched the entire show from the beginning. The crazy amount of racism, keep in mind this was years before Family Guy or South Park. In this case, regular humans are either afraid or hating mutants simply because they are different. Different in terms they have powers while the rest of humanity does not.

The animation is mostly solid but sometimes you can see animation mistakes. A handful of them are strangely funny. Very late into the show most of Season 5, the animation dramatically changed. This actually happened for what might be a surprising reason by today standards. There was a time Marvel came very close of going bankrupt.

It actually got to the point, they no longer could fund this show. One of the other companies involved, decided to put extra money into it. Funny enough, in these particular episodes. Jubilee's race actually corrected no joke. For most of the show, she's portrayed being Caucasian instead of being Asian heritage.

Another interesting fact, she's voiced by the original voice actor for Resident Evil's Claire Redfield. She is coming back in X-Men '97 show but as another character to avoid casting controversiality. A lot of your favorite X-Men characters heroes as well as villains shows up a lot. A handful like Silver Samurai only appears once.

This show doesn't hide the ugliness of humanity. In fact, if it were to happen today. A good amount of it would've got further tone down from this. The only way they could do it even worst and more offensive is within parodies of certain shows like Robot Chicken. I can't even say there was any bad episodes either.

Which for me is quite rare to say. This show not only screams X-Men but very proud of what it is too. Honestly, I would recommend don't watch the X-Men movies stick with this. You would be a lot happier in the long run. The stories are told very well even with their attempts to tone some stuff down. You don't even feel cheated by it.

This show really does prove every reason I love the team so much. Humanity is mostly against them, other mutants threaten their very main goal and trust in people has to be very selective at times. You actually feel sorry for every member of the team for everything they put up with. They even attempted some ambitious concepts like this one ruler used an crystal to recreate the universe in his image.

We even had two of the most powerful psychics taking on the Shadow King in the abyssal plain. Sometimes, sworn enemies are forced to work together. This literately felt like you were reading the actual comics, easily the greatest thing I can say about such an show. It doesn't even feel like they rated the show correctly because this felt like a more mature show than what kids were used to.

Somehow, a lot of kids ended up loving this show with an passion. They even attempted stuff years before it became stable of animated shows on the same channel years later. This felt like an show more directly to teenagers than kids. Some truly amazing visuals at times. X-Men ends up being so good, I really couldn't find a big enough thing to criticize.

The closest thing I could is this show sure loves multiple episode story arcs. The longest arc is five episodes with the Phoenix. But it's also one of the most epic stories they ever told too. Going back to Apocalypse, X-Men: Apocalypse movie doesn't do the character justice. Especially after you watch episodes with the character here.

All of a sudden an already disappointing X-Men movie even more disappointing. This show even gotten the Phoenix right!!! Two movie attempts failed and those also from Fox makes both those movies a bigger disappointment too. Here's an show that may take itself too seriously at times. But there's plenty of good, peaceful moments even if they are short lived.

X-Men really delivers in every possible way. It was so good, it actually renew interest in the X-Men franchise. Also a notable factor in the surprisingly survival of Marvel from going bankrupt. Maybe not the very thing to save it being the original Blade movie. But it was a major factor that leads to them being as decent as it was.

You also get to learn a great deal about the X-Men themselves. You also get to learn a lot about Magneto as well. Then again of course considering he always been their greatest enemy. There's a few episodes he leads the Brotherhood of Mutants, their sworn enemy team. You also get to see around the world as well as a few planets.

In one late Season 5 episode, Captain America appears in a mostly flashback episode with Wolverine. Other heroes like Spider-Man and Doctor Strange cameos briefly in a few episodes. We get to see all kind of crazy situations the X-Men deals with. It's not often when something epic happens. Like Apocalypse attempted to destroy all timelines in order to recreate it with him winning.

A crazy concept later done to a degree in DC's Legends of Tomorrow. X-Men also shows of a lot of mutant characters. A handful of powers are shown the most that's shared like shape shifting, firing blasts and fire manipulation. Honestly, I can't really say anything more about this show that haven't already been said a thousand times before.

The Good Doctor (2017-present) review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, as previously mentioned one of my favorite TV shows is The Good Doctor. To clarify, the US version that actually out lasted two over seas versions of the same show. One of the producers was a fan of the concept to make it again in the United States. Clearly, the most popular version that's still inspiring people.

Originally I was going to wait until the show ended. I figured since life can suddenly end without warning. I wanted to review one of my personal favorite shows ever!!!

The Good Doctor (2017-present)
I usually don't watch hospital shows. You might be surprised like some cop shows. Hospital shows stays on television for years. The Good Doctor centers around an young autistic doctor named Dr. Shawn Murphy. Yes we get to see several points of views in the episodes. Some shows like Gotham kinda suffered from that.

The acting is surprisingly convincing to come off as being very real. Not thing I often say about shows or movies in general. You can actual see the raw feelings the characters themselves has. There's plenty of good moments to keep you smiling. Unfortunately, this show has some truly ugly moments. To be honest, a handful of them deeply got me upset.

For example, the hospital at the time was in the process of a new owner. This woman was more about money than what actually mattered. This even included not renewing medicine. Which led to a particular baby's death. To make this even worst than it already is. This lady goes to the baby's mother lies saying this was Dr. Murphy's fault.

However, nothing could've been done to save the baby. Most places that would've had the medicine was too far ahead. The baby was going to die long before the medicine got here. All of that was truly mess up they allowed it to be on the show. Thankfully, she doesn't get to run the hospital at the end of the same season.

Another particular moment, I even stated on social media how offended I was over this one line. To clarify, Lea & Murphy wasn't sure what their relationship was suppose to be. In an argument Lea said this, "Well you can't cure Autism!!!" Personally, I was so heated that tonight from that one moment. More recently, Dr. Murphy kept over stepping himself with his mentor Dr. Glassman.

A man whose more of a father to him than his actual dad. Let's briefly talk about his real dad for a moment. The very first mess up moment in the show, it stayed in my mind for years too. Both Murphy & his brother Steve gotten an pet rabbit. Unfortunately, their dad took the rabbit to throw the creature against a wall.

Can you imagine your parents doing something this cruel? This led to both of them leaving the house. I will give major credit to the actor, Freddie Highmore. Just like Dustin Hoffman in the movie, The Rain Man. Highmore pulled off being an autistic person incredibly well. As someone whose lived with that disorder, I deeply respected his portrayal.

One season ends with possibly losing two staff including Dr. Lim. The show does change the president as well as chief surgeon a few times. Thankfully, both of them survived with help from the staff. They covered a lot of realistic possibilities. Dr. Park was a former police officer, a surprisingly decent surgeon.

Not every patient lives but that's to be expected. It is an hospital drama show after all. This may include other staff members at times. A few episodes exclusively on COVID with one of the most painful scenes to watch. I do mean painful because you quickly watch all these people get their plugs pulled. Each character brings some rather interesting preceptive angle to things.

Obviously at time you can see how fake the surgeons are. But it's also impressive how realistic they act as if they actually were doing those operations. There's so much to like about this show. They also have some critical advice on things. You know when you suddenly ring into an elder person. You are given surprisingly decent advice, this is what that felt like.

Yes, the show heavily centers around one hospital. There are a few exceptions like the time in another country for a few episodes. You also notice so many patients has unresolved issues with their own families. I can say most of those gets resolved in an pleasant matter. Honestly, I'm deeply inspired by this show.

I am even surprised it lasted longer than it currently is. This doesn't even feel like most shows do. This felt more like a great series of movies. You also get to learn more about the human body. It's rare when animals gets brought in though. Not only that, I really felt this show easily could become an timeless classic.

I know some hospital fans may prefer other hospital classics such as ER, Grey's Anatomy or House. I liked we get to see Dr. Murphy's journey. Within the first few episodes, he had help joining the hospital. Currently in Season 7 with Dr. Park, they helped trained people. Dr. Murphy doesn't handle emotions well.

At times, he does ask for advice from other staff members or his wife. The Good Doctor is an fantastic drama show. They covered a lot of possibilities with likely more in later seasons. We get to see the characters go through loss in some way. Yet they find a way to keep on going. Like Dr. Glassman's old home got burnt down or some of them losing an parent in rather not pleasant ways.

The Good Doctor is a show that really got me by surprise. Virtually top notch without question. There isn't even much I could criticize. The biggest criticism is sometimes they attempted to bridge stories. In terms of some patients' back stories with their surgeries or simply being taken care of. Now throw in all the other points of view we see within the same episodes.

Yeah it comes off not as focused at times. I do say some episodes do nail this way better than others. We get to learn so much about everything. It's almost like talking to someone whose very interesting. You know you have things to do. At the same time, this person kept saying stuff that kept getting your attention.

If that isn't what it comes off as then I honestly don't know. The Good Doctor is a very personal for a drama hospital show. You know most of them deeply care about saving their patients. You actually feel terrible when they can't. They even had this strangely kind man who had bumps all over. Sadly, he later died in the same episode.

The point is some people are simply grateful to be alive. Even if their conditions are making their lifes difficult. Honestly, I am even amazed how they pull off such difficult scenes from time to time. Likely my favorite episode simply because it's very unexpected. In this episode, one of the dishes had drugs in that caused some members of the staff to lose control.

Yes even some of the top dogs went through this too. I kid you not, this episode had some truly rememberable moments that still stuck out. It had some of the funniest moments yet. It also showed you how they handled if more than one staff members done drugs, what would happen. It turned out, one of the doctors mistaken drugs for sugar in his sweet potato dish.

They even throw in politics as well as religion. This show may appeal to a lot of people in some way. You don't even need to be a fan to see it's effect on people. It's constantly improving anyone watching it for the better. We are simply better people because of shows like this. I always be grateful for The Good Doctor as long I'm still breathing.

Did Chucky Season 2 rip off A Nightmare on Elm Street 3?

This will be a very lengthy blog post. Please take all the time you'll need to read it. Trust me, I'm not going to hold back comparing the two here. I'm going to say virtually everything I wanna say. Maybe it might inspire others to tackle the same topic who really knows? What I do know for sure is Chucky show regretting how they went about Season 2 recently.

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, due to a couple busy months. A particular blog project was in the works but didn't go further than the planning out the comparison itself. But I already previously commented a few times on YouTube. I even made a few memes on this particular topic. Well we're finally going to discuss it here.

Did Chucky Season 2 rip off A Nightmare on Elm Street 3?

I also know I previously stated I wasn't going to spoil the show. But for this topic, I'm dropping that to spoil Season 2 of the show just for this comparison. For the record, Chucky did rip some stuff off from Freddy from other Freddy movies. For example, Super Freddy was briefly used in A Nightmare on Elm Street 5. Buff Chucky was in a few episodes whose a muscular variation of the character.

Another example being multiple Freddies in Wes Craven's New Nightmare. From Cult to Chucky to the show, multiple Chuckies. Also Freddy was too comical in Freddy's Dead. In Chucky's case, that was Seed of Chucky. Interesting fact, Seed of Chucky is the only Chucky movie I actually watched in theaters true story.

Obviously both slasher villains has similar personalities while wearing striped clothing. Keep in mind, none of this is the actual comparison I came here to do. I just figured to throw out some examples that isn't going to connect within today's comparison. I will strongly say A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is way better than Season 2 of Chucky show hands down.

I also wanna point out this isn't going to be in the order it happens either. I am sure after this comparison a lot of people likely agree with what I think. Honestly, Chucky show needs to step up their game or get canceled much faster than expected. No more further delays let's start the real comparison, just know I took notable amount of time to study everything.

Also no I won't be discussing the season finale episode since most of the comparison is all the other episodes prior. I will say it has one of my favorite kills on the show. A kill that rivals some of the finest Leatherface ever gave to his victims. It's kinda sad when a possessed doll look amazing doing that in comparison.

Comparison 1

In Philip's nightmare, Freddy controlled Philip like a puppet then caused him to fall to his death.

Good Chucky tricks Nadine into throwing her out the building to her death.

Both involved some form of manipulation. Also involved the victim falling to their death. I hate to say not very original on Chucky's part. Also some of Freddy's victims witnessed Philip's death. Nadine's friends were very close by the window she fell from. Except they were notably closer to Chucky in comparison.

The jury agrees it's a rip off of Freddy.

Comparison 2

In Jennifer's nightmare, Jennifer watching TV gets scared when the host of a talk show transformed into Freddy about to kill the guest.

During Chucky's talk show episode, current wrestler Liv Morgan gets killed live on TV.

Meme

https://imgflip.com/i/6yjgdt

I don't have to explain much on Freddy, all of it was well executed. Chucky made a weird filler episode, it's still canon to the story. But parts of it, Chucky is hosting it as well as featuring the story in the same episode. Chucky made arrangements on his talk show to kill wrestler Liv Morgan. Also indirectly mirroring the famous actress quickly killed off by Freddy in Jennifer's nightmare.

The jury agrees it's a rip off of Freddy.

Comparison 3

Dr. Gorgon injured puts Freddy's remains into the ground then he lays Freddy's spirit to rest.

Father Bryce performs an exorcism on Good Chucky.

Keep in mind, both their rituals were performed by other people they tried to kill off. In Freddy's case, he was busy dealing with a dying Nancy and Kristen. Dr. Gorgon pushes Freddy's bones into a hole. He says the words as he spills holy water on his bones that defeats Freddy. This Chucky gets his soul transferred into Father Bryce before causing both their deaths by causing Bryce's body to explode.

I can't say Chucky ripped off Freddy here. But Freddy did possess someone in Freddy vs. Jason before. Chucky later possessed a few people's bodies. Also their rituals were vastly different. One was meant to lay Freddy's soul to rest while the other was to remove his soul from a doll that backfired. Also the actual process was completed someone did die but in vastly different ways.

The jury agrees it's not a rip off of Freddy at all.

Comparison 4

Both locations goes under lock down because some people weren't following the rules.

In A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, Joey with Will wakes up the other patients. Just in time of Philips' death caused by Freddy. Dr. Simms ordered the windows to be barred up. Also a time curfew they are forced to return to their rooms. In vice versa, some of Jake's friends searches the nearby forest. This led to a similar event with the doors locked included.

Basically the rules got broken. Ultimately it was for a good cause since people were getting murdered. Let's be honest, it's easily to argue it both ways. I could argue this is in fact a rip off of the events of that movie. But I also could counter it by saying different things triggered a similar outcome. This is likely the most debatable among the entire compilation.

The jury agrees this one is a tie.

Comparison 5

Amanda's spirit talks to Dr. Gordon a few times in the movie.

Sister Ruth becomes a follower of Chucky.

Meme

https://imgflip.com/i/7164pv

A little bit of a weirder comparison here. Both had notable Church ladies that may had ties with the killer. Like Amanda's spirit was actually using an atlas to disguise the fact she's Freddy's mother. Sister Ruth over a brief moment ends up serving Buff Chucky. Obviously, this is a more recent relationship in comparison.

Both were sisters in a Church as in being Nuns. This is more of a role reversal because Amanda was disgusted about her child. In two movies, she does help to a degree to stop her son. Although, the later movie Freddy taken her body despite her being a spirit herself. Sister Rush got killed by Chucky's daughter Glenda.

The jury agrees this isn't a rip of Freddy at all.

Comparison 6

Nancy returns to help the teens of Elm Street at an hospital.

Andy, Kyle and Nica returns to help the teens on the show.

In this comparison we have old characters that previously defeated the killer that returns to help the newer group. Chucky show was very lucky, none of them died in Season 2. Unfortunately for Nancy, she wasn't so lucky. Both has similar roles that does fight the killer again as well as prevent more from getting killed.

A huge amount of the season since we get to see a lot of character's points of view. We know it's took almost the entire season for all the heroes to come together. This is one of a few reasons why I can't say Chucky show ripping off Freddy here. Another big reason being, those classic characters lives. Therefore, I stand with the following verdict.

The jury agrees this isn't a rip off of Freddy at all.

Comparison 7

For most of the movie, Dr. Gordon wasn't helping the teens.

For most of Season 2, Father Bryce wasn't helping the teens.

Now this one is largely similar up to a point. Until Dr. Gordon & Father Bryce decided to help them out. People were still dying within their care. Also Dr. Gordon wasn't the one in charge of the hospital. Although I will be comparing her shortly. Father Bryce made things worst for the main group the show focused on.

At first, neither listened until they finally got to see it with their own eyes. A strange dream session with Nancy in Dr. Gordon's case. Father Bryce gets involved with Good Chucky's exorcism. Which also involved another Chucky's soul to get transferred in that dol body. Although that's one of two major differences, I still gotta call it how I see it folks.

The jury agrees this is a rip off of Freddy.

Comparison 8

Dr. Simms doesn't help the teens at all.

Dr. Mixter doesn't help the teens at all just Chucky.

A very straight forward comparison. Dr. Mixter was involved with some of Chucky's deceased victims. She also was involved with the show's main group. She virtually done little to nothing to help them. She allowed Lexy's sister to hold onto her doll. Which was later revealed to be Chucky disguised. She even attempted to kill some people.

Dr. Simms ran the hospital the main group are patients in. She virtually made things worst as the movie went on. In this aspect, she was being strict yet not fully understood what's happening in her hospital. Dr. Mixter was an ally of Chucky before his doll days. Although, Chucky ended up betraying her in the end.

Keep in mind, Dr. Mixter willingly chose to not focus on curing Chucky. But rather how to make him more into an monster. Both were older female doctors that only made things worst for everyone else. Dr. Mixter also helps out at the orphanage where the main group was staying for most the season. There's some clear differences but I felt my decision likely going to be the right call here.

The jury agrees this is a rip off of Freddy.

Comparison 9

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 led to a team being formed to face Freddy.

All the good characters reunited at one point during Season 2 to kill off Chucky.

Both were previous victims of their respective killer. Late into Season 2, all the heroes came together. Sadly they all got tricked by Chucky, he ended up escaping. In Freddy's case, what's left of the teens figured out how to use their dream powers against him. Which slightly betters their chances since he's a God like being there.

The actual fighting is short lived with a few deaths. Honestly, this one ends up being more different than alike I say. Freddy done most of the fighting in the dream world. Chucky also has multiple bodies that all had their own stories through out the season. This alone is clear proof despite a few similarities, it's still too different.

The jury agrees this isn't a rip off of Freddy.

Comparison 10

Taryn was struggling with drug addiction sadly killed by Freddy through it.

Lexy was struggling with drug addiction she hid from everyone else except Nadine.

This was a recurring theme for a particular troubled female character. Taryn was trying to stay out from drugs while Lexy became an addict. Until Nadine eventually got her out of it. Lexy still lives while Taryn got killed by drug overdose by Freddy. We do see more of why Lexy became the way she is. Yet I do actually like Taryn in comparison, she was trying to redeem herself prior to death.

The jury agrees this is a rip off of Freddy.

Comparison 11

Jennifer wanted to become an actress.

Jennifer was an actress trapped in Tiffany's old doll body.

A little weird comparison that involves characters both named Jennifer. In A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, Jennifer's dream was to become an actress. Sadly got cut short by Freddy in one of the movie's best kills. Also one of the greatest one liners ever in a horror movie ever spoken!!! In Chucky series, Jennifer Tilly is an actress just like in real life.

Until Tiffany swapped bodies with her. For years, Tilly was trapped in Tiffany's old doll body. Tiffany tricked people into thinking she's Jennifer including her sister Meg Tilly. Sadly, Tiffany killed her sister when she found out the truth. Later on, Tilly made a run that led to getting killed in traffic. Tiffany already killed her acting career prior.

I am not going to lie because this is a tricky one to decide. Both involved a character named Jennifer. Whose death was in some way involved with a killer. One wanted to become an actress while the other had her entire life destroyed by a killer. I think after thinking this through I believe I do know the right call here.

The jury agrees it's not a rip off of Freddy.

Comparison 12

When awake, Will moves around in a wheel chair.

Nica/Chucky had to use an wheel chair due to Nica's limbs got cut off.

Both involved someone in a wheel chair. Keep in mind, up to a point late into the season. Chucky was sharing Nica's body as well. Nica's body got to experience things on both sides. Either as her trying to escape or Chucky working with her against Tiffany or his own goals. Will became a wizard master before killed off by Freddy with ease.

The jury agrees it's not a rip off of Freddy.

Comparison 13

Nancy's dad John got murdered in the junkyard by Freddy using his bones.

Detective Gavin got murdered by Tiffany in Tily's house.

Nancy's dad used to be a police officer before he loss the job. Detective Gavin was an active detective looking into Nica. Honestly, this is vastly different since one used to be a police officer while the other got murdered on duty. Their respective stories up to their deaths is also notably different as well. So I strongly felt the verdict is the right call here.

The jury agrees it's not a rip off of Freddy.

Nancy's

Comparison 14

At one point, Freddy made mirror clones.

A lot of Chucky dolls got killed this season.

As previously stated Chucky show has a lot of Chuckies. Majority of them dies early on this season. A handful of them, we get to see their points of view within the story. One short scene in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, the group enters an area filled with mirrors. Freddy creates mirror clones of himself. He nearly takes three of them before Joey yelling destroys every mirror.

Although, this was a short scene. Most of Season 2 on the show, the main group dealt with several Chuckies. The most famous one introduced was The Colonel. Whose a direct character reference of the movie, Apocalypse Now. Yes they actually went there I'm not kidding. Each major Chucky we get to see were notably different from each other.

Eventually, they started to turn on each other. The Colonel killed Buff Chucky in a stupid but tactical way. The Colonel gets killed by Andy no surprise there. Good Chucky dies as an exorcism backfires on Father Bryce. The main Chucky ends up escaping the catholic school through the doctor's body. It's virtually every Chucky for themselves, not even mentioning a lot of them got killed by The Colonel too.

The jury agrees it's not a rip off of Freddy.

Comparison 15

In the dream world, the group found each other where Kristen was.

Lexy and Nadine used the windows to get back into Devon & Jake's room.

In both cases following their respective lock downs. The group had an surprisingly easy way to reunite with each other. Although it's done differently, the main reason doing so was to protect each other from the killer. All of a sudden, it's strikingly similar despite things. So I kinda have no choice where to go here.

The jury agrees it's a rip off of Freddy.

Comparison 16

Freddy slashed Kristen's wrist that led her going to the hospital.

Chucky triggered a bomb killing a child led the teen group going to a catholic school.

The main similarity is something bad happened at home. Forcing someone to live in a place they ultimately aren't safe in. Freddy slashed Kristen's wrist. Which got mistaken by her mom as she attempted to commit suicide. In Chucky's case, he originally planned to blow up more people. He ended up blowing himself with a kid up after detonating a bomb.

Ultimately the main group gets blamed for the death of that child. Dr. Mixter recommends sending them to the catholic school instead. Sadly, it also was a place Chucky spent a years growing up. I believe this alone is so vastly different. It's virtually impossible for me to go the other way. I strongly felt there's only one verdict to give.

The jury agrees it's not a rip off of Freddy.

Comparison 17

Kincaid gets superhuman strength in dreams.

Buff Chucky has superhuman strength.

I should point out, Kincaid does return in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4. Although, this comparison more about the third entry. Buff Chucky is strong enough to send a person flying with a single punch. He even delivers a fatal punch through the chest. He also survived some of Good Chucky's attacks to end up gaining Sister Ruth's assistance.

Kincaid does show some of his super strength. He easily bends a chair as well as used a huge pipe on Freddy. Sadly we don't see much but he's clearly the strongest in the gang while in the dream world. In both cases, neither does much. It kinda doesn't matter since Kincaid does die the following movie. But I say through different means we do have super strong characters with similar personalities.

The jury agrees it's a rip off of Freddy.

Comparison 18

Taryn uses knives in dreams.

Glenda killed a few people with knives.

Glenda had more good motive than evil during the events of Season 2. Although, some of her events makes her more neutral. Glenda is skilled with knives including killing Sister Ruth off quickly. Taryn gets out two switch blade knives against Freddy. Sadly, she loses to Freddy in a rather painful way. Both had a similar attitude as well.

The jury agrees it's a rip off of Freddy.

Final verdict 9-8-1

The jury decided Season 2 of Chucky show isn't a rip off of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3. Yes, some similarities were strikingly similar. Also a good number of them were vastly different from each other. Chucky show does just enough to differ itself from that film in question. Ultimately, this follows suit like Dead Rising/Dawn of the Dead lawsuit where despite the similarities were vastly different.

Chucky Season 2 isn't a rip off of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 film.

Scream VI (2023) review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I took a lot of time to think over Scream VI. It's been awhile since I seen the movie. As a huge Ghostface fan, of course I had to see the movie. Officially the second Scream movie after the late Wes Craven passed away. The real question is the movie worth watching or go watch something?

Scream VI (2023)
I will try to not spoil much for those who still haven't seen the movie. It does confirmed Scream: Resurrection events isn't in the same universe as the main movie universe. Yes in a couple of ways this one pays tribute to the previous Scream movies. Even Scream got a couple rip offs too. Sadly Neve Campbell doesn't return, she already passed the torch to Melissa Barrera.

Barrera plays Sam, one of two sisters from the previous Scream movie. I am also glad they named it Scream VI. The previous movie was simply titled Scream. Which could easily lead to confusion. For example, let's say you are on the phone talking to an friend. All of a sudden you tell them. "Yeah I'm watching Scream."

Then your friend says, "Which Scream?" You go on to say, "it's none of the sequels." Your friend says, "Then which Scream are you watching? You say "What do you mean?" Your friend says, "Are we talking about the original?" You say, "No!!!" Your friend goes on to ask, "The Scream show?" You replied, "No not the show either."

Then your friend says, "You must be talking about the original Scary Movie." You say, "Dude that isn't even called Scream." Your friend replies, "True but I still consider it a Ghostface movie." You say, "I loved that movie too but I'm actually watching Scream (2022)." You friend replies, "You couldn't simply tell me that!!!"

Confusing stuff I know, this could happen to you. Back to Scream VI, I'm going to take a stab pun very intended to Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan. In that movie, only late into the actual movie. Jason stalking people in New York city makes anyone watching it feel ripped off. But even members in History of Horror group on Facebook agrees with this meme I created.

Seriously what a disappoint Halloween Ends was. Thankfully, Scream VI isn't a disappointment. Also most of it actually takes place in New York. It's rare in Scream franchise to take place away from Woodsboro. Although, it never took place there on the Scream show. I will talk about stuff they confirmed either in trailers or in statements.

Yes, this is the bloodiest Scream movie to date. Gale does return in the movie, never was a fan of the character. Let's be honest, she's a major reason why these murders continued. In all honestly, Ghostface going after her made me happy. As some of you know, Sam is Billy's daughter. The movie does play on that more.

This felt more like Scream 4 was to the original Scream but also Scream 2 as well. To explain that however I would have to deeply spoil the movie. I know this movie currently has a mixed reception with the fans. Personally I enjoyed the movie but not as much as some of the better entries. It's still better than Scream 2 and 3 respectively.

To clarify something here, some aspects of it is better than Scream 2. But I still prefer Scream 2 is a better overall movie. Another Scream movie that got rushed out. The killers were to me more interesting. Some of the kill scenes were more rememberable. Also, it had Sidney whose one of my favorite horror movie heroes ever.

Of course, Roger L. Jackson reprises the voice of Ghostface in the movie. Scream VI might be a little too violent for some at times. The trailer shows some of the scene the sisters went into a store. I will say one of the most intense scenes ever in the franchise. Some of you might also be aware Kirby from Scream 4 returns.

I won't reveal her role in the movie but let's just say it wasn't what I expected it to be. Without spoiling all the twists relating to Ghostface. I would say the scariest Ghostface so far. Again to explain things this suddenly becomes a spoiler filled review. I rather review it with the challenge as well as respect to not spoil the film.

Scream VI had a notably shorter production period but it doesn't come off rush. Like Scream 2 and 3 respectively did following the original Scream. Paranoia is very real in this movie as well. A tread within the franchise I always respected. Some death scenes were shown in trailers. Just not fully enough to ruin those scenes among watching it.

The movie also plays on legacy in a few ways. Scream VI proves no one is truly safe this time. You can't even trust people just hope they're on your side during the worst of times. I also want to mention, Jenna Ortega does a rememberable performance as well. Ortega plays Sam's sister in both Scream (2022) and Scream VI respectively.

Ortega is on a roll recently with some of her more recent roles being huge successes. Especially from the Wednesday show, I confess I love the show too. Back to the movie, I felt they did a good job trying to keep it fresh. Some parts could've been a little better in my opinion. Scream VI is a fun watch with people at night.
