Popeye 3: Requiem (2026) and Popeye 4: Resurrection (2026) review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I didn't expect to briefly come out of my hiatus for this. Out of no where, Popeye Returns gets two sequels. I just watched both of them on Tubi. The fourth one meant to end the series, it does indeed. I'm still waiting for other horror Popeye sequels that's a bit more interesting. I decided to review the last two horror Popeye movies together.

"You take one look at that logo." Points at ITN Studios. "You just know there's no gold at the end of that rainbow."

Yes that was inspired by an actual joke from The Angry Video Game Nerd show.

Popeye 3: Requiem (2026)

This continues right after Popeye Returns ends. Popeye gets more of the serum that caused him to escape. Yes even armed men are getting destroyed with ease. Obviously the scientist was in over her head. I felt a notable portion of the movie centering on a group of people. It almost came off like a different movie. Eventually whose else meets up while trying to survive Popeye.

Virtually nothing continued of how Popeye's Revenge whatsoever. Which made that horror Popeye movie pointless!!! Yes they got the same guy playing the character again. This felt like they could've done a lot more. I will give a little credit when the man wanting to avenger his wife takes the serum. Effectively becoming Bluto in the movie was something I really didn't expect to happen.

Popeye actually gets brutally beaten to death by this guy. Another lady with some help stopped fire bombing from happening. I felt this one was a little trying to focus on too much at times. I will be honest the second horror Popeye movie my favorite. This felt like rushed horror movie sequels that barely had any time from the previous movie.

I'm debating if they were filmed this back to back with Popeye Returns or simply had too much footage? I wouldn't be surprise if the answer somehow was both. This felt like stuff we should've seen in the previous movie. It's a mostly a miss regarding the kills in the movie. It does conclude things from that movie a little better than expected.

Surprisingly no sex scenes at all in this movie. Suddenly they forgot the concept they were directly ripping off. I felt a good amount of the movie easily could've been cut altogether or notably cut down a little bit. To be brutally honest, it was difficult to stay excited with how it plays out. Being a little bored doesn't even begin to describe how disappointing this entry was.

Not to mention, a large amount of the movie could've been prevented in a few ways. If the scientist would've allowed the armed men to take him out. They also could've taken him to a more secured location. The writing does make me question many things. Indirectly, it's similar to Jason Goes to Hell after Jason possessed a doctor.

Not long afterwards took out the soldiers. Of course, as weird of a Jason movie that was still way better than this!!! To me, this one felt a bit uninspired. Somehow this is even less like Friday the 13th franchise. As if they decided to start moving away from ripping it off. I'm afraid it really does not work like that.

Please don't go in with high expectations it'll quickly disappoint. Popeye isn't even done well in this horror movie. The highlight was unfortunately the final showdown that led to his demise. They started with a quick game of tug 'o war with an anchor. He also dies after Popeye does being one of a very few well written characters.

This felt more like if Popeye Returns had the overall better footage. Then what do they do with the not so great footage? Someone likely fought to not delete them which led to this horror Popeye movie. Even Toxic Avenger 3 that had a similar situation was better than this!!! Honestly, I recommend you stay away from this horror Popeye movie.

Popeye 4: Resurrection (2026)

I won't even entertain the concept of hiding it, this is the absolute worst horror Popeye movie in the series!!! Yes I wrote down a few notable stuff I wanna make sure to include here. Such as almost an hour into the movie, Popeye was dead. The closest we get to see him prior was either flashbacks or nightmare sequences.

Neither were done well in this horror Popeye movie. A cult led by Olive Ovl aka the chick set on fire in Popeye's Revenge. Now she looks like the character with parts of her face burnt scarred. For me, it was difficult to take her being the cult leader seriously. Let's put it this way, on The Angry Video Game Nerd there was an Shrek episode.

The episode in question had a cult obsessed with the franchise that was parodying another movie. The Wicker Man as in the classic version not the bees remake version. The fact it took most of the movie to actually have Popeye back already makes it the worst. Personally the cult thing just made it even stupider than it needed to be.

The cult was targeting the counselor from the last two horror Popeye movies. I do find it a bit amusing Popeye's grave has his hat, last anchor he used and another syringe of the serum. I would've thought there was a party. But they forgot to clean up there which does look like that. The movie suddenly made the counselor into a bad ass killing both of them.

Going back to the cult, a particular Halloween timeline. In particular, Halloween 1 to Halloween 6 timeline that involved a cult. Somehow that was done a little better too. I am not a huge fan of Halloween 6 either version at all!!! Even considering Return to Silent Hill that also involved a cult. Somehow that was slightly done a bit better as well.

There were too many moments something could've happened but doesn't. I'll give an example where she was away, one of them put a few pills into her glass of water. One of them gets close to her that quickly became too obvious she's an member in the cult. This might be just me I felt this had the overall worst killing in the franchise.

I will give a little credit how Popeye gets killed again was among the finest for sure. He gets repeatedly stabbed then gets beheaded just like his sister. The actual process how Popeye gets revived makes no sense. This easily felt like if you would've stick with the first three horror Popeye movies. You would've be fine making this even unnecessary to make.

At least Friday the 13th Part VI quickly brought Jason to life. I also gotta mention the title is a little better than Popeye 3: Requiem. Although that really isn't saying much. I know this should've been even more obvious for me to not say. Popeye 2-4 felt rushed out like they didn't wanna take time making em. They gotta have the money or they desperately wanna make other horror movies.

The company won't let the director until that horror movie franchise was finished. Regardless what the reason could be I wish these horror Popeye movies didn't get rushed like this!!! Yes the same actor playing Popeye for the last time. In a way I'll give the actor credit for being in all four horror Popeye movies.

Just like the last one, no sex scenes. This was easily the more boring entry in the franchise. To me, the most overall pointless movie in it as well. There's no fricking way I'm calling this the best one. This one actually left a very unpleasant taste in my mouth. I prefer to drink a glass of salt water with extra salt!!! The closest positive even it's a little minor is the actual feel vastly differs from the last two movies.

Yes they don't acknowledge what happened at the end of Popeye's Revenge again. Suddenly bagging the question did Popeye die two or three times in the series? I don't know if the writer ever notice this or not. This also would imply somehow Popeye survived getting mowed to a degree. Select stuff like this is rather inconsistent in the franchise.

Conclusion

I didn't expect they quickly rushed out an quadrilogy like this. I guess ITN had to be the first on multiple things. The first to have a third horror Popeye movie. The first to have a fourth horror Popeye movie. The first horror Popeye movie franchise to end. How the hell did they get three of them out the same year?

A recurring thought could be they skipped going to movie theaters. I'm still waiting for other horror Popeye movie sequels. Those sounded more interesting than these!!! As a franchise, Popeye Returns is the closest one I could possibly recommend. But you are better off watching something else. Honestly, Popeye 4: Resurrection is among my least favorites from this movie company I ever seen!!!

Considering the amazingly not great stuff from them I watched. Now that's actually saying a lot here!!! I'm glad I got to see how it all ends. Despite an handful of things either cut or forgotten that's left unresolved. Despite that, my big recommendation is watch Popeye the Slayer Man. At least they done Popeye better than leprechauns right?

Whose my favorite SoulCalibur character?

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I got a short announcement before I get to today's topic. Following this blog entry I will be on a little notable hiatus. I figured to properly start one with talking about my favorite SoulCalibur character.

I previously confirmed a long time ago who that was. I actually liked a lot of characters outside guest ones in the series. An handful of them wasn't deal a good hand in SoulCalibur V like Kilik. Another personal favorite being Maxi that made using nunchucks awesome.

My two favorite female characters being Ivy and Tira respectively. The characters stand out more than you think. I also liked the original Astaroth as well. I wasn't a fan of the newer Astaroth myself. I do like Cervantes easily one of the greatest villain characters.

Of course, I do think playing as any mimic character as a rather unique experience. I have a surprisingly complex answer to this question. My favorite SoulCalibur character always has been Nightmare. To clarify, the original Nightmare that originally was Siegfried possessed.

He later gotten his own body after loss Siegfried through unexpected help. I wasn't a fan of the newer Nightmare that was Raphael possessed. Before Nightmare officially appeared in the first SoulCalibur game. There's a particular secret outfit for Siegfried that's a prototype design.

Nightmare has such an menacing appearance. Parts of him are monstrous with a notably huge right hand. He wields Soul Edge in the form of a giant sword. Which does have a giant eye in the design. Nightmare is actually the physical form of Soul Edge whose an abyssal being that takes forms of weapons.

Indirectly I'm saying Siegfried is my favorite character. It's more of a rather sick alternative version of the character I absolutely love!!! Yes I do like regular Siegfried as well. They given such demonic lines to the character. You would be surprise he can easily wield that sword in matches.

As many people knows you can customize outfits for the roster. Yes I have made a few custom outfits for Nightmare. The voice is what really sells this character. Such an evil presence you wouldn't expect if you're new to the franchise.

In most of the original timeline, he's the main antagonist. Even without Siegfried easily took out armies. It took SoulCalibur allowing itself to be wielded by Siegfried to put him down. Nightmare actually among the most powerful beings you play as in the series.

Nightmare has surprising depth to his character. There's no good while further corrupting Siegfried while he's still bonded to Soul Edge. This weapon wants a massacre with a huge body count. I love a lor of moves the character has including SCVI finisher.

Which is also shared with Inferno. Siegfried took the weapon from Cervantes. Keep in mind, Siegfried started with good intentions. In a way you felt sorry for everything he's either manipulated or forced to do. Nightmare is among the sickest looking weapon based fighting games ever!!!

This thing has such demonic eyes that just sticks with you. I always loved the overall default armor design. I was a little surprised many people also had him as their favorite SoulCalibur character. During his rein of terror had one of the most legendary rivalries in fighting game history.

I know some perceptive of their stories might not properly went as shown in the games. I can tell you every single time Nightmare fought Siegfried. Everyone wanted more of these two facing each other. Yeah that's a huge factor in itself why I liked Nightmare so much.

Nightmare is hands down among the most evil fighting game characters I ever seen!!! SCV Nightmare was a major let down. Thankfully he notably differs from how Siegfried fights. It's difficult to say whose fighting style I personally like more.

Siegfried fights more like Berserk's Guts. Who also wields a giant sword with ease. Nightmare is more like a powerhouse that doesn't show mercy. Siegfried also fights with a longer sword. If we were to include additional weapons they could wield.

Nightmare also could wield a more complete version of the weapon. It's the same version Night Terror wields. Night Terror is a more powerful form of the character that's a secret boss. In most versions of SoulCalibur III. Night Terror is absolutely terrifying in comparison.

Night Terror also had SoulCalibur similar to Abyss. Who was Zasalamel tested his crazy theory with combining both abyssal weapons together. Nightmare is a different ball game from Siegfried. The team always made Nightmare in cutscenes look bad ass!!!

Even for a few seconds seeing the character left such an impact on people. Now that's a testament how well designed the character truly is. Along Nightmare is around no one safe at all. I once entered an SoulCalibur tournament at Otakon many years ago as the character.

Unfortunately I loss the first match it's fine though. I would love to compete in another SoulCalibur tournament. Even getting pass the first match would be redemption for me. Yes I would likely play as Nightmare again. Indirectly he reminds me of Lord Deimos from Mace: The Dark Age.

Who also wields a long sword in another weapon based fighting game. Funny enough, majority of the characters fighting to get a powerful weapon. Siegfried himself does predate Lord Deimos while it's up to you on Nightmare. The precursor design does predate his design. The official design itself was a few years later in the first SoulCalibur.

Nightmare always been rather interesting to me. Yes he does manipulate other villain characters like Tira. It wouldn't be SoulCalibur without the weapon Soul Edge after all. I felt the original Nightmare worked amazingly well for it's time. A timeless fighting game villain that people wants more of. Yes even after that version was killed off.

I personally loved how they handled the character in SoulCalibur VI. Which acted as a newer take on the first SoulCalibur events. Easily one of my favorite appearances of the character. Nightmare has a strong presence in both Story Modes. I think I said enough Nightmare is easily one of the greatest fighting game characters!!!

I don't think there's much else I could've said that haven't already been said a thousand times!!! Nightmare is still among the most popular SoulCalibur characters. This might be just me here I really would love the character to appear as a future guest character in an Mortal Kombat game. Can you imagine how hype this could possibly be?

One of the greatest fighting game villains known for his brutality along with wrathful, reckless determination. He already would fit in incredibly well with the Mortal Kombat characters. I could see some truly brutal finishers it has the potential to be something truly amazing!!! Add in the possible jokes in the intros we got a crossover that should possibly renew interest into the franchise.

My thoughts on What was revealed about The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror 37

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I took a couple days thinking about what was confirmed about the upcoming The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror episode. Which was confirmed recently at a convention panel. They also given people a first look at the upcoming Simpsons movie. Which is suppose to come out twenty years after the first Simpsons movie.

They didn't confirm what the third and final story was. I apologize I can only discuss my thoughts on the other two stories. I actually found both of them strangely interesting. One of the stories is a twisted parody of Freaky Friday and Pet Sematary. Freaky Friday I believe recently gotten a legacy sequel. There's a few similar concept movies by now.

Where two people suddenly swapped bodies after they slept. They had to live each other's lifes unless they could swap back. We're adding in Pet Sematary from Stephen King that's mess up!!! The story involves a pet later a child died. The dad buried both of them in an Indian burial ground. Which caused their corpses getting possessed killing people.

If I understood the direction of the story correctly. Bart dead while Homer thinks Santa's Little Helper is but actually unconscious. Somehow the two swapped bodies with Bart getting buried there. Indirectly, this is a little similar to Treehouse of Horror VIII's Fly vs. Fly segment. Except this is more supernatural than science.

They also confirmed two of the writers had an argument. This argument became a joke within the segment itself. I always welcome when they parody Stephen King stories. I felt majority of them including Not It were done well. Of course, I'm excited to see how this going to play out soon. I don't think it'll get Pet Sematary 2 crazy though.

I also don't think it's going to be as difficult to watch as Treehouse of Horror XXVIII's MMM... Homer. Which is also based on a short story by Stephen King. I sorta imagine a few other Simpsons characters burying. A lot of quick jokes within seconds.

The real challenge being it's such a mess up concept that quickly turns people off. How exactly is The Simpsons going to make it entertaining for an family? Somehow they find a way to do it. Considering Treehouse of Horror 36, Bart been getting the bad end of the stick.

He literately died in every segment with the last happened off screen. At least they aren't having him killed repeatedly again. It's not often when the pets gets involve with Treehouse of Horror stories. I hope they don't reference the episode they quickly went through pets.

For fellow Simpsons fans you already know the episode in question. Where almost every pet they had in the episode dies. They eventually get a new similar cat to Snowball 2 that gets renamed after em. They might reference the three failed cartoon shows that literately gotten buried by the show again.

If it isn't obvious already this is a spiritual successor to Bad Dream House. The original segment that forever kicked off Treehouse of Horror episodes. Which also involved an Indian burial ground. Indirectly, it is similar to Treehouse of Horror III's Dial "Z: for Zombies.

Where the Simpsons kids by accident caused the undead to rise in a graveyard. I also do like when you could reference other segments to a degree. None of these stories are in the same canon though. It sure makes discussions quite interesting though playing off the what ifs.

The other confirmed story actually gotten me really hyped!!! I was absolutely mind blown they are actually doing this!!! They are going to do a parody of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Yes they will be doing it in stop motion. Which takes a long time to even do the little things. This might even get the record for the most time spend making an Treehouse of Horror episode just over that style animation.

Once again, Stoopid Buddy Stoodios whose responsible for Robot Chicken involved. Previously, they helped with Treehouse of Horror 35's Denim segment. They also helped in two cough gags on the show. In Season 24 and Season 28 respectively that were both great!!! They already working on two Robot Chicken specials.

This made the announcement of their involvement an bigger surprise. The last few years they been working with stop motion animation in their Halloween episodes. Last year, it was Plastic World in Treehouse of Horror 36. I loved it when they experiment with different animation styles. Especially when it heavily impacts the overall direction is deeply welcomed.

More recently they done that with Extreme Makeover: Homer Edition with their Joker parody. The Nightmare Before Christmas was a twisted Halloween and Christmas movie. Parts of the movie took place on both holidays. Considering a lot of possible directions they could go in. This has the potential being one of the finest parodies among the 2020 Treehouse of Horror episodes.

The assumption is this could be the final story. Slightly more time to work with more true in Disney+ version. I felt if they would've start with this. The rest of the episode quickly fall afterwards. You would be setting up hype too soon. This would kill any chance at being a decent Treehouse of Horror episode. We're talking a few minutes within the episode to pull this off.

Which is notably a little shorter than many cherish stop motion Christmas specials. Honestly, I wish they would've went bigger by making it a full episode like Not It. Even better if they would've went Disney+ exclusive episode route. This would've given them plenty of time in a few ways. They work on it more than most episodes on the side.

Disney+ exclusive episodes do differ in length. Which means they could go as long as needed to properly finish it. Considering this is stop motion we're talking about here. They really should've went this route for parodying The Nightmare Before Christmas. The expectations from people is going to be scary high as well.

The team wants to make Treehouse of Horror episodes scary again. Well this is your chance don't screw it up. The easiest part of the process is the voice acting. They easily could record every actors and actresses' voice overs in advance. They also can time voice overs to a degree. The overall movement aspect is what takes the longest by far.

Even Tim Burton had trouble to pull it off. He had someone else came in to help with the stop motion style. Burton made a few movies since that used stop motion. Disney also owns both The Nightmare Before Christmas as well as The Simpsons. This is one of those dream Treehouse of Horror segments people wanted for years.

I know it's crazy they waited thirty three years to do this. At the moment I'm curious to know what the final story is? We're getting a freaky body swap parody along with an ambitious stop motion one. How much crazier is Treehouse of Horror 37 going to be? You probably could tell I really can not wait to see this new Simpsons Halloween episode!!!

Agent 64: Spies Never Die (2026) review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I recently bought Agent 64 on Steam. I knew when I first saw a trailer this game going to be amazing. Surprisingly it lived up to my expectations. Yes it does live up to both N64 FPS games that inspired the game. Honestly, this is why indie developers kept my attention in recent years.

I want to make this crystal clear. I may mention some of the other modes you could play. This is largely focus on the single player campaign portion of the game.

Agent 64: Spies Never Die (2026)

You play as John whose an older agent that seemingly had unfinished business with Dominic. Whose more referred to by his last name being Pulp in the game. Even John's daughter Dana gets involved. At times the two complete missions while pursuing the truth. If it isn't obvious by now, John is directly referencing James Bond.

His daughter more inspired by Joanna Dark from Perfect Dark. Pulp reminds me of Mr. Blonde in a weird way. But he looks a bit more like Trent from the same FPS game. Despite at times the game doesn't register my controller. When it does, wow this game works perfectly!!! It even blows any Xbox controller on Perfect Dark XBLA version.

The title directly references Nintendo 64 trend of games ending with 64 or getting labeled with that number. Like Castlevania was just Castlevania but there's a few Castlevania games with the same title. People quickly called the N64 game Castlevania 64 to help differ from those. Spies Never Die likely a reference to Tomorrow Never Dies.

Agent 64 is way better than the movie game based on that Bond movie just saying!!! Some of the Bond titles referring to time as well as living or dying gets a bit weird. Tomorrow Never Dies then Die Another Day both starring Pierce Brosnan. The most recent Bond movie with Daniel Craig is titled No Time to Die.

Now I know I left out You Only Live Twice that had Sean Connery. But that title didn't mention a date. You can tell I might be a bit more into comparing these franchises than I originally thought. Sometimes it just comes out of no where like this!!! I do like when indie developers nails a particular retro vibe. I know a lot of them are more inspired by PS1 era especially horror games.

In every possible aspect is very similar to those games. More of the overall look being more Perfect Dark. Some locations being more on GoldenEye. The missions themselves are well designed. Thankfully it didn't just rip off either FPS game's campaign or we would've had a huge problem. There is fourteen main missions to complete.

Another issue that could affect things in a lot of ways is a lot of the locations are bigger than expected. Obviously designed these locations for multiplayer before the actual single player campaign. Which I don't have much of an issue with. Even the level you need to take out seven snipers. After a good while you get use to the distance.

Not to mention, you actually start with a sniper rifle. One frustrating thing is just like those classic FPS games. Every mission was designed to be replayed on different difficulty levels. Not even the issue people were funny about. Some didn't like you had to play missions sooner on harder difficulties to continue the story.

I'm virtually right in the middle on this. On one hand, you could use each attempt even failed runs to improve yourself. Also a few notable differences to keep things interesting. It's the other side of doing that on purpose to slow people down from beating the game. Yeah I will agree it's a bit annoying at first. Then it actually helps more than you think.

I didn't finish GoldenEye or Perfect Dark on the third difficulty level. I can tell the difficulty isn't as brutal in comparison. Yes do expect to die a lot especially suddenly getting attacked from behind. The biggest differences I notice is increase damage to you with one more objective to complete. Also more damage to the enemies before they die means more ammo used up.

I did finished some of the missions on the third difficulty level during the run. I can confirm Agent 64 nailed the difficulty balance. I would say this is right up there with those games. This felt just as smooth as Perfect Dark XBLA version. Honestly, it's tricky to nail that in this style of FPS games. A good mix of fast pace action with some objectives forcing you to strategize differently works well here.

Agent 64 truly does nail that era of FPS games. More directly that unique style of them quite well. As for the story the short version is Pulp cloned himself. Being essentially Baron Samedi in this game. Samedi appeared in one of the bonus missions in GoldenEye. Where you need to get the golden gun. Then kill him three times to complete the mission.

There's a few levels with clones that's an challenge to get through. They also all armed with an magnum that takes more damage than regular enemies. It's virtually Egyptian level on steroids!!! This isn't even the final mission either. The true final mission you might not even believe. You can see the inspiration of the Bond movie, Moonraker.

Which so happened to be direct inspiration for one of the bonus levels in GoldenEye. Yes we get to go out to space to end up on the moon. I don't know if that was inspired by the second Austin Powers movie or not. For people who seen that movie already knows. Dr. Evil had a giant laser built on the moon called the Death Star parodying the concept of that from Star Wars.

There's a good selection of weapons with a few notable gadgets. How you use your gadgets is more like Perfect Dark. The main antagonist is the original clone of Pulp. His goal was to bring an army of clones with more being created to take over the world. This comes off like Dr. Robotnik with twisted machinery on animals in a sense.

Both would be acting as the one will that commands their armies. Perfect Dark had the Skedar whose human disguise was a huge blonde muscular man. One of which went by the atlas Mr. Blonde. Who is playable in one of the bonus missions. If we add Timesplitters series into the mix. Timesplitters is more about saving time from an evil race of beings through out history.

Somehow Agent 64 would be right in the middle of Perfect Dark and Timesplitters respectively. I know the clone concept is widely used in many franchises. Yes even Blofeld made a clone of himself in one of the Bond movies. Which directly gotten parodied by Mini Me in Austin Powers series. Whose still among my favorite clone characters to date.

The point I'm trying to make is I'm not going to bash the clone concept much. I actually felt it surprisingly worked to it's advantage. It's a weird, mess up relationship. John killed the original Pulp years ago. The clones wanted revenge against him for killing the original. Even Avatar as in the blue alien movie franchise played off a similar concept.

I still find it interesting to be hated this much by clones of a person you already killed. What the game revealed about John isn't a bad person. Some might say the clones are a sore loser. I know eventually someone going to review this game going to say that. I actually like the main characters in this game. Pulp clones acted as the family's nemesis.

Some might even consider Pulp the world's biggest selfish prick. They wouldn't be wrong thinking that either. He wants a world filled with him I know that sounds so wrong lol. I meant a world filled with clones removing free will altogether is ridiculous!!! Considering Duke Nukem Forever: The Doctor Who Cloned Me campaign done some of this prior.

I felt the actual conclusion was a bit more satisfying than that. The clones in question would be directly parodying Terminator that's Duke Nukem theme. Both campaigns does actually end on the moon making this more interesting. I had more fun exploring the moon in Duke Nukem Forever. The final boss fight was a bit more interesting with a moon vehicle to drive around in.

Look I'm not trying to make Agent 64 look bad. I just wished they would've done a little more with the moon. It's technically more than Blast Corps on Nintendo 64 that's included in Rare Replay. I really didn't expect before getting that far we would end up on the moon. The concept felt like we went further than Moonraker to actually reach the moon speaks volumes!!!

In a way that's mirroring Alec Trevelyan as well. Prior to faking his death was among the finest 00 agents. It was stated those with a lower number among the 00 agents superior to the lower ones. Basically he was skilled to surpass Bond in many ways. Yet Bond still ended up winning against him despite the odds not in his favor.

John in a weirder situation against clones having such a grudge. Just imagine what if Trevelyan was cloned a lot you probably get this!!! I know on the surface it doesn't sound that bad. The clones do know the family well enough to make their lifes a living hell!!! Either eliminate all of them plus take out the machine making more clones or they die would end this for good.

I do like they attempted to make every mission different from each other. Like the museum level you need to set something in motion. But you can not blown your cover or fail the mission. Most of the objectives ended up being very close by each other. I also gotta mention the actual look of the museum was quite nice.

There's also a level in a nightclub that quickly took me back to Conker's Bad Fur Day. I felt friendly fire needs to be fixed a little bit. Some enemies are a little too accurate. Thankfully they don't instantly kill you since there's no checkpoints. The reason there's no checkpoints is usually each level. If you know what you're doing goes quicker than expected.

Which also plays into earning cheats you could use in the game. Yes it's set up exactly like in those FPS games. I hope you are up for an challenge, no I don't know all the cheats either. I also liked the game loads quickly even if I skip cutscenes. I do enjoy they recreated how those FPS games have dialogue more like GoldenEye.

If they would've went more Perfect Dark with voice overs could've taken a little longer to finish. Personally I'm already enjoying this indie FPS game!!! Agent 64 also has a few spots you'll find an Nintendo 64 game console. It can't be exact or Nintendo would sue them. There's also these masks secretly placed in the levels.

Destroying them unlocks challenges to test your skills. Some levels do come off a bit empty. The actual game play never gets boring at all. Which is tricky to do for an FPS game of this style. I personally see that common criticism being minor among a few other issues that actually took away from the game. I still felt this was a beautifully designed indie FPS game.

I actually felt Agent 64 nailed nostalgia perfectly!!! This felt like a spiritual successor to those games. Similar to UnMetal to Metal Gear series. There's a few other modes to further test your skills. I know the multiplayer section outside co-op in missions is more like Perfect Dark. Yes you also can make up your own game modes to play.

I hope they might make a sequel in the near future. It's a bit difficult coming up with ideas following the clones on the moon? Personally I would be more interested in seeing a prequel with a younger John. More like his early years of service likely meeting Dana's mom. Right now I think there's more to work with from the past.

I'm not saying they couldn't make a sequel to continue the story. They also need to be careful to not be too similar to James Bond, Perfect Dark or Timesplitters. Let's be honest, Bond has a lot of movies as well as books. Unless they're up to date every Bond story in existence. They are going to have a difficult time not writing a story or two similar to what Bond already done.

Perfect Dark is virtually a more futuristic take on the Bond concept. Which also brought in aliens making how to get properly around that difficult. Timesplitters is time travel chaos at it's core. They went through so many possible directions through out history. Considering all of that, a sequel would be an challenge to write.

A prequel could differ enough from 007 First Light or Perfect Dark Zero respectively. Another huge reason why a prequel would be the way to go about continuing the franchise. I am interested enough to start waiting for a follow up. Unless they confirm it's not happening. Otherwise, I absolutely wanna play the possible upcoming Agent 64 game!!!

There is online play for those who really enjoyed those FPS games. Agent 64 will take a few hours to complete. Honestly, I am deeply impressed they pulled this off!!! When I originally saw the first trailer I was instantly blown away. Going from that to this is a great sign you're in for quite a treat. Easily one of the finest 2026 games I played this year.

Update: as of August 17, 2026 I completed every mission on every difficulty without co-op.

Five Fullmetal Alchemist movie reviews (2005-2022)

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, recently I watched the last two live action Fullmetal Alchemist movies. After checking my posts, I didn't talk much about any of the movies previously. This is going to be an unique challenge with three of them formed a trilogy. I am also aware parts of this may get a bit confusing.

All I can promise is to attempt simplifying things. Two of them are anime movies that's similar quality to their respective anime shows. I will say the live action movies are not that bad honestly. Of course I do recommend reading the manga series. Both anime shows are decent that differs enough for a notably different experience.

This is covering a little over fifteen years. Even the worst among these Fullmetal Alchemist movies isn't that bad. I still could see people enjoying that FMA movie to a degree. You get to see three different takes across five FMA movies. Which by itself makes watching them all quite an unique experience. I will start with the oldest FMA movies working my way to the two newest FMA movies respectively.

1. Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa (2005)

This is essentially the true conclusion to the first Fullmetal Alchemist show. A notable amount takes place in a parallel universe that doesn't have alchemy. The actual factor into why is a bit disturbing. Envy was revealed to being a key to open up an universal portal. Alphonse in his human body looks a bit similar to his brother Edward.

They also revealed their dad's demise since he no longer can transfer his soul into another body. This was due to previously doing it on someone from a parallel universe. Effectively being trapped with a faster decaying process meaning his time was quickly running out. You also see several alternate universe counterparts to several characters of their universe.

Unfortunately Wrath doesn't survive following a fight with Gluttony. It's safe to say now none of the homunculus survived the story. This is more of a war movie with some characters caught between a war. One of the armies was planning to invade the other universe. Thankfully that doesn't happen just imagine how bad things could've gotten though?

For a first movie of the franchise it's a decent start. It's not my favorite Fullmetal Alchemist movie. But it's among my favorites for sure. I did like the idea of making an ending to more properly conclude the story. During the production of the final episode, they actually rant out of time. There's a notable gap with Dante and Gluttony that didn't get resolved.

The final episode had a few unanswered questions. But that's why this FMA movie was necessary in the first place. Honestly, it's a decent length with good pacing. It does sucks Colonel Mustang was forced to stay in that parallel universe. This was done to properly close the portal on their side. Which means someone was forced to stay behind.

It turns out the reason why there's no alchemy is strongly tied to the wars they have in that universe. The more deaths in their wars, the greater of alchemy usage becomes in the other universe. Indirectly playing off how a philosopher's stone is made. But their deaths fueled alchemy is such a weird yet unique concept.

I also liked they took all the time they needed to properly make this FMA movie. Not even sure if anyone expected this movie to happen or what myself? I know some people wished that missing, cut footage of a particular encounter to get shown. This was their answer to questions like that I respected. Indirectly I'm thankfully for that getting cut the way it did otherwise this movie wouldn't exist!!!

Thankfully the way this FMA movie was set up. You don't actually have to watch the show prior. But to better understand a few things I recommend watching it first. I would say you won't get the full experience if you don't watch both of them. The movie does deliver a satisfying conclusion. No question it's a must watch if you're a fellow FMA fan.

2. Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos (2011)

A little backstory begind how this Fullmetal Alchemist movie gotten created. It wasn't originally planned, early in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood show's production. They quickly gotten some ideas to make a FMA movie. Which isn't canon to clarify like so many anime movies. But it was a rather decent FMA movie.

The brothers meets a woman whose trying to find her brother. Which has a few surprising twists to that. For example, another man stolen his appearance. We're trying what he actually looks like without shape shifting like Envy. The actual brother was commanding an army. Both these men virtually wanted the same object for power.

There's some amazing visuals in this movie. Some great usage of the characters with some great moments. The only FMA movie without the homunculi. Which proves they could make a great story without them. Honestly, some of the newer characters that's exclusive to the movie works better than expected.

I know we all have different taste in things. I felt this FMA movie was beautifully executed that's mind blowing!!! You get a lot of surprises on the way that differs between being good or bad. They literately gave this movie everything they had despite things. None of it remotely felt rushed in any possible way. Being an non canon FMA movie means you can jump straight into watching it.

Trust me, this won't affect anything major. You might even enjoy it a bit more if you don't know enough of the franchise. To be honest, the way this FMA movie plays out is a little expected. The concept of anime movies being non canon is common. I do occasionally like some concepts they might not do in the actual stories shows up here.

To spice things up in ways you couldn't imagine!!! A major factor is they wanna get a few movies made. It's better to go into a more unexpected direction that involves not following the manga stories. Sometimes people gets surprisingly creative with anime movies like this one. I do think this FMA movie is a must watch especially if you're a fan of the franchise.

I will be honest, I haven't seen this FMA movie in a good while. There's a lot of stuff going on within the movie to keep track of everything. The movie constantly swaps between a few character's point of view. I will give the team credit this was beautifully animated. Somehow it seem even crazier than the previous FMA movie despite no universal crossing.

This also takes place in a different country. Not from anything else FMA related either. You kinda felt bad for the lady with everything. The Elrics gets heavily involve trying to stop both men. No I'm not trying to say the movie trying too hard either. You can tell they didn't rush the actual story. Despite at the time making a lot of episodes for that FMA show.

Alphonse's soul still bonded to a suit of armor. Just knowing a few things could take. If it were canon, this would've happened earlier in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I also felt they done a good job with the length of the movie. To me, this felt like the perfect FMA movie. Honestly, I was quite impressed after I watched this FMA movie.

I do like it's more of it's own thing. Nothing could've affected the canon story. This also allowed the team to be more creative. Just like the first Fullmetal Alchemist show. Following when it became more of it's own story following many chapters they adapted into the show. They went in with a rather unique concept that turned into a movie.

For being an unplanned FMA movie it does live up to many aspects people loves. This is a dark FMA story with a light decent ending. This was surprisingly ambitious for an anime movie. Somehow we ended up with a great FMA movie despite the additional challenge it faced. I'm glad they went for this FMA movie possibly making the author proud!!!

3. Fullmetal Alchemist live action movie trilogy (2017-2022)

1. Fullmetal Alchemist (2017 film)

2. Fullmetal Alchemist: The Revenge of Scar (2022)

3. Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Alchemy (2022)

I figured these movies in the same movie trilogy. Unless I specify otherwise, a large amount of what I'm going to say going to apply to the movies. This also speeds up reviewing all three of them. I still wanna point out particular things in the movies. Like two of them has mannequin soldiers. Which are artificial beings based on the homunculus.

The first actual usage threw me off. Which was near the end of the first live action FMA movie. All of them together fully covers the entire manga series. Some events happened either sooner or later. Some moments were notably sped up including ones people died. I will give them some credit though. All three of them stayed much closer to the manga series than expected.

I know some people could argue particular traits of a few characters not quite nailed. Then again why would you expect that for live action movies based on anime franchises in the first place? People always going to be funny even about the little things. No matter how they went about it someone always upset or disappointed over things.

These live long FMA movies are over two hours long each!!! I easily could've made The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit live action movies joke. I was mostly satisfied with the overall action. The actual character designs for the most part was decent. Yeah it's a little weird an handful of characters had different hair color from the manga series line Winry.

The locations all looked accurate to how they're suppose to look like. Yeah some characters with CGI is a bit weird. But I have seen worst CGI used than this. The second movie largely follows Scar that I felt was executed better than expected. The last movie was virtually what's left of the manga series. Yeah most of the homunculi dies with the possible exception of Pride.

I do have a notable criticism, the homunculi seem a bit too weak to the other versions. Thankfully it's not Michael Myers in Halloween Ends bad. But still I wish they would've made them a bit tougher except Sloth. I should point out two of these FMA movies came out a few months apart. The last FMA movie didn't seem that rushed.

Usually when you do two movies back to back. You easily see in many aspects how rushed they are from the original movie. I will also give them credit for somehow nailing that. I'm also aware the last two seasons of Squid Game was a similar situation. Yes I do plan to eventually resume the show to finish.

Just like I recently came back to finished what I started with the first live action FMA movie. I actually felt both the sequels were a bit better better honestly. You can tell the overall stories were more directly focused as well as connecting a bit better. Also no out of no place usage of a concept coughs the first live action FMA movie.

I might be crazy I actually would consider rewatching this movie trilogy. It's a massive step up from Devil May Cry show as well as Death Note movie I reviewed recently. This is more around the ball game what I might be able to recommend. Obviously the big recommendation is the live action One Piece show.

They gave a lot of care into making these Fullmetal Alchemist movies. Yeah some moments I wished were done a bit differently. A little better overall pacing could've went a long way. Yes I do agree these FMA movies when they get going like a speeding train!!! But they also do a decent job slowing down. It's not often you'll feel overwhelm while watching these movies.

Honestly, I don't think none of the FMA movies are terrible. I do agree the anime FMA movies are a little better. It's a shame most of these anime franchises doesn't get the same treatment. I will say some aspects what they done is in the right direction. Just don't go in with high expectations, these FMA movies might not live up to them.

Instead I rather you just watch them because you enjoy the story. Regardless if you read the manga series or watch anything to the franchise prior. Just try going in with an open mind with a bit lowered standards. Trust me doing that does go a long way. Honestly, these FMA live action movies were inspiring to me.

Death Note (2017) review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I will confess there's a few adaptations of a couple franchises I avoided for years. Out of the blue I decided to watch one on that list tonight. I had a few friends warned me it's a terrible movie. The movie in question is Netflix's Death Note movie. Recently I talked mostly about the manga series and it's anime adaptation.

Which are highly recommended compared to this being the exact opposite. I highly recommend you avoid this abomination!!! Yes I planned to rip this adaptation of Death Note to pieces. I think fellow Death Note fans might enjoy my review notably better than the actual movie. Supposedly a sequel is in the works I hope it gets canceled!!!

Death Note (2017)

This is a rather loose adaptation on the franchise. Keep in mind, this is an American remake. The basic stuff you expect was altered to better fit the American audience. Yes this now takes place within the United States. I got to be honest, I didn't like how any of the characters were portrayed. Especially Light being a massive disappointment.

Yes some select stuff sticks like his father still an detective. This also started while he's in high school. Yes Light still found the death note that ended up meeting Ryuk. A rather questionable change is Ryu no longer an shinigami. Yes folks you heard me correctly you wanna know which species he is now? They changed him into a demon was something I didn't even considered.

Light is not that bright compared to the original Japanese version. L now an African American rather than a British man. Which also was a bit questionable choice. Watari's appearance was alright with a rather lackluster usage of the character. Yes Light's dad is still heavily involved while at odds with L. Misa was altered into Mia whose a girl in Light's school.

They also made some questionable changes to how the death note works. In the actual story, this book as long it's possible can kill people other than the default death being an heart attack. They changed it to whoever name is written in the book must die by something physical. Basically this is a poor man's Final Destination movie in a nut shell.

I do agree the movie when L shows up starts to go a little too fast. They tried to make Light look smart he came off like a desperate stupid teen. Mia was more of a obsessive of the book to the point. She actually chose the book over Light that led to her demise. The two actually loved each other in this version. Originally Light didn't love her at all but pretended to in order to manipulate her.

L wasn't even that emotional in the actual story. At one point, he steals a police car to purse Light. Ryuk being voiced by a great actor was the one thing I actually liked. Even Ryuk himself wasn't used well either. Even parts of his appearance was notably to a degree. The movie treated him as if he was the devil.

We even had Light looking him up in a book. The actual kills are mostly brutal expect a lot of blood. We get to the point L would've cleared Light before he dies. If you wanna try figuring out exactly where in the story they stopped at. Obviously, they aren't going to do that here. L really wants to take Light in for these murders.

Yes the part with multiple detectives gets killed off. L taunted Light publicly to get under his skin. Yes there are followers of Kira in this version. Although it's questionable how some of them found out Light was Kira. Light also used the book to manipulate a few criminals to survive what Mia wrote to kill him. Which does bag a lot of questions indeed.

This is somehow less Death Note than Godzilla (1998 film) was Godzilla!!! You know that's a bad sign I used another poor transition from Japan to America movie as an example. I also felt the movie is a little long for it's story. I was surprised L didn't die despite things. You barely get to see his real name in the movie.

What's also strange is another shinigami originally was in the story for Misa. Her name was Rem not in this version at all!!! Mia stolen a page from the book to kill some detectives. Somehow this didn't register an ownership of the book situation. It is possible in the original story to write people's names down on a small piece of a page.

They literately stolen a page from that book. No she never made the deal for the shinigami eyes. L gets very unpleasant with Light in a few scenes. Don't go in expecting the classic cat & mouse. Instead you get the famous they already know you're the killer angle. It's a very predictable adaptation that doesn't live up to it's legacy.

Death Note actually had some clever written out arcs in the manga series. What you ended up with here is a movie that really doesn't understand what the franchise truly is!!! The entire movie felt like a rather uninspired, pale imitation of an adaptation. The overall vibe is notably off from what it's suppose to be like.

I know what some people are thinking. This is what you should've expect from most live action movie adaptations of anime franchises. I did expect that but what I wasn't expecting though? Death Note ended up being a very generic, empty shell of it's full potential. They better not adapt Mello or I'm going to be even more upset!!!

It's a real shame this truly was the best they could come up with!!! I may not much of it's production prior going in. What I do know is this felt notably rushed out. Like if they take too long or any other reason to lose a franchise. Someone else would end up getting that opportunity. In all honestly, this movie wasn't worth watching!!!

I was notably happier to previously not seen this Death Note movie. But now I have I could confirm it's an insult to the franchise as well as to it's fans!!! You won't get greatness instead you actually get a great reason to wanna go blind or something to make you pass out. As someone who truly loved the original story.

It's a bit embarrassing The Simpsons out done this Death Note movie. From what I recalled of the first three live action Death Note movies are way better. Yes that would include the spin off L movie. I strongly felt nearly the entire cast was notably miscast. Whoever wrote this doesn't properly understand the story.

This felt like a few changes ended up ruining a master piece. The changes weren't small to begin with. This doesn't even nail the feeling of a proper Death Note adaptation. Which is highly disappointing in itself. This book is among the scariest objects you write in I ever seen in any franchise. Somehow this book was made into a bit of a joke!!!

The entire movie would've been avoided if Light never picked up that book or let Mia in on that. Which further ended up making things worst. Light also could've turn himself in early before things gotten worst. I know some of that would've been a bit boring to people. But did you expect much prior going into this Death Note movie?

This movie is among my least favorite for live action movie adaptation of an anime franchise. Thankfully it's not nearly as bad as Dragon Ball Evolution. Yet I felt an handful of things I could find short lived enjoyment in comparison. Let's be honest, neither followed the source material well. I will say this Death Note movie is a disaster.

The only other good thing I could think. Even more so then it ends is don't watch it at all!!! Now some might view that being a bit harsh it kinda isn't though. This Death Note movie disappoints even if you're new to the franchise. Honestly, I love the idea pretending this movie doesn't exist. I hope some who felt the same way I do may end up doing the same!!!

Addams Family Reunion (1998) review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I previously discussed Addams Family Reunion a couple years ago. I finally set back to fully watch this Addams Family movie the proper way. Honestly, I prefer the direction the franchise heading in with Wednesday show. But people forget the 90s was a busy decade for the franchise.

I don't plan to review everything from that decade. I did want to give more direct thoughts on this particular Addams Family movie. What's a better way of doing just that then by reviewing it? This is currently the worst reviewed Addams Family movie. This is among the common knowledge people had of the movie before reading my review.

Addams Family Reunion (1998)

Despite the title, this has no connection to the other two 90s Addams Family movies. Some may remember a company called Saban. At the time, they were making American adaptations of a few Japanese superhero show franchises. Mostly being Power Rangers for a few decades. This also was the decade Saban made Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation!!!

Easily among their worst from what I seen. There was a period they made a few Addams Family stuff. It actually started with this Addams Family movie. Originally they planned to use that to tie into a show called The New Addams Family. Unfortunately that was a trend people started to get tired of prior to that show.

This also not to be confused with the 90s cartoon show called The Addams Family. Which I partly remembered growing up watching. Obviously the better 90s Addams Family show. I should point out two actors from the other 90s Addams Family movies reprised their roles. In a weird way, Christopher Hart through one of his hands as Thing.

Carel Struycken was the famous butler, Lurch. I hate to say this but neither actor was used well here. In fact, universally the one actor that truly stands out is Tim Curry. Who plays Gomez Addams, I ended up liking his take on the character. The rest of the family including Cousin Itt just doesn't stand out well. Especially Fester whose was overacting a bit too distracting.

Fester also altered a small dog that transforms over a command. The transformed form looks incredibly CGI that horribly aged!!! The actual pilot is just horribly done. The family becomes worried for their grandparents excluding Grandma Addams, the witch one. They get an ideas to take them to a retirement home that's sorta a resort.

A company being backed up on printing out people's family trees. By accident swapped the directions between two similar last named families you can see where this is going right? The short version is they met up with a different family who has one d in their last names. They also planned to murder an old relative for money.

Considering they were heavily aimed for a younger audience in majority of their shows. This pilot was a bit too much for that audience. Thankfully they don't actually kill anyone? There's the weird nuke scene that happened by accident. Most actual things that would've killed someone failed. I wouldn't be surprised that family survived the nuclear explosion.

Also why would Pugsley take such an explosive with him in the first place? I also should mention a young couple gets stuck at the Addams Mansion. They were stuck with Grandma Addams and Cousin Itt respectively. Yes they barely do anything with Cousin Itt is a huge disappointment. Somehow they done better with the monsters on Beetleborgs show.

No I'm not talking about the actual enemy monsters they faced on the show. The kids that often visits an phantom named Flabber, Jay Leno much? He's in an abandoned house with more classic horror movie style monsters. I know some might view that being generic even back then. But they actually played it a bit safer with the Addams Family I'm not kidding.

They do give the Addams kids a lot of screen time. I kinda felt Pugsley more like how the character suppose to be. I actually felt a bit disappointed by how Wednesday herself was portrayed in comparison. They do some crazy stuff it just doesn't come off entertaining. It kinda felt like they had to something while trying to act excited when they really aren't.

Yeah don't go in comparing this to the other 90s Addams Family movies. You will be very disappointed indeed maybe need a strong drink afterwards. The actual antagonist characters aren't likeable. They are mostly forgettable at their best. Even a smaller role with Clint Howard doesn't do much either. I preferred him in a movie called Ice Cream Man not a joke.

There was one character I did sorta liked to a degree. The grandfather that was targeted to be murdered by his own Adams family. He goes out of his way to help Gomez get his family back together. He also cut ties with his own family before riding off. I just wish they would've done a little more with him. Maybe more of that with a little less of Fester could've went a long way.

Yes I know Fester is my favorite Addams Family character. Speaking from experience being into so many franchises over the years. I have many favorite characters across many franchises. But I also don't have to like every single version of a character. Now that would be impossible on a daily basis to do. I just didn't care for how the character was portrayed in this Addams Family movie.

The actual pacing is rather inconstant. When the movie is slower it's rather boring. When the movie is faster you might miss something that's all. To be brutally honest, there's little to nothing that's actually interesting. Yes not even the legendary Tim Curry could save this Addams Family movie. Without question throw this one in a grave then pile up the ground.

My thoughts on Netflix's Devil May Cry show

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I recently gotten into the newer Devil May Cry show that's on Netflix. This won't be an review with the actual one coming in the near future. I just wanna share my thoughts as a huge Devil May Cry fan. I'm going to be honest, I don't plan to sugar coat anything here. I am deeply disappointed in a way I never imagine was actually possible!!!

Unlike the original anime based on the video game franchise. This is a rather loose adaptation that goes all over the place. If you're expecting the events to line up like in the video game series you'll be disappointed. In fact, it was confirmed the writer never played the actual Capcom games!!! This is becoming a growing trend among video game adaptations.

If that doesn't tell you what creek you're in. Don't worry I got a lot more to say to possibly convince you. To not watch this Devil May Cry show. This is set in it's own universe with many notable changes. Like Lady became a member of a task force taking on demons. They also changed one of her eye colors for some reason.

Originally she had a red and blueish green eye. Now she has red and blueish green that looks golden is a bit weird. They also changed how some stuff you expect an handful of characters to have eventually get on the show. Dante's voice over was actually his nephew Nero's in two of the Devil May Cry games. As much I respect Johnny Yong Bosch, he wasn't a great Dante.

For me, it's just like having Keanu Reeves play John Constantine in a movie. Yes I know he's reprising a role in another Constantine movie. Some of the characters just felt miscast. You barely seen pizza near Dante in this show is mind blowing to me!!! A couple famous boss monsters do show up. Some having rather questionable portrayals I couldn't get behind of.

I'm happy the upcoming Season 3 going to be the final season of the show. I'm going to say what I previously thought was impossible to do. Prior to this DMC show, I felt Devil May Cry 2 was the bottom of the barrel. Out of no where it gotten dethroned by this show. I haven't even mention the music selection is quite random at times!!!

I'll be more direct, a lot of songs used. Actually felt more like AMVs you find all over websites like YouTube. I am quite serious the way some of these songs were used was just like that. I even notice a few rare times the music was a little too loud to properly hear the voice overs. Now that's a sign of someone not checking the audio before finishing an season.

From my understanding streaming shows has more actual time to have episodes worked on. In comparison to the same process for making episodes to be broadcast on television being notably less. The original anime that had strict amount of episodes limit absolutely nailed that!!! Now that was originally broadcasted on television in a few months what's their excuse?

The kind of loose adaptation is what you usually expect from movies based on manga/anime franchises. Somehow it's even worst than those is rather sad!!! It's difficult to say what I possibly could've liked about the artwork. A major factor is how everything else was done heavily impacts that. Season 1 had the most unexpected story not actually pulled from the games or original anime.

I'll try to not reveal anything too major here. But I'm dying to rip a lot of it apart in the near future. This felt like they didn't barely understand what exactly is Devil May Cry. It's difficult to imagine in a way that somehow made DMC2 a little better. But a little better isn't saying much at all. I highly don't recommend either of those myself.

Here's a show that doesn't properly respect the source material neither the actual fans for that matter. Look I get there's a notable percentage of people that surprisingly enjoy this DMC show. But I also gotta question many aspects of your lifes!!! This DMC show has a questionable pacing situation. There's times it goes slower when they don't need to.

There's also times it's goes a little too fast to keep up. Sometimes there's a few possible things you aren't sure to keep an eye on. Like the first episode of Season 2 at a point being a good example. Dante's personality isn't even what it's suppose to be like from the actual DMC games. It's a bit more interesting than DMC2's personality.

Again that's barely saying anything at all. It's a similar situation with Dead Rising 4's Frank West. Sure changing out voice overs does affect things to a degree. What I actually heading towards was that's not the character we know and love. I easily could say the same about Dante on that DMC show. Even the original DMC anime nailed his personality way better!!!

I would even go as far to say DmC reboot game is notably better than this. Not only that, the actual stories being told was a bit too predictable to a degree. At times, I actually felt this was more like an Doom show. Which so happens to also involve demons as well as portals going between a few plains of existence.

If there was a Doom show then it would've gotten a bit of praise. But no this is meant to be an Devil May Cry show. You know at times, Dante going to do these crazy tricks. Honestly, the action isn't necessary bad just needed to be redone. The actual animation is a bit questionable. But I actually was talking about how parts of the fights were written.

In all honestly, kinda felt a bit uninspired at times. Where's the excitement like in the actual DMC games? Where's any actual creativity even among the little moments? I felt a lot of characters were poorly handled. Vice President was a bit too similar to Resident Evil's Albert Wesker. Considering in one of the live action Resident Evil movies he was the president.

Yeah not a great direction to go in. The actual President of the United States was like The Simpsons' rich guy that fires his guns while being excited. He actually does do something like that on the show. Parts of this show strangely reminded me just now another classic anime I absolutely loved!!! Blood+ that also heavily involved the protagonist with armed personal against the supernatural.

In this case I'm talking about vampires that actually is among the different demon breeds. You know what I felt like I just insulted it by comparing the two. Blood+ is way better in most aspects. Even for an alternative version of an anime. Honestly, I couldn't help to keep noticing humanity ended up being a little worst than the actual demons.

Let's just say there's a particular moment I really didn't like. A lot of innocent people taken out in such unpleasant ways. This show felt like they wanted to make something amazing. Instead what they actually made was an abomination of the franchise. This seems like a random kid concept done horribly wrong!!!

Season 1 felt like a big filler to the rest of the story. I personally wish they didn't focus this much on Lady. In fact, I was fine how little they did in the original anime. But I still would be open to any of the other supporting characters getting a game or their own show. Chances are those would've also been better than this DMC show.

You can tell they just don't know how to make a story. Maybe what it could've been is trying to line every major event more directly together. But all that does is rush all of that together in a huge mess. Oh wait that's this DMC show in a nut shell. More like a particular boss rush in DMC2!!! I even felt that boss rush was slightly better executed.

I am going to be brutally honest, I really do not like this DMC show at all. Sure as love who absolutely enjoys some blood & gore to a degree. Some of those was fine for my liking. But it wouldn't be enough to keep bringing me back to rewatch those moments either. I really hope Behaviour doesn't focus an Devil May Cry crossover on this DMC show or it'll be doom to fail.

To me, this felt more like how Mortal Kombat 1 changed parts of the story. But for DMC in a similar matter I just didn't care for at all. This DMC show is among the most disappointing based on anything shows I ever seen!!! Which is really saying a lot with the stuff I seen!!! In all honestly, it is best you forget this ever existed.

I wanna find a scary huge boulder to crawl underneath!!! I'll only come out occasionally like Patrick Star. I am kidding I wouldn't put that much effort to go that far. But I still do wanna say this show is a huge insult to everything the franchise stands for!!! I really can't wait until this DMC show ends up myself.

Happy Gilmore (1996) and Happy Gilmore 2 (2025) review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I finally gotten to see Happy Gilmore 2. I haven't even reviewed the original Happy Gilmore. Which is among my favorite Adam Sandler movies of the 90s. I may go out of my way to review both comedy golf movies. Yeah I will say it's a vastly different overall experience watching both of them.

Happy Gilmore (1996)

I have seen the original Happy Gilmore a few times. A rather rememberable comedy golf movie in a good way. Adam Sandler plays Happy Gilmore who ended up having a sports career change. A man he met convinced him to go from hockey to golf. A small part of this reminds me of Kingpin as in the comedy bowling movie.

Where Roy a former bowling champion convinced an Amish man named Ishmael to compete in a bowling tournament. Although Roy's rival Ernie caused Ishmael to break his hand. Roy himself ending up taking his place in that bowling tournament to nearly won it all. This is virtually the Golf version of that concept. Happy does get a rival named Shooter that gets very competitive.

He competed in a golf tournament to help his grandma. I felt Happy's character was more relatable in this movie. The actual humor was overall done better with a great cast. Considering this followed in the trend of the original Caddyshack that's a huge shoe to fill. Caddyshack itself was another famous comedy golf movie.

I also liked Happy's mentor so happened to be the same actor who played Apollo Creed in Rocky series. Rocky is notably more realistic as well as serious. I got to mention the replacement hand that also reminded me of that bowling movie. You actually see character development in Happy's journey. If it weren't obvious, Sandler's movie company is named Happy Madison.

Which took Happy's first name with Billy Madison's last name to make Happy Madison Productions. Billy Madison was another classic with Sandler. Which might be a little of a required taste though. Happy is widely known for his attitude. This is really focus on golf but in a more entertaining way. I personally find golf among the most boring sports.

Happy Gilmore is a movie that I could see a family enjoy watching together. I just hope they wait until their kids are teenagers. The shots Happy makes I don't think are possible to do in real life. You never knew with some athletes in some sports though. Honestly, it felt like just like the original Rocky movie. Where the protagonists are essentially the underdogs of their stories.

Yes it's true Rocky didn't actually win that final match in the canon of the franchise. It still led to a rematch in Rocky 2. This also reminded me of another comedy sports movie, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. Which so happens to have another comedian, Ben Stiller. Stiller plays a doctor taking care of Happy's grandma.

In that dodgeball movie, he plays the main rival that owns a big name Gym. The rivalry also led to a tournament, a rather fun comedy sports movie for it's time. I felt some of those comedy sports movies owe respect to the original Happy Gilmore. I will be honest I usually don't like football much. Somehow I actually prefer The Waterboy also starring Adam Sandler more.

A major difference is Happy playing golf by himself while Robert was a member of a football team. Just like the original Happy Gilmore made watching football a lot of fun. This might come as a huge surprise to my own fan. I always enjoyed The Replacements that's also a famous 90s football movie. There's some funny moments but more of a serious take on the sports in a movie.

The actual story played out perfectly I wouldn't change a single thing. There's a lot of moments that's easy to rewatch. Including the famous fight scene with Bob Barker. There's a follow up fight with Barker in a commercial that's also fun to watch. Surprisingly Barker was really into the joke of that concept.

Happy Gilmore is a classic if you're into the sport or a fan of Adam Sandler's. Some might view it a bit disrespectful take on the sport which is unfortunately coming up next. But I do think this golf movie is truly amazing at everything it does. I do occasionally enjoy comedy movies just a bit particular about it. Honestly, it's a must watch even if you don't like golf yourself it's a fun one!!!

Happy Gilmore 2 (2025)

As many people knows there's the trend of legacy sequels. Which does include Happy Gilmore 2 being among my least favorites. Even Sandler originally didn't want to do the movie. It took many attempts from his family to convinced him. Unfortunately the movie itself doesn't hide that fact well. There isn't very much I actually like about this golf movie.

Happy was doing well until he swung a golf ball that killed his wife. They had a couple kids with one played one of his real life children in the movie. His actual wife also in the movie as well. Some characters came back in ways I didn't expect. Like Ben Stiller ended up having a more notable role. Now he was running these group sections with people struggled with alcohol.

Following the death of his wife, Happy became a drunk. His reputation kept going down the toilet including playing with a group of rookies. At one point nearly killed all of them when he fell asleep driving a golf cart. Little to none of the actual humor was done well at all. In fact, majority of the humor felt rather forced as well as uninspired.

Shooter does return after spend years at a mental institute following the original golf movie. This movie threw some huge curve balls to the story I wasn't expecting. Happy does work stuff out with Shooter following a fight. Happy took part in earning a spot on a team to represent golf. The opposing team represents this weird obstacle theme golf matches.

It's a bit out there even considering Futurama had a more ridiculous variation of golf. Yet somehow that ended up being more actual fun to watch in comparison. I will be brutally honest, I didn't like how Happy's story was written. It should've been he fell to the bottom. Then work harder than what was shown in the actual movie to get back to the topic.

I could understand Kingpin's Roy because he had one of his hands severed. Sure both disappeared playing professionally while being drunks. I rather Happy simply focus more on raising his family. Then when he was ready to come back. He would return with help from his family to get his edge back. Which would've been a much better comedy golf movie.

Shooter was freed by a greedy sports business owner that also does sports video games. Not even Shooter wanted any part of what he's selling speaks volumes. If you aren't paying attention, Shooter joined Happy during the tournament. Happy gets a new rival played by Haley Joel Osment. I don't wanna open a rather unpleasant bag of worms.

Osment himself had a recent hard times with drugs. I hope like Bam Margera he possibly get back on his feet soon. His boss already cheating in a few ways. Including a rather questionable surgery that's meant to give the entire team the ability to do the perfect golf swing. The absolute worst part is it has virtually nothing to do with cyber enhancements.

In fact, you probably wouldn't guess it involves a shoe I won't say in what way though. Hey I gotta leave some stuff to the imagination. Happy Gilmore 2 is a huge step down. It actually felt like another sports movie I really don't like. Space Jam: A New Legacy just not nearly as bad. It's still not recommended to fellow Adam Sandler fans.

There's some newer characters that passed torches of some older ones. This is due to the fact, some of those original actors passed away. One of these newer characters was played by rapper Eminem. I usually don't enjoy rap myself honestly. Somehow how he goes about the genre I actually liked. I will confess I actually like listening to his songs.

I just wish he had a better role than this. Just like what led to Sandler making this movie. His family begged him to call this guy to do a cameo in this movie. Funny enough, Eminem actually wanted to do it being happy for the role. It's a little weird, another sports legend lives in Happy's garage. He does spend time inside the house in a couple scenes.

Happy Gilmore 2 I don't wanna see felt lazy it just came off that way. I would've been fine if Happy Gilmore never gotten a sequel. I actually wished Little Nicky would've gotten one instead. You can tell whoever wrote the move it's very inconsistent at times. We had this new caddy who previously was a waiter at a golf club.

At a point in the movie, this guy doing some amazing stuff out of no where. I also didn't like Happy's cursing was notably censored. Not in a somewhat enjoyable way either. I wish I could've said this golf movie had something. The actual villain characters are all poorly written. Hell I'll give my greatest insult I possibly could ever give this golf movie.

So here it is Mr. Sandler I'm absolutely not sorry for what I'm about to say. This movie felt like a very bad rip off of Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. Considering Happy competing to help his family out. The main antagonist owns this sports brand with a strangely felt attitude. Honestly, I felt everything that dodgeball movie is done way better!!!

This also could be I actually like volleyball to a degree. Happy Gilmore 2 doesn't have anything great at all. The opening is alright with a lackluster ending. The entire movie felt like an after thought. As a Sandler fan, I did expect the movie to be a little rememberable. Maybe a somewhat alright golf movie at that.

To be honest, I really can't say those things about the movie. Happy Gilmore 2 is a movie I wanna pretend doesn't exist. I probably would've been happier to not seen the golf movie. Especially don't even go in comparing it to the original you'll be very disappointed. Honestly, this movie just felt like it's stuck in time just like Dumb and Dumber To.

I really tried to wanting to root for Happy in this movie I just couldn't. I also gotta mention, he literately has hidden spots for liquor around his house. Including some stuff you wouldn't expect wait did Q from James Bond help supplied him booze? This should've been a fun sports redemption movie. Instead Sandler may written the character to be a bit too unlikeable.

The whole being down on his luck with liquor should've been a much smaller part of the movie. I strongly felt there's plenty of changes including some smaller ones. Easily would've made this a little better maybe alright golf movie. Yes there's a new character similar to his mentor. I kept noticing one of his arms was a bit too long.

The movie itself felt forced, rushed with barely any room to breath. Even with his kids being a very notable presence in the movie. Even those characters was mostly meh at best. Ben Stiller's character gets chased while on the verge of resisting arrest. Suddenly ripping off Dumb & Dumber with that? Even parts of it's sequel was a little better than this!!!

Happy Gilmore 2 felt more like Depressing Nomore to me. The actual humor was dated similar to that movie. Honestly, Sandler did look rough not shaved as well. I know for the direction he went for, he needed to have that. I actually was referring to how he went about some aspects of the character. Even Stallone made Rambo worked amazingly well in Rambo: Last Blood come on!!!

The original Happy Gilmore felt like life of the party. This one felt more like everyone left, there's a huge mess. No one stayed to clean it up while the police suddenly knocks on the door to arrest you. Oh wait parts of this movie felt just like that!!! It's even difficult to pick an handful of smaller moments you might enjoy.

To me, this golf movie is easily among the absolute worst I ever seen!!! Easily the most disappointing considering Caddyshack 2 had something a bit small. This movie shouldn't had been released in the state it's in. I know it's exclusive for Netflix even I felt they should've had higher standards than this!!! I strongly felt this is one long golf game where a player just can't get the ball in the first hole!!!

Ghostbusters: The Video Game (2009 version) review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I checked my posts I can't believe I never reviewed this Ghostbusters video game before. I haven't played many of them myself. I always respected the first two Ghostbusters movies. To a degree from what I seen of The Real Ghostbusters cartoon show I liked a lot. I'm a bit familiar with the franchise in question.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game (2009)

Before I get into it I'm also aware there's a remastered version. I still haven't played that version this review will be on the Xbox 360 version. Although through a friend I have seen actual game play of the Wii version that notably differs in a few ways. Essentially this would've been the third Ghostbusters movie continuing after the second movie.

Unfortunately the last time the original four actors reprised their roles before Harold Ramis passed away. You play as a recruit that's working with the Ghostbusters. You get to explore many locations including a few familiar places. Yes Slimer is in the game among a few notable enemies from the franchise. Like Stay Puft Marshmallow Man adds to the intensity.

You can get upgrades that improves either features or aspects among your proton pack. Yes you get to caught a lot of ghosts. Some enemies you actually destroy with many references. They even referenced The Angry Video Game Nerd's Ghostbusters NES ending screen joke. I also liked the more you play, the more cool stuff you could find at head quarters.

At one point, Sigourney Weaver was planned to reprise her role. However she declined that ended up changed her mind. By the time she asked to get involved, her character was replaced by a new female character. Personally I think it was awesome you get to work with the Ghostbusters. There's some creativity within the level designs I originally didn't expected.

Difficulty wise from what I played I felt it's balanced that might've been a little too easy. Some of the other actors reprised their roles as well. The fact I played what truly felt like an actual Ghostbusters movie was mind blowing!!! Some of the main antagonists are referenced. I should mention Brian Doyle-Murphy, Bill's brother also in the game.

He plays the mayor that gotten possessed by the main antagonist. A rather scary one that can alter the lay out of the afterlife!!! Yes you actually face a ghost that can alter a particular plain of existence is truly next level stuff. Somehow the Ghostbusters always finds a way to win. This video game was before the third live action Ghostbusters movie with a female cast.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife ended up being the true Ghostbusters 3 movie. I actually view this game being in a possible alternate timeline. The actual pacing can differ to a degree. There's times you gotta move fast while other times you need to move slower with caution. This was right before more licensed video games that's decent started to show up more often.

I could criticize the title but also glad it just isn't titled Ghostbusters either. This was a huge love letter to the fans. I wished some levels would've given you a little more freedom to explore. I also wished they didn't make sure every power up given to the player during a single run either. What we do get was a master piece.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game held up amazingly well on it's own. The voice acting is very decent of course it is!!! They truly went the distance with this one. I should also point out there's an indirect sequel game called Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime. Which is sorta like Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon show I don't recommend though.

The actual look of everything was done incredibly well. Some of the levels looked better than they actually did in the first two Ghostbusters movies. This might've been the most hype I ever been for anything Ghostbusters. To me, this was my dream Ghostbusters video game it lived up to my expectations.

I know I didn't mentioned this when I quickly discussed Ghostbusters for Dead by Daylight license survey 2026. I still say this is among the best things in the entire franchise. It's debatable which ends up being your absolute favorite? Honestly I prefer they sticked to what we loved about those Ghostbusters movies.

I'm a bit funny with franchises that changed out teams coughs Power Rangers. Ghostbusters was like for ghosts as Men in Black was for aliens if that makes any sense. Both movie franchise in the earlier entries took place in New York. I could imagine some chaos going on involving ghosts and aliens. Now I would love to see those two franchises crossover in something not Fortnite.

Ghostbusters was a rather unique concept for it's time. People would hire the Ghostbusters that sorta came off like eliminators for insects or rats. But they actually had specialize equipment to capture ghosts. A notably lighter tone helped made the first two Ghostbusters movies rewatchable. It felt like a great mix of times to be scary while other times it's time to get people laughing.

A decent Ghostbusters movie, show or game needs to nail that or I consider it not a true Ghostbusters experience. Yes this video game absolutely nailed that perfectly!!! Ghostbusters: The Video Game felt like a much needed return for the franchise. In all honestly, there's not much more you possibly could ask for.

Ghostbusters doesn't have many decent video games. I wish the famous Ghostbusters Sega Genesis game would come back. If you think about it, this game is what led to the current direction of the franchise. I know some might argue because people didn't like a particular Ghostbusters movie. I didn't think it was that bad of a movie.

The whole female cast thing wasn't even among my issues with that Ghostbusters movie. My big issue was being a rather uninspired retelling of the first Ghostbusters movie. In comparison, this felt like it truly belongs with the first two Ghostbusters movies. At the same time, the game found ways to stand out from those movies.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a must play if you're a Ghostbusters fan. Also if you're one of those people that can't get enough ghost shows. The campaign will take a few hours from start to finish. There's also an easier time to get right back after you fail during the levels. It's not common you'll get a little confuse what to do which is usually some of the later levels.

I also must say this license video game didn't focus on DLCs. They actually focus on what truly is important for the fans I respect that!!! Of course, you can destroy stuff to a degree within the levels. Which is unavoidable at times while dealing with harder to caught ghosts. At the same time, some of those ghosts getting captured is satisfying.

Even the little things truly stands out in a rather huge way. I'm glad a version of the game still available on many platforms. Some might not like the tutorial being a bit over bearing as well as holding your hand. I rather have that then just get thrown in with confusing controls with virtually nothing to go on. This was an amazing Ghostbusters game that stands out from the rest.
