Of course, I loved the family a lot with majority of my favorite characters. It's a little tricky to pick which one I love the most? Although I always knew who exactly was my favorite from a young age. I grew up with the two great movies in the 90s. Both of them focus around a particular member of the family. Fester Addams is my favorite character in The Addams Family.
Fester originally Morticia's uncle that later became her husband's brother. I don't fully know the story why that was changed. What I do know is I absolutely loved some of the actors' performances as the character. Especially Christopher Lloyd as Fester was really great!!! It's even funnier since Lloyd played Dr. Emmett Brown in Back to the Future series.
He later played a live action version of Rick Sanchez from Rick & Morty. Suddenly made things even more interesting right? Fester always had a similar appearance across most of the franchise. He is a very pale man that's bald wearing a brown outfit. He's widely known for being the mad scientist of the family. Some versions often gets blown up or shock on a daily basis.
The crazy part is at times he enjoys such pain. I think he became Gomez's brother to make some situations more interesting. This also could've been done to have the character be around the family more. Fester easily steals the show in many versions of the franchise. Fester's intelligence differs between versions that somehow plays to his strengths.
I will speak a little of what I have seen of Wednesday show version. He's more of a clever criminal that used to be partners with Thing yes the hand character. To me, this is among the most interesting versions of the character. I was hoping for a particular professor whose played by Lloyd funny enough. They might recreate a moment from Back to the Future 2.
You know the scene where present Doc has a quick conversation with his past self. Yet he's careful to not reveal himself to his past self or one of two outcomes could occur. Doc wasn't chancing the bad outcome to happen. The past Doc was busy getting stuff ready to help get past Marty back home. The professor could be busy with stuff while Fester sneaking around while having a conversation with him.
Suddenly that moment goes full circle but someone else is Fester on the show. Yes I had this idea since I found out Lloyd came to the show trailer. Fester is among the kindest members of the family. At times among the most interesting depending on versions. At times, the craziest stuff happens because of him. Essentially in most of the franchise he's comic relief.
He acts as a missing link between the family. Some versions gets angrier than other versions. His main appearance being the most consistent aspect of the character. Fester is a surprisingly fun character in the franchise. He's even willing to do crazy things for fun or out of curiosity. At times, he tries to help his niece and more often his nephew.
It's no secret Pugsley is close to his uncle. Actually Wednesday show version inherited Fester's electricity manipulation. Fester kept being used as parts of the plot in most the movies. Like The Addams Family (1991 film), he lost his memories going by the name Gordon. In it's sequel Addams Family Values, Fester gets married to a serial killer.
She originally planned to kill him for the money. She forced Fester to stay away from the family. Both newer CGI animation movies done weird things with the character. For me, if Fester doesn't stand out it's not a good representation of the franchise. I know some might be a little funny about me saying that. People also were funny about Luis Guzman playing his brother Gomez.
The Addams Family was similar to The Munsters but being more goths than actual monsters. Of course, the two had some strong similarities. I think more people find The Addams Family a little more iconic while The Munsters being more unexpected. Fester is a character that's difficult to recreate. He's the family's crash dummy that had endured worst testing than the actual crash dummies.
If he were a wrestler he'll be like Mick Foley who had a notable history of getting hurt in matches. Plus more extreme because Fester often doesn't shy away from danger. He's literately willing to attempt recreate musician Bob Dylan going electric but more extreme!!! Fester is what helped kept the franchise around for a long time.
Fester could be exactly what you're expecting or you're about to get mind blown? I eventually wanna dress up as the character for an upcoming Halloween. Fester has a rather unusual style that works amazingly well. He's a timeless character that the world can't get enough of. You know it's going to be great when Fester plays a notable role in whatever it is.
Fester started in a few video games not great though. I would love for a newer Addams Family game to play as the character. It doesn't even need to be based on Wednesday show either. I simply wanna cause chaos as Fester with plenty to work with. This by itself could be a truly fun video game concept. Fester always meant a lot to me for a long time.
In any form of media, the character stands the test of time. Even the changes made doesn't take too much away from the character. Now that's proof Fester was a well thought out character as well as great writing. Originally The Addams Family started in comic strips. Some versions of the family is a little wackier than expected.
Fester is in majority of the franchise. I'm glad he isn't stealing the spotlight from his niece on Wednesday show. But he occasionally gets some rememberable moments there. Fester is a person you aren't sure about when you're around him. He's willing to do almost anything to help especially family. Just imagine he's the one setting off the fireworks you bet I wanna see that!!!!
He may say you're safe but in truth that's exactly when you should be afraid. Nearly every single time he says it's safe. Everyone knows it's the exact opposite about to happen. Some versions are a little harder to predict than others. I felt some of them are among the best written characters within those versions.
I bet a lot of people even as a legacy skin would really wanna play as Fester Addams in Dead by Daylight. I would go even further than what I previously said about everything. It might even be a little exclusive to this character that's how much I love Fester Addams. The very moment he gets announce coming to the game in some form.
This is a summary what's going to happen don't actually expect it to be done just like that. I plan to buy the game on Steam. I also plan to get a brand new computer with additional parts for better overall performance. I also plan to get a few dollars saved up to buy the character day one as soon as he becomes available I hope.
I'm willing to spend a lot of money with the game going through major changes included. I wanna go bigger just to play this one licensed character. I know some people are thinking that's a bit ridiculous. Ridiculous should've been Fester's middle name. Especially if it's the Christopher Lloyd version!!! Now I know right now Wednesday show version more likely going to show up.
Yes I do like that version a lot myself. But Lloyd version in particular was a major reason why I gotten into the franchise in the first place. You bet it really would mean the world to me to have that version in the game. Sadly it's more likely going to show up in Fortnite. Wednesday show already crossed over into that.
Fester is a character that works way better than anyone could've ever expected!!! The character often brings chaos with a side dish of a smile having the time of his life. He's the guy if he's in a great mood could easily bring more excitement to parties. I do think Fester is a character that always going to entertain people of all ages regardless which versions.
