My lineup for a future Capcom Fighting Collection game

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I been really enjoying these fighting game compilations since 2022. Several people online already threw out their picks for a future fighting game compilation. I figured why not do the same here? There's still a lot of Capcom fighting games left to choose from. Usually would exclude any licensed games but I'm making a few exceptions.

Capcom Fighting Collection 3

1. Ring of Destruction: Slam Masters II

2. Rival Schools: United by Fate

3. Star Gladiator - Episode 1: Final Crusade

4. Tech Romancer

5. Heavy Metal: Geomatrix

6. Spawn: In The Demon's Hand

7. Final Fight Revenge

8. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

Ring of Destruction would count since it never gotten ported. It's a lesser known sequel to Saturday Night Slam Masters. The original itself included in Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium. Both are awesome wrestling style fighting games. After playing a few games in Capcom Fighting Collection 2. I would like to play both Rival Schools and Star Gladiator soon.

Still a bit weird they went with their sequels. But I guess they had to create some hype for a future collection. Tech Romancer is similar to Cyberbots where you pilot mechs to face each other. Often labeled as a spiritual successor to that. I'm up for some giant robot action myself. Spawn: In The Demon's Hand with it's own spiritual successor, Heavy Metal: Geomatrix for arena style fighting action!!!

One of the best Spawn games I never gotten to play. The Angry Video Game Nerd episode made the game so awesome!!! I even felt his creator would allow Capcom to bring that Spawn game back. Final Fight Revenge isn't a good fighting game. But considering they recently brought back Capcom Fighting Evolution.

It is safe to assume any or all their fighting games could come back in some form. I kept seeing people requesting for their JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fighting game. I actually missed out on a newer port of that JoJo game. I felt right now with Part 7 being animated. Capcom could bring it back again with a decent lineup of classic fighting games to spice it up.

I didn't considered their licensed beat 'em up games. To be honest, they never directly confirmed if they were looking into them. Just directly their older fighting games up for consideration. By now everyone knows The Punisher Arcade game gotten into MvC Collection. However that started a series of deals as well as a legendary partnership through out the 90s.

It doesn't look up we're getting a third entry in Capcom Arcade Stadium either. Otherwise I also would've listed both their Dungeons & Dragons beat 'em up games. They already brought back both their classic Arcade fighting Mega Man games in Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium. Of course, I had to mention their Alien vs. Predator beat 'em up game.

Just imagine the lineup plus those amazing licensed beat 'em up games. Even with crap like Final Fight Revenge you wouldn't care. I don't wanna give off the wrong impression. If we get a future entry it might be the last one. Even if that turns out to be the case. I just hope the same team working on that. All three of these fighting game compilations been truly amazing!!!

The other big issue is having licensed games shortens how long this collection could be available for. As long all parties are sticking together. I just don't wanna find out a few months it's already gone. Just when I could afford the collection is something I don't wanna experience. Yes MvC Collection is all licensed video games.

The previous MvC game compilation didn't stay up longer than a few years. Then again, Marvel directly brought them back with the newer game compilation. This time, all parties sticking together means a longer than expected shelf life. Also considering Capcom Fighting Collection 2 split between 2D and 3D fighting games.

The emulation going to be amazing when a newer entry comes out. We also don't know if some games they already brought back could show up as well. Which would make things confusing but at the same time bring up a lot of discussions. You could get a lot of their arcade fighting games outside these fighting game compilations.

I am talking mostly about Street Fighter series. This also could mean we could get an SF exclusive fighting game compilation that doesn't suck. It really depends which direction Capcom wants to go? They may face backlash bringing any of those fighting games back again. Although for some of them the newer ports would bring a lot more to the overall experience.

Capcom could do a lot with the theme. I just don't think a follow up to their Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle going to happen. Honestly, I been absolutely loving how they been with these fighting game compilations. As long as they don't alter things too much. A future entry going to be quickly welcomed to new comers.

I'm sure some of the big fighting game streamers/youtubers going to be happy to play some of them again. The door is open for the possibilities. Capcom could easily throw a curve ball or two with the lineups. On the bright side, they even made Capcom Fighting Evolution something I could play to a degree.

If they could do that then I'm not worried about Final Fight Revenge in a future entry. I highly doubt they bring back the original Street Fighter again. They already brought it back a few times with Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium being it's best port. Still a real pain to play though. The only other issue is they may go through more engines within these fighting games than previously.

This means the overall emulation going to be very tricky to pull off. Some could describe it as trying to emulate an Sega Saturn game on an emulator. But possibly more complex just not quite many platforms outside Arcade included situation. I do think Capcom going in the right way going to knock it out the park again.

Who knows what the next actual lineup going to be? I am assuming in the near future possibly late 2026 we may hear something. I don't think we're getting a new entry this year. I was surprised Capcom announced two of them close by each other. There's still a huge enough release gap to not feel too overwhelmed.

What I do know is they always do a truly amazing job in every possible way. Sometimes the surprises you don't expect has such a huge impact. Like playing as previously unplayable boss characters could be awesome depending on games. We knew Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper had a lot of modes? Of course, I want enough replay value to keep coming back to em.

More recently, these fighting game compilations been more worth it than newer actual fighting games. Seriously who wanna put close to double maybe triple the price of those games in? In a few rare cases I'm fine with that. Considering those handful of newer fighting games actually worth the additional money.

Let's be honest, I knew I couldn't stay on that greedy train. I rather have more guarantee solid fighting game experience with as less DLCs as possible. Long term these fighting game compilations really packs in the game play justifying their prices. Capcom Fighting Collection 3 is likely getting nominated for a future Best Fighting Game award.

There's a huge chance even if I didn't play it yet I'm going to vote for it. No disrespect towards Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. I still felt Capcom Fighting Collection 2 should've won for a few reasons. But I'm more okay with that than Tekken 8 beating out MvC Collection. Especially since Season 2, Tekken 8 fallen so much!!!

Suddenly my vote for that MvC Collection felt justified. I do think Capcom going to make sure a newer entry going to be amazing. I know a lot of people wish Crossplay was a feature. Even if they don't do that people still loving these game compilations. Personally I wanna play em by myself. Online can get rather repetitive turning people off.

Honestly, I have a very high standards for this fighting game compilation series. They even made Red Earth among the biggest surprises in early 2020s. If they could do that just imagine what else could be given such a great come back as well? I always waiting patiently to play a newer entry. None of them either disappointed me even with removing or changing minor stuff.
