Jack Red reviews Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Warning this will be a lengthy blog review of a classic horror game. Trust me when I say just like playing it, you should take breaks to maintain your own sanity or you could be serving Dracula.

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I recently gotten Castlevania: Symphony of the Night earlier this month for free. I got it while I still had gold making it a free game. WOW I miss playing this on my Xbox 360. I beaten Dracula several times on Xbox One already. I actually got a warning amount of stuff to talk about.

I haven't played many Castlevania games. To be honest, this is the first Castlevania game I beaten. I got a lot of fond memories playing this game. I am not going to hide it, this is one of my absolute favorite Castlevania games of all time. There's so much content on one disc. Oh ok back then similar concept games had multiple discs on the same console or those on Sega Saturn.

So I'm very mind blown they got it on one disc is truly impressive. This follows Castlevania: Rondo of Blood not to be confused with Dracula X on SNES. A few years after Dracula was defeated, Richter suddenly went missing. Alucard whose Dracula's son decides to take his father on once again. According to a line Richter said, it was a few centuries since he last fought Dracula.

Unlike Castlevania 3's Alucard, this game really made sure to have him stand out. I am not kidding they added some RPG elements that never over stay it's welcome. You can grind by killing enemies or destroying particular candles for money. You also can equip stuff that does affect more than your stats.

Honestly this & Darksiders II are the very long games to nail how I prefer to play a game with those elements. I am not going to lie, just going through one gigantic castle will take you hours. Just imagine having to do two of them? There's plenty of rooms as well as enemies you will come across. Yes there is a learning curve for a few things.

Thankfully in Alucard's campaign, most of that you will quickly adapt to. There is only one merchant in one particular spot in the entire game. By the way I do have an announcement, as of a few hours ago. I gotten every achievement in this game. Yes even getting 200.6% completion one that was frustrating to do.

Well oh okay with great stuff as well as the back tracking it isn't that bad. What makes it annoying is finding some well placed hidden areas. Some of these areas involved getting in the water. Unless you got Holy Symbol, you will take constantly damage as long you're in it. I love for every major problem, the game has a solution.

The sound track is amazing with mostly great sound effects. But you knew I have to talk about the voice acting. Let's put this way it's alright but not really something to remember. Like the original Resident Evil had some cheesy voice acting with some hilariously bad lines. Even with X-Men Arcade with a select few engrish yes that's a thing is better than this.

There's plenty of places to save with fewer teleport locations. These allows you to move directly to a particular area. One of the most annoying flaws this game has without question is waiting to come back after you die. I would've been fine with game over that goes a lot faster or the option to continue.

Why do you have to wait so long to get right back in your save is beyond me. There's a lot of bosses more than your usual Castlevania game. Basically imagine Castlevania 1 & 3 bosses not including sub bosses. Now that's a lot of bosses to keep you busy. I highly recommend getting Beryl Circlet before facing Galamoth.

This guy will whip the floor with you fast. Thankfully while using Beryl Circlet, I was able to finally beat him. I would even go as far to say he's the most difficult enemy to kill in the entire game. There's plenty of amazing art work all around this game. Some of the special effects are among my favorites in this series.

Hard to believe for a decade, most who had the game didn't realize they were only playing half the game. Yes if you don't meet up with Maria to get Holy Glasses. You won't be able to save Richter thus getting the bad ending. I kinda like it isn't set in stone allowing you to go for the inverted castle. Some boss fights are two of them at once or only once three of them at the same time.

I highly recommend learning what you can about the bosses as well as some enemies. For example slime enemies can only be harmed by fire. Otherwise they are immune to whatever else you got. I really love how they went about using the maps in this game. I know all of this & more is a lot of information to take in.

The game itself is over whelming yet works with you at the same time. I do have one major complaint about this game. I don't own an Sega Saturn thus doesn't own the Saturn version of this game. I thought how they worked Maria in with several exclusive enemies was better than Richter's. Believe it or not, at the beginning of Alucard's campaign recreates Rondo of Blood's final boss fight.

This is the only time you will be playing as someone else in Alucard's campaign. Among beating the game in Inverted Castle unlocks Richter mode. You start up a new save typing in Richter to get started. This is sorta a mix between old & new Castlevania style that doesn't fully work. Oh ok this is essentially for many people a speed runner game in this particular mode.

Richter gets all of his moves from the start while you have to perform Alucard's. Yes you also can buy some of them but for a particular achievement. You must perfect all eight of Alucard's moves with a select few being frustrating to pull off. Richter isn't capable of fully exploring both castles. You don't even have to fight every boss.

You heard me correctly, depending on your game plan. You could be facing a couple of them or a handful like I did for the achievement. He doesn't tank damage that well in comparison. Some areas are more difficult to explore due to abusing his jump move that in some spots can be very annoying. One particular spot took me longer to get through then most of anything else in the entire run.

Richter does have some of those whip tricks from other classic Castlevania games. There is no story at all being told during this mode while Alucard's being full of them. A handful of boses like Richter, Dracula & Death aren't present here. Oh ok I can understand two of them but why isn't Death? Obviously Alucard is going notably slower while you can quickly playthrough it as Richter.

In all honesty playing as Alucard is where most the fun ends up being for me. Sure sometimes I have some fun with Richter but it's mostly frustration I feel. Speaking of frustration attempting 200.6% can be tedious. Don't worry I will do my best to explain what to do. Obviously defeat every boss including Galamoth.

You also need to fully explore everywhere in both castles. It should say on your save 200.4% after you do all that work. When you start the cut scene with Shaft. You should get it otherwise you are missing something. I recently heard of a glitch that temporary allows you to get 200.7%. But I wanted to do it more my way.

I recommend constantly looking over the maps while watching a few videos. Especially those showing where the hidden areas are. Keep in mind, what you do in one castle you must do in the other castle too. You get so much stuff to work with from stuff he wears to weapons to relics to familiars.

Yes I do need to mention there's five familiars you can have to help you out. They too also can level up to make things a bit easier. The weirdest part maybe this is just me. One screen Alucard has access to sorta looks nearly identical to that of Final Fantasy VII. I'm not a Final Fantasy fan but any means. I do know a friend who wouldn't waste any time to say something about it.

Obviously they led to a handheld Castlevania games of similar concepts. This could've inspired along with Metroid series, an genre going strong especially in indie video games. To be honest this isn't my first of those style games I done everything in. No that honor goes to Batman: Arkhma Origins - Blackgate on PC.

To be fair, this is a very good Castlevania games even with it's flaws. I am very surprised Konami didn't do additional deals with Castlevania Anniversary Collection. I would've as a preorder deal on Xbox One. Also include Castlevania: Symphony of the Night now how insane would've that been? Of course Sony could've done something similar with a 2 in 1 that also has this game.

The more I think about it, James Rolfe on his The Angry Video Game Nerd show. Directly in one of his Castlevania episodes was very right what he said about this game. If I were to add it to my Castlevania ranking. I would say it is around above Super Castlevania IV but below Castlevania III. It does deserves to be played by more people.

I am well aware like in many game franchises like the case of Resident Evil 4. This game not only became a gateway Castlevania game. It also started it's own fan base that was fighting against older fans. Honestly I'm more of a fan of classic Castlevania. I do still really enjoyed this master piece of a game.

Jack Red reviews Scream series including the show and Scary Movie

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I'm a huge fan of both Ghostface & Scream franchise since a young age. Considering season 3 of Scream show ended last night. I figured why the hell not, I'm going to review it all right here. Honestly I couldn't be any happier how this year treated the character Ghostface.

I also want to review the original Scary Movie since it's a parody of Scream series as well as I Know What You Did Last Summer. Interesting enough, Sarah Michelle Gellar was in both franchises. I want to get it all out. I bet some of you are surprised I liked Ghostface this much right? He always been one of my favorite slashers among Freddy and Chucky respectively.

I already reviewed all four Scream movies, I will be posting a link just in case you wanna see. https://jackred1989.blogspot.com/2016/10/the-final-week-of-halloween-thon-5.html

1. Scary Movie (2000)

For the record most of those movies sucks. The only other one I could recommend is Scary Movie 3. But my favorite always has been the original Scary Movie. It does a great job parodying Scream series making it even more comical than those movies are about horror movies in general. The mask for Ghostface in this movie later got owned by the same company behind the official one.

But they chose to not sold it due to confusion among their consumers. I also think because in the movie, that mask does alter a lot with some mess up facial expressions. Let's be honest that sounds more trouble than they're willing to try releasing it hoping without a serious situation occurring. What's more interesting is Dimension Films also released this movie.

Yes the same company the released all four Scream movies. Now that's rare even among parody movies to have the same company that done the movies it's parodying to release it. In my opinion, this movie holds up better than most parody movies. In my mind, this was another Scream movie to me.

Two actresses later got better roles to not come back in some of the later Scary Movie movies. Mostly Anna Faris whose on the sitcom Mom. This movie doesn't hold back on parodying other horror movies at times like The Blair Witch Project. Which is surprisingly among the author Stephen King's favorite horror movies of all time.

Honestly I grew up watching this movie a lot. It still is one of my favorite parody movies ever. Let's be honest, some of the newer parody movies are just so bad & not in a good way either. At least Scary Movie went in with some great jokes. I'm a huge fan of a few scenes including wazzup lol. Man it brings back a lot of memories just thinking about this movie.

2. Scream show seasons 1-2 (MTV) 2015-2016
There's a reason why I'm doing two different reviews on Scream show. MTV done two seasons with some of the same cast. This played heavily on secrets they hid from each other. Honestly I was surprised how well done the kills are. I do think in both seasons, the story does drag on a little too long.

At the same time, they stayed true for the part to the concept. Keep in mind, they didn't have the copy rights or okay from the costume company to use Ghostface. On both seasons, the killer is called Lakewood Slasher. They had to come up with a different mask that's sorta similar. Let's be honest it can't compete with the classic one.

Although I do like that mask for what it is unlike most Scream fans. You can kinda tell this is an MTV show because how they interact with each other or usage of music in general. I should mention season 2 ended with a Halloween special that was in two parts. Sadly due a lot of likely problems, they chose to drop this story line about Brandon James.

This also means we will never know who the final killer that killed the second killer actually is. You got to hate cliff hangers. Some characters are alright for the most part. Emma is essentially Sidney of those seasons. I felt MTV did the best they could but chose questionable times to air these episodes. Just changing when they came on would've helped a lot.

You do have to be patient about getting up to the killer's reveal. Actually there's an interesting fact about season 1 that not a lot of people know. Everyone including who was going to be the killer didn't know who it was until that point in time during filming. Honestly I loved they attempted that making it even more intense than it needs to be.

Overall this show is much better than I was expecting. The kills are mostly great at times with some alright ones. Lakewood Killer characters do the persona similar enough to Ghostface for me to like it. Believe it or not, Wes Craven was involved to a degree prior to his death on this show. I could recommend it if you want more Scream.

3. Scream show season 3 aka Scream: Resurrection (VH1) 2019
Say hello to the newest entry on this blog. Scream show season 3 aka Scream: Resurrection is a huge improvement in many ways. For starters, it actually doesn't suck unlike Halloween: Resurrection.  This is an original story separated from the first two seasons. They got permission from the costume company to use Ghostface this time.

A major complaint about the first two seasons was no Ghostface. Although Lakewood Slasher is essentially an alternate Ghostface in it's own right so I failed to see the problem. This is also the shortest season to date with six episodes. Yet I felt they did a great job giving us a full story that doesn't over stay it's welcome.

Thankfully there is no unresolved ending or story here. They actually got the voice of Ghostface, Roger L. Jackson to reprise his role. Keep in mind, some horror movie franchises are doing shows. I still say Ash vs Evil Dead hands down is the best one I ever seen without question. But this season of Scream show is for sure up there in my book.

The kills are amazingly well done this time around. I think one of the biggest surprises was Tony Todd appears on this show. One of my absolute favorite moments was his character fighting one of the killers with a hook hand. This is the closest we'll probably get to Ghostface vs. Candyman. I got very excited when that scene started too.

Scream: Resurrection is very true to it's name. It is a reboot that actually does not suck unlike majority of them. I would even go as far to say it's one of the very best in the franchise to date. This comes off like three two hour movies put together for a complete Scream movie worth watching. I am well aware this is currently mixed among it's viewers.

Trust me I understand due to the fact, it got moved on VH1 channel that's also a heavily music channel. Although they are more likely to air movies from time to time there. Another unexpected surprise is the actress Queen Latifah is one of this season's producers. Then again the comedian Chris Rock is doing the same on the upcoming Saw movie so whatever.

Out of all three seasons, I felt the twists was the best done. This might come off as the most predictable as well. I am very happy to say Ghostface was used for very well by two different people. Scream: Resurrection came back after three years with little to no word up til recently as of last month.

Sure it isn't as big of a time gap as Scream 4 from Scream 3. At least they took the time to make sure Scream 4 didn't suck. I actually think Wes Craven is smiling down on how well done this season actually is. I also felt the characters are more easier to relate to this time around. I felt they did an amazing job keeping stay to the movies while being it's own story.

Top 5 Ways Vigilante 8 is better than both Twisted Metal III & Small Brawl

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I felt to show more respect towards Vigilante 8 by making this following list. I think by now a lot of people are aware of Twisted Metal III & Twisted Metal: Small Brawl. In my opinion, this franchise was never meant to be light heart humor that's heavily tone down. I felt just by playing Vigilante 8 on Nintendo 64, I had more of my money's worth in comparison.

5. Better endings

Let's be honest most endings in Twisted Metal III are very bad. It makes the cheesiness of the cut live action TM1 endings look like a master piece. I wasn't a huge fan of Small Brawl's endings either. There's a cut ending for a hidden character that a lot of people possibly got offended by. What I liked about most Twisted Metal games is Calypso allows such ridiculous possibilities in their wishes.

You would think somehow those of Small Brawl would've broken that to a degree. I mean come Mr. Grimm's ending in Twisted Metal 2 led to most people dying in a few days. All of that so he could feed off their souls instead of doing his job. A major problem with Twisted Metal series is most games never confirmed which endings was the canon ending.

Only a handful of them was confirmed like Outlaw in TM1 & Sweet Tooth in the newest entry. I actually liked every ending in Vigilante 8 happens. Yeah everyone including Y the Alien has canon parts to the story. Oh wait I'm not done yet, Most hidden characters in Small Brawl like Twisted Metal 4 doesn't have endings.

In both cases, there's no information to go on about what we were suppose to see. I just had to state Calypso clearly wasn't following the rules in TMIII. If you listen to their bios that has terrible voice acting. Most of them was going to wish something other than what Calypso ends giving em. Not only he ignored what most their wishes are but also twisted them in stupid childish ways.

I would've said that for Small Brawl. At least they did more to attempt fitting the concept. In that game you are playing as one of many remote controlled toy vehicles instead of actual vehicles. The only ending that breaks away from how most of them was done is Mr. Grimm's ending. In most endings, Billy Calypso had everything they wanted that may not be exactly what they wanted.

In his particular case, Billy had found a mysterious place where it's Halloween constantly. Within minutes, Mr. Grimm gets over whelmed inside. Keep in mind Calypso usually has powers that allows him to virtually do anything. To sum it up also throwing in Twisted Metal 4, all three of them at their core really aren't Twisted Metal games.

4. Better controls

There's something about the controls that makes Twisted Metal III more frustrating to play. I felt Small Brawl had tighter controls but Vigilante 8 on N64 nails it. Honestly in most Twisted Metal games, you get to use one weapon at a time regardless what you have. In Vigilante 8's case, you can have up to three of them at a time.

They pulled this concept off perfectly I'm impressed. If you know the short button combination you can do a freeze attack to stop enemies. I don't even need to mention some vehicles are easier to control than others. Vigilante 8 has much better thought out controls making it a lot more fun to play. Honestly Twisted Metal: Small Brawl's controls sorta comes off as a step backwards.

3. Better level designs

This shouldn't be a no brainer one for those who love these style games. Twisted Metal III has too small of a size levels. I just got to ask why is it necessary to have two slightly different versions of a hidden level? Parts of Small Brawl levels can be frustrating due to the hazards. I would even go as far to say the hazards are at their worst here.

Some of these hazards has a hidden icon to allow you to control it a little bit. Among hitting enemies does a lot of damage to them. But they also could use it against you. There's a level if you don't bounce off a trampoline correctly kills you. Keep in mind, this trampoline is strictly placed to test how good you are with the controls.

If I'm playing a car combat game, I want bigger levels that doesn't have hazards like those. I rather play Vigilante 8 since you can avoid most of the hazards easily. You also got a lot of nice sized levels with parts of the environment you can destroy. I also think due to you have missions does help. I don't simply want to kill everyone in a level.

Sometimes I want to explore, most of these objectives does allow you to do so. I also liked you get to play as all members of both groups. Which does tell you who to expect you're going up against. There's no real filler for Twisted Metal series. You will be facing several characters repeatedly. Probably due to most of them are fighting alone against everyone else.

2. Better specials

I strongly felt most specials in both Twisted Metal III & Small Brawl aren't that great. In fact, most specials in Vigilante 8 does keep up the game play to a degree. For one, they're specials are even more different than those of Twisted Metal series. In Twisted Metal series, most specials can be easily avoided.

This isn't the case in Vigilante 8 since there's more homing ones. Some specials doesn't give you many options. I would say Y the Alien has the most damaging special move of all three games here. What I'm trying to say is you have to use your head more in Vigilante 8 because of those specials. Especially after taking a powerful one being low on health.

Twisted Metal series does have some great specials. Sadly I'm sticking directly to my least two favorites for this blog. Twisted Metal III didn't really try improving on classic specials either. I can say Small Brawl did try but it could've been better than that. At least Vigilante 8 made it fun to use & going against specials.

1. Better boss fights

In Twisted Metal III, it's selection of bosses is questionable at best. I mean we take on Darkside at Washington D.C.? Minion returns against in a level that wasn't fitting of his character. At least his vehicle looks way better than TM4's yeah I said it move on. Primeval is supposedly a friend of Calypso to challenge who was left.

Oh ok why would you invite any friend to be in a contest filled with death & destruction? Now going to Small Brawl with more limited information. Both bosses similar to Twisted Metal: Black & Head On has a force field. Trapper no not Dead by Daylight's The Trapper, he doesn't really rely on setting traps to get you.

Also why do you face him on a mini golf course makes no sense to me. Piecemeal is rumored to be Billy Calypso's vehicle. Essentially a compositive vehicle made from parts of other vehicles. The weird part is you face him on and off during a move theater level. Trust me this level is very annoying for many reasons.

I liked most bosses in Vigilante 8 has a purpose being there for that character. Only one characters gets to be a boss for two of them. I also liked they come shortly after the last wave of opponents is destroyed. Which isn't that different from Twisted Metal series except for Piecemeal and those of the newest entry.

Now I know I wrote a blog very recently saying the bosses are overall better in Twisted Metal series. If you cut it down like I did, you'll get more of an idea which Twisted Metal games I was actually talking about. Vigilante 8 nails the boss fights way better than both these Twisted Metal games. The fact you can play as everyone is crazy enough.

Bonus reason
Y the Alien

I figured why the hell not give you a bonus reason. I also threw it in there to show I do so happen to have a favorite Vigilante 8 character. Say hello to Y the Alien possibly the most unique character. Keep in mind, to this day Twisted Metal doesn't have any playable flying characters. OMG the work that goes in to simply play as this guy.

Trust me it is really worth going the extra mile. Y the Alien is piloting an small UFO that can move way faster than anyone else. He also has the most damaging special in the game. Oh wait it gets even better, his story has an extra level fighting everyone. He is essentially the solo neutral character. This guy can be very difficult to avoid.

The controls works perfectly for this character too. He can easily searched the map faster than any other character. Y the Alien is a lot of fun in the other modes of play too. Basically when you play as this alien, you could almost guarantee victory. I would even say he's the easiest character to memorize out of everyone.

Top 5 Reasons Why I Like Twisted Metal more than Vigilante 8

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I figured to show a little of my Twisted Metal pride. I wanted to do something that would show what I liked so much about those games for a long time. In terms of competition, the one name sticking out is Vigilante 8 series. So I figured why not do a Top 5 list about why I like Twisted Metal more than Vigilante 8.

I do want to clarify a few things before the actual list. Yes I actually do enjoy playing the original Vigilante 8. I do plan on getting the sequel when I can. I always been a huge Twisted Metal fan since my child hood. In fact at one point, I did own all five PS1 games. I also had both major releases on PS2 as well.

5. Twisted Metal 4

Before any Twisted Metal fans lose it. Please let me explain, yes the same team behind the train wreck that is Twisted Metal III also made this. But it actually isn't that bad of a Twisted Metal game. Sure the time line is an incomplete mystery also due to some endings not in the finished game. Most endings we do get isn't great.

Let's be honest Rob Zombie had the best ending in both those Twisted Metal games. He also allowed some of his songs to be in both games. I kinda liked the concept that Sweet Tooth takes over the contest. I do enjoy most levels in this particular Twisted Metal game more than some of them. This is still the only Twisted Metal game to create your own vehicles.

I also liked the intro to this game for a long time. Of course, I do have one major problem with this game. I heavily felt it has way too many bosses for a car combat game. Usually it is two to three bosses but here every level had a boss with two having two bosses at once. They greatly improved over Twisted Metal III in a way I had a blast playing this.

4. More interesting level designs

Obviously in this category it's up to which one you ultimately prefer. Well I can name more levels I like in Twisted Metal games. Including a particular level from the canned Twisted Metal: Black sequel. Some levels have depth you wouldn't expect that in some games led to unlocking characters. Over the years, they used a lot of ideal places.

Who doesn't remember falling off the famous Rooftop level from the original Twisted Metal? They even had a level straight out of a Jet Moto game since the company behind both of them at the time. Sadly 989 Studios also ruined Jet Moto's reputation. Some of these have interesting concepts even with little things that you constantly looking around for more.

3. The bosses

Not to piss any Vigilante 8 fan off. I am aware in the original Vigilante 8, every playable character has a boss at the end of their story mode. Honestly I do wish Twisted Metal would've done that concept. Despite that, you do face more bosses in Twisted Metal games. Some of these bosses do stand out to this day like the original Dark Tooth.

You have to face him twice with the later simply being a giant flaming clown head. Hell they went even further with Tower Tooth in Head On, the biggest playable boss vehicle in franchise's history. Most bosses are in great vehicles that could out last most of their competition. Of course, some of them aren't playable without a cheat device.

I kinda liked how Twisted Metal has done boss fights in general. In the newest entry, there's a giant boss centered around the three characters. Now those all caught me off guard. I really wasn't expecting a very different experience between all three of them. Hell I felt more challenged against the final bosses than a handful of bosses in Vigilante 8 that took me awhile.

2. Sound tracks

I swear I didn't include this to piss people off. Both franchises has great sound tracks. In this particular case, Twisted Metal has more of what I liked. Yes even Twisted Metal III or Small Brawl had good songs. I felt in those games members of the original team successfully chose the right songs with great sound effects in the game play.

Only three Twisted Metal games to date has licensed music. The later Head On Extra Twisted Editin does not count. There's just something about how they use the music to match well with the game play. Also I felt with the direction of it overall is dead on with this franchise. Twisted Metal is meant to be dark not kid friendly or light that's loss identity.

1. Twisted Metal: Black

This shouldn't be a surprise to many people. I'm a huge Twisted Metal: Black fan, Along with Grand Theft Auto III was one of the games that convinced me to get an PS2. I am really glad I gave this game a try. This takes part in an alternate darker universe. I felt everything about it was done to perfection.

I know most Twisted Metal fans would choose either 2 or 3. Honestly I have to choose Black in this case. The way the stories all plays out comes of like a series of horror movies. Which are all incredibly well made. I have to say it has the best voice acting of the entire series. I felt a handful of characters including my personal favorite Sweet Tooth was at their best in this.

Sure this is one of the toughest Twisted Metal games in existence. Yes there does exists an online version that's mostly for online play. Unfortunately I never got a copy thus go to play it. I felt the level designs are among the best in this franchise. I also liked having a save unlocks Mecha Sweet Tooth in War of the Monsters.

Oh way it gets better than that folks. Twisted Metal: Black did later inspired the newest entry. Although the live action portions are more to make up for cheesy endings in TM1. Twisted Metal always was meant to be dark right down to it's very core. This would be the closest I imagine that in this game without question.

Death Battle Fight Prediction Aang (Avatar the Last Airbender) vs. Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist)

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I personally haven't even seen a single episode of Avatar the Last Airbender. But due to some interesting fights over the last few years. I do know just what I need to know for this prediction blog. Thankfully I already knew Edward since I seen both animes. I quickly got what these two had in common.

Usually Death Battle excludes filler material with the possible exception of Goku vs. Superman fights. But in this particular case, they could allow Edward's feats from the original FMA anime. Personally for this blog, I'm giving him everything I can possibly give to help even out this fight. Honestly this is an interesting fight maybe not the best fight of both franchises but a good one.

Aang

Aang was a kid that left his home to suddenly ended up being frozen for a century. It has been said a chosen one can bend all the elements to a level most can't. Aang is part of that legacy of amazing warriors. He does his best to protect those he cares for even at the cost of his life. This guy might even be considered the best of them.

Edward Elric

Edward Elric attempted to revive his mother with his brother Al. But this led to Al losing his body. Thus forcing Edward to bond his soul to a suit of armor losing another limb in the process. Both of them gotten better at alchemy to the point they shortened it down to a simply clap. Edward is a guy you really don't want to over estimate especially some of his feats.

Powers and Abilities
Aang

+Airbending (manipulating air itself)
+Waterbending (manipulating water itself)
+Earthbending (manipulating earth itself)
+Firebending (manpiluationg fire itself)
+Energybending
+Avatar Spirit (only those part of this legacy)
+Medium
+Chi Sensing
+Agility
+Sometimes uses a staff

Edward Elric

+Alchemy
+Trained by Teacher
+Automail limbs

Weaknesses
Aang

His physical body is younger than his actual age. Which could affect him in several ways. If he or those a part of that legacy dies while in Avatar Stage, the cycle ends. Also he does get carried away at times.

Edward Elric

Edward's automail parts has a history of breaking. There's several ways to prevent one from using alchemy. He can be quite arrogant as well as cocky for his own good. Besides transmuting parts of the earth, haven't done so with other elements.

Advantages
Aang

+Physically stronger
+Capable of bending more elements
+Has several ways to prevent Edward from using alchemy
+Much faster
+Quicker reaction speed
+More durable
+More overall experience
+Avatar Stage is simply too much for Edward to handle
+Has stronger will
+Not as emotion as Edward
+Has more impressive victories under his belt

Edward Elric

+Automail limbs can tank a lot of force
+Edward is more unpredictable out of the two
+Much smarter
+Combat training from someone Fort Briggs never caught
+Through alchemy can alter the location or create weapons or change the metal of his automail

Disadvantages
Aang

-Aang is technically at his more vulnerable while in Avatar Stage
-Dying in Avatar Stage ends the legacy
-More likely to lose focus during combat
-Not as smart as Edward

Edward Elric

-Automail limbs has a history of breaking
-Overall stats is heavily in favor of Aang
-None of the methods Aang could use Edward can stop from using alchemy
-Not as experienced (yes even if I bring both anime time lines in)
-More emotional out of the two
-Usually had help against some powerful enemies including Father
-His combat skills from Teacher wouldn't matter even against Aang not using any bending skill

Verdict

End of the day this is very clear cut to the point even FMA fans would understand. Before I go into why I think Aang easily wins this fight. This is a case of how a different kind of story affects it's main character scenario. You know kinda like Goku vs. Superman but in a very different way. Edward was a alchemist that wants to give his brother back his body.

Thus both animes undercovers a lot of unpleasant truths. Sure there was some combat moments. It wasn't a major factor in how everything worked. Edward discovers some government cover ups in his journey. Of course in the name, alchemy plays a major role. Although it turns from a story to essentially reviving his brother to something much greater.

On the other hand, Aang is part of a legacy similar to characters like Link from The Legend of Zelda series. Unless one of them dies while in Avatar Stage, it will continue on to another person. This by itself could take a long time before a chosen one appears. Every avatar has unrivaled ability to manipulate earth, air, fire & water.

Aang has stopped some major tragedies from happening. This guy was frozen for a century before he was able to learn his true purpose. His story had a stronger fighting impact to how it plays out. Thus he was more likely to evolve into a better fighter because of it. This also means he has been through more physical tests for further character development.

Basically Edward isn't a fighter first. Also alchemy is usually use to manipulate one element. There are rules every alchemists must obey. Originally Edward with his brother Al had to draw a circle before using it. They shortened it down to a clap since the symbols was on Edward's gloves as well as on his automail arm.

There is ways Aang can prevent Edward from using alchemy in this fight. He could destroy or knock off his automail arm. Last I checked, Aang does have enough force to do that. Another way is bending earth to trap him in place, similar things has happened to Edward before. Of course, Aang through Energybending can simply remove that ability altogether.

Now this is a possibility due to late in the manga shortly after Father was defeated. Edward accepted to no longer use alchemy to have his brother back. So if The Truth aka the voice of God can do that then Aang should be able to as well. There is always a chance his automail parts could break down making that even easier.

In just comparing stats alone, I think most of you can agree Aang is simply too much. I know some upset FMA fans could bring up something like this. "Oh Edward did defeat Father." Oh ok even if this was a great point while it's not. Father was already weakened by his father losing a lot of souls. Shortly afterwards, a lot of characters kept attacking him to weakened him down.

Ultimately he was low on them when he made a fatal mistake of trying to kill Greed that way he was doing. Which led to his entire body becoming the most vulnerable thing there is. Thus making it even easier for Edward to kill him. So I technically can't count defeating Father as a big enough feat here. Especially when Aang has more impressive victories under his belt including some solos.

Even if they allowed him to transmute water like how he killed Sloth in the original anime. Whose a water based creature yeah he only done that once. We seen more usage of alchemy on the earth itself. Colonel Mustang uses it on fire while on a even quicker method. Aang can bending the elements to a degree Edward can not keep up with.

Of course let's see both weren't allowed their abilities. Who would likely win in a hand to hand combat? I got to be honest, Edward doesn't use this skill often while Aang uses it a lot more. I believe Aang would easily win in that regard hands down. The sad truth is even with his small advantages over Aang.

There really isn't much Edward could do to win this fight. Aang trumps him heavily in stats, experience and actually designed with combat in mind. To be fair, Edward isn't a bad opponent for him. A lot better than Harry Potter lol. Edward is going to try his very best to even attempt harming Aang.

Winner: Aang

Ghost Face coverage

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, hopefully this might be my last Dead by Daylight/personal blog for a while. It depends on many things. I figured due to my long break from the game. I should give Ghost Face his own coverage blog. I felt there's a little more I want to share with you guys. I don't want any secrets between us?

I do have one confession I must tell everyone. There was a little more to my story why I like Ghost Face so much. I did grew up with the first three Scream movies. I also grew up with the original Scary Movie. I used to watch this movie a lot back in the day. In my mind, it was a forgotten Scream movie.

Of course, I also knew it was a great parody of that & I Know What You Did Last Summer. There isn't a lot of good parody horror movies out there. To clarify more on why the developers couldn't get the mask & movie license. It turns out the mask did appear in stores a few years prior to the original Scream.

At one point, the people behind Scream was going to make a similar mask but didn't want to get sue. So they were able to reach a deal that led for that mask to be used in their movie. More recently, Scream show is finally using the famous Ghost Face character including the mask. Funny enough, a lawsuit did happen with another movie called Screamers.

Eventually it didn't go far in court. I might review the show in the near future. Considering it's back for three nights next week. This seems like a huge year for Ghost Face. Honestly I liked the persona is inspired by slasher icons like Michael. You see not many slashers would talk in these movies. Along with Freddy, Ghost Face does often taunt victims.

Basically a crazy horror movie fan or fans that wanted to recreate one in real life. Essentially anyone could be wearing the mask. I felt he stands out more than just talking. His mask is always one of my absolute favorites in horror movies. There's just something about how he uses that knife. Ghost Face is more on the lines of someone whose more than a simple stalker.

You have a small group of people clearly manipulating people like a strange chess game. At the same time playing it out exactly like a horror movie. Now that to me comes off like a work of art. Obviously that's a lot of work to pull off. I am a huge fan of Scream series as well as the show. I will save some thoughts in case I do choose to review it.

I am still very happy Ghost Face is in Dead by Daylight now. When I looked up his video game history. It turns out his Dead by Daylight's appearance is his third yeah who knew. His original video game appearance is Scream 4 on mobile phones or devices. Funny enough, it does remind me based on the footage similar to Friday the 13th: The Game I'm not kidding.

Ghost Face is more than just a persona shared by people. It is a concept truly bigger than all of us put together. For some, all it takes is just one bad day. Maybe Saw series drew some inspiration from Scream series. This character is in a lot of pictures on the internet like many horror icons. Scary Movie so happens to be one of the original titles for Scream.

You just can't help noticing it does pull things from some of the Scream movies. Obviously the mask is very different. But hell I would love to wear his wazzup mask lol. Robot Chicken used him in a Big Brother parody before. Ghost Face may not have powers except for his DBD appearance but in other ways ends up being terrifying.

The simple fact someone close to you could be the killer is enough to put chills right down your spines. Ghost Face brings humor in a way you wouldn't expect. As stated a few times now, yes these killers play it all out like a horror movie. They also in their own way parodied them to a degree. It is more of that humor you wouldn't expect & likely going over your head.

Ghost Face in general is an homage to slasher horror movies. Those make a ridiculous amount of money including bad ones I'm not kidding. Slasher for those that doesn't know is more centering around a particular killer. Sometimes there's more than one killer. How people dies compared to other types of horror movies in itself can be confusing to talk about.

I felt the real reason to go in that direction was because it simply worked the best to his original concept. Wes Craven has a lot of horror movies under his belt including a handful of Freddy movies. Ghost Face is one of his last major creations. Now I think about it, Scream series & New Nightmare in a way are similar movies.

Honestly I am happy to watch the original Scream growing up. Scary Movie left a huge impression on me during that period. I been around a few Ghost Face costumes in stores. I liked how one costume store essentially owns their own persona. A persona that anyone could wear. Essentially a mask among a mask if that makes any real sense.

Ghost Face is surprisingly original for his time. Also due to the fact, a real life crime directly inspired the original Scream movie further supports my view on it. A better way of viewing it, Michael, Freddy with several names. There's only one of them while anyone could be Ghost Face. I had my reasons for not considering Chucky for this.

Scream was also a success due to a move Craven was talked into doing from Drew Barrymore. She felt if her character died in the beginning, it would surprised more people among the first watch. I would say Craven manning up to do that, I have a lot of respect for that. I also liked the short parody in a Jay & Silent Bob movie.

Yeah Kevin Smith don't think I didn't know about that joke lol. They cameo in Scream 3 but later in their own movie Wes Craven himself cameos back. I don't know why both of those happened. I just felt well that's something about Ghost Face, people did not know. Ghost Face is much more than another slasher icon in my opinion.

My reaction to some Dead by Daylight announcements

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, they unexpectedly surprised everyone came up relating to Dead by Daylight. I'm here to talk about two particular Dead by Daylight news I had to speak on. WOW this is going to be fun to talk about. Let's start with the biggest surprise no one, I literately no one seen coming.

Up til the upcoming mid chapter update. Bill was exclusive to the PC version of this game. WOW he is finally coming to the console versions. This guy with a small group of people took on hordes of zombies in Left 4 Dead. Although they used a different actor for this game. Honestly I been wanting to play as him for a while now.

His perks are already in the game. Thankfully I already gotten his perks with some survivors. There is some rumors they might be bringing in cosmetics with this update. Bill is one of the original licensed characters too. I felt the reason they waited so long was because they wanted to see if the Switch version might be still going.

They recently shine more light on Freddy's rework. A new device will be added to help waking up survivors. They explained more in detail about his new abilities too. Honestly I couldn't be any happier. Not that I had a problem with the version currently in the game to begin with. I felt for someone this powerful, where's more of his powers?

I know this was partly done to make him seem noticeably weaker to The Entity. At the same time, stuff like this had to be in there. I'm sure when I try out this, I'm going to love playing as Freddy even more. I already got him fully through the entire leveling process including prestige three times. Hopefully he will finally get the respect he deserves.
