I was a little surprised it turned out to be Jason. I know for a few years, Jason Universe been getting Jason into many crossovers. In order to help bring some of that popularity back to a degree. The world will never forget such a horror icon. I wanna discuss several things about this. Such as a long stream about thirteen hours!!!
We mostly see a cabin in the woods I swear not that movie it's literately what I said it is. They make some random stuff happen to a degree. A rather lackluster long stream to be honest. For what the ending portion being what a lot of people wanna know? Especially for one of their most requested horror icons to date wow!!!
This might be a hot take easily the worst reveal of an anniversary chapter they ever done!!! Some of the jokes early on the internet ended up being more entertaining which is sad!!! Of course I'm a bit disappointed it's not Pennywise. He also has a standing invitation to come to the game. Currently the only one with that since Jason about to get added.
No surprise they're going to call him The Slasher. I couldn't think of a better name off hand. Originally I didn't expect they would do much to help him stand out in the game play. I can now confirm they really step up!!! Somehow they made Jason so menacing in this game. He will have an machete with throwing weapons.
The projectiles can swap out making that a rather unique mechanic. He will play a little similar to Springtrap. He can throw projectiles that will impale survivors. They went even further than I could've imagined. They confirmed Jason has up to three moris!!! I am not kidding Pyramid Head had an additional sacrifice method prior.
No Jason had to add in a third way to do people in. Two of which involves his projectiles. As expected those are much quickier than his main mori. Which reminded me of a fatality from Mortal Kombat series. Which he also was a guest character in Mortal Kombat X later became Mortal Kombat XL. Jason technically teleports to a degree.
I actually prefer how it's done here than in Friday the 13th: The Game. Where that was more like Evil Dead series than anything else. Evil Dead: The Game also done the same traveling mechanic. I liked Jason was designed to punish bullies. A rather nice touch I'm glad they went for. If a leak is correct, Jason coming with a few additional skins.
Even if it ends up just being Jason that's fine. Jason will be the nineteenth licensed killer in the game. I easily could've made the joke Jason stared at a cabin for a decade before coming to the game. Jason will play notably different from Friday the 13th: The Game. Which brings me to another thing I'm salty about.
Simply because Jason coming to the game. The once famous multiplayer horror debate between Dead by Daylight and Friday the 13th: The Game now pointless. Forever ruined such a rememberable horror game debate for the rest of time. To be fair, I still do think Dead by Daylight is the better multiplayer horror game.
Let's be honest how can I not? A lot of my favorite characters on both sides especially Resident Evil. There's a lot of cool stuff within Dead by Daylight. Despite the actual stuff turning me off. I'm quite happy how they're handling Jason. This aspect of the hype is lived up well. I know many people waited a decade for this moment.
Jason always had a place among what I'm calling the Horror Wall of Fame. I really would love Tall Man from Phantasm series come to the game. There's still plenty horror franchises they could go for. End of the day we finally get Jason that's a huge win in itself. Honestly, I am curious to see after the following chapter where we go from there?
Just in case some people forgotten the following chapter was determined by a series of polls from the community. They decided on a survivor and a killer that'll be added to the game. I don't think that's going to be nearly as great as the previous chapter. I will say the day we get 3vs12 mode. You know people have to play as Michael, Jason and Freddy in a match together.
The 3 Slashers of Horror in a match is going to be insane. Personally I would've went a more strangely interesting route than that. Not because I felt doing the 3 Slashers would be boring. Of course not it's that'll be still fun to watch. I just felt I rather see Ken Kaneki, Springtrap and Dracula together. Now that's a match I would drop everything to watch!!!
Who is ballsy enough to face those three licensed killers in a match? Especially having eleven other people going to suffer along with you. Now that would be truly amazing indeed if they could pull that off. The waiting periods would be ridiculous though. Back to Jason, I do think they are nailing the character well.
