Resident Evil 2 hit GOG today as well.
1. Capcom Fighting Collection 2
Despite confusion over the title, I'm glad Capcom giving us more fighting games. I felt this is probably one of their most solid lineups in a compilation game to date. Personally, I would prefer Capcom Fighting Evolution not to be included. I'm already waiting for Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics.
Now Capcom giving us this too damn!!! They sure are obsess with compilation games. So many classics with some great extra stuff along with it. I guess it's not a surprise this is becoming my new standard game style. You get all of this for a good price, nothing additional is kinda sick. I actually played most of this collection before.
2. Castlevania Dominus Collection
Ever since I played Castlevania Advance Collection. I really wanted to play the DS Castlevania games. No one was expecting a shadow drop of that collection. The same day, Castlevania chapter hits Dead by Daylight no less. Not only we get those amazing Castlevania games. We also get Haunted Castle with a remastered version as a bonus.
Now we got a more definitive way to play all these Castlevania games. Sadly, this was the last Konami compilation game I was waiting for. Beyond this, there's virtually nothing left folks. I will say what a huge surprise Konami!!! I was really excited this wasn't a joke, it's quite real. I really can't wait to play these games soon, very high on my want list.
3. Tetris Forever
Digital Eclipse kept evolution of compilation games going with a game. Virtually every gamer loves, in fact the second highest selling game franchises behind Mario. I am talking about Tetris, we are getting an Tetris compilation. In the famous style to Atari 50 and similar compilations. I already know my wife would love this!!!
I still gotta get Atari 50 myself with a newer version coming this year. Well they're adding a lot to it that's paid dlc or you simply buy it altogether your choice. Digital Eclipse always done truly amazing job bringing back the classics. They are my main go to team for compilation games. Tetris is something that's truly special to us gamers, that's never going to change.
Conclusion
Right now I mostly wanna go compilation games with some exceptions. Killing Time: Resurrected and The Thing Remastered, I know are really going to kill it. I know Capcom Fighting Collection 2 coming next year, thank god for that. But so many of these classics coming back this year, I almost can't breath.
At the same time, I'll eventually get em all. Then focus more on personal stuff for long term life goals. I can play games until the end but I also gotta live beyond the games too. Retro wise, we are virtually kept getting more food in all you can eat buffet at this point. They just kept bringing em out, it's mind blowing to say the least.
I am truly happy a lot of these games are coming back. I felt nostalgia to a ridiculous degree. Even outside games with X-Men '97. I personally wanna thank all these game companies doing this. It's not even Christmas, it really felt like one giant Christmas to us retro gamers. I just don't want anything huge games to show up at this point.
