Games I wanna see come back from Limited Run Games and Nightdive Studios

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, here's a topic I kept thinking about while on vacation. Especially with these announcements I previously discussed in another blog entry. Now I felt it's time I reveal some games either Limited Run Games or Nightdive Studios bring back. I will give an honorable mention to Digital Eclipse and GOG that's doing the same exact thing as them.

Many video games are on the verge of going extinct. In this case, what I mean is they're becoming more lost to times. The hardware they originally ran out differs how long they'll last. Also people often forget some failure game consoles had some amazing games too. There's possibly thousands to millions of video games currently sharing the same sad fate.

Some game companies as well as the DRM-Free PC gaming service GOG trying to prevent that. I think it's critical to save as many older games as possible. Some having additional factors like multiple companies for license games. It's a major reason why I more prefer looking forward to them than newer games.

I got some ideas what either game company could possibly bring back to a degree. After all Fighting Force Collection is happening. If that's coming then a lot more video games suddenly has the same opportunity. In all honestly, the list of forgotten games is quite lengthy. Most gamers owe their lives to these master pieces that almost became lost to time.

Limited Run Games

1. Nightmare Creatures 1 & 2
2. Pandemonium 1 & 2
3. Vigilante 8 series
4. Jersey Devil
5. Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick
6. Timesplitters series
7. Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and Mortal Kombat: Deception
8. Toy Story 1
9. Steel Harbinger
10. The Punisher (2005 game)
11. Haunting Starring Polterguy
12. Bushido Blade 1 and 2
13. Die Hard Trilogy 1
14. MediEvil 2
15. Ghostbusters (Genesis game) and New Ghostbusters II
16. Pac-Man Museum (Entire PS1 lineup)
17. Critical Depth
18. Rogue Trip: Vacation 2012
19. Twisted Metal series (PS1 games)
20. WWF No Mercy (N64 game)
21. Vampire: Master of Darkness
22. Tiny Toons: Buster's Hidden Treasure
23. Beavis & Butt-Head (Game Boy game)
24. X-Men 1 and 2 (Genesis games)
25. Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage
26. Mega Man series (All five Mega Man Game Boy games)
27. The World Is Not Enough (N64 game)
28. The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge

Please don't bring Die Hard Trilogy 2, it's terrible. I kinda felt the same way about the 16-bit Simpsons games too. Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety was a huge disappointment.

Nightdive Studios

1. Turok: Rage Wars (N64 game)
2. The Suffering series
3. Witchaven series
4. Harvester
5. Ghost Master
6. Return to Castle Wolfenstein
7. Shadow Man: 2econd Coming
8. Alien Trilogy
9. MDK
10. Outlaws
11. The Darkness series
12. Quake 4
13. Area 51
14. CarnEvil
15. Heretic/Hexen series
16. Blake Stone series
17. Legacy of Kain series
18. Waxworks

Yes you can get a lot of these games on GOG. But how Nightdive Studios remasters classic games is truly mind blowing. I am really looking forward to playing Killing Time: Resurrected soon. Also notice some of Limited Run Games releases isn't on Xbox and GOG. The important thing is most platforms now has those once forgotten classics for newer fans to experience.

More thoughts on Markiplier's 3 Scary Games

Recent entry is 3 Scary Games #105

Also this will be a lengthy blog post, please take as many breaks as possible while reading.

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, a few years ago I talked about Markiplier's 3 Scary Games. He's still making more videos for that series. Which quickly became my favorite video series he's done. Then again I mostly into that while not seeing many of his other videos. I'm a huge horror fan after all.

He focuses on lesser known PC horror games. He usually plays as the title suggests, three horror games within one video each. Sometimes, they get edited a lot while some games come off being more unedited from the footage shown. Speaking of that, instead of simply doing 3 Scary Games #100 video.

Markiplier with his video editor made a little over hour long horror compilation video. This video in question being called 300 Scary Games. Most of the footage pulled from previous 3 Scary Games videos. Some footage pulled from other horror game videos Markiplier's done. Personally I'll give him respect to go this big for the hundred episode of the series.

There's some similar titled videos that isn't necessary in this video series. Originally I was going to wait until 3 Scary Games #110 happened. He is rather busy making videos as well as directing a movie. It's hard to say how long I would've waited otherwise. Also I kinda was do to revisit this topic.

This is also why more recently the newer 3 Scary Games videos are more spaced out in releases. Honestly, I'm fine with that since he can take his time keeping it constant as possible. I am rather curious what his method finding some of these games. I know a lot of them many fans of his threw out to him.

His reactions are virtually spot on in these newer videos. If you wanna test how brave you are, some of these videos can be quite scary. In fact, if Markiplier allowed someone to properly make a compilation video of the scariest moments from this series. I'm sure someone going to pass out from em.

To me this felt like his counterpart to The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror episodes. Let's be honest it's kinda obvious to see why. Majority of them has three horror stories we see play out. A major difference is Markiplier playing them all. Of course, they love doing these intros as well as outros.

Sometimes these are among the best moments of the videos. Not to say the games in them aren't great by any means. I felt the perfect way to describe it is how effective they play em off. I always respect the amazing work indie developers puts in their horror games too. I will briefly describe each game from 3 Scary Games #94 to 3 Scary Games #105, twelve episodes worth.

If there's enough interest I'll make a few follow up blog entries. One would be covering more newer 3 Scary Games videos. Another possible idea is briefly covering every game from the beginning to 3 Scary Games #93. Honestly, it depends on those reading these what do you want? Regardless I hope you enjoy this as much as I did writing it all.

I will be excluding any games Markiplier doesn't count towards the theme.

3 Scary Games #94

The True Ingredients (Fan SpongeBob horror game)
The Nightmare of the Air Balloon
SpongeBob Killerpants (Another Fan SpongeBob horror game)

When you see horror games based on cartoon shows, it's always creepy. Plus two of three horror games being fan horror SpongeBob games. It's kinda gets under your skin as you're watching them. The Nightmare of the Air Balloon is mostly you keep walking. Overtime things changed to start freaking you out with such amazing visuals.

3 Scary Games #95

Melissa
The Man in the Park
Halloween (Fan Halloween game)

Melissa is one of those games the AI eventually shows their true colors. In this case, the AI thinks of you as their best friend in a rather obsessive matter. The Man in the Park is a retro style multiple endings game. Halloween is more based on the movie of the same name than the Atari 2600 game.

3 Scary Games #96

Spin to Win
MapFriend
The Ball Pit

Easily a freaky lineup of games. Spin to Win, you spin the wheel for stuff to happen. It heavily plays off paranoia what could happen. MapFriend is a map simulator game. It surprisingly looks rather realistic with the sudden horror aspects being quite effective. The Ball Pit plays on your imagination a bit that may scare some people.

3 Scary Games #97

Enclosure
Wheat Harvest
Paradox

Enclosure is your standard indie horror game style. You get to explore with some freaky messages. Also a monster stalks you as you explore not much to say. Wheat Harvest is sorta a mowing simulator game with amazing visuals. Paradox is a retro style horror game. Not quite PS1 but almost 3DS close to Switch style graphics with freaky enemies.

3 Scary Games #98

Harvest Festival 64
Lidar.exe
A Mall Near You

Harvest Festival 64 is obviously inspired by Animal Cross series. I do love how closely it mimics the N64 style graphics. Lidar.exe has a rather interesting style with the art. A Mall Near You is like those interactive novel game style. A horror story involving a mal simply done in a way you aren't expecting.

3 Scary Games #99

Shirime
The Pizza
Last Night

Shirime is inspired by P.T. and RE7 first person style. I will say this had some impressive graphics for a game. The Pizza is a retro style game about a pizza. It does play off nostalgia to a degree. Last Night is another retro style horror game. Parts of the game is a cooking simulator. Restaurants are a recurring location in indie horror games, it still came off realistic.

300 Scary Games

This is currently the longest episode in the entire series. 3 Scary Games Live video is a few minutes longer, not edited too. I would say this is easily the best editing in the series hands down. You do feel like you're reliving many horror games he's done over the years. This clearly was a slam dunk you can easily rewatch towards or on Halloween.

3 Scary Games #101

Three Minutes with Your Dog
Bad Flesh
Something in the Woods

Bad Flesh is truly a disgusting game you eat body parts. Three Minutes with Your Dog gets weirder the longer you're playing it. To me, one of the weirdest horror games of it's style in the series. Something in the Woods is another retro horror game. I will say the usage of colors in some sections rather pleasant.

3 Scary Games #102

The Prototype
Home Alone
The Man in the Park 2

The Prototype is kinda like RE7/FNaF style animation. You are testing out the prototype that ends up freaking you out. Home Alone despite the name isn't a fan game of the movie franchise. A recurring horror game theme you do stuff with someone stalking you. The Man in the Park 2 is creepier than the original game.

I also wanna say it's not often he plays sequel games in this video series.

3 Scary Games #103

Crowded, Followed.
Boil Noodles at Night
Excuse me, Sir?

Crowded, Followed. plays heavily on some fears people has. Some rather impressive graphics with amazing art work. Boil Noodles at Night is another retro horror game. This game constantly making you wonder what could happen next. Excuse me, Sir? is one of those interactive phone style games.

3 Scary Games #104

Forest Rangers Services
Rinse and Repeat
Go to Bed

Forest Rangers Services is an impressive retro style horror game. It's almost PS2 possibly Dreamcast style graphics. Honestly, it's amazing what this game manages to pull off. Rinse and Repeat is a weird shower game with multiple endings. Go to Bed is a weird trying to sleep game with multiple endings.

I also wanna say Go to Bed ends up being more interesting than you might be expecting too.

3 Scary Games #105

Clap Clap
Gingerbread Man
Mourning Tide

To me, one of the more interesting entries in this video series. Clap Clap is a retro style horror game. The more you play it, the weirder it becomes experience. Gingerbread Man is a Christmas horror game. It kinda has a decent jump scare. Mourning Tide is a weird fishing game. Like Clap Clap, it will continue to get weirder the longer it goes on.

Mourning Tide is a fishing simulator with the right levels of screwing with people game play.

Markiplier worked so hard to deliver a lot of entertainment over the years. This video series is easily among his best hands down. They are perfect to revisit for Halloween, a strong recommendation from me. I can't wait for more 3 Scary Games videos. Honestly, I couldn't ask for much since it's done so amazingly well.

My thoughts on Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

Update: Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster coming out September 19th, 2024.

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I figured my thoughts on Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster deserve it's own blog. It's no secret, I'm a huge Dead Rising fan. I waited for years for the franchise to return. Personally I'm glad it's coming back from Dead Rising 4. I got a lot of thoughts on the trailer shown.

How many versions of Dead Rising 1 is there? Prior to this announcement four versions. I'll count em out. You got the original Xbox 360 Dead Rising game. There's the lesser known mobile version of the game. Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop on Wii. More recently, Dead Rising got an HD version along with both versions of Dead Rising 2 for an anniversary.

Each version had notably differences. I know some people are criticizing Frank looking older than he was in the original game. After seeing some beta game play footage, I realize they are using that look. Dead Rising was truly ahead of it's time for a smaller scale open world survival horror game. I'm glad a lot of people want the franchise to return thanks to the recent Capcom survey.

I don't think they are cut then posting the same game for money here. It's easy to think otherwise I know. Judging how they used Frank in the trailer. I think this will be almost newer RE remake game style. I say that because Capcom been banking on those RE games. In fact, RE2 Remake currently the best selling RE game in history with 13.9 million units sold.

Dead Rising always been the more comical franchise. It's crazy both of these franchises are done by Capcom. Of course, I got a list of stuff I wanna see happen. I don't want the game to be too in the box. Look what happened to both Saints Row reboot and Dead Rising 4. Dead Rising always had creative within the game play.

I would be surprise to see combo weapon system get put into this version of the game. Which could help with the trickier portions of the campaign. I also want more room to do stuff while going for some trickier achievements/trophies. Originally after enough characters appeared on the map. Any additional tasks wouldn't show up until either you complete or fail em.

This did allow some speedrunners to get crazy creative with the concept. I also want Frank to actually be the Frank we all know and love. Dead Rising 4 Frank simply is not Frank!!! There should be some new stuff to use during the game play. We are talking weapons, health items and outfits. Which the original game had plenty of everything.

I also felt we should have similar choices of game modes that Dead Rising 3 had. A major mistake Dead Rising 4 didn't do. You would have the choice to play it how the game originally designed or you play it faster. Maybe have another option for longer time limit. Just not too much time because that's getting too well set up for the endgame.

They also need to change receiving calls from Otis mechanic. Most Dead Rising games, this isn't even an issue. Originally, this could put you in trouble with no real way around it. They even made an annoying achievement/trophy about it no joke. Another major change some might criticize me saying. There was a feature in Chop Till You Drop version that's available if you save Cletus.

If you do save him in that version, he acts as the game's merchant. I do felt this also could help out a lot later on. Another major change that doesn't apply to Chop Till You Drop version is a bigger gun variety. I also want a more fun method for reaching max level. The big leveling trick is using cars in the tunnels until you reach it.

Keep in mind doing this trick, you are throwing away most endings. This eats up most of your time playing the campaign. I also would prefer more useful magazines added to the game too. I know there's a couple in the original game. I felt Dead Rising 2 both versions had the perfect ratio for them. This could heavily impact the game play in so many ways.

I'm deeply glad Capcom cares for Dead Rising. I do want this game to do well to possibly bring it back. Considering the concept, remaking it from the ground up could allow possibilities. Simply wasn't possible in the original game with current technology. This alone will make it one of the best Dead Rising games ever made.

I trust Capcom a lot more than Konami. I'm still funny about the new Metal Gear game coming soon. Dead Rising needs to have a great soundtrack as well as rememberable sound effects. From the cut scenes that might not be much. This truly matters within the unique game play of the franchise. Dead Rising series is continuing what Zombies Ate My Neighbors series started.

There's a possibility we could get coop in this version too. Just imagine the insanity with two or more people traveling together in the mall. I also hope for a nice nice unlockable mode or two among fully completing the campaign. If not revamp Infinity Mode, I do prefer Sandbox Mode in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.

I like the concept of no time limit, simply do whatever you want. Dead Rising 4's other big mistake is forcing that as the only option for the main campaign excluding Frank Rising portion. Which brings me to a huge request, Capcom don't make people buy the conclusion to the campaign like DR4 done. I'm even amazed Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth done that with New Game+.

Personally neither shouldn't been made into paid dlcs. Those should've already been in the game by default. I also want Frank to have some new lines we hear either in cut scenes or during game play. I would also prefer if Brock's boss fight got changed a bit. Considering the possible scale of this newer version.

This map going to be one of the biggest in the franchise. This alone heavily impacts the game play in many ways. I do want the mall to be very interesting with some retro going towards the theme. To me, the mall in DR4 kinda bland at best. I do want the boss fights with Psychopaths to be rememberable. Nine out of ten people are dying to see Adam the Clown in this version.

Despite how criticized Chop Till You Drop version gotten, every task having rewards helped a lot. I do think that should been considered for this version of the game. In that version, you could earn a portable blender to make mixed drinks on the fly. Years before you can do so without one in Dead Rising 3. I really want the characters to be very faithful to the original versions.

At the same time, I do expect a proper modernize variation of them as well. I also expect with the huge size of the game to not be crash heavy like both HD versions of Dead Rising 2. Not only that, I really wanna see how creative Capcom going to get with this. I also would like slightly more vehicles. Combo vehicles could be a lot of fun.

Another possible feature is an easier to read map. This alone will heavily impact the game play. It's hard to say if the leveling going to get reduced, stay the same or get increased. If reduced, I want it to be done better than Capcom Heroes in DR4. If staying the same, just spice up some of the stuff you get. If increased, I want to see how truly insane the game play can get lol.

Dead Rising 4 double the leveling from the usual Level 50 max. Although a lot of stuff didn't seem to matter. Even Dead Rising 3 that had additional stuff to get during the leveling process had stuff to impact the game play. I do hope they find the right balance for this. I also would love the lockers being used for every outfit you have available too.

This quickly saves you time finding exact outfits you wanna wear. Of course, you got to earn a lot of them while you simply find other clothes around the huge map. This feature I felt will be a major factor why people going to love this version of the game. If they wanna attempt pushing the envelope like the original Dead Rising years ago, it's got some huge expectations to hit.

To me, Dead Rising always been in my personal Capcom Big 3 along with Resident Evil and Devil May Cry respectively. Dead Rising has a fighting chance with this game. I do hope the right team with proper support from Capcom makes it a major hit. Maybe Dino Crisis with the recent Capcom survey return eventually.

Dead Rising surprisingly filled with so many options what to do. You could beat the game simply playing until the time limit ends. I do want the conditions for the endings to more like the sequel games excluding DR4. The conditions must been easier to pull off. Originally how some endings were set up cause confusion how to get em.

I would love a feature to help you keep track which endings you gotten too. Especially if you really wanna see every ending the game offers. Also going by DR4 for a moment here. The DLCs for this needs to be way better than that. I really wanna go wild with this new version of the game. The difficulty levels needs to be better balanced too.

For the love of God, improve the AI of survivors too. Originally you were lucky you gotten them to the safe house. Especially with cultists around, you constantly have to wait for em. They don't fight off enemies well. Sometimes they get quickly killed off. This actually can make or break this new version too.

Dead Rising should be a deeply replayable experience. A game you will struggle putting down even for a few minutes. To me, most of the franchise is that much fun. I also loved how DR3 differ zombie types. I strongly recommend they done that concept to spice up the game play. This also would help people adapt to the game at a much faster rate too.

I was very surprised by the announcement myself. I was hoping for the franchise to return. Not to throw salt at the team making this or Capcom for that matter. I would've created a new beginning chapter to bring this franchise back. They already know they have no room to hide with this. Especially the disaster that was Dead Rising 4, they gotta knock it out the park here.

Terminator Timeline, I'm Chronology Confused

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, some people are going deep into confusing timeline. Usually Zelda or The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. For me, the one confusing timeline I often think about, Terminator. Of course, time travel suddenly makes everything bag a lot of questions. Very fitting for today's blog topic.

To clarify, I'll start with The Terminator. I'll end with Terminator: Dark Fate. I also going to include Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles show. I will mark each Terminator timeline to the best of my ability. I am not even sure Rick Sanchez could make sense out of this!!! Oh the real confusion about to begin folks.

Timeline #1

The Terminator
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
Terminator: Salvation

The Terminator, an resistance fighter named Kyle Reese got sent to the past. In order to prevent Sarah's termination. Skynet sent an Terminator to the past to assassinate her. Terminator 2 takes place a couple years later. A reprogrammed Terminator model protects John Connor. Skynet sent a more advanced Terminator model to assassinate John Connor.

Also get use to see these movies in a few timelines.

Terminator 3 has another notable time gap. A now grown up John Connor with Katherine Brewster gets protected by another reprogrammed Terminator model. Skynet sent an even more advanced Terminator model to assassinate John Connor. Although the reprogrammed Terminator carries out Kate's orders.

Terminator: Salvation is a sequel to these movies. But strangely also could be technically seen as a possible prequel. Let me explain, we do see parts of the war the previous movies talked about. During this, we see how Kyle got sent back to the past to save Sarah Connor. The movie itself is set in the distant future while Kyle's time wrap goes in the past.

Effectively making Kyle's portion of the movie indirectly a prequel. Obviously a true prequel would've been an actual past event. Kyle's goes from Salvation to The Terminator like that. I told you time travel can be quite confusing at times. Beyond this point, expect more surprises that bags more questions than actual answers.

Timeline #2

The Terminator
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Instead of the events of Terminator 3, we have Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles events. There's two notable time wraps. Both involving John getting sent to the future. Previously, we only seen humans and machines got sent to the past. This alone did bag a few questions. John also a teenager in this timeline with a reprogrammed Terminator model protecting him.

I also need to point out Sarah is involve. Sadly the show ended up a future cliffhanger. John about to meet his father Kyle in the future. Which could've taken the place of Terminator: Salvation in this timeline. We also see a few possible ways Skynet could've started too. Skynet is determined to end John Connor as well as humanity.

To me, this timeline makes more sense. We get to see how John eventually becomes the leader of the resistance. We also get to see how important his mother was to everything. Not only that, we also get a much clearer idea how calculated Skynet truly is. Also it felt more like what would actually happen than Terminator 3, maybe that's just me.

Timeline #3

The Terminator
Terminator: Genisys

Terminator: Genisys alters the events of The Terminator dramatically. There's a notable time wrap effectively replacing Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Both Kyle & Sarah gets a reprogrammed Terminator model to protect em. Unfortunately, her son John got transformed by Skynet into an even more advanced Terminator model.

The events of The Terminator reduced to a small thing in this timeline. Also Kyle survived in this timeline too. By now you gotta ask yourself. How does Skynet kept sending more advanced Terminator models each time? It's so desperate to end his existence as proven by this movie. Terminator: Genisys also could be seen as a precursor to Terminator: Dark Fate.

Yes John got altered while killed by Skynet to serving what used to be his one true enemy. I also need to point out the reprogrammed Terminator model doesn't time travel with them to the future. Obviously Terminatior: Salvation erased too. Honestly, this concept felt heavily rushed. Although I will respect they attempted a more risky idea.

Timeline #4

The Terminator
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Terminator: Dark Fate

Terminator: Dark Fate replaces Terminator 3 as well as Terminator: Genisys in the timeline. Shortly following the conclusion of Terminator 2, another Terminator got sent to the past. However John got assassinated while Skynet effectively destroyed. Both their roles were given to Dani and Legion respectively.

Sarah, a changed Terminator model and an resistance member with enhancements. They all protect Dani from Rev-9, another more advanced Terminator model. The cycle to the war between humans and machines continues. Only Grace got sent back to the past. Terminator now called Carl tries to redeem himself from John's assassination.

Sarah mostly older in this timeline too. Most of the group knew this wasn't over following Connor's assassination. A lot of people hated this changed to the format. Although it kinda makes sense, how many times would they put John against Skynet? The concept was done so many times, a change desperately needed to happen.

This movie's message is a war going to happen. Virtually the same message Terminator 3: Rise of the Machine. Regardless how things plays out, it will happen. Funny enough, both wars has the human resistance won. Despite what happens in any timelines. An endless loop like the apocalypse, inevitably it's fated to happen.

I hope you all are keeping up with all the confusion that is time travel. In every Terminator timeline, one human resistance leader goes to war against an advanced AI program. A war that occurs in the distant future with a predicted ending. At this point, what else could they possibly do with the concept?

Right now Mortal Kombat is suffering story wise from becoming multiversal. Terminator from Terminator 2: Judgment Day suffered from alternate timelines. At this point, Terminator franchise virtually done everything possible. This alone makes attempting to continue any part of any timeline very difficult to do.

Personally, Terminator should fully start over. We are talking a brand new story with a similar concept. But slowly go into the time travel aspect rather than rushing right into it. This could be the very direction to save the franchise. Man trying to make sense of the Terminator timelines is really confusing at best.

Some retro surprises during vacation

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I enjoyed my vacation seeing my parents. During those weeks, I found out some rather unexpected rereleases actually happening. Later on, a bigger surprise that further caught me off-guard. I mostly going to talk about trailers. I didn't think this year would deliver some of the games I really wanted for a long time!!!

I'll start with Gex Trilogy, a new trailer showed up nearly a year after it's announcement trailer. Previously they parodied James Bond since GoldenEye gotten two recent rereleases. This new trailer they parodied John Wick. Like the other trailer, there's some good animation. You actually get to see some game play of the three Gex games too.

I know some rather wanted a more modernize versions of these games. I expect this will be get criticize like MediEvil Remake. People are rather picky how they want classic games. I hope Gex Trilogy comes to GOG since the original Gex already there. I was worried this wasn't going to happen after awhile.

They confirmed Fall you can preorder it. Honestly, I hope this collection game does well. Limited Run Games previously done Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection. I may not own that, I do have a friend that owns it. My expectations for this as well as Rocket Knight Adventures: Re-Sparked are high.

From this point on, all of these are a huge surprise to a lot of people. I'll start with Fighting Force Collection. Limited Run Games also doing this collection game. I actually grew up with both Fighting Force games. I had Fighting Force 1 on PS1 as a kid. More recently, I got Fighting Force 64 on Nintendo 64.

Fighting Force 2 I had on Sega Dreamcast. Although my memories of it are questionable at best. Two vastly different games in one collection. It will be no surprise most will prefer the original Fighting Force. Fighting Force 2 never set well with me. Also considering this franchise isn't barely a gem reputation.

I really didn't think this collection game would happen. If anything the original Fighting Force more likely happen. Fighting Force 1 was almost Streets of Rage 4 before Sega left. Fighting Force 2 is more of a require taste kind of a game. Maybe you enjoy it or you won't. What I can say is you can play the original Fighting Force with another person helps a lot.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics blew my mind hard. Previously we had Marvel vs. Capcom: Origins. Which had Marvel Super Heroes (Arcade game) and Marvel vs. Capcom 1 respectively. Here we're getting the entire original Marvel vs. Capcom series. But wait there's more, we also get The Punisher Arcade too.

In nearly every possible way, I kept getting beyond sold. The complete original series is something I really wanted. The Punisher Arcade was a nice bonus. The Punisher always been one of my favorite vigilante characters. I previously had the Genesis port as a kid. Now I can play the original Arcade game is pretty sweet.

Add in the same team respectable for both Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle and Capcom Fighting Collection. WOW, I do recall people weren't happy Marvel vs. Capcom games weren't in Capcom Fighting Collection. Personally I am happier they gotten their own collection game. The only real issue is this won't be on Xbox.

Not because Microsoft turned it down. No it's because of a particular program that made some collection games possible doesn't work with Xbox Series X/S. Although similar programmed collection games from Xbox One can work on newer Xbox consoles. I was deeply overjoyed among first seeing the announcement trailer.

Just when I couldn't get any happier this year. GOG surprised me with Resident Evil 1-3 classic versions. Right now Resident Evil 2 and 3 isn't on the service. But if you bought Resident Evil Bundle, you'll get em automatically. I have some unfinished business with these games. Not to mention, I really wanna play BioRand mod.

BioRand is truly ridiculous stuff for a randomizer RE mod. It works on all three Resident Evil games. This mod acts as a nice bonus you have to get separately. At the same time, all the insanity you could possibly want. This also possibly opens the door for more Capcom classics to get on GOG in the near future like Dino Crisis.

Speaking of Dino Crisis, a recent Capcom survey. I know by now it's a broken record to a lot of people. Dino Crisis was the most requested Capcom franchise to get either a sequel or a new game. Even beating Mega Man, Devil May Cry and Resident Evil respectively. Honestly I had tears of joy finding out about it.

I couldn't believe it for a few minutes. For a few years, I did want these RE games to return. I do get why some aren't happy about it. So what it's not on consoles, GOG perverse these games from extinction. This is possibly the greatest thing to ever happen to em in years. Now a lot of people that missed out on these amazing RE games can finally play em too.

I grew up with two versions of Resident Evil 1 as well as Resident Evil 2. As for RE3, I previously owned the GameCube port. Same with RE2's GameCube port. Obviously people wants Silent Hill 2 classic and Silent Hill 3 to get on GOG soon. Capcom always finds a way to make people so excited to be alive.

Also people that only played RE3 Remake. They now can see what they missed from the original RE3 game. I will be brutally honest, it's not even close!!! Although I never was big into RE3 myself, I did state to like SH3 more. I will say this these RE games are totally worth revisiting.

Dead by Daylight and Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game comparison

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I got two vastly different comparisons with Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game. The bigger comparison will be coming in a few weeks. Today, I got a much smaller comparison that's going to be somewhat fun to do. Considering Dead by Daylight has The Clown, I wanna compare him to the Klowns from their game.

Obviously I'm a huge fan of evil clown characters. I figured surprisingly no one is doing this take on the concept. I think it's too soon to fully compare the two games. A little hint, the actual game I'm going to compare to Killer Klowns, I previously talked about before as well. It also came out the same year as Killer Klowns as well as both debut in the late 80s.

The Clown (Dead by Daylight) vs The Klowns (Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game)

Both sides has some unfair stuff going for them. The Clown kept getting cosmetics since his release a couple years ago. The Klowns is in a recent multiplayer horror game. There are some similarities as well as differences. End of the day, you decide which clown killer you prefer playing as in either game.

The Clown is one murder that uses a few bottles that's specialty made to drug people. He's alone like majority of the killers in the game. He does have a lot more build options with the perks as well as add-ons. He's armed with a knife to hunt down survivors. Of course, he laughs during matches.

The Klowns is three clown theme humanoid aliens that works as a team. They also have Lackeys that can be created from Cocoon Generators. The Lackeys either can make noises alerting the Klowns, jump survivors or pick up cocoons. To clarify, they will not hang up the survivors.

Dead by Daylight does have a lot more maps. I don't wanna focus on what DbD has that Killer Klowns does for this comparison. In both games, killers can hang up the survivors. They also have the option to kill em. In The Clown's case, he has a few mori methods to do so. Mostly he must hang em up at least once to mori em.

The Klowns can either kept using weapons on downed survivors to kill em or perform a klownality. The Klowns can do up to four klownalities in matches. The Klowns despite lacking Baby Klowns meant for traps currently in the game. They still cover more range within their abilities.

Klown Jump is basically their teleport move. LOL is a power up that's temporary increases stats as well as heals em. They got balloon dog to track survivors down. Invisible Car can be used to quickly travel around the map. They got a lot of weapons with two main types. One entire set of them is simply meant to capture the humans being different cotton candy rayguns.

The other set of weapons is melee with a more interesting variety among em. Unlike DbD, The Klowns as well as the Lackeys can be killed off. The Klowns will respawn after a short time period. Humans also has one chance to revive themselves in matches too. DbD is 1v4 matches while Killer Klowns 3v7 matches.

I personally enjoy playing these clown characters. I can't deny playing as The Klowns was simply way more fun. The Clown simply felt like he needed something to help better his chances. Other than The Klowns even using LOL a little on the slow side. Shorty is the fastest Klown in the game.

I also should mention there's different classes of Klowns too. Mostly their stats such as stamina, how much health and their speed differs a bit. I am so tired of hearing people saying, "The Klowns are too alike in the game play." End of the day, The Klowns has something for everyone while The Clown just falls short.

The Klowns are simply more well rounded. They work as a team rather than The Clown being by himself. They offer much more stuff they can use during the matches too. You also can do some customization with them. Even change their genders, I kinda like that. It does help people be more like themselves while playing the game.

Possibly next month the bigger Killer Klowns comparison coming.

Killing Time PC version review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, Following the recent announcement of Killing Time: Resurrected. I figured to play the PC version of the game I bought from Retro Shooter Rampage Bundle. My opinion playing this without codes changed my thoughts on the game. Killing Time is a strangely interesting horror game.

I always remembered this story growing up

Before I go right into the review, a quick childhood story. Some of you may recall seeing a game in a game store or advertise in gaming magazines. I went to a local game store, a couple miles away from my childhood house. I remembered seeing a game that quickly caught my attention for Sega Saturn.

I never owned an Sega Saturn console, I did play some games ported from it though. This sick cover had a bloody chef, I didn't recall the title from my memory. It also doesn't help the Saturn version of Killing Time got canceled. I might've seen an ad for it in a gaming magazine before. Eventually I got to play the game all these years later through GOG.

Review

I also need to point out it originally was an 3DO game. When they brought the game to PC, it was completely redone. I never got to play the original version. I can honestly say it's hands down the best of Retro Shooter Rampage Bundle by far. This is a famous Doom clone, yes this again. Killing Time is essentially Doom with aspects of The 7th Guest while packing in enemies.

Yes I do mean areas filled with enemies, it made the later Doom levels look not as intense. The story of the game is a rich woman named Tess became obsessed with Egyptian magic. She wanted to live forever, this ritual caused the entire island preventing time from floating again. There isn't much to go on who you're actually play as.

Not even enough information from characters talking to your protagonist character either. You get a couple of weapons with most being decent. I think my favorite ended up being the flame thrower. This weapon saved me from some bad situations. It's great to quickly wiping out a room filled with enemies.

Unlike Doom, the game is one big map that's all connected. Sorta like metroidvania style games before that's a thing. The original 3DO version predating Castlevania: Symphony of the Night a few years. A shorter time gap bringing in the PC version of Killing Time. Instead of cutscenes, it's more like The 7th Guest franchise.

You wait for these Tess ghosts saying Help Me!!! You get digitalized actors replaying several moments that reveal more of the back story. There's a huge variety of enemies with the most recurring type being insects. I do need to point out a lot of enemies are also presented in the 3DO version.

Majority of them looks notably different especially clowns. Yes a Doom clone you take on killer clowns. Originally, the enemies were also done by digitalized actors. Man they look absolutely amazing in the 3DO version. Now I'm not trying to say they look bad by any means. They simply don't come off as being nearly as good or as effective in comparison.

I think the perfect example what I'm talking about thanks to Killing Time: Resurrected trailer. You can actually see some enemy designs from both versions in the same trailer. I would recommend watching for chefs. As much I did enjoy their appearance in the PC version. OMG, in the 3DO version, chefs looks absolutely amazing!!!

Especially how some enemies attacks you in the 3DO version, it's almost as if the enemies attacking you. I will say I liked majority of the locations. You may get lost a lot where to go at times. You need to collect ten keys as well as ten vessels. Obviously, the keys unlocks areas either inside the estate or particular buildings around the island.

The vessels are required for the endgame, I'll discuss more on that later. You can run out of ammo if you aren't careful. Sometimes enemies can hit you before you can. It also depends on exact placements of the characters too. Either you can still attack but they can't or in vice versa. There's not many bosses either.

Mostly Duncan who acts more of an obstacle to delay the game ending than an actual boss fight. He will constantly attempt to stop you. You can take him out but he'll keep respawning. He does deal damage too not to mention he's faster than you're expecting. If you go for the 100% completion, you have to face Tess in the end.

Duncan almost came off being like Shao Kahn in Mortal Kombat series. He taunts you almost every single time you take him down. He also teleports with a loud sound effect. Thankfully a handful of spots he can't show up in. This is critical for destroying six mirrors. You need to find three similar style doors that all leads to these mirrors.

Among destroying the last mirrors. You have to return to the area you first met Duncan as an enemy at. You destroy the water clock triggering the final boss. Personally I liked this concept just wish it was done a little differently. You also have to wait until Tess is done speaking before the fight begins.

Tess is kinda like The Mother Demon from Doom 64, I think that's the perfect comparison. Both are female final bosses that deals serious damage. They also can summon enemies to help screw you over. If you win, you'll get the good ending. But if you lose, you get the bad ending instead. Maybe it's my copy of the game, not many spots the digitalized actors looked good.

I think majority of the original voice acting got pulled from the 3DO version. Thankfully for such a huge map, you got access to an in game map. There's some sections hidden within other locations. Yeah get use to that as you're playing the game. The more you explore, the more you realize what an impressive game this was for it's time.

I would say the music is notably better than the sound effects. Of course, it still has some good sound effects. There's the not great sound effects you hear often that kinda annoy you a bit. You also can save your process. I always welcome that in an FPS game from the 90s. I got a major tip if you wanna give either version of this game a try.

Don't go in thinking it'll be another Doom clone. I think it does just enough to differ itself from that. The music style is vastly different too. It's more like The 7th Guest soundtrack. Neither were heavily rock theme soundtracks. You also have some enemies attacking similar to some Doom enemies.

Killing Time is very true to it's name. This game is literately packed with content, it's mind blowing. There's a handful of spots you can change hands on clocks. This actually triggers different past moments to play out. I also liked how Killing Time is more about exploration than just kill em all.

On your map screen, you got slots for key items. This is very helpful when you need to figure out which ones you need. The length can determine depending on your playing style. A cheat run is obviously much faster. But you also missing out on what made this game a classic too. I was even amazed I missed out on this much from cheating the game.

All of a sudden, I was much happier to revisit the game. Not only that, I beaten it for the first time without using codes. I came to realize this is among my favorite Doom clones. If anyone wants to know which one is my favorite, it always has been Blood. Killing Time is a story driven game above everything else.

I really don't recommend rushing any section of the game. Some areas has enemies that can quickly kill you without warning. Thankfully not even the bosses can one shot you. Probably get use to getting over whelm a lot too. This will help you through the enemy filled sections. I mostly got positive stuff to say.

I do have some criticisms I felt I should share. My first problem is why did it take this long for an remastered version to happen? A more serious problem is jumping, you actually can jump in this. It's among the worst I seen in an FPS game. For me seeing an decent jump in them is rare. This is critical for reaching the light house.

You have to carefully navigate this path to the light house. After you explored it, you got to go back the way you came. Which ends up being a little easier than expected. Another major problem I had is some areas were difficult to see due to lack of lightening. Sadly there's no option in the game to increase brightness.

This is important because some areas you navigate through lacks lights. But also so filled with enemies with the surrounding layer making it easier to get lost. There's also parts of using the map that can be confusing because the map layout being much bigger. It's a lot smaller in the 3DO version, I seen from YouTube videos.

Also considering how some sections connects makes it frustrating to tell. Where do you need to go at times too. Unlike the 3DO version, enemies doesn't show up on your map screen. Which would've been helpful having something to tell which enemies are in the area. Instead of on purpose rushing forward then quickly move back.

Some enemies can hit you much easier from a distance often too. Despite that, Killing Time is an underrated FPS game. I don't think it's the strangest among Doom clones coughs PO'ed. I do think this offers much more than simply ripping off Doom's style. Killing Time is a game that truly deserves to be remastered, thank god that version coming soon.

This felt like a perfect merger of Doom and The 7th Guest. It may not be filled with as many puzzles as The 7th Guest. At least the voice acting was better. The 7th Guest had some cheesy moments. You could even say games like Doom 2016 wouldn't happened if it were for this game, I know a huge statement.

I think everyone can agree Doom, The 7th Guest and Killing Time all better than The 11th Hour. The 11th Hour is a follow up to The 7th Guest. Before people start getting the wrong idea. I actually felt from what I seen, The 13th Doll. A fan game that got backed by the same company for that franchise was notably better than that too.

Killing Time is almost like let's make Doom an metroidvania experience. But make it happen on an island lost to time. I do enjoy the animations in the PC version. I think it's obvious I do strongly prefer the animations in the 3DO version more. Even with the PC version, you really couldn't go wrong.

The Pizza Connection game series confusion

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, here's a topic surprisingly not done on YouTube. There's a small business simulation game series called Pizza Connection. You manage restaurants as well as do shady stuff with the mob. I gotten the trilogy among many other classics a few months ago. I wanna discuss something that likely go over your heads, trust me it's confusing stuff.

On both Steam and GOG, you can buy Pizza Connection 1-3 with the recent game's soundtrack. It's very straight forward Pizza Connection titles. However it turns out two of them weren't as what they appear to be. In Europe, Pizza Tycoon was titled Pizza Connection 1. Let's be honest, both titles fits the game perfectly.

The real confusion starts with Pizza Connection 2. In some regions, the title got changed to Fast Food Tycoon 2. Wait what? Where's the first Fast Food Tycoon game? Well it turns out there does exists a first Fast Food Tycoon game. Sadly it isn't available on any PC gaming services. Pizza Connection 2 is really a sequel to Fast Food Tycoon 1 not Pizza Connection 1.

I will explain more on that later on.

Although, all these games are within the same franchise. This confusion also affects Pizza Connection 3. Considering it's the third in that lineup of games. But which game is it actual a sequel to? Adding in Fast Food Tycoon 1, there's four main games. Pizza Connection 3 should've been titled Pizza Connection 4.

From a point of view, we could argue the actual trilogy being Fast Food Tycoon 1. Followed by Pizza Connection 2 & 3 respectively. It's rare when the game that started it all actually alone like Rampage. Rampage started with the original Rampage game. Then most of the franchise followed Rampage: World Tour.

This even happened to TMNT Nintendo series. In the United States, the original TMNT NES game is followed up by three TMNT games. But outside the Unites States, this TMNT game excluded from that lineup of games. To clarify, Pizza Connection 1 was a beloved classic game. I think I know what happened, this will be just as confusing.

Pizza Connection 3 would be a sequel to Pizza Connection 2. The one possible explanation for this is Fast Food Tycoon 1 was a reboot for the franchise. Thus, all later entries are following in it's foot steps rather than Pizza Connection 1's. Another realistic possibility is when Pizza Connection 1 failed.

In a desperate attempt to save the franchise, Software 2000 went from publisher to developer. Where they developed Fast Food Tycoon 1 & 2. When those didn't do well, the franchise was abandoned for many years. Until Assemble Entertainment came out of no where to bring it out from extinction.

Regardless one or both these possibilities occurred is a mystery. What we do know is more people are getting into this franchise. Possibly a much faster rate than back in the day. Old PC games were difficult find in stores back then. More recently simply buying em digitally, you can quickly install em onto your computers that's it.

Pizza Connection 1 was developed by Cybernetic Corporation. Pizza Connection 2 was developed by Software 2000. Who also developed Fast Food Tycoon 1. The same company was publisher for Pizza Connection 1 in Europe. Pizza Connection 3 was developed by Gentlymad Studios.

Currently another company called Assemble Entertainment owns Pizza Connection 1-3. This company decided to change the titles from Pizza Tycoon and Fast Food Tycoon 2. Now titled as Pizza Connection 1 and Pizza Connection 2 respectively. In order to sell em with Pizza Connection 3 as a trilogy of games. Obviously ignoring Fast Food Tycoon 1 in the process.

These titles are represented world wide. Despite one missing game as well as it's expansion, most of the franchises is available to the world. Also being available through great PC gaming services. Thank you Assemble Entertainment for bringing back these games. It's safe to say there's some life left in em after all, anything better than burnt pizza. LOL

I hope I might've cleared up the confusion Pizza Connection game series had. I even got confused to a degree while writing this. I never expected this would happened to a business simulation series. Not even in a million years but I'm writing this. Then again maybe I simply love pizza way too much!!! LOL

Some quick extras that's worth mentioning despite having little importance

I should quickly mention Fast Food Tycoon 1 has an Germany exclusive expansion in 2001. Simply going by these three Pizza Connection games. There's a notable time gap between the three games. Pizza Connection 1 came out in 1994. Pizza Connection 2 came out in 2001. A year after Fast Food Tycoon 1.

Pizza Connection 3 came out in 2018. The basic concept remained the same. Simply done somewhat differently, cooking simulation games are more popular now. In a way, the earlier games might not had much success. No on ever thought they would left a legacy like this. People still talking about these games is a good sign.

Currently the status of Fast Food Tycoon 1 is unclear. What we do know is Assemble Entertainment doesn't own it with the rest of the franchise. Even if another company were to get involved. They more likely become a publisher for a different region or drop the game altogether.

Being a developer and a publisher are vastly different jobs. A game company develops video games. They are responsible for helping to get the games selling through commercials and ads. Mostly, they helped get games released into the market. Digitally it could differ from PC being automatic to waiting for game companies to approve em.

Therefore, having several publishers of a game can be frustrating. Not as bad as multiple companies over a license game or games with many crossover dlcs. The way it looks one company handling everything for this franchise. Long term, this would work out way better than having to share with other companies.

My thoughts on Xbox Games Showcase

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, today there was a live stream filled with video game announcements called Xbox Games Showcase. Not long ago, Sony done theirs not much to say. I figured more than enough these announcements gotten my attention. I should share my thoughts on em. Microsoft went quite big with their ego today lol.

I will discuss them in order they appeared in. This should help make it easier to keep following the stream. Majority of the announcements is a long list. I didn't have enough interest to cover the entire Xbox Games Showcase. Even if I did, this blog entry would be quite lengthy. It's better to just cover the announcements that gotten me the most interested.

Seriously quickly scroll through the entire blog entry, I think this is long enough already.

1. Doom: The Dark Ages

Recently I was hearing rumors of a new Doom game. I still haven't finished Doom: Eternal neither do I own it. I swear eventually I'll get it with the story expansions. Now this trailer from start to finish, I was instantly sold. We bring some futuristic aspects to medieval here. Simply going by the texts earlier in the trailer, this is a prequel.

We don't know if this took place before the events of the original Doom. A concept they surprisingly haven't done before. They had remade it with Doom 3 series. Let's be honest that's not the same. Funny enough, among many Doom campaigns you can add into the first two Doom games. One of them so happened to be called Doom Zero.

Unofficially someone done the concept before Bethesda. I always welcome a new Doom game. As long as there's so many demons with a lot of weapons. Plus some truly sick music while I'm playing. Doom: The Dark Ages is going to be among my top choices to play on Game Pass in the near future. This might be the sickest looking Doom game ever!!!

Assuming they might do more story expansion dlcs. Which in this case could be rather interesting. I really wanna see more than what was actually shown. I always been a huge Doom fan for many years. I also love Medieval stuff to a degree. I felt this one could be the single goriest Doom game in existence. Also you get to fly an dragon further sold me on this!!!

2. Fallout 76: Skyline Valley (expansion)

It's safe to say I have just enough interest in Fallout series to talk about. I actually moderate someone on Twitch that's been playing Fallout 76 for months. The option to play as a ghoul, you know the world going to go upside down. Fallout 76 is like a more multiplayer Fallout 4 with even more ridiculous options.

Fallout in recent years is becoming a popular franchise for Bethesda. I was happy Fallout gotten announcement in some form today. Fallout 76 is among the most ridiculous games Bethesda ever made!!! Honestly, it took some time to come back from being heavily rushed out. Fallout 76 is clearly an underdog among many expansion announcements here.

Fallout 76 is virtually an online multiplayer Fallout game. Bethesda already done a similar concept with The Elder Scrolls series. Well I'm not here to discuss that game's announcement. I like Fallout because somehow it made post apocalyptic concept work for me. You also have some stuff that's strikingly similar to BioShock series that's quite interesting too.

3. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

The only game I previously talked about before. Simply going by the new footage shown. This Metal Gear game looks absolutely amazing. I'm still not happy they chosen the lazy voice over method. MGS3 always meant so much to me. I really wanna believe this is going to be great. However how Konami handled the more recent Metal Gear collection game, I heavily question that.

I didn't even mind The Boss' hair color was changed. They are attempting to make this even more realistic. Which is already a challenge because of how realistic the original game was. It was a rather unique experience that I still haven't experience else where. This remake is likely going to out do Silent Hill 2 Remake.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater where it stands either could be the very thing to bring the franchise back or further sunk it down. The original game was truly ahead of it's time. Many people are expecting it to somehow be better than the original game like Resident Evil 4 Remake. I will be brutally honest, I don't think it's in that good of a care.

4. Age of Mythology: Retold (surprise pick)

I'm still somewhat new into strategy games. I knew about Age of Mythology a long time ago. I'm surprised they are finally bringing it back. Considering a lot of newer games heavily influenced by mythologies. I shouldn't be this surprise to see the actual announcement. I think this is among a lot of games getting on Game Pass Day 1.

I would love to give this game a try even if I suck at it. I do like some mythologies with Greek, Norse and Egyptian mythologies being my favorites. I am curious to see what you actually can do in it. What I do know is a lot of people missed the original game a lot. I do think this game going to do amazingly well.

Age of Mythology: Retold could even possibly start a new tread. All of a sudden, these similar, older franchises comes back with newer versions too. I always welcome more mythology within anything. This should have enough content to keep you busy for months. Strategy games are time consumers in many ways, this one has Gods!!!

5. Perfect Dark

Here's a game I wasn't even sure if it's still being worked on or canceled. I waited a couple years waiting to find out if the game still happening or not. I was very happy with what was shown of the game. This alone way better than Perfect Dark Zero. This felt like a true modernize Perfect Dark concept.

It's a little weird, she's tasked with stopping Daniel Carrington. The name should be quite familiar with classic Perfect Dark fans. Carrington was Dark's boss in the original Perfect Dark game. This game looks ambitious with many ways to differ itself from the N64 classic. If Rare doesn't get rushed, this could be their best Xbox game in a long time.

Not to insult Sea of Thieves, sadly I still haven't played that. It was that reason I didn't include the new season announcement for that game. I am still happy Rare got some huge announcements out today. Perfect Dark is among my most awaited FPS games. I am crossing my fingers how the final game going to do.

We really don't want a repeat of Perfect Dark Zero on our hands. Which was still way better than Saints Row reboot. It's already difficult to go in with expectations. We got a really great FPS game on N64 and Xbox 360 respectively. We also gotten this lackluster prequel with a decent multiplayer mode. At least, the multiplayer could be something to look forward to if the main campaign isn't great right?

6. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

I heard rumors for months about this license game. I'm even amazed MachineGames that's currently making Wolfenstein & Doom games are back with this. Obviously Harrison Ford is involved, a great sign. This is a spiritual successor to Wolfenstein series. From what was shown, it almost felt like an actual Indian Jones movie.

I still haven't watched the new movie. This also coming to Game Pass, I'm willing to give this a try too. This could be just like Ghostbusters: The Video Game was to it's movies. Honestly, I usually don't get excited over Indiana Jones games. This is a rare exception, I wanna play this soon. Let's hope it lives up to the hype.

Considering the last few Indiana Jones movies didn't do well finically. This game could be easily seen as a new Indiana Jones movie. If it's good enough, people may pretend the last two movies doesn't exist. In place of em will be this game, which would be a huge honor. There's a lot riding on this game that I don't want the hype to kill it before Indy gets going.

7. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (surprise pick)

An actual new game not in a franchise. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is similar to games by FromSoftware Inc. This might be an assumption, this game could be on similar levels of difficulty. We are talking games so hard, you might be playing em for years. It's a growing trend among RPG style that's heavily combat focused.

The trailer got me interested in it enough to keep an eye on the game. I really wasn't expecting any new games to do this either. I didn't even go into watching these announcements with a list what to see. I virtually went in blind, this game to me was quite interesting. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers could be a truly amazing game, I guess we will see.

More recently, I started to notice Chinese mythology coming back to video games. I'm somewhat inspired in Chinese mythology mostly Sun Wukong. Seriously, he's a strangely interesting God character in those stories. I am curious to see the level of creativity with a mythology like that. I also want the game to differ itself from those similar games, I know that's asking quite a lot.

I also gotta mention, we see this pile of corpses in similar style to many franchises. It's always risky to start a trailer off like this, I felt it worked well enough. The art work is truly impressive stuff. I also love seeing a weapon gets pulled out of a creature's back. I confess I'm not an hardcore gamer that can play games on their hardest difficulties often, I have done it though.

8. Assassin's Creed: Shadows

Another game I heard rumors about. Assassin's Creed is among the biggest game franchises in the world. I figured if an announcement were to show up, they had to reveal a new game in Japan. Well that's exactly what happened. Simply going by the trailer, two playable characters. An brutal samurai and a skilled female ninja aka kunoichi respectively.

Maybe it's just me, the sickest Assassin's Creed trailer ever. I played a handful of Assassin's Creed games. Most of them are open world sandbox games you assassinate people. Kinda like Hitman series except you are given more of the world to explore. I will be honest, if there was an Assassin's Creed game I would come back for, it's this one!!!

Assassin's Creed series is filled with so much content. Plus being in a particular era Japan would be truly amazing stuff. Obviously you gotta risk breaking your bank with franchises like this. There's a huge chance, this could be worth all that money. Just getting to explore Japan as two vastly different characters is already enough reason for me to play this.

9. Gears of War: E-Day

I played a lot of Gears games. Sadly Microsoft kept going heavy with the dlcs. Plus being a gamer, your list of games constantly increases. This is just a trailer, I do wanna play this one. Another prequel game like Gears of War: Judgment's earlier portions. I think we will see more of what happened. Not a lot of people knows there's additional books that extended the lore a bit.

I don't know how canon these books actually are. But a lot of franchises especially Star Wars does that. I do think this is going to be a great Gears game. Possibly going back to the basics as well as the classic Gears style. This could even be among the very best of them if it's done just right. I was quite excited among seeing the trailer, I do support this franchise too.

Gears of War: E-Day I think possibly could be the most interesting Gears game ever. There's still some stuff not fully answered. We might see more of Marcus' past. Personally, what I'm hoping to see above everything else. I really wanna see what triggered this war in the first place. There's no way their queen suddenly decided to go to war with humans just like that, something must've happened.

Why I look more towards newer versions of retro games than newer ones?

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I previously talked about this in another blog entry. This is more of a straight forward take on the same topic. More recently, I been happier about newer versions of retro games than actual newer games. Not to say there wasn't any decent modern games, of course I played some truly amazing games.

Several game companies are working very hard to keep as many older video games from going extinct. A lot of them update several things as well as add in nice bonuses. This week alone, we got a few rather interesting video game remastered versions coming. Killing Time: Resurrected, I owned an older version of the same game on GOG.

Very recently The Thing now getting it's own remastered version. Yes this is based on the 1980s movie remake of the same name. Which is still among my scariest horror movies list. The rate games are coming out, the reality of older ones becoming loss to time is quite real. Most of these retro games are notably cheaper than a lot of newer video games.

For me, it's a nice bonus when they show up on GOG. Obviously, multiple companies has to be on board with bringing back the classics or nothing happens. Some situations are trickier than others. A large number of these rereleases are on multiple platforms too. I'm sure a lot of us has our own list of retro classics we want back.

Especially when the current direction of gaming isn't a great one. I would be even more upset if these rereleases never happened. A difficult reality for some people to visualize. Also a lot of them are notably smaller games too. I always respected the older video games. The rate these rereleases comes out is quite fast.

Nine out of ten times I get very excited knowing many classics are coming back. I'm still waiting for Gex Trilogy lol. Honestly, there's too many amazing games to lose access to. This is one of many reasons people turned to pirating video games. Which is rather sad that's becoming more common.

Video games is one of many universal languages in this world. We all have our taste in what we like as well as what we don't like. Yes I'm looking at you, Superman 64!!! I'm deeply thankful to every game company trying to bring as many classic games as possible. Without people like you in the world, gaming would quickly become boring and repetitive.

I figured to throw out a few possible retro games I really wanna see get some form of a rerelease.

1. Bushido Blade series
This is a big if, a few companies including Squaresoft now Square Enix created such a franchise. In both these games, you got surprisingly close to an actual sword fight you could get. I would even dare to say it rivaled Soul Blade on the same system. These games were amazingly good at what they do, it's mind blowing virtually no rereleases!!!

2. The Suffering series
I am aware The Suffering series is on GOG. Those are the original PC versions of the games. I think games like these would do amazingly well. Especially having the right team to remastered them both. I do think there's potential for greatness. Sure, it may suffer from Midway but more people would enjoy em now.

3. Nightmare Creatures series
Considering Shadow Man of all things gotten an remastered version. A franchise I know a lot of people would love to see make an return. Nightmare Creatures series would be exactly what some people need right now. At one point, there were plans for a movie. Not to mention, a lot of people missed out on playing Nightmare Creatures 2.

4. Jersey Devil
Not a lot of people knows this following fact. The common knowledge of the 90s, a lot of game companies had mascots. Behavior, yes the Dead by Daylight company previously made Jersey Devil. I remembered this fun platformer as a kid. Along with MediEvil series, this was something perfect for Halloween without needing to become a more mature game.

5. The Simpsons: Hit & Run
Unofficially someone did make a remastered version of The Simpsons: Hit & Run. Easily, among the greatest Simpsons games ever created. Let's be honest, so many people really wants this game to come back. It's quite obvious, this is going to be amazingly well. Especially having the right team to properly bring it back.

6. Spider-Man 1 and 2
No not the movie games of the same titles. I'm talking about what could be seen as a precursor Spider-Man series to Insomniac Games' Spider-Man series. These amazing Spider-Man games were a huge love letter to the fans. I already know these coming back are going to do very well. Just don't give us little to nothing changed ports please.

7. Some retro Batman games
Before Batman: Arkham series, Batman did have several decent games. We are talking Batman on NES, Batman Returns on SNES and more. This could be a massive head ache with a lot of companies involved. But having the right team with the right retro Batman lineup. You can bet that's going to sell a lot in record time, you can count on that.

It's very difficult to come up with a definitive list. Considering there's so many Batman games. It doesn't mean we don't have ways to speed up the process. Like through a particular era of Batman games. I strongly believe this Batman collection could be beyond expectations. It's kinda sad unofficial Batman collection games might end up being the way to go.

8. Toy Story
Toy Story 2 game gotten an rerelease. Why not the original Toy Story game? Yes every version of it had several differences, I grew up with the Genesis version. This was a surprisingly ambitious game for both Sega Genesis and SNES. It was among the best movie games for both systems. It does a great job following the movie, why isn't this getting ported too?

9. MediEvil II
We were lucky to get MediEvil Remake. I know a lot of MediEvil fans really wants MediEvil II to return. This follow up had changes that left many people mixed. Still a fun game that's becoming lost to time. This had some interesting moments that occurs. It's safe to say this quickly went under people's radars, I hope a rerelease changes that.

10. Knuckles' Chaotix
One of the best Sega 32X games ever made. It may lack a main Sonic title. But it did gain a surprisingly decent one in it's place. More of an unique spin off game that's somewhat ambitious. A precursor to Sonic Heroes concept. Some Sonic collections had stuff from this but never the actual game weird right?

11. Haunting Starring Polterguy
I do own Ghost Master, the closest game to this. Both possibly inspired to some degree to Beetlejuice. The goal is scare an family out of their home. You can get quite creative with this. I could see the right people making this remastered version or a decent modern port amazing. A game to simply scare people alone is enough reason for me to buy it.

12. Bloody Roar series
This franchise was ahead of it's time. Before transformations became big in the genre. You can play as human forms of several characters as well as humanoid forms. Even going for the first two Bloody Roar games, a lot of fighting game fans would love it. Easily among the most unique fighting games on earlier PlayStation consoles.

13. Cadillacs and Dinosaurs
Capcom loves rereleasing many video games. Especially Arcade classics yet where the hell is this? Cadillacs and Dinosaurs was based on a comic book series. Which also gotten an show during the 90s. I know license beat em ups, they have several can be tricky to get an rerelease for.

14. Some retro Power Rangers games
I already stated to no longer be an Power Rangers fan. As a kid, I knew about some of the 90s games. The right company with the right lineup of Power Rangers games could be amazing. Honestly, MMPR: The Movie (Genesis game) better be included or I'm not buying it. Some of these games were truly amazing for their time.

Mostly Sega Genesis and SNES Power Rangers games.

15. Captain America and The Avengers
There's a few ways they could do this. They could simply port the license Arcade game. They also could port the NES game, more of it's own thing in comparison. We could get both of those with the decent Genesis port based on the Arcade game. We just know the SNES version being excluded probably a good idea.

16. Chuck Rock series
An underrated platformer series before Core Design made the original Tomb Raider series. Possibly inspired by The Flintstones, you get a parody of the stone age. Either play as the dad in Chuck Rock 1 or his son in Chuck Rock 2. Considering Joe & Mac came back awhile ago, I think Chuck Rock series deserves a come back too.
