Top 5 Marvel Super Heroines & Female Super Villains

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, now it's time to present my favorite good & bad ladies of the Marvel universe. Once again this is strictly my opinion only. Obviously not everyone will agree with my list.

Top 5 Marvel Super Heroines

5. Invisible Woman

Susan Storm-Richards is a founding members of the super hero team Fantastic Four and wife of Mr. Fantastic. Her powers not only allows her entirely body become invisible. She also can create powerful force fields. This would make her the all around characters since she got both offense & defense covered. She has plenty of experience dealing with intense to possibly epic events.

4. Rogue

Who doesn't like Rogue from X-Men? She had a rough early life that led to a short live crime life. Eventually she joined X-Men to better not only herself but humanity itself. Rogue has the ability to absorb normal people's life & those with powers get their powers temporary stolen. Depending to how long she holds on, you might go into a coma. In doing so, parts of your powers becomes hers like when that happened to Ms. Marvel. Rogue having difficulty controlling her powers always made her an interesting character.

3. She-Hulk

Jennifer Walters is an cousin of Bruce Banner aka Hulk. She got into an accident with no signs of recover. Bruce decided to allow his blood to be used on her knowing this could get him into trouble. Instead of becoming exactly like Hulk. Jennifer maintains her intelligence with complete control over her Hulk form. Honestly there is just something about her that gets me going. Not that you perverts lol.

2. X-23

Although Wolverine has a lot of children. X-23 is actually a female clone of him made from his damaged cells. After getting trained, her skills became superior to that Wolverine himself. Wolverine does view her as his daughter since they got a lot of things in common. X-23 also has a nemesis that acts & opposes a similar challenge like Sabretooth does to Wolverine. She is truly amazing as a clone of a classic character to actually be better than him in some ways.

1. Phoenix (Jean Grey)

Now come on this should've been obvious. Jean Grey did start on X-Men as Marvel Girl. Shortly becoming possessed by Phoenix. Things changed in a hurry of something truly mind blowing. Phoenix greatly increases her mind powers that already rivaled Professor Xavier's. Phoenix has some sick abilities that makes her a true god like being. In death with Phoenix can really become close to unstoppable. Jean Grey is by no means a person you want coming after you.

Let's welcome the bad ladies of Marvel that many people simply can't get enough of. Trust me when I say you won't miss any of them.

Top 5 Marvel Female Super Villains

5. Lady Deathstrike

Lady Deathstrike is one of Wolverine's regular enemies. She did date Wolverine that was short lived. Later in life loss both her arms to get replaced by adamantium arms with long claws. She always held a strong hatred for Wolverine for blaming him over some bad things that happened. Lady Deathstrike puts up great fights with Wolverine.

4. Mystique

Mystique is adopted sister of Professor Xavier and mother of X-Men member Nightcrawler. She can change her entire body to look, sound & act like people. In fact due to her experience within Brotherhood of Mutants. By the time Mystique finally joined X-Men, she already was one of their hardest to find members.

3. Emma Frost

Emma Frost better known as White Queen spent many years as a reoccurring enemy of X-Men. Rare among her kind, White Queen has two powers rather than just one like most of them. Her first powers are similar to Professor Xavier's in terms of doing almost everything he could do to people mentally. Her second powers transforms her entire skin into diamonds. However the fault of it is one weak spot hit just the right way can cause it to deactivate.

2. The Enchantress

Not to be confused by DC's female super villain of the same name. The Enchantress usually plays a huge role in Thor's stories. A kiss from her to most men turns them into her slaves. She can do a lot of impressive feats with magic. She stands as one of the most clever among his enemies. The Enchantress has helped his brother Loki several times to screw him over.

1. Dark Phoenix

Before everyone starts freaking out yes I just gave Phoenix number 1 on heroes list. Why would I give her number 1 on both lists? Dark Phoenix is less Jean Grey but more Phoenix in terms of many things. This variation not only more powerful. Dark Phoenix is insanely difficult to take down even with a skilled group of heroes fighting together. Also Phoenix regularly possesses women a lot more often than men. Which technically would make the Phoenix force itself a female character. The insane abilities either half of her within Jean Grey are truly mind blowing.

Top 5 DC Super Heroines & Female Super Villains

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, today I want to apologize for not listing any female super heroines or villains in my previous lists. I'm not sexist by any means but of course I like a lot of them within comic books. This is my way to not upset anyone over that. I wanted to start with DC that will be quickly followed by it's Marvel counterpart. Once again all of this is strictly my opinion only.

Top 5 DC Super Heroines

5. Catwoman

Yes Catwoman is technically a neutral character since she did a lot of good & bad things. She was popular enough to get her own comic book series. Often helps Batman & some of his enemies. Catwoman in some story lines ends up becoming Bruce's girl friend. Very few of those got deeper than that. Regardless Catwoman is a truly interesting character.

4. Starfire

One of the founding members of the super hero team Teen Titans. Starfire can manipulate fire to a degree depending on things. At one point she almost got married to the original Robin Dick Grayson. She usually trains, helps & sometimes leads Teen Titans. As a alien creature, she is unique in usage of fire.

3. Wonder Woman

Although I'm not flat out crazy for Wonder Woman. I can't overlook her debut did get a lot of women into comic books. Her stories are a unique mixture of comic books & Greek mythology. The original female super heroine of not only DC but in comics. Wonder Woman still inspiring many ladies to this day. She is one of the most popular DC characters to date.

2. Harley Quinn

I know this could get criticize by people. Yes Harley has done a lot of bad things over the years. In some stories especially those related to the Suicide Squad. She has done a lot of good things with some bad stuff from time to time. Harley is a wild girl that's difficult to predict but fun as hell to watch.

1. Batgirl (Barbara Gordon)

Yes there are several Batgirls within the Bat Family. Obviously Barbara Gordon stood out the most to me. She can remember stuff like some people at a faster pace. Being the original Batgirl, she tried very hard to get closer to Batman. She would be the closest female Batman in DC universe. Barbara so happens to be Commissioner Gordon's daughter. How she fits in even after what The Joker did to her in The Killing Joker as Oracle is impressive.

Now it's time for DC's Female Super Villains. I had a harder time deciding which ones I always like to some degree.

Top 5 DC Female Super Villains

5. Talia al Ghul

The one woman Bruce Wayne loves that always ends up terrible for him. Talia is one of many daughters of Ra's al Ghul. Just like her father, Talia really tries getting Bruce to become her father's successor as the leader of the league of assassins. She has her own servants that are highly skilled assassins. Talia can hold her own against The Dark Knight.

4. Lady Shiva

Lady Shiva is one of the best assassins in the DC universe. She is widely known for only using her hands to kill people. Often stated to be one of the best female fighters respectively. She also had many run ins with many super heroes including Batman. Lady Shiva is very difficult to take down. She is good enough to hold her own against a large amount of people & walk away fine.

3. Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy was the result of a lab experiment that killed Pamela Isley. But she got reborn as Poison Ivy with a connection to the Green. A mysterious force connected to all plant life. She may not be the avatar of it like Swamp Thing but she would be the second best at it. Poison Ivy has some terrible things to Batman as well as some of his enemies including Two Face. She can create & manipulate plants to a degree. Also her kiss puts a powerful poison in your body.

2. Killer Frost

Yes I know about several characters sharing the name Killer Frost. Regardless which one you are into. They're not all that different from each other. All of them use ice powers to do bad things to those around them. More recently she is getting more popular with many people. Killer Frost usually a regular enemy to Firestorm.

1. Cheetah

There was no question in my mind who would get number 1. Yes many people including a man share the name Cheetah as well as the same curse. Most of them really doesn't likes Wonder Woman to a fault. Cheetah always pushes Wonder Woman in majority of their battles. Cheetah also has been in many super villain teams. Her ruthless nature with difficulty to predict at times. It is no wonder why many people enjoy watching Cheetah over the years.

1. Superman vs. One Punch Man

10. Waddle Dee vs. Goomba (Army Battle)

Finally we got a army battle that is crazier than some of the big scale Death Battle fights. They really out did themselves with such a difficult fight to fit in one minute. I am impressed by how well animated from start to finish it is. Sorta a spiritual successor to Bowser's story line within OMM universe. It may not be as good as those episodes, I still highly recommend it.

9. Hulk vs. Broly

This is a epic battle that so many people wanted to see. Animation wise I was impressed by how well done both characters were. They made this feel like a missing Dragon Ball Z episode with Marvel thrown in. I loved the ending because in my mind that's something I always thought would happen in their fight. This fight had so much potential to be one of the best.

8. Piccolo vs. Martian Manhunter

A huge request by people including myself. I am heavily against it for Death Battle. But this is going to play out more the way people want it to in One Minute Melee. Man they did a great job making it entertaining as humanly possible. I got to be honest this could be one of the absolute best fights with an Dragon Ball character. I really enjoy watching this episode so many times never getting old of it.

7. Joseph Joestar vs. Edward Elric

When I first saw this I knew very little about Joseph Joestar. Now I'm a big fan of him since I watched JoJo's Bizarre Adventure on Toonami. Honestly more recently this made a lot more sense to me why these two. They're so similar in many ways that no body thought this actually could be a good fight. I loved this fight with a passion because both characters are done incredibly well. Yes I'm a bigger Edward Elric fan but I still enjoy this episode a lot.

6. Sasori vs. Alice Margatroid

Puppets vs. Dolls I guess no body thought the team would do this kind of fight. This is one of their creepiest fights to date. Such an unique concept for a battle that simply can't be recreated by anyone else. I enjoy this fight a lot since it reminds me of similar fights in their previous seasons I love. This fight goes down as the one that surprised me the most they actually did it.

5. Paul vs. Ken

Hell yeah Paul vs. Ken simply needed to happen. These two are incredibly similar & easily one of the best fighters in their universes. I really enjoy watching this as it does feel like a true cross over fight. Now I know I don't even need to bring up their cross over game. At the same time this fight was actually better than that game yes I just said that.

4. Oni vs. Kenpachi Zaraki

A true conclusion to what originally started by me requesting it. Yes I'm not lying about that fact under my real name. This really made up for round 2 fight in so many ways. Honestly this rivals their original fight back in season 1. I am really glad they gave us Bankai Kenpachi. They did fix up Oni's sprites to look more faithful to his character. I really love everything about this fight.

3. Chris Redfield vs. Snake

There are a lot of strong similarities between Konami's Metal Gear & Capcom's Resident Evil. I am very happy with this fight as a huge fan of both series. WOW they did an amazing job animating both legendary video game characters. This is one of the absolute best fights among those with weapons & gadgets. I highly recommend this to both fan bases.

2. M. Bison vs. God Rugal

God Rugal came from a cross over game that got parts of Akuma's Dark Hado to become a monster. In an sense we got another fight with Akuma but someone else using parts of his power. Obviously this fight was intense from start to finish. Everything about this episode makes it truly unique. Once again we got another episode that simply can't be truly recreated. I am really impressed by the animation in general.

1. Gon vs. Midoriya

Yes we did wait the longest for the season finale. But it really was well worth the wait. I was expecting Gon to take on Yu Yu Hakusho's Yusuke Urameshi. I got to be honest they really out did themselves here. A rare case of a fight being multiple rounds in one episode. I love all the cut scenes before, during and after each round. This does feel like an episode from both animes. I am really blown away how amazing voice acting & animation was in this episode. I really can't say enough to justify how damn good it is.

I hope you guys enjoy my list for season 4 of One Minute Melee. I will do the same when season 5 ends next year. Until next time I'm Jack Red and I'll see all of you later.

Ghost Rider Movie Reviews

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, one of my personal favorite unusual comic book super heroes is Ghost Rider. The Spirit of Vengeance haunts the supernatural to protect the world of the living. Possibly one of the absolute scariest super heroes in comic book history. Ghost Rider recently got added to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. show although I highly questioned it. Bottom line Ghost Rider really needs his own Netflix show. In fact if it were being done as soon as that show comes out. I would drop everything to watch the entire season that's how badly I want it.

Ghost Rider (2007)

This movie is one of the biggest disappointments among Marvel movies. Everyone agrees this movie was poorly done in so many ways. Nicholas Cage was not right for the role of Ghost Rider. Blackheart is hilariously done wrong in this movie too. First off his appearance is really off & not even scary in the slightest. Second the way he went about things is off. In the comics, Blackheart would attempt to corrupt heroes & goes all out in fights. Also no mentions of the realm where he's at his most powerful anywhere in these movies. In this movie, Blackheart flat out uses people's darkness to kill people. Very similar to how Ghost Rider's penance stare. Also this version of Ghost Rider isn't suppose to have penance stare. No that honor belongs to his brother Daniel. Mephisto's name is horribly off now spelled as Mephistopheles. For the record Mephisto was one of many hell rulers not the devil as this movie portrays him to be. Still I am happy with Mephisto's portrayal in the movie. Honestly this isn't better than the live action Spawn movie. At least there I could name some scenes I really enjoy including those with Violator. This movie is an insult to not only the character but also to Ghost Rider fans in general.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011)

OMG this is one of the absolute worst Marvel movie sequels. Ghost Rider; Spirit of Vengeance isn't a good title for a movie. Spirit of Vengeance is another title the character often gets called by. I'm guessing they couldn't pick a better title for this horrible movie. They really tried making Cage looking like insane in this movie. Who doesn't remember the part where the kid asks him about how does Ghost Rider piss lol. Sadly that's the only part of the entire movie worth mention. Yes it doesn't have anything to do with the plot but at least it is enjoyable. I can't believe they further insult us by renaming Mephisto to Roarke. Who the hell is Roarke in Marvel universe anyway? Honestly just for the love of God name him Mephisto like in the comics morons. Of course let's talk about one of the characters this movie really got wrong Blackout. Depending on the original or second Blackout who has very clever differences. This movie really didn't do the character justice. Let me explain the original Blackout uses darkness in many ways. The second Blackout can use most forms of light along with darkness. This version also is part demon making him more super powered over the original Blackout. This version of the character is vulnerable to sun light. Guess what in this movie, Blackout decays everything within seconds of touching anything except Ghost Rider. Also this version was dying that accepted a deal from Roarke to get revenge on Ghost Rider. Yes I am aware some of that is confusing but this movie as a whole is one gigantic mess. It so bad that I really don't want to talk about it anymore. It is amazingly they allowed this garbage to come out.

Now although the ranking in this blog is obvious I still have to do this.

Punisher Movie reviews

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, today I wanted to cover all the live action Punisher movies. Up til very recently in Netflix shows, Marvel kept rebooting these movies. Why no body really knows but I'm here to talk about all three Punisher movies. Believe it or not, all three of them are more different from each other.

The Punisher (1989)

True story the movie company making it was already about to close their doors. They did what they could & by pure chance this movie got released. This version of The Punisher is that company's final movie before going out of business. Mostly due to that the famous Skull logo isn't present in this movie. Let's be honest here Dolph Lundgren wasn't the right guy to play The Punisher. This movie is really unfaithful to it's source material. Yes he does go around taking out criminals like he does in the comics. They show so little of the tragedy that led to him becoming The Punisher. This movie portrays him more of a murder than a hero. The body count is very high for a Marvel movie of it's time. The Punisher is suppose to force information out of people on some occasions. One of many famous traits missing this version of the character. This movie is kinda rare to find now but it depends on your tastes. If you simply want a Punisher movie or one with a lot of killing in an action movie. You may enjoy this but if you are a comic book fan chances are you are going to hate this movie. I'm not trying to insult the actor by stating this. The Punisher talks almost like Frankenstein's Monster & not in a bad ass way either. To me it seem like he was on drugs while doing this movie. Also The Punisher wouldn't hide out in the sewers. This is debatable among many Marvel movies where exactly to put it. Personally I think the movie is okay but nothing special.

The Punisher (2004)

This is the definite Punisher movie experience. Out of all three movies, The Punisher 2004 version nails it. Thomas Janes is really great as The Punisher. More recently he reprises the role in a short video. This is exactly what we wanted in the first place. Everything about this movie is so on point that it rivals some of the finest among DC movies I'm not kidding. This version of The Punisher is really good for what it brings to the table. I honestly can't criticize anything about this movie. My favorite scene is a lot of people's favorite as well. Everybody enjoys the scene where he fought The Russian played by wrestler Kevin Nash. I highly recommend checking out 2004 version as soon as possible. Also you can rent or buy this movie on Steam.

Punisher: War Zone (2008)

Finally we get to Punisher: War Zone I'm mixed about this movie. Originally was going to be a sequel to the 2004 movie. A lot of changes occurs during the making that led to another reboot instead. I will say I do like this version of The Punisher more than 1989 version but still not saying much. The story is easily better than 1989 version as well but still miles behind 2004 version. I am glad they gave us his nemesis Jigsaw. I could criticize his appearance but his performance does stand out. Some could argue this version of The Punisher is more accurate to the comics. To me Thomas Janes was perfect for the role. Ray Stevenson does his best as the character. I felt due to some of the changes over time made this movie come off a little rushed. This movie is still far from perfect in many ways. I am not even sure if I should recommend this movie or not. It would slightly be more recommended over 1989 version. Let's be honest this movie ends up going even during action packed scenes very slow. Yes Jigsaw's brother was my favorite character of the movie along with Jigsaw. Yes I wasn't crazy about how this movie was handled. I'm not saying it because a woman directed this movie. There's plenty of great movies directed by women over the years. Maybe this is more on the crew's fault it ended up being a major disappointment. Also following release wise to the 2004 version doesn't help it either.

Now it's time to rank all the live action Punisher movies.
3. The Punisher (1989)
2. Punisher: War Zone (2008)

Live Action Batman Movie reviews

Before I start talking about Batman movies. I will not be reviewing any movie a part of the new live action DC movie universe. Chances are I could be getting those in the near future. I will say for the record Suicide Squad was much better than the heavily anticipate Batman v. Superman movie.

1. Batman (serial) (1943)

DC made a select few serial series early on. For those that don't know what a serial is. These were shows that often play in movie theaters since they are technically classified as movies. In that regard to fully see the entire movie you have to watch every part from start to finish. This used to be a common thing in those times. This serial is very loosely based on Batman in general. It is still far from terrible that kinda holds up a little bit. Basically if it weren't for this serial series, the 1966 show would've suck. A lot of people today would ignore it for being too dated & lacking color. Honestly lacking color does work depending on particular Batman stories. As for dated yeah a little bit but it is still more entertaining than some of the worst live action Batman movies.

2. Batman and Robin (serial) (1949)

Not to be confused by the 1997 movie of the same name. This is a follow up to their first Batman serial series. Honestly it doesn't hold up as much as it's precursor. Some characters are done better like Robin & Alfred. This serial series also played a major role in the success of the 1966 show. This one does play out a little more predictable. At the same time it still was a good attempt introducing a lot of people to these characters. It is a shame none of their regular villains appears in both serial series. In my opinion the music is easily the best thing about this serial series.

3. Batman (1966)

Interesting fact instead of hanging over the movie to another company. During the making of the first two seasons. They took it upon themselves to make the movie themselves. Although this is the first live action movie Batman to be classified in more recent times. I just proven this is actually the third predating two Batman movie series. Honestly this is one of the best Batman movies you can find. Yes you do need a open mind since the 60s were different to modern times. Some characters like The Joker did get tone down a lot. Caesar Romero is still one of the best live action actors to play the character. This is one of the best things about the 1966 show. Yes this later screwed them over ending the show so soon following it's release. At the same time it is amazing how well this movie holds up. Most of the regular actors are present with the second lady playing Catwoman. Most people doesn't know this following fact but officially counting this movie. Three actresses plays Catwoman on Batman 1966 show. The second most was The Riddler with the later guy played Gomez Addams in the original Addams Family show. Some of the most famous Batman memes originated from this movie. I do recommend this movie but there's plenty of better Batman movies out there.

4. Batman (1989)

This is one of my personal favorite Batman & DC movies of all time. OMG this movie despite not following the source material well was amazing. Easily one of the finest among Tim Burton's movies. Everything else is so well done that I'm still impressed by it. This movie stands as the very movie to forever change everyone's opinion of the character. Officially thanks to this movie, almost everything following it becomes dark. Ever since then became a reoccurring theme. Jack Nicholson is really good as The Joker. Michael Keaton is one of the few actors in my opinion to nail both Bruce & Batman. I just love everything about this movie.

5. Batman Returns (1992)

This movie is possibly positive but a lot of people didn't like this sequel. Batman Returns is incredibly dark for a Batman movie. As stated before many things following 1989 movie went in that direction. I could get hit very hard by stating this but I love The Penguin in this movie. Let's be honest most fans would agree some versions work while others doesn't. In fact he usually appears more so on the worst Batman villains list than the best for that reason alone. Once again this isn't faithful to the source material but I still love this movie with a passion. This movie was something else for it's time with Dany DeVito playing The Penguin was a great idea. I do enjoy Catwoman in this movie more so than many Batman movie versions. I do find parts of this movie a little depressing. Some parts you wouldn't expect the first time watching to have dark humor. Some of these jokes actually gets reused in games based on this movie. Batman Returns is sadly where the rest of the series starts falling down. Although I still recommend this movie as a big Batman fan.

6. Batman Forever (1995)

Due to the dark nature of the previous movie & what almost was Batman Forever being too similar. Tim Burton got fired to be replaced by Joel Schumacher. Already this should have some red flags. Batman Forever is a little too light for a Batman movie. The cast is mostly hit or miss with The Riddler being the best character. Yes I just said that The Riddler really steals the show. Tommy Lee Jones is a great actor but his portrayal of Two Face is questionable. This is a rare case of having the right actor but was used wrongly. Let me explain Two Face is suppose to be split on everything. Where he does coin tosses to determine what happens next. At the same time it wasn't done as close as well as some portrayals of the character. To be honest it comes off like he's trying to play a game. Also he would never kept trying to get the bad option in a series of coin tosses. Most of the time he usually is way too serious like Batman that doesn't stop until he gets what he wants. Two Face is suppose to be angrier than what was shown in this movie. Don't get me started on Robin, his portrayal altogether sucks & simply not worth mentioning. I am sorry but to me that is not Dick Grayson. In my mind that was more of a wanna gangster that wants to be Batman but had to settle for Robin. Sadly the best part of this movie is the music. However even right there we got a major problem. Most of it doesn't even feel like a Batman movie at all. Yes I do like some songs yet I felt it was a little too positive rather than the previous movies being more negative. Obviously you do need some light things in dark stories to keep going. By having it too light in it's entirely makes it feel like something else altogether. Also most games based on this movie aren't great & should be avoided at all costs.

7. Batman & Robin (1997)

Do I need to talk about Batman & Robin movie? Oh ok fine this movie is hands down the worst out of the four movies. Batman & Robin does the same mistake Spider-Man 3 does several years later. They used three of his villains with two of them horribly done. Mr. Freeze isn't suppose to talk like that or buff up muscles. His suit also looks laughable with his helmet being open. In most versions, his helmet covers his entire head to help keep in the temperature within the suit. Which means this version of Mr. Freeze should've already died during the movie. The way he was done in the entire movie is an insult to those who are big fans of the character. In fact due to this movie bombing, Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero got delayed although that movie wasn't much better either. Bane is horribly down played that is insulting. It doesn't help shortly after the release of this movie, the actor who played Bane died in real life. Bane was made to be a mindless idiot that works for Poison Ivy & later Mr. Freeze. Everyone knows Bane is suppose to be a great mixture of being a physical & mental challenge for the Dark Knight. There really isn't an excuse for this. Batgirl is also down played that's slightly better than Robin. Sadly Poison Ivy ends up being the best character. Possibly out of both Schumacher films, Poison Ivy is portrayed the best. Honestly everything you don't want in a super hero movie happens here. To sum it up too much was done going, the director clearly doesn't know Batman & too light once again. This time not even the music could save it from being avoided or torture to those watching it.

8. Batman Begins (2005)

Don't worry folks from this point only good Batman movies are left. Batman Begins is a reboot that caught a lot of people by surprise. Christopher Nolan did a great job revamping the characters. Personally one of my favorite Scarecrow's portrayals. Ra's al Ghul was done just right for this movie. Christian Bale is terrible as Bruce Wayne but okay as Batman. They did a great job retelling Batman's origin story. Easily one of the best Batman movies of all time. My biggest criticism has to be as small it may seem. I really wanted more Scarecrow in the actual movie. Sadly his later cameos in the other movies are short & left much empty feeling. I simply wanted more Scarecrow.

9. The Dark Knight (2008)

WOW The Dark Knight is amazing in every sense of the word. I am really impressed by how damn good this movie actually is. Possibly the best Joker portrayal I ever seen played by the late Heath Ledger. This guy went the extra mile to really help his performance stands out. In fact Sir Michael Caine during a particular scene actually got scared to not say anything. Honestly in a lot of people's minds Ledger was the definite Joker in cinema. Yes even better than Jack Nicholson's portrayal of the character. Everything from start to finish you really can't stop watching this movie. It is so good that my only criticism is it does go a little longer than it needs to & quickly doing Two Face the way they did. Don't get me wrong Aaron Eckhart is a great Harvey Dent & Two Face. Very close to the end they originally was going to do Two Face & The Riddler in the next movie. They decided at the last minute along with changing the ending to do Two Face late in the movie. Two Face is really on the money this time around. I actually wanted more of him since his scenes as Two Face are great. This movie does the comics justice that many people still need to see to believe.

10. Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Finally we get to our last Batman movie Dark Knight Rises. In my opinion it is sorta better than some of the previous Batman movies. At the same time as stated with The Dark Knight, this movie does go a little longer than needed. They took such a extreme way to end a movie series. Bane is done way better than Batman & Robin nailing what we love about the character. Yes I could criticize his voice but really enjoy his scenes. Spoiler alert Talia al Ghul is the real person pulling the strings. This is a direct follow up to Batman Begins. Catwoman is easily one of the best movie portrayals of the character. I still kinda prefer Michelle Pfeiffer's performance. Although this version of her is way more accurate to the source material. What's funny about that is she actually tried out for another role that wasn't a character in the movie to end up being Catwoman. Yes I'm not making that fact up folks. This is a great way to end one of the best movie trilogies in history. Honestly I am impressed by it but I still prefer many Batman movies over it.

Now it's time to rank all of these live action Batman movies.
9. Batman & Robin (1997)
8. Batman & Robin (1949)
7. Batman (1943)
6. Batman Forever (1995)
5. Batman (1966)
4. Batman Returns (1992)
3. Batman Begins (2005)
2. Dark Knight Rises (2012)
1. Batman (1989) & The Dark Knight (2008)

Honestly I really couldn't decide out of Batman 1989 version & The Dark Knight. Which Batman movie was better so I decided to give the top spot to both these classics instead.

Top 8 Video Game Movies Worse than Super Mario Brothers

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, so many stated Super Mario Brothers movie is the worst video game movie. Honestly it is bad but at least there was a few short parts I liked about it. This is more like a movie you could enjoy if you were doing drugs or simply need something to watch late at night. I seen video game movies that are much worse.

Only two rules matter for a list like this...
1. These movies must be live action
2. They must be based on video games

8. Alone in the Dark

Alone in the Dark series is somewhat forgotten today. One of the first survival horror games predating Capcom's Resident Evil. These games are a mystery you are trying to solve on your own. Monsters are trying to kill you every step of the way. Tough puzzles that are meant to test your patience, intelligence & skills. How do you bring all of that into a movie? The short answer is it didn't even try. This movie has a terrible cast with a horrible story that's dated for it's time. You expect more for a horror movie based on a once great game series. Everything does not work at all feeling more like it's own weird story. Someone must've looked at him probably drunk and said let's title it after those Alone in the Dark games. Oh come on we aren't idiots Hollywood. This was clearly given no respect as shown by the movie itself. This doesn't even scream for a moment this is Alone in the Dark. This movie makes you feel like you're surrounded by darkness wasting away your life. Instead of doing something else way more worth your time.

7. Silent Hill: Revelation

I do enjoy the original Silent Hill movie. Sadly I can't say the same about Silent Hill: Revelation. This was a poor man's take of doing Silent Hill 3's story in a movie. I mean come on they did some nails which is better than Alone in the Dark right? Yeah but all of that goes completely outside the window as you seen this movie then play Silent Hill 3. You quickly realize how terrible this movie actually is. They took so little of the actual story. Vincent was turned into a teenager as a love interest for Heather? Really guys that's pretty stupid considering this is a movie based on one of the scariest game series. You really expect a lot more scares, great designs & obviously acting. You don't get any of those at all. This movie ruins everything I loved about Silent Hill 3. This is a great example of doing a great story to be given to someone who claims to be a fan. We ended getting a mountain of crap for a sequel to a great movie. You should go in with two different high expectations. Although you will quickly be disappointed how much this doesn't live up.

6. Double Dragon

Oh boy Double Dragon is sure one terrible movie. The cartoon airing around the same time was better than this. I have to give credit they did bring somethings from the games into the movie. Although most of them are done terribly. Robert Patrick in one of his absolute worst roles. I kid you not his character doesn't fit the theme of the movie at all. Everything from the start to the end. The one thing you should be thinking is did I just wasted my night watching this movie. Double Dragon has some horrible designs especially for video game characters. OMG not even that scene where a Double Dragon cabinet getting destroyed can save this movie. This is like they trying to make a shorter Mad Max movie but decided to cash in on Double Dragon instead. It virtually has little to nothing to do with a once great beat em up series. One interesting note one of the main guys haven't appeared in anything else since this movie. Yes it is that bad despite getting better reviews which I know is stretching it than the previous movies I just covered.

5. Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li

Let's get this out of the way right now. The original live action Street Fighter movie was terrible. OMG Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li blew me away in actually being worse. At least the original movie was more like the games. I don't feel anything coming up like Street Fighter at all while watching this garbage. This movie is boring with a story that works too hard to be good. A movie that's amazing in sucking so bad that Capcom may not want to attempt another live action Street Fighter movie. Yes I know about the more recent Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist mini series that also got released as a movie. I highly recommend checking that out it is way better than both live action Street Fighter movies. This is just sad how horrible this movie became. Someone should've canceled this movie at all cost.

4. Resident Evil series

Although I like the original Resident Evil & Extinction. Most of these movies are terrible in their own right. Sure they do a better job bringing stuff from the games than those games I just covered. At the same time the entire plot from a true fan's point of view would say. This is impossible, there's no way a single virus could nearly wipe out humanity the rate of these movies. Each movie kept building on a okay story making it into a total train wreck. I am not kidding the last couple of them truly ruin the experience. These movies are a virus in & of themselves. They're horrible in every sense of the word.

3. Mortal Kombat: Annihilation

One of my personal last favorite movies of all time. I was a huge fan of the original Mortal Kombat movie. Of course I was excited to check out it's sequel. Then I quickly realized how terrible this movie is. I know by now so many people said a lot of the same things I am about to say. Too many characters in such a short amount of time. It is like getting a tease to only end up getting nothing or beaten up. Majority of the cast got replaced with none of them doing a good job at it. I mean come on the people you had in the previous movie nailed those same characters. Sonya & Raiden are probably the worst offenders it is so bad. The movie is loosely based on Mortal Kombat 3 with parts of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Probably not the best Mortal Kombat game to make a movie on. I highly recommend doing Mortal Kombat II since it does allow some more room for creativity. Most characters are horribly off from their video game counterparts especially Noob Saibot. Everything about Noob in this movie is flat out wrong. The way the story plays out makes things more repetitive than it should be. I could go on & on about this movie. It is hilariously bad that's never worth seeing a second or third time.

2. House of the Dead

Up til very recently this would've been my number 1 choice. House of the Dead is really bad in every sense of the word. They do a horrible job trying to make it more like the games. No I don't want to see that in a video game movie. What I want to see in one is them recreating some of my favorite things from those games to bring it to the big screens. Of course Uwe Boll was directing this abomination. Everything from start to finish is really not worth watching. Even more pissing off they don't play it out at all like The House of the Dead series. They didn't even try to make it feel like a game movie. Surprisingly some Sega employees has cameos that are short lived. The antagonist isn't like anything villain from the series not even from The House of the Dead: Overkill. You can clearly tell how poorly edited this movie actually is. Thankfully it's sequel is a little better but I don't recommend that one either. This movie is a major insult to not only fans of this series but to Sega as well. Sadly this was Uwe Boll's first video game movie. Good news Boll officially retired from movie making. Thank god the world really doesn't need to witness his horrible point of views on our favorite games.

1. Tekken: Kazuya's Revenge

WOW the first live action Tekken movie was bad but better than majority of this list. Tekken: Kazuya's Revenge is a prequel to that movie. Already that should open some red flags. It gets worse as the movie goes on. Kazuya was placed in a group without any memory of who he is. All fighting scenes aren't even close to Tekken standards. All major twists are horribly done with one in particular ruining the entire movie. You would expect Kazuya to fight his father Heihachi. Guess what nope that never ends making it unfaithful to the games. The director of those games already doesn't like their previous Tekken movie. Everything in every sense of the world is really bad. There is no good moments anywhere in this movie. I would go on but what's the point this isn't a true Tekken movie.
