The announcement trailer alone was done amazingly well. Then again Nightdive usually does great trailers for their remastered games. I can tell just by the game play it's going to be better quality. I never seen Blood play this great before!!! Not only we're getting all the episodes including both expansions.
They also adding in two mod campaigns. Both broken up into a few episodes. Essentially each episode being their own related campaigns. I may never confirmed that before it just kept slipping my mind. Marrow with Episode 2 currently in development.
Death Wish with three episodes with a fourth on the way. By default we're getting twelve campaigns worth of madness!!! I'm actually happy these mod campaigns gotten in. They also including mod support like some of their newer remasters. What blew my mind is this newer version coming to consoles.
Blood never been on consoles before. The same also could be said for Heretic. Which finally happened through Heretic + Hexen. Such an amazing remaster that was. Blood is like Duke 3D but more horror movie inspired fantasy direction. Imagine Doom but somehow darker that's Blood in a nut shell.
I always was a huge fan of the soundtrack. I know one of these mod campaigns has their own soundtracks as well. This being redone on a newer version of KEX Engine. The same version for their newer remastered games. I can't wait to play co-op in this version of Blood soon.
This should be set up similar to some of those. Honestly, this had more going for it than Gears of War: Reloaded. There's several major differences right off the bat. Also people been demanding for it to get on consoles. Let's be honest, it was truly mind blow it took this long to make that happen.
Blood was a truly amazing FPS game. You had such rememberable animations. Such a good lineup of enemies you're facing. Plenty of great weapons to use during game play. A lot of great levels you wanna keep on replaying. To me, Blood was the greatest FPS game on Build engine.
I know some would've said Duke Nukem 3D. Sure that's among the best of them without question. Personally I prefer Blood's expansions more. Somehow I liked Caleb more than Duke Nukem. Blood is easily among my favorite Doom clones. It does enough to differ itself from that series.
I would love to get this newer version of Blood this year. I would drop everything gaming wise to play it. This also may renew interest for Blood 2: The Chosen to get the same treatment. More directly games like this needed to come back. Blood is a game I'm surprise not many people played.
This game going to explode harder than ever before this year. Nightdive renewing interest for many classics to begin with. I didn't think Blood would get a second remastered version. Supposedly it had something to do with Atari. Regardless, I'm thankful they're giving Blood another shot.
This version going to truly pack in the content. I wanna see the additional content you can look up. It might not be as interesting as Killing Time: Resurrected. In that department, it still be worth taking a look. I do think the world finally ready for this!!!
They are truly going the distance with Blood this time. If this is like how Doom 1 & 2 kept getting better, newer versions. This should follow suit as well. Blood quickly become a favorite to a lot of people following this release. If I can't get the game this year.
I'll still try to get more people interested in giving the game a try. At least that's also directly supporting Nightdive's efforts. I do see a huge point to revisit Blood once again. It was originally among their first remasters. Before a lot of cool stuff since then gotten added in other remastered games.
I strongly felt Blood deserves the same treatment as those. It's a great FPS game that's been under the radar for far too long!!! Blood about to change the world!!! Just looking at some of their remasters. I guess I should've seen this coming. I personally wanna thank Nightdive for doing Blood again.
It truly meant a lot to me. I'm already happy with some of their remasters. If I had to confirm my top favorites from what I played. Quake II, Killing Time: Resurrected, Doom + Doom II and Heretic + Hexen respectively. All of those were truly fantastic remastered versions.
Now knowing this version of Blood going to be similar to those. My hype for this newer version of Blood went through the roof!!! They are going to make this a version no one ever going to forget in a good way. Blood is truly the stuff of legends for those that never played it before.
