Jack Red reviews War of the Monsters

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I used to own a lot of PlayStation 2 games. One of my favorite gems within my collection was War of the Monsters. Which you also can play after buying on PlayStation 4. It also in a bundle with Twisted Metal: Black and Kinetica for double the price. War of the Monsters despite it's similar with Godzila games and King of the Monsters series has no relations.

War of the Monsters is a rather unusual fighting game. Not like King of the Monsters playing more like a wrestling game then the follow up became a beat em up. Although some of it's ports maintains being a fighting game instead. No this took more influence from the 50s & 60s science fiction films. Yes there's some homage to Kaiju films of Japan.

One of my favorite easter eggs of any game is if you beaten Sweet Tooth's story in Twisted Metal: Black with it saved. The hidden fourth costume of Agamo is actually Mecha Sweet Tooth. I actually asked Dave Jaffe through his blog many years ago why this never got a sequel. He stated it just didn't sell enough.

I felt this game is a worthy rival to some of the newer Godzilla fighting games of the time. Most endings of the monsters is actually telling the origin. Very few of the endings do the purpose you expect it to. There's two hidden monsters that play differently from most of the roster. Yes you can face both of them in story mode.

Speaking of story mode there's a lot of fights with three crazy boss fights. Sadly you didn't play as any of the bosses. OMG the final boss is so tough to bring down since he has several phrases. The audio department is a solid master piece with amazing sound effects. War of the Monsters has a great variety of levels.

I also like you could do coop during the story mode. There's a couple colors for every monsters. You can't change Mecha Sweet Tooth but he does often laugh during the game play. Also he looks the most bad ass of the monsters. The levels themselves do variety in size but some have surprises you can easily miss.

This game predates Godzilla appearing on the console. I also like you can play it similar to Rampage series. Which is more fun than doing the same thing in King of the Monsters. I also like each monsters plays more differently from each other to spice up the game play. I hate to say it a lot of people have forgotten about this game.

War of the Monsters also seems to have more lively locations than King of the Monsters. I also like you can search for parts of buildings you can use as weapons. Some of the best weapons are well hidden that can be game changers. The boss fights can be a little too repetitive for some people's taste.

Let me explain, the second boss is a giant mutant plant. There are a few breaks that involves dealing with a multiple regular enemies. But this creature can easily get in cheap shots. If you make it far enough when you lose. Instead of completely restarting the fight, he will be almost defeated. The first boss after you learn the pattern ends up being surprisingly easy.

Although if you do attack at the wrong time you will lose a lot of health fast. The final boss is the leader of the alien using an unusual UFO infused machine. This guy has the most phrases out of all the bosses. It also took me the longest to defeat him taking me sometimes hours to do so. Sometimes I end up having rage quits yes I have those too thank you.

Overall War of the Monsters is a great fighting game with a lot of variety. I felt the best possible experience is playing against another player. Although attempting a coop run is also a lot of fun too. This game held it's own against Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee on GameCube & I believe another Godzilla game on Xbox.

Jack Red reviews Rampage series

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, along with Mortal Kombat series there was another Midway franchise I love. Obviously Warner Brothers owns their games now but sadly haven't done much with Rampage. I only got to play four Rampage games only missing the time travel entry. I could break the rules to do a quick review based on my experience on an emulator playing it but I simply refuse.

Also I still haven't seen the movie. But I heard a lot of great things about it. I am starting to see a theme. If you expect popular games to get good movies to only end up with bad ones. But take a forgotten classics out of no where it gets a good movie. Now isn't that confusing or what lol.

1. Rampage

The original Rampage is a classic arcade game that's ported to many consoles. I got to play it through Midway Arcade Treasures 1 & Rampage: Total Destruction. The original version doesn't have a real end. Yes a common theme many 80s arcade games had. You play as George, Lizzie or Ralph to destroy cities.

Now that sounds simple enough but many things are trying to kill you. Thankfully you can play with two people. The sound design is alright at best. There isn't a lot of changes in the levels themselves. I am not going to lie it can fun for a little while. Then it could suddenly become boring to you. For me I can get up to almost eighty levels before that happens.

Rampage in some of it's ports was given an ending. In fact in Atari Lynx port, they added a fourth monster named Larry a giant mouse. There is no bosses anywhere in the entire game. There's also no mini games of any kind or a method to alter the level selection. I would say it is a fun game but it will take really wanting to technically beating the game.

Trust me it took me hours to get up to the highest numbered level before it resets to level 1. Honestly I like the concept of being giant monsters destroying cities. A concept done better than some Godzilla games that followed. I would say it's in the middle of the pack. I can only recommend it to fellow Rampage fans.

2. Rampage World Tour

There's exactly no hiding it, Rampage World Tour is hands down the best Rampage game. There's a long gap between the classic Rampage & this. At first you would think this is going to be horrible. Then wow this actually ends up being a great updated version. Despite the title as well as adding more cities in the world to destroy.

Yeah I should mention in the original Rampage you only destroy cities in the United States. This game really does take you around the world. How many games can you honestly say delivers on that? Rampage World Tour does have mini games even if you are playing alone. It will add competitive ones for players to face each other.

Thank god they made more of a effort to differ every single city. You also can at randomly find this icon that can alter where you are going now. Eventually no matter how often the path changes every single level has to be played. There's a hidden fourth monsters you can temporary play as named V. E. R. N. that flies around.

He also can instantly destroy small building while taking out a single floor of a building in one hit. He ends up being the best monster of the game. Now officially I owned this on N64 being the only port in the 90s to maintain the three players. I also got to play the arcade version through Midway Arcade Treasures & Rampage: Total Destruction.

This game is very addicting to play for what it brings to the table. Sure it technically isn't a master piece like so many games are regarded as. But for an updated version that came a long time after the original version being this good I'm impressed. Rampage World Tour is truly an unique experience more people need to play.

3. Rampage 2: Universal Tour

Believe it or not, Rampage World Tour got a sequel called Rampage 2: Universal Tour. This was released on a few platforms since it wasn't originally an arcade game. The roster adds four more monsters with one having three variations with their own names. Yeah kinda weird considering it's the giant alien monster.

We get a new giant mouse character named Curtis. It only has been a few years since Rampage on Atari Lynx port we had a giant mouse terrorizing people. I would have to say the best two monsters are Boris and whatever name you want for the alien. I also say that because the game will only let you through using codes to have only one alien at a time.

There is a way for two players having two different versions of the alien characters in game. Sadly there's no possible way to have all three in one place. I do like the details to some of the cities this time around. There isn't a lot of levels involving space. Considering Rare made Blast Corps that also attempts a similar concept as hidden levels on Nintendo 64.

I felt that nailed being in the universe much more. Even if it is a vehicular destruction game. Rampage 2: Universal Tour is still a good sequel. Unfortunately beyond this entry the franchise starts to get worse. This game does have some great elements to keep it refreshing for awhile. Sure it won't be a home run like the previous entry but it's miles better than what followed afterwards.

4. Rampage: Total Destruction

OMG how did they screw up Rampage so frickin bad? I only have one positive thing to say about it. As stated earlier on, the first two Rampage games are also playable. In the Wii version, there's more levels & monsters added. Sadly none of that helps the game in fact it further drowns the legacy. They attempted what felt like an incomplete 3D experience that comes more awkward.

I quickly got confused if I was doing any real damage to just one building. Oh yeah you know it's bad when something as simple as damaging a building isn't exactly clear. The levels play more like rounds than how the other Rampage games does it. This by itself replaces breaks for in between the levels further taking away from the experience.

Let's be honest, Rampage always done well with a small roster. But wow why is there so many monsters in this one I'll never know. Also a lot of them are too similar to other monsters. This could affect coop game play since some monsters are very similar in how they play. When this happens in a fighting game it quickly takes away from playing it.

But considering it happened in this game, I felt more like they just wanted an excuse to have more monsters. I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up rushing the game out. Even the controls are a total mess. For something that usually relies on getting the controls simple & easy to memorize. They sure didn't do a great job at using the Wii remote & nunchuck.

I felt like I needed to tie my shoes than actually playing an Rampage game. There's not enough variety in every possible category. This game would've been a lot better with more work done on the controls with a much smaller roster of monsters. I loss interest in record time playing this abomination.

Jack Red reviews Metal Slug 1-3

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I knew about Metal Slug series for a long time. I probably known about Contra much longer. I always wondered how fun are those games. When I saw a sale at GOG I figured why not go for all Metal Slug games they had. I also ended up getting King of the Monsters which is getting it's own review.

1. Metal Slug

Metal Slug is such an addicting run & gun game. Do I even need to say it's action packed like no tomorrow. If you love explosions, ridiculous amount of enemies & crazy power ups. Then you will be at home with this game. You can save the POWS for power ups. There isn't much variety in vehicles but what you get works.

You get some crazy, intense boss fights. Trust me you will die a lot trying to get use to it. Thankfully there is infinite continues but you do have the option to limit them. Of course there's two player coop for more fun. Yes just like Contra, it is one hit deaths but you do get additional hits in vehicles. There's a good variety of everything.

I absolutely love the music of this game. The sound effects is what really made this such an enjoyable experience. It fits in perfectly that's difficult to do for a run & gun game. Metal Slug has two characters but you can easily tell them apart. I also like I have multiple ways of playing this either with my controller or keyboard.

2. Metal Slug 2

Metal Slug 2 is a good game but there's a few things that doesn't make it as enjoyable. For starters it can be tricky to notice among first playing it. There's some notable lack during the game play. Some of my favorite levels are present in this game. This game adds two playable female characters. This entry introduces some character transformations as in game jokes.

For example you can become a zombie, mummy or over time eating food getting fatter. Which all of them do greatly affect the game play in their own right. I really like they recreated one of my favorite death scenes in any movie. In Independence Day, Russell Casse rams his plane into the part of the spaceship that fires beams.

I honestly was very surprised seeing this cut scene the first time. Oh yeah late in the game you fight against aliens. Shortly afterwards the army you been fighting against helps you during the final boss fight. I would say in some ways it's better than the original but it sorta leaves you kinda wanting more too.

3. Metal Slug X

I am not going to say much since Metal Slug X is the updated version of Metal Slug 2. SNK heard the complaints of Metal Slug 2 to quickly go back to the drawing board creating this master piece. I am not even going to hide this is my favorite Metal Slug game. A lot of clever changes made the experience a lot better.

I would even say this is the best SNK game I played in my entire life I'm not kidding. In fact one night I played through it around three straight times with little to no breaks. Metal Slug X is truly an amazing game that went beyond it's original goal. We have what could be one of the best alternate versions of video games.

Trust me if you want a solid Metal Slug experience. You really need to go play some Metal Slug X. This game really does make up for Metal Slug 2 as well as topping the original much more. Honestly it really is a very solid game of it's genre that I highly recommend to people. I should mention parts of levels are altered with very few being colored differently.

4. Metal Slug 3

Metal Slug 3 comes up gun blazing with multiple paths. I felt this did a great job using multiple paths since it does sometimes alter which boss you could be facing. Some of my favorite vehicles are in this game. The final level is simply too much in many areas. I do like the jokes they attempted. But it went like multiple levels are put together to keep the game going.

I am not saying it ruins the experience it just starts killing your mood by that point. Metal Slug 3 has a new POW you can save. Would you ever guess you get to save the president? There's some crazy boss fights in this game too. Trust me when I say attempting to go through in one life is much harder due to how long the final level ends up being.

Despite that, Metal Slug 3 is notably better than Metal Slug 2 while being slightly better in some ways to the original. There's a great variety of locations to keep the game fresh. This also has the most achievements out of these games on Steam & GOG. Metal Slug 3 does many things right especially in the audio department.

Jack Red reviews King of the Monsters

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I grew up with King of the Monsters on Sega Genesis. Which shouldn't be confused with Godzilla games of the time. Many years later, I got to play the Neo Geo version on my computer. As a kid I struggle to win just one match. I wasn't as well verse in fighting games as I am right now.

King of the Monsters originally had six monsters while two of them with two levels got removed in some ports. I am aware about the sequel but I haven't got to play it. In fact the closest thing I played to this was War of the Monsters. Your goal is defeat all six monsters twice. Why it's done this way is a complete mystery.

Despite it's appearance King of the Monsters actually plays more like a wrestling games. Back in my child hood up to my early teen years I had wrestling games. So at the time I felt at home with it. Obviously they are referencing Godzilla, King Kong and a few more giant monsters. I do like you could destroy as much of the city you want.

If you ever wanted to try getting pass the far left or right side that requires pure luck. But automatically forces you back where you belong. This is a button masher you will likely have sore hands even before you're done playing. The endings are very similar where the news covers each monster winning to be quickly followed with their building collapsing.

Sometimes doing moves gives you a chance to power up that meter. You can transform any monsters during several stages up to two times. Despite some stats changes the most notable change is your monsters being completely recolored. I do like the fact this is an early fighting game with transformations.

King of the Monsters is a game never meant to take seriously. But it can quickly piss you right off if you let it. Thankfully in this Neo Geo port I have infinite continues. This by itself makes losing repeatedly not so bad. I also like you don't have to start over a match like most fighting games. In some of their defense, that's probably a great thing in itself.

I should mention when you face each monster the order is different for every character. But the next encounter happens on a different level. This is sorta like the final fight in Primal Rage where you face all the monsters again. Except it's all of them in one long match. Thankfully you don't have to kill yourself trying.

After everything I just have one real issue with this port. I don't know if it's my computer or something within the game's files. When I do save states they do work fine while I'm still playing. But sadly it doesn't work right when I turn the game back on. My controls are mostly locked preventing me from doing anything.

I will say this is a fun fighting game. Sure it might get old fast to some people. I so happen to also enjoy some of the Rampage games. Which I could review in the near future soon. King of the Monsters works as best it could. I felt one small change could've ruined what they had. I am not saying it's the best fighting game because it isn't.

Jack Red reviews Disney's Aladdin & Disney's The Lion King

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I did take breaks while playing Lego Pirates of the Caribbean. Some of my time went towards both Disney's Aladdin & Disney's The Lion King. Although they are DOS port of 16-bit games. They aren't porting from the same console. To be honest I don't recall ever being around either game as a kid.

Yes I did own some Disney games like Castle of Illusion & Ariel the Little Mermaid on Sega Genesis. Don't laugh anyway Disney's Aladdin is based on Sega Genesis version. It's still a big debate among gamers which is better Sega Genesis or SNES version of Aladdin. Personally I prefer Genesis version since Aladdin has a sword with the animation being closer to the actual movie.

Disney's The Lion King is based on SNES version. Obviously the colors were different but what gave it away of being ported from SNES version was Simba's picture. Yes something as small as that made it more clear which version the DOS port was based on. I should point out both 16-bit Aladdin games are made by different teams while the same team made both versions for The Lion King.

At a later date I will be reviewing Sam & Max Hit the Road. Hopefully with all of it's sequels at that point. Back to this, I got to be honest I got two strong opinions on both games. I am aware many people won't like or respect it. Well that's fine as long you don't act like a baby then do whatever you want.

1. Disney's Aladdin

This is a faithful port of the Sega Genesis game. I can use my controller perfectly nailing some tricky jumps. There's some great levels even those with tedious portions. This looks better for a DOS port still capturing what many people of my era loved about this classic. You can get attacked before you even get the chance to strike.

Some levels are strict about platforming mostly later in the game. OMG the flying carpet level is so intense. It was going so fast I was about to lose control I'm not kidding. Imagine the turbo tunnel part of Battletoads on NES. Now imagine a few confusing instructions with nearly blinding speeds. It took me a long time to finish the level.

Thankfully near the beginning it kept respawning an extra life. I would say the difficulty is the better balanced out of these two Disney games. In one night from the start up to Inside the Lamp level. Yeah I was so close finishing the game. Sadly I couldn't get any codes to work in this version. There is no in game method of saving your process.

I heard by altering a few things within the files you could be able to save your process. But I'm not going to risk doing that. Disney's Aladdin does follow the actual movie very well. Even the bonus levels with the monkey are still present. Some levels will take awhile to memorize including a dungeon level.

I would say for a Disney game they did an amazing job. I would even say this is one of the best DOS ports I ever played. This game is so fun playing since it makes some clever changes to keep the game play interesting. Not only it feels like I'm in the movie, it also feels like a true Disney classic at it's finest.

2. Disney's The Lion King

The Lion King is still among the most popular 90s Disney movies. You play as kid & adult Simba to stop your uncle Scar. Just like Disney's Aladdin, this does a great job following the movie. Just looking at it or even listening the music you will feel at home. Sadly the developers aren't sure how to exactly go about the game.

Usually when people hear this it's a bad thing. But this is still a good game just not great like Disney's Aladdin. There's a puzzle at the end of level 2 that I still can't get pass. I looked at guides & watched people through videos. What I am trying to say is the difficulty isn't balanced. Yes the first level is easy like you would expect.

Trust me both parts with the ostrich in level 2 can be frustrating. Just messing up once takes you back to either the beginning of the level or a check point. Disney's Aladdin does have more check points. The Lion King does have great platforming for the most part. Due to being ported from SNES version, jumping on tails is more difficult than Genesis version.

To be honest I got the codes do work, I got to experience the rest of the game. OMG the running towards the screen level is a nightmare. You got little room of error to not get hit by the animals running towards you. Very few spots like the main screen aren't great. By the way the picture you get as a bonus is of that trust me I wish it came out a little better.

I kept losing to Scar in the final level not understand how to attack him. When I do try I likely got attacked in a way he would kill you very quickly. They did put a lot of great details within the levels. The controls changes slightly with adult Simba. I think the game ends up being a little harder but in some ways more playable if that makes any sense.

Look I don't want to crap on this game. I just had a difficult time over looking major issues. The stuff they done right is very good. I wish I could play it a little better. When I was playing Disney's Aladdin I felt when I died it was my fault sadly I don't feel the same here. In some parts it felt more like a chore than me actually having fun.

To clarify I'm not calling this a bad game or port by any means. I would definitively say it's a great port of the SNES version. But compared to Disney's Aladdin, it isn't even close which I prefer. This game is a mess in terms of it's difficulty. Even it's developers stated they didn't have they suppose go about the puzzles and some of the mechanics.

Overall I would say you should experience both of these games on GOG or Steam. Trust me you should have fun with both of them. I put my money more on Disney's Aladdin for being more simple and better level designs.

Jack Red reviews Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, you might be surprise to know I have played a couple of Lego video games. There's a couple I would like to play in the near future. A month ago, I bought a few Disney games on GOG. If you want to see what I got during their Disney sale go to this following link.

https://jackred1989.blogspot.com/2018/10/gogs-disney-week-purchases.html

I really wanted to talk about Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game. WOW this game was much better than I was expecting. I know a lot of people tend to think despite a few changes their virtually the same game. No they aren't because in super hero/super villains you get a variety of powers.

In Lego Harry Potter games you get to use more direct usage of magic. Even characters without powers does serve a purpose. I felt this ongoing criticism is partly misguided. Yes a lot of them are very similar in a lot of ways. At the same time they are their own thing based on a particular franchise.

Lego Pirates of the Caribbean is similar to some movie licensed Lego games. In terns of they based a handful of levels on the first four Pirates of the Caribbean movies. By playing story mode you have to use whatever characters you have in those levels. You could get help at several points to making it a bit easier.

Of course the real fun begins with free mode. You don't use up legos being killed or fall offscreen. The real bonus is you can use any characters you have unlocked. Which means you can be anyone among the roster in every level. Let's be honest there's several portions of most levels you simply can't do in story mode.

By doing free mode you can get to fully explore every level in the entire game. They did an amazing job recreating all four movies while making it their own. I should mention a lot of characters do appear randomly on the hub. Both tribal characters appears on the beach in front of where you summon in the hub.

You got to make sure you have enough among defeating some of them to unlock those characters. Otherwise you have to try again when you have enough legos. There's technically twenty levels with one bonus level among nearly getting 100% completion. You do end up beating the game several times in story mode.

I do need to bring up during free mode as long you remember to hit save & exit your process will be saved. Trust me it is a lot of work to get up to an 100% completion in this game. Like many Lego games, yes there's several versions of some characters. The only way to unlock dancing Jack is by entering a code.

There's a lot of variety within the levels themselves to keep bringing you back. Obviously a few major changes occurs but it really doesn't ruin the plot. You can buy red cheat hats that enables several codes in game. Such as increasing the amount of legos by one or more multipliers. Trust me close to the highest possible multiplier just starting a level you didn't get true pirate in.

Within few minutes you will get that rank I'm not kidding. Some minikits do require viewing from different angles. Some of them won't make sense at first but eventually you will get it. A huge part of completing the game's percentage is finding things with Jack's compass. Yes it does count finding some stuff without it.

This process can be tedious & sometimes annoying depending on several things. You often put yourself in danger unable to jump. Also if you aren't using Cursed Jack or anyone among Davy Jones' crew. When you go into the water you instantly stop using the compass. There's plenty of great characters to play as.

I got to be honest about a few key things. In Lego Batman series, there's plenty of characters doing what some can do. For example there's characters that can destroy silver lego things. I felt it was very limited in who you can use for many things. But you should quickly know which characters to choose.

The levels themselves are well designed that can be speed run with the right strategy. You will quickly get use to how things works in this game. Even if you don't for several hours, you will get better. I should mention some obstacles can quickly destroy your characters. Thankfully most of them are very simple to deal with.

I would say one of the most annoying are four particular active canons. It took me awhile to figure out how to destroy them. Guess what all you need to do is get four skulls then stuff them in each cannon. This also will get you a minikit you are welcome. There's just so much to see even in the hub portion.

Everything else is done just right. Honestly it felt like I was reliving each movie featured in this game. Including the later two which I wasn't a fan of. Although the levels based on them are much better in comparison. There is some game play variety that's more notable in free mode. I do enjoy the moving between vehicles portion.

Only Blackbeard can do something to red & black lego things. Very few of them you would likely not even notice are Blackbeard's. Most boss fights are simple with the Krakken being one of the trickiest. The bonus level is actually based on Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Despite finding stuff with Jack's compass or a lot of legos you can collect.

By this point the only way to get the final eighty fifth gold brick is finishing the level. There's three bosses from Barbossa, Davy Jones and Blackbeard. Yes all three of the main antagonists in one level. They end up being much easier than their respective boss fights prior. Sure there's a few small issues I have with the game including crashing.

I been through several crashes during my 100% completion run. Although it wasn't terrible I quickly got back up to where I was. They did an great job recreating Pirates of the Caribbean. Especially if it got me to finally enjoy the third & forth movies. Now that by itself is a huge achievement. I would say it is one of my favorite among Lego games as well as my Disney purchase.

GOG's Trick or Treat Sale purchase

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I almost went towards Steam for Pac-Man games. But I simply couldn't pass up a great Halloween sale. Also I used half my birthday money. On my birthday in a few weeks I get to use the other half. There is one particular feeling I couldn't shake off for years. Despite a lot of horror games I played.

I barely played any with vampires, I always been a huge fan of them since my child hood. I wanted to make sure to get as many games with vampires as possible. Of course I also wanted a great variety in game play as well as monsters. Hell some of these games have surprisingly difficult to watch death scenes.

This is the single biggest GOG order I have officially done. I knew the moment I found out about this sale I really wanted to shock up on horror games. There are a few honorable mentions that I do plan on getting later such as Carmageddon 1 and 2. Don't worry there's a chance I may use what's left of my birthday money on them or Steam or Xbox One.

Warning some of these games can be a little too much for those with a weak stomach or gets too scared easily. Remember there's no shame in not wanting to play these. But it could help a little bit in the long run. Otherwise please enjoy seeing what I gotten in my huge Halloween order.

1. Postal 2 with Paradise Lost (2003)

I won't say much on this since I already done a full review including most of the expansions. This is one of the most possibly offensive over the top games I have ever played. Just when you thought you seen everything you probably didn't try this. Postal 2 is not for everyone but to the right people it's plenty to keep playing for hours.

2. Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption (2000)

A friend of mine a long time ago introduced me to Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption. A hack & slack RPG horror game. You dive more into the dark world of vampires as well as other creatures. This game has a strong cult following. I usually see this in a lot of best vampire games lists. Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption should be in your collection.

3. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (2004)

I went many years not knowing about a sequel. In fact it's been a few years since I first found out about it. Sadly a lot of problems occur during it's development. They changed the teams to suddenly being forced to release an incomplete game. Just like Blood II, there's a lot of people making mods to help fix the game.

4. Dracula Trilogy (3 games) (1999, 2000 & 2008)

I am only based this on what I saw online. This series is sorta it's own continuation of the classic Bram Stoker's Dracula novel. On GOG you can score the first three in one deal.

5. Dracula 4+5 (2 games) (2013)

The two current Dracula games of that franchise. I don't even need to mention the big time gap or the serious change in art styles. I am very new to this series so I can't really say much but Dracula is a personal favorite of mine.

6. The 7th Guest (1993)

I knew about this game for a long time. Remember back in the 90s when many companies attempted FMV with actual people appearing in video games? Trust me this isn't the only one in my purchase. This is more or less about a mystery about possible murders.

7. The 11th Hour (1995)

Believe it or not, The 7th Guest got a sequel called The 11th Hour. Sadly since The 7th Guest 3 got canceled that was going to be funded by kick starter from many people. This is the final game of the franchise. I really can't say much since my information on it is a bit limited.

8. NecroVisioN (2009)

Are you sick of all those WW2 games don't worry because the supernatural comes to WW1 instead. I never played a game taking place on World War 1 before. Considering by it's description it has zombies, vampires & demons. So in a weird way this could be a Wolfenstein clone but it may be more than that.

9. NecroVisioN: Lost Company (2010)

Despite sharing the cover on some services this is actually a prequel that came a year later. I hope it plays well like Spear of Destiny did for Wolfenstein 3D.

10. Clive Barker's Undying (2001)

Hard to believe the famous horror author Clive Barker was involved in a horror FPS game. But it's very true he helped as much as he could. This is similar to games like BioShock series since you can fire guns & use powers. Except here it allows you to fire your guns & magic at the same time.

11. Personal Nightmare (1989)

Elvira was a big name back in the day. Still one of the most talked about horror TV shows ever. She appears on the logo as well in a few scenes. The game actually centers around the devil taking over the world in a few days. It is your goal to stop him or the world will be forever doomed or should I say damned.

12. Harvester (1996)

Probably one of the most mess up games in any of my collections. Harvester is a strange point & click game that does use digitized actors. This game is widely known for one of the greatest game over screens in history.

13. Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi (2003)

Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi is one of those every time you start the game. It randomly moves important stuff around. Your goal is to rescue people as well as kill a particular vampire. This so happens to be another FPS god I can't get enough of those lol.

14. Waxworks (1992)

Not to be confused by the movie of the same name. This is one of those different time periods games. Which means you have to relearn things several times during a run. OMG some of these death scenes are horrifying.

15. Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (2001)

Ever since I bought Alone in the Dark Trilogy, I wanted to get this game. Trust me I kept my eye on it for several years now. I kept hearing it's similar to classic Resident Evil games. Although the original trilogy did likely inspire several times for the original Resident Evil game. This was the first multi platform title.

16. I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream (1995)

This is based on the book of the same name. If I'm not mistaken this is suppose to be a mental screw games. You know the ones that literately screws with you often. I recently learned of this game as of a few days ago.

17. Zombie Night Terror with Special Edition Upgrade (2016)
The most recent game in this huge purchase. Zombie Night Terror is best described as zombie Lemmings. Unlike most zombie games, where you play as a survivor taking on people and hordes of zombies. You actually control the hordes of zombies to eating people.

You can gain new abilities to help spice things up. I should mention some cool features got added in for free like level editor and a new level set on the moon.

18. Call of Cthulhu: Shadow of the Comet (1993)

Inspired by those stories by H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Muthos. Some surprisingly death scenes to possibly scare people away. You have to figure the mystery centering Halley's Comet as well as a cult.

19. Call of Cthulhu: Prisoner of Ice (1995)

Despite being sold as a follow up, this is it's own stand alone game. A very different story from the previous entry centering more on the military. This one seems to have a mixed reception but still has a cult following.
