No, I'm Not a Human (2025) review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, today I will be reviewing a game. I previously found out about a while back. I'm very sure GrayStillPlays played a demo of today's game. I even voted for it a few times at The Horror Game Awards. Which does include Game of the Year award. I will be reviewing No, I'm Not a Human.

Just in case anyone was wondering. Along with Look Out, this was one the runner ups. Ultimately the award went to Silent Hill F. Personally from what I seen of all three horror games. Each one truly deserved it in their own right. Honestly, the entire game awards show was my favorite of the year. I absolutely was fine with all of it as a whole.

No, I'm Not a Human (2025)

Originally featured in Violent Horror Stories: Anthology. No, I'm Not a Human actually an extended version of that game. Very soon a new update adding a lot to the game on the way. You play as a man that's inside an house. Something wrong with the sun affecting many things. To make things worst Visitors are monsters that mimics humans attempting to get inside places.

It's sorta The Thing but the exact opposite temperatures. Not to mention, majority of the game taking place inside a house. Very often people will come knocking at your front door. This is a decision based horror game. You are constantly taking chances with each person that shows up. There's a huge variety of personalities represented.

There's a lot of endings with a new eleventh ending going to be added in. I know that's insane to think there's so many endings. Even with such a concept somehow works amazingly well. As the game goes on, more signs becomes available to look for. Some of these signs gets quite bizarre. Like bugs coming out of people's ears no really it's in the game!!!

You could easily play the game slow or fast pacing. The game does keep track of which endings you unlocked. At the time of this review, I unlocked eight endings. I honestly couldn't stop replaying it!!! RNG is a rather unique thing here. At random most characters that could show up. There's a few set placed characters depending on conditions for some of the endings.

A lot of characters can be either human or a visitor. It turns out some of them are always human while others always going to be visitors. After a good while you figure out which signs they failed to hide. You even get the option to take em out with a shotgun. Some actions like digging a hole, examining people or using the gun uses up energy.

Some actions or objects won't be available. Until something comes up confirming them. I know some people won't like that though. It means for an example, you can't dig a hole. Until this bald guy tells you too. I also believe you need to accept something from him as well. This also includes several phone numbers to a degree.

You also could accept bribing among trying to send people away. If you accept any of those, you're letting them in. I still think you can look outside the windows mostly at night. You can't during the day because of the sun's unnatural condition. Sometimes it's just as interesting what's going on outside your home.

Not many people you see from the windows knocks at your front door either. Thankfully this is a nice short length horror game. You got to memorize stuff to get to see the other endings. Don't be surprise people ends up dead in your home. You aren't sure who to truly trust heavily playing into paranoia. I gotta be honest this was a rather creative, unique horror experience.

I also loved the unique art design with the animations. Some of it's aspects being done in 2D with some beautifully done 3D designs thrown in. There's no full voice acting it kinda reminded me of Banjo-Kazooie series. Barely anything happens during the day unless you make em happen. The night is where the game truly shines best.

No, I'm Not a Human is a game that became very inspiring to me. The fact majority of the characters don't get named plays further into the theme. I also love how distant each person's appearance is from each other. I also liked some of the endings were more hidden than I realized. RNG plays a role in those as well.

Could you possibly imagine being in such an situation? I still haven't mentioned FEMA that acts in place of governments or at least the order bound. They act like the military in suits you usually see dealing with nuclear. There's plenty to go on about them as the game keeps on going. You even get a cult visit your house I'm dead serious!!!

I know to some people this horror game don't seem like much. They failed to see exactly what it is. This is a game heavily about making difficult decisions. RNG is more on the weird side of the experience. You often deal with people not fully sure. Whose your allies or enemies awaiting to take you out? This house gets so many crazy situations.

Yes you can save your process actually two methods I found. The first method is drinking this jar near by your bedroom. The other saving method is among exiting the game. You simply select quit the game while saving it. Although if your save reaches any ending. The save you made with the jar remains. You can call to order more of that with a few stuff.

This game really gets you thinking. From the beginning you'll feel uneasy right up to the end. To me that's a great sign of a horror game. A horror game that quickly makes you feel such raw emotions. I simply love everything about this game. I am quite hype to play the new update soon. This update going to add in twelve new characters adding more insanity to the mix.

Honestly, Trioskaz you absolutely nailed it!!! Of course, I gotta mention the mascot visitor himself. A few characters will often knock at your front door. He's among those characters that's rather unpleasant. One of the last major things he says. Confirms he's a right hand monster to that one creature. Personally he reminded me of Gotou from Parasyte.

Which would be a rather interesting connection. If that turned out to be true for those not familiar with Parasyte. The story involves an high school student that came close getting fully taken over by a parasitic alien. The duo takes on more of these aliens that's been killing humans. They easily could bend in with humans making them even more terrifying.

We never fully see that creature. If you are lucky enough among looking outside. One of the last few days you'll quickly see it move in the back. I personally felt never fully seeing it was a great idea. This would led to people coming up with ideas what it might look like. Thus creating further interest into the game.

This game knows exactly what it is. When this game goes dark it doesn't shy away. The fact you never feel safe for majority of the game was a great idea. This is a true horror master piece!!! I also liked there's no true time limit. Yes there's a limit of days you could play up to.

Most endings could happen prior to Day 14. Some of these endings were wow I can't believe. They're actually in the game I will try not to spoil much. I will say this though you may not believe what you may see. I do see ways you can be a little creative. You don't feel forced to play differently.

Which is a strong dislike I have towards some game genres. The controls are virtually perfection with the option to customize em. The audio especially the sound effects further sells this game!!! Keep in mind, this game costs fifteen bucks. I felt this is way better than more expensive horror games around.

I do felt bad for the little girl. You can drink beer to quickly go to bed. You would be amaze the insane amount of details this game has. I don't have many criticisms myself. It's more about figuring out when it's best to do some things. Otherwise you are doomed to get endings you don't want. You quickly get use to trivial and errors with that.

For example not having people in the house. When the mascot visitor askes then lie about that. This will trigger an ending to occur. After I figured out how to prevent that from happening. I kept getting another ending with the gun armed with a rifle. Then I found out which day I should dig. Just remembered the bald guy needs to talk about it first.

Just make sure you previously ordered two energy drinks. To dig an hole will take away energy. Even all of it among your first dig. These drinks will give you just enough. To keep digging a little more of a hole. You also could've check your armpits in the bathroom. You will get asked by the game if you wanna get clean up or not.

This would be a good way to avoid getting that ending. I also gotta mention this cat you get to see. A woman whose confirmed to always be an visitor came with a cat. You can order two cans of cat food to feed the cat. I don't think it serves much purpose. But it's still nice to see the cat enjoying the food.

Even the little things like this cat stands out in such a huge way. I wouldn't even be surprised people already considered the game iconic. It has such an unique style about everything. Honestly, it's a huge recommendation to play this game. Especially close to or on Halloween it's well worth the holiday.
