This is an non canon alternative version of the main game. Instead of exo suits, you can go to Capcom arcade machines. Which will transform you into many Capcom video game characters. Each one with their own move set. You can unlock two versions of every character by doing challenges. Some early missions alter due to these changes. This also makes the boss fights way more fight.
Speaking of boss fights, along with Capcom Heroes mode. We also get a free update to fix many problems to help improve the game. Most of these changes does appear in this mode. The biggest notable change is better boss fights. Originally you could get easily own or you can take them out too quickly.
Now you have to use your head if you want to survive. The other challenges you could do on the side is way more fun than those of the main game itself. Sometimes you will hear classic Capcom arcade music during some points of the game. It is more notable when the game is paused. They did reduce the leveling from 100 to 50. Unfortunately you can't pick what to upgrade.
Thankfully you level up very fast in fact much faster than the main game. Yes you can wear those costumes in the main game without their powers. They give you more interesting collectibles to find. To be honest it didn't take me long to find them all. I do enjoy all the Capcom video game posters. You can open up treasure chests, I don't even need to tell you where they got that from lol.
Capcom Heroes mode is very addicting. I could argue this is even better than Frank Rising. Considering Zombie Frank is in this version makes this even crazier. It won't take you long for getting use to playing this. I highly recommend if you are a fan of Dead Rising or Capcom in general. Please check out Capcom Heroes mode as soon as you can.
