My choices for the best compilation games

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, in recent times video games becoming more expensive. A major reason why I often go for compilation games. Honestly, I played some some truly amazing compilation games over the years. I'm going to quickly discuss the ones I'm giving the golden standard to.

I should point out some notable favorites may not be discussed. I do enjoy majority of the compilation games I played. It's quite rare when I don't enjoy em very much. Like Zombies Ate My Neighbors & Ghoul Patrol compilation. Majority of them holds up amazingly well with great surprises to help justify their prices to a degree.

Let's put it this way I could consider buying an compilation game around $70. Of course this would come with some rather strict conditions. I felt that would be more worth most newer games from bigger game companies. I'm not going to buy just one game for an $100 you nuts!!! Here we go I reveal the compilation games that meant so much to me.

I have a few rules for this as they follow down below...

1. No bundles or parts of an compilation games needs to be install separately

2. You have to been capable of playing through every game

3. Great surprises

4. Designed to work on most platforms and computers with ease

5. A solid lineup of games

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection

I know I talk about this TMNT compilation a lot here. In all honestly it's a very well made collection. Even the small stuff you could criticize doesn't matter. The fact the not as great TMNT games are made playable is a huge selling point. Hands down one of the absolute finest compilation games I ever played!!!

2. Castlevania Advance Collection & Castlevania Dominus Collection

I took some time thinking about it. Just wouldn't be right to exclude one of these amazing Castlevania compilation games. Both Castlevania Advance Collection and Castlevania Dominus Collection truly amazing stuff. Way better than Castlevania Anniversary Collection. You really can't go wrong with either Castlevania compilation game.

3. Capcom Fighting Collection

I might get criticize since I still haven't played Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics. Although it's safe to say that and Capcom Fighting Collection 2 earns a spot. Capcom has the right team doing these amazing fighting compilation games. You really couldn't ask for more than this!!!

4. Metal Slug Anthology

Despite having limited ways to go about playing it. Metal Slug Anthology is still among the best compilation games I ever played!!! Infinite continues with a very solid presentation. It virtually was ahead of the curve before compilation games became like this. I really can't even criticize it because the game simply that damn good!!!

5. Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition

You do play parts of this separately. But all of it installs together allowing me to include this. In my personal opinion the best version of Duke 3D ever!!! You're getting a lot of content more than the newer 20th Anniversary Edition. Mostly solid campaigns to keep you coming back for more.

6. Doom + Doom II

I am really impressed many companies including Nightdive Studios nailed Doom + Doom II so well. You are getting so much even if you just simply gotten the game free. Without the mods, plenty of Doom levels to play. I still never seen either Doom game play this damn good. Easily the greatest Doom game I ever played!!!

7. The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series

I confessed I haven't actually play the versions of these Walking Dead games in the compilation. I have played them plenty of times including the previous compilation game. You're getting all of those games plus some rather cool behind the scenes stuff. The only real complaint I have is they only kept completing episodes achievements/trophies.

8. The Angry Video Nerd 1 & 2 Deluxe

It's no secret easily one of my favorite compilation games ever!!! I'm a huge AVGN fan, this game really felt like the web show. The changes to both AVGN games ultimately made it way better as well as even funnier. I actually enjoyed the newer levels as well. This is a very fun, challenging licensed game I highly recommend.

9. Quake II (2023 version)

This is still among my favorite Nightdive games ever!!! Quake II virtually has a lot of campaigns. All the expansions plus a new one. They even included Quake II N64 campaign. All of that along with multiplayer is pretty insane. Like Doom + Doom II, you also can get this free making this even better!!!
