I never seen an Halloween game event this milked!!! It goes beyond ridiculousness in ways some can't proper process their brains!!! As much I would love a bit of everything to represent Halloween. I already looked up every newer franchise added through this Halloween event. There's twelve new franchises added to the game alone!!!

2. A Nightmare on Elm Street
3. Black Clover
4. Hollow Knight (not a player skin)
5. Halloween Horror Nights
6. 99 Nights in the Forest (Roblox)
7. Hazbin Hotel
8. The Purge
9. Obsession
10. Slender Man
11. Beetlejuice
12. Predator: Badlands
I think the lineup should've spoke on itself. But I'm not sure how many people see how I view it? A lot of these franchises had little to nothing added with an handful had more overall content. Two of them added in bosses you could face during matches. The fewer amount franchises just felt like that's all you need. But come on Beetlejuice deserves way more respect than that!!!
Obsession I may be happy for it's success. I know some won't like saying this is starting to come off as overrated. Predator: Badlands isn't even a horror movie I still haven't seen it. I was even surprised Black Clover being the solo anime franchise represented in the Halloween event. For me, it's weird seeing the main three using guns!!!
Even stranger they actually allowed an indie game franchise created from Roblox!!! Which already questionable because sick adults going after children situation Roblox has!!! They went for Hazbin Hotel yet not include Helluva Boss? Now anyone that seen the show Helluva Boss would agree. Those characters would fit in better than those from Hazbin Hotel.
Those imps from Hell are out of their minds!!! For me, it felt like they needed something no one would expect. But an handful of these franchises actually nailed that!!! Hollow Knight as a companion now in the game!!! This is still quite weird because the character in a famous metroidvania game. Hollow Knight should've had more customization.
It felt like the character was forced on the side lines. It was a little surprising Halloween Horror Nights showed up. For those not familiar what that is? It's an Halloween event representing many horror franchises. Obviously this helped tied a lot of these franchises together. I still felt they could've went bigger with it!!!
The Purge had one particular outfit that didn't really stand out. Not because it wasn't designed well either. There was simply too many newer franchises added during this Halloween event. The one constant leaks I kept seeing were about Five Nights at Freddy's. Yes they also crossed over into the game.
Actually had the most overall content for the Halloween event. They wanted younger gamers to play in the Halloween event. I mean why else go for such an franchise that doesn't even work for this? I felt Dead by Daylight done a little better in comparison. An handful of those characters were also added in as bosses.
I still haven't gotten to two particular franchises I'm really surprised they gotten!!! A Nightmare on Elm Street yes it's the classic Freddy. Also yes Robert Englund reprised the role for this crossover. WOW Dead by Daylight, Fortnite beat you guys getting the version of the character we all wanted!!! Let's got a step further there's a particular internet horror icon everyone wants in DbD.
Surprisingly actually showed up in Fortnite!!! A character that had little to 5% chances of showing up. I am talking about Slender Man!!! Yes this thing also added for the Halloween event!!! I already confused by so many crossovers they done over the years!!! Slender Man was among the last characters even for an Halloween event I expected to show up!!!
His creator is rather selective about how people use the character. We do know The Operator whose an alternative version of the creature, Dead by Daylight passed on. Let's be more direct, none of this actually makes sense!!! I felt doing an handful of franchises could've helped balanced things. It also could've helped with the confusion some could've had.
A lot of them aren't known for using guns!!! A large amount of those playing Fortnite are kids to teens. I know there's adults also playing the game on a somewhat daily basis. It does sorta explain why an handful of these franchises were chosen? But how many of them knows Slender Man, Black Clover or Beetlejuice?
If you defeat Freddy, you can use his claw glove during a match. Personally I heard the voice overs, they could've done a bit more. They didn't need to swear just could've added some of his other famous quotes. The way Freddy was portrayed felt like they're in the dream world. This is where I started to notice they don't care about lore or how some characters meant to work?
Let's talk someone like Beetlejuice for an example. He's a ghost that goes out of his way to terrorize the living. He can shape shifting with a notable variety of powers. I felt characters like those really don't fit at all in this!!! Beetlejuice could easily cheat to survive matches if they were going by those. It's a similar situation with Freddy since he can manipulate the dream world.
He can have anything he wants happens as long as he has enough fear from people. Adding souls does increase his power making him like a God!!! Slender Man is so mysterious with barely much to actually go on. Power scaling is literately all over the place!!! Some of these beings existing on a few plains of existence makes facing em in matches pointless.
Of course, that's assuming you could kill them or temporary stop them? I know Predator has crossed over prior to the Halloween event. But this is Predator: Badlands that differs a lot from the franchise. I know calling that a new franchise might be seen as a stretch. Considering, the concept of that Predator movie. I felt it should be treated as it's own related thing than just Predator franchise.
It would've been different if that were more alike anything else within Predator franchise. It didn't stop them kept adding in different versions of Batman!!! Look we get it, Fortnite loves Batman!!! I was more surprise with all the DC crossovers, they didn't go for Matt Hagen from the new Clayface movie. Some aspects of the character could've blend in with some of the mechanics.
I know it's not easy to get franchises ready to do crossovers. But did this Halloween event need this many new franchises? This felt like two of these Halloween events combined in overall scope!!! I also know there's a lot of people that wants literately everything in Fortnite. I never seen such a greedy online multiplayer game in my entire life!!!
