My thoughts on Ren & Stimpy Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy, Collection

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I figured Limited Run Games had to go for a game compilation based on The Ren & Stimpy Show soon. They just confirmed the collection not long ago. I already have a lot to say about that collection good & bad. I just wanna point out, it's among my favorite Nickelodeon cartoon shows.

The name of the upcoming compilation is Ren & Stimpy Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy, Collection. Which is perfect since such a song never gets out of your head. I don't think they could've picked a more fitting title. Some would describe this show being rather mess up crossing the line to a degree.

Which is amusing because of Rocko's Modern Life. The cartoon show has the famous duo before CatDog. One was a rather nice cat character with a very nasty dog character. Role versal for CatDog that's even stranger if you could believe it. Difficult to believe they allowed some of these moments during the 90s right?

Let's be honest this show was among the craziest of it's era everyone knew that!!! I absolutely love the cover currently for the physical release. But they likely use the same cover for their digital releases. This really screams the cartoon show to me. So far we're in a good direction.

Then I notice something I couldn't ignore for the life of me. I know I'm not the only one going to point it out to Limited Run Games either. I will list the entire confirmed lineup down below for reference purposes. Among these Ren & Stimpy games there's a particular game missing that should be in the collection.

1. Ren & Stimpy: Space Cadet Adventures (Game Boy)
2. Ren & Stimpy: Veediots! (SNES and Game Boy)
3. Ren & Stimpy: Buckeroo$ (NES and SNES)
4. Ren & Stimpy: Time Wrap (SNES)
5. Ren & Stimpy: Fire Dogs (SNES)

Some would even say the greatest Ren & Stimpy game ever!!! We already know their Carbon Engine works with Sega Genesis games. Where the hell is Ren & Stimpy: Stimpy's invention on Sega Genesis at? This was almost perfect until I noticed that. On one hand I'm glad for once all four SNES Ren & Stimpy games are coming back.

Some of which are quite rare to find. Most of these are pulling from several episodes of the show. Fire Dogs is the only one strictly based on a particular episode. I first learned of that Ren & Stimpy on The Angry Video Game Nerd. It was among twelve Christmas AVGN episodes released in a row.

I know there's isn't many Ren & Stimpy games. It still gotten more games than a lot of Nickelodeon franchises though. Especially in that era with four on Super Nintendo alone. Each developed by different teams no less. I'm just glad something with Ren & Stimpy coming back.

I first knew about Ren & Stimpy: Time Wrap from another web show Console Wars. There's a particular joke that always sticked with me. The two guys attempts getting the ending in Time Wrap. They were under, over and right on the amount of points the game said they needed.

Then one of them looked up finding out that number was wrong wow!!! This is just like the first trailer for their Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection. Where they didn't show anything regarding the first two Genesis Jurassic Park games. They later added those in before release.

Right now I'm hoping they add in Stimpy's Invention or I'm refusing to buy this!!! I am dead serious this just isn't complete with that Ren & Stimpy game. I really not trying to call this a rip off by any means either. Just coming out not quite right is the best way to describe it.

These are quite mixed received licensed video games to begin with. I already know it'll be better than Nickelodeon Splat Pack coming out in a few days. At this point why not give us an Beavis & Butt-Head collection too? I feel I have the right to be on the fences about this.

Another notable thing I wanna mention is they can't seem to get the rewind done just right. Which is going to be a huge issue playing these Ren & Stimpy games. I'm not expecting much for it's trophies/achievements either. What I really want is a very nice presentation beautifully recreating the cartoon show.

When this collection comes I'll be watching videos to see that. If it doesn't live up to that hype no deal!!! They really got plenty of ways to make it a rather unique experience. My expectations will be a little high. But considering all the insanity that goes on within that show it's justified.

Ren & Stimpy was almost not on Sega consoles with the possible exception of Stimpy's Invention. What's even more amusing is the same developers made those Genesis Jurassic Park games. I don't mind majority of these Ren & Stimpy games being pulled from Nintendo consoles.

Also do I gotta say it once again? What's wrong with having an Xbox version? This is getting very old Limited Run Games. It's starting to rub me the wrong way. Collections like this I would've love to had on Xbox. Now it has to be Steam thank you very much!!!

Considering three collection games in a month. I hope they don't rush this collection out too. They should have plenty of bonus content for this!!! Ren & Stimpy deserves better with many people possibly agreeing with me. I think I made it crystal clear. Either add in Stimpy's Invention or I won't be buying this period!!!
