McPixel 3 (2022)
It's a sequel to McPixel with a joke for McPixel 2 thrown around late into the game. To help any confusion, this is the only sequel game to exist. The main game play style is point & click. The game itself heavily centered around a lot of mini games. Usually in most games, mini games may differ on the amount within an game.
The main game usually the longest by far. Funny enough, it's the exact opposite here. I am serious, there's not much actual main game stuff. Mostly you get to explore to possibly buy areas for more mini games. You also can swap out skins in a store. Let me tell you there's a lot of them you can explore the map with. It's ridiculous there's so many mini games too.
You really can see the level of creativity had. A lot of them plays several different game genres. This almost felt like most games rolled into one. Somehow all this insanity works insanely well. This game truly was funny from start to finish. It's actually more fun to fail than to succeed. Sometimes when you do what you're suppose to do to win an mini game it's kinda meh.
Especially when the other failed options ends up being surprisingly funny. A lot of them you won't expect during a first playthrough I sure didn't. Some mini games you see this kinda interesting 3D indie style models. Some options just aren't clear how to go about em or you likely wouldn't even know they're options.
What I mean is some options are very unclear how to go about in this game. Once in a blue moon you'll see something. Suddenly it hits you, damn a lot of time I could've done this!!! You may experience that a lot especially with some of the later mini games. There's also several hidden mini games. Technically there's two categories for this.
The first default hidden mini games you first need to find Steve. Then you play as Steve for these weird mini games. The other hidden mini games you need to do particular options. Usually to win certain mini games to unlock em. One entire set of mini games is virtually guarantees you an 100% completion. Which is the heist set, it's more of a wacky story.
You play as McPixel whose a parody of Macgyver that's attempting to save the day. The more you experience, the more lively the open world becomes. They make earning money surprisingly easy. It's not like some expensive upgrades in Chicken Assassin: Reloaded. The most expensive location you actually get a choice that gives you enough coins to get in.
It was incredibly fun to achievement hunt this. Most guides do help point you into the right direction. Making sure you done everything within the mini games is most of the achievements. This would be a great party you could play with other people. McPixel 3 is packed with plenty of stuff to satisfy it's price of $9.99.
Even if it was a little higher I still felt it works. There's a few free DLC mini games as well. You will find em inside a mailbox when you start the game up. I also love after you see stuff play out for the most part. You simply hold down a button to speed through em. This really helps in so many ways. By the way yes all of this actually happens.
I am so deeply impressed how such a concept got executed this well. I actually gave this five stars on GOG. I simply love everything about this game. The few issues I had are very minor at best. This also seem to be the perfect game to bridge the entire Funny Christmas purchase together. I still got one more thing with the mini games to properly explain.
During a first playthrough for a set you keep going until you beaten them all. Sometimes some or all could be made golden meaning you done everything. The default completion color being silver is you still have some stuff left to do. You also can do Free Play to simply replay em for fun. McPixel 3 is very over the top in everything it does.
Yes it may get truly disgusting at times. Sometimes you might not even have the words among seeing stuff. The developer really thought of everything with this game. I also like I can swap between an mouse and my controller at times. This ended up being incredibly helpful for some options my controller had trouble selecting.
This game especially loves bombs because so many mini games has explosions. Surprisingly enough director Michael Bay isn't involved with this game lol. McPixel 3 without question was da bomb!!! Things sure gotten Dyna-Mite!!! This was a rather ambitious game that lived up to my expectations. I highly recommend checking this one out it's so damn good!!!
