Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I know I been bashing DbD recently. I do love the game just a few things overtime will get you in some way. Even I realize there's a couple things it does better than Resident Evil: Resistance. Keep in mind, this is strictly my opinion. But I also wanted to say I do personally enjoy both these games two thumbs way up.
5. More forms of currency
In Resident Evil: Resistance, you'll use RP points to get equipment or cosmetics for the characters. But you can't select what exactly you'll get. Thankfully it does keep track how many things you can get from containers. But in DbD, you can more directly for the most part buy or a few ways unlock cosmetics.
There's more currencies to getting those things. Like Auric Cells does require actual real money. But you can use it to buy more characters as well. I am just throwing that out there personally I rather just have them automatically added like a handful in Resistance's case. You also can use shards, the amount for stuff using them is notably bigger with a long grind period.
4. More maps
This should be an obvious reason otherwise shame on you. There's a lot of maps with a couple reworked. It would take hours to fully play all the maps currently in the game. Unless it's just two people playing private matches for that very reason. They also added breakable sections for the killers. Of course, there's a couple licensed maps from other franchises too.
3. More modes
Dead by Daylight may not have a practice mode. It does have a mode where you do challenges to earn stuff including cosmetics. A good number of them are reasonable with a couple being a challenge. Also the more you'll do of this, the more additional story gets revealed to you as well. Not only that, you can switch between parts of a book on both sides to make getting what you want easier.
2. More notable game play mechanic changes
Another obvious reason yeah I know. Some killers greatly impact the game play. Like Freddy originally needed to directly pull you into the dream world. It was later changed to survivors automatically start falling asleep. There's also a few traps you possibly could be facing. The Plague can make survivors sick that could potentially get other survivors sick if they aren't careful.
Yes this method is technically also in Resistance through a particular Alex skill. But how they go about curing themselves is different. The Deathslinger uses his speargun to force people towards him at a few angles. Pyramid Head has two finishers as well as methods to sacrifice people. My point is they do affect the game play in some way during matches.
1. More characters
Let's be honest, you knew this also was coming. There's a lot of characters more than most of it's competition in fact. There's plenty of characters on both sides you can be. Yes, I previously stated the survivor characters do play for the most part the same, I'm not changing my mind on that. You do get some great characters with some licensed ones as well thrown into the mix.
