Why I don't like MTV 2's Celebrity Deathmatch show?

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I grew up watching MTV Celebrity Deathmatch. Oh man, I remember always looking forward to this show. It still one of my favorite animated shows ever. It may not been an inspiration for the web show Death Battle but it's the closest thing I seen to this. Honestly, I have so many positive things to say about that show.

Sadly, it's more of the exact opposite about the MTV 2 reboot show. Where to begin? I didn't like the look of blood at all. They barely nailed any jokes with the funniest being that Meet Wally Sparks joke. This had some of the absolute worst fights in history of the show. A perfect example being Shaquille O'Neal vs Kobe Bryant.

Believe it or not, this is the only fight to actually happen on both versions of the show. Originally, the fight was done so well on the original version with Bryant won. It's already questionable why do it again. But oh man did they ruin it so bad. They made Bryant too short with Shaq being too tall. It is one of the shortest fights ever.

I do need to mention Chris Farley vs Horatio Sanz fight. According to the rules on the old version, as soon as someone entered the ring. If anyone dies at any point even before the match starts, it counts. However they decided to abuse a new rule. Thus, they kept reusing the time machine to back Farley back.

This happens a few times then finally Sanz gets killed by Farley just like that what?. I didn't like Tally Wong at all, they clearly playing off Nick & Debbie not liking each other but with Johnny instead. Even the referee isn't safe. Oh okay I will excuse the man himself couldn't talk properly due to a stroke.

In this way, it was a great decision because how they used his character in such weird ways. Not only that, they force Nick getting into things more than they should've. They haven't done many twists on matches either. One of the stupidest they done is actually a match voted in by fans. I got a confession, just out of curious I voted for that match.

What is the match in question you are probably wondering? Ashlee Simpson vs Her Old Nose. I thought it was going to be Nicholas Cage vs John Travolta which played off Face/Off movie twist. Sadly, they actually made Simpson's old nose into a huge talking nose character. Let's be honest, Fandemonium episodes were amazing.

A lot of creativity went into those episodes even allowing the fans to choose who fights. This includes Howard Stern being a guest referee in a mud match between Carmen Electra and Jenna McCarthy. They even done the cast of the first two seasons of the reality show, Survivor. Sadly, a handful of viewer fights made it in.

They didn't do very much about those at all with horrible choices. Keep in mind, both seasons this show had either eight episodes long. Which is much shorter than any season of the original show. They even did a stupid trick to cut four celebrities in halves then force combined em together. If I wanted something like this, I rather rewatch any Super Freak fight.

There's absolutely no sign of Stone Cold Steve Austin whose one of my favorite wrestlers ever. Not as many celebrities got voiced by the actual people either. Now even in the original show, not many celebrities done so with Steve Austin & Mills Lane being the most recurring. The original show did spice things up especially in ways you wouldn't expect.

They also reused Nick vs Johnny that later became an unscheduled match. Bam Margera took on Tony Hawk then his uncle Don Vito not long afterwards. They made the classic characters we love not rememberable actually more forgettable. They didn't push the envelope like the original show. Very few fights were at least worth a rewatch.

They went more ridiculous in ways that just didn't work well. When the original show done similar things, it actually worked. Not to mention, sometimes they had creatures including Big Foot & the Loch Ness Monster. They didn't even do any holiday theme episodes. They did do a comedy theme episode.

If I recall, the only show only done that theme twice. Funny enough, the only celebrities to appear between both shows on those episodes are Ben Stiller and Rodney Dangerfield. This show simply does not work at all. Even the video game was way better than this garbage. You can't blame me for not fully being on board with this show coming back.

Top 5 Ways Dead by Daylight is technically better than Resident Evil: Resistance

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I know I been bashing DbD recently. I do love the game just a few things overtime will get you in some way. Even I realize there's a couple things it does better than Resident Evil: Resistance. Keep in mind, this is strictly my opinion. But I also wanted to say I do personally enjoy both these games two thumbs way up.

5. More forms of currency

In Resident Evil: Resistance, you'll use RP points to get equipment or cosmetics for the characters. But you can't select what exactly you'll get. Thankfully it does keep track how many things you can get from containers. But in DbD, you can more directly for the most part buy or a few ways unlock cosmetics.

There's more currencies to getting those things. Like Auric Cells does require actual real money. But you can use it to buy more characters as well. I am just throwing that out there personally I rather just have them automatically added like a handful in Resistance's case. You also can use shards, the amount for stuff using them is notably bigger with a long grind period.

4. More maps

This should be an obvious reason otherwise shame on you. There's a lot of maps with a couple reworked. It would take hours to fully play all the maps currently in the game. Unless it's just two people playing private matches for that very reason. They also added breakable sections for the killers. Of course, there's a couple licensed maps from other franchises too.

3. More modes

Dead by Daylight may not have a practice mode. It does have a mode where you do challenges to earn stuff including cosmetics. A good number of them are reasonable with a couple being a challenge. Also the more you'll do of this, the more additional story gets revealed to you as well. Not only that, you can switch between parts of a book on both sides to make getting what you want easier.

2. More notable game play mechanic changes

Another obvious reason yeah I know. Some killers greatly impact the game play. Like Freddy originally needed to directly pull you into the dream world. It was later changed to survivors automatically start falling asleep. There's also a few traps you possibly could be facing. The Plague can make survivors sick that could potentially get other survivors sick if they aren't careful.

Yes this method is technically also in Resistance through a particular Alex skill. But how they go about curing themselves is different. The Deathslinger uses his speargun to force people towards him at a few angles. Pyramid Head has two finishers as well as methods to sacrifice people. My point is they do affect the game play in some way during matches.

1. More characters

Let's be honest, you knew this also was coming. There's a lot of characters more than most of it's competition in fact. There's plenty of characters on both sides you can be. Yes, I previously stated the survivor characters do play for the most part the same, I'm not changing my mind on that. You do get some great characters with some licensed ones as well thrown into the mix.

Survivor comparison (Dead by Daylight and Resident Evil: Resistance)

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I mostly play as the Mastermind. But a lot of matches I done this month, I also played a lot of survivor matches. Now I got a lot to talk about that's interesting to discuss. Keep in mind, this is strictly my opinion. For the record, both can be somewhat stressful at times. So when I do survive in a match as a survivor, I feel amazing or well alive lol.

Let's get some of the most obvious stuff out of the way. There's a lot more cosmetics in Dead by Daylight. A large amount of them has a few ways to get. Usually licensed ones you'll need Auric Cells that you only can get with real money. But it's different in Resident Evil: Resistance's case. You mostly use RP points around 50,000 per chest.

There's a lot of chests taking a lot of hours to get em all. At the same time, you'll more likely get em than trying to keep up with every new cosmetics in DbD. Also, every character among reaching rank 50 gets an golden outfit. In the case of the Masterminds, particular creatures gets a golden outfit. Some cosmetics in DbD are given through process in a mode or during events.

There's a few major things about the survivors in Resident Evil: Resistance that stands out. For starters, they all have voice overs. They actually use what they specialize in more directly during matches. Keep in mind, all seven survivors specialize in two categories. They also can spray pictures anywhere as well as do gestures including dancing too.

There's a lot more survivor characters in DbD without question. I will say both these games does that role way better than Friday the 13th: The Game. In DbD, the survivors has a few ways to stun the killer. Mostly what you are doing is running away or hiding. You can't hide in Resident Evil: Resistance though.

Some people would like Resistance more because the survivors can actually fight back. Unlike in DbD or F13 but like Last Year, you can die a couple times during a match. Of course, we have to talk about a major difference in their builds. In DbD, over time all survivor perks can be use on any survivor.

Everything else like add ons or offerings are also shared. I already talked about the leveling process in another blog. How both games does about ranking players on the survivor side is somewhat similar. Like the Masterminds, the equipment limit is the same being 25 points.

So I felt there's more of a real limit. But here's the kicker, there's a lot of perks to keep up with. In Resistance however, each survivor has technically three skills with an extra slot being another passive skill. All of this greatly affects how you play during the matches.

You could go in with a strong survivor build but due to someone else on your team or a surprisingly strong MM build. You could still lose in matches, although survivor builds are notably more op here. As mentioned earlier, each survivor character specializes in two categories.

Most of them has Damage which means they can do more damage either through fire arms or melee weapons or both. Martin is great to disarm the traps. Jill can get out a rocket launcher with four rockets. Of course, everyone knows January. She could be the Mastermind's worst nightmare at times.

She can cheat many aspects of the game like getting access to hidden weapons or hacking MMs in a few ways. Survivors in DbD, can bring like flash lights, a tool box or a medic kit. It is also possible by either searching crates or grabbing stuff from a sacrificed survivor.

In Resistance, you can go in with particular stuff depending what you may have access to. You also could increase the amount of Umbrella Credits you start with or the amount you'll get after picking em up. You can buy stuff or find them during matches.

Both games has a method of how the survivors give each other stuff. Keep in mind, there's a few locations on each section of the maps. Where the survivors buy stuff but green & blue herbs are in short supply. Survivors can create builds to potentially handle any MM.

For example, if you know what you're looking for. You could get a greater resistance to infection. In both games, survivors can be downed. Those survivors can be saved by other survivors. If not, they die on the ground. But this process is notably longer in DbD.

The survivors in DbD by default could be hooked up to three times. Although, stuff like being left on the hook or you attempted to struggle. Which will greatly cut your time down when you do. In Resistance, the survivors can prevent instant death moves from three MM's Ultimate creatures.

It is also possible to stun down which can take some effort to do. Like firing enough damage on William's big eye or Mr. X's head or Nemesis' plat on his chest. The survivors can kill Yateveo however. They have little to no real counter to Spencer's Disintregration Field.

Unlike DbD, every player on the survivor side has to be a particular character. You can have a team of four characters just not two or more being the same character. A great survivor team can easily rip through the toughest MM builds like tin foil. Not only that, you could have anything thrown at you too.

As previously mentioned in another blog, in DbD one player gets to be the killer. For the most part they are on their own. But in the Masterminds' case you are controlling a small army. It could be mostly creatures, guns or traps or a mix. Basically, surviving in Resistance is trickier because of that alone.

Some people would prefer DbD because you do get to directly select outfits you don't have or mix what you do have up. Which you can't do in Resistance sadly. Yet both games has outfits for furries out there. Going back to survivor builds, each survivor in all four categories has a few variation the players can use.

They will affect several aspects of that character during matches. Which could be improved by what you selected in equipment section of your builds. It kinda felt more fair than in DbD's case. But both games are simply done better in that regard than F13, even those who played that way more than me knows it.

Honestly, I expect to lose a lot in both games as one of the survivors. Due to the smaller maps broken up into three sections. You are more likely going to work together than in DbD's case. I'll break their objectives down starting with Dead by Daylight first.

Dead by Daylight

The survivors depending on the amount of players goes from 2 being the lowest with five being the highest. They need to get generators up which can be easy or surprisingly difficult depending on the killer. After the final generator required goes up.

They need to open either exit gate then escape. But an survivor with an key or simply being the last one can escape through the hatch. But be careful, the killer can close it to instantly trigger Endgame Collapse. Now suddenly, all the players currently in the match has a time limit to escape.

Resident Evil: Resistance

The survivors needs to find three key items. Which is different on each map, although Spencer has a variation of a skill to add in fake key items in Area 1. Among escaping Area 1, in Area 2 they need to kill a particular security guard zombie.

One of the survivors has to obtain his key card. Now that survivor has to activate three panels to gain access to Area 3. After that, they need to destroy three tanks. Shortly after destroying the last required tank. one of the survivors needs to open the final exit.

Among reaching the latter sections, the Masterminds gets their selected exclusive cards. Not only that, among activating the final exit. The Mastermind's Bio Energy rate is notably increased. Some matches can be pretty crazy by that point. You also have another choice either wait for the last member to be in the spot or escape.

In DbD's case, you could escape with the others or on your own. It's just more of an option in Resistance's case. It is truly amazing for people to constantly survive matches in both games. There's a lot of possibilities that could happen. I think I broken them down enough for this comparison.

To me, being an survivor in DbD is almost a death sentence. But in Resistance's case, you could end up in a bad or surprisingly strong team. They made the survivor's builds more unique in comparison. Just attempting to survive the Masterminds is way more punishing than the killer in DbD's case.

Explaining two Mastermind builds (Resident Evil: Resistance)

Hello I'm Jack Red, I didn't think I was going to be able to create an Mastermind build. But I proven myself wrong twice now. I am here to talk about my two Mastermind builds. Also before I even get started, special thanks to lollink42 for doing videos on my builds. I had a blast watching both your videos especially my later one lol.

The inspiration of this build was loosely about vampires in Resident Evil: Village. In general ever since my child hood, vampires are one of my absolute favorite supernatural beings. I was curious to see if I could a build inspired by vampires showing no mercy. In other words, to kill their prey rather than seduction or to feed on later.

I wanted a build that actually terrifies people. Even I can be honest not my scariest build that's up next. It does lack defense but greatly makes up for it in offense. Using Vampire skill can be a game charger at times using this build. I use both V-Act Zombie & even worst Remove Shell. Both of these are zombies with most enhancers already enabled.

Obviously Remove Shell would be Dracula of this build. Before I go any further I am aware of similar builds like The Dracula Build or Dracula Daniel Build. If you look at just the basic set up, my build is clearly more of it's own. Also creating this build, I didn't know about those builds prior. This is a build most low rank teams can't handle.

The real question is could it handle better teams? Believe it or not, I won some close matches with this build recently. So I can confirm with the right strategies, yes you can. Of course, there's flaws in this build. End of the day, I am still very happy with this build. If you think about it, every creature with buffs is worse than Mr. X.

Energy Booster-Creatures

This is my strongest build as well as possibly the most unforgiving I ever seen. Largely, centered on getting as many dogs, lickers and ivys in a match as possible. Creature Efficiency with Discount and Energy Booster-Creatures all helps in getting stuff like lickers being cheaper to get. I didn't go for Enhancing Vapor-Regen because I was using Licker-Regen Aura serving the same purpose.

At the same time, having vicious creatures that survivors are going to struggle escaping or fighting. Same with Ivys but those can instantly down survivors. Umbrella Reserves comes with a price for using. The other likely stuff you'll get from it can still help you in ways. Like using Teleportation Trap sometimes can be help to delay them from escaping or Blinding Flash to well blind em.

I knew for a build this ambitious, Unstable Generator would greatly come in handily. Especially if they somehow make it to Area 3 aka Hell lol. Conventer Mod-Creatures by default is 18 Bio Energy. Without something like Unstable Generator, you could only do up to 10 Bio Energy. But the beautiful part is even creature cards you use will lower it down depending on the amount of energy you used.

For example, with some of this by default a licker would cost 7 Bio Energy. So spending 7 Bio Energy lowers Conventer Mod-Creatures down by 7. I chose Zombie-Infectious to possibly save time when you are force to work faster. Imposter Zombie is going to be one of your best friends in this build no pun intended.

Enhancing Vapor cards I'm using covers the remaining three buffs that make up an V-Act zombie or most of Remove Shell, which is exclusive to Daniel. Unless you use Spencer's Omniscience exclusive card thus giving Spencer by random selection a possibility of using it. Let's talk about the equipment since Brutal Vampire Daniel Build was a very obvious direction.

Razor Claws III allows creatures to do more damage to the survivors. Of course, survivor players could have builds to help counter this. Same with Viral Canister that greatly increases infection for the survivors. There isn't much survivors can do to prevent me from getting more energy. Only January is capable doing that.

So you're facing a team without January, they can't prevent the Mastermind player using from getting more energy. Even if they were the case, all enhancers are increased by Annette's Buffs skill. Which means, if a zombie with Energy Leech capabilities grabs an survivor. I will get more energy than normal without using that skill of hers.

Which also can be helpful late into a match as well. Unstable Generator also plays into Bulletproof Glass III where the tanks in Area 3 are incredibly durable. Thus survivors are force to waste more ammo if they have any left or melee weapons. Thus greatly slowing em down during Area 3. At the same time, you can take advantage of that delay to spawn more creatures.

Let's be honest one issue is you could be dealt with a series of not great hands while other times it's pretty mind blowing. I will be linking my most recent videos using both builds as well as lollink42's videos. Also because he does a great job explaining & showcasing them in his videos. The best way to explain what exactly is this build.

Imagine a build that without warning suddenly becomes another build on the fly. As if I was actually changing it during matches rather than mostly being the one build concept. No I'm not a hacker but seriously a lot of thought went into creating this. I had a few great inspirations for this build as well. This build is amazingly good, yes it holds up well against great teams.

A list of inspirations for this build includes...

1. Both versions of Resident Evil 2

2. Randomizer mode from Nintendo 64 version, I seen people in videos play it

3. An Annette build the world haven't seen before

4. Created specialty for Area 3 and better teams

5. It plays heavily on deception

6. 21 from Resident Evil VII: Biohazard

I already know no matter how hard I try there's no way I'm going to top this particular build. It is just surprisingly good that's filled with surprises for the survivors. I guess all that's left is to link two videos with both me and lollink42 playing both builds. I do want to point out, for Brutal Vampire Daniel Build video, he mostly fought lower rank survivors.

I figured showing both of us playing with these builds. It may inspire people to try em out or create their own builds. I just proven twice, there's still room to create more builds. The real question is how badly do you want one? Honestly I'm quite proud of these builds especially Trickster Annette Build. Once again special thanks goes to lollink42 for doing both videos as well for his kindness.

What's the difference between Dead by Daylight and Resident Evil: Resistance?

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I will be linking my villain player comparisons here so I don't have to cover them again. Also to save time while reading this entry. Now I will also be talking somewhat about the survivors. I won't fully go into it since that's suppose to be it's own blog entry. With that being said let's get started.

https://jackred1989.blogspot.com/2021/01/top-5-why-being-mastermind-in-resident.html

I actually want to add stuff to it here. Alex is known for the traps while a few killers also deal with traps in different ways. This by itself can be quite confusing to talk about. Let's start with Alex first, she specializes in infection as well as traps. You'll get a lot of traps to work with. It's a somewhat lengthy list, keep in mind other Mastermind characters can use these too.

1. Landmine

2. High Explosive Mine

3. Airburst Mine

4. Shock Trap

5. Tracker Mine

6. Leghold Trap

7. Leghold Trap (3)

8. Lockdown Trap

9. Flashbang Trap

10. Decoy Trap.

On the killers side we have The Trapper, The Hag, The Pig, The Executioner and The Nightmare. Yes all of them have some form of traps as well. Obviously, The Trapper uses his beartraps. The Hag puts symbols on the ground to quickly teleport to the survivors once triggered.

The Pig forces Reverse Beartraps onto them. Which can also kill the survivors if they don't take it off in time or attempt escaping while it's still activated. The Executioner uses Rites of Judgment to get survivors tormented. If downed, Pyramid Head could use his exclusive sacrifice method instead of the usual sacrifice way or mori.

The Nightmare has two similar purposes traps. One of them leaves spots on the ground to temporary slows them survivors. His dream pallets also can be used to trick survivors during chases to gain the upper hand. Now back to Resistance to discuss it's traps. Most of them are well explosive that can knock survivors off their feet.

Leghold Trap temporary prevents the trapped survivor from moving. Which technically makes it similar to The Trapper's Beartraps. Except those could require more effort to get off in comparison. Shock Trap has a huge hit radius shocking all survivors close by. Airburst Trap blows survivors off their feet that could take away additional time from them in the process.

Tracker Mine temporary makes the survivors hit by it more vulnerable to damage. Lockdown Trap will close every door within it's radius. Flashbang Trap will blind the survivors for a short period of time. Decoy Trap is basically used to trick survivors, it doesn't actually do anything. Oh wait there's more traps to talk about too.

Alex also has a few exclusive trap cards like Landmine (3) and Virus Mine. Landmine (3) is technically more explosive than just one High Explosive Mine because all three of them blows up at the same time. Virus Mine will infect any survivor within it's radius. Alex would be it's answers to The Trapper and The Plague respectively.

Although characters on both sides has counters for each other. The main reason why that's more here than in the same blog is because that's more optional in DbD. After all, they actually allow all the survivors to use every perk but the maximum is 4 perks at a time. The same case for all the killers too.

Masterminds has a point limit on Equipment section to properly balance things out. It used to be 20 points but later became 25 points. Also when a survivor dies in DbD, it's game over. But in Resistance as long there's time left they can keep coming back during matches. I should point out the ranking systems is vastly different since in Resistance's case also acts as it's leveling system.

This by itself will get confusing when doing a comparison. In DbD, you start from Rank 20 on both sides. Keep in mind, this is more competitive based so you have to constantly do great to go higher up the ranks. Which means you actually can go down ranks too. This happens regardless every 13th of each month.

In terms of leveling, DbD's maximum level is 50. However you could choose to prestige any character on both sides up to three times. Basically, you could put in a lot of hours to fully do the entire leveling process with every characters four times each. Each prestige unlocks a bloodier part of your outfit as well as making rarer things more common on the blood web.

Now to Resistance, you start Rank 1 with a slight chance getting ranked down to Rank -1. It isn't fully clear how that's possible. For the most part, you could do hours among hours of losing matches to still go up ranks. I know some people wouldn't like that. The highest rank so happens to be I kid you not Rank 999.

As high that number seems with twelve characters. There's a lot more characters in DbD with the possibility of leveling fully four times each. So in comparison that's way more grinding in comparison. I do need to mention how the survivors tackle the villain player is very different. In DbD, there's more hiding & options to stun the killer during matches.

In Resistance, the Mastermind uses creatures, guns, traps, mods and effects. The survivors can fight back with melee weapons, fists, Tyrone's kicks and guns. The prepare screen is very different between both games on both sides. For the survivors you do see the other survivors players while not knowing who you're going up against.

This is where things get kinda interesting on the villain side. For the killers in DbD, you see who you're playing as along with the survivor players. For Resistance, The Mastermind player doesn't see any of the survivors prior to the loading screen. Sometimes during the loading screen in DbD, it gives hints how to deal with a particular killer.

In most cases spoils who the survivors are facing in the match. But in Resistance, both sides gets to see who they are facing during the loading screen. One major difference I noticed is you don't see everyone's rank in DbD until a match is fully over. This also includes what perks and add ons the killer used in that match.

From the loading screen as well as results you'll see everyone's rank in Resistance. Earlier, I mention the ranks in Resistance are also it's leveling system. Well there's some truth to that because you have more of an idea what possibly coming your way than in DbD's case. The ranks doesn't actually show the actual experience that player has.

Which means you could get a bunch of lower rank players that end up destroying you in a match. Not as strong possibility in Resistance. Another major difference is how you grab the survivors. In DbD, mostly when the survivors are working on generators or the exit gates or healing another survivor.

If that survivor players doesn't stop their actions, the killer can easily grab them. They also get a guarantee grab during a chase if a survivor vaults at the worst time. They also can grab you from lockers too. In other words, survivors must do one of these in order to grab em. But I can simply grab them in Resistance no problem.

Sometimes they can easily get away or get help from another survivor. Stuff like Ivys and Ne-a can instantly down survivors if neither happens. Of course, we need to talk about the instant downing moves in DbD because there's a couple of those. Some killers has a move to instantly down survivors with one possibly downing all of them in on go being Leatherface.

These moves can be tricky to hit survivors. The survivors do have counters for such moves during matches. The killers could use one of three variations of mori to kill survivors. But the golden rule for that is you must down them first. Also depending on which type determines how to use it.

The lowest tier of it is kill anyone that's it. The middle tier is exclusive to the last survivor in a match. The highest tier is killing everyone in a match. Keep in mind, this is widely known for being toxic so I don't recommend using that one. In Resistance's case, only Mr. X, William aka G-Birkin and Yaeveo have an instant death move.

I should point out some killers have a few possible ways to kill survivors. Pyramid Head & The Twins respectively technically have two moris. All of these actions in both games can easily be prevented. But there's a cool down for Resistance's side that allows instantly killing multiple survivors in a match.

The best part is you don't even need to customize your builds for that. Another major difference is DbD virtually could be anything terrifying to mostly scifi horror theme of Resistance. Also The Entity could affect multiple universes while each Mastermind has a connection to Umbrella Corporation.

If you think about it, The Entity & Spencer aren't that different from each other. In DbD, it is more of a hunt as the killer while it's more of a simulation style experience for the Masterminds. The conditions to getting Merciless Killer rank are much more strict than getting an S rank in Resistance.

To be honest, I actually gotten both in videos no less showing one survivor escaped to still get those ranks. There's more ranks for the Masterminds among the scoring in comparison. The lowest being an D rank to the highest being an S rank. Also Resident Evil: Resistance like Friday the 13th: The Game is exclusively it's universe nothing more.

Which will remain true if a crossover between the two ever happens. Yes I heard about the rumors folks, I don't think it's going to be an Resident Evil chapter to DbD. I do think later down the road it's going to happen. Now going back to Shock Trap, the closest thing DbD has to that is The Doctor.

I will be honest I rather be The Doctor than use one of those. There I said it let's move on. Ash is the only character currently in the game you play as to have actual voice overs. Which ties in all playable characters in Resistance having voice overs. There's no voice chat in DbD while there is in Resistance.

Although, you can be in parties even play with a team going in match searches together. Another critical difference being Resistance actually has a practice mode for both sides. In order to test out builds before using them in actual matches. I will be honest to say DbD could gain a lot by doing that feature.

Keep in mind, the Mastermind builds are even more ridiculous potentially than any killer builds of DbD I'm not kidding. They have different names for private matches. There's a lot more achievements/trophies in DbD. I do like it's more than F13's as well as some fun things to go for.

Let's be honest it's getting too much for even hardcore DbD fans. I rather have a set number that's it. At least there I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I should point out, neither Jill or Nicholas counts for the biggest achievement/trophy on both sides. Yes I tested it during actually getting those achievements myself.

Both Nemesis and Yateveo has tentacles which isn't in DbD yet surprisingly. Nemesis also armed with an rocket launcher. William is armed with a large pipe swinging. Another thing DbD doesn't have is lasers which so happens to be what Spencer brings to the table. The closest DbD uses to firearms is The Deathslinger with his custom spear gun.

There's a few weapons the cameras can use mostly firearms being the most direct. Nicholai does have two turret variations of those that are accurate. There's also Immobilizing Rounds that traps survivors in place. There's also Energy Leech Rifle that mostly helps with getting more Bio Energy with not much force.

There's also Enhancer types with Annette having the best one exclusive to her. Unless you have a particular exclusive Spencer card. These will add effects to the survivors. Keep in mind, Valerie can disable those. There's also Anchors not as in for those used to stop ships lol. These can limit creatures in place while altering effects for them with Spencer having the best one.

The Masterminds has more ways to prevent survivors from escaping than any killer does in DbD. Yes I know I covered a large deal mostly focusing on the games themselves as well as the villain side. The Masterminds work with cool downs as well as Bio Energy system to work around that problem.

I don't know when the survivors blog will be done. But I will try to making it a good one to the best of my ability. For now, I think I talked a even greater deal about both games. If enough people are interested I might do a comparison with Last Year as well. No guarantee of course just throwing it out there.

What's the same about Dead by Daylight and Resident Evil: Resistance?

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, I slowly working on getting better on the survivor side of Resident Evil: Resistance. Until I'm ready, I will talk about what both games has in common. The direct follow up to this will be it's polar opposite what's different. Which is going to be just as interesting.

Both are four players play as the survivors with a fifth player being the antagonist of the match. It is possible to kill all the survivors during matches. Although, that's more of a topic for the follow up blog to cover. More recently among the cosmetics are furry costumes. Among the villain characters, there's a clown character.

The Clown and Jester in that case. We also need to bring up their plant theme characters. The Demogorgon, Ivys and Yateveo that are among the worst things to run into. The villain player is also the host for the matches. Both also has an underground facility which is heavily presented in Resistance.

Despite being done differently, both sides do have the ability to use builds. There's a great point someone pointed out on Facebook. If you think about it, Area 2 in Resistance does strangely play similar to matches in DbD. Let me explain, the survivors needs to kill a particular security guard zombie because he's holding a key card.

Directly following that, the survivor holding the key card must activate three panels. In order to gain access to Area 3 aka the final section of the map. So in that regards to that, it is somewhat similar to trying to get five or less generators up in DbD. Mostly a topic on the villain side, each character has advantages over those on the survivor side in some way.

Both games have penalties for leaving or being disconnected during matches. Both sides also has cosmetics you can wear during matches as well. It is possible to down survivors during matches as well. Which also be more talked about in the follow up blog. Technically speaking survivors has their own specialties.

It is also possible for the survivors to find stuff during matches. Which does include heal items being the one they both have. Despite being presented differently serves a similar purpose. Obviously, the survivors must work together to survive. They also have to run away from the villain player often.

Among the villain player's attacks are claws as well as setting traps. Which by itself is going to be more talked about in the follow blog. The Plague can get survivors sick while there's a few ways to get survivors infected in Resistance being the closest thing to that. Speaking of that, there's a way to get survivors to throw up during matches too.

If you think about it, both their general concepts is virtually an endless loop. It's a game of cat and mouse regardless how you see it. I won't fully go into details about this but both games has multiple variations of stuff you could use during matches. Both survivor's sides play in third person view.

Most villain characters has one major strength going for them. It greatly differs between both games with two in the case of Resistance. I already covered a great amount about the villain's side not long ago. Survivors can help get downed survivors back up during matches. Sometimes the villain player can take advantage of that.
