I'm sure around 2010s simulator games notably started to show up. You got a lot of them you do expect to be games. Usually the more particular jobs simulator games. A large amount of them being restaurant theme. To clarify I'm only focusing on those with Simulator in the titles. There's a little variety that attempts to be like real life.
I simply love they had to put Simulator in the titles. It kinda comes off like we're that stupid lol. Occasionally you get upgrades that helps makes several aspects a little easier. Either you gotta get as much within a money or slowly finish jobs to get more money. Some of them also offers alternative methods to get money.
Keep in mind, this section focusing on the more realistic, believable simulator games. The real fun begins when I start ranting on the more fun, out there Simulator games. Obviously The Sims series is a famous example that isn't directly called Simulator. At the same time, these games recreate many aspects of real life.
Also expect more indie developers to do similar concept Simulator games. Especially on Steam it's filled with em!!! It's amazing some of the stuff you actually get to do. You actually learn a lot about particular jobs in ways you didn't think was possible. This seems like one of the easiest or among the most tedious genres in gaming.
I say easiest because they usually take time to help you understand what you're doing. Even simulator games you gotta go to make money is friendly enough to help you out. I said tedious because some of them requires surprising levels of perfection. You do have the choice to mostly finish a job or go the extra distance to full complete em?
This also becoming one of those genres. Some developers rush out okay to bad Simulator games. There's also indie developers that truly cares to deliver amazing experiences. You may have to be a little selective which to play. Crime Scene Cleaner which is a simulator game absolutely amazing in what it does.
My best advice to possibly save you money from getting the bad ones. If you have an friend that occasionally plays this style of games. Simply ask them which ones you should play? Also you gotta be more selective about which video game reviewers you wish to trust their opinions on games? Especially the drama in recent years.
The decent reviewers on YouTube usually doesn't tell ya wrong on them. At times they flat out say don't play em which is rare among the more decent reviewers. You know the people that focuses more on decent video games than bad ones. If you played enough of them you can choose to give more of them a try or don't at all?
I know to a degree realism in games turns me off. Some of them makes these jobs worst than they actually are while others somehow makes em a lot of fun. Some of them simply gives you a rather unique perceptive on everything. Maybe you prefer these simulator games or the wackier concept ones instead?
Alright I bet some of ya are dying to know what I gotta say about the more possibly wtf Simulator games right? You can tell some of these exists simply because no one else would do em. Some of which is in all honestly incredibly stupid ideas they just had to do. This goes from weird job simulators to everything else literately!!!
I really do mean everything else you really would be surprise. This or that somehow an actual simulator game you can buy on Steam maybe other platforms. There's a few insult theme simulator games. Not to mention weird animal simulator games. You play as creatures in games capable of truly stupid stuff like Goat Simulator: Remastered.
Some of them cover rather bizarre concepts. Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator, yes this is a real game. A black market for body parts being auditioned across an universe or at least an galaxy. There's a few based on homeless people like Bum Simulator. Some of these no way a big name game company doing em.
A lot of them are in smaller game franchises. I guess a lot of people grew up with role playing. In terms of using their imagination. Sometimes dress up to be particular characters. I'm just saying it kinda explains why so many of these simulator games exists!!! You can search them up a couple pages filled with em I'm not kidding!!!
Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator series allows you to create ridiculous wars for fun. Eventually people going to run out of jobs to recreate. How fair would any of these gaming services allow these companies to go with the concepts? We even have a few crime theme simulators. I'm talking literately enforcing the law as well as breaking it simulator games.
Indirectly Grand Theft Auto series is a major factor why those simulator games exists. There's even Placid Plastic Duck Simulator. Yes a real game you recreate having these plastic ducks in pools. Either this is among the most creative or uninspired video game genres in existence it's up to you. There's even one called Granny Simulator.
I never said these simulator sticked to realism lol. Snail Simulator, even one of the slowest insects in existence gets an simulator game. The simply fact so many of them exists. Virtually means you could make anything into video games!!! Just like horror games, we barely had any of them when I was a kid.
Now I'm in my 30s there's so many of them!!! I easily could fill up any gaming account with em. I mean wow I guess people secretly wants to control everything!!! At least that's the message I'm getting from these games. Seriously someone made Rock Simulator!!! You literately play as a rock wow how creative!!!
There's even Beer Simulator, a weird clicker simulation game you upgrade beer. Even beer gets it's own weird simulator game. WOW Clock Simulator this has to be the most exciting thing ever (sarcasm). Someone even made Achievement Simulator. It's a weird attempt to recreate achievement hunting games.
Something I been doing for a few decades now. OMG you can't be serious, Mayonnaise Simulator!!! All of a sudden I'm recalling Stephen King out of ideas Family Guy joke. Let's not limit to reality here. Breast Simulator is wtf am I looking at kind of game. Even particular stuff you do in private done in simulator games.
Loading Simulator is recreating retro PC era. You know several basic stuff that used to take forever in the 90s as well as early 2000s. Personally I felt stuff like that is simply better left forgotten. As I'm writing this more wow that's an simulator game shows up. By this point Steam writing my own blog post than myself at this point.
Let's say some of these may not even get release on consoles at all. Steam simply accepts majority of games as well as DLCs as soon as it's sent in. For console game companies they first take time to review what's been sent in. They must get approved to show up on their services or they won't. By now a lot of bad Steam game videos making more sense right?
I'm not directly calling this genre bad by any means. There's several indie developers clearly looking to rip people off. I do know several of them wants people to enjoy their games. A lot of them still in Early Access. Just be cautious for any difficulty including possibly game breaking glitches playing them.
I felt the more I searched Steam. The longer this blog entry going to get. I simply want to make a few things clear. There's so many of them it's ridiculous. Even sticking with the more realistic job theme ones. You got many choices which ones to play. But if you're more like me. You probably enjoy the why is this exists? experience more.
I'm also not trying to say those are boring either. I confess some kinda are while others just works. Then you get to the more ridiculous side. You start to wonder how stupid of a concept can they possibly go? Eventually Steam going to openly state that's too stupid we're not doing it!!! Regardless, it's up to you if you have any interest playing any of these simulator games.
