Death Battle Fight Prediction: Spawn (Imagine) vs Ghost Rider (Marvel)

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I think it's finally time to cover my current biggest Death Battle request to date. I been waiting a long time for the actual episode. It's season finale worthy in every sense of the word. It even had a particular Death Battle Podcast episode they couldn't stop talking about the fight.

I am talking about Spawn from Imagine comics vs Ghost Rider from Marvel comics. This is a truly epic showdown worthy of Hell itself. Two heroes given powers from an hellord. Then they ended up going against em to constantly fight the supernatural on a daily basis. Two god like beings with insane potential. It's no wonder why so many people wanna see these two go at it so bad!!!

Sure both of them previously won on the show. But this would be the best Death Battle episode for both characters. We really get to see them at their absolute finest. I'm really hype for this particular match up. Animation alone is enough reason to sell people on this. Then everything else is simply cherries on top of that sundae.

Verdict
Ghost Rider

Before Spawn fans gets upset yes I'm using the more famous Al Simmons. Just like I'm using Johnny Blaze in a similar fashion. Although they possibly might swap him out for his brother, Daniel Ketch. Therefore I'll present two versions with each brother for this fight prediction blog. Both of them can do a lot of the same stuff with ease.

Not to mention both can regenerate to a degree while having a weakness to holy weapons. Therefore just like Black Adam vs Apocalypse situation. We gotta take a closer look at their powers as well as how they counter each other. In that regard this is where Ghost Rider takes it. Spawn can still die from either using up too much energy or having his head cut off.

Both things Ghost Rider can easily do during this fight. Parts of their powers uses imagination to a degree. But for Spawn that's mostly his unique cape. Ghost Rider can simply alter anything he touches. This means an vehicle or any weapon for that matter can go from not a threat to a serious one without warning. It's safe to say Ghost Rider's powers heavily using imagination.

Let's be honest, Simmons prefers to use guns against some enemies. Even he knows they aren't effective against supernatural ones. He usually sticks with regular ammunition. In comparison, Ghost Rider could simply allow himself to be shot up to simply be fine right afterwards. This would be a different topic if Simmons used ammo meant for the supernatural.

Then again as previously mentioned holy weapons would weaken him as well. Obviously not a good idea for Simmons. Ghost Rider fights with his chain that can bypass durability. Which means even if Spawn were to get scale having higher durability. Ghost Rider can simply go through it to harm possibly kill him.

Considering Simmons both alive & dead killed a lot of people. Ghost Rider's Penance Stare would be very effective against him. Which by itself has some terrible possible outcomes. Including erasing Simmons altogether spiritually. Going back to Ghost Rider's chain, Spawn's chains simply doesn't compare.

Now I know some people may bring up when Penance Stare failed to work on The Punisher. Who has some similarities to Simmons. I don't think this is going to be much of an issue. Assuming they go with that logic, Simmons still loses for plenty of other reasons. Plus Penance Stare has a few possibilities that may still work on him.

There's also how long both has their powers for. In Spawn's case, his energy essentially is his life force. The more he uses his powers, the closer to death he'll become. The big issue with Ghost Rider is some situations could prevent Ghost Rider from fully losing his powers. Which also makes Ghost Rider the more broken character in this situation.

This is important because both held their own against some truly powerful beings. Ghost Rider could handle some of them at their most powerful. Spawn had to follow instructions from the Mother Being to deal with both God and the Devil respectively. I know some heavily play off God Spawn as well as Omega Spawn.

Both of those has different factors that could quickly lead to neither being presented in the episode. God Spawn was Simmons following instructions from the most powerful being there is. He simply wasn't allowed to do anything that isn't a part of her plans. As for Omega Spawn that rivals both God and the Devil in power.

All of which only second to the Mother Being. Spawn's universe just isn't as nearly as big or as insane as Marvel multiverse. What might seem incredibly powerful in Spawn's universe just isn't in any Marvel universes at all. Now Simmons as Omega Spawn would have infinite energy. Then again, Ghost Rider had defeated similar opponents before.

Such as Mephisto and his son Blackheart respectively. Also considering his Omega Spawn form happened after his events within the comics. They would have to argue to include it or not. Then again they did allow Bardock his Super Saiyan 1 form for his episode. In all honestly, even with the insane amount of abilities Spawn has.

Majority of them Ghost Rider can easily counter. Simmons lacks a solid method to even harm Ghost Rider. He also lacks a counter for any of his spiritual methods to directly target the soul. Which also means Ghost Rider can simply devour his soul. We still haven't even gotten to the elephant in the room yet.

In some situations, Zarathos has taken control over some of those he possessed. Zarathos can rival beings as insanely powerful as Galactus!!! Death Battle even stated those battles could possibly destroy the entire multiverse just as a side effect. The insane level of power alone could dwarf Spawn's most powerful forms with ease.

This also means if Spawn were to be the more powerful being. Ghost Rider through Zarathos can instantly give him the stats advantage in this fight. It's even stated Ghost Riders can only be killed by God aka The One Above All!!! Which is a pretty ridiculous concept with everything considered. This by itself is beyond any label Spawn ever gotten.

Ghost Rider has more ridiculous regeneration as well. He could even survive spiritually stuff. There's no question, Spawn is a truly impressive character. He simply can not handle Ghost Rider at all. Some could argue Daniel would be even better than his brother Johnny at being Ghost Rider. Temporary Ghost Rider fought World Breaker Hulk in canon.

You know one of the strongest forms Hulk ever taken!!! The same form that easily owned a lot of big name Marvel characters. Spawn only shot at victory is hope none of the unusual situations occurs. Allowing either Blaze or Ketch to become Ghost Rider again. When you take a closer look at their powers, it quickly becomes very clear cut.

You could argue Spawn defeating a particular hellord as possible game changing. Then Ghost Rider easily top that by doing the same exact thing!!! Ghost Rider's motorcycle is very ridiculous. Durability might come off being questionable as shown in Lobo vs Ghost Rider fight. Which I'm a huge fan of that episode as well.

Ghost Rider can instantly bring his motorcycle back like it's nothing. Not to mention, this bike can easily go many times the Speed of Light!!! Spawn lacks anything that remotely comes close to that. Ghost Rider is more prepared for the even crazier situations that could occur in this fight. Simmons simply can only do so much to delay the inevitable.

Even considering Spawn could come back from Hell. Well that still takes some time to happen. Of course, Ghost Rider will be waiting for him to return. Then again he easily could destroy his soul multiple ways. The simple logic Ghost Rider can instantly change strategies on the fly. Simmons can't handle Ghost Rider even if he's given an army of hell spawns.

Another way to look at this is Blaze and Ketch were alive when they both become Ghost Riders. For Simmons, it was in death he became Spawn. I know kinda a mess up logic to throw out in a fight prediction. Ghost Rider simply can counter everything Spawn throws at him. At the same time, Simmons lacks anything major to even harm Ghost Rider at all.

Directly power scaling wise it's not even close. This is just like Goku vs Superman situation. One character in a notably smaller multiverse to another whose in a massive multiverse. It makes sense the character in the bigger multiverse essentially the superior one. Even Rick Sanchez knows this. In the long run, Ghost Rider could end the fight anytime he wants.

Winner: Ghost Rider (Marvel)
