Jack Red presents Resident Evil Comparisons Part 2 (Resident Evil 2 original vs. remake)

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I took a lot of hours to fully experience Resident Evil 2 Remake to the best of my ability. How does this fair against the classic RE2? I am sure many fans are having this debate with their friends & family. Unlike RE1 where I kept going between the two games. I will say this will have a clear winner.

I should mention considering Resident Evil 2 Remake is still a new game. Yes this will have major spoilers. If you don't want to know anything at all just leave.

There were two versions of Resident Evil 2 released on PlayStation 1. The later Dualshock Edition added a new mini game called Extreme Battle mode. Arranged Game that moves some items around but also automatically gives you all the hidden weapons. There was also the thumb stick controls. Twenty one years later, Capcom releases Resident Evil 2 Remake.

To clarify there are major differences between both versions. The newer version has two soundtracks including classic RE2 soundtrack. Originally RE2 was a two disc game having everything but had that character's scenarios on their respective discs. This meant if you wanted to fully experience the game.

You had to get use to swapping discs after a few hours. Thankfully that's not a problem at all in the new version. Obviously the original game had a lot of load screens. Entering doors, climbing ladders or using elevators, your game was loading during each one. There are little to no load times in the remake.

This is a mix for me between on one hand I actually enjoyed watching those classic load screens. But on the other I liked I could do what I needed to do. I could also skip cut scenes to help speed things up. Obviously the newer version has the better voice cast. Although I do like some of the original voices myself.

Both Ben & Chief Irons could die in one or two ways in classic RE2. Either by getting an G-Empyro forced into their bodies or beaten to death with a large pipe. I am amazed Sony allowed both of them to remain in the game. Chief Irons does die by having an G-Empyro inside of him ripping through his guts.

OMG Ben dies a rather violent way that wasn't even in the classic RE2 game. As he was walking to Leon, he backs up to the wall facing his back. Where the tyrant uses his hand crushing the wall to grab Ben's head to crush him to death. I was really caught off guard by such a death. Some of William's boss fights got changed too.

In both games you get to see most of the transformations. For the most part both of them are impressive for their time. I felt some of them are made easier mostly the first two forms. Originally you didn't have a lot of space taking on his first form. Which so happens to be in the same places you would face the G-Type in Scenario A for both characters.

Speaking of G-Type, it isn't a boss in the remake. Instead there's a couple of them in the sewers. Obviously they are in place of the giant spiders. If you never play the first couple RE games. Giant Spiders were one of the first poison enemies. Usually they could be spitting at you. Sometimes this causes you to get poisoned.

I should mention there's no spiders or crows in the remake at all. Some enemies like zombies & lickers had a limited variation of themselves in several areas. To sum it up, for super zombies they would make faster as well as take more ammo like zombie Brad. For super lickers, they are colored differently with very different claws as well as being more aggressive.

Obviously the remake doesn't have those versions of them. There is always a chance in The Ghost Survivors could have them. Originally both characters gets to use all four card suite keys. But in the remake that's where things gets interesting. Leon doesn't get to use the Heart key while it is similar for Club key aka Clover key in Claire's case.

Speaking of Brad, in the remake in 2nd Run early in the run. You need to cut chains off the first door you came by having them to cut em. Go inside the room to find a Brad picture. Some people may get disappointed because it was an optional challenge in the original game. You had to get to the police station without picking up anything.

You have to check the nearby stairs at the station to see if zombie Brad is there or not. If he is you now can pick up what you need. Trust me trying to kill zombie Brad is one of the toughest things to do in earlier portions of the game. If you do succeed, you will be given a special key for a closet in the dark room.

Depending on who you play as Leon gets two alternate outfits. In Claire's case, she gets an outfit as well as a six shooter. By the way the remake does have the secret Rebecca photo. Originally you go up to Wesker's desk where you need to check it fifty times. Then you will get the film to go back to the dark room in order to develop the picture.

It works a little differently in the remake's case, this will be much later in the run. There's a short path in the sewers you go up an elevator. In the room should be that film, you have to obtain the sewer key to be able to go back inside the police station to do the same exact thing. Interesting fact, in RE0 Remastered, one of Rebecca's dlc costumes is the one from that photo.

Only Leon gets to face the giant alligator. Originally Leon or Claire is close by Sherrie or Ada when a giant alligator comes out of no where to attack. You can use your weapons to kill it or knock down an explosive tank. All you have to do is wait then fire just once to blow him up. In the remake's case you are running away while avoiding to get bit possibly eaten.

At the edge, Leon will quickly turn around when the gas lines starts flaming. You just fire once to cause it to exploding killing the creature. I will say the remake's version of that creature to me was more terrifying. Of course I do need to talk about Mr. X himself. Originally he only stalks you in set areas within Scenario B with both characters.

In the remake, the tyrant appears in all four campaigns. In 2nd Run versions, he actually appears sooner. Also he will be stalking you at some set areas but he can still move freely around. There are some places he can't enter like save rooms. In the original game, you can defeat the tyrant. But in the remake, he will bend down to his knees for a little bit before continuing the hunt.

Obviously more than just clothes changed on most characters present. Some of their roles altered to a degree. For example, Chief Irons comes up like you would expect for a police chief. Later on you discover he has been receiving money from Umbrella while doing horrible things. But in the remake, Chief Irons doesn't help any of this at all.

In fact, he kidnaps Sherrie during the campaign. He was terrible to Sherrie at the orphanage as well. Ada originally played herself off to Leon as just some woman. Later on, he discovers she was a spy that was sent to get a sample of the G-Virus. In the remake version, she acts like she's someone in the FBI I'm not kidding.

Even other monsters receive critical differences. In the remake, you can move slowly to avoid lickers but this can take practice to do. The zombie dogs are actually more aggressive in this version too. There are a lot of puzzles in both versions. I am not the expert how I should exactly compare them. You also are more likely to find weapon pieces in the remake.

Originally you would have to know where the upgrades for some weapons are. But you can only upgrade them once while in the remake you can upgrade them a few times. Another major difference is depending on how much damage or getting poisoned. The screen with particular colors will tell you which condition your character is in.

Keep in mind, the closest the original game had to this was Tofu in The Tofu Survivor. I will not be comparing The Tofu Survivor mini games in this blog comparison very sorry in advance folks. Tofu would change colors depending on his condition being a precursor to this feature. In classic RE2, there was more portions you play as both Ada & Sherrie.

They were short, avoiding enemies to getting the Club Key. I loved how RE2 Remake does about both of them. For Ada, her portion is more like a spy. She gets an device to reroute the power in machines. You don't get to deal with many enemies but at one point you have to deal with the tyrant. Sherrie has to attempt escaping from Chief Irons.

This is similar to Bedroom mini game of RE7. Except you don't have to hide how you are escaping. You have to solve a box puzzle that has a random starting order with the same solution. I felt this was way better than her portions in classic RE2 in general. As stated before there's four scenarios you can play.

Both character's 2nd Run versions are noticeably shorter than their first campaigns. This is important because regardless which version you play in classic RE2, it still takes around the same time. Just like classic RE2, 2nd Run starts a shorter path to the police station actually shorter than it originally was. There is another major difference I noticed too.

Originally Leon & Claire would reach the police station around the same time. However in 2nd Run versions that took place sometime after the other character was getting stuff done like opening those one shutters. Marvin is already a zombie in these campaigns. This is interesting because in Scenario B of classic RE2, Marvin isn't present.

In the remake you also can discard stuff when you need to. Originally if you were low on inventory space, you had to go to a nearby inventory box. Yes you can expand it in classic RE2 but it comes with a choice affecting both characters. You could take it leaving the other character an submachine gun or in vice versa.

Thankfully in the remake, you can find additional inventory slots. You could hold several more items than both characters even one with the additional slots combined I'm not kidding. I know I'm going through a lot of differences even more than when I did this with RE1. I will say this is a close one for many great reasons.

Audio wise it is hands down going to be the remake. It does have some good songs in it's newer soundtrack but the classic soundtrack comes with some surprises in this version. I would say the story is told better in the remake as well. Sure the original game had slightly more of a variety in terms of monsters.

Personally I wasn't a fan of spiders as well as crows. Both of them you can easily avoid. It takes some skills to avoid the G-Types in the sewers. I will say zombies are a different ball game in the remake. Originally you had three different types you can run into. As stated earlier there are fewer super zombies.

There are also zombies laying on the ground. Of course there are regular zombies that moves around regardless what you done to them. But in the remake it is recommended to destroy their heads enough to kill them down. Otherwise they will get back up for more. I would say plant-43s to me had the biggest impact on me.

Originally you would need to time avoiding them. Just like the spiders, sometimes they can poison you. But in the newer version if you don't have a defensive weapon it is instant death. Also they looks way scarier in this version too. I would say they improved on many criticisms of the original game. At the same time they nailed doing it modernize.

Clearly Capcom had a lot of passion to make it such a rememberable experience. So which version do I think is better out of the two? After much needed consideration I have to go with the remake. On disc or digitally like me, you will be able to play everything in one place. Yes I am aware some versions of classic RE2 are made like that.

Nintendo 64 & GameCube versions respectively. I will say how revealing Marvin is dead in the classic RE2 to me was scarier. I also liked they actually made some of the puzzles harder in 2nd Run versions. The best possible way to say it as kindly as I possibly could is they took everything I loved about RE2.

At the same time they improved on everything in a way that made it very refreshing. This game really blew my mind possibly more than the classic game. I always will have a place in my heart for both games. But I just felt some things are simply done better in the remake making it a more enjoyable experience overall.

Jack Red reviews Resident Evil 2 Remake

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I loved Resident Evil 2 on PS1 as a kid. A game packed with so much even for a PS1 game. It quickly got me to become a life long fan since first playing it. This game was a master piece that not many people could recreate. Many fans including myself had to wait over twenty years to play it's remake so how does it fair?

Resident Evil 2 is built on the same engine as RE7. I known about this remake for three years. Within that period, many of us wondered if it got canceled or they started development altogether. Which did occur during it's original development. The moment I heard footage of it got shown I was excited. Ever since then the more they confirmed about it, the more I wanted it.

To clarify I do respect Resident Evil Remake but this game is very good. They modernize the classic format in a way that's both nostalgic as well as refreshing. You play as rookie police officer Leon or college student Claire that must survive this viral outbreak in Raccoon City. I made sure to preorder the deluxe edition to get more of a complete experience.

There's four versions of the campaigns you can play with two per a character. I love just like the original game it doesn't matter which order you play. I felt this was done better than RE6. Resident Evil 2 has two soundtracks you can change at any given time. By enabling the classic soundtrack you also get the original narrator with sound effects.

You also can switch your costumes out at any given time similar to how RE0 done it. They did make some improvements over RE7 in many areas. Just like the original game, there are clear differences between all four campaigns. Some enemies like Giant Spiders & Crows are removed from this version.

The enemy AI is easily one of the finest in an Resident Evil game. They took the classic story but also told it better. In fact this version does connect better to some of the later games. You will spend a lot of time inside the police station as you play. Areas like the sewers & the lab are much shorter in comparison.

Ada is given more a spy like game play this time around. She gets to use a device to alter the direction of electricity in machines. Sherrie has more of a stealth direction similar to The Struggle in Revelations 2. You only play as both of them once in those campaigns instead of a few times. Most bosses do make a return with one becoming enemies in the sewers.

They took RE4 style controls as well as camera angle to deliver a surprisingly scary game. The gore alone was among the biggest surprises. The original game was gory for an PS1 game. I am glad they didn't censored or cut it down. Lickers are done amazingly well keeping you on the edge. Let's be honest a lot of you want to know what I do think about the tyrant right?

Mr. X early on gave me a lot of trouble. After reading some tips, I started wearing my headset to listen to him. You can't kill him until his boss fight that only Leon gets to do. You can only stun him but I will say I really like this version of the tyrant. I do love the new versions of these characters in general.

Resident Evil 2 also has several dlc costumes with an extra samurai edge gun from Wesker. If you preodered it, you also get Chris & Jill's guns as well. I felt most dlcs we got so far do spice up the game a lot. I love how they went about the puzzles this time around. For me, RE7 did disappoint me a little bit with it's puzzles because they're too simple.

Some puzzles do take me a little while to figure out. I miss that from my child hood trying to play more of the first two RE games. This game does an amazing job retelling such a great story. I also like most of RE2 got brought back in it's entirely for the most part. I felt this did justice to all of our demands for it.

Honestly I can't name a single negative thing against it. They modernize the classic RE experience perfectly. You do get some check points at several points but mostly you will load back to your previous save. You also can look at in game models and concept art. They deliver on making just one run being satisfying.

Even after playing all four of them, I still want more of it. I feel the complete opposite with RE6. I also like after completing either character's 2nd Run, you can pick them in any order you want. I will say most bosses didn't disappoint. I would say zombies & plant 43s were the most improved enemies. Originally zombies will bleed a pool of blood to confirm they're dead.

You can knife them to death or blow them up. Mostly you have to destroy their heads to kill them. Sometimes they can be confusing if you could avoid them or what no way. I'm sure many of you would agree with me on that. Plant 43s are a huge step up from the classic versions we knew. Not only that appear scarier but they are also instant death enemies.

You could attack them at a distance until they fall down or wait until they grab you. Where you can use one of your defense weapons to save yourself. I do love this concept returns because sometimes you have to move through enemies. I rather be prepare to get grab then press the button or sometimes I run to push them off.

A lot of nostalgic things are represented very well in this game. Even the secret Rebecca photo is still present. I recently seen the Brad Vickers picture only possible through 2nd Run versions. This is not only screaming Resident Evil 2, it's infecting people in such a fast rate like a virus. OMG I didn't think the game would be this damn good.

I should mention some puzzles in 2nd Run are harder. Also the difficulty is higher than the other versions. You are also going to leave the police station much faster. Unfortunately you will run into the Tyrant faster in these versions. I also love there's doors with one of four card suit keys. I do like those symbols gets marked down on your maps.

This game took what I originally loved so much about the classic horror game. At the same time not only raise the bar for video game remakes. It also took such a great story to a totally new level. The controls are in my opinion the best yet. I still can't believe there's little to no load times in this version.

All five forms of William looks more terrifying than they originally did. I do like how some characters differs in this version. Resident Evil 2 nearly took even the later Dualshock Edition to deliver an experience even surpassing it's Dreamcast/N64 ports. This game is a love letter to us fans. I am very glad I preordered this during Christmas.

Why did PlayStation 2 out sold it's competition?

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I will attempt to answer a mystery. How did Sony PlayStation 2 greatly out sold Microsoft, Xbox, Nintendo GameCube & Sega Dreamcast? I was always curious why the gap was so big when in most video game generation it was usually close. I did own all four consoles at one point.

PlayStation 2 sold one fifty five million that was more than it's main competitors combined. I believe there's a lot of great reasons why it did so well. It was the best advertised out of all the consoles. More developers were interested in making games for it. The official library also greatly out numbers it's competition by a huge amount.

Sega Dreamcast got it's US run cut short because Sega was running low on money due to Sega Saturn commercials. They felt they would go out of business sooner if they would've stayed to compete against GameCube & Xbox. Two of Sony's competitors by late in their console's run was already working on their successors.

I am a huge fan of Xbox 360 with an passion. PlayStation 2 had the longest run ending in 2012 in Japan while 2013 in the United States. PlayStation 2 did attempt doing online gaming service. Considering Xbox was already doing that with Xbox Live. Not a lot of people know but GameCube has a select few games with online as well.

Before all of that, Sega Dreamcast beat them all to online gaming. Which led to most newer game consoles doing the same thing. PlayStation 2 had one of the best controllers although it wasn't that different from the previous console. Personally Dreamcast & GameCube had the best overall controllers.

PlayStation 2 also had a smaller, later model that was easier to place wherever you want in your house. None of it's competitors done that. In a lot of cases, PS2 gets a fair number of best versions. This obviously doesn't include games like RE4 despite most later ports do take after that version. Sure it was more powerful than Dreamcast but two of it's competitors had more power in different ways.

I would say all four of them are simply to hook up. Of course if you don't have a proper TV you do need some extra stuff in advance to get them working. PlayStation 2 also had a cleaner in the form of a disc. I would say Sony did an amazing job with their commercials. I think in a way PSP did help a little bit to keep it going.

Despite what that & PS3 started that's still going today doesn't include PS2 directly. Of course some of their PS2 games are on their service that can be played on PS4. This console had an interesting look for it's time. Sure out of the four consoles it is the easiest to break. I hate to say it, this could've been a factor in more people buying it.

Maybe it was because of games like Grand Theft Auto series. PlayStation 2 even competed for a short while against their previous console too. PlayStation 2 has a nostalgic opening that still reminds in my mind to this day. Personally I do prefer Dreamcast & GameCube's opening more. I would say working with your save data was the easiest on PS2.

PlayStation 2 also had a great variety of accessories including Game Shark. Most code books had more pages in general on PS2 than anything else. Some of the finest spin off games are present on PlayStation 2 as well. Such as Resident Evil Outbreak that begin a tread of games going online. Sure you had to know what you are doing with a piece sold separately otherwise you can break your console.

There is a strong chance it sold well because so many people enjoyed PlayStation 1. In fact you could play PS1 games requiring nothing at all on your PS2. A feature lacking during this console generation. All of it's competitors came in different colors while there wasn't as many for PS2. I actually seen more different colors Nintendo 64 consoles.

GameCube did allow you to play Game Boy Advance games to a degree. Some of them unlock stuff for both sides. The perfect example of this are two Metroid games that are from what I heard are great games. Sadly this feature isn't as present in today's market which is a shame. Xbox was easily the heaviest game console by far.

I think because PS2 was slightly lighter than Sega Dreamcast. More people rather move that console around than it's competitors. The fact you can have it laying down or standing up was different for it's time. Now look at so many consoles doing the same exact thing PS2 done many years before. I think another huge reason has to be the shape buttons.

You see it's competitors used letters on almost every button. As stated before PS2 controller wasn't much different from a PS1 one. But the famous saying goes "If it isn't broken don't fit it." works perfectly here. I believe there was a study about people remember shapes easier than letters. Three of these consoles took advantage of the rumble feature.

I felt PS2 & GameCube nailed it the best. Keep in mind, three of those consoles used similar cases for their games. Dreamcast had cases similar to those of PS1. Which would make it the easiest to stock up games on shelves. I think people wanted a bigger case with longer manuals at the time. Even with data corruption being the highest on PS2 it had a lot going for them.

As of right now, PlayStation 2 is the best selling game console of all time. I think a great reason it also sold well was because it was also advertised as a CD/DVD player. At the time it was expansive to buy an DVD player. Right now you can score them dirt cheap thanks to stuff like Blu-Ray players. Only Xbox had that among it's competitors.

Let's be honest a lot of people stock up on DVDs like no tomorrow. You could easily use a PS2 to watch several movies or shows with no problem at all. In fact it is one of the few controllers I tried this on that works perfectly with Xbox 360 being the other successful one. Clearly marketing in more ways than one greatly increased PS2's chances at selling.

I think the best possible way to sum all of this up is in place it fails in it greatly made up for. Sony really put their best foot forward to win another game generation. PlayStation 3 loss to both Xbox 360 & Wii respectively. Right now PlayStation 4 is dominating the newest game generation. Clearly Sony has a very bright future despite pulling away from the handheld console market.

Why I think Resident Evil 3 Remake needs to happen

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, a few hours ago an producer at Capcom was asking fans. Do we want a RE3 Remake? Honestly I think after what we just got. You bet I'm on board for a RE3 Remake to happen. In fact that's exactly why I'm writing this blog. A game that some considers to be the best in some people's eyes.

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis had a difficult development for a few reasons. They were working on a spin off taking place in Raccoon City. They forgot they signed a deal promising Sony about three main RE games on PlayStation 1. This led to the game they were working on to be transformed into the game we know today.

This also led to delaying Resident Evil Code: Veronica for a little while. I believe it was during this period, Sega helped Capcom with programming on their Sega Dreamcast. Resident Evil 3 was ambitious for it's time. The first two Resident Evil games took place in a building connected to several places.

Resident Evil 3 was more let's explore Raccoon City. A concept that hit home with many RE fans. Some concepts like Nemesis stalking you originated in Scenario B of Resident Evil 2. But they improved on it but giving him weapons as well as a smarter AI. This help give us the feeling of actually being stalked in a game.

There was one campaign filled with split decisions that greatly affect the story. This was done due to having more replay value to help make up for not having multiple campaigns to play. Sure they became even more of an action game but it didn't move far away from being survival horror. If anything it still nails that incredibly well.

This also had one of my favorite monster rosters of the entire series. Believe it or not, I'm a huge fan of Hunter Gammas. They're frog creatures that swim in water, run fast & can swallow a person whole. Some of the absolute most challenging puzzles in history of the genre is found here. This was the first RE game to have a lot of costumes.

The fact they nailed exploring a city filled with monsters so well. It possibly led to several spin off games like Outbreak series as well as Operation Raccoon City. Resident Evil 3 brings really pushes gamers hard for those crazy enough to attempt 100% the game. We are talking several playthrough more than the first two games in their entirely combined.

To clarify I am only talking about the campaigns as well as The 4th Survivor. Speaking of mini games, The Mercenaries Operation: Mad Jackal also led to several mini games as well as two games. Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is the closest thing we have for a RE3 Remake. Personally I felt we deserve a true RE3 Remake.

Although the creator of Resident Evil, Shinji Mikami was against called this Resident Evil 3. He still likes the game very much. I do see his point about Code: Veronica being more deserving of RE3. At the same time it didn't change things that much. Both of them followed sometime after each other to positive reviews.

Why I do believe Resident Evil 3 Remake will be a huge success? If you think about it, the upcoming The Ghost Survivors dlc will be it's precursor in many ways. We get to explore Raccoon City on a bigger scale. Some of the scariest monsters in the entire franchise could possibly be scarier. Considering how well Mr. X was updated, Nemesis is going to be a lot more fun.

We could get more modes of play to help with it's replay value. I really would like for them to keep split decisions in the game. This by itself could spice up the game. If they could do some of the stuff RE2 Remake got as dlcs, I would die happy. For example, having the original soundtrack with sound effects would be amazing.

Resident Evil 3 will likely be more horror focus than action like it was in vice versa in it's game play. I strongly felt this will work out perfectly in it's favor. They could have Barry more involved in this version too. I am curious how much Brad's death will be changed. The map system they have right now would work even better than the one it originally had.

Not only that, it is likely going to have more than enough development time to be more of a complete experience. Not that I consider RE3 for being an incomplete game to begin with. I said it since the original development was shorter than they expected. Which was also included in their three game deal.

Interesting unrelated fact, They did sign a few years later a similar deal with Nintendo. They ported RE2, RE3 and Code: Veronica X on Nintendo GameCube. They also had to make three new RE games. By now you should already know the three games by heart. Thankfully they didn't get rushed by Nintendo.

This game was very out there for it's time. There still isn't a lot of horror games similar to RE3. Some of the new moves helps especially against hunters later on. This was originally built on RE2's engine. Proof of this was through Game Shark allowing you to play as RE2 characters including Tofu. I feel like they will make a newer RE Engine just for this game.

The fact there's two mutated insects as well as hunter models that hunts you during the game. Sadly there was only two boss monsters unlike most RE games having a variety. You could face Nemesis so often or when you were forced to. Each major Nemesis boss fight is very different from each other. Grave Digger is one of the first examples of worms in the franchise.

It is a giant mutated worm that does have offsprings. You take it on twice with both boss fights being done differently. I felt they could add so much stuff into this game it's not even funny. We could see more of what Nicholai was doing back the scenes. We could see a more disgusting, disturbing final Nemesis transformation.

It is likely a handful of enemies could be removed. I felt Resident Evil 2 Remake removed the unneeded enemies out of the game. Although RE1 Remake kept all of them while adding Crimson Heads. We already got two amazing remakes that people will remember for a long time. In a way they became the new definitive experience of those classics.

I really wouldn't be surprised if RE3 Remake follows the same direction. This game has so much for them to work with. Simply because it isn't packing as much content as RE2 allowing them more free range in what they could do. I am very sure this Raccoon City will be amazing to look at. This game should be challenging especially those who mastered the original game.

Favorite Resident Evil Mini Games

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I figured while those waiting for my RE2 Remake review. I should make some Resident Evil related blogs that I can do right now. I am making February the Month of Resident Evil. To clarify that's going to be me playing nothing except Resident Evil games for a whole month.

I want to kick things off with talking about some of my favorite Resident Evil mini games. All that's featured in this blog I have played. So if you felt a particular one should be on here. Just remember I had to play it in advance otherwise I'm not considering it. Now I strongly felt RE mini games deserves more respect.

Although I consider extra dlc episodes as mini games for many reasons. I am excluding those to sticking more directly to actual mini games. I do enjoy all of them very much honestly. I just felt I could shine more light on these classics.

1. Jack's 55th Birthday (Resident Evil 7)

There are six levels based on several key locations in the campaign. Your goal is to feed Jack to full as fast as possible. You can get stuff from the inventory box or placed all around the maps. This really pushes you to do better each time. Only the very best are good enough for Class SS rank. I would say this is one of my favorite RE mini games of all time.

2. 21 (Resident Evil 7)

There's three modes of play in 21. This is a twisted take on the classic card game Black Jack. Trust me it quickly gets interesting regardless which mode you are playing. In the main portion you have to survive three different death traps simply by winning a few games of Black Jack. I am a huge fan of this mini game with an passion.

3. Raid Mode (Resident Evil: Revelations 1)

Raid Mode is you can raid for items as well as getting additional points hidden at several locations. Each difficulty has their own campaign of missions to complete. A great selection of characters that will bring something to spice up the game. I would even go as far to say it's actually better than the actual campaign.

4. Raid Mode (Resident Evil: Revelations 2)

Raid Mode is a simulation where you play as an AI program named Cipher. Of course he could appear as other characters in a lot of missions. The list of things to do quickly goes high with this one. There's so much replay value for this mini game that it's mind blowing. I would say the ending portions are more satisfying than the actual campaign's conclusions.

5. The Mercenaries (Resident Evil 4)

Although I picked The Mercenaries United as the best of all The Mercenaries mini games. Even that had problems that makes it difficult for me to come back. Honestly I really enjoyed RE4's take in terms it was simple. You kill enemies for score while collecting timers to increase your time. I also felt it had the best boss selection overall.

6. Leech Hunter (Resident Evil 0)

I always a huge fan of Leech Hunter mini game. You must collect 50 blue & green leeches. You can finish having less than that for other prizes. There's more hunters present in this mode. I strongly felt this was better than the campaign yes even better than Wesker Mode. This will test you in ways you aren't expecting.

7. Extreme Battle mode (Resident Evil 2)

Extreme Battle mode was later added in Dualshock Edition. You start with Leon & Claire but also get Ada as well as RE1's Chris Redfield. There is three difficulties you can play. The first couple of levels is reach the end. The final level is collect all the anti-virus bombs. Some boss monsters are present especially on harder difficulties.

8. Battle Game (Resident Evil Code: Veronica X)
Battle Game has two versions of Claire, Steve, Chris and fan favorite Wesker. Each character has a different boss waiting for them at the end. There's two point of views you could play. I don't recommend first person view since they still had to figure it out at the time. It's still better than Resident Evil Survivor.

Update on Resident Evil 2 Remake review

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I been playing Resident Evil 2 Remake. I won't say much how I feel about it for two reasons. I am going to be reviewing it in the near future. I also made another promise relating to RE2 in particular. Going back to my RE1 comparison blog, I promised to do an RE2 comparison blog.

Which means you are actually going to have two blogs centered around Resident Evil 2 coming very soon. This game not only blew my expectations it raise them to a totally new level. I never had a game at the top of my list for several years until this one. I finished Leon first then went into Claire's 2nd Run.

As of a few hours ago, I finished Claire's 2nd Run. I am trying to finish The 4th Survivor before this Tuesday. I got some stuff entertainment wise I need to watch. I should be doing Claire first then Leon's 2nd Run this upcoming week. If it all works out hopefully by the weekend. I can work on both of those blogs.

I will say a few things about RE2 before I end this. This is done very differently from some video game remakes like Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. Even you played the original game's four scenarios like no tomorrow. It won't help you much playing this version. In terms of everything I would score it as 9.5 with little to no major problems hurting it.

I will be emotional reviewing this version for many reasons. I really want to take my time playing it while taking several notes in my head. This game showed us now is the time to enjoy survival horror. It also showed many people they still got it despite making several RE games away from horror. Resident Evil will be the king of survival horror games.

Update: I got a busy week ahead so during the following week I will review it. I did however do Claire's 1st campaign. Prior to taking a week break getting other stuff done. So you don't have to wait much longer after I resume the game. I can only hope I can finish The 4th Survivor in time for this review. I know I am sending mixed messages I apologize but there's now a date on both free dlcs in early February.

Update: As of January 29th in the morning, I finally beat The 4th Survivor mode. I just have Leon's 2nd Run to do before I can get started. I really wanted to take everything in for what it truly is.

Raid Mode (Revelations 2) on Very Hard difficulty with every medal

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I figured since YouTube is ending auto share to make this quick blog. Earlier today, I finally did something I always wanted to do during live streams. I done a two part playthrough of Raid Mode (Revelations 2) on Very Hard difficulty getting every medal. Trust me I am not cheating or holding back at all.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyGuM-EPDGhXUh69vhMHv6GVJFumCZ1Ea

I already made a playlist making it easier to watch it the way I intended. I am so ready to play Resident Evil 2 very soon. I wanted to show much how this franchise truly meant to me. After all of these years ever since the late 90s. I had plenty of experience from Steam version that quickly came over Xbox One version.

I thought there was no character more fitting to do than the legendary Umbrella mercenary Hunk. We all know he's returning in RE2 remake. I always respected the guy despite so little known of him. I hope anyone that watches my run enjoys it. If all or some of it helps you on that difficulty. I am very glad to help you out.

Obviously I chose a more aggressive in your face approach than the quiet slow direction. Which to me was kinda boring to do anyway. I am very proud of the run I done today. I been hiding some of my true skills on purpose for many reasons. Not a lot of games I can show what I can truly do. It's rather confusing to explain but Tekken 7 is a great example of what I'm talking about.

Resident Evil a Sweet Home Legacy

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red, we are getting closer to Resident Evil 2 remake. Considering so many of us are feeling very strong nostalgia for it. Why not go a step further like what I'm doing here. By now everyone knows Resident Evil is the spiritual successor to Famicom exclusive movie game. Sweet Home hit the console market the same day the movie hit theaters in Japan.

I figured to point out several ways Resident Evil is keeping the spirit of Sweet Home alone. Of course there are a lot of different opinions on the topic. Personally we would never had Resident Evil franchise without that game period. I believe it deserves just as much respect as RE1 been getting from people.

1. Movies

Both Sweet Home & Resident Evil got movies. For the most part the reception of the respective games is much higher among people. Sweet Home game follows the same plot as the movie it's based on but added a lot of nice touches. At one point RE1 was going to be a remake of Sweet Home. I would say you should check out Sweet Home movie.

2. Monsters

Resident Evil kept the spirit of several creatures found in this game alive. For example, you do have to battle worms. Mostly early RE had several worm based creatures. Every main RE game has a dog enemy among the roster. All of that started in truth with Sweet Home. Even the main antagonist in some way lives on in many antagonists of Resident Evil franchise.

3. Major game play mechanics

Most notable traits of playable characters from Sweet Home lives on in several RE characters. Some characters had or have to get a lighter. Rebecca was the medic of S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team. Even someone with keys to most doors lives in Jill Valentine. The famous door loading screens are nostalgic for their times.

In RE0, you have to switch between two characters to get further at several points. Just like Sweet Home done with five characters. When you get cursed, it is basically the same as getting poisoned in an RE game. You have to solve puzzles which some require memorizing or avoiding traps altogether. In RE1, you are exploring the Spencer mansion in a similar setting to that of Sweet Home.

In most RE games, you have to work with a limited inventory. Sure some of them had different ways of fixing that. Sweet Home did officially start the tread in the first place. You could do a lot in several hours until you die. In most RE games. even one character dies goes to game over screen. Although all five of them in Sweet Home has to die before that happens.

Speaking of deaths, Resident Evil has a long colorful history of those. Some of the most violent deaths in any video game that wasn't Mortal Kombat series. Even Sweet Home on an Japanese Nintendo console didn't hold back from the insane level of gore. Sure there's mostly one death animation in Sweet Home but it still puts chills down your spines.

4. Leveling

Believe it or not, some RE games do have a leveling/upgrade system. Although some are done differently, you do gain from doing so. Sweet Home was a survival horror RPG game to begin with. In some RE games, there was a mini game with a leveling system like both Raid Mode mini games. Upgrading weapons with other gear can make a huge difference especially in Revelations 2.

5. Resident Evil games on Nintendo consoles

There's a lot of Resident Evil games on Nintendo consoles. At one point I had all five Wii games. I almost had all six GameCube games just missing Code: Veronica X. Even to this day, Resident Evil is bringing some of their games to Nintendo Switch. Just think Sweet Home on Famicom indirectly started that.

Another quick update

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I got a lot to talk about in this update blog than the previous one. Honestly I knew I was going to be taking awhile on some of my bigger blog projects. At the same time I'm surprised at my process on some of them. I will be going in full details without ruining all related topics.

This following update will not be getting it's own blog entry. For Christmas, I got PlayStation 4 with several games. I did talk a little about this already. I figured the cat is already out of the bag. I might as well talk about my little time playing it. Honestly I would say it's way better than PS3 while holding it's own against PS2.

1. Mega Man series update

I finished most of Mega Man X games. Yes I did use rookie hunter mode sue me. I will try replaying as much as I can without that enable. I have the first three Mega Man X games left to complete. I will say I will be giving two solid positive reviews even with some of their flaws. As for Mega Man classic series, I finished the first two Mega Man games on Xbox One.

A few months ago, I also own both those compilations on Steam. I did finish Mega Man 10 while very close of finishing Mega Man 9. I do have a lot to talk about for all four Mega Man compilations. I will say I do enjoy most of these games. I actually got a lot of interest playing Mega Man 11. I am really hoping for Mega Man X9 to happen soon.

2. Resident Evil 2 review

This Friday, Resident Evil 2 remake will be out. I will also be talking about the dlcs you can get with Deluxe Edition or at a later time separately. You will get three different former S.T.A.R.S. issued handguns. You also get five costumes not counting the retro costume since you have to beat the game for those.

By now a lot of you know The 4th Survivor with it's parody The Tofu Survivor are returning. Over the years, Capcom kept making references to both characters. For me the biggest surprise was residentevil.net support. For most supported games, it does give you more reason to care about the overall experience.

I am actually curious to see what that will bring for Resident Evil 2. Also included in Deluxe Edition is easily what I'm considering as my favorite Resident Evil dlc to date. You can also play with the original soundtrack. I found out a few weeks by enabling it, classic RE2 sound effects are also present.

Let's be honest I really do think this is going to be one of the absolute best Resident Evil games ever made. Even if it turns out to be a disappointment, it still will be better than a lot of okay to bad RE games. Also I still wouldn't feel disappointed in preordering it regardless. The original game was ultimately got me to be a life long fan of the franchise.

Update: As of January 22nd, Capcom confirmed two free dlcs coming within the next few months. Ghost Survivors will have two playable characters similar to Extreme Battle mode in three parts. Thus taking a page from Revelations 2. The other dlc is polygon mode where you can play as retro PS1 Leon & Claire in the game.

I have officially decide to make my review of Resident Evil 2 remake in two parts. Most of it will be part 1 likely coming soon. Part 2 will be me covering those dlcs in a few months. But you have my word I want to explore as much of it as humanly possible. I really can't wait to play this amazing game especially after seeing a lot of great reviews.

3. The Disney Afternoon Collection review with DuckTales: Remastered review

This may come as a huge surprise for people. I haven't watched any of these cartoons. Well a slight chance on Darkwing Duck but that would be the closest one back in the day. I already played through DuckTales: Remastered a few months before getting The Disney Afternoon Collection. I figured why not do both of them in the same blog.

Disney did play a role in my child hood not as much as my wife but enough for me to show them respect. Except for those live action remakes. Yes I am looking at Aladdin & The Lion King among a several others. I am aware The Disney Afternoon Collection has six NES games. I already finished Darkwing Duck prior to writing this.

I do plan on playing all six of them while trying out the other modes. I will say I'm very happy with getting both of those. I also own Castle of Illusion remake on Steam but I hope in the near future I can get it for Xbox One. I want as much as Sega & Capcom on my Xbox One as humanly possible. I will say right off the bat, I love Darkwing Duck game.

4. Gotham final review/comparisons

I already know I stated I'm going to finish my review officially of Gotham. There is a few key things I do need to clear up first. Yes most character comparisons I done will be finalized in the same upcoming blog. Which brings me to my biggest reason for even including Gotham update. It turns out Jeremiah isn't The Joker either.

There is some information about a third Joker character. Who will appear during the final episode. There's a rumor stating only once during that episode Gotham will be allowed to say The Joker. As much I want to rip into them over the Joker issue. I am rather curious about this third mysterious character.

We also know he will be played by the same guy who played the twins also not being related. Just imagine how ridiculous it would be if they all were related lol. In a way I get it, this is an origin story of Batman. They wanted to truly build up the legacy of The Joker by having similar people inspiring him to do his work.

Bane will be one of the final characters added to the show as well. Personally he could've appeared in a special that would continue sometime after the show happened if the demand was big enough. The fact they're trying to get him in so late in the show's run will likely hurt him in comparisons with Tom Hardy's take in Dark Knight Rises.

The Joker issue sorta plays in two major ways in my mind. There's a lot of respect for him despite bot fully allowed to use the character. At the same time I'm also thinking you are going to possibly give someone like The Joker a very late appearance just like Birds of Prey done many years before. To me, The Joker is one of my absolute favorite comic book villains.

I believe the character truly deserves more respect than that. I will say this no surprise to anyone else. I still think even after seeing this third character, I would say Jerome is easily my favorite. Sure he lacks a lot of critical traits of the character. But he is still based on him in other ways that not a lot of people realize.

In fact, right now a lot of people still think Jerome is The Joker I'm not kidding. To me, he was very entertaining to what he brought to the table. Sure I did give the win to Romero for a few reasons. I will say Jeremiah is playing a deadly game. I can't way to see his final scene that's being confirmed to be the stuff of nightmares.

All Capcom Games I Want on Xbox One so far Part 3

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, it's been awhile since I did one of these. Honestly this is going to be an over whelming in it's own right. I got a lot of Capcom games during Christmas I really wanted to share. Considering RE2 is almost here I will be kicking things off with that. Beyond there I wonder how surprise a lot of you will be.

1. Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition

2. Devil May Cry HD Collection (3 games)

3. Strider

4. The Disney Afternoon Collection (6 games)

5. Mega Man Legacy Collection (6 games)

6. Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 (4 games)

I really did have a Capcom Christmas guys. I couldn't be any happier spending a lot of money just on their products. I also hope more people feel the same way I do.

Jack Red reviews Dead Rising 2: Case Zero & Case West

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I think I held off long enough. I been meaning to get the last two Dead Rising reviews for some time. Obviously you must be playing on Xbox consoles in order to play these. Both of these following games connects to some way to Dead Rising 2 hints why they share the title.

1. Dead Rising 2: Case Zero

Originally if you level up to level five you can start Dead Rising 2 from there instead of level one. This doesn't work on the remastered version on Xbox One I know I tried it myself. This is a short game in between Dead Rising 1 and 2 basically Dead Rising 1.5 as you well. You play as Chuck Greene putting a new bike together to escape the small town with your daughter.

There are some clear differences from the other games. The biggest has to be instead of answering your walkie talkie. A survivor named Bob will act as that's game quest system. Yes you can save him if everyone else first. Then you must get his daughter to him before bringing both of them back. Yes there's multiple endings just like you normally expect for an Dead Rising game.

Despite being a short game it does hold up amazingly well. I felt for such a small game it felt just like the bigger ones. There is only one boss character you can face. Trust me this guy is difficult to take down. You also can save an old man that acts this game's merchant taking a page from Wii remake of Dead Rising 1.

Just not as amazing as that although it later got used in both versions of Dead Rising 2. I would say this is the easiest Dead Rising to get every achievement in. Dead Rising 2: Case Zero does such a great job selling you to play Dead Rising 2. This game is dirt cheap, there's absolutely no excuse to not pick this one up.

2. Dead Rising 2: Case West

Dead Rising 2: Case West is in truth the remaining portion of the true ending. For those that don't know the true ending so happens to be Ending A. This quickly follows the conclusion of Dead Rising 2 at a nearby facility. Chuck & Frank must work together to stop this mysterious organization. Surprisingly there isn't as much freedom as the other Dead Rising games found here.

The cool thing about this game is some of the newer combo weapons later appears in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. Unlike Case Zero, you can take pictures regardless of which character you're playing as. Sadly only through multiplayer you can play as Frank West. There's only one boss fight again but it's one of the best final bosses in any Dead Rising game.

You can actually dress up as Dr. Wily from Mega Man series. Unlike previous Mega Man costumes, it's just a costume here. I felt Case Zero had a bigger map out of the two. Also this game is a little more strict on completing missions within the time limit. Both their time limits are one hour real time.

Prior to this you could have six to eight hours in Dead Rising 1 & 2. Sadly there isn't multiple endings which to me was weird for an Dead Rising game. The so called bad ending only plays when you die or run out of time or fail before you get the option to start over or go right back to where you were.

I do feel like this is still more fun than most of DR4. The achievements are fun for the most part. There's still confusion of making several combo weapons achievement. Case West does do a great job with the two characters interacting with each other. I should mention unlike most of them your leveling starts at level 45.

I know confusing right but you only go up five levels just like Case Zero. No they didn't do the same feature Case Zero done to make things even easier. Personally if they had done that I would've criticize it heavily. This game directly led to Dead Rising 3 despite a few years later. I would say this is alright for an Dead Rising game.

Top 10 Reasons Why I Love Resident Evil Series

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, this has been a very long time coming. I wasn't sure how exactly to go about something like this. Until very recently after working on my thoughts on two Capcom demos. Resident Evil series is one of my personal favorite game franchises to date. I currently own eight RE games with every dlc while waiting for Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition to come out.

I figured what better way displaying my passion for this franchise then making a list. I completed a lot of reasons to barely make ten solid reasons. Honestly I am very honored to make this for fellow RE fans. Especially those that been fans since the original. I will be dying happy after I play RE2 remake.

10. Even in different genres does well enough

For a short while some of the main RE games became more action than survival horror games. They sure did try several genres in spin off side of things. Resident Evil Survivor 2: Code Veronica is an alternative take of that game released in arcades later ported to PS2 in Japan. It took Resident Evil several years to nail FPS style.

Personally I had more fun with Chronicles series over the entirely of RE7. Even Outbreak series was a different kind of beast. The mobile games are very different from most well known releases. Resident Evil Gaiden tried several things while on Game Boy Color. Resident Evil is willing to adapt to survive.

9. Some monsters you won't see anywhere else

This is especially more true now than in the older entries. They used to be hunter type creatures stalking you. Several tyrant models trying to kill you at the worst possible time. William & Curtis went through several transformations while infected with the G-Virus. Some of the later viruses became highly mutation allowing the infected to become something worse.

In Revelations, there is T-Abyss Virus created basically for infecting the water supplies. There really is no safe place on the planet anymore. You thought something like an Metal Gear was bad enough, the body count is much higher here. Even in RE6, several countries got infected with the C-Virus being the biggest viral outbreak in history.

8. For the most part does well with dlcs

Some companies coughs Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, Street Fighter and a few others are terrible with dlcs. There I had the balls to say it publicly here for the world to see. At least some of them like Mortal Kombat does a later edition having most dlcs included at a great price. Story wise has been great stuff like more recently End of Zoe.

Even some of RE7's mini games are a lot of fun to replay. Resident Evil 5 has one of the best uses of dlcs in the entire franchise. I felt most of it was much needed that made the game even better. Also some weapons get added to Raid Mode of both Revelations games. Some RE games does have a later deal helping you getting the complete experience.

7. Stands as one of the best examples of an video game franchise
There were a few times Resident Evil appeared in comics. There's two different book series that are their own canon technically. Not too long ago I talked about the live action Resident Evil movies. There is also a ride in Japan that had a short film. Three animated films all starring Leon S. Kennedy that do bridge into the main game story line.

In Trick'N Snowboarder, Leon, Claire and some zombies from RE2 cameos as hidden playable characters. A lot of newer horror games are trying to be like Resident Evil in some way. They even crossed over with Left 4 Dead 2 both ways. Resident Evil is one of Capcom's biggest money earners out of all their franchises.

6. Even bad Resident Evil games has interesting development stories
Resident Evil Survivor was originally created to answer a question they used to get a lot from fans. At one point the original Resident Evil was going to be in FPS instead of what it is today. They attempted to do what they could at the time with that concept. Obviously it stands as one of the most hated/ignored entries in the franchise.

In the case of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City & Resident Evil Gaiden. They used a different team from theirs. One of them was known for making SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALS games. They had no real experience making a horror game. There is little known about the team that worked on Gaiden.

5. Inspired by several horror movies

The first Resident Evil took from George A. Romero's zombie movies and several sci fi monsters. We have giant spiders in several areas. Yawn whose a giant poisonous snake who could've been the reason behind so many giant snake movies. There are several movies with mixing up DNA of living creatures.

To some degree Resident Evil was widely stated to be inspired by Sweet Home game. This technically would also mean the movie had to be influence as well. Resident Evil also has flying enemies like crows & bats. In the sewers of RE2, there's a giant alligator. They even had an G creature bursting out of someone's chest in one of the cut scenes similar to Alien franchise.

4. Mostly nails coop game play

Outbreak series was the beginning of future RE coop experience. Sure back then you couldn't directly talk to you while playing unless you had them on the phone. A lot of those problems got fixed in later RE games that has coop. In fact greatly due to this, Resident Evil 5 broke RE2's long standing record for best sold game in the franchise.

In some cases it just more fun to play with someone else. For example you could be low on ammo but close of beating the game. Instead of chancing it on yourself, you could go online to get someone to help you out. There's a famous golden egg trick involving this too. Even in some modes like Raid Mode, it is more fun to have someone else with you.

3. Mini games

I always praise most RE mini games. I already did my top picks in another blog. Let's be honest sometimes you need a break from the campaigns. In a good number of them there are mini games that will test you in different ways. I am a huge fan of 21 from Resident Evil 7. I also really enjoyed Jack's 55th Birthday mini game.

I always been a huge fan of Leech Hunter. I actually think this forces you to think more on the fly than the actual campaign does. You can't drop any leeches you collected with a very limited inventory slots. Even The Mercenaries can be fun once in a while. I really do enjoy playing Raid Mode of Revelations 2.

2. Very replayable games

Even since the beginning, this franchise had a very strong replayable. Even if we limited it to one platform of your choice including a select few to only have one RE game. You still got a lot of replayable value for the most part. There's so many unlockables to keep you busy from months to maybe years I'm not kidding.

You can unlock different costumes to wear in the campaign. You can unlock characters in some of the mini games. There is so many possibilities to keep bringing you back. In Code: Veronica X, you can choose to play Battle Mode in one of two different point of views. Of course some of the hidden weapons makes replaying them a lot more fun.

1. In older games I feel like I have to defend myself way more often
I don't feel like a lot of newer RE fans will like this being my number 1 reason. Just remember this is my list thus whatever I say or do goes here. If you are simply not happy with my choices. Instead of trying to put on a show why don't you go make your list please. Personally I always had strong nostalgia.

You had to take chances hoping to not die. Back then you had to collect ink ribbons that tells you how many times you could save up to. Obviously more recently you get infinite chances with a checkpoint system. Back in the day if you die especially after doing a lot without saving. It is almost the same sometimes as starting over I'm not kidding.

In fact we went several years without getting poisoned. Back then you better hope you can find a blue herb before your character dies. Depending how long you been poisoned for determines how much overall damage you took. It is possible to barely survive on danger level. You had inventory boxes to help make up for a smaller inventory your characters holds.

Sure this was recently brought back by RE7 & more recently RE2 remake. But I highly doubt it will come off the same way. Remember back when you had to directly carry key items while having your guns & ammo too? Yeah ever since RE4, the knife for the most part acts separate from that. Key items are automatically given a different slot altogether making the overall process a lot easier.

Honestly I kinda prefer the challenge of carrying what I mean with the stronger possibility of dying over some of the newer RE games. The entire point I'm saying is sure it made things tougher possibly more tedious. At the same time to me it came off as being more rewarding in the end. You don't even have to fight some bosses if you know how to.

My thoughts on RE2 demo & Devil May Cry 5 demo

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I figured to do something I don't usually do. I will be telling my thoughts on two Capcom game demos in one blog. I realized now would be the perfect time to cover it. I will start with the one more people want to hear first. It should be obviously by now I'm going to talk about Resident Evil 2 demo.

Resident Evil 2 demo

The controls was spot on I was getting very use to it. Sadly I didn't get to do much in the actual demo. Probably the most note worthy thing I found was the spade key. This game runs even smoother than RE7 I'm not kidding. There is no load times at all during the game. I was very impressed with everything present here.

Sure it sucks you only have thirty minutes. At the same time I was already way beyond sold on it. If there was a word that would be beyond even that I would like to know what it is. I was very excited to play it early in the morning. I really can not wait to play the full game very soon. I can safety say if RE3 remake is being done this way.

I hope I can preorder that too in the near future. I have a strong personal connection to RE2 since my child hood. I actually think this will be one of the absolute best on all platforms. This game is going to blow so many people away especially those who still playing the original game. Of course we already got one great remake before but it is nice to have another great RE game.

Devil May Cry 5 demo

Unlike RE2 demo, after you get it. You can replay it as much as you want. To me parts of the game play came off like DmC. It actually felt more like that than the main series which I don't mine much. I felt the game does look good with some great songs. It does seem to have audio needs to be better tone. Of course this is a piece of the puzzle meaning it shouldn't be a problem in the full game.

Devil May Cry 5 you play as Nero with a new mechanic due to having his arm ripped off prior. He must gather several robotic arms placed around the level. The boss fight wasn't too bad for what it was. I felt they could've made the demo a little bit longer. Although it's still a great beginner entry point.

As of right now three characters will be playable. Sure there are rumors of more playable characters. Honestly I am just happy what I get in the end. Hell it won't piss me off if Vergil isn't in this game at all. I can't wait to see what DMC5 will be bringing to the table. I am damn sure it will be much better than DMC2.

Death Battle Fight Prediction: Duke Nukem vs. Serious Sam

Special thanks to Simoun O'Brien

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, here's a fight for the longest time I personally didn't want to see. More recently around a few months ago, all of that changed. Now I really would love to see Death Battle do this fight. Two legendary FPS heroes that can handle armies mostly on their own. Sure it's another original vs. rip off fight but it will be one of the craziest in that regard.

Duke Nukem

No no not that Duke Nukem, this Duke Nukem!!!

Duke Nukem took on Dr. Proton's robot army and two alien armies to protect Earth. This guy did enough damage to force the aliens to come back a little over a decade to attempt finishing the job. By this point, Duke has become a huge celebrity with many things under his ownership. Duke is a man you really do not want to piss off.

Serious Sam

Sam Stone better known as Serious Sam takes on the Mental's army. Virtually endless amount of alien creatures that are more attack than think of strategies. At one point, Serious Sam was the only human left standing against such a threat. Trust me when I said you never heard of an army this mess up in your entire life.

Weaknesses
Duke Nukem

Duke is known to be arrogant to a fault. He doesn't take orders well from anyone else except the general. He really doesn't like having his babes getting kidnapped by aliens. Let's be honest Duke is a big pervert. He goes in usually without much of a plan. Some of his own weapons can do fatal damage to himself if he isn't careful.

Serious Sam

Serious Sam can be arrogant to a degree. He prefers blowing stuff up than to figure out a complex puzzle. Even he states how much he loves them lol. You will be very surprised he doesn't get much time to himself since going back in the past. Technically speaking he should be already pushing his limits from the constantly waves of enemies.

Verdict

Before Duke fans gets upset please try listening to why I'm picking Serious Sam first. Obviously I did leave out weapons for both characters could use in a fight. Honestly it wouldn't even matter because even giving Duke his best arsenal set. Let's face it, the man is really out gunned here. I mean come on, Serious Sam has more variety of weapon classes alone.

For example, Duke uses mighty foot while Sam could use his knife or chainsaw. Even in a shotgun to explosive battle, Sam still has the advantages. Hell some of the weapons has a very high ammo amount greatly trumping Duke's entire arsenal. Non canon side of things, Sure Duke does have a slightly better shot at winning.

Until you play Serious Sam Double D or it's updated version Double D XXL. Where Sam can wield six weapons at once. Yes you can have multiple of the same weapons. The fact Sam has that non canon would make this fight even more not fair. Sam also can get golden weapons to greatly reduces Duke's chances of winning.

Trust me even defeating a brain washed Santa Claus won't help him here. Duke does get breaks in between the main games. In fact both Duke Nukem Forever & the fifth episode of Duke 3D. He had several years to do what he wants until the aliens returned. Sadly Serious Sam never got a solid break in the distant past.

At first this sounds like Duke could take advantage of. However this really isn't the case at all. This guy held his own against massive hordes of enemies with possibly thousands in the body counts alone. Which easily trumps the combine armies Duke himself took down. Also two of them at one point was fighting each other while trying to hunt Duke down.

Obviously Duke is facing smarter overall enemies while most of Serious Sam's are mindless creatures. Despite this, Sam did take down some of Mental's greatest allies. All of them commanded a lot of his army with some form of intelligence. In fact they all had centuries of a few thousand years under their belt. Sam has a stronger track record of defeating giant creatures.

The biggest Duke has taken down in canon was Alien Empress. It even states in the dlc campaign, if she gives birth. The alien will have enough in numbers to wipe out the rest of humanity. Essentially this was the alien of the highest order. Sure Duke had to rely on a moon vehicle for a good amount of it.

Serious Sam has defeated most of them on a regular basis to begin with. Most giant bosses he took down without having much at all. A great example is both of them had a giant alien spacecraft boss fight. Duke relied heavily on turrets while Sam had just enough ammo to take one down. Keep in mind he stayed on the ground while Duke was high up on an building.

Power ups wise this is no contest folks. Even the best of Duke's simply can not compare with what Sam does. He could become temporary invisible or invulnerable. Duke wouldn't have much counters for either. By default, Sam moves faster than Duke using steroids. So when he gets Serious Speed, he becomes too fast for Duke to come up with.

I should mention Sam is ultimately taking on a god. Duke never faced anything similar to that. In fact most of Sam's enemies would be a new ball game for Duke while most of Duke's enemies are similar to his own. For crying out loud, Sam has to stay on top of kamikazes that usually come in big numbers trying to blow him up.

He can faces ramming animals that doesn't slow down much even running into a wall. I didn't even talk about their respective game changer weapons yet. For Duke, his greatest chances of winning is using either Shrinker or the Expander. He only needs one shot with Shrinker to shrink Sam down to being stomp on.

Even if Sam were to take a hit I'm positive he can fight Duke off long enough to return to normal size. The real question is constantly how fast the Expander fires. Could Sam move fast enough to avoid too much exposure to causing him to grow too big to explode? I believe the answer is a solid yes he can.

On Sam's side of things there's the Cannon. Sam's answer to weapons like Doomguy's BFG I'm really not kidding. Sure it doesn't look like much but this thing can guarantee wiping out an massive horde of enemies in record time within a few shots. Yes the cannon balls sometimes explodes doing damage to enemies.

The last major reason Sam would win this fight should've been obvious by now. His driven allows him to adapt to any situation much faster than Duke does. As stated before he kept facing hordes of enemies with little to no break ever since arriving in the past. Duke only time traveled in canon to the future to stop Dr. Proton.

Obviously facing in the past greatly affects time way more than fighting in the future. A perfect example of Sam winning this has to be taking on Mental's home. He took on a ridiculous amount of enemies before facing Mental inside his home turned into a gigantic tank. This alone throws even the best Duke feats away alone.

In short, Sam has more of most weapon classes. He has defeated way more enemies than Duke does and simply more adaptable in an intense combat situation overall. I do respect both characters with an passion now. I got to be honest this will still be fun to watch but quickly becomes a stomp of a fight. Regardless it better be done in 3D.

Winner: Serious Sam
