Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, by now already leaked that the season finale this year for Death Battle will be a very big requested fight. I am talking about Thanos vs. Darkseid possibly one of the most epic battles ever. Two comic book villain counterparts that can virtually do anything. I can't think of a better fight with both characters myself.
If you want to know some of their feats before reading on. Don't worry I will link you some good stuff. I already did a video prediction a few years ago but my opinion has changed since then. So in a way I'm competing against myself for a chance. Also I am doing something a little different for a bigger impact.

Darkseid
Darkseid is one of the New Gods that are rather unique in many ways. In many canons he already was the way we know him. In New 52, he tricks several gods into attacking each other for him to steal their powers. A common enemy of both Superman and the entire Justice League. Easily one of the most powerful beings in the entire DC multiverse.
Thanos
Thanos was one of the last of his kind that so happens to be a mutant. From his mutation his physical stats are higher than most of his kind. He fell in love with one of the deadliest entities there is named Death. A good amount of things Thanos has done was to impress Death. Of course by now everyone heard about his usage of the infinity gauntlet.

-It is possible the Infinity Gauntlet & Heart of the Universe may not work
-Less powers while sharing a large number of them won't help much
-Like many beings, Thanos does have clear limits despite being very high
-Won't be able to counter or survive the Omega Beam from erasing him from existence
-Not as good with Matter Manipulation as Darkseid
-Considering Darkseid can exist outside space & time, two of the Infinity Gems won't work on him
-Isn't use to someone moving that fast in reflexes
-Outside those artifacts, God Darkseid will wipe him out of existence
Verdict
Before anyone takes this the wrong way. I would like to give thanks to a friend that really tried taking my decision on this particular fight. The same guy told me a great deal about Doctor Fate. Regardless we are all in for one truly epic showdown. Two tyrants widely feared across their respective multiverses.
I honestly had a difficult time deciding whose more likely to come out on top. Then thanks to some of DanCo's videos I quickly came up with a solution. I will name some similar feats both of them has done. After that I'll tell you which one was more impressive to me in the long run. Thanos took on a lot of people during his time wielding the Infinity Gauntlet.
This is the same story for Death killed half the entire universe's population through this artifact. A lot of big name characters tried their best to stop Thanos. In comparison, Darkseid has defeated the entire Justice League on his own before. A feat not as common as you think. Thanos held his own against Odin & Galactus to only lose shortly afterwards.
Darkseid was capable of defeating beings like the Anti-Monitor on his own. Although in his fight against Galactus, Thanos did sent him flying with a blast. Basically a lot of Thanos' greatest feats involves the usage of the Infinity Gauntlet & Heart of the Universe. In vice versa, Darkseid did similar things on his own.
Darkseid has a better track record against many god characters as well as characters similar to gods like Superman. Speaking of the Man of Steel, not a lot of people outside the comic books knows this. A good number of their battles Darkseid won. Superman is easily one of the absolute most powerful comic book heroes in existence.
I should mention Darkseid did crush the toughest metal in the entire universe effortlessly in one hand. Obviously both of them are way beyond 100+ ton class. For comic book fans this means both of them are among the physically strongest. After looking at a lot of feats for both characters. I noticed Thanos did noticeably struggle in doing some of them.
However Darkseid did most of them with little to no problem. Sure Thanos has some form of regeneration but Darkseid does have superior durability. Even if Thanos were to destroy him, one of three things were likely to happen. I will try to clarify them as much as I possibly can.
1. Darkseid instantly creates a new avatar like nothing happened
2. The god Darkseid quickly takes Thanos out
3. Darkseid by thinking it erases Thanos from existence
Regardless which one of these possibilities happens, Thanos can't prevent any of them from happening. Darkseid has two clear ways of erasing people from existence. He fires his Omega Beams that has several possible effects depending what Darkseid wants. As stated a little while can simply erase him by thinking it.
Darkseid can alter his size to whatever he wants. In some fights, he becomes a giant with both his strength & durability notably increased. Let's be honest Thor & Hulk are both truly amazing powerhouses. But compared to Superman, both of them are much weaker. Yes I know Thanos quickly takes both of them out with ease.
Just imagine if Thanos had to take on Superman for a change. Now I would pay to see those two going at it. Thanos does have access to mental attacks. Darkseid in a few occasions controlled a few planet's population. He did one at a time but still most telepathy characters in both universes can't do that.
Also Darkseid has immunity to such attacks. In the other hand, Thanos will still be vulnerable to Darkseid's. As stated earlier on, both of them sharing a lot of the same powers. Darkseid is used to what Thanos likely to dish out while not so much in comparison. Thanos held his own against The Avengers without the Infinity Gauntlet but eventually he loss that fight.
Now before anyone freaks the hell out. I recently learned about King Thanos whose one of the most powerful versions. For those that don't know this is future Thanos that worked with his younger self. In this same story arc, even beings as powerful as the Living Tribunal loss to him. At the end of it, King Thanos loss to his younger self.
In a way this is a very impressive feat however among further looking into it. King Thanos wanted to lose as well to die. Therefore he didn't actually put up his best effort against himself. Keep in mind, King Thanos easily killed Galactus whose the host of cosmic energy. The same energy Mister Fantastic stated to be the best energy of the Marvel universe.
I doubt non canon would change much for several reasons. In a non canon story, Thanos got the Heart of the Universe. Before I continue imagine the Infinity Gauntlet being even more ridiculous. This thing instantly makes the user into a very insanely god being. In fact in this same story, The One Above All allowed Thanos to absorb even the Living Tribunal.
Darkseid held his own against The Spectre on his own. A being capable of virtually anything & yes I do mean anything. If Darkseid could defeat The Spectre then the victory would be much more obvious. This still means since Thanos haven't fought a being similar to him without any artifacts. I would say Darkseid is more impress in this particular case.
I do need to make this crystal clear. Darkseid does exist outside both time & space. This makes two of the six Infinity Gems useless against him. It is very possible both the Infinity Gauntlet & Heart of the Universe may not work at all. Those artifacts are confirmed to only work in this universe. Considering Death Battle universe allows things that shouldn't be possible.
For an example allowing both The Flash & Quicksilver going close to their top speeds. In Marvel universe, Quicksilver is faster simply because the speed force doesn't exist in that universe. In vice versa, DC universe has the speed force making The Flash ridiculously faster. What I am trying to say is it could be possible for both artifacts to work.
We don't even know how close to the canon or if any non canon material might get considered for this fight. It is possible for weaker characters to defeat Thanos. One time through an artifact, Starlord defeated Thanos on his own. I can't say the same for Darkseid although Batman really tries. Darkseid is so powerful it takes a being very high up in the power scale to do even small damage to him.
His biology was enhanced like most of his kind early on due to staying close to the Source. Let's be honest both their biologies are rather unusual. Sure Thanos can use the power gem to do some damage. Darkseid doesn't even need to try to do the same exact thing even without using his blasts. Obviously the mind gem is also useless against Darkseid.
Right there that's three of six infinity gems that won't do anything to Darkseid. Soul gem also wouldn't help since Darkseid is a god. Also a lot of it's abilities Darkseid himself can do on his own. Only the reality gem would be any real threat to Darkseid. Sadly for Thanos due to being a god. Darkseid has a few possible ways to prevent him from using that gem.
For those sorta confused by this point four out of six Infinity Gems are essentially useless against Darkseid. Only the power & reality gems would be some kind of threat to him. I will try to sum everything else up to the best of my ability. Some feats of Thanos was made possible due to using insanely powerful artifacts.
In comparison, Darkseid does similar things without using anything. Majority of abilities Thanos has, Darkseid is used to dealing with. But in vice versa, I can't say the same for Thanos. Darkseid can screw Thanos over by erasing out of existence two different ways or increasing his size to that of a giant.
Thanos is very good at what he does. I would even consider him a true god like being within his own universe. Darkseid is simply too much for Thanos to handle. I don't even need to say Darkseid has centuries under his belt. Thanos has a terrible habit of letting his opponents winning. I also came across a particular power of Darkseid not a lot of people realize he even has.
Darkseid can at any given time temporary disable any powers. This means if Thanos were getting the upper hand. All Darkseid needs to do is wait for the right moment to screw him over for the victory. Thanos is a truly amazing villain that most of the universe fears. Not even he could manipulate Darkseid's Omega Effect.
Sure he can manipulate most types of energy including cosmic. Which in a way is similar to Darkseid's but his Omega Effect is of godly origins. Basically you can only manipulate it if you are a god or Darkseid himself. The last important thing I need to talk about is the Anti-Life Equation. This does allow the user to manipulate minds.
Thanos did get revived by Death a lot of people would like to think he has some resistance or immunity. Nope he still applies to the Anti-Life Equation since he is alive. It would be different if he was dead. Even if Thanos was undead in this fight, Darkseid has other means of dealing with him. In every possible way, Darkseid is virtually several steps ahead of Thanos.
Winner: Darkseid (DC)
I just want to clarify something very quickly. Believe it or not, I'm a bigger fan of Thanos. For the longest time I thought Thanos was actually going to win. In fact there's some great arguments how he could win. Now I view it after some research and help from a friend. I can safely say majority of them are in fact wrong.

Jack Red reviews Doom series
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I always wanted to talk more about Doom. My first experience with it was on SNES in a short period of time. My brother ended up playing more of it at the time. Several years ago through Xbox 360 I got heavily into Doom series. I will even say it is one of my favorite FPS franchises.
Before I review reviewing a lot of Doom games. No I haven't got to play Doom 64 although I did play a good amount of a mod based on it. I still haven't got to play Doom (2016). I am well aware it's sequel is coming soon. I figured to talk about Doom since it quickly became a passion of mine. Usually horror & shooters at the time doesn't mess but Doom is a clear exception.
1. Doom (1993) and The Ultimate Doom (1995)
Doom is a classic that most shooter fans has played at some point. Personally I love everything about it to the point I can't really criticize much of it. I enjoy majority of the maps you play with intense boss fights. The soundtrack alone keeps bringing me back for more. Doom has some of my favorite FPS enemies ever.
Sure you have to look up parts of the story. After a few levels texts will explain what's going on. Honestly any excuse to kill demons is good enough for me. I always like all the weapons Doomguy gets. A lot of the secrets are well hidden taking a long time to find. There isn't much else in terms of beating it on the hardest setting Nightmare.
This difficulty has enemies constantly spawning no matter how often you kill them. Also you can't cheat on that difficulty. Doom was a spiritual successor to another FPS game I'm also a huge fan of. Wolfenstein 3D thanks to a few spin off games we now know both classic franchises are connected. Doom picked the perfect title for this game.
Two years following it's release id Software release The Ultimate Doom. Originally there was three episodes or campaigns for those not familiar with those FPS style games. They added a new fourth episode to challenge players. This is the definitive Doom 1 experience. One weird thing is some newer ports of Doom 1 aren't called The Ultimate Doom despite being that version.
2. Doom II: Hell on Earth (1994) and Master Levels for Doom II (1995)
OMG just when I didn't think Doom couldn't get any better here comes Doom II: Hell on Earth. WOW this game is truly amazing in every sense of the word. So what it looks a little similar to the previous game. So did Spear of Destiny to Wolfenstein 3D but it had plenty differences to help differ the two.
I feel the same can be said in this case as well. Doom II adds the super shotgun. A few new enemies got added into the mix. But the biggest challenge is Doom II now one long campaign instead of several shorter ones. Even Wolfenstein went through this change. This also means the number of hidden levels is cut down to two.
I do need to talk about those levels for many reasons. Why do I keep bringing up Wolfenstein you ask? The very first level from that game is one of two hidden levels of Doom II. Rise of the Triad as one of it's extra levels also has a recreation of the same level. The other secret level does pull things from Wolfenstein & Commander Keen.
Instead of simply pressing the button like in most levels. You have to kill four Commander Keens before you can finish the level. Also surprise the Cyberdemon is a boss in this level. They combine Doom with Wolfenstein in terms how this boss fight plays out. The levels are much bigger than the previous game.
The final boss is easily the worst thing about this game. I had more of a challenge from the Cyberdemon. The Icon of Sins keeps spawning enemies almost the entire time. It stays in place with no real way to defend itself. The method to taking him out kinda annoying since you need a rocket launcher.
Oh wait that's not enough you have to get on a platform that lifts high enough. Then finally you have to fire just before you start falling. The game gives you little to no way knowing if you actually damage him or not. I would say the best method is cheating. You can input noclip code to fly behind it for a easter egg.
You can simply attack John Romero's head until you win. Yeah it goes from being frustrating to incredibly easy. There's slightly less levels than in the previous game. I do need to mention Master Levels for Doom II for those that may know about them but aren't exactly sure what are they. Trust me after I explain this I don't blame you for still being confused.
Unlike most expansion packs that act as their own games that usually add stuff to the game. Master Levels for Doom II is an emulator that has extra levels made by skilled Doom modders. id Software contacted a lot of people to allow their work to be in this expansion. This is where things starts getting confusing.
You have to remember which levels each of them replaces. It is possible to play majority of them in one run. They simply replace several Doom II levels. A couple of them are replacing the same level. Which could trigger not working at all. Steam didn't do a good job with this expansion. It's difficult to put it into words how frustrating it is.
Thankfully GOG's version works perfectly for the most part. They did an amazing job, also in the same deal you get Doom II with Final Doom. I should mention Master Levels for Doom II doesn't actually require Doom II in order to play. But I think you should have both of them installed just in case.
3. Final Doom (1996)
Final Doom is virtually two more Doom II episodes in one huge expansion. Virtually taking a page from Spear of Destiny mission packs. Except those aren't that bad with both having their own stories. Sure it has the exact same number of levels with one reusing the same soundtrack. Final Doom was created to be incredibly challenging for the finest Doom players.
Basically you could play the previous games on their hardest or second hardest settings. Compared to this, those were a cake walk I'm not kidding. Not much gets added but some of my favorite classic Doom maps are present here. This expansion may not have the best title but in a way it sorta works. If you love Doom II you should give this a try.
I do need to bring something up. I haven't got to play PS1 releases of these games. Final Doom on that console also had some levels from Master Levels for Doom II. Surprisingly enough on PS3 as Doom Classic Complete has all of them with No Rest for the Living. The PC version is just the classic DOS versions without No Rest for the Living.
Although it is still possible to play that if you so happen to own Doom 3 BFG Edition. Final Doom does have some of the most annoying levels in the franchise history. How this got made did cause some controversiality. Two brothers were nearly finished making TNT: Evilution that was originally going to be release free.
Until they had a deal with id themselves. They quickly finished TNT: Evilution to quickly make The Plutionia Experiment. I will even say The Plutionia Experiment is way harder than TNT: Evilution. Personally I am a big fan of TNT: Evilution for what it is. I never cared much for the other episode included.
4. Doom II: No Rest for the Living (2010)
Watch out Duke Nukem, Doom II got a new episode before you did. To be honest Episode 5 of Duke 3D was good just not great. In comparison to No Rest for the Living wow this is a solid follow up episode. This was stated to have maps even bigger than both halves of Final Doom. Some levels are really filled with demons.
Sure this is a short campaign but they did a truly amazing job keeping it not only faithful but also a lot of fun. I still say the original Doom II campaign is better. Not many releases of Doom II has this episode. The episode length itself is a tribute to Doom 1. Not much gets added here either but I do enjoy the new maps.
5. Doom 3 (2004)
Doom 3 is technically a remake of Doom 1. But those two are very different games from each other. Although a lot of the same enemies, weapons and other related stuff is still present. Doom 3 is much slower having more puzzles. They make it more clear when you are facing off against a boss. Two particular bosses requires a different method for defeating them.
The guardian has additional orb you have to take out before you can do damage to him. The Cyberdemon can only be damage by the soul cube. Honestly I prefer this than majority of Duke Nukem Forever bosses that forces the player to use explosives. I do like these newer variation of classic Doom monsters.
To be honest I didn't care much about the lost souls in this game. Thankfully in later Doom 3 games they stand out more. I will say this is one of the better Doom games to play. Although I do understand why a lot of Doom fans not liking this game. Doom 3 has messages from several people to help understand what was going on.
I do like doing the objectives doesn't affect the game play much. The worst thing about this game is Nightmare. Your health keeps bringing to 25 with enemies doing more damage while your attacks does less. Trust me unless you want the challenge I don't recommend it. Doom 3 is one of the better video game remakes that's incredibly different from the older games.
6. Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil (2005)
To me this is the best out of Doom 3 games. Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil spices things up just the right way. You get the artifact that looks like an ancient demonic heart. After killing the first three bosses, you will gain additional abilities for the artifact. I would even say it's one of the most powerful Doom weapons ever created I'm not kidding.
You play as a different Doomguy from the previous game. You must go into Hell to stop this mad scientist from dooming everyone. At the end of Doom 3 you get a small sneak peak of what he became. Speaking of him, he's the hardest boss fight. Although Invulnerability Hunter is possibly the most annoying Doom boss either.
You have to keep firing until he starts regenerating. Keep in mind there are enemies in the area. You have to take out one of the generators. This will do so much to damage while shortening how much health he gets back. Trust me it take me awhile to figure all of this out. I got to be honest the puzzles involving the artifacts are among my favorites in this series.
I do like how they did the ending they allow us to decide if Doomguy lives or dies. They still haven't confirmed which actually happened. I do love the cover of this expansion more than the actual game's. I felt this was a solid expansion easily one of the finest for any Doom games. Yes it is a little on the hard side but it isn't ridiculous like Final Doom.
7. Doom 3: The Lost Mission from Doom 3 BFG Edition (2012)
Doom 3: The Lost Mission is basically an additional campaign taking place during Doom 3's campaign. Another Doomguy thought to be killed off survives. Before I go on, never since this game we had two Doomguys. This guy's goal is to seal off the portal to Hell with help from a scientist. Two previous bosses return with notable changes.
Vagary has some small enemies to help her this time. Beyond that it is a shorter boss fight since she's weaker than her Doom 3 counterpart. Despite the similarities, Vagary and Spider Mastermind aren't related. The Guardian is easily the worst Doom 3 boss fight. He does differently being notably weaker.
Doom 3: The Lost Mission doesn't seem to affect much. Majority of levels are slightly altered from Doom 3. Even Final Doom had more going for it in it's level designs. This is also the shortest among Doom 3 games. I got to be honest it is alright I prefer many Doom games over this one. There really isn't much else to say except as of right the only way to play it is through Doom 3 BFG Edition.
This also has remastered Doom 3 & Resurrection of Evil that's many claim is a little too bright that removed modding. This uses the same Xbox 360 ports of the first two Doom games. If I'm not mistaken Xbox 360 and PS3 versions has more achievements/trophies. One annoying thing for Xbox gamers is if you already own the first two Doom games then you put that disc in it won't work.

Jack Red reviews Quake III Arena
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I honestly got so many games that it will take me awhile before I can continue Quake. In the meantime I recently picked up with many games Quake III Arena. I remember wanting this game knowing very little about it. In Quake's time line there's technically three of them that are all very different from each other.
Timeline 1: Quake with all three of it's expasions
Timeline 2: Quake II with both of it's expansions and Quake 4
Timeline 3: Quake III Arena, Quake Live and Quake Champions
Quake III Arena is similar to some of the Unreal games mostly Tournament & Championship series. You go into a tournament of killing everyone with all kind of weapons. This reminds me of Deathmatch Classics that's like Quake 1 turned into a multiplayer game. Trust me this is very similar but in some ways better.
You also get an expansion pack called Quake III: Team Arena. Around it's time of release many people criticize it for coming after mods that fixed some stuff already hit the game. Honestly I don't know what exactly was changed but there is more game play choices in this. Regardless which one you are playing, the characters come off interesting.
I am very surprised to see Doomguy in this game. Yes the same space marine that defeated Hell several times is in this game. I think the difficulty is well balanced. Each level will test how fast you can memorize everything as well as killing other people. Sometimes stopping could lead to death just like Counter-Strike series.
The audio department once again nails it. This is easily one of my favorite Quake games I ever played. You don't need to know much before playing. It should be very obvious what to do. Some maps can take time to get use to like the final opponent in the campaign's map. It took me several minutes before I get how to play on it.
Unlike Quake II, it wasn't explained why they went into this direction. Following the release of Quake 4 that long standing pattern broken. This game is very addicting to play from the moment you start playing. In the expansion you get more team related matches. This really doesn't fee like the first two Quake games.
At the same time it does play tribute to parts of them as well as Doom. I wouldn't be surprised if this existed in the same universe as Wolfenstein 3D & classic Doom games. Honestly it really does feel like those. Sure you are simply killing your opponents rather than hunting down enemies while doing objectives.
Sometimes lacking story in a game can be a great thing. I kinda like it because I could come up with I believe likely happened instead of what's already there. You do get to select characters I still haven't got to try everyone. Quake III Arena is a truly amazing multiplayer. It is still being played online today.

Jack Red reviews Army Men RTS
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I had a few Army Men games growing up. Deep down I was always curious about that franchise. By now a particular meme with Army Men & Call of Duty everyone knows about. To me that was so on the money that I was laughing. Army Men is widely known for releasing so many games in a few years.
Today I want to talk about what most fans considers to be the greatest Army Men game ever made. Army Men RTS was officially the last 3DO entry before they close down. They had to get another team to work on it but that turned out to be a great decision. This game is virtually everything you could want in an Army Men game.
I got this with a lot of games including four Army Men games on GOG for my birthday. Right away I got use to how this game plays. The campaign itself is very solid with great cut scenes. You get a lot of variety for soldiers and vehicles to keep going. Some missions might be a little tough coming down to pure luck.
I do like you can cheat that does spice up the game. Each mission is mostly straight forward. There is one where you need to protect the villagers while they're escaping. This mission took me awhile to get through. Army Men RTS has some great jokes for it's time. Some campaign mission names are parodies of military movies like A Few Good Men.
The maps are a great size to experiment with several ideas. Of course you never know when suddenly the enemy hits you with just enough to break through some of your defenses. There is only one boss in the entire game in the final mission. I will talk more about him in a little while. You can get a large green army in no time.
You do need to upgrade your buildings since they do increase not only the speed of making stuff but also the amount of them allowed. A true test is to play Great Battles mode. You need to be great at the game to survive. There is literately no room of error when you play in this mode. I could even say not even the boss fight is tougher than most of those.
In this game you also have to deal with insects. Thankfully with a good enough defense you don't even how to look or move anything to protect your base. Some missions you are stuck with Sarge's unit. You can't make a base at all with a lot of enemies waiting to kill your unit. Army Men RTS is also on consoles.
Funny enough there is a mission where you need to take PS2 console from the tan army. Some of the later missions will take a long time even without dying to complete. The AI goes up a lot forcing you to quickly prepare for the worst. Army Men RTS does have some great locations you can explore. This game has so much going for it.
Now I can talk about the final boss very early in the campaign during one of the first cut scenes. You find out their leader used to be a high ranking green superior before tragedy hit. He left to quickly move up the tan army's ranks. The entire plot is a parody of Apocalypse Now. It sure takes hours to get to this guy.
When you get finally reach him, he has snipers close by. He is inside a device that shoots big fire balls. This also has healing units to keep his health bars up. Yes you heard me correctly before you get to hurt him directly. You must take all of that out first which can be frustrating to do. When you do that with none of his army nearby just watch how fast he goes down.
The ending itself is one of my favorite cut scenes. I can't say I dislike any cut scene in particular. The villagers can be annoying despite only appearing in one mission. I do like you can split up your army to take on the tan army how you want to. I should mention both armies have exactly almost everything.
Sarge's unit is easily among the best characters you have for both attacking & defending. Not only they're tough than most of their army but their accuracy is very good too. I hope you love explosions because you will see a lot of them. Yes I know I'm playing a game based on a classic 50s toy that's still popular to this day.
I can't say anything negative enough to count as a major problem. They did an amazing job turning a strategy franchise into RTS. Which by itself is heavily on making strategies as well as taking risks. This really makes you feel like you're in their world. I got to be honest I am very glad to have this in my collection.
I am not sure when but I do plan on reviewing the other Army Men games. But you should be seeing one more review following this one.

Jack Red reviews The Walking Dead Collection
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I pre ordered The Walking Dead: The Final Season on Xbox One. Officially my second time pre ordering any time but first for digital. I did that since I really wanted all the Walking Dead games on that console. The deal is among pre ordering The Walking Dead Collection will become free.
The Walking Dead Collection has the first Seasons with the mini series Michonne. Most of them are updated similar to how A New Frontier was done. Which also means they didn't do anything to Season 3 at all. There is no new achievements either since majority of them are automatically given to you.
Only having two easy to miss achievements in 400 Days are the exceptions. Funny enough winning a game of rock, paper, scissors is the hardest achievement lol. If you needed to get a little higher on your gamer score this game is right up your alley. They mostly changed part of the animations and coloring.
But I do like I can select between them as well as their episodes. This game has a lot of great material to keep you busy possibly for months. I just reviewed them all prior to this review. So I won't say much about them in general. I will say the newer versions do stand out in their own way. I would say it looks slightly better while worse in others compared to their original Xbox One versions.
I was so glad to pick this collection up. There's plenty of reasons why I would come back to it. Trust me this with Season 4 are the perfect Walking Dead combo. It is a shame it's losing sells over the company falling. This collection is easily among my favorites in gaming. Personally I prefer more game play variety like some Sega ones and Rare Replay.
The only real problem I had is it takes longer for it to load. Which could affect pace to loading your save back up. Considering another feature some Telltale games are doing in live streams. Where all your decisions are now in your viewer's hands. Just imagine how that could affect it. Honestly it is still a solid collection with more than enough content.

Jack Red reviews The Walking Dead: A New Frontier aka Season Three (Telltale)
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, the second most recent entry in this great franchise. I bet a lot of you are wondering how does it compare to the other Walking Dead games? Trust me I will give you a great idea where I rank each game. I will try very hard to not spoil anything major in this game. I do own two versions of it on Xbox One.
This time you have two playable characters dealing with a lot of the story. Clementine's portions are stuff that already happened that does open the door for the next Walking Dead game. For the most part you are playing as Javier whose trying to protect his family. I will say the decisions in this game are among some of the toughest yet.
You do get to kill a lot of things during the course of the game. Trust me this one has some surprises in it's multiple choices you won't see coming. Story wise I have to be honest I do like it. But it doesn't handle a torch to the first two games. They focus some portions of Javier on his past prior to the events of the game.
Don't get me wrong I do find that interesting actually done better than the first few seasons of Fear the Walking Dead. Yes I watch that show too even from the beginning. There's a special reason behind that since I was married a little before it aired the first episode. So in that regard I can connect to a personal level to this game.
There's a couple of characters with some will eventually change how you feel about them. I am not revealing which ones but trust me when you get that far in. You will know whom I'm referring to. You get to explore several locations. In a weird way it comes off like Fallout series. I don't want to clarify in what way since doing so is spoilers.
This game is very story driven with some well thought out action sequences. There's some potential of greatness here. Speaking of that, Jesus from the comics appears in this game too. The final episode will throw you off during your first play through in a way you won't see coming. This game centers on protecting your family during the apocalypse.
There's some great voice acting but I did notice the first two really set the bar for that. This one isn't as clear what to do but it shouldn't take too long to figure it out. I would say it is a good follow up to Season Two but it's close in some ways. I am not saying I'm disappointed in this game because I'm not by any means.

Jack Red reviews The Walking Dead: Michonne
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, a lot of people were surprised we ended up getting a spin off Walking Dead game. There are several changes to help differ it from the rest. It is also the cheapest out of all the game to buy. The Walking Dead: Michonne is much more serious tone. I felt they did a great job with what they had for this.
As the title suggests you play as Michonne. Yes that Michonne many people know from The Walking Dead show. This was created because the comics didn't explained what happened to her while away from the group. Michonne does experience a lot of flashbacks that sorta act as her origin story. I felt they could've piece the last of it together more.
This game also started a tread with intros complete with music. This is split up into three episodes actually a little shorter than the regular episodes of the other Walking Dead games. Despite that it still tells a good story for the most part. The action itself is worth rewatching. Some of my favorite walker kills are in this game.
The Walking Dead: Michonne is not connected to the main Telltale Walking Dead series. Honestly I am fine by this since it does help make it stand out more. Michonne is struggling with her past through the course of the game. I won't spoil much of what else is going on. Trust me that would ruin the fun.
You really felt like you're in her shoes during the game. She has her sword that does use at several points. I would say this has the second easiest overall decisions of all their Walking Dead games. The only one easier was 400 Days. There's some great gore effects especially later on. You don't get as much variety of locations to explore.
But you do get more back story to one of the most popular Walking Dead characters. Michonne goes through a lot in this mini series. Maybe not as crazy as the previous two games it's still worth mentioning. I would say for a spin off game it's one of the best I played especially for a licensed game.

Jack Red reviews The Walking Dead Season Two (Telltale)
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I was so excited to play Season Two of The Walking Dead even before I got to play it. I was actually nice enough to let a friend play it before me. He was staying with me for awhile. This is a worthy follow up that does some things better. For many people this is where the franchise starts to fall.
Personally I disagree that I will explain in one of my next blogs. This game is five episodes that went more into survival horror route. Some of the finest performances in any Telltale game is present here. Some decisions will bring out raw emotions among the first time playing. I won't say tell which emotions though.
The story centers around Clementine that has to survive through some tough obstacles. Sadly one of them involves an old friend of hers from Season One. You get to explore several locations being more on alert. Some of my favorite walker designs are in this game. There's a lot of characters this time around.
Surprisingly they got Michael Madsen to voice in this game. Just what you expect from his usual roles. He delivers a truly unforgettable performance. You will quickly notice Clementine is adapting faster than how she was in the previous game. A lot of moments that's really worth replaying the hell out of it.
Just like the previous game, it got many game of the year awards. They told a very interesting story in a way you couldn't possibly see how it ends. You see in Season One at several times you get ideas how it could end before you get there. Well okay there kinda is something but I already referenced it earlier on.
Other than that, Clementine despite being a child holds her own. She had to make some difficult decisions that most kids would shut down entirely coughs Sarah or run away. I got to respect Clementine much more because of it. Her actress does an amazing job with her lines. Some rather violent moments you mostly can't avoid seeing.
I do like this time you get to decide where you go. Trust me this by itself is a foreshadowing of Season Four game. I would say for the most part the story is told very well. Maybe not as well as Season One but good enough to work. I do like it's references to the previous game kinda like how some RE entries does that towards RE 1 or RE2.
I would say it's more clear what you are doing than in the previous game. But there's plenty of surprises including those that will go over your head. Like this one the voice for Reggie is actor Kumail Nanjiani. It is possible to have most characters from 400 Days to appear. Chances are half of them guarantee will show up.
The Walking Dead Season Two is a solid follow up. It does a lot right for the most part. Thank god they finally made uses for those characters from 400 Days. Clementine steals the show for being a huge step up from the previous game. The story itself is truly a work of art if I say so. This is easily one of their best sequels ever.

Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, finally since 2012 I get to review The Walking Dead Season One. OMG this is what got me into their work. I remember just finding out about it after getting money from my grandma. I decided to take a chance then I quickly became a fan of it. This game is still among my favorite horror games of all time.
I will try to not give too much away in my review. But the way they went about it makes even doing that very difficult. The Walking Dead Season One has Lee protecting a little girl named Clementine. They face all kind of situations that I'm surprised they allowed in the final game. You get to explore several locations trying to find her parents.
Yes you deal with a lot of walkers aka zombies for those that didn't know. There is some puzzles but most of them are easy. I do like some game play variety it throws in to help spice things up. Every decision you make greatly affects how it plays out. I will give one spoiler in most decisions where you can only save one person.
In a later episode the other person dies. I also bring this up because of the bonus episode 400 Days. There's a easy to miss achievement related to the first true one late in episode one. Thankfully the game makes majority of it very clear what to do. In terms of being scary I think it does work. The gore in particular is truly amazing stuff.
The Walking Dead Season One does have a few select characters from the comic series. Which wouldn't happen for awhile until The Walking Dead: Michonne. There is technically six episodes with the final bonus one being it's own multi stories rolled into one. I got to be honest 400 Days is probably among the worst despite being better than Jurassic Park: The Game.
Yes I just said that moving on, this game does a great job pulling you into the story. There's three versions of the first three Walking Dead games you can play on Xbox One. To be honest I played this on several platforms. Even the zombie designs are some of the finest I ever seen. They really get you thinking what to do.
Lee in a way has a redemption story since he spend the rest of it protecting Clementine. He was originally on his way to jail for murdering people. In a way it is similar to Resident Evil 0 with Billy except he was guilty. Over time you will enjoy Lee more seeing he does have more to him. Clementine is the most frequent seen character in their Walking Dead games.
400 Days has the most playable characters of six with the second most being two in The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. I felt they could've did more with each of their stories. Let's be more direct this felt like an unnecessary spin off than anything else. Yes it does connect to Season Two but it just doesn't come off being important.
Basically it was a let down I know they were trying to hold people off on the follow up. But still this could've been something else entirely that would've worked. Most of Season One I do recommend replaying a lot. All of them are very solid experience in and off themselves. This is among my favorite Telltale games.

Jack Red reviews Batman: The Telltale Series
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I figured to review Telltale's first Batman game. I got this for Christmas with a gift card at Best Buy. I already expected to love this game even before I got to play it. There's plenty of Batman games on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The big question is how does it hold up?
Batman: The Telltale Series aka Season One is a great Batman game. Not only it brings what they been doing recently. They also did a great job keeping it true to Batman. You have to make some difficult decisions that will greatly affect how the story plays out. Like Batman: Arkham series, you get to piece together how some crime scenes played out.
I got to be honest they picked a great cast for this game. I was very impressed with everyone's performances. You will see a lot of Catwoman during the course of it. You do play notably more of Bruce Wayne. Now this by itself is interesting since you usually play as Batman. There aren't many examples where you can play as both Bruce & Batman with Lego Batman series being another exception.
Basically without giving too much away your goal is to stop this mysterious group from destroying Gotham City. Surprisingly Ra's al Ghul has absolutely nothing to do with this. I guess he might've learned from Batman: Arkham City lol. The fight portions are well thought out. I still say The Wolf Among Us nailed it a little better.
The audio department is really good in this game. You do get to explore several locations especially Wayne Manor. Trust me they really slam you with some great story you won't expect among the first play through. I did like The Penguin is a close friend of Wayne's. Usually I don't give praise to that character.
Hell both Batman Returns & Gotham had two of my favorite versions of him. This game has another one I actually like. You also get to see Harvey become Two Face. I am not surprised by it but I was surprised how much I like this version of Two Face. Way better than Batman Forever despite having the idol actor playing him.
I won't spoil whose the main antagonist. I do want to say they deliver on a truly original Batman story. I also like John Doe is technically The Joker. Yes folks even his nemesis makes an appearance in the game. WOW this guy quickly steals the show despite how little he appears. Sadly I still haven't got to play the follow up.
I would say if you can't get a hold of Batman: Arkham series. This is one of the next best options to play Batman. I also like some fights has Catwoman too. This game delivers on unique experience even for a Batman game. There's a lot of potential for licensed games. I would impressed how good the game actually was.

Jack Red reviews The Wolf Among Us
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, a lot of people recommended The Wolf Among Us to me. When it came time to finally get it. I couldn't wait to see if it was well worth every penny or not. WOW without giving much away hands down one of the finest games to date in my opinion. I actually got a lot to say about this game.
The Wolf Among Us is based on Fables comic series. This game is a canon prequel to it. I do need to say before I start reviewing it's a real shame this no longer getting a sequel. I usually don't feel that way about a game that almost got one. Clearly after playing this all the way through it quickly became an exception.
This world is similar to many animation franchises you can name. Many characters including Bigby was actually the Big Bad Wolf. You heard me correctly most of them are alternate versions of fairy tale characters. Which by itself does spice things up. I felt in terms of making decisions this did a great job.
Just like their Walking Dead games, every decision you make greatly affects the story. I would say the story is easily one of their absolute best ever told. There are a few times you will be confuse about what to do next. One interesting thing is this was among their first games to have collectibles. Now you know where that concept in The Walking Dead: The Final Season came from.
Bigby is trying very hard to make up for stuff he done in the past. Most characters doesn't even want to be around him. This is a story of redemption that's inspiring for many reasons. I also like we can play in several phrases of his transformation. At one point he will become a giant wolf that really doesn't mess around.
I have to say the characters themselves are the best part of the game. Each one has their own personality that comes off being relatable. When it comes to the fight scenes this game doesn't hold back. Especially when you come rip a creature's arm off or not. This is strangely similar to Sam and Max since both their games involves being the law in a rather unusual world.
You get to learn a lot about several characters including their origins. No it doesn't fully reveal it all but enough to help piece the rest of it in your heads. This game did follow the success of The Walking Dead Season One. I am amazed not only it hold it's own against that. But also in some ways more enjoyable than some of those games I'm not kidding.
You do get to explore several locations within this world. This also has a few possible endings for each episode. I would say it's replayable value is very high even for a Telltale game. There's so many positives going for it. The closest negative thing I can say is there's no sequel. I got to be honest this game is one of the select few even if I could name it's flaws.
I still have to say it was very good well worth every minute of it. The Wolf Among Us is easily one of the greatest point & click games I ever played period. This game will keep you interested in it's story. There's a lot of moments to keep replaying it almost a entirely new experience. Obviously for the fighting portions it does do them better than Batman: The Telltale Series.

Jack Red reviews Jurassic Park: The Game
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, there are many Jurassic Park games. I grew up playing Sega's original arcade game at Chuck E. Cheese as a kid. I also had Jurassic Park on Sega Genesis as well as The Lost World of Jurassic Park on PlayStation. I do have a little history with Jurassic Park games. I decided to finally take a chance at playing Telltale's take despite stuff I heard about it.
Jurassic Park: The Game does not make this following connection clear. I had to look it up shortly after finishing it. Believe it or not, this game takes place after the original movie but before The Lost World of Jurassic Park movie. The closest I heard of this was Batman. On NES, Batman got two different follow ups with only one being expected by people.
This is sorta like that except you can pretend this doesn't exists. I am not kidding I actually thought at some point I might like the game. Sadly the more of it I played the more I disliked it. Usually I speak very highly of their work. Jurassic Park: The Game by itself wasn't the best title since so many games are simply called Jurassic Park.
I can excuse Back to the Future: The Game since it was more fitting of it with less games sharing the title. To me this game was a huge missed opportunity. Here's a great example, many of their games you have to wait awhile before the next episode comes out. They actually decided to release all four episodes the same day.
To this day that puzzles me because they could've improved on it. Why did they chose to release it in such a mess of a state is beyond me. This is the first Telltale game you can die. Trust me when I say be ready to die a lot even by poor game design. In a way that's good because it was done perfectly in their Walking Dead games.
The voice acting itself isn't bad but a lot of the dialogue isn't interesting to listen to. There are some parts where you can search select areas. I wouldn't mine if it was done in their newer games but trust me. When I say you have no idea how frustrating it is. They split the camera into several parts with some having multiple playable characters.
Some of them take you to a different area altogether making it more confusing what to do. The very word to describe this abomination is repetitive. Everything about it even trying to find stuff can be annoying as hell to do. Honestly end of the day it felt like a giant chore that I wasted hours doing. I really wanted to like this game but it has flaws I simply can't over look.
Going back to deaths, this game is surprisingly strict in nailing some button commands to not doing something. It is pretty obvious if you do the wrong thing you will die instantly. In fact so many ways you can die with such unnecessary wasted process. You have no idea how many times I had to restart several points because how poorly done it is.
I would even say Resident Evil 6 did that better. Another game rushed out to cash in on a popular franchise. Yes there are achievements but honestly I don't even have the patience to do one episode. To clarify I did play all four of them for this review in several months in advance. This has to be their most disappointing game ever made.

Jack Red reviews Telltale poker games
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, Telltale has a few poker games. This includes their original video game Telltale Texas Hold 'Em even predating their Bone series. I also own both Poker Night games that has guest characters. Considering they're all very similar I decided to review all three of them in one blog entry.
1. Telltale Texas Hold' Em
Hard to believe their first video game was a poker game right? Well there isn't much to say about this one. You play against four competitors that are well balanced in their difficulty. Although it is luck you end up winning against all of them. I only done that once so far I usually lose after the first person gets eliminated.
I would have to say the best part of this game hands down is the dialogue. You would be surprise by many things they say. There isn't other modes of play making this a limited game. But after awhile you could have some fun with this. I should point out a character in Sam and Max Telltale games looks like Boris from this game.
2. Poker Night at the Inventory
Often seen as a spiritual successor to Telltale Texas Hold 'Em. Poker Night at the Inventory has some interesting characters playing poker. You play against five characters in series of poker matches. Trust me just like Telltale Texas Hold' Em, it's luck if you win. I would say the AI is better than that game I'm not kidding.
Once again the dialogue is the real show. A lot of great humor especially from Heavy & Max. Some of them were licensed since Telltale did make their games. They got Heavy since they had a good relationship with Valve. I am glad since he was always my favorite Team Fortress character. I do like the intro something their previous poker game lacks entirely.
3. Poker Night 2
WOW in some ways it is better than the previous entry. I would say the people you are going up against is more mind blowing. I mean Brock from the Venture Bros. show & Ash from Evil Dead I never thought I would see them play poker. Max returns with his partner Sam whose actually playing against you.
I would say the AI is even tougher since one mistake say good bye. There is always a chance they could give you a opportunity to take someone else out first. I do like the intro but the humor is still strong I just prefer the previous game's more. Thankfully you can unlock stuff to help you in future matches.
I didn't bring it up in the other Poker Night game since I didn't know how that works. But I got some beginner stuff in this one. This came out sometime after Season 3 of Sam & Max officially their last Telltale appearance. Recently a few months ago, it got removed off of Steam due to the licensing expired.

Jack Red reviews Bone Complete Bundle
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, Telltale's first licensed franchise was Bone. It was based on the comic book series of the same name. They only made two games based on two early arcs of it. Essentially most licensed Telltale games follows in this series footsteps. It may not be a major success but in a way it still works.
1. Bone: Out from Boneville
I am not familiar with the comic series but based on what I looked into. They did a great job recreating it. You play as several characters mostly the same three characters on the cover. Even with a guide you still be curious to see how this plays out. The overall pace is kinda slow but it doesn't get me bore.
There are some game play variety that do help spicing up the game. This was also their first game you could go about several parts of the story how you want. Mostly you are playing as Bone in his quest to find his friends. The puzzles aren't that challenging but some parts aren't clear what to do either.
It's tough to explain unless you play this game prior to my review. It is a game you can't lose in but you do have to retry until you succeed. The overall length is shorter than what you expect from Telltale games. There is some humor if you are into cartoonish wise cracks. This was the first licensed franchise they ever done.
2. Bone: The Great Cow Race
Let's be honest everyone knows this was the better out of the two Bone games. WOW this improved many ways over the previous one. They were precursors to their episodic format. I would say the humor is at it's best. Trust me watching a walkthrough could get some people wanting to play it. In a way it is sorta ridiculous even for a Telltale game.
You get to play as the other two characters more greatly affecting how the game plays out. There's more game play variety including the actual great cow race portion. The dialogue alone is worth checking out this game. You won't believe some of the stuff you have to do. You have to play as all three main characters to the end before you can finish the game.
But you can do them in any order that won't affect much. A foreshadowing to every decision greatly impacts what happens in many of their games. This game isn't slow in it's pacing although it can take awhile. Some things aren't made clear even reading many people's guides trust me I been there. I would say among their very early works this would be the best of them.

Jack Red reviews Back to the Future: The Game
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, considering Telltale is almost gone now. I figured to review a lot of their games I played earlier this year. What better game to start with then the very first Telltale game I wanted. Now considered to be the best licensed game on the movie franchise. A game that really doesn't need any kind of introduction.
Back to the Future: The Game has five episodes. They did licensed many things I know from the movies. Christopher Lloyd reprises his role as Doc Brown actually several versions of him. Believe it or not, despite another actor playing Marty McFly. The original actor Michael J. Fox does cameo late in this game.
The very beginning is very similar to a iconic scene from the first movie. A lot of jokes & songs you know from them are present too. A couple of familiar characters do appear a lot as well. One interesting fact originally someone in house voiced Biff Tannen. More recently in 30th Anniversary Edition, the original actor Thomas F. Wilson reprises his role.
Before this game only Super Back to the Future Part II was worth mentioning. There is no secret majority of Back to the Future games are horrible. I was very blown away how damn good this game is. I should mention even with puzzles taking a long time to complete. There is no real way to lose unless you give up.
You only play as Marty but trust me you will get to explore several time periods. Sometimes it isn't clear what to do or where to find stuff. This is like one big interactive Back to the Future movie. In fact many fans considers this to be Back to the Future 4. Despite the fact they want the main canon to remain as three movies.
Speaking of different canons, two alternate versions has one additional entry. One of them has Back to the Future cartoon that also has Christopher Lloyd while the other one has this game. It is interesting Lloyd also appears in another point & click game called Toonstruck. Which further bags questions since he appeared in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? movie.
They did a great job keeping the story interesting. Yes some concepts got reused but in a way it doesn't get old. You get to learn more about several characters. Telltale did an amazing job recreating what so many love about those movies. I would even say it is one of my absolute favorites among their work.
It is a shame very recently Steam removed this game. I am so glad I got this much earlier in the year. I do recommend a guide just in case you are getting confuse what to do. There are some frustrating puzzles that some guides won't be helping you much in doing. The perfect example is young Dog gets into an argument with his father.
You really need to pay attention to basic things he is saying to help point you in the right direction. Some of what he says can be a little throwing off at first. Thankfully even if you kept screwing up you still can continue the puzzle. You get to see several versions of Hill Valley just like the movies. This felt like a true successor to an amazing legacy.
Yes you can set the game into giving you hints but you really need to figure a lot of stuff out on your own. There's a lot of creative in this game alone to keep bringing you back. Fox's cameo is another relative of Marty's. In some of the movies, Fox plays some of Marty's family members. It makes perfect sense that would be how to bring him in.
Speaking of Fox, all pre orders of this game was directly given to Fox's charity. I heard awhile back his condition isn't good. This guy has talented despite his disorder. Back to the Future: The Game is truly a master piece. If you love the movies, here's the perfect game to play. Not only it puts you in the mood to rewatch them but also play more of this too.

Jack Red reviews Postal: Classic and Uncut
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, This purchase isn't affecting the other half of my birthday. I worked hard to get some more games on GOG. I got the first two Serious Sam games and the original Postal. Keep in mind my knowledge prior to playing it was limited. I did play Postal 2 first like many people did. But I did wonder how was the original Postal like.
If you think Postal 2 is like this then you are mistaken. In Postal 2 you can go through most of the game not doing bad things. Also despite being very offensive to all kind of people. It did have a more comedical style. Postal 1 is surprisingly a darker game. Your goal is on every single level to kill most hostile people.
When you have the number it tells you to kill press F1 there I just saved you from getting confused you're welcome. There is no rewards of penalties for killing the innocent. You do get a good variety of weapons with your default having infinite ammo. The actual game play is sorta similar to classic GTA games.
The only animal you can kill is ostriches. I got to be honest the maps are very well detailed. Sure trying to move through blind spots can be a little frustrating. The actual artwork is very good of this genre. I also like you can change the color of the Postal Dude's coat. I wish they could put a little more customization but I'll take the coat.
Postal 1 has two different versions on Steam. Sadly I didn't get to play Postal Redux being close to ten bucks. The version I got also includes levels from Special Delivery expansion & the Japanese version. The game actually gives you an option for which levels you play in the campaign. Doing the short ones won't give you the ending.
You do get the option to play with every level. I am not holding this against Postal 2 since Paradise Lost came out a few years ago. You can execute people moving on the ground. I got to say the controls are great. You do have to look up the story in advance to get an idea what's going on. Yes it is one of those games.
Postal 1 does not have any bosses to deal with. Some sentries can be tough to take down except for explosives. Sometimes you will be wandering around looking for just one more hostile person to kill. I should mention this game also has multiplayer. Some releases also comes with a level editor. Trust me this game gets crazy from the start.
It may not be as good as Postal 2. This game is still fun to play today. I should mention originally Postal Dude had long hair. Sometimes people keep coming out of buildings. A few times enemies will come out. Postal 1 is simply a mindless game about killing people. There isn't much game play variety to be found here.
A lot of games do that many people still remember. Postal 1 does have some interesting locations to cause mayhem. Honestly the extra levels added are very good. Not only they look before than many campaign levels. It pushes this game to a more dark/gray area that may turn some people off. I would say if you enjoy Postal 2 that enjoys shooters in general you need to give this a try.
This game's ending is a joke of itself. He really tries to kill kids at school but can't. I just love this game usage of black & red. The fact they went for such a direction got it banned in 10 countries I'm not kidding. The reason why he became who he is turns out to be a rather unusual story. A mysterious substance infected majority of people in Paradise, Arizona.
He believes himself to be the only one not infected by it. Although during the ending he does become crazy. There is some references like Gesa a parody of Sega. Postal 1 is more luck than actual strategy. Sometimes you have to move in between several enemies likely to take damage. It is possible to kill enemies at a distance without them doing anything.
Postal 1 does have codes as well as a level selection. I do recommend you play enough of the game to get all the levels. Trust me some of the later levels are worth replaying. When you get caught on fire it will quickly go away. I think the best part of the game is causing explosions. I am not kidding you can kill a lot of enemies by firing enough bullets or explosives at barrels.
Overall it may come off dated or people might take of it as a early GTA clone. I'm talking pre GTA III clone to clarify. Honestly I love a game that makes the obstacle simple. Regularly if I'm not in the mood to play the campaign. I would play death match for a few hours. This is like a single player version of that.

Jack Red reviews Harvester
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, recently I revealed what I gotten in GOG's Trick or Treat sale. Among over twenty games, one of them was Harvester. OMG this is one of the most mess up games I ever played. Even comparing it to Blackbay Asylum that's also a twisted take on point & click games. Harvester is a game that can't be recreated or made in modern gaming for many reasons.
Warning this will have spoiler as well taking about some of the craziest, disturbing moments. Trust me if you have a weak stomach doesn't even consider playing this. Even it's very logic was designed to be that of a psychopath similar once again to Blackbay Asylum.
The very first thing I like about this game is the cover. Seriously isn't that putting chills down your spines or what. You play as a young man named Steve that's confused by a rather strange town. His goal is to escape with his girlfriend Stephanie. You could carry out tasks from Sergeant at Arms or flat out kill people.
You heard me correctly you could speed run a lot of the games by risking your life killing people. There's a small variety of enemies you will deal with. Thankfully the first two disc are worth replaying. Sadly the third final disc is a rather mixed experience which I will get to later. You get a map that's available until you finally get inside The Lodge.
This map can be a little confusing for a few great reasons. Very few places like Stephanie's home seems to be almost off either side of the screen. When you switch locations at night it can be difficult to read the locations. I am glad you can still see the name of each location during the night portions. Harvester may seem like a typical point & click game but trust me that's deception.
The truth is Harvester acts more like some kind of insanity test I'm not kidding. You do collect a lot of items & weapons in the game. But you don't really get to use all your weapons. In some encounters it is very important to have plenty of health as well as fighting with the right weapon. You could go in healed up with the wrong weapon to die quickly.
In the first two disc portions fighting isn't a huge part of the game. But in the third final disc portions it suddenly becomes majority. Beyond the entrance to The Lodge is disc 3 content. Speaking of multiple discs, when you load up your save. You have to hold both F4 and Ctrl button before pushing left mouse button.
Trust me this process may be simple but quickly becomes annoying. I do recommend a guide to help save you from doing stupid things especially during the final levels. You see you can take your time as well as explore in the first two disc with little to no fighting. Sadly for the final portions you have to fight a lot.
In two particular cases you either have to punishment people or the person will attack you. There is a similar case with a fat man eating while a guard standing nearby. It is a little different because if you kill the fat man this guard will quickly kill you. But if you allow the fat man to eat all the burgers instead.
The guard won't attack you unless you do while the fat man will come after you. I know it's confusing logic like some stuff in Blackbay Asylum. There's some puzzles that's so critical to not screw up because doing so will kill you. A great example of this is the boiler room puzzle. Shortly after entering by paying attention to the boiler's meter.
Over time it's moving towards the dangerous area that can cause it to explode. Your goal is to quickly fix the boiler before that happens. Thankfully the solution is one of the most obvious in the entire game. OMG this TV guy is such a pain to take out. All he does is stand up high a little off the ground. You have to face a gunslinger & a robot right after each other.
Thankfully the robot is much easier to kill. The gunslinger was surprisingly more accurate & firing quicker than the guard protecting the fat man I'm not kidding. I should mention the actual people are digital actors. Now back in the 90s a lot of games especially PC had a lot of digital actors in games. Probably because Mortal Kombat series popularizing the concept.
Every task you carry out for Sergeant at Arms will result in someone dying. Which brings up some of the most disturbing 90s footage I ever seen. For example there's a particular cut scene with the baby. It's so mess up because her eyes actually pop out of her eye sockets. Shortly afterwards following blood, her mom forces her eyes back in.
Let's be honest there's stuff I'm really surprised made it to the final game. Especially stuff like using animals as meat or a little girl involved in rather unpleasant situation. There is absolutely no way a game like this could exist in modern gaming. Harvester has one big surprise at the very end. Sergeant at Arms confirms only Steve & Stephanie are real in this virtual simulation.
I know what a lot of you are going to say after reading this. Harvester came out three years before The Matrix. Oh trust me it gets weirder because he also tells you of two possible endings. You can save on the final decision screen so you can do both endings. Regardless Stephanie will die a horrible death.
But in Kill Stephanie ending, Steve returns to the real world as a serial killer. The entire process was to transform Steve into a serial killer. This is oddly similar to Doug in Blackbay Asylum. He already was a serial killer yet by the end of the game he stops a powerful being while sacrificing himself. So basically these two endings are essentially opposites of each other.
In Marry Stephanie ending, you will get a fast forward of their lives before their bodies dies in the real world. This game was actually created to help save the company from closing down. It was a financial failure yet has a cult classic among gamers. Harvester has okay voicing with one actress playing almost every female character in the game.
I should mention like Blackbay Asylum & Postal 2 oddly enough. Each level except the final ones are named after days of the week. There isn't a lot of puzzles in the game. You do have to think of doing bad things to get far without a guide. But remember what I stated earlier. The combat itself isn't very good to begin with.
You have to right click on which weapon in your inventory you want to use. I haven't figured out how to reload a shotgun. Otherwise by default you're using your fists. I do need to say I wasn't expecting much on the gore. WOW this has some disgusting looking gore & blood. There's a particular room with a mom getting parts of her eaten by her dead children.
Although it is a game over the best cut scene in the entire game. You go to the missile base to talk to Colonel Monroe. If you response the wrong answer. A cut scene will play of him firing through your head. By accident he lends on the solo button to all the nukes in the world. The last thing you will see is one of them goes off.
This guy already loss his entire bottom half that technically isn't possible in real life. I would say he is among my favorite characters. Most of Harvester is a great experience that more people need to play. Unfortunately the final disc ends up playing like a different game that doesn't belong. Look I am fine with mini games that break up the game.
At the same time you won't get much healing items. Almost everyone you will meet is an enemy. Very few of them will constantly cheap shot you faster than you could nail some hits. Sometimes you won't get any hits in at all. Compared to the first two disc, you are in a more limited environment. It felt like they wanted to spice up the game.
Instead what we ended up with is a confusion in identity with most of what I loved prior gone. I actually like exploring around town doing bad things. Honestly I wish I knew more about the actual development because it clearly wasn't rushed out. There's a couple games that got rushed out during the 90s to early 2000s.
I think what happened is they intended to make it more of a horror game. I felt the gore prior to it was way better. Some strong twists are great with some like Stephanie's dad felt forced in. I know this is a simulation meant to drive Steve insane. It still bags the question why folks. I don't think there's a known limit for your inventory.
Which in this style of games I do like. Do you wanna know what I really didn't like? There's a optional sex part you could do. If you do, Steve will get a disease that eats at his health. It is similar to the acid that gets on your clothes except you can get that off. I never played a game where you can die by a sexual disease.
Overall the sound effects are a hit & miss. I do enjoy the sound track to a degree. As stated before the acting itself isn't worth writing home about. Even the original Resident Evil had more rememberable voice acting. I did like the jumping chainsaw wielding clown. I haven't got to experience that since the original Dead Rising lol.

Jack Red reviews War of the Monsters
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, I used to own a lot of PlayStation 2 games. One of my favorite gems within my collection was War of the Monsters. Which you also can play after buying on PlayStation 4. It also in a bundle with Twisted Metal: Black and Kinetica for double the price. War of the Monsters despite it's similar with Godzila games and King of the Monsters series has no relations.
War of the Monsters is a rather unusual fighting game. Not like King of the Monsters playing more like a wrestling game then the follow up became a beat em up. Although some of it's ports maintains being a fighting game instead. No this took more influence from the 50s & 60s science fiction films. Yes there's some homage to Kaiju films of Japan.
One of my favorite easter eggs of any game is if you beaten Sweet Tooth's story in Twisted Metal: Black with it saved. The hidden fourth costume of Agamo is actually Mecha Sweet Tooth. I actually asked Dave Jaffe through his blog many years ago why this never got a sequel. He stated it just didn't sell enough.
I felt this game is a worthy rival to some of the newer Godzilla fighting games of the time. Most endings of the monsters is actually telling the origin. Very few of the endings do the purpose you expect it to. There's two hidden monsters that play differently from most of the roster. Yes you can face both of them in story mode.
Speaking of story mode there's a lot of fights with three crazy boss fights. Sadly you didn't play as any of the bosses. OMG the final boss is so tough to bring down since he has several phrases. The audio department is a solid master piece with amazing sound effects. War of the Monsters has a great variety of levels.
I also like you could do coop during the story mode. There's a couple colors for every monsters. You can't change Mecha Sweet Tooth but he does often laugh during the game play. Also he looks the most bad ass of the monsters. The levels themselves do variety in size but some have surprises you can easily miss.
This game predates Godzilla appearing on the console. I also like you can play it similar to Rampage series. Which is more fun than doing the same thing in King of the Monsters. I also like each monsters plays more differently from each other to spice up the game play. I hate to say it a lot of people have forgotten about this game.
War of the Monsters also seems to have more lively locations than King of the Monsters. I also like you can search for parts of buildings you can use as weapons. Some of the best weapons are well hidden that can be game changers. The boss fights can be a little too repetitive for some people's taste.
Let me explain, the second boss is a giant mutant plant. There are a few breaks that involves dealing with a multiple regular enemies. But this creature can easily get in cheap shots. If you make it far enough when you lose. Instead of completely restarting the fight, he will be almost defeated. The first boss after you learn the pattern ends up being surprisingly easy.
Although if you do attack at the wrong time you will lose a lot of health fast. The final boss is the leader of the alien using an unusual UFO infused machine. This guy has the most phrases out of all the bosses. It also took me the longest to defeat him taking me sometimes hours to do so. Sometimes I end up having rage quits yes I have those too thank you.
Overall War of the Monsters is a great fighting game with a lot of variety. I felt the best possible experience is playing against another player. Although attempting a coop run is also a lot of fun too. This game held it's own against Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee on GameCube & I believe another Godzilla game on Xbox.

Jack Red reviews Rampage series
Hi everyone I'm Jack Red, along with Mortal Kombat series there was another Midway franchise I love. Obviously Warner Brothers owns their games now but sadly haven't done much with Rampage. I only got to play four Rampage games only missing the time travel entry. I could break the rules to do a quick review based on my experience on an emulator playing it but I simply refuse.
Also I still haven't seen the movie. But I heard a lot of great things about it. I am starting to see a theme. If you expect popular games to get good movies to only end up with bad ones. But take a forgotten classics out of no where it gets a good movie. Now isn't that confusing or what lol.
1. Rampage
The original Rampage is a classic arcade game that's ported to many consoles. I got to play it through Midway Arcade Treasures 1 & Rampage: Total Destruction. The original version doesn't have a real end. Yes a common theme many 80s arcade games had. You play as George, Lizzie or Ralph to destroy cities.
Now that sounds simple enough but many things are trying to kill you. Thankfully you can play with two people. The sound design is alright at best. There isn't a lot of changes in the levels themselves. I am not going to lie it can fun for a little while. Then it could suddenly become boring to you. For me I can get up to almost eighty levels before that happens.
Rampage in some of it's ports was given an ending. In fact in Atari Lynx port, they added a fourth monster named Larry a giant mouse. There is no bosses anywhere in the entire game. There's also no mini games of any kind or a method to alter the level selection. I would say it is a fun game but it will take really wanting to technically beating the game.
Trust me it took me hours to get up to the highest numbered level before it resets to level 1. Honestly I like the concept of being giant monsters destroying cities. A concept done better than some Godzilla games that followed. I would say it's in the middle of the pack. I can only recommend it to fellow Rampage fans.
2. Rampage World Tour
There's exactly no hiding it, Rampage World Tour is hands down the best Rampage game. There's a long gap between the classic Rampage & this. At first you would think this is going to be horrible. Then wow this actually ends up being a great updated version. Despite the title as well as adding more cities in the world to destroy.
Yeah I should mention in the original Rampage you only destroy cities in the United States. This game really does take you around the world. How many games can you honestly say delivers on that? Rampage World Tour does have mini games even if you are playing alone. It will add competitive ones for players to face each other.
Thank god they made more of a effort to differ every single city. You also can at randomly find this icon that can alter where you are going now. Eventually no matter how often the path changes every single level has to be played. There's a hidden fourth monsters you can temporary play as named V. E. R. N. that flies around.
He also can instantly destroy small building while taking out a single floor of a building in one hit. He ends up being the best monster of the game. Now officially I owned this on N64 being the only port in the 90s to maintain the three players. I also got to play the arcade version through Midway Arcade Treasures & Rampage: Total Destruction.
This game is very addicting to play for what it brings to the table. Sure it technically isn't a master piece like so many games are regarded as. But for an updated version that came a long time after the original version being this good I'm impressed. Rampage World Tour is truly an unique experience more people need to play.
3. Rampage 2: Universal Tour
Believe it or not, Rampage World Tour got a sequel called Rampage 2: Universal Tour. This was released on a few platforms since it wasn't originally an arcade game. The roster adds four more monsters with one having three variations with their own names. Yeah kinda weird considering it's the giant alien monster.
We get a new giant mouse character named Curtis. It only has been a few years since Rampage on Atari Lynx port we had a giant mouse terrorizing people. I would have to say the best two monsters are Boris and whatever name you want for the alien. I also say that because the game will only let you through using codes to have only one alien at a time.
There is a way for two players having two different versions of the alien characters in game. Sadly there's no possible way to have all three in one place. I do like the details to some of the cities this time around. There isn't a lot of levels involving space. Considering Rare made Blast Corps that also attempts a similar concept as hidden levels on Nintendo 64.
I felt that nailed being in the universe much more. Even if it is a vehicular destruction game. Rampage 2: Universal Tour is still a good sequel. Unfortunately beyond this entry the franchise starts to get worse. This game does have some great elements to keep it refreshing for awhile. Sure it won't be a home run like the previous entry but it's miles better than what followed afterwards.
4. Rampage: Total Destruction
OMG how did they screw up Rampage so frickin bad? I only have one positive thing to say about it. As stated earlier on, the first two Rampage games are also playable. In the Wii version, there's more levels & monsters added. Sadly none of that helps the game in fact it further drowns the legacy. They attempted what felt like an incomplete 3D experience that comes more awkward.
I quickly got confused if I was doing any real damage to just one building. Oh yeah you know it's bad when something as simple as damaging a building isn't exactly clear. The levels play more like rounds than how the other Rampage games does it. This by itself replaces breaks for in between the levels further taking away from the experience.
Let's be honest, Rampage always done well with a small roster. But wow why is there so many monsters in this one I'll never know. Also a lot of them are too similar to other monsters. This could affect coop game play since some monsters are very similar in how they play. When this happens in a fighting game it quickly takes away from playing it.
But considering it happened in this game, I felt more like they just wanted an excuse to have more monsters. I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up rushing the game out. Even the controls are a total mess. For something that usually relies on getting the controls simple & easy to memorize. They sure didn't do a great job at using the Wii remote & nunchuck.
I felt like I needed to tie my shoes than actually playing an Rampage game. There's not enough variety in every possible category. This game would've been a lot better with more work done on the controls with a much smaller roster of monsters. I loss interest in record time playing this abomination.
Also I still haven't seen the movie. But I heard a lot of great things about it. I am starting to see a theme. If you expect popular games to get good movies to only end up with bad ones. But take a forgotten classics out of no where it gets a good movie. Now isn't that confusing or what lol.
