For starters, you're going to do a lot of things so often. By the end of the process you'll memorize them all in great details. There's eighty overall in game achievements you'll need to get. If you want the hardest actual achievement this collection offers. You really gotta do everything across four flash games. These aren't short in length either.
You can expect a couple hours at best. This is to be expected for all four Decision games. This differs from many flash game theme compilation games. Where either all of them are short in length or one of them being a few hours longer than the rest. This is critical you got to be very aware about missable achievements in the first two Decision games.
Unlike Decision 3 & Medieval, you will be forced to fully restart from scratch among missing em. Which can be quite annoying I recently had such a set back in Decision 1 yesterday. Very few in game achievements has glitches that could prevent you from getting em to a degree. The one glitch you should avoid is buying store glitch.
Although you could use it to help speed up getting the upgrades. Just make sure don't get the final upgrades. Unless you plan to do another mission right afterwards. If you buy those upgrades then exit game your saves. You maintain your in game money amount but prevented getting those achievements. This also recently happened to me.
A large amount of the in game achievements is really grindy at it's core. You gotta kill enemies in many ways. There's a few obstacles with each of those kill achievements. In Decision 1, any kill achievement you got left. I strongly advised before completing out sections of the map. You replay the missions until unlocked em.
Also don't fully max out towers and factories. This will prevent you from fully completing out those sections. When you do complete em you no longer can do Clean-up missions. In other words any achievements requiring missions like that done. Suddenly prevents you from getting those particular achievements.
Thankfully this isn't an issue with the rest of the lineup. I noticed while looking online for a few achievements. In particular finding ATMs and store houses. I got two major advices for this. Make sure you absolutely check everywhere. If you destroyed ATMs they will respawn. Even the ones you already claimed.
Along with store houses in Decision: Medieval. There's these sections outside the route of the map. Two missions across three of the games. Which you could miss unlocking if you aren't careful. Their icons on the maps is an red enemy head. You also gotta search these locations for those. I was quite surprised when I found em during these missions.
Just in case anyone was wondering yes this also applies to finding hiding spots as well. I actually considered finding those more frustrating in comparison. Although the last two Decision games made that process much easier. Again you gotta take your time with a lot of stuff. Especially you want the hardest achievement this collection offers.
Up till recently I took it upon myself to write an guide how to get Reconnoniter achievement in Decision 1. Don't worry I will be linking down below. I also added some stuff earlier in today. I can confirm this guide quickly helped me get right back where I was. I just hope this helps more people getting such an frustration achievement.
For those that doesn't know Reconnoniter rushes you to get through the entire map within 40 days. Following my guide you'll be in the final section by Day 38. I also recommend at least three towers being each weapon. Later on you can easily swap em out if you want. These sections are great for getting more kills for the bigger kill count achievements.
If the meters is too high on those sections. Make sure you're upgraded enough to do Clean-up missions instead. Two of the games has two enemy armies you'll deal with. Despite how similarities Mutants acts to Orcs. Not to mention the Werewolf enemies originally on zombies' side in Decision 2. I also recommend those outside sections or Clean-up missions helps with mastering out weapon skills.
This excludes the original Decision 1. You still can upgrade by buying em in that game. I also love both Medieval and 3 has New Game Plus. Which does carry over your achievements. Preventing you from restarting fully from scratch. Decision 3 forces you to constantly manage people around. You gotta locate people within the missions or bases.
This by itself notably slows the game down a lot. It's critical you gather up a lot of people. Especially builders, captains and engineers respectively. I really wish I known this much sooner. I finally realize too late into an run that's what you're suppose to do. Three of these Decision games has people you'll need to locate then escort.
They bring several upgrades you can go for. Although a particular master in Decision: Medieval could glitch among finishing out that mission. Which actually happened to me twice. If this happens you could try again in your next run. Keep in mind, New Game Plus runs are automatically on Hard+ difficulty.
Not having any of them limits what you could do in the game. An handful of skills are very critical to have. It's a little tricky to have those skills upgraded twice early into the runs. A little research you'll know which skills I'm talking about. Mostly Engineering, Hacking and Unlocking respectively. You also need to figure out how to get sections unlocked.
This by itself could cause confusion. Not to mention, slows you down. More directly speed bumps above everything else. Don't worry these games will let you know when you gotten those sections. Sadly they won't tell you what you need to do to unlock em. In all honestly you quickly get used to that. The difficulty will noticeably spike at times.
Yes I'm looking at you Decision 3!!! This Decision game loves being an constant pain in your buttocks. You often get stun locked by enemies. The later portions will have a lot of tougher enemies including Trolls. Which is also true with Decision: Medieval. Expect a series of endurance matches. Decision 3 also has two top monster bosses.
I highly recommend being close to or simply get maxed on every upgrade. Trust me you're going to need it against those bosses. Those sections I previously mentioned has em too. Thank god they don't force you to face both boss monsters at once. I also recommend taking notes to prevent future major set backs.
You also need to keep track of your in game money as well. It's the easiest to keep track of in Decision 1 since it's just your money that's it. Two of the later games requires more than money to get stuff done. This heavily plays into managing people in Decision 3. I also recommend the first two Decision games try to stay on top of most enemies within tower missions.
You might be focus in one spot with a lot of enemies. But you may notice your meter starts to go down. Suddenly you're force to make a choice. Stay focus where you're at or take a huge chance to deal with another spot filled enemies? It also depends how high the meter on each section is. It's very low then these missions should be incredibly easy.
If they are around half way to higher. These missions can be quite challenging to complete. If that ever happens I recommend doing Clean-up missions. At least if you fail it's more on you than the game being incredibly cheap. Not to say the game couldn't be during Clean-up missions either. Most of them has people you'll need to train.
Some of them also allows you to buy mercenaries or personally select people within your team. Which is kinda awesome Decision 3 does that!!! Just don't expect the dream team to own everything. A lot of times they easily get owned themselves. Then again if you're upgraded enough you should be fine. I hope all of this information helps someone get every achievement within Decision Legacy Collection.
