Jack Red reviews One Piece: World Seeker (Steam)

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red aka XboxClown89, among some great deals the last game I bought during it. One Piece: World Seeker, I wanted to play this for a few years now. I am also thankful Steam has the option to label parts of your game library how you want. For example including Jump Force with five One Piece games makes up my One Piece Collection.

One Piece: World Seeker centers on Luffy stopping Isaac who owns an island as well as works with the world government. He is all about using technology, which brings up a point no one else ever brought up. Parts of this game is similar to the movie, One Piece: The Giant Mechanical Soldier of Karakuri Castle.

Both Isaac and Ratchet rules over an island that are inventors. When they both face Luffy, they are using a machine they pilot for the final battle. Despite this, World Seeker is a very different story from that movie. By default, you play as Luffy in the main game itself. If you own the additional story dlcs, you get three more fan favorite characters in their own stories to play as.

In most categories, they did an amazing job with this game. Compared to Unlimited: World Red, the hub world isn't as lively in comparison. Also like that game, this acts as an filler arc. I compared these two games since they're made by the same company. I can't help I'm more impressed by Unlimited: World Red.

Like the fighting works fine with an easy to work upgrade system. It's way better from both Burning Blood and Jump Force in comparison. I felt a handful of bosses are incredibly cheap at times. Like an open world game, there's plenty to do. There is some variety you can do within the mission. It just doesn't get Unlimited: World Red interesting.

The map is easy to use with fast travel spots. Some objectives aren't clear what you need to do at times. Like a particular changes happens then suddenly you got to figure out where to go. There's a good variety of locations to explore. There's a lot of characters that appears even for a short period of time.

I should mention added in for free is a boss rush mode. Luffy is fun to play at this, I just felt he was better in Unlimited: World Red respectfully. Yes even this game has two forms of Fourth Gear. The faster one is used as a powerful finisher. You can use haki to find stuff which is oddly similar to a particular mechanic from Batman: Arkham series.

You can tell those Batman games were a major inspiration in how this game plays. You can get on the Thousand Sunny as well. I also like you can change outfits during the game including dlc ones. This ended up being one of the easier One Piece games to play. I do have to complain about it's one of those games strict when you are away from mission areas.

Even got a little too far, not by much I added will cause you to instantly fail a mission. Some enemies are tougher than others in their own way. One Piece: World Seeker does feel like an adventure. Now that's a great thing considering the story itself is one huge adventure itself. The controls including using an controller was done just right.

Jack Red reviews Jump Force again

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red aka XboxClown89, last time I reviewed Jump Force was a few years ago. Keep in mind, back then that was Xbox One version. This time I'm reviewing the Steam version plus every dlc to make it a more definitive review of an anniversary game. Jump Force is best sum up as a mixed bag experience.

Jump Force centers on your avatar character who nearly dies very early in the game. The only way to save you was transform you into a hero. You get to work with a lot of iconic characters from Shonen Jump's past. There's a long list for even naming every franchise represent in this game. I prefer to go over the good before the bad since I got a lot to talk about on the not great stuff.

For the most part, the artwork is mostly solid. The selection of characters especially adding in dlc ones is amazingly good. Also you can increase your level cap in those missions by winning those fights. Yes you can customize your character for the most part how you want. You also can easily access missions at a few spots around the hub area.

The sound effects to me are more decent than the actual music. Before I talk about all the problems I had with this. Next month, this game with every dlc will be removed from all digital stores. Later this year in August, online support for the game will be shut down. Alright now it's time to bash this game's head in.

The controls were alright on Xbox One version. But on Steam version, I still do not know how to block. I actually went through the campaign with multiple losses not blocking even once. Not only that it didn't register my controller either making it even worse. So I had a rough time trying to play the game.

They did add in missions with dlc characters. Sadly the story itself is actually more forgivable than Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. There is virtually no variety within the main missions at all. It's too fighting based with no real way to spice it up. Oh wait that's not entirely true because the first phase of the final boss fight, you don't have powers.

Which means you can't do anything other than the basics against a very cheap opponent. Sounds like fun right? Well guess what you bet it sure wasn't game developers. There's more going on the other missions not connected to the story. You also fight a lot of the same characters repeatedly. The campaign doesn't just drag on, it means you even sick of all the fighting.

Which is the direct opposite what a fighting game meant to do. Considering this came from Bandai Namco, responsible for both Tekken and SoulCalibur series. I expected much better than this garbage. I will praise the selection of dlc characters. However I also can argue a handful of them should've already been in the game like Law or Grimmjow.

There isn't that many stages either but they all look nice at least. Jump Force is even beaten in comparison to Sonic Forces in a couple of ways. For starters, that does have a more interesting story. More rememberable moments as well as better boss fights. More in depth customization of your avatar character.

Even Episode Shadow that's three stages where you play as Shadow was fine. More fine than the constant fighting with the story being a major missed opportunity. If you expected some interactions with the characters, go look somewhere else. Not only that, the difficulty spikes a lot especially late into the campaign.

You do get to choose which team you work for. Obviously I chose Captain Luffy but Goku would've been my second choice. The ending is kinda lackluster even with one character twist that stood out a bit. Honestly, as much I love anime in general. This game really isn't worth killing myself over.

I played more decent One Piece & Dragon Ball games. Hell a friend let me try out Jump Super Stars on DS, which was way better in comparison. Keep in mind, that's an handheld game. This was released on a few platforms that's no excuse for that. Even for an 50th anniversary game to represent Shonen Jump.

Jack Red reviews One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 (Steam)

Hello everyone I'm Jack Red aka XboxClown89, today I will be reviewing a particular licensed game I always wanted to play. I finally got a golden opportunity during late 2021 to score this with Jump Force. Also within the same deal, One Piece: World Seeker. Which will get it's own review as well a revisit review on Jump Force since it's the Steam version with dlcs I missed out on.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is a follow up to One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3. Another truly amazing One Piece game indeed. I didn't think they would push the limits as much as this. There's stages so filled with enemies that isn't much gaps between you or them at times. They greatly improved the upgrade system that also has separation sections for that character.

Yes this game is very replayable with Free Log letting you play who ever you want on any stage. There's a few chapters with the last one being an original one taking place in Wano. Honestly, I'm deeply impressed they gave us a game so faithful to it's source material. I really don't think not even could top this I'm not kidding.

There's a lot more playable characters from the previous entry. Of course, some old story while focusing on different sections at times to change it up. The bosses is mostly fair with a handful being surprisingly cheap at times. This is a long but very satisfying game. I would even say this is one of the very best licensed games I ever played period.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is truly mind blowing. You get exactly what you want especially if you're a fellow One Piece fan. This game doesn't only scream it very loud, even one breath comes a roar. I'm not going to lie, this game is beautifully designed in every category. I did have some issues with the camera in game.

Despite not being able to use my controller, the keyboard controls worked incredibly well. So this was a minor issue compared to some One Piece games I owned on Steam. I can't even praise this game enough. It does everything very right with even it's big flaws aren't really that big at all. What I am saying for me this comes as close to being the perfect One Piece game imaginable.

You also got to buy dlcs but thankfully you got a few ways doing that. It's not as big in terms of adding more what if stories like in the previous entry. But you get even more characters you kinda want to play. It is surprisingly well balance mostly fair level of challenge. I felt when I loss, I loss on my own not because of how flawed the game was.

Oh wait that would be the opposite for Jump Force, yeah you might want to hear me out on that newer review soon. Back to this, This felt like a true love letter to the fans. I hope this very team gets to make one long entry covering the entire manga. Which by itself is a very tall order. But considering most entries are well received, I bet it will be well worth the wait.

Honestly, this game is really that damn good. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is in every sense of the word. One of the absolutely greatest anime games I ever period. To clarify, there isn't many that followed under the same category like Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3. I highly recommend this game especially to fellow One Piece fans.
