The Menu (2022) spoiler free review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, here's a movie that nearly passed my radar. Until a commercial one night, it peak my interest. A few youtubers in videos talked a lot about a particular movie. I would even say the most mess up movie that isn't a horror movie I seen this year. Of course, I'm here to review The Menu.

The Menu (2022)

This is a difficult movie to review without spoilers. The short version of the story, it's about a group of people going to an exclusive dinner event hosted by a world famous chef. The Menu is very true to the title in a nut shell. I felt everyone that appears in this movie especially actor Ralph Fiennes knocks it out the park here.

This movie is a good mix of thriller because it does play on suspense. It also does have some dark comedy aspects as well. Honestly, The Menu quickly got good, it kept getting more interesting. By the end of the movie, no spoilers what happens here. You are likely mind blown how it plays out. If you aren't familiar with terms in the cooking world, you may get confuse.

Here's a movie that takes itself very seriously. It's also a movie that doesn't hide such raw emotions. The Menu is filled with good surprises. You bet I would rewatch this movie in the near future. This movie is truly amazing in how it delivers on all fronts. I would even say this is one of the finest 2022 movies I seen this year.

The Menu could appeal to those not within the food world or watch cooking shows in general. There's a lot of notable stars in this movie. Like John Leguizamo, whose also going to appear in the upcoming Violent Night month coming out in early December. Now notice I'm not going to directly talk about characters otherwise I have to spoil things.

I strongly felt this is a movie you really shouldn't spoil or have someone spoil it for you before watching. In that regard, a first watch will be incredibly effective stuff here. There's little to no boring scenes in this movie. The Menu is a rather different take on cooking theme stories I'm not used to seeing. You would think with a lot of stuff I watched over the years, I would be.

Surprisingly, not in this particular case. Even I confess some of the movie itself really caught me off guard. It's a movie, that knows how to get your attention then keep it until the ending. A good sign of a great movie. I would also say Fiennes went the full distance with his role here. Fiennes is in a lot of great movies over the years, so no surprise he brought it here.

In all honestly, this movie was so unexpected. I quickly knew trying to do this spoiler free is harder than expected. The best describe of the movie itself itself is there's more going on than you realize. Each course has a different surprise for those dining in the restaurant. The Menu is a movie that doesn't just goes quickly to business, it finishes like a boss!!!

Truthfully, the review would be a lot longer if I allowed spoilers in. I really wanted to challenge myself but also respect those who still haven't seen the film by doing this. The Menu is a movie that knows exactly what it is. Which may scare some people away. I promise you this isn't a horror movie but it does come close to being one at times.

Nightmare of Decay review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, today is a game I found while trying to decide. Which games to get for my birthday, one of them was Cultic. I also gotten the rest of the games for Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium. The last game in that purchase was Nightmare of Decay. I finally dive right in indie games heavily inspired by Resident Evil series.

Nightmare of Decay (2022)

The beginning as well as the ending felt heavily inspired by Silent Hill 4: The Room. More directly exploring the apartment room in first person. I even say this looked better than that in comparison. As soon as the nightmare begins, it quickly started to felt like classic Resident Evil games. In most aspects, it felt just like those PS1 RE games many fans still play to this day.

Keep in mind, you are playing through the nightmare in first person mode. There are several classic RE references through out the game. Like the main hall looked very similar to that of Code: Veronica on Rockfort Island. A few enemies like zombies, zombie dogs, giant spiders and knight like enemies. They even hid an enemy reference to RE4's Regenerator.

Surprisingly tough enemy isn't a boss in the game. All the bosses do have health bars with their names present. Personally, I felt the most difficult boss fight was the three knights. Another boss creature is a bigger spider, a few RE boss references there. The one boss I wasn't even expecting is a killer rabbit. This could've been a reference to a particular Monty Python movie.

Which the game Shadow Warrior classic version openly references that too. Also expect to die a lot in this game. I would say the difficulty at best I played it on Normal. Normal quickly felt like Hard to me. I was struggling in a few ways which I will touch on shortly. Not only that, sometimes getting a few stuff you don't know what to do next.

You get a few weapons mostly the expected stuff in older RE games. Ammo can be a little hard to find at times. Thankfully, later on you do get a crowbar. Which takes time getting use to but helps in taking out zombies. Audio wise, all of it is done amazingly well. You do get an map to help get your way through. There's some puzzles but a good amount of stuff that requires things is mostly straight forward.

You also get a lot of save locations. Unlike classic RE games, nothing is required. So you can save as much as you want. There's a good variety of areas as you explore. You also got to deal with cultists, a reference to RE4 & possibly Blood on DOS. There's a locked room with a psychopath you could kill if you wanted to.

Like RE4, a little hidden are two shooting gallery mini games. Personally, the later ones is my favorite. A huge tip, use the pallet gun for these to not waste ammo. Unlike RE4, you will lose ammo using them in these mini games. Both of them has three prizes depending on your score. Yes it is possible to get all three prizes in a single go.

The difficulty was similar enough to the PS1 RE games for the most part. You will keep running into this black cat that talks to you. Yes you heard correctly, a black cat is your only ally. It is easy to get confuse where to go or being so low on ammo limiting your options. Which the later kept happening to me. You also get to see some surprising moments like a few suicides.

The game does the horror aspect incredibly well. You also can read files you come across. They do reference the card shape keys from RE2. You actually get to use most of them on a handful of doors. You also need to find bolt cutters. Which is becoming more commonly use in RE games. The game itself has plenty of surprises you won't expect.

There's a mess up side quest, you meet a creature in a wall. They simply want three female heads to collect. So you have the option to locate those missing heads then place them correctly. The magnum takes a little longer than expected to fire. You can sprint from enemies but be careful to not use too much of it or get grabbed by another enemy.

Speaking of that, it is very possible ganged up by enemies to die a lot faster in this game. You can use the famous shotgun trick done a little differently here. It's a bit mixed when you get grabbed. The only times you wanna get grabbed is if you're about to hit them with the crowbar or a powerful firearm. The enemy placement overall is mostly done incredibly well, little to none felt cheap to me.

You have no idea how bad I wanted to relive the feeling of classic RE games recently. I truly felt that through Nightmare of Decay. Stuff like this, I will keep a closer eye on indie horror games. Yes I'm aware youtuber Markiplier also played this game in a few YouTube videos. Among beating the game is a few modes to play.

The title itself is virtually perfect for the game. Some sections felt like reliving classic RE locations in a nut shell. This felt like they took the PS1 RE games remixed them into an awesome first person horror game. Clearly, the team behind this loves Resident Evil series. I can't necessary call this an RE clone game.

There's a major difference between knock off games & games inspired by them. Knock offs makes some changes but kept what they're pulling from RE like Cold Fear or Countdown Vampires. Games inspired by Resident Evil series felt like true fans recreated those RE memories through their own games.

Hell to even get this on Steam, I give respect to the team. I am not going to lie, my issues with the game aren't game breaking neither the difficulty simply too high. It's just a game you may want to use a guide most likely video walkthrough of the game. Trust me, watching some of it will go a long way here. I also liked one particular chest so happens to be a creature too.

Nightmare of Decay is absolutely mind blowing awesomeness. This is how I wanna relive the glory days of Resident Evil. The graphics sorta similar enough to PS1 RE games. Obviously, this made Resident Evil Survivor even worse because this was the real way of doing the same concept. Yes I'm sure a lot of people within RE community already knows about this game.

I say this is hands down an absolute must own/must play game. I would even say for being five bucks, this felt more like a game worth ten bucks or a little higher to me. So I quickly felt the price is great right off the bat. Nightmare of Decay is a truly amazing survival horror game that works incredibly well.

Cultic review

 Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, today I get to review a game that nearly went pass my radar. Until a friend of mine told me about it. Easily, one of the finest indie games I played all year. I played some amazing games this year too. One of my birthday games, I'm here to review Cultic. Does the game live up to hype or fall flat in it's grave?

Cultic (2022)

Cultic was developed by one person. Last time I reviewed a great game developed by one person was UnMetal. Cultic is heavily inspired by Blood as well as a few Wolfenstein games respectively. The story from what I gathered is a man ended up taking on a cult by himself. During this insane endurance, he uncovers the cult's plan to revive a creature.

The general plot ends up being similar to Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. Obviously going by the title, most of your enemies are cultists. Which by itself is very similar to Blood. Some of the animations especially death ones are similar to those from Blood too. Like burning enemies to death, they will run around screaming.

I should point out this isn't the full game. There are plans to make an second episode campaign. Considering in the near future, I will be finalizing my epic Games of 2022 list. I felt this quickly makes up for not being a full game. In fact, I don't even mine having to buy additional episodes for this game. Why because this first episode is mind blowing awesomeness.

There's ten levels that's bigger in scale from a lot of older FPS games on the same engine. Build engine with a long list of classics like Duke 3D, Blood and a few others. There's a lot of enemies in this game too. Two particular levels at a point you will not be able to save state your way through. The boss fights works well enough to get the job done.

The weapons are surprisingly all fun to use. There's a lot of violence in this game. Parts of the game play felt like Wolfenstein series. Like some of the weapons works similar to the same exact weapons in that series. The game does give you a lot of ammo as well as health mostly from fallen enemies. So I felt most of the challenge was fair.

The level designs felt like Redneck Rampage series in a few ways. But not the ways you're thinking of. The general scale like the size or the additional depth within the levels. Not to mention, how the bosses shows up for the most part. I also liked because there's so many enemies. You have to use more of other weapons.

I played a lot of similar FPS games, most of them if you play it just right. You could dominate them with mostly using one gun no lie. In that regard, I respected you had to do that often. Also don't even consider rushing in. Most huge areas have a good ratio of enemy types to quickly make that a bad idea. You do need to find key items, mostly differs.

A large amount of key items is keys. Cultic also lay out files you can read. Even if you picked it up but quickly got it off screen. You can still view the files you didn't fully read the first time at any given time, I love that. The soundtrack itself is amazing work. The sound effects are some of the finest I ever heard off that engine.

Some level designs like the one that mostly becomes burning later on including walls & pillars are very nicely done. Some of the enemies felt like those in Killing Time. The way the levels ends is a little not what I was expecting. Usually on FPS games for that engine you'll just get score screen before moving onto the next level.

Here the game play slows down while changing colors becoming blueish then score screen comes up. Cultic is a truly refreshing FPS game. You also get additional modes to play after beating it the first time. You need to quickly adapt to survive in this game. Level 6 is one big endurance test. You got to fight a lot of enemies until the tank boss shows up.

Thankfully, that's one of two check points in the stage. The enemies do not stop coming either. I should point out tank boss is one of a very few bosses to have an health bar. You'll need to use explosives to damage the tank. Honestly, this is a boss fight you wouldn't expect back in the day for Build engine FPS games.

You also find these stations to upgrade your weapons. You'll need to find weapon parts, some are well hidden too. Yes the upgrades do help out a lot. Of course, everyone has their own play style that works for them. I'm more of let's kill enemies fast. Explosives are your best friend because a good usage can kill a lot of enemies at once.

Some kills will slow things down for a short period of time. The most awesome version is when you blow a few enemies' heads clean off with the shotgun. Cultic is a true master piece among indie FPS games. I would even say as of a few years ago, I'm noticing more interesting games within indie developers.

The final boss fight is virtually a similar concept to the final boss of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. Both even begins with a similar enough cut scene. Where the enemy leader attempts to control the creature but ends up getting killed by it instead. A major difference is in Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, your enemies suddenly became allies for this one boss fight.

Both games also ends after killing the final boss too. A few levels doesn't have any secrets either. I'm debatable on modern FPS games how I like em. But retro style wise it's either classic Doom games or good Build FPS games. Of course, there's a few notable exceptions like GoldenEye on Nintendo 64. Cultic is a game that really delivers in an action packed FPS game.

In every possible way, this game is done incredibly well. The closest criticism I have that may or may not get improve on is attempting to go up stairs. I don't have as much trouble going down the stairs. For some reason, when you try going up em, you have to be careful to not fall off the stairs. Other than that, wow Cultic is a must own/must play game.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, Not to long ago I reviewed one of the original Adult Swim shows. I'm back with a bigger review than I originally previously planned. I had to go the distance here. Today I will be reviewing Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I may do a follow up blog post covering left over stuff of the franchise.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force (2000-2015)

Not a lot of people knows Master Shake, Frylock and Meatwad originally appeared on another show. Just in one episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Unlike most original Adult Swim shows, it's entirely new footage show. Once in a while they do reference some franchises from Hanna-Barbera productions. Like Sealab 2021, the episodes are around 11 minutes long.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force is a show I really got a lot to talk about. I am not going to hide this show can be quite offensive to women, African American and more. There's eleven season worth of crazy events. I should point out Seasons 8-11, they changed the name of the show. They also notably changed the opening intro including songs.

This might be a little difficult to believe, this show makes the craziest Sealab 2021 seems not that crazy. No I'm dead serious, they do some amazing stupid stuff. A bigger variety of stuff happens including different creatures. Seasons 1 & 2 the show starts with these out there jokes with Dr. Weird. There's plenty of moments you likely won't see elsewhere.

Sometimes they alter the animation or style of the show during episodes. I will say humor wise it's mostly constant for a show on the air that long. This is one of the longest shows Adult Swim ever aired. We are talking shows they made not those made for other channels or streaming services. Aqua in their name actually comes from swimming their neighbor's pool.

Speaking of neighbors, they only have one neighbor named Carl. A handful of episodes can be quite racist especially the episode Shake Like Me. They even made hotdog balloon Nazis with Hitler on the show, sadly not joking about that. Like Sealab 2021, continuity is more of their own thing. But a few select things sticks to canon.

All the main characters dies a lot on the show. I should directly talk about the team themselves. Meatwad has the simple mind like that of a child. Frylock is the smartest, most mature character on the show. Of course, we gotta talk about the leader himself Master Shake. I am going to do something I never thought I was going to do.

I personally give the award of Biggest Animated Prick to Master Shake. He has a lot of not great stuff going for him making Master Shake the exact opposite of a leader likely the joke itself. He has done some truly unspeakable things especially to Meatwad. This guy is the very definition of being someone ugly in the inside.

A very large amount of things happens around their house as well as Carl's. There are times they got to places just not as often as a lot of animated sitcom shows. There are some occasions they went out to space. Including a "planet" but most of a giant banana that's already in space with well space monkeys. I do like their creativity at times.

It's a great thing continuity itself isn't set in stone. They can do as much stories as they want as long it doesn't fully become canon. In other words, they can die as much as they want. At the same time, they mysteriously come back like nothing happened. I am going to miss this show, I do regret leaving it a couple years ago when it still was airing episodes on TV.

I felt they nearly done everything they possibly could do. Space Ghost Coast to Coast also lasted 11 Seasons. One short story with Dr. Weird, you spot a dead Space Ghost. Not to mention, his voice over in that as well as Cartoon Planet voices a lot on this show too. I should point out blood & gore wise, this show doesn't hold back from that.

They do reference The Brak Show as well. I say this is way better than that show. It's almost like a more comical JoJo's Bizarre Adventure experience. You may not wanna see some of these events. Of course, you may even be surprise by some of the jokes they pull. What I can say for sure is they do go the full distance with their concepts.

Second to last episode is like two episodes right after each other in length. Some episodes are surprisingly well done. Honestly, here's a show you really shouldn't take seriously. This was like Rick & Morty in a few ways before Adult Swim gotten that show. The disgusting parts are truly difficult to stomach.

I confess the only intro I didn't like was Season 8. I did like some of the jokes within that intro though. My favorite character ends up being Frylock. Honestly, this show sure gets wild in it's own right. Some episodes are parties of madness it only gets crazier. Aqua Teen Hunger Force sounds like a superhero show but isn't.

I say that's more of a direct parody of the format. Which I can respect way more over the more recent version of Powerpuff Girls that completely moved away from superhero stories altogether. I also got to mention a particular episode that never got aired on TV. The first episode of Season 5, also one of the creator's favorite episodes.

Some unpleasant news came to Cartoon Network following nearly airing this now controversial episode. They ended up treating the second episode of that season as if it were the season premiere episode. This show is easily one of the craziest from Adult Swim I ever seen hands down. Strangely it works all the way up to the final episode.

Yes they even made a joke about it's cancelation. I prefer how they done it than Sealab 2021. I also respect all of this is entirely original animation. There was a time this used to be Adult Swim's longest show, now Robot Chicken got the record. I even confess I prefer that over this show myself. I will say this you aren't living if you don't want this show.

Sealab 2021 review

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, today I'm going back to a particular era. In this case, early Adult Swim for those who remembered. They used to show people moving around the pool often. They started with a handful of cartoon shows. Among them was Sealab 2021, one of the craziest among their early shows. Not as crazy as Aqua Teen Hunger Force at times, it does come close.

Sealab 2021 (2000-2005)

I got a story to tell before I can start the review properly. It was common some shows would reuse footage from other shows with additional footage. A lot of Power Rangers show done this. The big joke from the very beginning is two guys took Sealab 2020, a boring 70s cartoon. They made changes to the show now under the title Sealab 2021.

They actually edit in their voice overs with a new theme song. It took two separate attempt pitches to get the show to happen. Originally, Cartoon Network wasn't interested. Right around when Adult Swim was getting started, things changed. Personally, I rather watch Sealab 2021 over Sealab 2020 any day. Now I got that over with it, time for the review.

They don't just update things, they actually made it crazy at times. It's amazing how filled of stupid moments this show was. One episode was mostly done in one firm animation until late into the same episode. Which was a power outage episode. This show can get quite disgusting as well as offensive at times.

This was the beginning of more similar shows becoming that way thanks to shows like South Park & Family Guy. There's a lot of rememberable characters, my favorite always has been Captain Murphy. He does get replaced later in the show, his replacement is fine. It just isn't the same with the captain to me. This guy is incredibly stupid yet rememberable at the same time.

The show itself mostly takes place in Sealab, thousands of miles beneath the sea. They do reference some older cartoons at times. They also reference Aqua Teen Hunger Force a few times as well. As for continuity, well there technically isn't a canon one. Very few major things remained after all the crazy things happened.

They didn't hold back making the show as ridiculous as possible. There's plenty of wtf moments in the show. Sealab 2021 had the right mix of balance especially when they used old footage. Which is rather tricky to do while making a new show out of a old one. Like most original Adult Swim shows, they do parodied some stuff from Sealab 2020 episodes directly.

There's an episode with two guys that ultimately couldn't be saved because they didn't bring enough wetsuits. Some of these characters are amazingly stupid including Stormy. They even had evil doppelgangers with their name largely a reference to DC comics Bizarro & similar characters. We even get Sharko whose half man, half shark I'm not kidding.

You wouldn't believe how many times Sealab itself got destroyed. Multiple times in a time loop episode. They played on a lot of jokes especially The Matrix. Let's say it's truly amazing Sealab lasts longer than a day sometimes lol. There's two female characters named Debbie too. This show is vastly different from the very show it's directly parodying.

A major difference from other original Adult Swim cartoon shows that pulled footage as well as references from older shows. Sealab 2021 itself didn't directly involve Hanna-Barbera into the show. William Street, 70/30 Productions and Radical Axis made Sealab 2021. This was because how they went about making the show in the first place, not to risk a lawsuit.

They confessed in anger stealing some footage of Sealab 2020 to alter it without permission. The first crazy thing to happened with the show before it even got on the air. Sealab 2021 is a show you may have to turn your brain off for a good time. Some episodes gets so crazy over stupid things, you just wanna enjoy the madness unfolding.

They also work with some sea animals not often though. They even made a parody of Predator in an episode. Sealab 2021 isn't afraid to piss certain people off either especially late into the show. Obviously, this is an adult sitcom show. The original cartoon show it's based on was more about them researching people.

A notable tread in that era Hanna-Barbera shows at the time including Super Friends. Sealab 2020 is like the overly nice person that quickly you find boring after a few minutes. Now Sealab 2021 is almost life of the party at times. This show gets so nuts at times, it's very hard to take it seriously. Thankfully, the big joke was never meant to take it seriously in the first place helps.

Sealab 2021 is a show I always wanted to fully watch. Yes I do remembered it back on TV years ago. Why would I be reviewing it out of nostalgia if I haven't? Of course I wouldn't that would defeat the entire purpose doing the actual review here. Sealab 2021 is a show loves over presentation a fast food restaurant ads like no tomorrow.

There are times stuff happens away from Sealab. They even confessed someone played a particular character of race who wasn't that race on the show. Back then, this wasn't much of a topic. As of a few years ago however, some of the big name animated sitcom shows. Well they had to replace voice actors that's the character's race in real life.

Obviously, if the show would've kept going it could've gotten canceled over this. Thank god, it didn't last longer than a few seasons. Essentially the golden years of Adult Swim. This was before they started airing anime shows as well as anime movies. Sealab 2021 also has one of the weirdest endings I ever seen in a show.

They do an episode where they talk about a sequel to a movie no footage is shown. They also talked about their show as well as remembering their original captain. Which was something I deeply enjoyed. They go into commercial break near the end. Sadly this is where things gets a bit weird. Adult Swim is known for airing bumpers with messages during commercials.

In this race occasion, they included one saying the show was over with thank you for watching. To me, it's still a fun final episode. At the same time ending it like that kinda makes you a bit upset or confused. I realized I absolutely love this show, it's not for everyone. No it is more meant for people who wanna see some crazy stuff happens even if it's borderline stupidity.

Sealab 2021 is a classic among early Adult Swim show. No I don't plan on reviewing all of them. I simply don't have that much time on my hands for such a huge project. If things works out I may do another classic Adult Swim show that's still being talked about today. Sealab 2021, I'm glad it actually exists.

They turn a boring show into one of the most refreshing cartoon shows of it's era. Yes the stories are all over the place since a lot of characters dies a lot on the show. The entire point is they wanted to do all these mess up jokes. No matter how they had to go about reaching the punchline. Some of them are quite below the belt too.

Sealab 2021 is a show that knows exactly what it is. There are some moments they do reference some select stuff about their own stuff. More recently shows like Big Mouth on Netflix is doing the same thing. Not only that, I will give credit working with footage from 70s can be tricky. Of course, there's a good amount of new footage too.

Sealab 2020 itself lasted one season with fifteen episodes with two more unaired episodes. Sealab 2021 out done that with four seasons with a total of fifty two episodes. Keep in mind, Sealab 2020 episodes are around twenty minutes compared to Sealab 2021 episodes being around 10 to 11 minutes. If Adult Swim proven anything, they absolutely nailed the shorter length episodes.

You may even be surprised some of the episodes they do on this show. I'll give an example, Captain Murphy gets trapped under an venting machine. He gets accompanied by a scorpion & a cleaning robot. His crew was away for a year doing stuff. So Captain Murphy went through Hell on his own. They do reference Hulk's transformation.

Another episode that sticks out is when most of the crew became machines. Yes we haven't even reach the craziest this show gets at times. Not even close in fact, Sealab 2021 is a show filled with moments you likely won't see anywhere else. Honestly, I'm glad I was able to rewatch the show. But more than that I got to fully watch it all, I'm glad I did.

Sealab 2021 is a show that I can only recommend for people who wants stupid things to happen. Yes we are talking some incredibly stupid moments that occurred on the show. I should point out, the voice actor for Captain Murphy died during season 3. His character left Sealab to take part in a war on the moon, I did say he's strangely interesting right?

I still have a few more things I wanna say about the show. Sealab 2021 is a show you kinda want more of. Mostly because a very large amount of the crazy moments happens underneath the sea. Which you may not find elsewhere. They do openly reference a few Hanna-Barbera shows as well. Honestly, Sealab 2021 is something you gotta see no matter what the reason may be.

There's always a chance you may dislike the show or at least like it more than the original show it's a parody of. There's also the chance you may love the show like I do. They don't hold back on the violence either. I do think the final season is still fun to watch. I can't even say there's a bad episode, which is rare for me to say.

my thoughts on Futurama coming back for a third, stream run

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I confess one of my absolute favorite sitcom shows is Futurama. You already know I'm a huge Simpsons fan. A while back, a crossover episode on The Simpsons brought both shows together. Futurama was something truly ahead in time literately. I do plan to discuss the previous two runs of the show, it's up to you if you view it more of my review of the show or just point of view.

Futurama is a spiritual successor to The Simpsons. In a very similar fashion of Hanna-Barbera doing that with The Jetsons to the Flintstones. Who also crossed over in a movie no lie. A lot of similar jokes you may expect from The Simpsons. Don't worry, Futurama has it's own jokes that stands the test of time. The show centers around a former delivery man named Philip J. Fry.

On New Years in the year of 1999, he ends up into a machine frozen for a thousand years. He gets release in the year of 3000. Obviously, the world notably changed since his long rest. Of course, Futurama also shows many planets as well as some crazy situations. Personally, to me these seasons are the heart of the show.

There's plenty of great things I can say about it. The characters are very rememberable with Bender always been my favorite. Obviously, Bender is this show's Homer but more of a prick. Fry is more like Bart well he does wear a red coat. Leela is like a mix between Marge but more Lisa I felt is fair to say. She has similar hair color to Marge but her personality more like Lisa's.

Fry with a group of people works for an intergalactic delivery service. Their boss Professor Farnsworth so happens to be a nephew of Fry, I'm actually serious. I would say the animation alone was even better than The Simpsons during it's prime. Futurama made a show about the distant future so awesome. Yes they do bring up some mind blowing stuff as well.

This show was truly amazing for it's time. I would even say these seasons were virtually flawless. I would even say one of the greatest animated sitcom shows to ever aired on Fox. Honestly, it even gave The Simpsons a run for it's money at times. Futurama is hands down a fantastic show at it's core. They don't shy away from the humor, they literately get you laughing a lot here.

Second run on Comedy Central ran for three seasons partly started from DVD releases.

I would say Comedy Central was all over the place here. Before I discuss the elephant in the room here. Can you imagine Futurama being on two particular channels where long running animated sitcom shows started? Futurama did aired against King of the Hill respectively on Fox. Obviously, they more directly competed against South Park on Comedy Central.

Futurama season 5 is always something that I thought was very odd as well as unusual. Yes DVD sales brought Family Guy back twice. But it's a different matter here because they chose to make four Futurama movies. Which also made into four episodes per a movie. Basically sixteen episodes in season 5.

Usually the movies for these sitcom shows is their own movie that's still canon like The Simpsons Movie. Here, we got four Futurama movies that suddenly became an entire season of a show. Partly mind blowing right? Moving on, Comedy Central for unexplained reasons aired episodes of both season 6 & 7 out of order too.

Some episodes among them were kinda like some Simpsons episodes with several stories. One of them even done three very different styles. I strongly felt these seasons could've been way better. I will confess the one episode you gotta watch is the last one they done. Now this episode was surprisingly well done despite most episodes during this run.

We have time stopped, Fry & Leela gets to almost spend the rest of their lives together. Until, a surprising option comes out of no where. Both of them accepted to do that option to reboot things. It's very much a regular thing in the show Rick & Morty. Futurama just felt the show tried too hard. More than The Simpsons episodes of that period in fact.

Comedy Central always had South Park's back. Especially in the beginning from other channels wanted absolutely nothing to do with the show. So I knew Futurama was in hot waters on that channel. Honestly, I'm surprised they aired three seasons. I should point out the last two seasons they done are both twenty six episodes long.

Officially tied for the longest seasons of the show so far. I say that because I still got something else to discuss in a little bit. Futurama went as far as they possibly could time concept wise. There's an episode where three of them stays inside a time machine going through all of time a few times. Effectively making all three of them incredibly old beings.

New Hulu run

Next year on the streaming service Futurama will return once again. This run nearly happened without Bender's original voice actor. But after a lot of fans spoke out, they were able to get the actor into the show. People do need to realize, John DiMaggio is a busy guy. He's in a lot of shows, it's mind blowing. So I felt people shouldn't got upset he didn't come back.

Also being on a streaming service. Either they will slowly put episodes of the season on or all of it at once. Such as the case of Netflix sitcom shows like Big Mouth. Regardless, I hope this makes up for the last three seasons of the show. Those seasons alone are why I don't put the show so high with some animated sitcom shows recently.

Futurama is in high demand without question. Most of the nostalgia is likely the first four seasons. If they got the right people, we could be heading into one of the finest seasons yet. However the opposite is also a strong reality too. Honestly, I do wish the team the very best of luck with the show. I do want Futurama to be great once again like a lot of people do.

Resident Evil RE: Verse review (earliest version)

Hello everyone I'm XboxClown89, I spent a week mostly playing Resident Evil RE: Verse. I previously played the open beta of the game a while back. This was before the unexpected delay. Regardless, it took longer but does it somehow live up to the hype or ends up as a bigger disappointment? I guess you have to find out.

Resident Evil RE: Verse (2022)

A quick recap here, this was meant to be the multiplayer companion RE game to Resident Evil Village. A similar strategy Capcom pulled with Resident Evil: Resistance to Resident Evil 3 Remake. There's a few major differences though. Resident Evil Village was the better game, it should be. Also some of the stuff they added for Village quickly made a lot of people forget about RE: Verse.

Yes I do plan on reviewing Shadows of Rose soon after a second playthrough. Back to this, unlike Resistance this was free for all style. Slightly more players just by one, six players. It felt like they wanted to cash in on stuff like Fortnite but it's notably down scaled from those games. Not to mention, this was meant to be an anniversary RE game but got delayed beyond the original date.

So it technically no longer an anniversary game. Yes they are planning to add stuff to the game. I might come back with a final review in the near future. I recently gotten all the achievements as of today in fact. Speaking of those, it felt Capcom wanted to gift them out rather make you really work for it like in Resistance's case.

I will say adding in Crossplay does makes matches even more repetitive at times. I only got to play that enabled through the entire achievement process. We don't even know if they plan on adding in more achievements or not. If they don't add any, I'm already done achievement hunting the game. Sadly, there's isn't much to discuss about the actual game.

The changes done from the beta are slightly notable I say. For me, the big improvement if you can call it that is both Tyrants are slightly tougher. In the beta, you could easily kill both Nemesis and Super X with an handgun. There isn't many characters as well as creatures in the game you play as either. It's a small but somewhat interesting roster for what it is.

I should point out Fat Moldy is the default creature choice if you didn't collect any viral canisters. It's random for the other two tiers which creature you get. Personally, I still think Tier 1 with Hunter Gamma & Jack Baker still the best overall. Of course, minus Fat Moldy most creatures do have an instant death move.

You may have to attempt it a few times within matches. Most matches lasts a little over five minutes thanks to editing I know that. I confess a few days I played off stream. During that period, I did get Chris in 1st place once. There isn't much actual strategies either. You can easily play without increasing or changing something else in some way among your play style.

I do like you can get more points as well as collect additional points from multiple challenges. Tutorial is surprisingly short but it does explain the game well enough to help get you started. Currently, there's no campaign of any kind in the game. Sadly, this seems to be the last RE game Xbox One is getting. Considering RE4 Remake isn't coming to the console.

Honestly, in that regard what a disappointing conclusion of an RE game library on a game console. I still need to buy dlc for RE: Verse on the side. Despite that, some animations I felt needs to be fixed. For example it's possible to counter someone's attack with another character's attack if done correctly. This also a major issue with instant death animations.

You could be a little while away, all of a sudden you see your character getting instantly killed. Hell they could seem to be a little off yet you still die. So that's something Capcom needs to fix. Also a huge disappointment there's no option to play this with teams. Now that alone would've went a long way if it were included from the start.

I felt stuff like that coming afterwards with not many people playing the game. It's almost like Capcom already gave up on the game even before it's release. Which further bags the question why save the game Capcom? It's also kinda weird we already given two very different Chris skins in the game too. In the beta, you had RE7 Chris model.

They changed that to an additional skin you can use points to get. Now his default skin is that of Village, a good idea. I will be honest, this doesn't even compare to stuff like Resident Evil: Resistance or Operation Raccoon City for that matter. I am so disappointed with the actual game. To make things worse, the real reason it got delayed was because the same team also working on Silent Hill f.

Yes you heard me correctly, the same team responsible for developing Resistance and RE: Verse. Who also ported RE2 Remake, RE3 Remake and RE7 to newer platforms is making an Silent Hill game. Thank you Dead by Daylight for causing the one thing in horror game I personally don't want to happen!!!

There's currently two maps, they are planning to add Village map to the game soon. It gets rather boring with so little maps. I felt I do better at Baker House map. If you end up in the top 3, you technically one of the winners of the matches. A lot of online multiplayer games doesn't do that concept. To me, the game felt largely as an after thought.

You want an unpopular opinion, well here it is. Dead Rising 4's Capcom Heroes mode is way better than this!!! RE: Verse is meant to be this cash in RE game. It clearly shows yet at the same time will never live up to our expectations even back when it originally got announced. The fact this is meant to come with Village is a major insult to us fans.

I don't recommend giving this a try, you will be more thankful if you don't. The game tries to sell the fans on something that just isn't what it's stated to be in the first place. RE: Verse is only a little fun for a little while before you quickly switch out games. Honestly, there's plenty of decent RE games including a few worthy spin off games way better than this!!!
